It has been the 1147 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The Defense Forces of Ukraine are holding back the advance of Russian occupiers and taking necessary measures to prevent the enemy from penetrating deeper into Ukrainian territory.
At this time, 58 combat clashes have occurred.

Today, communities in the settlements of Bila Bereza, Turya, Petrushivka, and Prokhody in the Sumy region came under fire from enemy artillery and mortars. Russian terrorists also carried out airstrikes using guided bombs on the areas of Naumivka, Osoivka, Petrushivka, and Mala Rybitsa in the Sumy region.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders twice near the settlements of Zahryzove and Nova Kruhliakivka. One battle is still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the invading army launched 10 attacks during the day on Ukrainian positions near Novomykhailivka, Nadiia, and toward Zelena Dolyna and Hryhorivka. Four of these clashes are still ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, occupying forces are probing for weak spots in our defense near Verkhnokamianske and Bilohorivka. Three enemy attacks have been successfully repelled.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers made one unsuccessful attempt to advance toward Ukrainian positions near Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, 12 combat clashes have ended, with two more enemy assault actions still ongoing. The enemy is attempting to advance in the areas of Dachne, Diliivka, and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders launched 17 attempts to dislodge our defenders from their positions near the settlements of Sukha Balka, Zelene Pole, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Troitske, Bohdanivka, and Andriivka. The Defense Forces are holding back the pressure and have repelled 13 enemy attacks, with four clashes still in progress.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attempted to breach the defenses of our defenders four times near the settlements of Kostiantynopil, Pryvilne, Vilne Pole, and toward Odradne. One combat clash is still ongoing. Novopil was struck by an airstrike.

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy launched airstrikes with unguided rockets on Huliaipole and Malynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders repelled one enemy assault near Kamianske. The enemy carried out an airstrike on Novodanylivka.

In the Dnipro River direction, the invaders made one attempt to advance toward Ukrainian positions but were repelled.

In the Kursk direction, four battles have occurred since the start of the day. Additionally, the enemy carried out 18 airstrikes, dropping 37 guided bombs, and launched 162 artillery attacks.

In the remaining directions, there were no significant changes.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 234 defense industry workers have been killed, 120 of them on the frontlines. Another 41 employees of the defense-industrial complex are currently considered missing.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have approved the use of FPV drones “Rarog-10.” These unmanned aerial vehicles are capable of carrying explosive charges powerful enough to destroy field fortifications, shelters, enemy equipment, and weapons — including armored targets.

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline

Towards Kupiansk, there was one enemy attack yesterday. Defence forces repelled russian assault near Nova Kruhliakivka.

Attacks

The State Emergency Service reported that in the morning, russia launched an airstrike on Slatyne, outbuildings, garages and a car were burning. Two-storey and private residential buildings were damaged in the village.

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv community, stated that at around 6:45am, russian aircraft launched four strikes on the outskirts of Baranivka. No damage or casualties were reported. 

Yesterday the occupiers used six multiple rocket launchers and five UAVs of various types against unarmed residents of Kharkiv oblast. The shelling damaged more than 25 private houses.

At 10:25pm, russians attacked Borova village in Izium region. An aerial bomb hit the yard and set fire to household items in a private house over an area of 3m². Six other houses in the area were also damaged.

At 5:35pm, a 56-year-old man tripped an explosive device in the village of Milove, Vilkhuvata community, Kupiansk region. He was killed.

At 4:04pm, russians shelled Zolochiv village, Bohodukhiv region, from a drone. The attack damaged a building.

At 2:14pm, while driving a car in Petrivka village, Shevchenkove community, Kupiansk region, a woman was injured as a result of an MLRS attack. She was diagnosed with an acute stress reaction.

At 2:02pm, russians shelled the village of Hetmanivka in the same community with MLRS. A car was damaged as a result of the hit.

At 12:46pm, a fence and a house were damaged in the village of Shevchenkove, Kupiansk region, during an MLRS attack. A 77-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man died.

At 11:41am, grass and reeds caught fire over an area of 1 hectare due to shelling in Osynove, Kupiansk community.

At 10:40am, a russian drone hit a private house in Tymofiivka village of Zolochivs community, Bohodukhiv region. The building was damaged.

At 9:20am, a woman was injured in the shelling of Kupiansk by an MLRS. Two more people, a man and a woman, were killed near the place of impact.

At 7:12am, the russians shelled Slatyne in Derhachi community of Kharkiv region. As a result of the attack, 22 private houses were damaged. A 63-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman were injured.

At 6:59am, an unidentified aerial vehicle hit the outskirts of Pysarivka village in Zolochiv community, Bohodukhiv region.

At 6:45am, russians attacked Baranivka village of the same community. No damage was recorded as a result of four attacks on the outskirts of the village.

At 6:40am, an unexploded ordnance hit Slatyne village of Derhachi community in Kharkiv region. As a result, two garages over an area of 40m² caught on fire, a two-storey residential building and five other private buildings were damaged.

At least four people – two women and two men – were killed by russian aggression in the second week of April. 20 people were injured by strikes, 11 suffered acute shock. Two men were injured by explosives.


Other

Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on 13 April on the air of the national marathon “United News” that two more underground schools will be opened in Kharkiv. The opening is scheduled for after Easter. Each school will be designed for a thousand children.

Two pregnant mares were evacuated from under fire in the north of Kharkiv oblast as volunteers together with police took them to the southern part. In Staryi Saltiv community, 16km from the contact line, 28 thoroughbred horses live in a former equestrian sports complex that was hit by russians 35 times and abandoned by its owner the day before the settlement was liberated. The animals survived the occupation, some of them were injured and killed.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline
The General Staff reported that almost 30 russian attacks were repelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces towards Pokrovsk yesterday. The russian army conducted 20 attacks towards Lyman.

In particular, towards Pokrovsk, russian troops attacked 28 times in the areas of Sukha Balka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Bohdanivka and Andriivka.

Towards Lyman, the russian army tried to advance near Nadiia, Nove, Katerynivka, Hrekivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka.

Attacks

Vadym Liakh, Head of the CMA, reported that in the morning, russian troops attacked Sloviansk with shaheds. One person was wounded, the consequences of the attack are being investigated.

Yesterday police recorded 3,712 hostile attacks on the frontline and in the residential sector. The enemy shelled 8 settlements: Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Pokrovsk, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Krasnyi Lyman, Oleksandr-Kalynove and Stepanivka. Twenty-five civilian objects were destroyed, including 13 residential buildings.

In Pokrovsk, russians killed a civilian and injured another person. A religious object was damaged.

 

A member of Myrnohrad community was wounded as a result of shelling of Krasnyi Lyman.

 

The occupiers shelled Lyman with artillery and Uragan MLRS, wounding a civilian and damaging a gas pipeline.

 

In Stepanivka, Illinivka community, a russian FPV drone attacked a civilian car, injuring one person.

 

Russia attacked Kostiantynivka with two KAB-500 and KAB-250 bombs and artillery. A private house, an educational institution, an administrative building, non-residential premises and critical infrastructure were damaged. At about 1:20am, the enemy also fired artillery at the town, damaging at least three households.

 

As a result of the KAB-250 bombs hitting Oleksandro-Kalynove, 4 private houses were destroyed, and 7 private houses and a garage were damaged in Ivanopillia.

 

In addition, there is information about the deaths of two residents of Pereizne village of Zvanivka community, who were killed by russian troops during shelling on 13 April.

Other

Andriushchenko, Head of the Centre for Occupation Studies, reported that in occupied Mariupol, russian invaders are building a new logistics hub. A new pipeline is being laid there, the railway is being restored and truck parking areas are being prepared.

In the occupied territories of Donetsk oblast, pensioners are receiving calls from alleged representatives of social services. Activists of the Yellow Ribbon Movement said that under the guise of updating pension payments, they ask for information about relatives in Ukraine. Such “surveys” may be part of data collection for further repression.

Luhansk oblast

Russian troops continue assault operations in Luhansk oblast. The enemy tried to break through the defences near three settlements: Nadiia, Hrekivka and Bilohorivka. Ukrainian defenders are holding back the enemy’s advance in these areas. During the day, the occupants made 18 attacks using cannon artillery. In the airspace in the area of responsibility, 204 enemy drones were spotted performing reconnaissance and strike missions.

In the temporarily occupied areas of Luhansk oblast, there has been an increase in the number of complaints about the poor quality of public utilities. Residents report regular accidents on water, heating and sewerage networks, as well as the unwillingness of utility companies to ensure proper maintenance of adjacent territories and to remove solid waste. Instead of solving these problems, the occupation administration focused on mobilisation activities. Employees of public utilities are required to undergo so-called military training. In case of refusal, they are warned of possible dismissal and inspections by law enforcement agencies.

In Siverskodonetsk, due to the lack of Internet and established mechanisms of communication with the local occupation authorities, residents do not always receive timely information about changes in the status of their housing. In particular, after a long absence due to evacuation, people find strangers in their homes – displaced persons from the russian federation, who claim to have legal grounds to live in someone else’s property.

 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

On Monday, US Democratic Senator Tim Kaine, a member of the Armed Services Committee, arrived in Kyiv. At a briefing in the capital, he said that during his visit, the issue of continuing US military and humanitarian support for Ukraine was discussed. Tim Kaine plans to talk to government officials, NGOs, veterans and lawmakers in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources announced that a solar power plant built with the support of the Spanish government was opened in Chornobyl. The ‘green’ generation project worth more than UAH 30 million was launched in 2019, but it was suspended with the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia. The solar plant is now fully ready for commissioning and is connected to the integrated power system of Ukraine.

Recently, the Borodyanka tactical medicine training for women was held at the UWG HAB. The participants have not only attended a theoretical course, but also been practicing how to stop massive bleeding by using a tourniquet, tamponade wounds and apply a blood tourniquet.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the NGO Kyiv School of Public Administration named after Serhiy Nyzhnyi to create conditions for the decent reintegration of military personnel into civilian life through educational, psychological, legal and social support tools.

The RMA announced that one of the relocated enterprises specialising in the manufacture of rubber products and metalworking has resumed production in Kyiv oblast. The company from the city of Pokrov, Dnipro oblast, is actively developing, investing and supporting the Ukrainian economy despite the challenges of war.

A peaceful march was held in Kyiv in support of prisoners of war and missing defenders of the Mariupol garrison. After a minute of silence on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, relatives of the prisoners marched to the Verkhovna Rada, where they hold rallies in support of the prisoners every morning.

The official start of the International ‘Marathon of Heroes’ under the slogan ‘Every step we take is a step towards victory!’ took place on 13 April on the Irpin embankment. The event brought together more than 50,000 Ukrainians around the world to honour the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.

Zhytomyr oblast

On 14 April, the Novohuyvynske village council decided to allocate UAH 2 million to compensate for the damage caused by a russian drone attack on the village. To date, the village council has received 75 applications for damaged homes. The commission has inspected 102 apartments.

According to the the city council, the family of Andriy Liniychuk (‘Kelt’) was awarded the ‘Honorary Citizen of Zhytomyr’ award. Andriy Liniychuk, a sergeant with the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was one of the most effective anti-aircraft gunners in the Ukrainian army. According to the report, during his service, he destroyed 16 russian drones, a Ka-52 helicopter and repeatedly saved the lives of his comrades,.

Vitaliy Bunechko, head of the RMA, announced that wind turbines with a total capacity of 250 megawatts will be installed in Zhytomyr oblast, significantly increasing the share of renewable energy in the region. Last year, about 20 gas turbine stations were added to the region’s power generating capacity thanks to cooperation with USAID and business..

Sumy oblast

According to updated data, the russian attack on Sumy on 13 April resulted in 35 fatalities, including two minors: an 11-year-old boy and a 17-year-old young man.

Sumy City Council as of the morning of 15 April reported that the number of people who sought medical assistance following the russian attack on 13 April has risen to 125, including 107 adults and 18 children. Forty-four individuals remain in hospitals, among them 10 children. Seven are in critical condition.

Rescue operations and the dismantling of hazardous structures are ongoing in Sumy.

On 15 April, around 1pm, russian forces attacked a man riding a bicycle in Krasnopillia community using a drone. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the 38-year-old civilian man sustained injuries and was hospitalized.

The Regional Military Administration informed that Krasnopilska community was targeted by enemy artillery, FPV-drones, guided aerial bombs (GAB), and explosive devices dropped from UAVs. As a result of the shelling, a private household was damaged.

In the territory of Yunakivka community, artillery shelling, MLRS strikes, and guided aerial bomb (GAB) launches were recorded. As a result of the strikes, a private household was damaged.

During the night and morning, russian forces carried out 64 shellings on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, with a total of 164 explosions recorded. The affected communities include Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Slobidka, Esman, and Seredyna-Buda.

During the night of 15 April, Ukrainian air defenders shot down five enemy Shahed drones over Sumy oblast.

Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that around 5pm on 14 April, russian forces shelled civilian infrastructure in Myropillia community of Sumy region using mortars. A 76-year-old pensioner, who was in her own home, was injured as a result of the attack and was hospitalized.

During the day on 14 April, a russian strike drone hit a parking lot in Sumy. Cars with gas cylinders began exploding. According to Acting Mayor of Sumy Artem Kobzar, 11 cars burned, 8 were damaged, and one person was injured.

Throughout 14 April, russian forces carried out 124 shellings in Sumy oblast, with a total of 290 strikes recorded. The enemy used mortars (55 explosions), MLRS (40 explosions), artillery (107 explosions), a missile strike (1 explosion), UAV attacks (5 explosions), FPV-drones (29 explosions), launched guided aerial bombs (40 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (14 explosions). Fifteen communities came under enemy fire: Sumy, Verkhnia Syrovatka, Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Buryn, Putyvl, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorodske.

According to the Regional Military Administration, as a result of enemy shelling on 14 April: private households were damaged in Seredyna-Buda and Khotin communities; in Myropillia community, a local resident was injured, and a private household was also damaged; in Sumy community, a UAV attack caused damage to cars, three two-story buildings, and injured a local resident.

During the strike on Sumy, one of the russian-made UAVs hit an abandoned greenhouse and got stuck on its metal structures. The combat part of the drone, improvised with an anti-tank mine, did not detonate upon impact, posing a threat to the surroundings. According to the Regional Police, a mobile team from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service neutralized the enemy drone with the mine.

State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast reported that rescuers, together with the police, evacuated residents from Shalyhyne community in Shostka region. Among those evacuated were people of various ages, as well as pets that their owners took with them.

Chernihiv oblast

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional State Administration reported that during the day on 15 April, кussian forces attacked a commercial enterprise and a passenger train at the railway station in Semenivka using a ‘Molniya’ UAV. In both cases, there were no injuries.

Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that throughout 14 April, russian forces attacked two border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka. The enemy carried out strikes by unguided aerial rockets (6 explosions), FPV-drones (11 explosions), and aircraft-type FPV drones (6 explosions), as well as dropping explosive devices from UAVs (6 explosions). Eleven settlements came under enemy fire.

As a result of strikes on Semenivka by aircraft-type FPV-drones, a train at the railway station was hit, and the building of a commercial enterprise was also damaged.

In Khotiivka village, the enemy carried out three strikes using aircraft-type FPV-drones. According to Operational Command ‘North,’ a private house was damaged as a result of the shelling.

Centre for Countering Disinformation reported that russian propagandists are spreading false claims about the alleged ‘destruction of a military echelon’ in Sumy. In reality, on 14 April, russian forces attacked a passenger train in Semenivka, Chernihiv oblast, using strike drones, and images from the site were falsely presented as a ‘military echelon’ in Sumy.

Instructors from the special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate ‘Artan’ conducted the eighth military-patriotic training camp — ‘Zvytiaha 8.0. Forpost-North’ — in Chernihiv oblast. Participants included children and young people aged 10 to 21. A total of 100 participants from various regions of Ukraine gathered for the event. Fighters from the 164th Territorial Defense Battalion helped organize the training.

Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Regional Military Administration, announced that a modernized food block has started operating in the oblast children’s hospital, and the renovated kindergarten No. 19 in Chernihiv is now ready to welcome children. Both institutions suffered significant damage from russian attacks in the spring of 2022. These large-scale projects were brought to life thanks to the support of Latvian partners. The total cost of the work exceeds UAH 54m.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

On 15 April, russian forces attacked Nikopol region nearly 15 times. They used artillery and kamikaze drones to strike Nikopol, Myrove and Pokrov communities.

In the evening, an FPV drone was directed at Slovianka community in Synelnykove region.

According to the Regional Military Administration, in the morning, Ukrainian air defenders shot down 2 enemy UAVs over the oblast.

The previous evening and morning, the aggressor targeted Nikopol region again, hitting Myrove and Marhanets communities by kamikaze drones.

A 78-year-old woman was injured and received medical assistance on site. A private house and an outbuilding were damaged.

In the evening, the enemy attacked Velykomykhailivka community in Synelnykove region by a KAB, damaging 6 private homes. There were no casualties or injuries reported.

A memorial plaque was unveiled in Dnipro in honour of Oleksandr Polovytsia, who was killed during a combat mission in Sloviansk in April 2024. He had fought on multiple fronts, underwent specialised training twice (including in the UK) and acquired additional qualifications as a mortar operator and armored vehicle gunner.

Vinnytsia oblast

Soldiers of the 59th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade received another batch of aid from Vinnytsia City Council, the community and the Interregional Humanitarian Aid Coordination Headquarters. They were provided with 150 upgraded FPV drones. According to the military, these drones are equipped with dual day-night cameras, more powerful batteries and increased payload capacity.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, the inclusive national sports competition The Victory of the Unconquered was held, organised by the Ukrainian Strongman Federation. Among the winners were Vinnytsia natives Armen Harybian, Yaroslav Finohenov, Yaroslav Begas and Ivan Lavreniuk.

Schoolchildren from the volunteer centre VinPatriot prepared over 600 Easter packages for Ukrainian defenders, which included Easter bread, cookies, oranges, amulets and children’s drawings. All schools and a kindergarten in the community participated in the initiative. The children organised charity fairs, compiled lists and purchased the treats themselves.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, reported that in the morning, russian forces attacked the oblast by drones. Air defence was active in Kropyvnytskyi region. Preliminary, there are no injuries reported.

Yuliia Mariukhno, Spokesperson of the City Council, said that in Oleksandriia, residents honoured the memory of soldiers who was killed in a missile strike on the local airfield on 15 April 2022. The airfield was hit by russian Kalibr missiles. Families, comrades-in-arms and local officials gathered at the military cemetery’s Alley of Remembrance, where 3 of the 6 fallen soldiers are buried.

On 15 April, a memorial ceremony was held in Kropyvnytskyi for fallen soldiers Oleksandr Tiupa and Kostiantyn Shelest. The funeral cortege passed through Heroes of Maidan Square before the national moment of silence. At the cemetery, people knelt in respect.

Poltava oblast

Between 2022 and 2024, about 90% of personnel at Territorial Crntre of Recruitment and Social Support (TCR and SS) in Poltava oblast were transferred to combat units. This applies to men with no medical restrictions.

On 15 April, a memorial service was held at the Holy Assumption Cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in honour of soldier Oleksii Hrudnytskyi, who was killed on 7 April 2025, defending Ukraine from russian forces in Donetsk oblast.

A memorial sign will be installed in Kremenchuk in honour of Hero of Ukraine Maksym Kahal. He was a defender of Mariupol and commander of a fire support platoon in the Azov Regiment.

Cherkasy oblast

Mayor Anatolii Bondarenko announced that a new lyceum with enhanced military and physical training named after the Defenders of Ukraine will be opened in Cherkasy. The lyceum will accommodate 150 scholars. The lyceum is scheduled to open on 1 September 2025.

In Cherkasy oblast, American doctors are providing prosthetics free of charge to both civilians and military personnel. 6 prosthetists from the U.S.-based non-profit organisation LimbFit arrived at the Maximum Camp in Zolotonosha to manufacture prosthetics for 16 Ukrainians – including both soldiers and civilians. This marks the 2nd visit since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 3 russian attacks near Stepove, Lobkove and Mali Shcherbaky in Orikhiv region. The russian forces did not conduct active operations in Huliaipole region.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that on 14 April, the russian military launched 517 strikes on 14 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Notably, 376 drones targeted Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterynivka, Novoiakovlivka, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne and Novodarivka.

Dmytro Orlov, Mayor of Enerhodar, said that a russian occupation court sentenced Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant employee Liliia Kachkariova to 14 years in prison. The russians accused the 58-year-old woman of alleged treason and transferring funds to support Ukrainian armed formations.

Mykolaiv oblast

Referring to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, in the morning, russian forces attacked a civilian vehicle by a drone in Beryslav, Kherson oblast. 2 people were injured – a 59-year-old man is in moderate condition, while a woman sustained serious injuries.

The russian military dropped an explosive device from a drone on a resident of Mykilske, Kherson oblast. A 50-year-old man suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds and was hospitalised.

On the afternoon of 14 April, russian forces launched a strike drone of unknown type toward Voznesensk. Ukrainian air defence forces intercepted and destroyed it.

That same day, the russian military attacked Kutsurub community 8 times by FPV drones and artillery and attacked the waters of Ochakiv community 2 times by drones. There were no casualties reported.

Odesa oblast

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, as of 9:30pm, groups of Shahed drones were heading toward Odesa oblast from the Black Sea, with their course aimed at Chornomorsk/Odesa.

As reported by the RMA, as of 6am on 15 April, no russian combat ships were detected in the Black Sea or the Sea of Azov. In the Mediterranean Sea, there are 3 enemy ships, all of which are equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total volley capacity of up to 26 missiles. During the day, 2 ships passed through the Kerch Strait toward the Black Sea in the interest of the russian federation – one of them continued toward the Bosphorus Strait. 9 ships entered the Sea of Azov from the Bosphorus, 4 of which continued moving from the strait.

Kherson oblast

Roman Mrochko, Head of the City Military Administration, reported that 2 people were injured in a russian drone attack in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson and were hospitalised.

According to the RMA, russian forces dropped an explosive device near a bus stop in Kherson. A 53-year-old man sustained blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to the abdomen.

Roman Mrochko, Head of the CMA, said that russian troops attacked the suburb of Antonivka near Kherson by a drone. A 74-year-old man suffered a mine-blast injury and shrapnel wounds.

As reported by the RMA, a 39-year-old resident of Beryslav was injured in a russian drone strike. He was hospitalised with blast trauma, an open arm fracture and bruises.

In the afternoon, a russian drone targeted a female cyclist in Kherson. The 62-year-old woman sustained multiple shrapnel injuries to her arms, legs and chest. Her condition is critical.

The russian forces dropped explosives from a drone on a 58-year-old man in Kherson. He suffered blast trauma and abdominal and leg injuries.

In Mykilske, a 50-year-old man was injured in a morning drone strike. He was hospitalised with blast trauma and shrapnel wounds.

Also in the morning, russian troops attacked a car by a drone in Beryslav. 2 people were injured. The 59-year-old man is in moderate condition, while the woman is in serious condition.

Based on the information provided by the State Emergency Service, due to russian shelling in the morning, a house in a settlement of Kherson oblast and a non-residential building in Kherson caught fire. Despite ongoing drone activity, firefighters extinguished both blazes.

A resident of Kindiyka, near Kherson, was injured in a Russian drone strike. He was hospitalized with a shrapnel foot injury and mine-blast trauma. Additionally, several days ago, a resident of Komyshany was wounded in a drone attack and was prescribed outpatient treatment.

Dmytro Voloshyn, Spokesperson of the Defence Forces, stated that on 14 April, Ukrainian Defence Forces in the south destroyed 2 russian Borisohlebsk-2 electronic warfare systems near Novokamianka in temporarily occupied Kherson oblast. Each system can perform up to 30 combat tasks and suppress various communication channels.

Around 9pm yesterday, russian forces shelled Vysoke village in Beryslav region, hitting a residential house. A 25-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy were injured and hospitalised in moderate condition.

2 men, aged 52 and 42, sustained minor injuries in a russian shelling of Shyroka Balka yesterday. They received medical assistance on site.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, stated that on 14 April, russian forces shelled 37 settlements in Kherson oblast. 8 people, including a child, were injured. Damage was reported to 3 apartment buildings, 21 private houses and several vehicles.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council presented state awards to military personnel who were killed defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Relatives of nine servicemen from Lutsk community were awarded III degree For Courage medals, awarded to the defenders posthumously.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Regional Council reported that Czech partners from the Vysochyna region sent a Skoda Octavia Combi car to Pylypetsk village council.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held an online meeting with Mick Safron, Vice President for Fundraising and Partnerships of the Ukrainian-American Coordinating Council. Following the meeting, it was agreed to continue the dialogue with the UACC on establishing international partnerships at the interregional level.

Lviv oblast

Lviv and the Swedish city of Uppsala have signed a partnership agreement. This is Lviv’s 32nd sister city.

Drohobych RMA sent 40 electric medical beds to medical institutions in Mykolaiv thanks to cooperation with the Ukrainian community of the city of Stargard (Poland), the Dovira NGO and a volunteer from Truskavets, Oleh Pavlichko.

The memory of the fallen defender Volodymyr Kovalev was immortalized in Sambir region. A memorial sign in honor of a former student of the school was installed and consecrated on the facade of Baranivtsi secondary education institution of Biskovitsa community.

Rivne oblast

This year, Rivne oblast will become the starting point for the 2025 Veterans Games, a nationwide competition designed not only to identify the strongest, but also to become part of the large-scale process of rehabilitation and social adaptation of Ukrainian defenders. The oblast will host the first qualifying stage.

Ternopil oblast

Trees were planted in the center of Ternopil as part of the Support the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Plant a Name Tree campaign. Over 70 participants took part in the campaign. Over UAH 1.6m was raised, which will be used to purchase drones for the defenders.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community sent 260 FPV drones worth UAH 3/1m to military units thanks to the budget.

Chernivtsi oblast

Preparations for the national resistance continue. In the first quarter of 2025, classes on the basics of national resistance were held in 22 communities of Chernivtsi oblast. In total, 24 important training events were organized, which were attended by almost 600 citizens. The training program includes courses in pre-medical tactical and fire training, training flights on UAVs, familiarization with mine and explosive matters, elements of protection, etc.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Belgium will provide Ukraine with €1bn in defense support. The country plans to allocate the same amount every year in the future.

Rustem Umerov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, announced that Ukraine has received long-range weapons, for the production of which Lithuania allocated €10m.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, held an online meeting with members of the International Expert Group on Sanctions against russia, which he co-chairs with Michael McFaul, Director of the Freeman-Spogli Institute for International Studies. They discussed strengthening and improving sanctions against the russian federation.
