It has been the 482nd day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

Russian troops launched an attack on Ukraine using 35 Iranian-made Shahed strike drones, 7 guided missiles of the S-300 air defense system, and 1 ground-launched cruise missile Iskander-M, targeting civilian infrastructure objects in Zaporizhzhia.

32 Shahed strike drones were destroyed with the efforts and resources of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Ukrainian army.

Additionally, the russian army conducted over 72 aerial strikes and carried out 36 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian troops’ positions and populated areas. Civilians have been affected.

Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and air strikes. 

The russian army continues to concentrate its efforts towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka. Within a day, 35 combat clashes took place.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the operational situation remains unchanged.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas with Ukraine. They conducted airstrikes on Yanzhulivka and Leonivka, Chernihiv oblast. They also carried out mortar and artillery shelling of populated areas such as Halahanivka and Karpovychi, Chernihiv oblast, Kondrativka, Brusky, Basivka, Loknia, Yunakivka, Bachivsk, Stepne, Sumy region, as well as Ivashka, Rozhkovychi, Huryiv Kozachok, Udi, Mariino, Vysoka Yaruha, Morokhovets, Ternova, Hatysche, Vovchansk, Budarky, Ustynivka, Chuhunivka, Ambarne, Hryhorivka, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the russian artillery and mortar shelling targeted Fiholivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka, and Berestove, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, the russian army conducted offensive actions towards Kreminna-Yampolivka. Artillery shelling affected Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, russian troops carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Donetsk oblast. Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Bila Hora, Kostiantynivka, Druzhba, and Pivnichne, Donetsk oblast were affected by russian artillery shelling.

Towards Avdiivka, the russian army conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Avdiivka and Severne. They launched unsuccessful offensive actions near Avdiivka. Artillery shelling targeted Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske, Donetsk region.

Towards Mariinka, russian soldiers carried out an aviation strike in the area of Mariinka. At the same time, they shelled Krasnohorivka, Hryhorivka, Mariinka, and Pobieda, Donetsk oblast with artillery fire.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the russian army conducted offensive actions towards Novomykhailivka, but did not succeed. They also shelled the populated areas of Hostre, Paraskoviivka, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the russian army continues defensive operations. They launched aviation strikes in the areas of Storozheve, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, and Makarivka, Donetsk oblast and the city of Zaporizhzhia. Russian troops also carried out artillery shelling of populated areas such as Blahodatne, Neskuchne, Makarivka, Storozheve, Vremivka, Zelene Pole, Novopil, Donetsk oblast; Novodarivka, Levadne, Chervone, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Novoandriivka, Stepove, Piatykhatky, Lobkove, Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia oblast; Zolota Balka, Mykhailivka, Novooleksandrivka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Shliakhove, Kozatske, Mykolaivka, Burhunka, Ivanivka, Sadove, Prydniprovskyi, Naddniprianske, Molodizhne, Zymivnyk, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Kherson, Dniprovskyi, Kizomys, Kherson oblast; and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk oblast, as well as Ochakiv, Mykolaiv oblast.

Russian troops have set up additional checkpoints and filtration points in the populated areas on the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. All civilian population leaving the temporarily occupied southern regions of Ukraine, controlled by the russian army, is forced to pass through the filtration points located in Mangush and Novoazovsk, Donetsk oblast. During the filtration procedures, individuals’ belongings and documents are thoroughly checked, and fingerprints are taken.

The aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted 8 strikes on russian manpower buildup areas and 2 strikes on their anti-aircraft missile complexes. Additionally, the Ukrainian military destroyed 3 reconnaissance UAVs.

The rocket forces and artillery targeted 3 command posts, 1 russian personnel and military equipment concentration area, 3 electronic warfare stations, 17 artillery units in firing positions, 1 air defense system, and another important Russian object during the day.


The Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reports that over five million Ukrainians have applied for temporary resident status in the EU. In total, 8 million Ukrainians became refugees while 5 million applied for temporary protection abroad. 

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko, it was possible to return three of eleven prisoners of war from Hungary to Ukraine. Currently, they are provided with all kinds of support. 

The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed draft laws on the ban of VAT and import duty on components for drones. This bill is the next step towards scaling drone production.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday the enemy continued to shell civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, Bohodukhiv and Izium regions with artillery, mortars and aircraft.  Specifically  Huriv Kozachok, Udy, Chervona Zoria, Kozacha Lopan, Lyptsi, Ternova, Starytsia,  Ohirtseve, Okhrimivka, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Liutivka, Ivashky and other settlements were under russian attack.

As a result of enemy shelling near Kivsharivka and Hlushkivka in Kupiansk region, forest fires broke out.

In Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region, an apartment building and a private building were damaged and a fire broke out as a result of hostile shelling.

Viktor Kovalenko, head of Zolochiv Military Administration, said that Liutivka is partially de-energised after russian shelling. According to him, there was an artillery shelling on 19 June at around 8 pm, damaging buildings and outbuildings.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of Kharkiv RMA, in Izium, an explosive device detonated while a man was burning garbage in his yard. A 52-year-old man was injured. He was hospitalized in moderate condition. A 32-year-old man tripped an anti-personnel mine on the river bank in Oskil, Izium region. He was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of Kharkiv RMA, informed that mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 127 explosive ordnance.

Based on the information provided by Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkivoblenerho specialists have fully restored power supply to Vesele village, Kharkiv region. This village has been without power since the first days of the full-scale russian invasion due to the large-scale destruction caused by the enemy. To restore power to Vesele residents, electricians repaired 10 transformer substations, replaced 3 power transformers and restored about 10 km of high-voltage lines. As a result, all 549 residents of the village now have electricity in their homes.

Donetsk oblast

Yesterday russians injured 5 more civilians : 3 in Chasiv Yar, 1 in Zalizne and Ivanivske. It is currently impossible to establish the exact number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Overnight russians fired at Rai-Oleksandrivka, Mykolaiv community, damaging power lines.

Towards Donetsk, the enemy shelled Kurakhove with artillery in the morning. Avdiivka suffered two rocket attacks, artillery and tank shelling.

Towards Horlivka, Toretsk community was under numerous attacks: 1 person was injured and 2 buildings damaged in Zaliznen and a building damaged in Druzhba. In Soledar community, Vasiukivka and Rozdolivka was under attack. In Kostiantynivka community, 2 buildings were damaged: in Mykolaivka and Chervone.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of Donetsk RMA, reported that towards Lysychansk, 2 buildings were destroyed and 6 more damaged in Torske of Lyman community. 5 buildings in Zvanivka were damaged. 

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of Donetsk RMA said that the regional authorities are trying to restore the destroyed water supply facilities in Donetsk oblast, as the mine water clearance project launched for Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad does not cover the needs of the communities and this water also needs to be saved. 

Donetsk Police informed that Bili Yanholy (White Angels) organisation evacuated a father from Toretsk who is raising his fourth child alone. On the night before the evacuation, russian army struck the city with air bombs.

Luhansk oblast

Serhii Cherevatyi, spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that yesterday there were 21 enemy attacks towards Kupiansk and Lyman. Storm Zed companies were the key attacking force. Our military eliminated 146 invaders and injured another 190. They also destroyed a russian T-72 tank, three BMP-2s and one previously decommissioned BMP-1, an Akatsiia self-propelled artillery system, an ammunition depot and two vehicles that transported it. In total, the enemy used artillery of various calibres and systems 560 times in this area of the frontline and launched eight air raids.

Artem Lysohor, head of Luhansk RMA, reported that the enemy attacked west of Dibrova in Kreminna yesterday, but under pressure from our fighters, russians had no success. The invaders always attack with the support of artillery and quite often aviation. This time, the strikes from the sky targeted Bilohorivka. Stelmakhivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka were under artillery attack.

Artem Lysohor said that in occupied Sievierodonetsk, demonstration repairs carried out by russian crews have been stopped. Almost all brigades from the city destroyed by russians have moved to Donetsk oblast. The only ones left are local workers who are forced to work for almost nothing.

Referring to Artem Lysohor, there is almost no communication in Sievierodonetsk and the collaborators continue to identify places where people are trying to find communication and call their families. Previously, they only identified and controlled such places, but now they are trying to fine the so-called “intruders”. But in the absence of population funds, this practice did not work. Therefore, the invaders began to detain locals when they tried to make calls. According to eyewitnesses, men are sent to the basement for 30 days, women – for 15. This is the price of a call in “russian world”. 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to Kyiv city military administration, almost 20 Shahed drones were detected and shot down above the capital. Employing the usual tactics for massive UAV attacks, the enemy drones entered the capital in waves from different directions. The air alert lasted more than three hours.

Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration informed that non-residential buildings and several private houses were damaged in Kyiv oblast as a result of a nighttime enemy attack. People whose homes were damaged in the attack would be provided with the necessary assistance.

The wreckage of a downed attack drone on the night of 20 June damaged high-voltage power lines in the oblast. Almost five hundred customers were cut off from electricity. Later, experts fully restored the damaged equipment.

According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, more than 330,000 internally displaced persons have been officially registered in the Kyiv region. This is 6 times more than at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.  94 places of compact residence, including 17 modular towns, have been set up for their temporary accommodation.

The European Commission’s External Action Service (EUSBS) has provided the “U-LEAD with Europe Programme” with additional funding of over €5 million to rebuild 12 schools in Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv oblasts and establish 25 Digital Learning Centres within the framework of the “Rebuilding Local Schools for Resilience” programme. The funds will also be used for consultations and training on creating a safe and supportive environment for children’s learning.

Two more streets were renamed by the Kyiv City Council within the framework of de-russification. Hvardiiska Street is now Carpathian Sich Street, and Mykhailo Dragomyrova Street will be dedicated to Andrii Verkhohliad, a major of the 72nd Black Cossacks Brigade, a People’s Hero of Ukraine who died in the russian-Ukrainian war last year on 22 June. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, a total of 316 city facilities have already been renamed in Kyiv.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Security Service of Ukraine in Zhytomyr oblast reported that on 16 June, a warhead from the Uragan multiple rocket launcher system detonated while cultivating a field near the village of Zalissia in the Narodychi community. A plowing complex attached to a tractor was damaged. The tractor driver was not injured.

According to Vitalii Bunechko, Head of Zhytomyr RMA,  communities in Zhytomyr Oblast will receive development support from the German government and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).  The identified areas include the implementation of measures to improve the environment, enhance security and educate young people. Community projects will be funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development via the German Development Bank (KfW). 

The RMA reported that despite the difficult circumstances caused by the war, Zhytomyr oblast continues to organize summer leisure activities for children. 435 camps were operating in the oblast’s educational institutions in June, with about 25,000 school children attending. This year, the network of summer camps and rehabilitation facilities for children has expanded, which indicates that a significant number of children have returned from abroad.

Sumy oblast

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the occupiers shelled 7 communities in the Sumy oblast on June 19, firing 101 times at their territories. The Myropillia, Khotyn, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Yunakivka, Shalyhyn, and Nova Sloboda communities were shelled from artillery, mortars, and AGS, and dropped an F-1 grenade from a UAV. In the Yunakivka community, a mortar shell hit a house in the village of Loknya, killing a 70-year-old woman and injuring a 53-year-old resident. In the Krasnopillia community, two people were wounded, including one child, and a house was damaged. A private house and a garage were damaged in Myropillia community.

At night and in the morning, the enemy continued to attack the regional border with a total of 10 attacks, and 55 strikes. The Bilopillia, Miropillia, Nova Sloboda, and Yunakivka regions were shelled, and the Russians also shelled Esman, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorod communities. The occupiers used artillery and mortars.

A charity dinner in Sumy raised UAH 200,000 for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The event, which took place on 11 June, featured signature dishes from chefs from Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kherson, and Sumy. A charity auction was also held, including a Ukrainian flag signed by Kyrylo Budanov. Funds were raised for the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers of the Azov Regiment and the 3rd Assault Brigade.

Okhtyrka hospital received help from Odesa City Council. The medical institution received surgical devices, syringes, ethanol wipes, etc.

Chernihiv oblast

The “North” operational command reported that the russian military shelled the village of Karpovychi in the Semenivka community in Chernihiv oblast on June 19.  24 arrivals were reported, presumably from a mortar launcher. A residential building and an outbuilding were destroyed.

The “North” operational command reported that on the night of 20 June, the occupiers fired at the border of Chernihiv oblast using unguided aerial missiles (UAMs) and a mortar. Two mortar attacks were recorded in the village of Halahanivka, and 6 and 5 arrivals of UAVs launched from a helicopter were counted in the villages of Yanzhulivka and Leonivka.

The State Emergency Service in Chernihiv region reported that on 19 June, sappers in Chernihiv oblast removed and defused 5 artillery shells. The explosives were found near the village of Terekhivka, Chernihiv oblast, where hostilities took place last year.

A sapper Oleksandr Borysenko, call sign “Kraken”, who was undergoing treatment abroad after being seriously injured, has returned to Chernihiv. The news was posted on Patron the dog’s page, which was the first place where the sapper’s injury was reported last winter. The Chernihiv resident lost his leg while performing a combat mission in the city of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region.

Talalaivka community sent humanitarian aid to residents of Kherson oblast. The residents of Talalaivka raised UAH 60,000 and bought the necessary food for the cargo. Local educational, cultural, and medical institutions joined the collection.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The russian army attacked one of the villages of the Myrove community late at night.

Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, spokesman for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, reported that more than 30 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk oblast are currently deprived of centralised water supply due to the russians` explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. To provide water to residents of Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih regions, the State Emergency Service has organised the delivery of drinking and industrial water. The operation involves 28 SES tankers. Rescuers have already brought 7,000 tonnes of water, including 400 tonnes of drinking water.

An exhibition of digitized exhibits from the Mariupol Museum was made in Dnipro. The originals were destroyed by the russians. The exhibition featured stands with digital copies of exhibits representing Greek cultural heritage.

The defender from Dnipro, who lost both legs at the front, became the first in Ukraine to have a prosthesis implanted in his bone. Currently, Ihor Krupnov is still undergoing rehabilitation in Lviv, but he can already stand on his new legs.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​ A prisoner of war from Vinnytsia was sentenced to 15 years in prison by a court of the so-called ‘Luhansk People’s Republic’. Vladyslav stood up for Ukraine in 2014. After the start of the full-scale invasion, he was taken prisoner and has been held for over a year. Yulia Pryimak, Head of the Central Office of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, called on the international community to respond to such criminal actions by russia.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, displaced artist Anna Nevtyra is raising money to evacuate her fellow countrymen from the occupied Kherson oblast. The artist has created 32 paintings and organized an exhibition of paintings in Kropyvnytskyi to raise money from their sale and send them to people who are currently living on the temporarily occupied part of the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson oblast.

Poltava oblast

On 27 June, a memorial event was planned in Kremenchuk, Poltava oblast, at the site of the deaths following the russian missile attack on the Amstor shopping centre on 27 June 2022.  The attack killed 21 people and one person was reported missing. On 10 April 2023, the court declared missing Larysa Kokhanivska dead.

Cherkasy oblast

A delegation from France visited Uman. The guests visited educational, medical, and social protection institutions, checked out the living conditions of IDPs, the arrangement of shelters in educational institutions, the work of medical facilities, and brought humanitarian aid: medical equipment, hygiene products, food, clothing, medical supplies, and household appliances.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the Defense ForcesUkrainian troops are succeeding towards Melitopol and Berdiansk, consolidating their positions. 

Today, on June 20, at 12:20 a.m., the russian army fired on the town of Komyshuvakha in Zaporizhzhia district. There were no casualties.

Over the past day, on June 19, Russian troops fired at 19 localities in Zaporizhzhia region. A 54-year-old resident of Orikhiv was wounded, the Zaporizhzhya military commissariat reported.

In Zaporizhzhia region, the water level in the lower reaches of the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant is 12.72 meters, which is 1.78 meters below the normal level. In general, since the russians blew up the Kakhovka HPP, the water level in the lower pool has dropped by 4.44 meters. 

Kyrylo Budanov, Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported that the russian military additionally mined Zaporizhzhya NPP. The explosives were placed on the plant’s cooler.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that during a nighttime russian army’s attack on Mykolaiv oblast, air defense forces destroyed three Shahed-131/136 combat unmanned aerial vehicles. Prior to that, artillery shelling of the coastal and port areas of Ochakiv took place once again, but there were no casualties. Due to the fall of drone debris, power grids were damaged and 2 settlements were cut off.

Today, on June 20, the event “Side by Side with the Ukrainian People” dedicated to World Refugee Day was held in Chestnut Square in Mykolaiv. The event featured a variety of musical, choreographic and theatrical performances. The actors showed a whole range of feelings that arise in a person who is forced to leave and become a refugee: from fear and disappointment to confidence in the victory of our country. 

Odesa oblast

The Ananievo community of Odesa region has handed over another off-road vehicle to the Ukrainian Armed Forces to perform combat missions. According to Yuriy Tyshchenko, Head of the community, the vehicle was handed over to a combat unit from the 28th Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.

Drones capable of destroying expensive equipment of the occupiers are being created in Odesa region. The main focus of the foundation’s work is to provide the military with Dji and other brands of drones. These drones primarily help in reconnaissance, but they can also be used as a system for dropping shells.

The abbess of the Odesa Holy Archangel Michael Convent of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is on a visit to Switzerland. In Zurich, she visited the Orthodox St. Andrew’s Church, where she prayed together with Ukrainians in Switzerland for Ukraine’s victory in the war and for the speedy return of peace to Ukraine.

Kherson oblast

As of 15:00 on June 20, the water level in the Kherson region is 0.3 meters. Three settlements on the right bank of the Dnipro River – 595 houses – remain flooded.

According to the State Emergency Service, since the beginning of the day, June 20, rescuers have pumped water out of 223 basements and houses. They have also delivered more than 29 tons of water to the citizens. 

Holoprystan CMA reported that in the Holoprystan community, most of the houses in the villages of Kardashynka and Kohany remain flooded. The water level in the flooded parts of Hola Prystan is 50 cm or more. On the streets of the flooded parts of the community, there are still corpses of animals and livestock that died as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant by russian troops. 

Russian military attacked Kherson in the morning, on June 20. A 27-year-old man was killed. russian shells hit houses, a kindergarten, a school and a service station.

In Kherson, the russian army fired artillery at rescuers who were clearing silt. One employee of the State Emergency Service was killed and eight injured.

Russian troops massively shelled Beryslav, Kakhovka and Kherson districts, firing at civilian settlements with artillery, multiple rocket launchers, mortars, tanks, aircraft and UAVs.

The russian ocuparies shelled the village of Burhunka with artillery, damaging private houses, the village council building, and a church, and wounding two local residents. A 64-year-old woman was seriously wounded during an enemy tank shelling of Shlyakhove village.

The village of Kozatske in Kakhovka district came under russian army’s air attack. The explosions of guided bombs damaged residential buildings, a car, and injured two local residents.

According to Zaporizhzhia Oblast Police Department, throughout the day, explosions were heard in Kherson, and russian occupation forces shelled the coastal areas of the city, the center and the Korabel neighborhood from the left bank of the Dnipro River. Fires broke out at the sites of the hits, damaging buses in the fleet, trucks, gas stations, and warehouses, and shattering windows and balconies in the surrounding residential buildings.

The General Staff reported that on June 19, the russian army fired on 10 settlements on the right bank of the Kherson region – Beryslav, Tomaryne, Kozatske, Burgunka, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Kherson, Dniprovske, Kizomys, and Sofiyivka. 

On June 19, the russian army fired 57 times at Kherson region. They fired 28 shells at Kherson. Administrative buildings in the regional center and Burgunka, a gas station and a utility company in Kherson were damaged. Five people were wounded. This was reported by the head of Kherson RMA Oleksandr Prokudin.

Andriy Kovalev, spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that on the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson region, at checkpoints near Oleshky, russian military are checking vehicles and taking away humanitarian aid. It is brought by volunteers for the residents of the town affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station.

Kherson region received generators and agricultural machinery from American volunteers Howard G. Buffett Foundation and Global Empowerment Mission. The benefactors brought food packages and water for people affected by the flooding.

Volyn oblast

The RMA reported that another humanitarian aid, namely, drinking water and food, was sent to Kherson oblast thanks to the Swedish Assistance Center CF.

Lutsk City Council sent three DJI MAVIC 3 Fly more combo quadcopters and a Starlink satellite modem for the needs of the A7086 military unit, which performs combat missions to protect Ukraine’s independence from russian invasion.

Zakarpattia oblast

Volunteers from the city of Graz (Austria) donated an ultrasound machine with system equipment, a medical couch and medicines, to Uzhhorod City Children’s Clinical Hospital. A large batch of humanitarian aid, including tactical medical shoulder bags, will be taken by volunteers to Kherson and Chernihiv oblasts.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA reported that as part of the Care for the Hero’s Family social project with the support of the Children’s Dream of Ukraine public organization, 20 children whose parents were killed in the war went to a children’s camp in Zakarpattia. This is already the third camp organized within the framework of this project.

Lviv oblast

During the air alert around 5 am, the enemy attacked Lviv. Three shahedis aimed at a critical infrastructure facility. There are three hits. Damaged ceiling, broken windows. There are no victims or injured. There was a fire. Specialists of the State Emergency Service worked quickly.

The RMA held a meeting with trade advisers of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Ukraine. Investments in Lviv oblast were discussed.

202 units of Mavic 3 and FPV drones; 2 educational complexes, which include drones, antennas, remote controls and special glasses; 2 anti-drone guns were sent from Lviv oblast thanks to Lviv Regional Territorial Center for Completing and Social Support and the Dobro.Diia CF within the framework of the Birds of Victory project.

Eight institutions that sheltered IDP children received modern computer equipment within the scope of the Democratic Governance in Eastern Ukraine and New Horizons for Children in Ukraine USAID projects. In total, 61 laptops worth UAH 1.5 million were sent to institutions.

Over 150 children from Donetsk oblast came to Lviv for rehabilitation. Sports games, master classes, and excursions await them. Over the course of the summer, within the framework of the Know Lviv oblast project planned to cover about 1K children with rehabilitation.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne regional hospital for war veterans, soldiers injured at the front are treated with the help of dogs. The Canister therapy in the medical facility began to be practiced relatively recently. Psychologists say that communication with four-legged animals has a positive effect on the emotional state of defenders.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil RMA signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Swiss-Ukrainian project Cohesion and Regional Development of Ukraine, UCORD, Ternopil Region Regional Development Agency (ARD), Ternopil Regional Council and Ternopil RMA. The goal is to establish close cooperation and consolidate efforts aimed at the recovery and development of Ternopil oblast.

Communal workers of Buchatka community went to Kherson. Together with colleagues from other oblasts, they work on clearing territories, collecting and removing garbage, and repairing sewage networks. Berezhansk, Vyshnievetsk, and Zbaraz communities also joined the rally in support of Kherson oblast from Ternopil oblast.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that from June 20 to 22, under the leadership of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a command and staff exercise with the administration bodies of the civil defense of Khmelnytskyi oblast on readiness to perform assigned tasks is being held.

Chernivtsi oblast

Coordination centers for the support of the civilian population have begun work under the district military administrations. The activity of centers will be aimed at solving social protection issues, promoting the employment of the affected population, and providing psychosocial, medical and legal assistance.

4 tonnes of humanitarian cargo, namely, essential items and inventory for clearing operations, were delivered from Chernivtsi oblast to Kherson oblast. In total, Bukovy residents sent over 250 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Kherson oblast.

The soldier of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade of the 105th battalion, the physical education teacher of Lyceum # 18, Rostislav Hnylozobu, was sent to the front by a drone. Funds for it were collected by various schools, gymnasiums and lyceums during charity events.

A memorial plaque to Dmytro Hancheriuk was opened in Novoselytsk. The soldier was killed on March 22, 2022, in the village of Baryshivka, Kyiv oblast, defending Ukraine from invaders. A commemorative plaque was installed on the wall of Novoselytsk Lyceum # 2. The right to open was granted to sister Olena and his son Mykola.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Karolina Lindholm Billing, representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, reported that the number of Ukrainian refugees abroad is 6.3 million, and most of them are children and women.

Dmytro Lubinets, Commissioner for Human Rights, reported that over 5 million Ukrainians have applied for temporary resident status in the EU.

Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, announced that Denmark approved a new package of military aid for €2.95 billion for 2023-2028.

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, stated that they plan to allocate €50 billion in financial aid to Ukraine in the form of grants and loans for the next 4 years.

Norway allocates over €21 million for nuclear safety in Ukraine. In particular, 100 million kroner is allocated to support the work of experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Ukraine. In addition, Norway is increasing funding for cooperation with Ukraine in the field of nuclear security by 150 million kroner.

Anthony Blinken, US Secretary of State, announced a new “powerful package” of aid to Ukraine. “President Biden said… that we will be with Ukraine as long as it takes, and both of our countries are deeply committed to that,” he said.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported in 2023, as part of the EU Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine, it is planned to train 30K servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces. The EU mission unites 28 states.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, and Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Denmark. They discussed necessary efforts to consolidate support for Ukraine by the countries of the Global South. In particular, regarding the involvement of these countries in the implementation of the 10-step Peace Formula.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. They discussed further financial support for Ukraine and prospects for the adoption of the 11th package of EU sanctions against russia.

On the eve of World Refugee Day on June 20, over 40 companies announced that they will provide jobs or train a total of 250K refugees, including Ukrainians, of whom 13 680 will work directly in the companies.
