It has been the 372nd day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy launched 24 airstrikes at Ukrainian positions and 3 missile attacks at Chasiv Yar, Donetsk oblast and Zaporizhzhia. Following the terrorist act, civilian homes were damaged and there were casualties among civilians. 

The invaders also launched 55 MLRS hits at civilian infrastructure of Ulanove, Sumy oblast. Ukraine is still under the threat of missile strikes. 

Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk and Sloboda, the situation has not significantly changed. Enemy troops are stationed near the state border of Ukraine. They continue constructing defensive positions. No offensive enemy groups were detected. The invaders fired from mortars and artillery at the settlements of Ryzhivka, Khotin, Stetskivka, Slavhorod, Sumy oblast and in the vicinity of 15 settlements of Kharkiv oblast, including Krasne, Hlyboke, Vesele, Vovchansk, Ohirtseve, Strilecha. 

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, the enemy conducted the unsuccessful offensive towards Bilohorivka, Kreminna, Luhansk oblast and Spirne, Donetsk oblast. The invaders fired from artillery at 17 settlements, including Dvorichna,  Lyman Pershyi, Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, Kharkiv oblast; Makiivka, Kreminna, Luhansk oblast and Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast. 

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy has still been on the offensive. They are assaulting Bakhmut. Ukrainian defenders repelled the attacks in the vicinity of Bakhmut, Khromove and Ivanivske, Donetsk oblast. Vasiukivka, Zaliznianske, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv yar, Kurdiumivka, Dyliivka, Maiorsk and New York were attacked. 

Towards Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk, the enemy is attacking Ukrainian positions. 

The enemy conducted offensive operations towards Kamianka, Sieverne and Mariinka, Donetsk oblast. 15 settlements, including Vesele, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka and Vuhledar, were attacked. 

The enemy is on the defensive towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. They are attempting to conduct offensive operations at some directions. The invaders fired from artillery at 40 settlements, including Novosilka, Vremivka, Donetsk oblast, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia oblast, as well as Vesele, Beryslav, Chornobaivka, Antonivka and Kherson. 

The occupiers enforced opening so-called cadet classes for students starting from the 1st grade at many schools in Kherson oblast. Students have to wear uniforms and have “patriotic” education lessons. Due to the lack of teachers, local pro-russian residents, who have no special education, teach at schools. Most of them are 50-year olds. Under the legal disguise, pursuant to the russian law, they are automatically enrolled to full-time in-person classes to russian higher educational establishments.  

The invaders intensified filtration measures at temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts. FSB officers arrived at the settlements of Pischanivka and Poima, Kherson oblast. They are executing mass search warrants at premises and checking personal phones. They focus on locals whose relatives moved to unoccupied territory of Ukraine. 

Ukrainian aviation launched 13 airstrikes on buildups of manpower and equipment of occupiers. Rocket troops and artillery hit 1 ammunition depot of the invaders.


Serhii Naiev, head of the Joined Forces of Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports that air defense forces hit 80% of targets. He also added that the enemy changed their strategy. The Armed Forces of Ukraine analyze every attack and make the decisions to ensure high resilience and precision of the air defense.  

Andrii Demchenko, spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, advises that the information on Ukrainian sabotage groups on the russian territory has no basis behind it. This is the aggressor’s groundless accusation. The situation on the russian border is tense, but  under control. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that russian troops shelled at least 13 settlements. The invaders attacked with mortars and artillery.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as a result of shelling of Vovchansk the day before, private buildings were damaged.

Head of the Kupiansk Regional Military Administration, Andrii Kanashevych, announced that a mandatory evacuation has been announced in Kupiansk region for children and people with limited mobility, while adults will be evacuated voluntarily. This applies to the city, 10 settlements of Vilkhuvata community, Dvorichna and Petropavlivka communities.

Head of the Kupiansk RMA, Andrii Kanashevych, reported that a 74-year-old woman from Podoly village, Kupiansk region, was killed in her own yard during an MRLs attack.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, informed that yesterday, settlements of Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv districts were under enemy attack.

The enemy shelled Kupiansk, Kivsharivka and Velykyi Burluk villages, Krasne, Hlyboke, Strilecha, Chervona Zoria and other settlements with cannon artillery, MRLs and mortars. In Budarky village, the enemy used a UAV with combat cargo.

Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged.

An administrative building was damaged in Kindrashivka village, Kupiansk region, as a result of shelling from multiple rocket launchers.

Mine danger remains very high. Mine clearance is underway. Pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 17 explosive ordnance. On the territory of Izium forestry near Spivakivka village, an employee of the forestry and 3 other men, who were traveling with him in a car, blew up on an anti-tank mine. All four men, aged 21, 39, 43 and 54, died on the spot.

Donetsk oblast

Head of Kurakhove City Military Administration, Roman Padun, said that about 1300 children remain in the community.

Yesterday, russian troops shelled 11 settlements. Avdiivka was shelled ten times with aircraft, Grad systems and artillery. Russians shelled Kurakhove with Uragan rocket launchers and Bakhmut with rocket artillery.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops continue to advance towards Bakhmut. The enemy is assaulting the city.

Referring to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, near Bakhmut, border guards eliminated five russian invaders and injured four.

Towards Donetsk, russians were actively shooting at Ocheretyne community: two buildings and an administrative building were damaged in Lastochkyne, a building, a shop and a church were damaged in Orlivka. In the morning, there were airstrikes on Lastochkyne and Sieverne. There was periodic shelling in Marinka community, in Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka and Heorhiivka. In Avdiivka, there were isolated attacks on old and central parts of the city overnight.

Towards Horlivka, 1 person was injured, residential buildings and a shop were damaged in Bakhmut. A building in New-York was damaged and there was shelling on the outskirts of Chasiv Yar community. In Soledar community, Dubovo-Vasylivka and Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Vasiukivka, Fedorivka and Rozdolivka were shelled.

Towards Lysychansk, in Siversk buildings on 4 streets were damaged. There were 12 attacks on Torske and Zarichne of Lyman community and shelling of the outskirts of Zvanivka community.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, said that yesterday russians killed 1 civilian. Another 5 people were injured. He noted that about 5,000 people, including 37 children, still remain in Bakhmut.

Mariupol Mayor’s councilor, Petro Andriushchenko, informed that the invaders have set up checkpoints on the outskirts of Mariupol. They are checking passports, registration, filtration and phones.

Luhansk oblast

Yesterday, the enemy conducted offensive actions near Kreminna and Bilohorivka towards Kupiansk and Lyman but had no success. Russians shelled Stelmakhivka, Chervonopopivka, Nevske, Kuzemivka, Makiivka, Kreminna, Bilohorivka and Dibrova with artillery.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, noted that the situation is the most complicated in Kreminna. One or two enemy combat vehicles supporting Terminator tanks are still operating in this area. One such vehicle was recently destroyed there and T-90M tanks are also involved. Russians also employed a large amount of heavy equipment in Luhansk oblast but were unable to use it fully in the winter. The weather is now in our favor.

Referring to the Luhansk RMA, SBU special forces destroyed 6 more russian tanks overnight. Two groups of officers from the SBU A Special Operations Centre organized a night hunt in Luhansk sector. After accurate work with attack drones, the enemy’s equipment was completely destroyed.

The regional administration also reported that voting in the elections in the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” was allowed without a russian passport, people from Kreminna and Svatove are being moved to Sievierodonetsk and invaders are ruining harvests of unregistered farmers.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Another burial of civilians killed as a result of russian military aggression was found in Borodianka. Andriy Nebytov, head of the Kyiv Regional Police informed that the bodies of three men will be taken to a forensic expert for appropriate examinations. According to him, the bodies had injuries similar to bullet wounds.

“Since liberation of the oblast, law enforcement officers have found the bodies of 1,373 civilians killed as a result of russia’s invasion of Ukraine,” said the head of the Kyiv police. More than 700 people were killed by small arms, and almost 350 died of mine injuries. The bodies of 197 people remain unidentified.

In Kyiv oblast, more than 600 people have turned to the ‘Liut’ (‘Rage’) brigade, which is part of the offensive guard, and over 400 have filled out application forms. New recruits will have to undergo physical and intellectual training competitions and pass relevant tests. According to Andriy Nebytov, only a limited number of people will be enlisted to the ‘Liut’ brigade, but the exact number is not disclosed due to security considerations.

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will soon begin a large-scale reconstruction of 18 high-rise apartment buildings damaged during russia’s full-scale invasion. These are the buildings in Borodianka, Irpin, Hostomel, and the villages of Myla and Buzova. Financial support in the amount of USD 18 million will be provided by the Restoration of Destroyed Property and Infrastructure Fund of the UNITED24 fundraising platform. The project will allow nearly 4,000 residents of Kyiv oblast to return to their homes destroyed by hostilities.

The Kyiv City State Administration reported that a new warning system based on the US and German models has been tested in Kyiv. With its backup equipment, the new system can operate for about a week without a power supply. First 15 points were tested in Desnianskyi district of the city. A total of 630 such systems are planned to be installed in the capital by the end of 2024.

Five more fire stations with round-the-clock crews and equipment will be set up in Kyiv, according to a decision made by the Kyiv City Council. This will help improve the protection of Kyiv residents and visitors from fires and emergencies that can occur during a full-scale war. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko, the capital received 36 modern fire trucks as a donation from foreign partners.

62 children from Kyiv oblast went on a vacation to Bistrica, Romania. These are children from Ivankiv, Petriv, Baryshiv, Pirniv and Polissia territorial communities who need special attention and support. The trip was made possible with the support of the Romanian charity organization Fight for Freedom.

Zhytomyr oblast

The operation of streetcars, which have not been operating since late fall 2022 due to a power shortage, was resumed in Zhytomyr. The number of electric vehicles on the route will be reduced by half. Previously, 12 streetcars ran in the city.

Children from Zhytomyr Lyceum #4 learned how to act in critical situations and protect their lives and health. Safety lessons, drawing contests, and themed quests were organized for kids, while high school students were taught how to provide first aid, extinguish fires, and deal with mines. A full-length documentary movie, The Effect of Presence, filmed by military correspondents of the central television and radio studio of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, was broadcast in Zhytomyr. According to the film’s director, Vasyl Solovy, the film includes archive videos and stories of participants in the events that took place during the full-scale russian invasion, from the first battles for Kyiv to winter events in Donbas.

Sumy oblast

Sumy RMA reported that the russian military shelled 5 territorial communities of the oblast: Nova Sloboda, Krasnopillia, Esman, Shalyhine, and Bilopillia. The enemy used mortars and barrel artillery. Overall, there were 31 attacks recorded.

At night, 30 enemy attacks were recorded on the territory of Nova Sloboda, Bilopillya, Khotyn, Seredyno-Bud, and Sumy communities. As a result of shelling of Sumy region, a power line was damaged and 679 consumers in the border communities were disconnected from electricity.

As part of counter-sabotage operations in Sumy oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a russian informant spying on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the border with russia. Law enforcers revealed that the man started gathering information about the locations of the Defense Forces after February 24 last year. The informant passed the data to his curator during personal meetings in russia. At the man’s place of residence, law enforcement officers found a russian passport, mobile phones, and pro-Kremlin symbols.

Sumy oblast has gained the support of the United States Agency for International Development: the regional government signed a memorandum with Timothy Madigan, director of the USAID Economic Support for Eastern Ukraine project. The document provides for the restoration of infrastructure, expansion of economic opportunities, business support, and attraction of additional resources for socio-economic development of the region.

Chernihiv oblast

The Chernihiv Border Guard unit reported that on March 1, russians fired on two communities in Chernihiv oblast. One 120-mm mortar shell was recorded in Semenivka community, and nine mortar bombs were recorded in Horodnya community.

The enemy continues intense shelling of border communities. Volodymyr Nidzelskyi, the head of the National Police in Chernihiv oblast, informed that today, the russians were shelling the territory of Semenivka community for five hours using barrel artillery and mortars. According to him, civilians suffer the most from enemy artillery strikes, their houses, outbuildings and property are damaged or destroyed. Several settlements are still without power supply.

The Chernihiv Regional Military Administration reported that as a result of military aggression in Chernihiv oblast, a total of 1,773 civilians suffered, 657 of them were killed and 1,116 were wounded. There are 24 children killed and 62 wounded. During active hostilities in the oblast, 9 medical workers were killed and 16 were wounded.

In Chernihiv oblast, 28 facilities of 13 medical institutions damaged as a result of the russian invasion have been restored. 16 facilities in 10 institutions were partially repaired. According to Viacheslav Chaus, head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the total cost of the work amounted to almost UAH 138 million. 6 medical facilities in 5 institutions require restoration.

According to the Chernihiv Regional Medical Center, Chernihiv Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine received a modern 24 kW generator. The assistance came from UNICEF.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, announced that Nikopol and Chervonohryhorivka communities were hit with heavy artillery. Shelling damaged a kindergarten, three shops, and a pharmacy in Nikopol. Eight five-story buildings, garages and cars, electricity networks, and water supply were also damaged in the city. The occupiers attacked Nikopol region five times. Four local communities, Pokrovsk, Marganets, Chervonohryhorivka, and Myrove, were shelled from heavy artillery. Two private houses, two cars and a garage in one of the villages of the Marhanets community were damaged due to shelling. 

Vinnytsia oblast

​​The Vinnytsia City Council reported that 20  invincibility centers in the city received financial support and useful boxes from the Community Foundation “Podilska hromada”. This became possible thanks to the grant competition, in which non-profit organizations responsible for invincibility center operation took part.

About 4 tons of humanitarian aid was collected for Ukrainian defenders by the residents of Kalyniv community. Such cargo is sent to the front line in Donetsk oblast every week. The military usually makes orders and locals deliver to their needs everything from goodies to cars and drones. 

Kirovohrad oblast

After two weeks of work in newly reclaimed territories, the medical team from Kropyvnytskyi returned home. Serhii Bulatsel, paramedic of the regional center of emergency medical assistance, reported that fear is present, but there was no thought of refusing to go to help people in liberated territory. He was part of the brigade that returned from Mykolaiv oblast.

The Kirovohrad Regional State Administration reported that medical institutions of the oblast received 43 portable ECG recorders from UNICEF. The material base of hospitals was replenished as part of the project “Rapid response in Kirovohrad oblast to meet the needs of children and their guardians, including internally displaced persons who suffered due to the war in Ukraine”, implemented by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in partnership with the Safe Future Charity Fund.

Poltava oblast

12 houses were damaged in the village of Kryvushi, Pischansk community, where the “Shahed” UAV fell on the night of February 28 to March 1. Deputy head of the community Roman Nazarenko informed about this after inspection of the special commission, which took place on March 2. Currently, the house owners are clearing the rubble and the commission records the damage.

Cherkasy oblast

Maksym Osadchuk, a forensic specialist from Cherkasy, received training in Poland on documenting war crimes. 20 police officers from different regions of Ukraine took part in the training.

The Chyhyryn community received humanitarian aid from the International Solidarity Fund of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine. According to the project co-financed as part of Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the community received 15 generators with a capacity of 3.8 kW, 5 stoves, 5 smoke pipes (donation from the company PUH King-Sten-Trans Piotr Stępień), 5 chimney knees (donation from PUH King-Sten-Trans Piotr Stępień) etc.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Yuriy Malashko, at night, the occupiers attacked the center of Zaporizhzhia. A multi-storey building was hit. The 3rd, 4th, 5th floors were destroyed. Rescue operations are underway. The bodies of two victims were pulled out of the rubble, and rescuers are trying to get another body. Six people were injured, including a woman six weeks pregnant, and 11 people were rescued. All victims were provided with medical and social and psychological assistance. There is still a possibility that nine missing persons are still alive but under the rubble.

According to the report of the National Security Service in Zaporizhzhia oblast, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of  the settlements of  Zaporizhzhia, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Malynivka, Bilohiria, Novoandriivka, Olhivske, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Chervone, Charivne, Kamianske, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky.

27 reports were received about destruction of houses (apartments) of citizens and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.

According to the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, yesterday, in two districts of the occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, there were explosions. There was an explosion at the Melitopol airfield, a military base that was one of the first to be captured during the invasion on February 24, 2022. An oil depot near Polohy was on fire as well.

In Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia region, russian invaders, with the involvement of local collaborators, are conducting propaganda activities to highlight the fake “advantages” of the so-called “russian authorities” coming to the region and justifying their legitimacy.

According to the  National Resistance Center, the occupation “administration” of Zaporizhzhia region has a two-month “salary” debt to local state employees. Teachers, doctors, railroad workers and postmen are not getting paid. The “authorities” promise to solve all issues as soon as possible, but the social crisis in the region, which is beneficial to the Kremlin, is getting worse. In the future, local residents may be taken to russia under the pretext of “evacuation” and russian citizens may be brought to the occupied territories.

The enemy is terrorizing the population in Enerhodar. Due to the presence of russian weapons on the territory of the plant, the risk of a nuclear disaster remains.

According to the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Yuriy Malashko, there are civilians in the frontline towns, which are shelled on a daily basis, and infrastructure is being destroyed. People do not leave for various reasons: they provide assistance to their relatives in bed, there are doctors and authorities providing services to local residents.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to the “South” Operational Command, on Kinburn Spit, missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed three units of russian equipment.

Israeli doctors together with volunteers provide medical care to the affected residents of Mykolaiv region. Recently, together with volunteers of the Phoenix Group Charitable Foundation, they returned from a trip to Voznesensk (Mykolaiv oblast). In Mykolaiv region, the doctors conducted an initial examination of people, provided first aid, medicines, and in complicated cases, consultations and advice. Upon their arrival in Kyiv, the doctors formed personal first aid kits for the patients they examined and sent them to the patients.

Volunteers of the Rotary Club of Mykolaiv donated a mobile surgical X-ray machine Siemens Cios 1 to the Mykolaiv Regional Children’s Hospital. This equipment will reduce the cost and time of operations. It can be used not only in traumatology, but also in heart and vascular surgery. The Cios 1 C-arc was donated to the hospital as part of a joint project between Rotary and Siemens.

Mykolaiv general secondary education institutions received 991 laptops. Ukrainian educators received the computer equipment with the support of the Olena Zelenska Foundation as part of the Global Business Coalition for Education (GBC-Education) initiative and the Digital Asset for Ukraine project by HP and Microsoft. The devices will be used to organize the educational process, including distance learning.

Yesterday, the municipalities of Olshany and Shevchenkovo territorial communities in Mykolaiv oblast received two garbage trucks. This became possible thanks to the support of the Czech company Rumpold UHB, a limited company through the Emergency Response Coordination Center (ERCC) program.

Odesa oblast

According to the Odesa Regional Military Administration, there are four russian missile carriers in the Black Sea, with a total volley of up to 24 “calibers”. Therefore, the level of threats of missile and air strikes on the territory of Odesa region remains high.

The exhibition “Embroidered with Pain” about wartime sexual violence opened at the Odesa railway station. Stories from collective images of people who survived sexual violence during the war were translated into a non-traumatic and accessible language of ornamentation and embroidered on towels. Each story embroidered on a towel is fictional, but it is based on the experiences of real people who have been sexually abused by the russian military and are now on the path to recovery. The Embroidered with Pain art project was created as part of the Women’s Leadership for Ukraine’s Recovery project, funded by the UK Government and implemented by Pact and One Health.

The campaign “Donate Blood – Save a Life” continues in Odesa. The Department of Municipal Security of the Odesa City Council joined the campaign. A collective blood donation was organized by employees of the Municipal Guard. Organized teams of enterprises, companies and many locals are also actively involved in blood donations, and over the year of full-scale war they have donated more than 1700 liters of blood.

Ukraine’s defenders at the front received another batch of reconnaissance drones from the Monster Corporation Foundation. 20 Mavic 3 drones worth UAH 1 million 303 thousand 235 will be sent to those who need these “birds” the most.

Kherson oblast

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, russians attacked a humanitarian aid distribution point in Kherson region. Volunteers of an international organization came to the village of Kozatske, Kakhovka district, to distribute vegetable sets to local residents. While unloading the humanitarian aid, the russian occupiers launched a drone. It dropped explosives on civilians. The attack injured 9 civilians, including a 10th grade student. All victims were taken to the hospital. Four of the wounded are in serious condition. 

According to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, russians shelled the village of Bilozerka in Kherson oblast with artillery. Two people were injured.

According to the “South” Operational Command, in Kherson region, Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners destroyed an occupier’s Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV. The Armed Forces also managed to blow up a russian ammunition depot. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted an attack on the occupiers’ positions on the Kinburn Spit. They managed to destroy three units of russian equipment. Yesterday, the russian army fired 87 times at Kherson region. Almost 500 shells from mortars, multiple rocket launchers, artillery, tanks and UAVs were fired at civilian settlements in the region.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Kherson was attacked by russians twice. Private and apartment buildings were damaged in the city. 

In the past 24 hours, 11 people were wounded in Kherson region as a result of russian shelling, including a one-year-old baby. Glass shards injured the child’s face and ears. The boy is currently in hospital, his life is not in danger.

The Vysokopillya Medical and Health Care Center has received a comfortable car for medical workers. This became possible thanks to cooperation with the international organization Project HOPE. Starting next week, the car will be used to provide medical services to people.

A modular outpatient clinic was set up in the village of Novovoznesenskoye. This became possible thanks to the international organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières. Local residents will now be able to receive medical care in adapted conditions in their own village. This is the eighth modular point in the de-occupied territory of Kherson region.

Volyn oblast

A charity auction of original works by students of the Lutsk Art School was held in the US (Georgia). It was organized by American volunteers of the International Bridge Collective, who visited the school in early February 2023. The funds received during the auction ($4 485) will be used for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Fighters of the special unit Liubart, in which Volyn locals serve, received 200 sets of military uniforms and berets provided by the Lutsk City Council and the Only Together Foundation.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA reported that the Zakarpattia Regional Council renews cooperation with the Ustec Region of the Czech Republic.

Zakarpattia is one of the first regions in the country to be included in the international USAID Project “Improving the work efficiency and accountability of local self-government bodies (HOVERLA)”. The initiative envisages the development of a comprehensive plan for the spatial development of the territory by foreign specialists at the expense of donors.

The RMA reported that with the assistance of international partners, plans to renovate 8 departments of the Regional Center for Complex Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities.

The RMA reported that Zakarpattia will compensate local and relocated entrepreneurs for the purchase of alternative sources of electricity for over UAH 14 million.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the Three Seas diplomatic mission of public diplomacy. The rehabilitation of soldiers and their families was discussed.

In the RMA a meeting with representatives of the Czech organization People in Need was held. They discussed how to provide necessary assistance to IDPs.

The city council of Ivano-Frankivsk reported that the executive committee approved social payments for residents of the community. 54 wounded servicemen will receive UAH 20K each before the anniversary of the war, 8 family members of the fallen will receive payments in the amount of 750K UAH.

The city council of Ivano-Frankivsk reported that the National Guard of Ukraine received aid in the amount of UAH 5 million from the city.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, on the facade of Lyceum #12, an annotation board was opened to the fallen Hero Vasyl Pasitsia. The plaque was opened as part of the Ivano-Frankivsk is the City of Heroes program.

Lviv oblast

A delegation from the Republic of Poland headed by Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Poland Mariusz Kaminski visited Lviv. During the meeting, seven cars (5 KIA and 2 Hyundai) were handed over to the patrol police of Lviv oblast.

At the session of the Lviv City Council, the City program of complex measures for the establishment of the Unbroken National Rehabilitation Center of the First Medical Association of Lviv was approved. In addition, the City program for providing improved nutrition to servicemen undergoing treatment/rehabilitation in health care institutions of the Lviv urban territorial community was approved.

The RMA reported that soldiers of the 80th separate amphibious assault brigade received three Starlinks, purchased using funds from the city budget of Chervonohrad, and about 1,5K energy drinks from a benefactor.

Rivne oblast

Rivne is the first and only city in Ukraine that received a European grant in the amount of UAH 38 million (EUR 973K) and joins the fight against climate change within the framework of the NetZeroCities Pilot Cities Program. This is a two-year program financed by the EU within the framework of the European Union Mission.

The RMA reported that Rivne oblast is the only oblast that formed a defense budget. 52 territorial communities allocated funds for strengthening the border and circular defense of settlements in the oblast.

The RMA held a supervisory board of the project Psychosocial Support in Ukraine with participation of donors of the International Solidarity Fund in Ukraine. They discussed the creation of 4 centers of social and psychological support for military and civilian victims of the war.

The first critically important enterprises were identified in the Rivne RMA. These are four industrial enterprises.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil oblast received 10 new fire trucks purchased at the expense of the state budget and will be sent to the units of the regional emergency department.

Artist Rustam Davletov paints pictures of wounded soldiers in Ternopil hospitals. Earlier the boy handed over his paintings to decorate shelters.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that orders were presented to relatives of servicemen from Khmelnytskyi who fell in combat when defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Magal children’s boarding house received a 13.5 KW generator, lanterns and textiles worth UAH 383K thanks to the NGO Ugledar Development Agency with the financial support of Vostok SOS CF.

The Kadubovets community plans to open a Center for the provision of social services. Specialists of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of Chernivtsi oblast visited the Center to inspect the condition of the premises and found out problematic issues and ways to overcome them. 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Ukrainians from over 70 countries raised $630K for drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The World Congress of Ukrainians, on the initiative of UNITED24, strengthened an army of drones with 30 sets of DJI Matrice 300 RTK. Drones are on the front lines.

Spain allocated €4.1 million for the repair of Leopard 2A4 tanks for Ukraine.

Slovakia considers providing Ukraine with 10 of its 11 MiG-29 aircraft. The final decision on sending MiG-29s to Ukraine will be made within a few days or weeks. Slovakia will become the first NATO member to transfer combat aviation to Kyiv.

French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said that Paris considers sending to Ukraine the first batch of the state’s Mirage main combat aircraft. French instructors are also ready to conduct a training program for Ukrainian pilots in the skies over Warsaw, upon agreement with Poland.

The US President Joe Biden has extended for one year the Emergency Decree on Ukraine and sanctions against russia for the war in Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelensky held his first conversation with new President of Switzerland, Alain Berset. They discussed joint projects in which both countries are interested, and also devoted time to applied issues of implementing the PeaceFormula.

The EU is preparing a plan to quickly supply Ukraine with ammunition for €1 billion. The proposal includes three components, namely the immediate transfer of ammunition, the use of a joint procurement system and the development of Europe’s industrial potential.

The US State Department assured that russia’s suspension of the Strategic Arms Treaty will not weaken its support for Ukraine. According to the representative of the US State Department, Ned Price, Washington will continue to respond to russian aggression exactly as they have outlined it before.

Olaf Scholz promised that Ukraine will receive the next batch of Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery systems and Iris-T systems in the coming weeks. Germany is also working on providing Ukraine with additional ammunition.

Member of the European Parliament, former Prime Minister of Lithuania Andryus Kubilius said that Ukraine can join the EU in 2029. He emphasized that this is the opinion of the members of the European Parliament.

Former NATO general and elected president of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, called for the rapid delivery of weapons to Ukraine.

At the G20 summit, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock appealed to Lavrov: “Stop bombing Ukrainian cities.”

The Foreign Ministry of Argentina called on the russian federation to end the war. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, Santiago Cafiero, emphasized that Argentina condemned the invasion of russia from the very beginning.

“Serbs who were recruited to fight in Ukraine will be arrested when they return home and are within the reach of our institutions,” Serbian President Oleksandr Vucic said.

In Switzerland, four bankers will be tried for helping to hide putin’s millions. This is one of the first court cases in the West that directly concerns assets of the russian president.

Representatives of Canada, Great Britain, the EU, Sweden and NATO took part in the Kyiv Stratcom Forum in Kyiv. Building the capacity of strategic communications was discussed.

According to the international study Global Soft Power Index conducted by Brand Finance, thanks to the successful use of diplomatic tools, Ukraine entered 20 most influential countries in the world.
