At the beginning of the day, the russian occupiers launched yet another missile and air strike on Ukraine, using 1 Kh-59 air-launched cruise missile, S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles and 6 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces and means shot down 1 Kh-59 air-launched cruise missile and 6 Shaheds.
On October 17, there were 56 combat clashes. The enemy launched a total of 3 missile and 34 air strikes, 6 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.
The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains challenging.
Towards Volyn and Polissya, there were no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.
Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 12 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Syn’kivka, Kyslivka and Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast), and 7 more attacks near Nadiia (Luhansk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Krasne Pershe, Synkivka, Kyslivka, Petropavlivka, and Pishchane (Kharkiv oblast).
Towards Lyman, the enemy launched airstrikes in the vicinity of Serebrianka forestry and Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), the settlements of Vesele and Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20 settlements, including Makiivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Kolodiazi, Bilohorivka, Vesele, and Spirne (Donetsk oblast).
Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian soldiers repelled attacks in the vicinity Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Niu York (Donetsk oblast). More than 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Kostiantynivka (Donetsk oblast).
Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Avdiivka and south of Tonenke (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5 enemy attacks in that area. The occupiers also launched an airstrike near Stepove (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Sukha Balka, Keramik, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).
Towards Marinka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults with air support in the vicinities of Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 attacks in that area. Around 10 settlements, including Oleksandropil, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.
Towards Shakhtarske, Ukrainian defense forces repelled enemy attacks south of Zolota Nyva and south of Prechystivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Urozhaine, Staromaiorske, Rivnopil (Donetsk oblast). Around 15 settlements, including Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
Towards Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian defenders repelled all of the enemy attacks west of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 15 settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Charivne, Novodanylivka, Shcherbaky, Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
Towards Kherson, the occupiers launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Beryslav (Kherson oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at Zolota Balka, Odradokamianka, Antonivka, Kizomys (Kherson oblast), the city of Kherson, as well as Dmytrivka, and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast).
At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.
The Ukrainian Air Force launched 15 air strikes on buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment, 3 airstrikes on anti-air missile systems of the enemy.
Ukrainian rocket troops hit 5 command posts, 1 buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1 ammunition depot and 1 artillery system of the russian invaders.
The Ukrainian military has received 840 drones purchased with the state funds: 500 DJI Mavic 3E reconnaissance drones that can transmit information about enemy positions, 300 Phoenix 03 Heavy UCAV FPV strike drones that allow the military to hit enemy observation posts, dugouts and armoured vehicles at any time of the day, 40 Vampire strike drones that can operate with a load of up to 15 kg and in complete darkness.
Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, says that Ukraine has returned home three boys and a 17-year-old girl who were illegally deported by russians during the full-scale invasion. .
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Commander of the Tavriia Military Group, and Illia Yevlash, Spokesman of the press service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that over the past week, Ukrainian troops destroyed three russian Su-25 attack aircraft in Donetsk oblast and an Mi-8 helicopter near Svatove in Luhansk oblast.
Kharkiv oblast
According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, fighting continues towards Kupiansk. Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled at least 15 attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka. The enemy is suffering losses and has no advance.
Yesterday the settlements of Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk and Izium regions were under enemy attack.
An artillery shelling of Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region, damaged a veterinary hospital building and a garage.
In Pidlyman village, Izium region, a building was damaged by MRLs attack.
In addition, the enemy attacked Udy of Bohodukhiv region, Veterynarne and Neskuchne of Kharkiv region, Hatyshche of Chuhuiv region, Dvorichna and Kamianka of Kupiansk region and other settlements.
A 72-year-old man tripped over an explosive object in Izium at around 11:50 am. He was hospitalised with moderate injuries.
During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 10 hectares of territory and defused 83 explosive ordnance.
Referring to the press service of the Regional Rescue Department, 47 people were killed and 187 injured as a result of an explosion on russian ammunition since the beginning of the de-occupation of Kharkiv oblast.
The Ministry of Energy informed that gas supply was restored to two thousand households in Kharkiv oblast overnight. Another two thousand households remain without gas due to russian shelling.
Maksym Khaustov, Director of the Regional Health Department, said that Kharkiv oblast plans to set up 15 more rehabilitation departments in the region’s medical institutions by the end of 2024. Separate inpatient rehabilitation departments are already operating in two hospitals in Kharkiv oblast: the Regional Clinical Hospital and Derhachi Central Hospital. Khaustov stated that 17 departments should be enough to cover the need for rehabilitation services in the region.
Ihor Terekhov, Kharkiv Mayor, reported that four trams from the Czech Republic have arrived in Kharkiv and five more trams are expected on Wednesday. According to him, they will start running as soon as they are adapted to the track width.
Donetsk oblast
According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, on 16 October, russians killed 2 civilians in Pervomaiske and injured 1 more in the region.

In the middle of the night, russians shelled Sloviansk, damaging a dormitory, with no casualties.
Towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar and Bohoiavlenka were shelled, no casualties were reported.
Towards Donetsk, 2 people were killed in Pervomaisk of Ocheretyne community. Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka of Marinka community were shelled. In the morning, Avdiivka was under massive shelling, hitting two streets. Private buildings were damaged in Kalynove and Memryk of Novodonetske community.

Towards Horlivka, 2 apartment buildings, 2 private buildings and an educational institution were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. 4 buildings were damaged in Dyliivka of Toretsk community. One person was injured in Kostiantynivka.
Towards Lysychansk, 2 infrastructure facilities were damaged in Siversk. Torske, Zarichne and the outskirts of Lyman were shelled.

The press service of Donetsk police informed that near Avdiivka, the White Angels crew came under cluster attack while rescuing people. On the way to the city, they were hit by Uragan MRLs and debris damaged the car. This did not prevent the law enforcers from delivering 1,500 loaves of bread to the residents of Avdiivka.
In Pokrovsk, volunteers from Volnovakha organised an educational 3D printing laboratory for local teenagers and children from IDP families where they can learn modelling.
Luhansk oblast
According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the enemy shelled Serebrianka forestry and the territory of Nevske and Novoliubivka villages from the air. Four KAB-500 aerial bombs exploded in the settlements. After two weeks of attacks on Makiivka, russians slightly changed the course and began to storm Stelmakhivka and Nadiia but all five attempts were repelled. Makiivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka suffered artillery and mortar attacks.
When the security situation allowed, the residents of the de-occupied villages were delivered clothes, candles, matches, lanterns, etc. Representatives of the Territory of Women NGO helped with this.
The invaders published information on the performance of the budget for the three quarters of this year in the so-called luhansk people’s republic. The revenues of the occupied Luhansk oblast, whose territory, except for Sievierodonetsk region, avoided hostilities, make up less than half of the needs for salaries to state employees or almost a third of the needs for payments to pensioners.
Meanwhile, firefighters in the so-called luhansk people’s republic continue to work at Sukhodilska-Skhidna underground mine, where on 10 September a fire broke out underground. They cannot extinguish the fire for over a month.
Roman Vlasenko, Head of Sievierodonetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that there is no centralised heat supply in Severodonetsk region and the invaders promise to connect only up to 15% of the housing stock in Lysychansk. In Kreminna and Rubizhne, only administrative buildings will be heated. Food prices vary across the so-called luhansk people’s republic. For instance, the closer to the contact line, the higher the price.

Kyiv oblast
Penny Pritzker, the United States special representative for economic recovery of Ukraine, visited the Coca-Cola plant in the Kyiv oblast. She saw with her own eyes the restoration of the plant after the damage it suffered during the russian occupation. As Penny Pritzker reported at the press conference, she intends to visit Ukraine often to improve relations between American investors and the Ukrainian government and business.
Another Extended meeting of the Presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, which took place on October 16, was devoted to the issues of Kyiv oblast. Special attention was paid to rebuilding communities and restoring the region as a whole. The event was attended by Penny Pritzker, the US Special Representative for the Economic Recovery of Ukraine.
The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the pre-trial investigation of two russian army officers accused of committing war crimes during the temporary occupation of Kyiv oblast in March 2022 has been completed. In the occupied village of Bohdanivka, Brovary region, russian soldiers shot a local resident in the leg in a wooded area in order to detain him. They kept the victim at his location for 5 days with his hands tied behind his back, tortured him, starved him and did not give him water. In addition to this case, there are other victims of bullying by russian commanders.
Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of Kyiv regional military administration, said that another 15,000 destroyed or damaged objects in the oblast need to be restored. A number of programs are implemented for reconstruction in the oblast and all possible resources are involved – funds from UNITED24, the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression, regional and local budgets, and government programs.
At the railway station of Kyiv, the Point of Invincibility became operational. There will be uninterrupted heating, back-up power and communication thanks to Starlink. It will also be possible to recharge equipment for free at the railway station.
The city government of Hiroshima expressed its willingness to cooperate with Bucha and added that it would contribute to the development of both cities. This will take place under the initiative of Mayors for Peace, which is headed by Hiroshima. This organization includes more than eight thousand cities from 166 countries and regions of the world, including Kyiv and Bucha.
The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy reported that the famous Italian photographer Massimo Listri visited Ukraine. On October 16, the acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy Rostislav Karandeev met with him in Kyiv. The message says that the Italian team of businessmen, artists, managers of cultural institutions and politicians has been powerfully helping Ukraine since the first days of the war.
Zhytomyr oblast
Zhytomyr regional military administration reported that as part of the “Recovery Army” project, more than 1,100 referrals to work have already been issued in the oblast. Unemployed locals earned more than UAH 7 million from socially useful works. The works were organized in 34 territorial communities, the most active – in Ovruch, Andrushivka, Malyn, Korosten and Volitsya.
The mayor of Zhytomyr, Serhiy Sukhomlin said that the funds of city`s budget will be directed exclusively to school shelters, medicine and the military next year. In the summer of this year, approximately UAH 140 million was withdrawn from facilities on which reconstruction work was planned and directed to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But today opinions are divided between those who are at the front and those who are here in Zhytomyr.
Sumy oblast
Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the russians carried out a mortar shelling of the Krasnopillia community – 2 explosions were recorded. In total, 3 enemy shellings with 10 mortar hits were recorded during the past day. Shalyhine (7 explosions) and Krasnopillia (3 explosions) communities were shelled.
Lebedyn signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership with the Hungarian city of Papa. The solemn signing took place in the presence of an official delegation from the city of Papa, the heads of the deputy factions of the Lebedyn City Council and the heads of the structural units of the executive committee of the city council. During the signing of the Memorandum, the Hungarian delegation got acquainted with the peculiarities of local self-government in the conditions of martial law, as well as the cultural and historical heritage of the community.
The mayor of Trostyanets Yuriy Bova said that the city received three more buses from partners. The Mercedes-Benz O 530 Citaro buses were provided to the community by the Taiwan representation in Poland and the Polish charitable organization Polskie Centrum Pomocy Międzynarodowej (PCPM). Transport will be used to improve the quality of life of the community – it will bring remote areas and villages closer to the center.
Chernihiv oblast
During the past day, the russian military shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast 3 times from its territory. As reported in the SBGS, a total of 35 explosions were recorded: 5 unguided missles fired from an enemy helicopter on the territory of the Novhorod-Siverskyi community; 1 mortar attack on the territory of Snovsk hromada; 29 strikes from the AGS on the territory of the Horodnya community.
Chernihiv RMA reported that about 3,000 trench candles, 200 thermal heaters, and 150 mini-stoves were made by a group of activists from the Snovsk community during the time since the liberation of the oblast. Volunteers have established partnerships with foundations in Germany and Lithuania, which periodically send the necessary material. The rest of the costs are covered by donations from local residents and own resources.
Chernihiv RMA reported that UAH 673 million is earmarked for the restoration of Chernihiv oblast from the fund for liquidation of the consequences of armed aggression of the russian federation. The managers of this money are several structures, including the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of the Infrastructure of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Chernihiv RMA and the Nova Basan Village Council. The funds will be used to rebuild the village of Yahidne, repair educational and medical institutions, a center for social and psychological rehabilitation of children, and a civil defense facility in communities affected by russian aggression.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Regional Council reports that the region is ready for the heating season. Critical infrastructure enterprises are provided with generators and a contingency plan has been developed. Last year, massive attacks began on October 10. Missiles were launched that day in several waves from the Black and Caspian Seas, including by Tu-95MS and Tu-22MZ aircraft. In addition to 83 missiles, the enemy launched 17 shaheeds. The coming winter may be more difficult than the previous one. Recently, there have been fewer enemy missile attacks from airplanes, which may indicate that the aggressor is stockpiling missiles for massive strikes when the cold weather comes.
Vinnytsia oblast
Twenty-seven families of Kalynivka community in Vinnytsia oblast whose homes were destroyed by russian shelling used the Restoration electronic public service. Twenty-four of them have already received monetary compensation. The state began refunding money for war-damaged housing in May 2023. Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the community has been repeatedly attacked by russian missiles and “shaheds.” There were some casualties. As of October 16, only 27 families in the community have used this electronic public service. Of these, 26 applications have been processed, and 24 families have received financial compensation.
Kirovohrad oblast
Pickup trucks for the military are the goal of Kropyvnytskyi charity foundation Help from the Heart. Its founders work with volunteers who transport used SUVs from the UK to Ukraine. In Kropyvnytskyi, the vehicles are being repaired and sent to the Ukrainian military in different areas of the frontline.
Poltava oblast
In Myrhorod, where houses were damaged by russian shelling on October 16, applications for assistance are being accepted. This applies to the owners of damaged housing and the injured. The most affected have the opportunity and right to apply for state aid. In addition, there will be assistance from the local budget, taking into account the damage to houses or apartments. They also plan to provide assistance from the regional budget for the most damaged houses and apartments.
Myrhorod Mayor Serhii Solomakha says that the couple and their child, who were injured in their home during the shelling of Myrhorod on October 16, will receive medical assistance. This is UAH 50 K from the regional budget.
Cherkasy oblast
Cherkasy oblast is technically ready for the start of the heating season. Utility companies, together with territorial communities, have developed emergency response plans, including those related to possible power outages. Everyone knows what to do. The necessary material and technical reserve has been created for emergency response. The region’s heat supply companies, especially their critical facilities, are 95% equipped with backup power supplies. Work in this area continues. As of today, there are 202 Invincibility Centres in the region: 195 are operating and 7 ready to go. Currently, most of the centres are open during working hours. If necessary, they will switch to round-the-clock mode.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Special operations forces confirmed the attack on airfields in Berdiansk and Luhansk. As a result of the DRAGONFLY Operation, nine helicopters of various modifications, special equipment, an air defense launcher, and an ammunition depot were destroyed. The runways of the airfields were also damaged.
Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that on October 16, russian troops struck 86 times in 14 towns and villages close to the front line. 78 artillery attacks took place on the territory of frontline settlements, including Huliaipole, Orikhove, Robotyne, Malynivka, Novodanylivka, Shcherbaky, Charivne and Chervone. The enemy fired 6 MLRS at Huliaipole, Zaliznychne and Mala Tokmachka, and attacked Novoandriivka and Novodarivka with UAVs. There were no casualties.
Mykolaiv oblast
The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that on the night of October 16-17, russian aviation fired an X-59 guided missile from the territory of the occupied Kherson oblast. This is a Soviet and russian precision air-to-surface missile of medium range designed to hit important enemy ground and surface targets. The missile was shot down by Ukraine’s air defence systems.
Snihurivka, Pershotravne, Radsadivka and Horokhiv communities of Mykolaiv oblast received new dump trucks. The UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) purchased the special equipment to enhance utilities with funds from the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine. The dump truck weighing 17.7 tons has a 380-horsepower diesel engine and a manual transmission. These vehicles are the most common in the segment of bulk cargo transportation of sand, gravel, solid waste, etc. The vehicles have a payload of 15 tons. Last week, the purchased vehicles were registered at the regional Service Center and put into operation.
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv oblast reported that a new and modern mobile safety classroom from UNICEF has just arrived in Mykolaiv oblast and has begun to be actively used by specialists to conduct outreach activities with children. On October 17, rescuers and representatives of the juvenile police met the first visitors to the mobile classroom – students of Mykolaiv’s secondary school No. 60. The classroom will continue to operate and reach more students in different parts of the city and region.
Odesa oblast
The press centre of the Southern Ukrainian Defence Forces reported that over the Black Sea, air defence forces destroyed six Shaheds sent from Crimea towards Odesa oblast, with debris from the downed drone hitting a recreational area. The wreckage of one of the downed UAVs fell on the Odesa Yacht Club, destroying the building of a sailing school and a hangar for storing property, and damaging civilian private boats and yachts. There were no casualties.
As part of the Together to Victory project, a charity concert was held the National Guard military orchestra last weekend at the Basilica church complex in Artsyz to raise funds for the needs of the Armed Forces. The concert part was opened by a violin ensemble of the Arts School of Arts. But the real highlight of the programme was the performance of the orchestra of the military unit 3012 of the National Guard of Ukraine (conducted by Major Oleksandr Fedorchuk). The music and atmosphere left no one indifferent, and the audience expressed their gratitude with a generous donation. According to the organisers of the event, UAH 28,093 was raised that evening.
On October 17, three vessels left Odesa ports to use the temporary Black Sea corridor: Bull, Ramus and Bahar K. The Panamax bulk carrier entered the Ukrainian port to load on October 12. The Ramus and Bahar K vessels entered the temporary corridor on October 13. On October 17, the general cargo vessel Briza entered one of the Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea. This is evidenced by data from ship traffic monitoring services.
Kherson oblast
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, on October 17, russian troops fired several times at Kherson. A transport company was hit. As a result of the shelling of the Dniprovsky district of Kherson, 10 people sustained injuries of varying severity.
In Kherson oblast, the russian army attacked the villages of Chervonyi Maiak and Zolota Balka. An outbuilding caught fire.
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on the night of October 17, russian aviation dropped five guided bombs on Beryslav and Vesele. There were no casualties.
On October 16, the russian army fired 32 times at Kherson oblast. A medical facility in Beryslav was damaged. There were no casualties.

100 construction kits for emergency repairs were delivered to Kherson residents. 240 residents will now be able to partially repair their homes and prevent their destruction in the auutumn and winter. This became possible thanks to the support of UNHCR Ukraine, the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine.
Residents of Kherson oblast are in constant stress and fear. That is why the specialists of the Prolisok Center decided to provide the residents with not only humanitarian but also psychological support. The psychologists held individual consultations and group talks with the residents and told them how to cope with stress.

The RMA reported that at the railway stations of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia, Invincibility Centers have started working.
A safety classroom was set up in Malospakivskyi Lyceum. This is the first such location in Diadkovytska village community and the 54th in the oblast. The classroom is equipped with everything necessary to efficiently teach students provided by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine together with the UNICEF Ukraine Children’s Fund.
Lviv oblast
The RMA held a meeting with Vladyslav Ortyl, Marshal of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. They discussed the possibility of opening new checkpoints on the border of Lviv oblast with Poland.
Gdańsk City Council donated PLN 1 mln to support the construction of UNBROKEN. With these funds, they plan to complete the construction of two floors in the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center and place there a ward with about 70 beds, a recreation area and a terrace.
Over the past week, 1K people received help at the Coordination Centers of Lviv oblast. Among them, 136 girls and 124 boys received help from child psychologists working within the project. Child psychologists work in Lviv oblast as part of a project implemented in cooperation with UNICEF Ukraine and NEEKA Ukraine with the support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development USAID Ukraine and the people of Japan.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
The European Parliament supported the allocation of EUR 50 billion to Ukraine in the next 4 years. Further, according to the procedure for the adoption of the final decision, negotiations of the parliament with the EU member states should begin. This will happen as soon as the EU Council agrees on a common position.

Lithuania will repair Leopard tanks that were damaged at the front in Ukraine. The press service of the Lithuanian army informed that after restoration of technical capacity, combat vehicles will be returned to the front. Such tasks allow the Lithuanian army to train and maintain the readiness of its personnel. In addition, it ensures verification of logistics chains and enables uninterrupted support to Ukraine.
18 Ukrainian women released from captivity underwent rehabilitation in Poland. The rehabilitation trip for former captives was organized by the Blessed Klymenty Sheptytskyi Foundation within the framework of the implementation of the Program to support Ukrainian women who were freed from russian captivity. The program is supported by the Government of Poland.
In Germany, signatures are being collected under a petition in support of the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine. In a week, the petition gathered over 3K signatures.
Latvia investigates the support of the russian army by a local company. The State Security Service conducted investigative actions at five company facilities in Riga and other regions of the country. During the searches, a large number of media and documents, as well as samples of the company’s products, were seized. In addition, over half a million euros were found at facilities related to the company.
The ENG for UARMY social project has launched by the Army English YouTube channel for the Ukrainian military to teach military English in accordance with NATO language standards (STANAG 6001). The project was created by a group of volunteers led by teacher Olena Chekryzhova and supported by the US Embassy in Ukraine.
