 As of 31 August, the death toll of the russian invaders is about 47 900.

✅ On the morning of  August 31, there were several explosions heard in the russian city of Belgorod. The authorities reported that the anti-aircraft defense was working. Besides, there were explosions heard at night in the occupied Kherson.

✅ In the evening, explosions rang out in Kherson and Beryslav, Kherson Oblast. Presumably, Ukrainian defenders have struck the Antonivsky Bridge once again.

✅ The UK intelligence reports that Ukrainian military managed to advance the front line in some areas in the south and the russian federation will probably try to reinforce these areas.

✅ The Insider reports that by the end of 2022, russia will face an acute shortage of shells, artillery and armored vehicles.

✅ The IAEA mission left Kyiv for the Zaporizhzhia NPP, where they have to assess the situation and establish a permanent representation. The occupiers said they were letting the mission work one day only.

✅ CNN, citing a White House official, says that the Biden administration has been helping the Ukrainian military prepare for a counteroffensive in the south for the past two months by addressing their specific requests for military assistance.

✅ Poland, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania warns they may introduce national measures to reduce the number of russian citizens entering their countries and the Schengen area unless the European Union agrees on a collective approach.

✅ According to Head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell, at a meeting in Prague, EU foreign ministers decided to completely suspend the agreement on the facilitated visa regime with the russian federation and asked the European Commission to come up with a solution what to do with millions of valid visas issued to russians.
