It has been the 496th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian forces launched a missile attack on civilians at Pervomaiskyi city, Kharkiv oblast. There were 35 airstrikes and about 50 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian cities and Ukrainian Armed Forces. As a result of the russian terrorist attacks, civilians were injured, houses, commercial and administrative buildings, as well as cars were damaged.

The threat of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

The russian army continues to focus its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka, heavy battles are raging on. There were 30 combat clashes during the day. 

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. There is no signs of offensive groups formed.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian forces made unsuccessful attempts to penetrate with a sabotage group across the state border of Ukraine, but suffered losses and retreated. To cover the retreat, the sabotage group used barrel and rocket artillery.More than 15 settlements were shelled, namely Karpovychi, Mykhalchyna Sloboda, Chernihiv oblast; Seredyno-Buda, Vovkivka, Sumy oblast and Odnorobivka, Udy, Vovchansk, Okhrimivka, Zemlianka, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the russian forces tried to advance south of Novoselivske, Luhansk oblast. Ukrainian Armed Forces stand firmly, repelling all enemy attacks. Odradne, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupiansk, Masiutivka, Kislivka, Kharkiv oblast were shelled.

Towards Lyman, supported by aviation, the enemy made attempts to knock out Ukrainian troops from their positions west of Novovodiane and south of Dibrova, Luhansk oblast, albeit without success. More than 10 settlements, namely Nevske, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast and Verkhnekamianse, Berestove, Vesele, Rozdolivka, Donetsk Oblast, were shelled by artillery.

Towards Bakhmut, under heavy fire from the enemy’s aircraft and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks near Bohdanivka, Donetsk oblast. Ukrainian forces continue to carry out offensive operations south and north of Bakhmut, while equipping positions at the achieved boundaries. More than 15 settlements were damaged by russian artillery. Among them are Vasiukivka, Markove, Bohdanivka, Khromove, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, and Pivnichrne, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, the Defense Forces continue to deter the advance of russian troops near Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. At the same time, the enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, namely Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke and Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Marinka, despite enemy artillery fire, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks near Marinka. The enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Hostre, Marinka, and Pobieda of Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk,  russians launched an airstrike at Vuhledar, Donetsk oblast. They shelled more than 15 settlements, including Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Makarivka, and Zelene Pole of Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, russian forces are on the defensive, and concentrate their main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. They carried out an airstrike at Rivnopil of Zaporizhzhia oblast. russians shelled more than 30 settlements, including Levadne, Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Bilohiria of Zaporizhzhia oblast; Zmiivka, Lviv, Tokarivka, Antonivka, Veletenske, Stanyslav of Kherson oblast and Kherson.

Towards  Melitopol and Berdiansk, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue conducting offensive operations, taking defense positions at captured territories, while shelling detected enemy targets, and carrying out counter-battery countermeasures.

In the temporarily occupied settlement of Maloianisol of Donetsk Oblast, the deployment of russian units was noted. The aggressors continue to violate the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war. The occupiers almost constantly drink alcoholic beverages and, in a drunken state, abuse civilians, injure them, and engage in looting.

The Ukrainian Air Force conducted 13 strikes on enemy manpower buildups, 3 on anti-aircraft missile systems, and 1 on the enemy control point.

Ukrainian rocket and artillery units hit a buildup of manpower, weapons and military equipment, 3 ammunition warehouses, 18 artillery units at firing positions, 3 anti-aircraft defense equipment and 2 radio electronic warfare stations of the enemy.

The StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that there is a possibility that russia is preparing provocations at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Foreign objects resembling explosive devices were placed on the outer roof of ZNPP units 3 and 4. The explosion is not expected to damage the power units, but it could create a picture of shelling from Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also emphasized that they do not violate international humanitarian law, monitor and control the situation, and are ready to act under any circumstances. 

Yurii Ihnat, Spokesman for the Air Force Command, informs that training on Western F-16 fighters has not yet begun, but the process is underway. Communications are currently underway to accelerate the delivery of the F-16 and training of Ukrainian pilots.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the RMA, the occupiers fired mortars and artillery at Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv region, Budarky in Chuhuiv region, Petro-Ivanivka, Novomlynsk in Kupiansk region. Around 14:00, a shelling took place in Cherneshchyna, Izium region, damaging a farm, without casualties.  At 14.20, the occupiers fired on Kozacha Lopan. Residential buildings were damaged, no casualties.  At 14:30, the russian army struck Petropavlivka, Kupiansk region, without causing any casualties.  At 17.40, there was a mortar attack on the village of Kolisnykivka in Kupiansk region. There were no casualties. 

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, says that russia also launched a mortar attack on Odnorobivka railway station in Zolochiv community. According to him, outbuildings, the hangar of the Alfa company and railroad tracks were damaged, and several settlements in the community have no electricity supply. No one was injured or killed.

At about 13:35, the russians struck Pervomaiske with an Iskander missile. A russian-made munition hit a parking lot near a multi-storey building located in a residential neighborhood. Anton Orekhov, Deputy Mayor of Pervomaisk, says that there are no strategic objects near the site of the hit.  Andrii Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office, says that so far, 31 victims are known to have been injured. Among them are 9 children and two infants. The condition of the 10-month-old boy, who was taken to the intensive care unit, has already been stabilized. Other children received light shrapnel wounds, bruises and scratches. Everyone is provided with medical care. Nine residential buildings were damaged. Windows in high-rise buildings were smashed. The SES units will also investigate these buildings for possible structural damage. 

Mine danger remains high. In Izium, a 32-year-old man tripped an explosive device, sustained mine-blast injuries and was hospitalized in serious condition. 

The State Emergency Service press service reported that a70-year-old woman was blown up on a mine inf the Piskiv forestry in Izium region. The wounded woman was hospitalized. The explosion resulted in a mine-blast injury associated with the amputation of her right foot and shrapnel wounds.

Bomb squads inspected 6.4 hectares of Kharkiv oblast, where they found and neutralized 85 ordnance. The work involved 163 specialists and 64 pieces of equipment.

During a meeting in Tsyrkuny between the RMA Head and Yulia Svyrydenko,  the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economy of Ukraine, demining of Kharkiv oblast was discussed. Only 10% of the area is to be demined – these are the meadows through which the contact line passed. It is currently a difficult area to work in, as the occupiers have used mines and cluster shells there. During the entire period of work, pyrotechnics demined almost 5.4 thousand hectares of territory and 329 critical infrastructure facilities. More than 97 K explosive devices were found and defused. 59 pyrotechnic teams of the SES, National Police, State Security Service and the Armed Forces are working on demining Kharkiv oblast. This is almost 250 sappers.

Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, reports that a resident of de-occupied Liptsy with her son was returned to Kharkiv. On March 16, 2022, the russian army deported the family to Voronezh region.

Donetsk oblast

The RMA reported that the russians killed 1 resident of Donetsk oblast in Predtechyne, and wounded 2.  

Towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar community is subject to heavy shelling.  Vuhledar was shelled 28 times. Novoukrainka was shelled twice with Grads. 2 houses were damaged. Maksymivka came under artillery and Grad fire, and Bohoiavlenka was shelled with Grads. In the morning, russians shelled Velyka Novosilka, damaging houses on two streets.

Towards Donetsk, 1 person was wounded and 6 houses damaged in Hostre of Kurakhove community. Avdiivka was shelled with Grad MRLSs in the evening, and there were 7 rocket attacks in the morning.

Towards Horlivka, 4 houses were damaged in Toretsk, 3 in Diliivka and 1 in Druzhba. 1 person was wounded and 2 houses damaged in Predtechyne of Kostiantynivka community, Kostiantynivka came under fire in the morning. In Soledar community, houses in Vasiukivka and Bondarka were damaged. In Chasiv Yar community, 4 houses were damaged.

On July 3, russian troops dropped two aerial bombs on residential areas of Toretsk. The shelling damaged residential buildings and infrastructure. No civilians were killed or injured.

Towards Lysychansk, 1 person was wounded and 2 houses damaged in Siversk. Two houses were destroyed and 11 damaged in Lyman community.

Vitalii Barabash, Head of Avdiivka Military Administration reported that the russian military launched an airstrike in the morning, firing 7 missiles at Avdiivka simultaneously. Two hours later, they launched one more air strike on the city. There is currently no information on casualties caused by these attacks. 

The National Resistance Centre reports that the russian occupation administration has announced the start of “de-Ukrainisation and measures to eliminate Ukrainian identity” in the occupied settlements of Donetsk oblast. 

Luhansk oblast

The russian forces tried to storm Ukrainian positions ten times, using artillery to support them – over the past day, the russians used it 661 times. There were also 12 enemy air raids. 50 occupшукs were killed and 129 wounded. According to Serhiy Cherevaty, Spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, an Acacia self-propelled artillery system, four mortars, an armored artillery tractor and a field depot with russian ammunition were destroyed towards Lyman and Kupiansk.

 As before, the occupiers are actively using aviation and artillery to support their attacks. The RMA reported that this time Bilohorivka and Nevske came under fire. Ukrainian troops successfully repelled seven enemy attacks. In particular, the enemy tried to advance south of Novoselivske, Novovodiane, west of Dibrova and northeast of Serebrianyi forestry. However, due to the losses, they returned to his previous positions. 

In Makarove, russian soldiers set up a military hospital on the territory of a children’s health camp. Now there are more than 100 wounded russian soldiers there. russian military equipment and checkpoints are scattered throughout the camp. Residential buildings of the local population are located in the immediate vicinity. 

The situation is similar in the village of Lyman in Starobilsk region, where russian occupiers have converted a children’s health camp into a military hospital with more than 100 wounded invaders. The area around is used to store military equipment.

State employees of the so-called ‘luhansk people’s republic’ are being tested for loyalty to the kremlin. They survey each employee on this topic and force them to fill out questionnaires with mandatory indication of personal data. Disloyal people will be summoned to the occupation law enforcement agencies for ‘conversations’. Special campaign teams will be sent to organizations and businesses to ‘raise awareness.’ The heads of a number of institutions have already held staff meetings to recommend what answers to provide to the questionnaires.

Roman Vlasenko, Head of Sievierodonetsk Military AdministrationIn, says that in addition to hospitals and recreation camps, the occupiers place their wounded in educational institutions and cultural centers. The rear infrastructure of the russian army is located in Starobilsk region. Crematoriums for destroying bodies of fallen russian soldiers operate in Kadiivka and Luhansk. In Sievierodonetsk, there are almost more russian military and collaborators on tour than local residents. The upper floors of residential buildings in the city are inhabited by bats.

The RMA reports that Luhansk Regional Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater, which is temporarily based in Sumy, took part in the New Wave Theater International Theater Festival at the invitation of the Western Theater of Resica (Romania) with the performance Who Am I, directed by Stanislav Sadakliiev and based on a play by German playwright Marius von Mayenburg.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

A farewell ceremony was held in Kyiv for the Ukrainian writer Viktoria Amelina, who died as a result of a russian missile attack on June 27 in the center of Kramatorsk. Victoria was fatally wounded while in the Ria Lounge restaurant with a delegation of Colombian journalists and writers. During the full-scale invasion of the russian federation, the writer joined the human rights organization Truth Hounds, which documents war crimes in the liberated territories of Ukraine, so this was not her first trip to dangerous areas. The memorial service for the deceased was held in Mykhailivskyi Zolotoverkhyi Monastery.

The State Emergency Service reported that joint firefighting and tactical training of rescuers and military personnel took place at a patronage and rehabilitation boarding house in Vyshhorod region. The training involved practicing operational actions in the event of a fire, evacuation of people from buildings and handling fire and rescue equipment.

Local producers of Kyiv oblast will be united in an electronic catalog of craftspeople to boost the agricultural and craft sector during the war. The Department of Economy of Kyiv oblast is developing the catalog together with the Regional Development Agency of the oblast.

The Dobrobut medical network is launching a new department of physical rehabilitation in the medical and diagnostic center of Kyiv. Until August 31, a program of free treatment for military personnel will operate supported by the Direct Relief charitable foundation. They will deal with recovery after operations on the musculoskeletal system, treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system and pain syndromes, recovery after combat injuries.

The photo exhibition Armed Forces of Ukraine was opened in Kyiv as part of the “Unconquered Nation. National Liberation War of Ukraine against russia (2013-2023)” project. During the opening ceremony, Ukrinform noted that the purpose of the photo exhibition is to show the life of the Ukrainian army thanks to the efforts of military correspondents and press officers.

Bucha city council reported that students of the community handed over a quadrocopter for the border guards who are fighting near Bakhmut. To collect funds, students together with teachers and parents organized fairs.

Zhytomyr oblast

Two medical facilities in Zhytomyr oblast affected by the war will be rebuilt due to subventions from the state budget. In general, the Government allocated more than UAH 6.6 bln for reconstruction projects from the fund for liquidation of the consequences of armed aggression of the russian federation. Part of the funds will be used to restore and repair medical facilities in the areas most affected by the war. In Zhytomyr oblast, the Herbachevsky Regional Clinical Hospital and the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital will be restored.

Participants of the national program VidnovaUA participate in the restoration of the youth space in one of Zhytomyr’s business centers. 30 volunteer participants from seven oblasts came to be involved in the restoration of Ukraine. The participants will undergo various communication training and master classes.

Sumy oblast

Sumy RMA reported that the number of people killed in the attack of enemy drones on Sumy on July 3 increased to three people. The russian attack injured 19 people, including a 5-year-old child. 4 victims remain in health care facilities, 2 of them are in intensive care. July 4 has been declared in Sumy as a day of mourning for those who were killed due to the russian attack by enemy drones, and all mass events in the city have been canceled.

At the scene of the impact, emergency workers are carrying out emergency recovery work. The State Emergency Service reported that 47 rescuers and 12 pieces of equipment are working on the spot. In the morning, the townspeople joined in cleaning the area near the house. Employees of World Central Kitchen, who are feeding people from the damaged building and all the workers involved in the elimination of the consequences of the tragedy, are also at the site of the debris removal.

In total, the russians carried out 28 artillery attacks causing 170 explosions. As reported by Sumy RMA, Sumy, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Yunakivka, Khotyn, Krasnopillia, Velika Pysarivka, Shalyhine and Seredino-Buda communities were shelled.

As a result of enemy artillery shelling, 2 civilians were killed and one wounded in Shalyhine community. In Yunakivka community, a local resident was killed due to mortar fire; 4 residential buildings and an outbuilding were damaged. A fire broke out in non-residential buildings in Velika Pysarivka community.

On the night and morning of July 4, the russians carried out 4 attacks on the border, causing a total of 30 explosions. Esman, Shalyhine and Seredino-Buda communities came under shelling. The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the Ukrainian military also destroyed an enemy drone over the oblast.

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that russian occupiers attempted to penetrate the territory of Sumy oblast. The enemy did not hit the target, but opened fire on the civilian population to intimidate, this resulting in the death of two civilians and wounding of one civilian. The investigation into the circumstances of the emergency situation continues. Residents of the border areas are once again asked to evacuate from dangerous areas.

Chernihiv oblast

During the past day, the russians launched 15 artillery attacks. There were 165 artillery and mortar strikes. As reported in the SBGS, Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities came under shelling.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, announced that the russian army delivered a powerful blow to the center of the village of Buda-Vorobiivska, Novhorod-Siverskyi region. As a result of the shelling, three people were injured. According to him, half of the residents of the village had left it due to constant russian shelling, but more than 150 people were staying.

The Ministry of Health reported that 6 dispensaries and 4 paramedics and midwives stations damaged by the russian invaders have been restored In Chernihiv oblast. 36 medical facilities were restored in Chernihiv oblast, and 17 partially restored.

Chernihiv RMA reported that the state TV network MX-7 has been operating in test mode in the oblast. This enables national broadcasters to be available for residents, especially on the border.

The State Emergency Service reported that a mobile mine safety class has started working in the oblast. Rescue workers in the communities carry out educational work, remind residents about the rules of life safety. Using 3D models, they tell about the most common types of explosive objects and their hazards.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk,  Head of the regional council, on June 3, a UAV dropped shells on Marhanets community in Nikopol region.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​According to the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Vinnytsia oblast, local rescuers received special demining equipment from the United States. These devices will allow sappers to work remotely with the most dangerous explosive items. 

Ladyzhyn signed a memorandum of partnership with its Polish twin city. The meeting approved a plan for the development of social and psychological support for local residents, and established a Coordination Council to strengthen Ukrainian national and civic identity.

Kirovohrad oblast

During a football match in Kirovohrad oblast, Sakhnovshchyna raised more than UAH 12 K for the military.

Poltava oblast

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of Poltava Regional State Administration, vehicles were sent to Ukrainian soldiers in one of the hotspots. The vehicles were provided by Poltava Customs and the regional administration.

Cherkasy oblast

Cherkasy’s Regional Art Museum hosted an event called Become a Military Patron. The event raised UAH 35 K to buy a car for the military. Three drones were also donated to the Territorial Defense.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Herman Halushchenko, Ukraine’s Energy Minister,  met with the U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Bridget Brink to discuss the possibility of involving the U.S. Space Agency to monitor the situation at the ZNPP. Ukraine hopes that the United States will support Ukraine’s candidacy for the IAEA Board of Governors.

Energoatom reported that on the night of July 4, the Zaporizhzhia NPP lost power from the main external high-voltage 750 kV power line. The plant was switched to a 330 kV backup line, which was repaired and reconnected on July 1.

Valerii Shershen, Spokesman for the Joint Press Center of the Tavriia Defense Forces said that Ukrainian troops have advanced up to two kilometers towards Berdiansk in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

According to Zaporizhzhia RMA on July 3, russian troops fired 61 times at 17 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast using S-300 air defense systems, aircraft, artillery, MLRS and drones. Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Kamianske, Levadne, Novodarivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Levadne, Piatykhatky, Kamianske, Novodanylivka came under fire. One person was injured.

As of July 4, the water level in the lower reaches of the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant in Zaporizhzhia oblast rose by 1.04 m over the day to 13.18 m. Despite the increase, the figure is 1.32 m below the norm.

Oleksandr Chub, Head of Tokmak Military Administration, reported that russian troops in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia oblast stop local residents at checkpoints and check for russian passports, destroying Ukrainian documents as a demonstration.

Mykolaiv oblast

On July 3, at 16:25, artillery shelling was reported between the settlements of Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. Additionally, at 17:45, the enemy fired artillery at a settlement in Kutsurub community, damaging two units of agricultural machinery. Simultaneously, enemy shelling was observed along the coastline of Ochakiv community. On the morning of July 4, at 06:40, the enemy conducted artillery strikes on the water area of Ochakiv community. Fortunately, there were no casualties or damage.

In Mykolaiv, doctors at the regional oncology center performed a surgery on a Ukrainian soldier, removing a bullet that had been lodged in his body for over a year. The soldier, named Volodymyr, had miraculously survived the injury sustained during the battles for Mariupol and subsequent period of captivity. Upon his return, medical examinations revealed the presence of the bullet in his spleen. The successful surgery was conducted, and the soldier is currently undergoing rehabilitation.

On July 3, the second meeting of the Steering Committee for Cooperation between the Kingdom of Denmark and Mykolaiv oblast took place. It was chaired by Dan Jannik Jørgensen, Minister of Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy of Denmark. During the meeting, a new aid package for Mykolaiv oblast was announced. The package includes the supply of new specialized equipment, assistance in repairing buildings damaged due to russian aggression, support in establishing bomb shelters in schools to facilitate in-person education for children, provision of modern medical equipment to Mykolaiv oblast, as well as financing and support for the Regional Office for International Cooperation.

Odesa oblast

In Odesa, a group of volunteers from Vinnytsia has donated 12 buggies to the military of the ‘South’ Operational Command. These buggies were constructed using old cars and metal, with the entire process taking approximately two months. The volunteers repurposed old cars to create the buggies, and any necessary replacement parts were purchased. Additionally, two more vehicles are being converted into evacuation vehicles to transport wounded individuals from the frontlines.

Over the course of several weeks, employees from medical institutions in Odesa participated in a blood donation campaign at the city’s transfusion department. The campaign, known as “Donate Blood to Save Lives,” was part of the Donor Odesa project. In total, approximately 80 liters of blood were collected.

Following the explosion at the Kakhovka HPP, the Odesa Zoo became a temporary home for nearly 300 animals that had washed up on the shore. Some of these animals have already been successfully released back into the wild. Zoo director Ihor Biliakov shared this information during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Odesa on July 4.

Due to the flooding, freshwater animals such as lake frogs, marsh turtles, and around 100 Danube newts were found on the coast of Odesa oblast. Some of the Danube newts were caught by local residents, but they are planned to be returned to their natural habitat in Kherson oblast while they are being kept at the zoo.

Kherson oblast

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, held a working meeting with the UN mission. They discussed further support for the population affected by the armed aggression of the russian federation and the occupiers’ blowing up of the Kakhovka HPP. In particular, they discussed the provision of equipment and materials to restore the affected homes and water supply in the communities. 

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that Peter Van de Veld, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Ukraine visited Kherson. The key issue discussed was assistance in overcoming the consequences of the russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka HPP, as well as the reconstruction of the region after full de-occupation. 

On July 4, at 6 am, the russian army attacked Kherson with artillery. A man and a woman were killed. Also in the morning they dropped an air bomb on Antonivka. There were no casualties.

The russian army shelled the village of Veletynske in Kherson oblast. They hit the school yard. The boiler room and nearby houses were damaged.

Over the course of the day, Ukrainian defense forces struck two buildups of enemy manpower in Kherson and Kakhovka regions.

On July 3, the russian army continued to concentrate its efforts towards Kherson to hold back the Ukrainian advance. It fired artillery at Antonivka and Kherson.

On July 3, russian troops fired 68 times at Kherson oblast with mortars, artillery, Grads, drones and aircraft. They fired 35 shells at Kherson, hitting residential areas and wounding six people.

Ukrainians support each other in difficult times. Olena and Valentyn Belozorenko from Stanislav, owners of the Lyman Goat farm, decided to donate a pair of young goats to families who have lost their income.  This is stated on the farm’s Facebook page.

Volyn oblast

On July 8, the military exhibition Heavenly Photographer will be opened in Lutsk. The exhibition will feature works of Maksym Burda, the fallen soldier from Kovel.

Zakarpattia oblast

Viktor Mykyta, Head of the RMA, met with Hans Peter Doskozil, Head of the Government of Burgenland Land Burgenland of the Republic of Austria, and Vasyl Khymynts, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Austria. They discussed humanitarian demining, sending children from Zaporizhzhia oblast to Austria for rehabilitation, expanding cooperation between Zakarpattia and Burgenland, etc.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a video meeting with representatives of the Habitat for Humanity international organization. A pilot project for the long-term residence of vulnerable sections of the population affected by the war was discussed.

The RMA reported that Kalush community received two generators thanks to partners from the EU.

Ruslan Martsinkiv, Head of Ivano-Frankivsk, announced that 87 orphans and children deprived of parental care together with their guardians went on summer vacation to Warsaw.

Lviv oblast

In the school, which is not working, in the village of Lopushna, repairs were carried out and 7 living rooms for IDPs were equipped thanks to cooperation between Lviv RMA and the Austrian Red Cross. Large families from Kharkiv and Bakhmut will live here.

Camouflage nets and a Nissan car were sent to a military man from the village of Hostintsev as part of the 1 000_Freedom_Cars initiative thanks to Mostysk City Council, the Forpost Lviv NGO and employees of the community’s cultural institutions.

An ambulance was sent to Horodotsk Central Hospital. The car was handed over by Poles during the working trip of Horodotsk community delegation to the city of Bila Pidliask.

About UAH 150K was collected at the charity fair in Pustomyt to purchase a car for Ihor Fedyniak, coach of Pustomyty State Junior High School Yunist and his unit that defends Ukraine. Also, over UAH 40K were donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a charity event in the village of Velike Kolodno of Zhovanetsk community.

Rivne oblast

Monitoring visits to places of compact residence of IDPs are launched in Rivne oblast. Dubno region is the first to be visited. The regional Coordination Centre includes representatives of the authorities, NGOs, law enforcement, and specialized services. The main task is to help the victims of the war.

A charity boxing tournament was held in Demydivka community. The UAH 5K raised is to be transferred to help soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A charity fair organized by the local Palace of Culture in Sarny raised UAH 11.4 K. During the event, the children also prepared greeting cards for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Kornyn community organized an event with singing, selling homemade cakes, masterclasses, and entertainment. The event raised UAH 20.4 K to buy a car for Volodymyr Ohorodinchuk, a fellow countryman, who is defending Ukrainian land in the 117th Brigade

Ternopil oblast

The RMA reported that Ternopil oblast accepted and accommodated 9 children with disabilities who were evacuated from Zaporizhzhia oblast. Children are provided with proper medical care and care.

In Ternopil oblast, the Recovery Army government project is being implemented to attract people who have lost their jobs. In particular, the employment centers involved 395 people, including 19 IDPs, to perform socially useful works in the communities of the oblast.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that a car was sent to the military thanks to Khmelnytskyi Protection Agency.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Coordinating Council on Mental Health Issues has started work at Chernivtsi RMA. It is a consultative and advisory body created to implement the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program.

Chernivtsi RMA and Ernst & Young Global Limited signed a Memorandum of cooperation. Its goal is to increase investment attractiveness of Bukovyna.

46 children who are brought up and live in foster families, family-type orphanages and guardian families will go on a humanitarian summer trip to the Republic of Turkey. They will live by the sea, have delicious food and lots of active leisure. All necessary medical and psychological services will be provided there. This became possible thanks to RUSLAN SHOSTAKA CF.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reported that in January-June 2023, Ukraine received international aid in the form of grants for UAH 269.6 billion. The largest donor of grant support in January-June 2023 is the US (UAH 263 billion). Also, on an irrevocable basis, Ukraine received financing from Germany, Spain, Finland, Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, Iceland in the total amount of up to UAH 6.4 billion. The funds were directed to the state budget of Ukraine through the Trust Fund of the World Bank within the framework of the PEACE project.

Ukraine received a tranche of $890 million from the International Monetary Fund. The funds were received as a result of the successful first revision of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program. So far, Ukraine has already received $3.59 billion from the IMF. Total funding under the Program is $15.6 billion.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Ulf Kristersson, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden. They agreed to coordinate efforts to bring the two countries closer to NATO membership.
