It has been the 1300  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   
At present, the enemy has attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 88 times.

Russian artillery shelling affected the border areas of our country, including the settlements of Novovasylivka, Stara Huta, Vilna Sloboda, Bobylivka, Kozache in Sumy oblast; Khrinivka, Kliusy, Huta-Studenetska, Karpovychi, Arkhipivka, Leonivka, Mykhalchyna Sloboda in Chernihiv roblast.

Towards North Slobozhanske and Kursk, the enemy attempted offensive actions three times. Enemy aviation carried out three airstrikes, dropping a total of 11 guided bombs. Additionally, the enemy conducted 88 artillery strikes, including four from multiple launch rocket systems.

Towards South Slobozhanske, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy assaults near Vovchansk, Vovchansk Khutory, Ambarne, and Krasne Pershe. Seven more engagements are still ongoing.

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked six times towards Kupiansk near the settlements of Kindrashivka, Zahryzove, and in the direction of Kupiansk. One engagement is still ongoing.

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian units repelled five attacks in the areas of Serednie, Stavky, and near Hrekivka, Derylove, Shandryholove, Kolodiazi, and Torske. Six attacks are still ongoing.

Towards Siversk, Ukrainian troops repelled one enemy attack. Occupying forces are trying to advance near Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, and toward the settlements of Yampil and Dronivka. Four engagements are ongoing.

Towards Kramatorsk, there were two clashes with the enemy near Stupochky and Bila Hora.

Towards Toretsk, russian occupiers attacked our defenders’ positions seven times in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Katerynivka, and in the direction of Pleshchiivka, Rusynyi Yar, and Poltavka. Ukrainian units repelled two attacks, and five engagements are still ongoing.

Towards Pokrovsk, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers carried out 25 attacks on our defenders’ positions in the areas of Volodymyrivka, Zapovidne, Novoekonomichne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachne, and in the direction of Vilne, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Promen, Zvirove, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, Novopavlivka, Ternove, and Novoivanivka. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 24 of these attacks.

Towards Novopavlivka, the invaders launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Yalta, Komyshuvakha, Vorone, and in the direction of Filiia, Iskra, Sichneve, and Olhivske. Two engagements are still ongoing.

Towards Huliaipole, no combat engagements were recorded. The enemy carried out an airstrike near the settlement of Zaliznychne.

Towards Orikhiv, the enemy attacked twice near Kamianske and in the direction of Novodanylivka. The enemy carried out airstrikes near the settlement of Veselyanka.

Towards Kherson, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks. Enemy aviation struck Mykolaivka with unguided air-launched missiles.

According to Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov, one day of war with russia costs Ukraine $172m. In 2026, Ukraine’s military expenditures could reach about $120bn, even if combat operations end.

Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi “Madiar”, said that Starlink has again stopped working along the entire front line. Users in other countries also noticed issues with the satellite internet, and the company reported a service outage.

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline
There were 1,349 combat engagements along the front line.

Shelling and Attacks
A 40-year-old and a 71-year-old man were injured as a result of an attack by a Russian FPV drone on a civilian vehicle in Borova, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov. The men are in moderate condition.

At around 11:30, Russian forces dropped four aerial bombs on Nechvolodivka in the Kindrashivka community, reported the head of the Kupiansk RMA, Andriy Kanashevych. According to him, there was damage to houses, but no casualties among civilians.

Two people were injured as a result of enemy shelling in Borova. Preliminary information indicates that in the morning, the occupiers struck a civilian car with an FPV drone. The 40-year-old and 71-year-old men were hospitalized in moderate condition. Medical personnel are providing them with all necessary care.

At around 22:00, Russian FPV drones attacked Perovske in the Zolochiv community, reported the head of the Regional Military Administration, Viktor Kovalenko. Power lines, a house, and outbuildings were damaged. No one was injured.

Over the past week, at least 53 settlements in Kharkiv region suffered enemy attacks.

As a result of shelling, 33 people were injured. One person was killed.

In addition, due to the explosion of an unknown object, one person died and three were injured, including an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old boy.

The enemy actively used various types of weapons across Kharkiv region:

▪️ 24 KAB bombs
▪️ 57 UAVs of the “Geran-2” type
▪️ 10 UAVs of the “Molniya” type
▪️ 19 FPV drones
▪️ 3 UAVs (type to be determined)

Significant damage was inflicted on civilian infrastructure in the Kupiansk district, including at least one apartment building and 25 private houses, a lyceum and a preschool facility, 2 enterprises, 3 warehouse facilities, 5 cars, 5 combines, 2 tractors, an emergency medical vehicle, 12 outbuildings, 2 garages, and power lines.

Substantial damage was also reported in the Izium district: 2 apartment buildings and 17 private houses, a school, warehouse and outbuilding facilities, 2 farm buildings, a car and a truck, and 3 hectares of forest litter burned.

In Kharkiv district, the enemy damaged 21 private houses, power lines, railway infrastructure, buildings of a children’s camp, a garage, a car, and also caused grass fires over an area of 2,000 sq. m.

One man died and three others were injured due to Russian munitions explosions during the week of September 8–14, including two children. Over 40 residents of the region also suffered shock and injuries from Russian strikes. During the week, at least four people were reported killed as a result of shelling, including a teenager who had been injured in August.

Units of the State Emergency Service (DSNS) extinguished 29 fires caused by enemy shelling and neutralized 1,114 explosive devices.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline
Towards Lyman, Ukrainian drone operators destroyed russian occupiers’ vehicles transporting personnel and timber for fortifications.

According to the press service of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov”, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces cleared Pankivka and the surrounding areas in Dobropillia.

Referring to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on Donetsk fronts on September 14, russian forces launched 146 assaults on Defense Forces positions. The most intense fighting occurred towards Pokrovsk and Siversk.

Towards Siversk, Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 Russian attacks. Enemy units attempted to advance near Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, Dronivka, Vyimka, and Fedorivka.

Towards Pokrovsk, the Defense Forces stopped 58 Russian assaults in the areas of Fedorivka, Nikanorivka, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Sukhetske, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Novopidhorodne, Shakhove, Vilne, Zvirove, Molodetske, Novoukrainka, Filiya, Dachne, Novoivanivka, and toward Novopavlivka.

Shelling
Oleksandr Honcharenko, Head of the Military-Civil Administration, stated that russian forces shelled Kramatorsk at 10:40am and 12:15pm. 

  • At 10:40am — strike on an open area in a private sector. 
  • At 12:15pm — an attack UAV hit the territory of an educational facility. 

Head Serhii Horbunov reported that one person was injured during shelling in Kostiantynivka on September 15. Buildings were also damaged.

 Oleksandr Honcharenko, Head of Kramatorsk CMA, informed that during the night of September 15, russian occupiers struck downtown Kramatorsk with three bombs. Fifteen people were injured.

According to Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Regional Military Administration, the shelling damaged 35 apartment buildings, three educational institutions, administrative buildings, a bank, and shops. 

Due to the russian shelling, 864 apartments in Kramatorsk remain without gas supply, according to the press service of Donetskoblhaz.

In Kramatorsk, rescuers freed a person trapped under building debris in one of the houses damaged by the russian shelling.

On September 14, the police recorded 2,704 enemy strikes along the front line and on residential areas.

Fifteen settlements came under fire: the cities of Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Mykolaivka, Myrnohrad, Sloviansk; the towns of Donetske, Oleksandrivka, Yampil; and the villages of Andriivka, Vasylivka, Ocheretyne, and Shostakivka.

Seventy-four civilian facilities were damaged, including 35 residential buildings.

In Kostiantynivka, russians carried out 12 strikes using FPV drones, Smerch MLRS, and artillery – one civilian was killed and nine others were injured. Six apartment buildings and eight private houses, a hospital, a pension fund office, and an outbuilding were damaged.

One person was killed in Myrnohrad as a result of an FPV drone strike.

Nine people were injured in Kramatorsk. During the day, the city endured four drone attacks, which damaged a gas station, 11 garages, and a civilian vehicle. At night, the enemy dropped three FAB-250 bombs on a residential area, causing damage to residential buildings; assessment of the aftermath is ongoing.

In Lyman, the enemy deployed five UAVs – four civilians were injured, and a civilian vehicle was damaged.

In Druzhkivka, an attack by a Geran-3 (Italmas) UAV injured a civilian and damaged two apartment buildings and three cars.

In Andriivka, Kramatorsk region, an enemy FPV drone hit a civilian vehicle, injuring two people.

Five drones of various types attacked Sloviansk – damage was recorded to five apartment buildings, two private houses, and one non-residential building.

The CMA reported that on 15 September, ten more people were evacuated from Kostiantynivka.

Luhansk oblast

The russians carried out 44 assault operations towards Lyman and Siversk. They pressed near 10 settlements. In our area of responsibility, they used barrel artillery 18 times. They struck twice with multiple launch rocket systems. 45 enemy drones attempted to carry out combat missions.

A pilot project has been launched in a number of educational institutions of the so-called “lpr” to introduce a system for assessing student behaviour. Schools are offered three models to choose from: pass/fail, three-point and five-point systems. The assessment will be made by the class teacher based on the opinions of teachers and school administrators. This assessment will have the same weight as other subjects. It should be noted that behaviour assessments in schools were abolished in the 1980s. However, the russians have decided to return to the Soviet era.

Without access to mobile communications and the internet, the locals who remained in Siverskodonetsk and visitors from the russian Federation communicate using portable radio receivers, specifically, to find a taxi. At night, this is the only way to call the fire brigade.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office has issued a notice of suspicion in absentia against a Russian serviceman accused of cruel treatment of civilians. According to law enforcement, in March 2022, during the occupation of the village of Katuzhanka, he, together with other soldiers, came to the home of a local resident. The occupiers demanded that the man confess to “collaboration” with Ukrainian forces, and the suspect knocked him to the ground and struck him with his hands and the butt of his weapon.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, from the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion until the end of January 2025, 150,447 war crimes have been registered in Ukraine. During this period, 543 indictments under Article 438 of the Criminal Code – war crimes – have been submitted to Ukrainian courts.

Specialists from the company “Ukrainian Demining Services” (UDS) were awarded for their high professionalism and significant contribution to the safety and restoration of Kyiv region, according to the regional state administration. On September 8, the certified demining operator “Ukrainian Demining Services” celebrated its second anniversary. Since its founding, the company has become the largest Ukrainian operator in demining and entered the top three in terms of cleared areas in Ukraine. Currently, the team has 207 specialists, including 161 sappers, and one-third of the staff are veterans of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In Kyiv, psychological support groups are being organized for wives of servicemen who are missing or held in captivity, according to the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA). The first meeting for the wives of missing defenders will take place on September 18 in the format of resource-based art therapy. The event will be held at the Day Center for Social and Psychological Assistance.

 

Zhytomyr oblast

During the 16th Deruny (Potato Pancake) Festival, held in Korosten on September 13, nearly UAH 550,000 was raised for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This year, the charitable event was attended by approximately 9,000 people.

Sumy oblast

In morning update of 15 September the General Staff reported that towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, 11 combat engagements took place. The enemy launched two missile and 15 air strikes, used five missiles, dropped 28 guided bombs, and carried out 193 artillery attacks, including three by multiple launch rocket systems.

According to the Regional Military Administration (RMA), eight civilians were injured on 15 September as a result of russian attacks. In Trostianets community, a 16-year-old boy, a 30-year-old woman, a 75-year-old woman, and two men aged 40 and 51 sought medical help. In Sumy community, a 29-year-old woman was wounded by drone fragments during an interception; she was hospitalised. In Yunakivka community, a 69-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman were injured.

Oleh Hryhorov, Head of Sumy RMA, said that late in the evening, russians launched a missile strike on the outskirts of a village in Boromlia community. The target was a field where agricultural machinery was operating. Eleven men who were harvesting were hospitalised, one of them in serious condition. Tractors and combines were damaged.

During the day, from the morning of 14 September to the morning of 15 September, russian forces carried out 73 attacks on 33 settlements in 17 communities of the oblast. Most attacks were recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (25 strikes), UAVs (15 strikes), missile attacks (up to 10), as well as FPV-drones and VOG drops from UAVs.

Consequences of russian attacks on Sumy oblast as of the morning of 15 September:

  • In Boromlia community, about 30 units of agricultural machinery were damaged;

  • In Mykolaivka rural community, a private house and an outbuilding were damaged;

  • In Velyka Pysarivka community, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;

  • In Krasnopillia community, a tractor was destroyed;

  • In Bilopollia community, a private household was damaged;

  • In Vorozhba community, residential houses and power lines were damaged.

Over the past day, local authorities, together with the State Emergency Service, National Police, and NGOs from border communities, evacuated nine people.

In Konotop, healthcare workers were trained in advanced resuscitation skills – from theory to practical exercises on mannequins. The training was conducted by instructors of the Ukrainian Resuscitation Council to prepare medics for work in emergency situations.

Chernihiv oblast

The Regional Department for Civil Protection and Defence Work reported that a 59-year-old resident of a village in Nizhyn region was injured on 14 September as a result of a russian drone attack. In total, nine enemy attacks were recorded in the oblast during the day.

Oleksandr Kodola, Nizhyn Mayor, said that in Nizhyn, following a second russian drone attack on an oil depot on 14 September, all property at a private enterprise was destroyed, as well as a nearby petrol station.

Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that during the day, russian forces attacked three border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Horodnia. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (3 explosions), strikes by “Molniya” drones (1 explosion), FPV-drone attacks (21 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (9 explosions).

According to Police, in Chernihiv oblast, bomb disposal experts neutralised unexploded warheads of russian drones. These UAVs had been downed by the Ukrainian Defence Forces in Nizhyn and Novhorod-Siverskyi regions.

 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Air defence forces were active in the oblast, with 6 enemy UAVs destroyed.

Enemy attacks on Nikopol region continued. The occupiers used drones and artillery to strike the regional centre and Pokrov community. In Pokrov, a 63-year-old woman was injured in the shelling and received medical assistance. As a result of the attack, a utility building was destroyed, 4 private houses, an utility building and a gas pipeline damaged. In Pavlohrad region, a transport company in the Yuriivka community sustained damage from a drone strike. Apostolove in Kryvyi Rih region came under attack, which caused a fire. Strikes were recorded in Synelnykove region, where drones and aerial bombs targeted Mezhova and Pokrov communities. A fire broke out and a medical facility and an administrative building were damaged.

The enemy again attacked Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih and Synelnykove regions. In Nikopol region, around 30 strikes were carried out by drones and artillery, targeting the regional centre, Myrove, Marhanetsk and Pokrov communities. In Nikopol, a 33-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman were injured; both received medical assistance. Damage was recorded to 3 shops, a, 2 private houses, a garage, a utility building, infrastructure, a vehicle and a power line. In Synelnykove region, a drone strike in Mezhova community damaged a car. In Hrushivka community of Kryvyi Rih region, a drone strike caused a fire and damaged infrastructure.

Vinnytsia oblast 

In Vinnytsia community, an Alley of Memory and Hope was opened to honor the fallen and the missing. It features 10 banners with portraits of residents who have given their lives in the struggle for Ukraine’s freedom and independence since the start of russia’s war against Ukraine in 2014 and 4 portraits of missing soldiers who are still awaited by their families.

 

In Vinnytsia, recovery works continue following the enemy attack of 10 September. Additional reports of damaged property continue to be registered. To date, 72 claims from 34 buildings have been filed.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Dobrovelychkivka settlement, a memorial ceremony was held for Ukrainian defender Maksym Bilous, who was 26 years old. He was killed on 8 September 2025 while carrying out a combat mission near Myrnohrad city, Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast.

Poltava oblast

Serviceman Ihor Diachenko from Myrhorod was killed on 12 September 2025 while performing his duties in Kharkiv oblast. He held the rank of Senior Soldier.

Cherkasy oblast

In Smila, a memorial ceremony was held for defender Vladyslav Damorov, who was killed on 7 September 2025 as a result of an enemy FPV drone strike in Sumy oblast.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Today, 15 September, the russian army attacked Novopavlivka, Orikhiv community with a drone. One person was killed in the strike.

At night, the enemy attacked Kushuhum community and the suburbs of Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the russian shelling, two private houses in the community were completely destroyed and several more were damaged.

Yesterday, 14 September, the occupiers carried out 607 strikes on 17 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 9 airstrikes on Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Uspenivka, Chervone, and Bilohiria. 398 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Mahdalynivka, Tavriiske, Plavni, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Novoandriivka, Preobrazhenka, and Uspenivka. 9 MLRS attacks targeted Zaporizhzhia, Kushuhum, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Chervone. 191 artillery strikes were launched on Plavni, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Novoandriivka, and Chervone. Three reports were received about damage to private houses and outbuildings. One person was killed and two others were injured as a result of enemy attacks on Polohy region.

According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 15 September, the enemy attacked twice in the vicinity of Kamianka and Novodanylivka towards Orikhiv. Yesterday, 14 September, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled two russian attacks towards Orikhiv and another one towards Huliaipole.

Mykolaiv oblast

Yesterday, on 14 September, the enemy carried out two FPV drone attacks. As a result of one of the attacks on the village of Dmytrivka, a 68-year-old man was injured and hospitalized. In addition, a truck was also damaged.

Kherson oblast

Two residents of Bilozerka sought medical help after coming under russian shelling the previous evening. A 33-year-old man sustained a blast injury. The second victim, a 40-year-old man, was diagnosed with a blast injury and a concussion.

A resident of the village of Tomyna Balka in Bilozerka community, who was injured in russian shelling on 13 September, also sought medical help. The 47-year-old woman was diagnosed with a blast injury.

Medical assistance was also needed for a resident of the village of Inhulets, who was injured in a russian airstrike on 13 September. He sustained a concussion, a blast injury, and a closed head injury.

Yesterday, on 14 September, the russian army shelled Kherson and Beryslav regions with artillery, mortars, drones, and aviation. Kherson, Sadove, Kizomys, Dniprovske, Sofiivka, Bilozerka, Antonivka, Yantarne, Novodmytrivka, Nadiivka, Prydniprovske, Oleksandrivka, Naddniprianske, Beryslav, Dudchany, Zolota Balka, Novoraisk, Odradokamianka, Olhivka, Lviv, Virivka, Tiahynka, and Mykolaivka were attacked. As a result of russian attacks, seven private houses, a medical station on the premises of a utility enterprise, a gas pipeline, and a garage were damaged. Two people were killed and two others injured due to russian aggression.

According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 15 September, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks towards Kherson. The occupiers’ aviation launched an attack with unguided aerial rockets on Mykolaivka.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Oleh Oliferchuk, resident of the village of Stara Vyzhivka, was killed in battle with russian invaders on 19 December, 2024, while performing a combat mission, as a result of artillery fire, near the settlement of Kruhlenkoye, Kursk oblast, but the burial will take place only on 17 September 2025.

Zakarpattia oblast

Uzhhorod has a new twin city. During a working visit to Hungary, Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv ​​signed a cooperation agreement with the 3rd district of Budapest, Obuda-Bekasmedy.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

A fire truck for the Polyhon TPV municipal enterprise from the Ukrainian community in Thuringia.

Lviv oblast

The RMA reported that an aviation complex of 11 aircraft has been transferred to the West Air Command.

On 12–13 September, Lviv hosted about 450 participants of the 3rd All-Ukrainian Congress on Physical Therapy. The event was attended by physical therapists, Ukrainian and international experts, representatives of state institutions, public organizations, patient and veteran communities.

A charity holiday concert Independents Under The Protection Of Heroes was held in Skhidnytsia. Through the efforts of the organizers, participants and spectators, they raised UAH 100,000 in support of the military.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting within the framework of the platform Dialogue Between Government And Business. This time I met with women entrepreneurs. They discussed creating conditions that will help every woman realize her potential.

Ternopil oblast

The 37th Separate Marine Brigade received 10 True Flex 10 FPV drones Ternopil community.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community sent 107 ten-inch FPV drones to the combat unit of the Defense Forces.

Chernivtsi oblast

Sokyrian community met Serhii Ohorodnyk, who returned from russian captivity. The 55-year-old soldier fell into the hands of russians in June 2023 in Luhansk oblast. He was released in July of this year. Serhii Ohorodnyk returned home after treatment and rehabilitation.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Ukraine received €1bn from the EU at the expense of frozen russian assets. It is noted that in total, within the framework of the ERA initiative, the Ministry of Finance has already attracted €10bn from the European Union.

Denmark simplifies legislation for the sake of Ukrainian weapons. Thanks to the new law, approved by a large parliamentary majority, the government has the right to temporarily cancel the effect of more than 20 laws and regulations, if it concerns projects that are “essential for national security or civil protection”. This includes, environmental, urban planning, land and environmental legislation. The possibility of expropriation of land is also provided for.
