It has been the 603rd day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

In the early hours of October 19, the kremlin terrorist forces cynically launched another missile attack with an Iskander-M ballistic missile on a civilian facility in the city of Mykolaiv. On top of that, the occupiers used Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs against targets in southern Ukraine, most of the UAVs were shot down by the air defense.

On October 19, there were more than 70 combat clashes. The enemy launched a total of 8 missile and 48 air strikes, 24 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks killed and wounded civilians. Private houses, apartment buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues to shell Ukrainian settlements from its territory and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. More than 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Sosnivka, Kostobobriv, Hremiach (Chernihiv oblast), Volfyne, Kyianytsia, Stepok, Novodmytrivka, Riasne (Sumy oblast), Odradne, Kolodiazne, and Topoli (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian soldiers repelled more than 10 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Synkivka and Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast), and around 10 more attacks near Nadiia (Luhansk oblast). There were airstrikes in the vicinities of Petropavlivka, Podoly and Pishchane (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15x settlements, including Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Pishchane, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian defense forces repelled enemy attacks in the vicinity of Makiivka (Luhansk oblast). The enemy launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Spirne, Vyimka and Vesele (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20 settlements, including Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, Vyimka, Zvanivka, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks in the vicinity of Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Klishchiivka and Kurdiumivka (Donetsk oblast). More than 25 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and Kurdiumivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Avdiivka, Novokalynove, Stepove, Sievierne (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defense forces repelled more than 10 enemy attacks. Also, the russian army launched an airstrike near Berdychi (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Avdiivka, Opytne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Marinka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinity of Marinka (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defense forces repelled 11 enemy attacks in that area. Also, the occupiers launched air strikes near Oleksandropil’ and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Mar’inka, Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers.

Towards Shakhtarske, Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks near Zolota Nyva (Donetsk oblast). The invaders launched airstrikes near Vuhledar and Pavlivka (Donetsk oblast).

Around 15 settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Robotyne and Novodanylivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 30 settlements, including Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Robotyne, Kamianske, Plavni, Prymorske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Beryslav and Vesele (Kherson oblast). The settlements of Inzhenerne, Antonivka, Komyshany (Kherson oblast) and the city of Kherson came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

At the same time, the Ukrainian defense forces continue offensive operations in the Melitopol axis, offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched 13 air strikes on buildups of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment, an airstrike on a command post and 4 air strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems of the adversary. Moreover, the Ukrainian defenders shot down 4 operational-tactical reconnaissance UAVs of the russian invaders.

Rocket troops hit a command post, 2 buildups of occupiers’ troops, weapons and military equipment, 2TOS-1A SolntsepIiok heavy flamethrower systems and 13 artillery systems.

Catherine Bomberger, Director General of the International Commission on Missing Persons, informs that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 30 K civilians have gone missing. She also noted that the numbers continue to grow. 

MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak says that a bill to ban the UOC-MP is supported. In the future, MPs will submit amendments and the bill will be considered in the second reading. 

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine  website informs that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enacted the decision of the  NSDC of 17 October 2023 “On the organization of protection and ensuring the security of the  of critical infrastructure and energy facilities of Ukraine functioning in the context of hostilities”. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Illia Yevlash, Spokesman of the press service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that there were about 30 combat clashes with the enemy yesterday: 10 near Nadiia and five more near Makiivka. Also russians attacked Ukrainian positions with artillery and mortars 708 times.

197 invaders were eliminated and 36 pieces of enemy weapons and equipment destroyed. Among them are five T-72 tanks, 11 armoured combat vehicles, a Pion self-propelled gun, D-20 and D-30 guns, a Rapira anti-tank gun, a Fagot ATGM, seven UAVs, five of which are Lancet, six cars, a fuel tanker and an ammunition depot.

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reports that fighting continues towards Kupiansk. Yesterday our troops repelled 15 enemy attacks near Synkivka, Ivanivka and Kyslivka. The invaders suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment.

The press service of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that russians shelled Vovchansk, Pidlyman and Pisky-Radkivski with artillery. Private buildings, outbuildings and cars were damaged.

The press service of the Regional Administration said that a 74-year-old and a 69-year-old man were injured in the shelling of Vovchansk. According to the Regional Rescue Department, a fire broke out after the strike. A garage, two outbuildings and a car were on fire. The fire was extinguished in about three hours.

Yesterday russian invaders attacked settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions.

The enemy launched a missile attack, first with an Iskander missile, on Kharkiv at around 11:50 am. The territory of a civilian enterprise was hit. A 67-year-old woman sustained shrapnel wounds. She was hospitalised in moderate condition. The power lines and the roadway were damaged. A 1.5 metre crater was formed at the site of the hit near the house.

An apartment building was damaged as a result of artillery shelling in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region. There were no casualties.

A 2-storey apartment building and 2 private buildings were damaged as a result of mortar shelling in Odnorobivka village, Bohodukhiv region. There were no casualties.

In Lyptsi, Kharkiv region, a car was damaged by MRLs.

Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 14 hectares of territory and defused 92 explosive ordnance.

Serhii Starikov, Head of Shevchenkove Village Military Administration, reported that the last farewell to those killed in the russian missile strike on 5 October will be held in Hroza village. According to him, they will say goodbye to a 70-year-old woman. Six people were buried yesterday. As a result of the russian attack on the village cafe, where the memorial service for the fallen soldier was held, 59 people were killed.

Donetsk oblast

According to the press service of Donetsk police, Avdiivka, Ukrainsk cities, Kurdiumivka, Nelipivka settlements, Dovha Balka, Predtechyne, Torske and Yurivka villages were under enemy shelling. 47 civilian objects were damaged, including 33 residential buildings, a food warehouse, a preschool institution, a music school, an enterprise, outbuildings, a transformer, vehicles and power lines.

Referring to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Volnovakha, russians shelled Vuhledar with Grad MRLs.

Towards Donetsk, Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka of Marinka community were shelled. Avdiivka suffered three air strikes yesterday and two massive artillery attacks in the morning. 4 apartment buildings and the territory of Avdiivka Coke Plant were damaged. In Ukrainsk of Selydove community, 19 private buildings, 8 apartment buildings, 2 outbuildings, 2 educational institutions and an administrative building were damaged. In Ocheretyne community, a school in Zhelanne was damaged and the outskirts of Ocheretyne and Novobakhmutivka shelled.

Towards Horlivka, a building in Nelipivka of Toretsk community was damaged. Three buildings were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. The outskirts of Kostiantynivka were shelled.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, russian troops started the pressure from two sides. The Defence Forces repelled more than ten enemy attacks near Nadiia alone. Also russians advanced again near Makiivka where they had stopped for several days before. There were five unsuccessful assaults yesterday. The invaders launched airstrikes on Nevske, Novoliubivka and Bilohorivka.

A KAB-500 bomb exploded in Nevske, destroying a residential building. The second one was on the outskirts of the village. The same settlements suffered from artillery and mortar shelling.

220 loaves of bread were delivered to the residents of Makiivka, Hrekivka and Novoliubivka.

Residents of Sievierodonetsk, who are staying in the city, complain about looting during fake repairs and the aftermath. The repairmen do not miss anything valuable. Previously, they took household appliances and items that could be taken out, but now they take almost everything. 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

On October 18, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Cholaku in Kyiv. Officials called this meeting a joint meeting of both governments and announced cooperation and agreements in a number of areas. Denis Shmyhal noted that Romania has sheltered 125 K Ukrainian refugees since the beginning of the full-scale russia invasion and has become one of the main countries for transit through its territory.

Vitaliy Shaida, Director of DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Networks,  says that 4K kilometres of power grids were repaired and 278 facilities renovated before the heating season in Kyiv oblast. According to him, in response to the challenges of wartime, the company reformatted operation of emergency teams and assigned them to certain settlements, which made it possible to speed up restoration work on networks.

Ukrainian manufacturers of drones and UAVs presented their developments to military attachés of foreign countries in order to strengthen cooperation with international partners and attract investments in their production. Oleksandr Mamatov, Head of the All-Ukrainian Organization of War Disabled Persons, Armed Forces and Combatants, senior reserve officer of engineering troops, said this during a round table in Ukrinform on the topic “Drone army – new realities of modern war”.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi inspected restoration of the private sector and apartment buildings in the city of Irpin and the village of Buzova, Kyiv oblast. There, private houses, high-rise buildings and infrastructure are being restored, the road and bridge between Irpin and the village of Hostomel repaired.

A farewell ceremony was held on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv for Serhii Ikonnikov, the youngest commander of the unit of the 72nd separated brigade Black Zaporozhets with the call sign Monk. He was killed on the day of his 25th birthday, October 13, during an enemy assault near Uhledar. Serhii fought from the beginning of the full-scale invasion: first, in the 206th separate battalion of territorial defense in Kyiv oblast. Later he completed training and went to the east.

An action was held on Sofiyivska Square in Kyiv under the slogan “Be the voice of our prisoners. Your silence is killing them”, which aims to remind Ukrainians about the fighters of the Azov battalion, who have been in russian captivity for a year and a half. According to the organizers of the action, there were no exchanges of prisoners of war which included Azov fighters for four months. Relatives have been waiting for their beloved on the exchange lists for more than 500 days.

In Kyiv, on October 20, the main building of the War Museum and the entire territory of the Memorial Complex will be opened. On this day, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War presents four art projects to visitors. The Trident installed on the shield of the Motherland monument and the soviet coat of arms removed from the shield of the sculpture will be on display.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr RMA reports that 30 mobile fire groups have been created on the territory of the oblast. They aim to detect and destroy russian kamikaze drones. They are provided with transport, which is fully equipped with the necessary equipment – searchlights, thermal imagers, powerful laser pointers, walkie-talkies and charging stations. 8 pickup trucks and the necessary equipment to fight against Shaheds were purchased by Zhytomyr community, and 22 vehicles by other communities of the oblast. In the future, it is planned to create 80 such mobile groups.

In Zhytomyr, border guards received unmanned aerial vehicles and an anti-drone device, which were handed over to them by Zhytomyr City Council. As reported in the Northern Border Detachment, this year alone, the community handed over ten multipurpose UAVs and anti-drone combat equipment to the defenders.

In Zhytomyr, mobile phones are collected for wounded soldiers. This request came from military medics as many servicemen who have lost their personal belongings after being wounded and have no opportunity to notify their relatives that they are alive. The collection will last until October 23. In two days, it was possible to collect 30 both new and old models of mobile phones.

Sumy oblast

The regional military administration reports that on the night of October 18, an enemy Shahed UAV hit an infrastructure facility in Sumy. The strike damaged one of the city’s sports complexes and nearby residential buildings. The explosion shattered windows and doors in the sports facility and damaged the roof, scattering glass and plastic fragments several dozen meters away. No one was killed or injured in the explosion.

Sumy City Council reports that an operational headquarters is working near the damaged sports complex to eliminate the consequences of the explosion. The commission continues to inspect the damaged buildings and accepts applications from the victims.

As reported by Sumy Regional Military Administration, russians fired 17 times at the border areas and settlements of the oblast. There were 89 attacks from various types of weapons against Bilopillia, Khotyn, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka and Shalyhine communities.

International partners continue to support Sumy oblast. The regional military administration reported a meeting with a delegation from the Danish Refugee Council. It is a leading international humanitarian organization that provides support, assistance and protection to refugees or internally displaced persons.

The regional SES reports that on October 18, rescuers were involved in providing assistance to internally displaced persons. 50 citizens who were forced to leave their homes in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine received support, psychological assistance and help with accommodation in railroad cars.

Chernihiv oblast

At the border of Chernihiv oblast, russians fired 10 times from their territory. The Northern Border Guard Detachment reports that there were 94 explosions: Novhorod-Siverskyi community – 11 attacks from cannon artillery; Snovske community – 1 strike from cannon artillery; Semenivska community – 27 attacks from cannon artillery and mortars, and landmines from an enemy drone; Horodnia community – 55 attacks from AGS and mortars. 

As a result of the Russian shelling of the Semenivka community on October 19, a house was destroyed and a car of local residents was damaged, the National Police of the region reported. According to Serhii Serhiienko, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi regional administration, the enemy shelling also damaged outbuildings in Kostobobriv village.

Chernihiv Regional State Administration reports that despite all the damage that russia has done to the utility sector, the region is technically ready for the start of the heating season.  Heat and power specialists and the community are actively involved in both preparing the facilities and ensuring the timely start of the season.

Chernihiv Regional Military Administration reports that 191 residents of Chernihiv oblast became winners of the Own Business program of the government project eRobota. This will create more than 400 new jobs. The total amount of financial support from the state amounts to UAH 45.6 million. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, stated that the enemy attacked the region with missiles and late in the evening hit an infrastructure facility in Pavlohrad. In the morning, the Air Force shot down another missile over Kryvyi Rih region. Artillery was used three times in Nikopol region. About three dozen shells were launched at Marhanets and Myrove communities.

The invaders launched missiles at the region. There were hits in Dnipro region. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out and dry grass was burning. During the day, the enemy attacked Nikopol region three times. Marhanets community was hit twice. They attacked with a Kamikaze drone and artillery. Nikopol was also shelled with artillery. They launched about two and a half dozen shells. An educational institution, an infrastructure facility, a cultural institution, 10 private buildings, 5 outbuildings, 2 cars, 2 power lines and solar panels were damaged.

Vadym Buaurulov, Head of Dnipro-Holovnyi railway station, reported that an Invincibility Centre was set up in the waiting room at Dnipro railway station. The room is equipped with solid fuel stoves, a backup power supply, internet, charging stations, a children’s zone and a drinkers for animals. In total, the centre has 124 seats.

Serhii Lysak, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, confirmed that Dnipropetrovsk oblast received 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid from the First Lady Olena Zelenska Foundation. The aid is for 34 family-type orphanages in Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih. These areas are among the most affected by the war.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov informed that the first five Shahed catchers, new off-road vehicles with searchlights, were delivered to the defenders of Ukraine from Vinnytsia oblast.

Vinnytsia City Council stated that they signed a memorandum of understanding and partnership with European Technologies in Construction LLC. The company is implementing various projects in the industrial and residential fields and is ready to join the search for investors to finance the construction of a rehabilitation and sports complex in the community. Such a complex is necessary for the rehabilitation of the military and the development of children and young people involved in sports.

Kirovohrad oblast

Nataliia Horbenko, Deputy Director of the Health Department, reported that the realisation of the Ministry of Health’s concept of building a rehabilitation system based on a capable chain is ongoing in Kirovohrad oblast. Providing rehabilitation assistance is one of the priorities of the state. Both military and civilians can receive assistance.

Poltava oblast

A memorial plaque to serviceman, ceramist and artist Sviatoslav Pashynskyi was unveiled in Poltava. It was installed on the facade of the children’s art school where he worked. In 2014, he went to fight in the ATO zone and after the start of a full-scale war, he returned to the front. The 44-year-old soldier was killed on 26 March 2022 in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

Rescuers from Cherkasy Regional Department of the State Emergency Service conducted a lesson for school students in the UNICEF playroom in Smila. The specialists of the State Emergency Service reminded children of the basic rules of fire safety, the use of electrical appliances, the procedure for action in case of a fire in the house, the principle of operation of a fire extinguisher and how to use it.

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Zaporizhzhia regional police reports that search operations have been completed in Zaporizhzhia after a rocket attack by the russian military. The bodies of five people have been freed from the rubble, and five other residents injured. The search and rescue operation lasted more than 20 hours. 

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that towards Zaporizhzhia, the Defence Forces are holding back the russian army in the areas of Novodarivka and east of Mala Tokmachka, and towards Melitopol, they have partial success southwest of Verbove.

On October 18, the russian army struck 123 times at 21 settlements in Zaporizhzhya oblast. There were 107 artillery attacks near Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Robotyne, Levadne, Preobrazhenka, Malynivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Piatikhatky, Kamianske, Prymorske, Novoiakovlivka and other towns and villages close to the front line.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional State Administration reports that on the night of 19 October at 00:55, the city of Mykolaiv was hit by a rocket attack, which caused a fire in an old warehouse building on the territory of one of the enterprises, and damaged apartment buildings. No one was killed or injured. 

Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, said that in the evening, on  October 18, at 20:30, the russian army launched a missile attack on a village of Stepove community, hitting a catering facility. Two people were killed in the rubble and one person injured. The strike also damaged residential buildings, an agricultural enterprise and other civilian infrastructure. On the night of October 19, at around 02:40 in the same village, the wreckage of a Shahed-136/131 drone caused a fire on the roof of an unused one-storey warehouse building. There were no casualties.

The press service of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration said that on  October 19, Georgiy Reshetilov, First Deputy Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, with the support of the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, handed over modern equipment to Mykolaiv pyrotechnics for underwater demining operations. From now on, the diving unit has been “reinforced” with a Vallon VMW1_Underwater metal detector and a remotely operated vehicle (ROV/drone). The metal detector is designed to detect mines, improvised explosive devices and unexploded ordnance and can be used underwater at a depth of up to 30 m, while the underwater vehicle is used for underwater surveys and inspection of underwater communications and structures. 

According to Ochakiv City Council, Serhii Bychkov,  Mayor of Ochakiv, was on a business trip to the city of Dorn. During the meeting with the deputies and mayor of the Dutch city, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the cities of Ochakiv (Ukraine) and Dorn (Netherlands). The purpose of the agreement is to establish and develop cooperation in such areas as economy, trade and investment; construction, planning and management of municipal services, social infrastructure, modern technologies, administrative services, science and education, healthcare, and social and cultural relations. 

Odesa oblast

Anna Velichko, Head of the Mental Health Centre and Head of the Psychosocial Support Department, at a briefing at Ukraine Media Centre, states that in Odesa, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 1,000 servicemen have undergone rehabilitation at psychoneurological hospitals. In addition, doctors regularly visit military units to work with those in need of psychological and psychiatric support.  

The State Emergency Service in Odesa oblast reported that on October 19, a Mobile Safety Classroom arrived at the UNICEF Children’s Point in Odesa. The first visitors were IDP children who were forced to leave their homes due to russian aggression. The children were not only charged with positive emotions and gained new knowledge, but also became little friends of rescuers and police officers. 

Kherson oblast

Three people were wounded in the morning shelling of Kherson. They were hospitalised.

10 aerial bombs were fired at Beryslav. Two women were wounded. Official vehicles were also damaged in the city. Two more UAVs hit the village of Vesele. The consequences of the strike are being investigated. 

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, says that the enemy made 105 attacks, firing 580 shells from mortars, artillery, Grads, AGS, ZU-23-2, tanks, aircraft and UAVs. The enemy fired 23 shells at the city of Kherson. Russian troops hit residential areas of the region’s settlements; the territory of a factory and a park in Kherson. 2 people were killed and 4 others wounded. 

According to Kherson Regional State Administration, as a result of the negotiations, the Serbian government agreed to provide temporary accommodation for 4-6 months for families affected by the russians’ flooding of the Kakhovka HPP. Those who wish to do so will be accommodated in a hotel-type refugee centre in Vranje, which is currently home to about 70 Ukrainian citizens. Each family will be provided with a fully renovated furnished room with its own bathroom, three meals a day, and emergency medical care. The centres are funded mainly by EU programmes. 

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Volyn border guards receive 2 diesel generators thanks to the Swedish Assistance Center CF. The peculiarity of generators is that they are equipped with remote control panels, specialized for powering complex office equipment, and are silent and economical.

Zakarpattia oblast

Lviv oblast

Since the beginning of the year, Lviv RMA has allocated over UAH 1 billion to expenses caused by the war. An analysis of part of the regional budget expenditures in 2023, which includes regional target programs, capital expenditures of regional institutions, and the reserve fund of the regional budget, shows that every third hryvnia of them was directed to the needs caused by the war.

The RMA held a meeting with Vitorio Sorotyuk, Vice-President of the World Congress of Ukrainians, Head of the Ukrainian-Brazilian Central Representation. They discussed cooperation in the field of medicine and economy.

Farmers from Great Britain sent 9 SUVs to the military of the West Air Command, the 107th separate territorial defense brigades and the 141th separate rifle brigades as part of the Pickups for Peace initiative.

Drohobych RMA and the KOLO CF sent 2 cars to Ukrainian soldiers.

Volunteers from Zhovkva sent a Citroen Jumper van for their countryman and his military brothers from the Lithuanian sister city of Elektrynai.

Employees of Zolochiv City Council purchased a Ford Ranger car and Starlink for the needs of servicemen of the 64th Territorial Defense Brigade.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting with international partners regarding projects to help women in Rivne oblast and contribute to their socialization and attraction grants for starting their own business. George Antun, regional director of the International Orthodox Christian Charities, Gaga Nikabadze, representative of the IOCC in Ukraine, and Vasyl Lozynskyi, Head of the social service department of Rivne diocese of the Eleos-Rivne OCU, took part in the meeting.

Oleksandr Tretiak, Mayor of Rivne, reported that  3 cars will be sent from the city to the military.

Caring residents of villages of Sukhivtsi, Radukhivka, Novozhukiv, Novostav-Dalniy, Zoria, Bilyv, Starozhukiv, Zastavia and Derevyanie, in Zoriansk community, collected another batch of seasonal vegetables for defenders of Ukraine undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in one of the local medical institutions.

Ternopil oblast

In Ternopil, servicemen undergoing treatment at Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital created paintings. Participants of the master class reflected their inner feelings drawing pictures.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi sent 235 special devices of various calibres for extinguishing sound and flame during shooting and 23K special means for cleaning weapons worth UAH 5,7 mln to the one of the units of the Special Operations Forces thanks to the funds from the city budget. Equipment will be used both on automatic and large-calibre weapons. 

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that the Terrible Flowers of War exhibition of works by Vasyl Tchaikovskyi from Kherson oblast opened in Chernivtsi Regional Art Museum.

The United Kingdom implements the Plan of emergency assistance to Ukraine in the winter period. “The United Kingdom will continue to support Ukraine diplomatically, militarily and financially. Together with international partners, we are implementing our Winter Emergency Assistance Plan for Ukraine (£127 mln in aid for 2023/2024),” said Nicholas Ocott, senior military advisor to the UK delegation to the OSCE.

Olaf Scholz, German Chancellor, said that his country is preparing a winter package of military aid for Ukraine, including air defense equipment. Germany will supply Ukraine with an additional unit of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, new Iris-T systems, new Gepard anti-aircraft tanks and new ammunition.

The Ministry of Health signed a Memorandum on cooperation in the field of forensic medicine and forensic examination with the International Commission on Missing Persons for development of standard operating procedures of forensic examination based on international standards.

Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation, announced that Ukraine signed a Memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Transport of Latvia. They agreed on joint work on the implementation of 5G in Ukraine, support of mobile operators and restoration of broadband Internet.

Kazakhstan introduced a ban on the export to the russian federation of 106 types of goods, including technological ones, namely, drones, microelectronics and others that can be used by russians for military purposes.

Finland began to block the purchase of real estate by russians. The decision is based on the fact that the purchase of real estate by citizens of the russian federation hinders the organization of national defense or the protection of the territorial integrity of Finland. In addition, Finland wants to completely ban real estate transactions for russians. During the winter, the question of a complete ban on these agreements or significant additional restrictions will be considered.

Representatives of Ukraine are participating in the forum Rebuilding Ukraine: Bucharest – 2023“, which began in the capital of Romania. In addition, the meeting between the Ukrainian and Romanian governments was very successful in Kyiv. As a result of negotiations, an intergovernmental agreement was signed on the construction of a 261 m bridge across the Tisza River between the settlements of Bila Tserkva (Ukraine) and Sighetu Marmacia (Romania).

Rallies were held in European and American cities in support of defenders of Mariupol, who have been in captivity for 515 days. Rallies were organized by the Association of Families of Defenders of Azovstal. “515 days is a huge and unfathomable period of time to stay in enemy captivity, where every day our soldiers are accompanied by hunger, torture, lack of proper medical care and contact with relatives,” organizers said.
