It has been the 573rd day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

There were 15 combat engagements. The russian federation launched another air strike against Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs. According to the updated information, air defense destroyed 28 out of 31 Shaheds along their route in the southern, central and western regions of Ukraine. Civilians in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk oblast, suffered from a ruthless missile attack by an Iskander-M ballistic missile. In total, the russian invaders launched 9 missile strikes, 67 air strikes and 40 MLRS strikes at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. 

Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been destroyed and damaged.

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. There are no signs of offensive groups being formed. Certain units of the belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains its military presence in the border areas, continues shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Leonivka, Popivka, Chernihiv oblast and Hrabovske, Sumy oblast. Over 30 settlements suffered enemy artillery and mortars fire, including Karpovychi, Arkhypivka, Hremiach, Chernihiv oblast, Havrylova Sloboda, Seredyna-Buda, Obody, Veselivka, Sumy oblast, Ambarne, Stroivka, Topoli, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Ivanivka and Kupiansk, Kharkiv oblast. Over 10 settlements came under shelling with enemy artillery and mortar, including Krasne Pershe, Lyman Pershyi, Synkivka, Kotliarivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, the enemy launched air strikes in the vicinity of Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast and Spirne, Donetsk oblast. Over 10 settlements were shelled with enemy artillery and mortar, including Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, Torske, Yampil, Dronivka, Spirne, Berestove, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Forces successfully repelled an enemy attack in the area west of Yahidne, Donetsk oblast. The enemy tried to restore the lost position in the vicinity of Andriivka, Donetsk oblast, with no success. The occupiers launched air strikes near Bohdanivka and Klischiivka, Donetsk oblast. Over 25 settlements were shelled with enemy artillery and mortar, including Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Klischiivka, Andriivka, Kurdiumivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, the invaders launched an airstrike near Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. The enemy fired from artillery and mortar at about 10 settlements, including Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sjeverne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, the Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 10 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Mariinka, Donetsk oblast. The enemy launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk oblast. The invaders fired from artillery and mortar at about 10 settlements, including Mariinka, Pobieda, Maksymilianivka, Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy launched air strikes near the settlements of Vuhledar, Urozhaine and Staromaiorske, Donetsk oblast. About 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Blahodatne, Urozhaine, Donetsk oblast, were shelled with enemy artillery and mortar.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian Forces successfully repelled an enemy attack in the vicinity of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia oblast. The occupiers launched air strikes near the settlements of Levadne and Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy fired from artillery and mortar at over 25 settlements, including Charivne, Bilohiria, Orikhiv, Scherbaky, Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Towards Kherson, the invaders launched air strikes near the settlements of Vesele, Olhivka, Lvove, Tiahynka, Tokarivka, Sadove, Kherson oblast. The russian occupiers fired from artillery and mortar at about 10 settlements, including Antonivka and Kherson, Kherson oblast.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct the offensive operation towards Melitopol and Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy.

The russian occupiers cynically continue to violate international humanitarian law by forcibly living with civilians in their homes, using civilians as human shields. For example, in the settlement of Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia oblast, servicemen of the russian occupation forces are in large numbers housed with elderly civilians in their homes. On top of that, the occupiers are looting the apartments and houses of Ukrainian citizens.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched 16 air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons, and military equipment, and 2 strikes against anti-aircraft missile systems.

Rocket troops hit 3 command posts, 1 anti-aircraft missile system, 9 artillery systems, 1 ammunition depot and 1 electronic warfare station of the russian invaders.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a new procedure for exporting four types of products to five EU member states. Now corn, rapeseed, sunflower, and wheat, exported to Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria, must be licensed by the Ministry of Economy with the approval of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

The Ministry of Defense has approved two new tactical machine gun systems to be used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense. The RBPP-500 tactical complex for 7.62-mm PKM and MG42 machine guns with a capacity of 500 rounds, as well as the “Predator” tactical machine gun kit, will be put into service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ministry notes that the “Predator” is intended for the placement and continuous supply of machine gun belts equipped with 7.62 x 54 mm caliber cartridges for PC (PCM) type machine guns, and the RBPP-500 tactical complex – including 7.62 x caliber 51 mm to the MG42 machine gun.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

6 people were killed in Kupiansk as a result of a guided bomb attack. Serhii Bolvinov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Police Investigation Department, said that this was not the final data, as the killed were still being recovered from the river nearby and from destroyed cars. The number of casualties will be updated. The attack destroyed a bridge over the Oskil River. At the time of the shelling, a car with volunteers evacuating people from Kupiansk region was moving across the bridge. The attack was conducted with a Grim-E1 hybrid missile, based on the Soviet X-38 missile, with a maximum range of 120 km.

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that russian federation attacked Otradne village, Kupiansk region, with an S-300 missile from the territory of Belgorod region at night. The missile landed on the territory of an educational institution, damaging outbuildings.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the invaders attacked Kholodna Hora district three times at 11:10 pm. The type of missiles is being established. The shelling caused a fire in a non-residential building. There were no casualties.

During the day, Berestove of Kupiansk region, Kopanky and Shyikivka of Izium region were hit by air strikes.

More than 16 settlements were under artillery attack. Specifically, Odnorobivka, Strilecha, Vovchansk, Ozerne, Stroivka, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka and Kyslivka were targeted.

A kindergarten building, a fence, a playground and power lines were damaged as a result of hostile shelling in Vovchansk city, Chuhuiv region, at 10:30 am. There were no casualties.

 Litter on the area of 300 square metres was burning in the forestry as a result of enemy shelling in Vovchansk city at 7 pm.

Pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined 4.7 hectares of the region and defused 92 explosive ordnance. The work involved 31 pyrotechnic crews, 157 people and 63 pieces of equipment.

In 2014, 63-year-old architect Oleksandr Mytsai moved from occupied Makiivka, Donetsk oblast, to Yaremivka village near Izium, Kharkiv oblast. In March 2022, the man was under occupation for the second time. Then he became a gorilla, stealing shells, grenades and weapons from russian troops, followed russians and reported their positions to the community elder, who passed the information to Ukrainian forces. In May 2022, a shell hit his house and now the man is planning repairs and wants to use russian ammunition to make a drainage system out of the shell sleeves.

Donetsk oblast

Andrii Kovalov, Spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that Ukrainian troops are storming russian positions south of Bakhmut and gaining a foothold on new frontiers.

In total, russian invaders shelled 9 towns and villages yesterday. RMA reported that russians attacked Sloviansk community at midnight, damaging a dormitory, with no casualties.

Towards Volnovakha, 1 person was injured community and a farm damaged in Bahatyr of Velyka Novosilka. Vuhledar suffered an air strike and 31 artillery shellings. Maksymivka was shelled with Grad.

Towards Donetsk, 1 person was killed in Avdiivka and 1 injured in Kurakhove. Two buildings were damaged in Novoselivka Persha of Ocheretyne community. Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Katerynivka of Marinka community were shelled.

Towards Horlivka, 1 person was killed and 1 injured, 3 buildings damaged in Pivnichne of Toretsk community. 2 more buildings were damaged in Druzhba. 4 buildings and an outbuilding were damaged in Chasiv Yar community.

Towards Lysychansk, 1 person was injured in Torske of Lyman community. Two streets in Siversk were under attack.

Police evacuated three more children from Zhelanne Druhe village of Marinka community near the frontline. Ten more children remain in the village. According to the RMA, all children have been evacuated from 30 settlements in Donetsk oblast.

Over the past week, power engineers restored electricity supply to 54 settlements in Donetsk oblast. As a result, more than 28K families have electricity in their homes. At the same time, 117 settlements remain without power.

Donetsk police delivered almost a tonne of humanitarian aid to frontline Kostiantynivka. Volunteers brought personal hygiene products, clothes and shoes for the people. The most necessary items were delivered to the hospital and the Humanitarian Aid Distribution Centre.

In Tetianivka, near Sviatohirsk, police exhumed the body of a woman who was killed in the summer of 2022. Due to constant shelling by russian forces, she was buried near her home.

Kristina Shevchenko, Head of the Initiative Youth of Ukrainian Niu-York NGO, said that Slavske settlement hosted the New York Camp, an educational camp for youth from Ukrainian Niu-York village in Donetsk oblast, which was dedicated to the memory of Ukrainian writer Victoriia Amelina. She was killed as a result of a russian missile attack on Kramatorsk.
Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the enemy has gathered significant reserves in the region and maintains tension along the entire frontline. The invaders are no less actively using artillery and aviation. They carefully choose the area to shell and try to conduct targeted shelling to force the Armed Forces of Ukraine to withdraw.

The enemy launched air strikes near Bilohorivka. Bilohorivka and Nevske were shelled with mortar and artillery. In Nevske alone, there were 26 explosions. Not only enemy artillery but also Lancet UAVs were used in the village.

The so-called “first elections” are over, there are fewer guests and the promises were forgotten. In Sievierodonetsk community, the invaders have been collecting documents for compensation for the destroyed property for more than a year but the population was told that they did not have the funds. People complain that the commission does not even visit the buildings to inspect them.

During the so-called “first elections” in the occupied territories, russians claimed an excessive turnout and in some settlements people did not see any election commissions at all but on paper the voting allegedly took place there.

83 secondary education institutions in Luhansk oblast continue online learning process for about 22K children. The teaching staff was maintained.

Citizens of the region applied 40,773 informational messages about damaged/destroyed real estate. 27,589 concerned property destroyed by russians and 13,184 concerned damaged property.

More than two thousand economic activities were  able to resume their operations, pay taxes and create jobs.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that the All-Ukrainian Complex Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities, which was damaged during hostilities in 2022, resumed work in Lutezh. The institution was rebuilt thanks to the help of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine and the Red Cross of Luxembourg. In the future, military personnel will be rehabilitated here.

By the end of 2023, the first phase of the National Military Memorial Cemetery is planned to be put into operation in the Kyiv oblast. Yulia Laputina, head of the Ministry of Veteran Affairs, said that burials of soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine will begin there this year. The military cemetery in the Hatne community will have a convenient location with access to public transport.

Head of Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko said that more than 1,200 shelters have been set up in educational institutions of the Kyiv oblast. Almost 270,000 people can stay in them during emergencies. During 2022-2023, shelters were repaired in almost 900 educational institutions in the oblast, repair work is ongoing in 68 more.

Irpin City Council reported that a hostel is being restored in the village of Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka, 19 families who lost their homes as a result of the russian invasion will live there.

Due to philanthropists, the installation of 60 solar panels was completed at the Irpin Children’s City Polyclinic. The implementation of the project will increase the safety of the medical facility’s energy supply, provide reliable protection and uninterrupted provision of medical services.

The State Film Agency reported that the Kyiv International Film Festival “Youth” will present for the second time its national feature film competition at the Hamburg Film Festival (Filmfest Hamburg). Seven feature-length films will be presented in the competition.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr RMA reported that there are almost 63,000 internally displaced persons on the territory of the oblast. In total, 432 people live in 29 places of the compact settlement, the vast majority of migrants settled in the private sector.

A pilot project will be launched in Zhytomyr oblast as part of the implementation of the “Concept of the Security System in Educational Institutions”. The project is based on UNESCO’s experience in the field of education in emergency situations, technical expertise on strengthening the education system. It is also part of the National Program of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support.

Zhytomyr regional military administration reported that the oblast has created access to full-time education for 97% of students. Since February 2022, the number of equipped shelters in educational institutions of the oblast has increased by more than three times. At the expense of the regional budget, they plan to complete the repair of another 9 shelters this year.

Sumy oblast

Sumy RMA reported that russians carried out 2 attacks of the border region, 6 hits from mortars were recorded. Krasnopillia and Bilopillia communities came under shelling.

The russians carried out 37 shelling of the border, a total of 171 explosions were recorded. The enemy struck using artillery and mortars, SPG, and also dropped 4 VOG munitions from an unmanned aerial vehicle. Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Khotyn, Yunakivka, Velika Pysarivka, Hlukhiv, Esman, Seredina-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske communities were under enemy shelling.

Prosecutor General’s Office reported that two people who were in the territory of their own households were injured due to another russian shelling of the Shostka region. According to the investigation, on September 19, around 11:30 a.m., the invaders fired at the city of Seredyna-Buda from the territory of the russian federation. In addition, two private houses were damaged.

Sumy regional boarding school for talented and creatively gifted children is planned to be named after the graduate Dmytro Yevdokymov, who died in the war in March 2022. He was a student at Kyiv National University and volunteered to defend Ukraine in the early days of the large-scale invasion. In one of the corridors of the gymnasium, a commemorative plaque with photos of the young man is installed.

Chernihiv oblast

SBGS reported that the russians shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast for 5 times from their territory, Semenivka community came under shelling. 34 hits from mortars and barrel artillery were recorded in the direction of the settlements of Orlykivka and Karpovychi.

Chernihiv RMA reported that 10 people, including four children, remain in hospitals in Chernihiv a month after the russian missile attack on the drama theater. Three victims continue to receive treatment in Kyiv. It will be recalled that on August 19, at around 11:30 a.m., the russian army hit the center of Chernigov with an “Iskander” missile, which was set up for detonation in the air. As a result of the strike, seven people died, including a six-year-old child, and 214 were injured.

The acting mayor of Chernihiv Oleksandr Lomako announced that the repair of 82 houses in the city damaged by the russian missile attack on the drama theater on August 19 is being completed. Before the beginning of the heating season, the roofs of six high-rise buildings, which were significantly damaged during the impact, will also be overhauled. International organizations are maximally involved in the process.

Ruslan Yemets, head of Chernihiv Trolleybus Management, announced that the trolleybus connection to the Bobrovytsia microdistrict in Chernihiv, which was suspended due to the destroyed contact network during the hostilities in the city, is being restored. Repair work on the replacement of pillars is currently underway in this direction. The works are planned to be finished by the middle of November this year.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening, the invaders shelled civilians of Nikopol region. They used artillery. A 71-year-old man, a resident of Nikopol, was injured. The man was hospitalised in a moderate condition. 6 residential buildings, an outbuilding, a garage, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged.

Kryvyi Rih was attacked. A fire broke out on the fourth floor of a non-operational building which was extinguished by rescuers. 

Windows in 3 apartment buildings were broken. There were no casualties.

In the morning, the Air Force shot down an enemy UAV over the region.

During the day, the invaders attacked the region from drones. One of the enemy UAVs was shot down. The enemy attacked Nikopol with another UAV and shelled the city with artillery.

An explosion was heard over the Synelnykove region. There were no casualties.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​8-year-old Roman Oleksiv returned to Ukraine after treatment in Germany. He suffered 45% body burns as a result of a missile attack on Vinnytsia on 14 July 2022. In Germany, the boy was operated three times a week. Unviable tissue, glass and muscle were removed from his leg, his eardrum replaced and numerous skin transplants performed. As a result, in Dresden, Roman opened his eyes and took his first steps for the first time since his injury. Further treatment and recovery will continue in Lviv.

During the ninth Vinnytsia Styled Zakrutka cycling marathon, UAH 59K were raised for tourniquets for defenders. The event was held in the format of a pair race and had a charitable purpose.

Vinnytsia educational institutions joined the Death To The Enemy All-Ukrainian campaign. Students bring plastic lids to school for recycling and money will go to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to buy a drone.

Kirovohrad oblast

Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration reported that the region delivered over another pair of pick-up trucks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The pickups were blessed by Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine.

Poltava oblast

Five veterans in Poltava oblast received UAH 1.3 million to start or develop their own businesses. The grants are provided by the government’s Grants for Veterans and Their Families programme. The most commonly chosen areas for investment are taxi services, eco-cleaning, growing vegetables and herbs in greenhouses, trading in building materials and auto parts.The programme is designed for combatants, people with disabilities due to war and their spouses. Three types of grants are available: up to UAH 250K, up to UAH 500K and up to UAH 1 million.

Cherkasy oblast

Music for Victory will be performed at Cherkasy Regional Theatre named after Taras Shevchenko to raise funds for tactical medicine for the military defending Ukraine. 100% of the funds raised will be used to purchase tactical medicine: occlusive bandages, hemostatic bandages, bandages and tourniquets.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia oblast, three russian drones hit industrial warehouses in Lviv. The fire is still being extinguished. 

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that, over the past day, the russian army carried out 107 attacks in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The attacks took place on the territory of Zarechne, Zaliznychne, Levadne, Poltavka, Charivne, Olgihske, Lugovske, Stepnogirsk, Lobkove and other frontline settlements. There were 28 reports of the destruction of residential buildings, outbuildings and infrastructure. There were no casualties. 

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, said that on the night of  September 19, air defence forces in Mykolaiv oblast shot down 10 russian attack drones launched by the enemy from Prymorsk-Akhtarsk in the north-western direction. 

“South” Operational Command reported that the elimination of an enemy Grad multiple rocket launcher system was confirmed on the Kinburn Spit. It was from this position that the occupiers fired at the Ochakiv community. 

In Mykolaiv oblast, the process of demining the territory from ammunition left behind by the russian occupiers continues. According to the State Emergency Service, pyrotechnic units of the Mykolaiv garrison have removed and destroyed 19,612 pieces of ammunition since the beginning of the war through controlled explosions.

Odesa oblast

Southern Defence Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of September 19, air defence forces destroyed one Shahed-131/136 attack UAV over Odesa region.

Roman Hryhoryshyn, Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional Chamber of Commerce, reported that the government of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen has allocated a tranche of 718,000 euros to rebuild educational institutions in Odesa that were damaged by Russian missile attacks. These arrangements will be formalised by signing a trilateral agreement between the Bremen authorities, the Odesa Regional Military Administration and the educational institutions in late September. It has also been agreed with the Bremen Chamber of Commerce to hold a business mission this autumn to introduce German businessmen to Odesa Oblast.

12:0 – this is the score of the Odesa women’s football team SeaSters, which defeated the Poltava team Lider. A charity sale of virtual tickets was launched for the game. The money raised – UAH 150,000 – will be donated to the Monster Corporation Foundation to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, reported on September 19 that the vessel RESILIENT AFRICA left the port of Chornomorsk in Odesa region with three thousand tonnes of wheat on board. It is heading towards the Bosphorus. This is the first of two vessels that entered the port of Chornomorsk last week through a temporary corridor for civilian vessels established by the Ukrainian Navy. The second vessel is in the port loaded with Ukrainian wheat for Egypt. 

Kherson oblast

Around 15:00, on September 19, russian soldiers shelled Kherson Agricultural University. According to the prosecutor’s office, three women who were near the university were injured.

A hospital, a village club and houses in Tyahynka were damaged by a russian army guided aerial bomb. There were no casualties. 

Roman Mrochko, head of  RMA, reported that after 15:00, the russian army struck again at the Korabelny district of Kherson. Two people were wounded. 

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that as a result of today’s shelling of Kherson, two people were killed and three were injured. 

Around 04.00, the russian army shelled Stepanivka near Kherson. There was a direct hit to a residential building. The building of a medical institution was also damaged. There were no casualties.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on  September 18, three people died and 11 were injured in Kherson region as a result of shelling by russian troops. The russian army fired 95 times at the de-occupied territory. The shells hit houses, a garage cooperative, an enterprise in Kherson and a house of culture in Beryslav region.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The Department of Social Services for Family, Children and Youth of Lutsk City Council received a new CROSS electric car, Dongfeng M5EV (electric bus, 2022) from UNICEF.

The other day, three more security classes were opened in Holobska and Lutska communities. Therefore, from now on, 47 such classes are functioning and being taught in educational institutions of the oblast. In total, 92 such classes are planned to be opened in Volyn oblast.

Zakarpattia oblast

RMA reported that the 66th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Mstislav the Brave received a Renault Master ambulance, an ambulance based on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, as well as basic necessities.

The regional council received a high-power generator thanks to the About Ukraine CF.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

IF IT Forum 2023 was held in Ivano-Frankivsk. This year the forum was for charity, where every ticket became a contribution to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Lviv oblast

At night, Lviv oblast was attacked by 18 enemy kamikaze drones of the Shahed type during an air alert. 15 of them were shot down by the Forces of the West Air Command. As a result of the attack, industrial warehouses in Lviv were hit. One person was killed, 2 others were injured. There are fires in four locations in the warehouses. The burning area is over 9K square meters. The fire is still being extinguished – about 125 employees of the State Emergency Service and over 30 pieces of equipment. In addition, in Chervonohrad region, the wreckage of the Shahed Geranium-2 was found. Explosive technicians are working on the spot.

During the morning attack on Lviv, the russians destroyed 300 tonnes of humanitarian aid at the warehouse of the Caritas-Spes non-governmental organization. Denise Brown, humanitarian coordinator of the UN in Ukraine, said that the warehouse was burnt to the ground.

UNHCR will support the development of youth centers in Lviv oblast for over $100K. The organization has already visited 16 communities that have youth centers participating in the program.

RMA reported that the military received a quadcopter purchased with premium funds from the winner of the regional journalistic competition.

Rivne oblast

RMA reported that volunteer builders from Kozyna and Krupetska communities completed the reconstruction of Kochubeyiv community.

RMA held a meeting with Su Yu-Suan, Director of the representative office of the Taiwan Council for the Development of Foreign Trade (TAITRA) in Ukraine. They discussed cooperation.

Vitalii Koval, Head of the RMA, during a working trip to critical infrastructure facilities announced that protection of energy infrastructure is being strengthened in Rivne oblast.

The oblast received medical equipment and ambulances from the Lublin Voivodeship.

Ternopil oblast

RMA reported that in Ternopil oblast, 33 educational institutions implement the school meals program of the UN World Food Program.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, during an air alert, the air defense forces shot down a Shahid type UAV. There are no casualties. There is currently no information on property damage due to falling debris.

Khmelnytskyi City Council decided to allocate UAH 95 mln to support the defense forces (repair of equipment (7 mln), and the purchase of silencers (8,5 mln), anti-drone systems (over 4 mln), quadcopters (12,5 mln), thermal imagers (4 mln), special equipment, etc.).

Khmelnytskyi City Council decided to allocate financial assistance of UAH 50K to 7 families of captured and missing soldiers. In addition, 18 families received financial assistance of almost UAH 300K for the restoration of homes damaged by the terrorist attack in May.

Chernivtsi oblast

RMA held a meeting with heads of law enforcement structures in Chernivtsi oblast. They discussed security issues under martial law.  

 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The 15th meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine began at the US Air Force Base Ramstein in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, where Rustem Umyerov, new Minister of Defense, is participating for the first time.

Boris Pistorius, German Defense Minister, reported that the country sent a new aid package, including additional ammunition (high-explosive, mortar, rocket), armored vehicles, demining systems, winter clothing and generators, worth EUR 400 mln to Ukraine.

Norway will send about 50 tracked trucks to Ukraine. The trucks can transport ammunition, food and water to Ukrainian troops in the field.

The Chosun Ilbo reported that South Korea will send 2 K600 Rhino mine-clearing machines to Ukraine.

Denmark will send 15 modernized T-72EA tanks and 30 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine. These tanks are part of the military aid package that Denmark announced earlier.

Daniel Blazhkovec, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, announced that the country signed an agreement with Denmark and the Netherlands that, with their financial support, will supply weapons, namely, tanks, howitzers, small arms, etc., to Ukraine.

Estonia, Luxembourg and Ukraine created an IT coalition that will provide support to Ukrainian defense forces in cyberspace to strengthen Ukraine’s self-defense capabilities. 3 more countries signed the declaration of intent

44 rescuers from Ukraine are participating in joint training in Poland to eliminate the consequences of emergency situations related to the release of radioactive, chemical and biological substances. The training covers the following topics: protection against weapons of mass destruction; elimination of chemical and radiological pollution with special emphasis on events related to phosphorus; decontamination after the explosion of the so-called “dirty bomb”.

“As a result of russian attacks, over 280K tonnes of grain were destroyed, which would be enough to feed 10.5 mln people for a year,” said Lloyd Austin, US Defense Secretary.

In New York, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, visited the Staten Island University Hospital clinic, where wounded Ukrainian servicemen undergo treatment and rehabilitation. Volodymyr Zelenskyy talked with the military personnel and awarded the defenders with 3th degree For Courage orders.
