Donetsk oblast

In late February, warning signs regarding the threat of russian FPV drone strikes were installed in Kramatorsk on the road through Kutova gully between Damanskyi and Lazurnyi districts—drivers are asked to use alternative routes as drones are hunting vehicles. According to the City Military Administration, since the beginning of the year, russians have attacked the city over 80 times with various types of UAVs, in addition to using artillery and guided aerial bombs.

According to the head of the EW (Electronic Warfare) service of the 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the NGU, the occupiers primarily use cheap FPV drones—specifically Molniia, Italmas (BM-35), and other modifications, including those using fiber optics. Ukrainian military personnel counter them using small arms, electronic warfare assets, and specialized anti-aircraft drones. In the city, where approximately 80,000 people currently reside and the frontline is located about 17 km away, local residents regularly hear explosions, and the military characterizes these UAV attacks as part of a tactic of terrorizing the civilian population.

According to the General Staff, towards Pokrovsk, russian forces attacked 21 times over the past day in the vicinity of Rodynske, Kotlyne, Novomykolaivka, Udachne, and Filiia, and near the settlements of Bilytske, Novooleksandrivka, and Novopavlivka.

Towards Kostiantynivka: Russian troops attacked 19 times. However, no combat was reported towards Kramatorsk.

On 5 March, police recorded 1,127 russian strikes along the frontline and the residential sector of the oblast.

Three settlements were under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, and Sloviansk. 20 civilian objects were destroyed, 12 of which were residential buildings.

In Kostiantynivka, a russian FPV drone injured a civilian.

In Druzhkivka, russians struck with a “KAB-250” bomb and drones—damaging 2 private houses and a boiler house.

Sloviansk was attacked by five drones, including Molniia-2 and Granat-4—14 private houses, a tractor, and a car were damaged.

In Lyman, information was confirmed regarding a civilian injured as a result of shelling on 4 March.

Throughout 2026, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the russian federation intends to significantly reduce the list of occupations previously barred to women. This is because total—albeit hidden—mobilization is having significant negative consequences. Personnel shortages have emerged even in manual trades. Currently, the shortage has reached a level where there are no candidates for vacancies. Therefore, from 2027, women will be forced to work as excavator and loader operators, as well as miners. The problem of personnel replacement is particularly acute in the so-called “lnr,” where there is an extreme shortage of miners whom russia sent to war.

In the kindergartens of Lutuhyne, classes on countering terrorism and extremism are being held. The instruction was received from the so-called “lnr ministry of education and science” and coordinated with the security structures of the russian federation. The latter are conducting the relevant activities, involving children from both older and younger groups. From childhood, they are being accustomed to the dangerous life in russia, where human destiny is worth nothing.
