War in Ukraine today: latest news, November 11, 2023 (photo)

It has been the 626th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

There were 71 combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 1 missile and 41 air strikes, 44 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged. 

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes and signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. They continue its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increase the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Zaliznyi Mist, Halahanivka, Leonivka, Chernihiv oblast, Seredyna-Buda, Stepok, Basivka, Sumy oblast, Starytsya, Mali Prokhody, Vovchanski Khutory, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kharkiv oblast, and Stelmakhivka, Nadiia, Luhansk oblast. The Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 attacks in the area. The occupiers launched air strikes near Kyslivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kharkiv oblast. The invaders fired from artillery and mortar at around 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, they launched failed assaults with air support in the area of Serebrianske forestry, Luhansk oblast. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinity of Kopanky, Kharkiv oblast, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, Terny, Sivers’k, Spirne, Donetsk oblast. The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, Torske, Serebrianka, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the invaders conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Andriivka and Klischiivka, Donetsk oblast, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks. They launched an airstrike near Kurdiumivka, Donetsk oblast. Around 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Klischiivka, Kurdiumivka, Ivanivske, New York, Donetsk oblast. 

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted assault operations with air support near Avdiivka, Sieverne and Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 14 attacks. The occupiers launched air strikes near the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Lastochkyne, Orlivka, Donetsk oblast. The enemy fired from artillery and mortar at around 10 settlements, including Berdychi, Sieverne, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, they launched unsuccessful assaults with air support in the vicinity of Mariinka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 attacks. Around 10 settlements of Donetsk oblast, including Heorhiivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, were under the occupiers’ artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the invaders conducted assault with the air support in the vicinities of Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva and Staromaiorske, Donetsk oblast, to no success. Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks in the area. They launched an airstrike near Urozhaine, Donetsk oblast. Around 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Staromaiorske, Donetsk oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the invaders launched  failed assaults with air support in the vicinity of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia oblast. Around 30 settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Charivne, Robotyne, Piatykhatky, Zaporizhzhia oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the invaders launched an air strike near the settlement of Tiahynka, Kherson oblast. The settlements of Chornobaivka, Stepanivka, Kherson oblast, the city of Kherson and the city of Ochakiv, Mykolaiv oblast suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation towards  Melitopol and offensive (assault) operations on Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

Ukrainian Air Forces launched 10 air strikes on concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers. Moreover, Ukrainian air defense destroyed 1 S-400 anti-aircraft guided missile.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 2 artillery systems, 6 buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment, 2 air defense systems of the russian invaders.


As a result of russian shelling, the equipment of a substation in Sumy oblast caught fire. However, the electricity produced by Ukrainians is sufficient for the consumers’ needs.

The International Monetary Fund expects GDP growth of up to 4.5% by the end of this year in Ukraine. T”The Ukrainian economy continues to demonstrate extraordinary stability and further signs of stabilization. Recent developments from the economic perspective to a stronger-than-expected economic recovery in 2023 and a significant decline in inflation amid strong reserves and a stable foreign exchange market,” the IMF noted.

Another 11 Ukrainians were evacuated from the Gaza Strip to Egypt. The total number of evacuated Ukrainians increased to 214 people.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that russian troops launched air strikes near Kyslivka and Stepova Novoselivka. During the day, about 10 settlements in the region were under russian artillery and mortar attacks.

The press service of Kharkiv State Emergency Service said that a 46-year-old resident of Chuhuiv region was hospitalised with shrapnel wounds as a result of an explosion, his car tripped over a mine on the road between Hrakiv and Mospanove.

Volodymyr Fito, Spokesman of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed that 13 russian assaults were repelled by the Defence Forces towards Lyman-Kupiansk yesterday and 48 pieces of military equipment destroyed, including 8 tanks, 4 armoured vehicles and about ten guns.

The enemy shelled Vovchanski Khutory village, Chuhuiv region, with mortars around midnight last night, damaging a private building. There were no casualties. In addition, late in the evening, the enemy attacked settlements of Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv regions with Shahed UAVs.

In Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region, a 2-storey administrative building of a civilian enterprise was damaged. In Kupiansk, at least 2 private buildings were damaged and fires broke out.

As a result of a Shahed attack on Solonytsivka village, Kharkiv region, an educational institution and a non-operational production facility were damaged.

Also, the enemy shelled Udy of Bohodukhiv region, Bochkove and Budarky of Chuhuiv region, Kamianka, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka of Kupiansk region and other settlements with artillery, mortars and other weapons.

Serhii Bolvinov, Head of Kharkiv Police Investigation Department, reported that there were no casualties from hostile shelling over the day. Two policemen were injured in the evening of 10 November as a result of an attack on Kupiansk by Shahed drones. They were injured during a “double strike” which is a repeated attack on the site of the hit, when medics, rescuers and investigators were already working there.

Yesterday, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 15.5 hectares of territory and defused 79 explosive ordnance.

Towards Kupiansk, our defenders repelled 8 attacks near Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Ivanivka over the day.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, stated that as of 11 November 2023, 245 children have been evacuated from dangerous communities of Kupiansk region. Another 46 are to be evacuated. The evacuation is ongoing.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that yesterday russian invaders conducted 35 attacks near Avdiivka.

Russian invaders are trying to regain control of the railway near Klischiivka and are constantly trying different assault scenarios, combining infantry and using different equipment but so far without success.

Yurii Fedorenko, Commander of the Achilles Brigade, stated that towards Bakhmut, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in “active defense” and are advancing on separate sections.

Oleksandr Shtupun, Spokesman of the Joint Press Centre of Tavriisk Defence Forces, informed that russian troops have increased the number of assaults and attacks towards Avdiivka, while losses have increased by almost 30% compared to the previous days as they are already using units that include people convicted of criminal offences.

Russian troops shelled Toretsk, killing a 61-year-old woman walking down the street and a 65-year-old man riding a bicycle. According to Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, russian shells hit a residential area, where apartment buildings are located alongside private sector. As a result of the explosions, which occurred on several streets of the city, windows, doors of residential buildings and outbuildings were destroyed, floor plates destroyed, roofs and coverings damaged.

There was an unprecedented operation in Avdiivka: White Angels crew and rescuers removed from the rubble the bodies of two people killed in a russian air strike on a nine-storey building on 9 November.  As a result of the missile strike, one staircase covered two civilians. The victims, a 63-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman, were on the third floor. Risking being smashed by the concrete, the White Angels and rescuers used only available tools to remove the bodies of both victims. They had to dismantle the rubble with their bare hands and carry the victims on their backs. At the same time, explosions were heard all around as the enemy was shelling Avdiivka. The bodies of the man and the woman were removed and taken to the morgue. And russia’s war crimes have been documented.

According to the news of Geerman TV and radio company, on 11-12 November, the Smoldering. The Tree of Life documentary film about the mosaics of Mariupol will be screened at the international film festival FilmFestival Cottbus in Germany. The documentary will be shown as part of the Spotlight: Ukraine.

The night before, russians attacked Pokrovsk, causing no casualties.

Towards Volnovakha, a building in Novoukrainka was damaged. Vuhledar and Maksymivka were under attack.

Towards Donetsk, a man was injured in Yantarne of Kurakhove community and Kurakhove shelled. Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Antonivka of Marinka community and Stepove, Berdychi and Novokalynove of Ocheretyne community were attacked.

Towards Horlivka, 4 apartment buildings, 3 private buildings, 3 industrial buildings and 3 outbuildings were damaged. In Soledar community, Rozdolivka and Vasyiukivka suffered.

Towards Lysychansk, Zvanivka and Pereizne of Zvanivka community and Torske and Zarichne of Lyman community were shelled.

Ihor Moroz, Acting Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday russians injured 1 civilian in Yantarne. In addition, information about 2 people, who were killed in Avdiivka earlier, was discovered.

Luhansk oblast

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said that the day before, there was one of the most powerful shelling of Nevske recently. The invaders opened fire on the settlement about 45 times. Buildings located on five streets were destroyed. The extent of the destruction is currently under investigation. In the evening, a resident of this settlement was injured when she fell and broke her arm during russian attack.

The enemy attacked Nevske, neighbouring villages and the logistics around it. In addition, russians tried to storm towards the village throughout the day.

According to the RMA, the enemy attacked from four sides in Luhansk oblast and such intensity has not been observed for a long time. There was fighting near Stelmakhivka, Novoiehorivka, Nevske and in Serebrianka forestry. The enemy infantry was supported by aviation towards Lyman. Our defenders are bravely holding back the invaders there.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv city’s military administration reported that the russian military attacked the oblast with drones. All drones were destroyed on the approaches to the city by Air Defense Forces. The KCMA assumes that the russian federation tested the capital’s air defense system with a night attack.

After a long pause of 52 days, the enemy resumed missile attacks on Kyiv. As reported in KCMA, in the morning towards the capital, the enemy launched a ballistic air target. The missile did not reach Kyiv, the air defense forces destroyed it on the approach to the capital. According to the preliminary information, there were no damages or injuries.

The Air Force reported that the morning attack on Kyiv was repelled with the Patriot air defense system. What type of missile was shot down – ballistic “Iskander-M” or anti-aircraft guided S-400, is currently being clarified.

Kyiv RMA reported that two rockets hit a field between populated areas in the oblast. The blast wave damaged five private residential buildings, as well as commercial premises and a private enterprise. People were not injured.

Defense Minister of Lithuania Arvydas Anushauskas arrived in Kyiv and met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. It was about further defense cooperation, mamely the supply of armored medical evacuation vehicles for the front.

A mobile surgical stabilization station for front-line areas was presented in Kyiv. This is the second mobile surgical stabilization point of Keep Life, which will be transferred to the front by the Charitable Fund named after Hero of Ukraine Boris Voznytskyi. The first was transferred to Zaporizhzhia last December.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that the law enforcement officers sent an indictment to the court against the commander of the 45th special brigade of the russian airborne forces for the cruel treatment of prisoners of war and residents of Hostomel. It was established that from February 24 to March 7, 2022, russian military personnel seized the Antonov airport in the village of Hostomel and, following the general’s instructions, captured 28 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and at least 30 local residents. People were taken to a basement on the territory of the airport and kept for a long time without any amenities – at low temperature, humidity, in the absence of ventilation, lighting, conditions for sleeping and toilet.

The head of Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko reported that as part of the program “eRecovery”, positive decisions were made on compensation for damaged housing in the oblast  for almost 5.5 thousand applications for 544 million hryvnias. Owners of damaged housing can spend the received funds on repairs to their homes. Compensation for destroyed housing is in the form of non-cash certificates.

“Media Detector” reported that Donbas Media Forum-2023 opened in Kyiv. The forum will host panel discussions on the role of the media in the process of European integration of Ukraine, in the coverage and documentation of war crimes, and in post-war reconstruction.

The Kyiv City Council renamed 14 schools and 12 libraries with russian names. The decision was made as part of de-russification and decommunization of the spheres of education and culture.

Zhytomyr oblast

Foresters of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” continue systematic cooperation with communities and local authorities as part of the international Forest Recovery project, which is aimed at increasing the area of the forest fund and preserving self-seeded forests in Ukraine. Narodychi community in the north of Zhytomyr oblast is one of the successful participants of the project. Part of its territories suffered as a result of hostilities during enemy occupation. At the same time, almost 25,000 hectares of land of the “National Specialized Forestry” branch needs to be examined by explosives specialists.

In the Kurne community of Zhytomyr region, teachers and parents of students built a shelter for the lyceum branch. Building materials for its construction and decoration were provided by local entrepreneurs. The shelter at the lyceum is already in use, its arrangement, completion and finishing works are currently underway.

In Zhytomyr, a resettled woman from Kherson oblast received a grant of one and a half thousand euros for her own business. For four months, she participated in the Small and Medium Business Support School program and, after completing it, received this grant. She will invest the proceeds in a new device for removing vascular mesh and papillomas.

Sumy oblast

Sumy military administration reported that russians launched a mortar shelling of the Shalyhine community, 1 explosion rang out.

The russians carried out 19 attacks of the border territories of Sumy oblast, a total of 109 hits from mortars, artillery, MLRS, SPG and FPV drone hits (4 explosions) were recorded. The communities of Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhine, Esman, Seredina-Buda came under shelling.

The Police of Sumy oblast reported that two private homes and power lines were damaged due to russian shelling on November 10.

On November 10, a fire broke out in the police department due to the shelling of Seredina-Buda in Sumy oblast. A photo of the fire was published on Facebook of the Desna-Starohutskyi National Nature Park, and photos and videos were also shared by locals and volunteers.

The Ministry of Energy reported that the equipment of the substation caught fire due to the shelling of one of the border areas of Sumy oblast. The fire was extinguished by the State Emergency Service. However, the electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient for the needs of consumers.

Sumy RMA reported that work in the oblast has begun on a comprehensive program of support for veterans – the working version of the document should be formed within two weeks. The program of assistance to veterans will be effective and filled with specific content, its basis, first of all, will be the suggestions and wishes of the veterans themselves.

Chernihiv oblast

SBGS reported that during the past day, the russians shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast 6 times from their territory, a total of 59 explosions were recorded. Two territorial communities were hit by mortar fire: Semenivka – 36 hits, Horodnyanka – 23.

The General Directorate of the National Police of Chernihiv oblast reported that on November 10, the russian military fired barrel artillery at the residential buildings of one of the border villages of the Novhorod-Siverskyi region. No one was injured, but the houses of local residents in the village of Progress of Semenivka hromada were damaged. More than 60 people live in the community, five of them are children.

2,700 pine seedlings were planted in the Krasyliv Forestry on the site that was mined by the russian military in February-March 2022. The trees that grew there were cut down by shells and debris, as result  they withered. It takes 80 years for the seedlings to grow to the size of those that had to be cut down. Sappers, who demined this area, joined in the planting of trees.

Head of Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus announced that orphans and children in difficult life circumstances of the oblast will receive 575 laptops from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). This is not the first shipment from a reliable partner.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council reported that 5 enemy Shaheds were shot down over Dnipropetrovsk oblast. In Pavlohrad, Kamianske, Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih districts. Also, the enemy hit Marhanets community twice with artillery. More than half a dozen shells were fired. The enemy hit one of the districts with UAV. The attack caused a fire which was successfully extinguished by rescuers. 

The Fund for the Elimination of Armed Aggression allocated more than UAH 307 million for Dripropetrovsk oblast communities With these funds six projects will be implemented in Dnipro, Pavlohrad and Mezhiv communities. In particular, a house for displaced people will be built.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia, the families of defenders of Ukraine and concerned residents of the community came to a rally calling for the release of captured Azovstal defenders.

Poltava oblast

The Air Force of Ukraine reported that at night anti-aircraft defense worked in Poltava oblast.

Philip Pronin, Head of Poltava RMA announced that Poltava oblast received two generators for boiler houses of Poltava and Mashiv communities. The capacity of each is 30 kW. They were provided by the regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine. They plan to transfer more.

Cherkasy oblast

The Red Cross Society of Ukraine and the Coca-Cola HBC Ukraine company sent four mobile boiler houses to Uman territorial community of Cherkasy oblast. According to Yurii Hurtovenko, Director of Umanteplokomunenergo Uman utility company, these modern mobile boiler houses will be used in case of heating issues.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On November 10, russian proxies fired 130 times at 27 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhya oblast. 104 artillery attacks took place in Gulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Chervone, Lugovske, Bilohirya, Kamianske, Lobkove, Lukianivske, Pyatikhatki and other frontline settlements.

A married couple was injured as a result of an artillery strike on Mala Tokmachka. The 44-year-old woman was taken to a hospital, while her 48-year-old husband could not be saved.

A modular combined shelter is being installed in the centre of Zaporizhzhia. It is planned to install about 300 such structures in crowded places. These shelters will be funded by private enterprises.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitaliy Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, said that on  November 10, in Mykolaiv oblast, the russian army launched an artillery attack on a settlement in the Kutsurub community. In addition, on the night of  November 11, shelling by russia was recorded in two more settlements of the community. There were no casualties. 

According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv oblast, mine clearance continues in Mykolaiv oblast. On November 10, pyrotechnics worked in the open areas of the Snihurivka community and transported artillery shells found in an irrigation canal to a specially designated place. The SES specialists also improved their skills in working with the Digital Vanguard-S robotic system, which Mykolaiv pyrotechnics recently received with the support of the Government of Canada. In total, as of 11 November, 8,808 reports were processed and 2,178 pieces of ammunition were seized. Over the course of the day, 67 munitions and their remnants were seized.

On November 10, volunteers from the charity organisation Help Ukraine Gothenburg donated a fire truck to the Novomariivka community. We would like to remind you that Help Ukraine Gothenburg has repeatedly provided assistance to the Mykolaiv oblast.

Odesa oblast

Oleg Kiper, Head of Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported that there were two hits in Odesa oblast as a result of russian military strikes on the evening of November 10. Three people were injured. A 96-year-old woman was hospitalised and two other elderly people were treated on the spot. A number of private houses, outbuildings, cars and port infrastructure were damaged. The inspection is underway, and a full list of the damage is being established.

The Southern Ukrainian Defence Forces.The russian army continues to be active in the Black Sea. In one day, the occupiers dropped 2 guided aerial bombs into the waters southeast of the coast of Odesa oblast. 

The press service of Odesa City Council reported that soldiers from the 80th Air Assault Brigade from Odesa received an armoured minibus and an all-terrain vehicle for medical evacuation. The vehicles are fully equipped at the request of the military: optical devices, communications equipment, a generator and a solar station, warm clothing, first aid kits, turnstiles, haemostatic agents and other necessary equipment. 

In Odesa, volunteers are making stoves for the military: they have developed their own design to reduce the cost of production. They make the stoves in a garage. The founder of the workshop, Igor Romanov, said that the production of stoves has become more important due to the onset of cold weather.

Exactly one year ago, on  November11 2022, Kherson was liberated from occupation. This is an extremely important and significant day for all Kherson residents. A meeting of Kherson residents took place at the Unity Festival in Shevchenko Park in Odesa. During the event, people took part in a blitz, a flash mob called ‘Palms of Support’ and a masterclass called ‘Angels for Kherson’. According to the organiser, about forty people joined the event.

Kherson oblast

The downtown Kherson was shelled by russian troops around 15:20. Two local residents were injured. 

On November 11, at around 12:35, the russian army carried out a massive shelling of the centre of Kherson. Apartment blocks, private houses, outbuildings and cars were damaged. There were no casualties. On the night of  November 11, russian troops shelled Chornobaivka, Kherson region, with Grad multiple rocket launchers. A 72-year-old man was injured and hospitalised.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on November 10, russian troops fired 121 times at Kherson oblast. The fire broke out at residential areas of the region’s settlements, a checkpoint and a factory in Beryslav region. Two people were killed and eight were injured. 

A year ago, on November 11 2022, Kherson was liberated from occupation by the russian army. On Svobody Square in Kherson, 24 flags of the Armed Forces units that liberated the right-bank Kherson oblast were installed. Among them are the flags of the Armed Forces, the Border Guard Service, the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine. A large flag of Ukraine was placed on the administrative building of Kherson.

Volyn oblast

In Volyn oblast, an autumn camp was held for children from different cities and oblasts of Ukraine who suffered losses and injuries from the russian invasion and occupation thanks to the support of the Gen.Ukrainian non-governmental organization and Volyn RMA.

Zakarpattia oblast

An updated branch of Zakarpattia Regional Center for Complex Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities was opened in Velikyi Bereznyi. IDP families with children with disabilities will now be able to live and undergo family rehabilitation here in comfortable conditions. In total, the institution is ready to accommodate 21 people from among IDPs.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk community, 149 combatants will receive UAH 20K each. And in general, since the beginning of the program, this assistance has already been allocated to 2 968 soldiers for a total amount of UAH 59,34 mln.

Lviv oblast

The Coordinating Center for the Support of the Civilian Population at Lviv RMA held a working meeting with representatives of families of the killed, prisoners of war and missing servicemen, was held in Sambir region.

In Strii region, in the office of the Coordination Center for the Support of the Civilian Population, Solidarites International representatives registered 55 IDPs for financial assistance, a lawyer from the Danish Refugee Council provided 9 individual legal consultations and held a group information session for 27 people, employees of Strii Employment Center provided assistance to 21 IDPs consultations on job search issues.

The RMA reported that relatives of servicemen and volunteers from Zolochiv region visited the Ladomyria ethnopark.

The RMA reported that at the charity fair, the team of Chornushovytskyi Gymnasium and local residents collected about UAH 60K for soldiers from the community who are currently on the front lines.

Oleksandr Sozanskyi, defender of Ukraine from Sambor, was posthumously awarded with the 3th degree Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. During the full-scale war, he commanded the fire support company of the 80th separate amphibious assault brigade, he was killed on February 17, 2023 in a battle with the invaders near the city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk oblast.

Rivne oblast

21 families of military personnel from Rivne oblast and IDPs will receive their own housing. The oblast received subventions in the total amount of UAH 43,4 mln for the purchase of apartments for those who are registered in communities.

An Alley of Memory and Life was planted in Rivne thanks to the Greening of the Planet project.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that over 120 defenders in Kherson oblast have already been treated by medics from the City Communal Dental Polyclinic.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Netishyn City Military Administration reported that they sent 17 kamikaze drones to a combat unit which was located in a hot spot on the front line.

Chernivtsi oblast

Teachers and students of the Gymnasium #16 received a flag from Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is a gift for active help to the Ukrainian military.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense reported that they sent 2 NASAMS launchers and vehicles required for the crews of missile systems to Ukraine. The total amount of assistance is €1 billion. An additional package for complex maintenance was provided by the Norwegian Ministry of Defense.

The Canadian government is asking the parliament to provide a new $362 mln military aid package to Ukraine. This is stated in the budget document submitted by the government to the House of Commons. According to the document, this amount will be allocated for firearms, cameras for drones, as well as pilot training and tank maintenance.

Estonia and Iceland sent Ukraine a field hospital and transport provided by Germany.

Oksen Lisovyi, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, announced that Germany allocated about EUR 10 mln for the creation of Ukrainian centers of advanced research in Kyiv, Lviv and Kharkiv.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Arvydas Anushauskas, Defense Minister of Lithuania. They discussed further defense cooperation between countries.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Timothy Barrow, British Prime Minister’s national security advisor. They discussed results of the 3rd meeting of national security advisers and political advisers in Malta regarding the implementation of points of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and progress in preparation for the Global Peace Summit.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Jake Sullivan, national security advisor to the President of the United States of America. They discussed, in particular, the implementation of the Peace Formula.

They discussed preparations for the next meeting of national security advisers on the restoration of a stable and just peace based on the Ukrainian peace formula.

Andrii Sybiha, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, met with Alessia Schiavon, newly appointed Head of the Representation of the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine. They discussed key directions of the IOM’s activities in the country, current priorities, and confirmed their respective intentions to continue supporting war-affected people and communities in Ukraine.

At the end of November, Lithuania will start exchanging residence permits for Ukrainian refugees. The digital temporary residence permit, introduced in January this year, is valid until March 4, 2024. However, due to the EU’s decision to extend temporary protection for people fleeing the war in Ukraine for at least one more year, the migration department plans to start replacing it.
