The Head of the Secretariat of the Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), Tonni Ann Brodber, visited the Ukrainian Women’s Guard UWG Hub in Borodianka during her official visit to Ukraine.
For the Ukrainian Women’s Guard, this meeting was an important opportunity for an open dialogue about running a women-led organization in the context of full-scale war, the daily challenges faced by women and girls, and the role of women’s leadership in strengthening community resilience.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian Women’s Guard team shared practical field experience, including:
Mental health support for women affected by occupation and loss;
Implementation of humanitarian initiatives;
Protection of women’s rights and advocacy;
Development of women’s leadership;
Strengthening institutional capacity and expanding the network.
The UZHV Hub in Borodianka has become a safe space for women — a place of support, recovery, and rebuilding trust within the community.
