What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

The armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues. Since the beginning of the day, 73 combat engagements have taken place. Our defenders are destroying the enemy while holding their defensive positions.

Today, the settlements of Korenok, Malushyne, Ryzhivka, Yastrubshchyna, and Budky in Sumy Oblast came under artillery fire from terrorist Russian forces. In addition, the occupiers launched airstrikes on Sukhodil, Luzhky, Mala Slobidka, and Ulanove in Sumy Oblast.

In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy attack. The enemy carried out 26 attacks on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy assaults near the settlement of Hraniv.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian soldiers stopped two attempts by the occupiers to advance toward Podoly and Borivska Andriivka.

In the Lyman sector, nine enemy attacks were recorded. Our defenders successfully repelled six assault actions near Zarichne, Andriivka, Drobysheve, Lyman, Dibrova, and in the area of Ozerne. Three combat engagements are ongoing.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy attempted to break through our defenses five times. Four attacks were repelled near Zakitne and toward Kryva Luka, Mykolaivka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka. One engagement is still underway.

In the Kramatorsk sector, one enemy assault action was recorded near the city of Chasiv Yar.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, seven attacks took place near Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka, and toward Kostiantynivka, Mykolaiopillia, and Dovha Balka. Six attacks were repelled, while one engagement continues.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the aggressor launched 24 assault operations. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 22 attacks in the areas of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Kotlyne, Udachne, and toward Nove Shakhove, Vilne, Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Nykanorivka, and Novyi Donbas. Two attacks are ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked twice near Vorone.

In the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers carried out eighteen attacks in the areas of Solodke, Luhivske, Novoselivka, and toward Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, and Charivne. Fifteen assaults were repelled, while three combat engagements continue.

No enemy offensive actions were recorded in the Orikhiv and Prydniprovske sectors.

Additionally, new Unmanned Systems units will be established along Ukraine’s northern border. Territorial Defense brigades will also be reinforced, particularly with drone components. This will enhance capabilities for reconnaissance, enemy engagement, and the protection of designated areas of responsibility. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Four people were injured in Kharkiv on the morning of June 16 as a result of a Russian attack on the city.

In the Kyivskyi district, debris from a Russian UAV fell on the grounds of a church and in a courtyard near a residential apartment building. A vehicle was damaged. One of the enemy drone strikes hit the territory of a civilian enterprise in the Kholodnohirskyi district, causing a fire. In the Osnovianskyi district, dry grass caught fire in an open area. Firefighters successfully extinguished all fires.

Eight people, including two children, were injured during a nighttime drone attack on the town of Balakliia in Kharkiv Oblast on June 16, according to the Head of the Regional Military Administration, Olekh Syniehubov.

The strikes ignited four private residential houses, a basement facility, vehicles, outbuildings, and a garage. Emergency services responded promptly to contain and extinguish the fires.

 

A 60-year-old man drove over an explosive device on the road between Zolochiv and Klynova-Novoselivka at approximately 11:30 a.m. on June 16. The driver of a VAZ-2110 sustained burns, injuries, and an acute stress reaction. The vehicle was destroyed in the explosion, according to Zolochiv community head Viktor Kovalenko.

One woman was injured and five others suffered acute stress reactions following a Russian drone strike on Shevchenkove in Kupiansk District on the morning of June 15. Kharkiv Regional Military Administration spokesperson Anna Hontar reported that a Russian Geran-2 drone struck the settlement at around 9:40 a.m. According to Kupiansk District Military Administration head Andrii Kanashevych, two shops and two vehicles were damaged.

Russian forces launched a missile strike on the village of Dobrenka in Berestyn District on June 15. Eight people were reported injured, including two children. An abandoned house caught fire, and ten additional private homes were damaged, according to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov.

A day of mourning will be observed in Kharkiv from 00:00 to 17:00 on June 17 in honor of the rescuers and a municipal emergency department employee killed during missile strikes on the Kholodnohirskyi District. Memorial events and farewell ceremonies will be held, city authorities announced.

According to Kharkiv Regional Police Chief Petro Tokar, Russian forces carried out a strike against rescuers in Kharkiv during the night of June 15 using ballistic missiles equipped with high-explosive fragmentation warheads. He stated that it was a double-tap attack: emergency responders were extinguishing a fire caused by a Geran-2 drone strike several hours earlier when the missile attack occurred. Since the beginning of 2026, Russian forces have employed this tactic 16 times in the region.

Oleksandra Shchebilova, a graduate of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine, was seriously injured in the Russian missile strike on Kharkiv during the night of June 15. According to the university’s Institute of Fire and Technogenic Safety, she lost her right arm and is currently hospitalized. Oleksandra had recently joined the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv Region.

As a result of the Russian attack on June 15, ten rabbits were killed and fifteen others were injured or concussed at Kharkiv Zoo. Other animals housed near the impact site survived unharmed, according to Deputy Zoo Director Karina Detiuk. The elephant Aun suffered an acute stress reaction. Regional prosecutors reported that a Geran-2 drone struck the zoo at approximately 6:05 p.m.

Russian forces are deliberately targeting the Osnova and Kharkiv-Holovnyi railway sorting stations in an effort to disrupt both civilian and freight transportation logistics, Petro Tokar stated. According to him, the enemy is specifically targeting railway cars, diesel locomotives, electric locomotives, and specialized railway maintenance equipment.

Since 2022, 47.8% of all settlements in Kharkiv Region have come under attack from various types of Russian weaponry, Petro Tokar reported. Compared to the same period in 2025, the number of Russian attacks on the region has increased by 68% since the beginning of this year. The intensity of shelling has risen significantly, particularly through the use of drones. Attacks on the city of Kharkiv have increased by 32.5% compared to the same period last year.

Over the past week, State Emergency Service units neutralized more than 300 explosive hazards across Kharkiv Region. During the same period, emergency crews extinguished 45 fires related to combat operations.

Authorities in Kharkiv Region are planning to construct a specialized shelter for museum collections. The facility will have the status of a civil protection structure and will comply with all required standards for the preservation of cultural heritage, according to Oleksandr Kostin, Deputy Director of the Regional Department of Culture and Tourism.

 

Donetsk oblast

Situation on the Front

During the night of June 16, operators of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck a Russian Osa surface-to-air missile system in Donetsk Oblast, as well as a shelter containing weapons and military equipment belonging to the 72nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Army’s 3rd Army Corps. In occupied Donetsk, strikes targeted the deployment sites of the “Somali” and “Rubikon” units, as well as the command staff of the 9th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the enemy’s 51st Army. Additionally, Russian military logistics vehicles were hit in both Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts, according to the Unmanned Systems Forces press service.

Ukrainian forces also struck Russian military warehouses in occupied Donetsk and Mariupol during the night of June 16, along with several other military facilities in temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk Oblast, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported. The military confirmed strikes on six enemy locations:

  • Command and observation posts were attacked near Bahatyr, Velyka Novosilka, and Siversk;
    • A field artillery ammunition depot was struck near Kremenivka;
    • A logistics and materiel warehouse was hit in Donetsk;
    • A UAV storage facility was targeted in Mariupol.

Russian forces continue infantry assaults against Ukrainian defensive positions on the Lyman axis. According to Oleksandr Borodin, spokesperson for the Third Army Corps, this sector remains a priority for the occupiers as part of their potential offensive plans toward Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. Over the past day, the General Staff recorded 23 Russian attacks in the Lyman sector across the areas of nine settlements. This remains the second most active section of the frontline after the Pokrovsk axis.

Shelling and Civilian Impact

On June 16, Russian forces attacked the Sloviansk community in Donetsk Oblast twice. One civilian was injured, according to Sloviansk Military Administration head Vadym Liakh. In the settlement of Bylbasivka, a “Gerbera” drone damaged a private house. Another drone struck the asphalt surface of a road on the outskirts of Sloviansk. A 29-year-old man sustained injuries.

Russian forces shelled Kramatorsk during the afternoon of June 16. Four civilians were injured, according to the regional prosecutor’s office. The victims include three women aged 67, 72, and 74, as well as a 51-year-old man. They suffered blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, contusions, and fractures.

No civilian casualties were reported in Donetsk Oblast on June 15, according to Donetsk Regional Military Administration head Vadym Filashkin. However, Russian attacks caused extensive damage across the region. Industrial facilities were damaged in Sloviansk; a vehicle was damaged in Kramatorsk; and a private house was damaged in Vasylivska Pustosh. In Mariivka, part of the Oleksandrivka community, a gas pipeline was damaged, while a warehouse was damaged in Vysokopillia. In Novodonetske, a dormitory, outpatient clinic, and private house sustained damage. A residential building was damaged in Shostakivka, and an administrative building was damaged in Druzhkivka.

Overall, Russian forces shelled populated areas of Donetsk Oblast 25 times on June 15. A total of 503 civilians, including 34 children, were evacuated from frontline communities.

 

Luhansk oblast

During the night of June 15–16, operators of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck a munitions workshop for heavy unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of Luhansk Oblast, belonging to the 14th “diversion-assault” brigade of the Russian Armed Forces. In Donetsk Oblast, they also hit a UAV storage facility used by a unit of the 60th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian 5th Combined Arms Army, according to the press service of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

On June 15, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 23 Russian assaults on the Lyman sector of the front. The enemy advanced attempts were recorded near nine settlements. In Luhansk Oblast, Russian forces attempted to advance near Novoyehorivka. In two instances, they used barrel artillery, and four times they deployed automatic grenade launchers. They also directed six unmanned aerial vehicles toward Ukrainian defensive positions, according to Luhansk Regional Military Administration head Oleksii Kharchenko.

On June 15, an exhibition opened in Kyiv dedicated to the defense of Luhansk Airport and the tragedy of the downing of a transport aircraft in 2014, which resulted in the deaths of 49 Ukrainian servicemen during landing. This was announced by Luhansk Regional State Administration head Oleksii Kharchenko.

 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to a report issued on 16 June by the Kyiv City State Administration’s Department of Health, following the russian attack on Kyiv on 15 June, nine people are currently receiving inpatient treatment in the capital’s hospitals for injuries of moderate severity. One child and one pregnant woman are among the hospitalised patients. A total of 38 people were injured as a result of the russian attack on Kyiv. Five people were killed in the shelling.

According to the Kyiv Metro municipal enterprise, during the heavy russian shelling of Kyiv on the night of 15 June, nearly 42,000 people took shelter in the capital’s metro stations. Of these, 3,400 were children.

Emergency repair work is continuing at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra following the russian attack. Rescue workers are repairing the roof of the Cathedral of the Dormition. According to the Kyiv State Emergency Service, the rescue teams have been working for over a day, and the emergency repair work continued throughout the night.

Maksym Ostapenko, Director-General of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve, has stated that it will take approximately two years to fully restore the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which sustained damage during the russian federation’s massive attack on 15 June. Preliminary estimates put the total damage at over 500 million hryvnias. According to him, the Holy Dormition Cathedral was the worst affected by the shelling, with the fire damaging over 80 per cent of the roof. However, firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading inside the cathedral. In addition to the cathedral, a further 18 sites within the reserve were damaged.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has reported that it has displayed the wreckage of a russian drone used by russian forces to attack the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Analysis of the fragments found has established that the strike on the monastic complex was carried out by a ‘Geran-2’ drone. An examination of the drone’s wreckage revealed that some of its components were manufactured in russia, in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone. The drone struck the St Stephen’s Chapel of the Cathedral of the Dormition at around 01:50 during a massive attack on Kyiv. Fragments of the drone’s fuselage and engine were found at the scene.

According to ‘Detector Media’, the National Commission for UNESCO has called on the international community to step up pressure on russia following the shelling of the Lavra. A statement to this effect was published on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website. It states that the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a cultural monument under enhanced protection in accordance with the 1954 Hague Convention and its 1999 Second Protocol. The committee believes that the russian federation must be held accountable for crimes against culture and should not have a say in the organisation.

Andriy Donchik, the film studio’s director general, reported that following the russian attack on the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio, the archive of around 600 films—some of which still exist only on film—had been saved. A film storage facility is located next to the building that was hit. The blast wave damaged the windows and doors there, but the collection itself was unharmed. A fire broke out on 15 June following the strike at around 02:08. Due to the large quantity of textiles present, firefighting operations continued until morning.

Attorney General Kravchenko reported that fragments of two ballistic missiles were recovered following the russian federation’s strike on the Dovzhenko Film Studio.

DTEK reported that, as of 19:00 on 15 June, following the russian strike, power engineers had restored electricity to all 140,000 households in Kyiv.

France plans to assist with the restoration of the sarcophagus covering the fourth reactor at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Station, which was damaged by russian strikes. Swiss specialists will also assist with the restoration of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra following the russian attack on 15 June. The announcement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the G7 summit in the French town of Évian-les-Bains.

Over the summer, Ukraine will receive equipment from a Latvian thermal power station, to be used for the restoration of energy facilities in Kharkiv and Kyiv, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said following an online meeting with Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Katerina Reiche. According to him, during the meeting, an agreement was also reached on the creation of strategic reserves of energy equipment.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to the city council, Zhytomyr is hosting an official delegation from its German twin town, Dortmund. The regional centre recently received almost 14 tonnes of humanitarian aid from Dortmund. The shipment included solar panels, space heaters, equipment for people with musculoskeletal disorders, animal feed and other essential items. Thanks to the support of partners, generators and mobile kitchens have been installed in two secondary schools in Zhytomyr, providing hot meals for students even during air raid alerts and whilst in shelters.

According to the regional National Police, police officers from Zhytomyr won ‘gold’ at the all-Ukrainian veterans’ swimming competition ‘The Impossible is Possible’, which took place in Kyiv. The police team achieved a brilliant result, taking first place in the team standings.

Sumy oblast

According to the Territorial Defence Zone Headquarters, over the past week Defence Forces units destroyed or suppressed with electronic warfare systems 1,364 enemy UAVs in Sumy oblast. A total of 1,575 enemy drones were detected in the skies over the oblast during the reporting period. Air defence units destroyed or suppressed 87% of all detected UAVs.

The State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast reported that on 16 June, the enemy struck Bilopollia. As a result of the impact, a passenger vehicle caught fire.

Nadiia Vailo, Head of Hlukhiv community, said that during the night of 16 June, the russian army attacked Hlukhiv by drones. The attack shattered windows in the City Council building and an educational institution. One of the drones struck a tree, while another hit one of the buildings of the educational institution.

The Prosecutor’s Office informed that at around 7:40pm. on 15 June, a russian drone struck the roof of a shop in Shostka. A 34-year-old mother and her three-year-old daughter were injured in the attack. A shop and an apartment building were damaged. A local park also came under russian attack.

Sumy Oblast Prosecutor’s Office reported that a 57-year-old man was killed in Bilopollia community as a result of russian attacks on 15 June. His body was discovered by local residents. The enemy attacked the community by FPV drones. Other strikes damaged a municipal enterprise and vehicles.

From the morning of 15 June to the morning of 16 June, russian forces carried out more than 30 attacks on 22 settlements across 12 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 19 hours and 19 minutes during the reporting period.

The Regional Military Administration informed that, as of the morning of 16 June, two civilians had been killed and eight people injured in enemy attacks across Sumy oblast over the previous 24 hours. Destruction and damage to private homes, vehicles and civilian infrastructure facilities were also recorded:

▪️ In Bilopollia community, a 57-year-old man was killed in enemy drone attacks. A vehicle and a non-residential premises were damaged. A 51-year-old man also sought medical assistance for injuries sustained when an enemy drone struck a household on 13 June;

▪️ In Vorozhba community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged. A 51-year-old man who had been injured in an enemy drone strike on 14 June died in hospital;

▪️ In Hlukhiv community, a 63-year-old woman was injured after an enemy UAV struck a house. Premises of an educational institution, an administrative building, a non-residential premises, a private residential house, a civilian infrastructure facility and a passenger vehicle were damaged;

▪️ In Shostka community, a 34-year-old woman and a three-year-old girl were injured in an enemy drone attack. A shop, a house of culture, an apartment building and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;

▪️ In Seredyna-Buda community, five people were injured in enemy drone strikes: two boys aged one year and seven months and four years, men aged 29 and 54, and a 23-year-old woman. Private residential houses were destroyed and damaged. A 26-year-old man also sought medical assistance for injuries sustained in a UAV strike during the night of 14 June;

▪️ In Sumy community, a 13-year-old girl suffered an acute stress reaction following a UAV attack during the night of 15 June;

▪️ In Znob-Novhorodske community, private residential houses were destroyed and damaged;

▪️ In Esman community, a non-residential building and residential houses were destroyed.

During the reporting period, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, National Police and non-governmental organisations, evacuated 32 people from border communities.

Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said on the evening of 15 June that since the beginning of summer, russians have been actively using various types of weapons against Sumy oblast. A total of 331 fibre-optic FPV drone attacks, 321 strike drone attacks and 311 guided aerial bomb strikes have already been recorded. In addition, the enemy carried out more than 100 artillery and mortar attacks.

More than 2,000 shelters have now been equipped across Sumy oblast. Over recent years, their number has increased by nearly 600, while their total capacity has grown by more than 113,000 people. A network of mobile shelters is also being developed across the oblast. In Sumy community alone, 44 additional mobile shelters have been installed.

 

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service reported that on 15 June, border guards destroyed eight drones in the skies over Chernihiv oblast — five Shahed UAVs and three Herbera-type UAVs.

JSC Chernihivoblenergo informed that a russian attack on an energy facility in Chernihiv region left more than 21,000 subscribers without electricity in Chernihiv and Koriukivka regions. Energy workers are currently working to restore power supply.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that during the second half of 15 June, russian forces attacked Semenivka by FPV drones. The strikes damaged a civilian vehicle and an infrastructure facility. At approximately 10:23pm., russian forces carried out a strike on Novhorod-Siverskyi using a Herbera-type drone.

According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, on 15 June, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar attacks (5 explosions), artillery strikes (12 explosions), FPV drone attacks (23 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (2 explosions). A total of nine settlements came under enemy fire.

 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

8 enemy UAVs were shot down over the oblast.

 

Nikopol region. A 39-year-old man was injured in Chervonohryhorivka community. The enemy attacked the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Pokrovske rural and urban communities by artillery and drones. Infrastructure was damaged.

Synelnykove region. A fire broke out in Shakhtarske as a result of a UAV attack. An apartment building and 4 vehicles were damaged.

 

The russians killed 3 people in Nikopol by an FPV drone. One of the victims was a wheelchair user.

 

Nikopol region. 

Another truck driver was injured on a highway in Chervonohryhorivka community area. The 26-year-old man sought medical assistance.

 

A 77-year-old woman was injured in Nikopol.

 

The enemy attacked the region by drones and artillery. Marhanets, Pokrovske rural and Myrove communities were targeted.

 

4 private houses, an outbuilding, enterprises, garages, a shop, an administrative building, vehicles, a cathedral and infrastructure were damaged.

 

Kamianske region. The occupiers attacked Kamianske and Krynychky community by UAVs. A 36-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man were injured. Fires broke out. A gas station, vehicles and infrastructure were damaged.

Kryvyi Rih region. Zelendolsk community was struck by an FPV drone. There were no injuries reported.

Synelnykove region. A private house caught fire in Dubovykivka community due to a UAV attack.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, stated that during a nighttime drone attack in Oleksandriia region, a livestock complex building was damaged. More than 20 cows were killed.

 

In Kropyvnytskyi, residents paid tribute to servicemen Andrii Torchylo, Klym Matiushenko, Vitalii Kotliarov and Ruslan Bilorusov.

Klym Matiushenko was killed on 18 November 2024 while carrying out a combat mission near Chumatske village in Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast. His death was confirmed through DNA testing. He was 42 years old.

Vitalii Kotliarov was killed on 16 July 2025 near Oleksiivka village in Donetsk oblast. He was 53 years old.

Ruslan Bilorusov was killed on 20 February 2024 while carrying out a combat mission in Bakhmut region, Donetsk oblast. His death was confirmed through DNA testing. He was 50 years old.

Andrii Torchylo was killed on 1 April 2026 while carrying out a combat mission near Kramatorsk city in Donetsk oblast. He was only 44 years old.

 

Also, 3 fallen defenders were laid to rest in Kirovohrad oblast: Arsen Volovyk from Velyka Andrusivka community, Serhii Dmytruk from Dobrovelychkivka community and Ihor Liashok from Mala Vyska community.

Arsen Volovyk was killed on 2 June 2026 while carrying out a combat mission in Kramatorsk region, Donetsk oblast.

Serhii Dmytruk was killed on 31 May 2026 in Kharkiv oblast.

Ihor Liashok had been considered missing in action since 10 October 2024 near Novoivanivka settlement in sudzha district, kursk oblast. His death was confirmed through DNA testing. 

Poltava oblast

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, a russian FPV drone attacked a shuttle bus in Balabyne. The drone, which dived toward route bus No.384, struck the road. There were no casualties reported.

 

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, reported that 2 people were injured as a result of russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia oblast. In Rozumivka, an FPV drone struck a parked Ukrposhta vehicle. The vehicle was damaged and shrapnel hit a gas pipeline on a nearby building. A 56-year-old man was injured. In Kushuhum, a drone attacked civilian vehicles near a cemetery, injuring a 55-year-old man.

 

3 people were injured following a russian attack on a critical infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia.

 

2 people sustained injuries after a russian drone struck a vehicle near a shopping centre in Zaporizhzhia.

 

Referring to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 15 June, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 27 russian attacks in Huliaipole and Orikhiv regions. Combat engagements occurred near Stepne, Stepnohirsk and Pavlivka, as well as toward Zlahoda, Dobropillia, Radisne, Rivnopillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipilske, Dolynka, Verkhnia Tersa, Ternuvate, Shyroke and Charivne.

 

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, stated that 11 people were injured as a result of russian attacks on the regional centre and Zaporizhzhia oblast. On 15 June, russian forces carried out more than 790 strikes on 47 settlements across Zaporizhzhia oblast. Most attacks involved drones, primarily FPV drones.

Mykolaiv oblast

Ivan Kukhta, Head of Snihurivka CMA, said that during the day, a russian UAV, likely a Molniia drone, was detected over the city.

According to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on 15 June, russian forces launched 2 FPV drone attacks on Ochakiv community and also struck Kutsurub community by a MLRS. There were no casualties reported.

Odesa oblast

Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa RMA, informed that a russian drone struck the territory of a private household in Odesa oblast. A single-story residential building was damaged and a fire broke out. An elderly couple was affected: a 70-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man. The woman was hospitalised in moderate condition.

Based on the information provided by the Ukrainian Air Force, jet-powered UAVs launched from the Black Sea were detected heading toward Chornomorsk.

Kherson oblast

According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, at approximately 7:30pm, russian forces attacked Chornobaivka by a drone. A 41-year-old woman who was inside her home was injured. She sustained a chest contusion, concussion, blast injury and traumatic brain injury.

 

At around 3:20pm, russian forces attacked a woman by a drone in Dniprovskyi district ofKherson. A 72-year-old resident was hospitalised with blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to her head and torso.

 

At approximately 3pm, russian troops struck Nova Kamianka in Mylove community by a drone. A 67-year-old man suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his leg.

 

At around 2pm, russian forces attacked Virivka village in Tiahynka community by a drone. A 49-year-old man sustained fatal injuries.

 

At approximately 11:30am, russian forces shelled Bilozirka. A 61-year-old man walking along the street was injured. He sustained a blast injury, concussion and traumatic brain injury.

 

At around 8:40am, 2 municipal workers were injured in a russian drone attack in Korabelnyi district of Kherson. The men, aged 39 and 55, suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to their torsos and limbs. A 29-year-old man was injured, sustaining a blast injury and concussion.

 

At approximately 8am, russian forces attacked a shuttle bus in Korabelnyi district of Kherson by a drone. One man was killed at the scene. A 75-year-old woman and 2 men aged 66 and 64 were diagnosed with concussions, blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to their torsos and limbs.

 

At around 1:35am, russian forces attacked an ambulance by a drone in Korabelnyi district of Kherson. 2 medical workers, aged 51 and 62, were injured. Both sustained blast injuries, traumatic brain injuries and concussions. The 51-year-old victim was hospitalised, while the other will receive outpatient treatment. Also, a 45-year-old resident was injured in the attack, suffering blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his neck and legs.

 

A Shyroka Balka resident whose house was attacked by a russian drone the previous day also sought medical assistance. The woman, born in 1972, was diagnosed with a blast injury and a leg wound.

Volyn oblast

Zakarpattia oblast

The 2nd group of participants in the Carpathian Change project left Zaporizhzhia for Uzhhorod. Another 100 children from the families of military personnel, employees of the National Police and the State Emergency Service went to the oblast. For 14 days, the children will enjoy sports and team activities, excursions, psychological recovery, new acquaintances and meetings with famous representatives of Ukrainian football.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council held a meeting with Pavel Vizdal, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic. They discussed support, exchange of experience and cooperation.

Lviv oblast

Lviv oblast welcomed 200 children from Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts – participants of the 2nd visit of the children’s camp Carpathian Change. These are children of military personnel, police officers, rescuers, as well as the fallen Defenders of Ukraine and representatives of the security sector.

Rivne oblast

Rivne oblast received the 9th evacuation train this year. Another 30 people from Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka and Dobropillya arrived from Donetsk oblast.

Ternopil oblast

A forum dedicated to the presentation of the Annual Report of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights for 2025 was held in Ternopil. The event brought together representatives of government bodies, the public, human rights defenders, and partner organizations to discuss key challenges in the field of human rights protection and find practical solutions.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The defense forces received another 12 quadcopters worth almost UAH 1.8m from Khmelnytskyi community.

Chernivtsi oblast

200 children from Dnipropetrovsk oblast are visiting Bukovina. They will be given new experiences by Carpathian Change – a project initiated by President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Ukrainian Football Association.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The G7 summit was held in the French city of Evian-les-Bains with the participation of Ukraine. The key event of which was negotiations on ending the war and strengthening sanctions against russia.

Canada has imposed new sanctions against russia. The sanctions list includes 162 individuals and legal entities, as well as shadow fleet vessels that russia uses to circumvent international restrictions.
