It has been the 726th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy continues to conduct an invasive war. Despite significant losses, they do not abandon their plans to fully occupy Ukraine, ignore the laws and customs of war, use terror tactics, launch strikes and shell both military and civilian targets. The enemy is actively using aircraft and FPV quadcopters, conducting assault operations with the support of armoured vehicles.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains challenging.

There were 70 combat engagements over the day. In total, the enemy launched 4 missiles and 52 airstrikes, fired 72 times from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of our troops and settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks have resulted in injuries and deaths among the civilian population. Apartment buildings, private houses and other infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged.

The situation towards Volyn and Polissia remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of belarusian armed forces are performing tasks near the border with Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Slobozhanske, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of russian federation and increases the density of mine barriers along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy launched airstrikes near Baranivka in Chernihiv oblast and Bobylivka in Sumy oblast. More than 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar attack, such as Senkivka of Chernihiv oblast, Katerynivka, Taratutyne, Yizdetske, Luhivka, Velyka Pysarivka of Sumy oblast.

Towards Kupiansk direction, the enemy made 3 unsuccessful offensive attempts near Synkivka, Kharkiv oblast. The enemy launched airstrikes near Tabaivka, Pishchane and Synkivka of Kharkiv oblast. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar attacks, such as Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka of Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, our troops repelled 4 attacks near Terny, Donetsk oblast, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, where the enemy tried to break through the defences of our troops. More than 10 settlements suffered from artillery and mortar attacks, such as Nevske, Bilohorivka of Luhansk oblast, Serebrianka, Terny, Torske and Rozdolivka of Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 11 attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka of Donetsk oblast, where the enemy was trying to improve the tactical situation. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar attack, such as Bohdanivka, Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Niu-York of Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, our defenders repelled 9 enemy attacks near Lastochkyne, Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske of Donetsk oblast. About 20 settlements were under enemy artillery and mortar attack, such as Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Lastochkyne, Sieverne and Pervomaiske of Donetsk oblast.

Towards Marinka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the enemy near Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk oblast, repelling 19 attacks. Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka and Kostiantynivka suffered artillery and mortar attacks.

Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy tried to conduct an offensive once near Staromaiorske, Donetsk oblast. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar attack, such as Zolota Nyva, Staromaiorske, Rivne of Donetsk oblast and Novodarivka, Levadne of Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 10 enemy attacks near Malynivka and Robotyne of Zaporizhzhia oblast. More than 20 settlements were under artillery and mortar attack, such as Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Stepove, Kamianske of Zaporizhzhia oblast.

In the area of responsibility of Odesa operational-strategic group towards Kherson, the enemy does not abandon the intention to push our units out of their footholds on the left bank of Dnipro river. Thus, they made 5 attempts to storm the positions of our troops over the day. Kherson, Antonivka, Zelenivka and Krynky of Kherson oblast were under artillery and mortar attack. The enemy also attacked 9 times from multiple launch rocket systems.

The Defence Forces’ aviation hit 10 concentration areas, 1 control point and 10 enemy anti-aircraft missile sites. Also in the eastern sector, units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two enemy aircraft: a Su-34 fighter-bomber and a Su-35S fighter.

During his visit to Kharkiv oblast, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited the battalion command post of the 14th separate mechanised brigade named after Prince Roman the Great, which is performing combat missions to defend Kupiansk. He presented the Cross of Military Honour to Colonel Oleksandr Lutsenko, and the defenders received Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Order of III class, and the Order of Courage, II-III classes.

Prosecutor’s office is investigating two episodes of executions of Ukrainian prisoners. The reported murder of two Ukrainian soldiers by the russian military was near Rozdolivka village, Donetsk oblast. The alleged shooting of 6 captured defenders of Avdiivka is being investigated. The events are classified as a violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder under Art. 438(2) of the Criminal Code.

Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister of Digital Transformation, reported that  Ukrainian analogues of Lancet drones have passed preliminary tests and are preparing for their first combat trials. The next stage will be battlefield testing.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian troops repelled 41 russian attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Most of the fighting was towards Marinka.

Kharkiv oblast

Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv Village Military Administration, reported that in the morning russians shelled the border Oleksandrivka village of Zolochiv community with artillery, 18 attacks were recorded. According to him, houses, a kindergarten, a farm, machinery and a water tower were damaged. There is no electricity supply in the village after the shelling.

The regional prosecutor’s office said that a 37-year-old and a 36-year-old security guard at a civilian enterprise were injured in shelling in Vovchansk. According to preliminary reports, russians attacked with mortars at around 9:45 am, damaging buildings and cars. The injured were hospitalised.

There were no attacks on Kharkiv city during the day. According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, about 5 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were under enemy artillery and mortar attacks, including: Kozacha Lopan, Lukianets, Hatyshche, Mykolaivka, etc. Vilkhuvatka, Petropavlivka and Borova suffered airstrikes.

At 9 am, the invaders attacked Vilshana village, Kupiansk region. There was no information about destruction.

At 11 am, as a result of hostile shelling in Borova village, Izium region, two buildings of non-functioning educational institutions, a two-storey apartment building, a private house and a medical facility were damaged. 

There were no casualties.

The enemy conducted two offensives near Tabaivka over the day.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 4.2 hectares of territory and defused 157 explosive ordnance.

A 50-year-old resident of Vovchanski Khutory, who was injured in a russian shelling on 16 February, died in hospital.

Kanashevych, Head of Kupiansk Regional Military Administration, informed that in five days, 12 people were killed and 16 others injured in Kupiansk region as a result of shelling. According to him, russians mostly used aerial bombs to shell Kupiansk. 

Czech photographer and poet Igor Malijevský came to work in the literary residency at Slovo House. In Kharkiv, Malijevský is writing and taking photographs as he plans to use his work about the city for publications in European magazines.

Kharkiv Art Museum is restoring its exhibition halls after russian strikes on downtown. The building was first damaged in March 2022 and later russian missiles and shells hit it three times. The museum received a EUR 91,000 grant to repair the building.

Donetsk oblast

The press service of Donetsk police reported that during the day, russia attacked civilians 14 times. The invaders attacked with aircraft, S-300 air defence systems and artillery. 9 settlements were targeted: Krasnohorivka, Selydove cities, Zhelanne, Ocheretyne settlements, Malynivka, Novopokrovske, Novoselivka Persha, Soloviove, Shevchenko Persha villages. 23 civilian objects were damaged, such as 18 residential buildings, two schools and a sports and recreation centre.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Pokrovsk, a person was injured in Krasnohorivka of Marinka community. A person was injured and a house damaged in Ocheretyne.

Towards Kramatorsk, the outskirts of Lyman and Kostiantynivka communities were shelled, there was nop destruction.

Towards Bakhmut, 4 private houses were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. Another house was damaged in Serebrianka of Siversk community. Pereizne and Verkhnokamianske of Zvanivka community and Rozdolivka and Fedorivka of Soledar community were shelled.

In total, russians attacked settlements in Donetsk oblast 14 times over the day. 41 people, including 8 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

Petro Andriushchenko, Mariupol Mayor’s Councilor, reported that an explosion occurred in Rybatskyi district near occupied Mariupol in the morning of 19 February, followed by a “downing of an aerial target”.

Maksym Zhorin, Deputy Commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, stated that during the fighting for Avdiivka, soldiers of the 3rd separate assault brigade were completely surrounded but managed to get out.

Dmytro Lykhovii, Spokesman of Tavriia operational-strategic group, said that the number of russian attacks has significantly decreased towards Avdiivka. Also the russian army is regrouping and conducting a sweep in Avdiivka.

In Kramatorsk, while clearing the rubble at the site of a missile attack on 17 February, rescuers rescued a cat from the rubble. The Prosecutor’s Office reported that russian troops hit Kramatorsk, allegedly with supersonic X-22 missiles. Three people were killed.

Mother of the fallen Ukrainian soldier Petro Osadchuk gave three FPV drones to the soldiers of Donetsk border guard detachment. He was killed on 9 January 2023 near Soledar.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the enemy intensified not only the attack pressure on Bilohorivka but also artillery and mortar attack. Over Saturday and Sunday, russians attacked over 350 times, launching more than 1,350 shells at the positions of Ukrainian defenders. The day before, Makiivka and Bilohorivka were under enemy attack.

The so-called “lpr” officially announced that it is not necessary to visit polling stations during the presidential elections in russia. These organisers will come to the occupied territories to collect votes themselves. The invaders have approved a list of settlements where polling stations will not be opened at all. They will organise mobile voting there: ballots will be available in the adjacent territories or you can leave an application for voting at home.

For more than a week, local utilities and the occupation authorities of the “lpr” have been unable to restore electricity, water and heat supply in many towns and villages after the bad weather. Significant problems have been observed in Antratsyt, Lutuhyne, Perevalsk, Dovzhansk, Slovianoserbsk and the surrounding settlements. During the bad weather, 75% of the population was without electricity and 50% without other utilities. The services have dealt with localised accidents, but more critical damage, including to power grids, remains. People are buying candles, lanterns and mobile batteries in large numbers. The worst situation is in Dovzhansk.

Roman Vlasenko, Head of Sievierodonetsk Regional Military Administration, said that the majority of the population in Sievierodonetsk region has not yet gotten centralised heating. The invaders are preparing for a new wave of forced mobilisation. The checkpoints are working on the indicators of military commissariats. In Popasna, destroyed by russians, where about 200 civilians remain, the invaders organise paid excursions. Specifically, bloggers and artists from russia come there to film the remains of houses.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, reported that a renovated kindergarten, which was damaged by shelling in March 2022, was opened in the village of Horenka in Kyiv oblast. The facility was restored at the expense of the Rayon No. 1, Krok za Krokom, Kolo charitable foundations and the local budget. The community funded a modular shelter on the territory of the kindergarten. The charity organisation arche noVa installed solar panels.

The Ukrainian Women’s Guard held a Paw to Palm canisterapy event in Borodianka UWG Hub. This is a rehabilitation meeting with children and their parents from Borodianka community who survived the shelling and occupation. The main rehabilitators at the meeting were therapy dogs, accompanied by certified canisterists. These are dogs specially trained for such meetings, whose main task is care and rehabilitation.

The Ministry of Health said that Kyiv and 6 other cities have a high demand for all types of donor blood. 

Bucha community has handed over 5 Mavic drones for border guards at the frontline. The community spent over UAH 800,000 from the local budget to purchase the drones.

According to Oleksandr Markushyn, Mayor of Irpin, they handed over a pickup truck, a jeep, a Mavic 3T and a batch of FPV drones to Ukrainian soldiers. The aid went to Donetsk oblast.

Bucha City Council confirmed that a solar station has been opened at Bucha Lyceum No. 3 in Kyiv oblast to provide the school with electricity during blackouts. The installed panels will allow the school to operate autonomously for at least three hours. 1,500 students will be able to study fully despite power outages. 

Zhytomyr oblast

The President has awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of the Golden Star to the commander of the 95th Brigade from Zhytomyr, Oleh Apostol. This happened during Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s trip to Kharkiv oblast. The President visited the frontline positions of Ukrainian troops towards Kupiansk and awarded the defenders.

According to Zhytomyr RMA, almost 60,000 IDPs have found accommodation in Zhytomyr oblast. Among them are more than 16,000 children, including almost 5,500 preschool children. The oblast has fully covered the costs of maintenance, accommodation, food and medical care for IDPs placed in residential institutions.

Sumy oblast

Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of Sumy RMA, reported that since the beginning of the year, russian troops have fired 1,432 times at Sumy oblast, killing 17 people. Last year, Sumy oblast was shelled 8,000 times and 84 people killed.

According to Sumy RMA, at night, russian soldiers shelled Khotin and Seredyna-Buda communities. There were 9 mortar attacks.

Also, russians fired 12 times at the border of Sumy oblast. There were 81 attacks with mortars, artillery, MLRS and AGS. Khotin, Mykolaivka, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda communities were under enemy attack.

Sumy oblast police said that 6 residential buildings in Seredyna-Buda community were damaged by russian shelling on February 18. 

The Ministry of Energy informed that 16 settlements in Sumy oblast were cut off from electricity supply due to russian shelling, leaving 2,465 consumers without power. The shelling also interrupted gas distribution to two consumers.

Referring to the State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast, sappers destroyed 14 munitions discovered in Sumy, Okhtyrka, Konotop, Shostka and Romny regions last week. Since the beginning of the year, 98 cases of explosive devices have been registered in the oblast.

Chernihiv oblast

According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, russian troops fired twice on the territory of Semenivka community on February 18. There were 19 mortar and artillery attacks towards the settlements of Bleshnia and Mykolaivka.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, reported that over the past week, the enemy fired 27 times at 13 border settlements in Chernihiv oblast. There were 159 explosions during this period. A mobile firing group shot down two enemy kamikaze drones on the territory of the oblast.

Chernihiv honoured the memory of those killed on August 19, 2023, in a russian missile attack on a drama theatre in downtown. During the memorial event, the families of the victims, deputies and the community held a memorial service for the victims.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening the enemy fired artillery twice at Nikopol. They fired about a dozen shells targeting Nikopol and Marhanets community. 2 private houses were damaged in Marhanets. There were no casualties.

In the afternoon an enemy missile was shot down over Kryvyi Rih by the Air Defence Force. Nikopol region suffers from russian attacks. The region was shelled 4 times with artillery and 7 kamikaze drones were launched. Nikopol and Marhanets community were hit. 2 private enterprises, a sports facility, a dozen residential buildings, 6 outbuildings, 2 gas pipelines and fences were damaged. There were no casualties.

One of the medical institutions in Dnipropetrovsk oblast is treating 5 people wounded due to the missile attack on Selydove in Donetsk oblast. One of the injured is a hospital worker that was hit by a russian missile. Serhii Ryzhenko, Chief Physician of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after Mechnikov reported that the wounded woman from the hospital in Selydove is in extremely critical condition, she suffered fractures as a result of the attack and is missing an eye. Pieces of her body were torn out, her fingers were torn off. It is very difficult to treat her.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia community sent 5 Mavics 3T to the deputy commander of Chervona Kalyna 14th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine to detect and destroy the enemy. The military requested these quadcopters which can operate at night. The community supports about 30 military units. Almost UAH 1 billion is allocated in the community budget for security and defence. Serhii Morhunov, Vinnytsia Mayor reported that the community donates a certain list of things: different types of drones, spotlights, charging stations, cars, chemical warmers.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA announced that explosions were heard in Kropyvnytskyi during an air raid alert. There were no injuries or damage.

Poltava oblast

Philip Pronin, Head of the RMA reported that during the air raid in Poltava the explosions were heard in Kremenchuk region. There was no damage or casualties.

Cherkasy oblast

A charity concert was held in Kaniv to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The band managed to raise UAH 32,620. The funds will be used for the needs of one of the units where a fellow vocalist serves. When planning a concert, the artists contact veterans of Afghan unions. Their leaders turn to the local authorities who give permission to hold the concert. Now they play every Saturday and Sunday in Lviv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine. The band has one program for civilians and another for the military.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that around 12 pm, the occupiers shelled the village of Prymorske in Vasylivka region using Grad MLRS. As a result of the shelling, a 57-year-old local resident was killed. 

Yesterday, the occupiers conducted 402 strikes on 12 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The russian military carried out 15 MLRS attacks on Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka and Stepove, 144 UAV attacks on Huliaipole, Malynivka, Robotyne, Charivne, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novodarivka, Levadne and Novoivanivka. Additionally, they launched 2 air-to-ground missiles on Mala Tokmachka. 241 artillery shelling incidents targeted the territories of Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Kamianske and other settlements along the front line. There were 10 reports about residential buildings being destroyed.

Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Commander of Tavriia operational-strategic group, announced that defense forces destroyed a UR-77 mine clearance system, also known as “Zmii Horinych” (Dragon Horinych), on Zaporizhzhia front. Additionally, 4 tanks, 21 combat armored vehicles, 4 artillery systems and 7 vehicles were destroyed. The enemy attempted 10 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian forces near the village of Robotyne, using small assault groups with several armored vehicles. However, these attempts did not succeed.

The enemy continues to militarize the youth actively in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia oblast. Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that “lessons of masculinity” are being conducted in schools throughout the Temporary Occupied Territory (TOT), along with meetings with the russian military and law enforcement officers. Almost every day, students are forced to write “letters of gratitude” to the killers on the front lines. A personnel reserve of collaborators has been created in Enerhodar, called the “youth chamber” under the fake city council. Starting from September 1, schools will receive equipment for lessons on the development, production, and operation of unmanned aerial systems. Children will be taught to design and use UAVs for military operations.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts visited the temporarily occupied city of Enerhodar to assess the consequences, according to russian claims, of the recent UAV attack. The report indicates that the agency’s team was escorted to two of the four possible attack sites. One possible target was the building of the Enerhodar city council, which the experts indeed observed to have significant damage to its facade and some broken windows. At another site, a schoolyard, the experts noticed a broken window. No remnants of the UAV, which was removed before their arrival as reported, were found. The press release highlighted that over the past week, the experts continued to hear explosions at a certain distance from Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), serving as a constant reminder of potential risks to nuclear safety.

The Chief Intelligence Directorate reported that russians are dispatching election commission workers in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts, who will falsify results during the upcoming pseudo-voting. It is noted that russian authorities have sent special units to create fake civilian support in the TOT areas for the upcoming “elections” of russian president. One of the tasks of these units is to report on the readiness for “voting” by employees of enterprises in the occupied territories by March 10, 2024, and to provide a forecast of “support” for putin. Additionally, these units are tasked with monitoring the conduct of pseudo-elections and falsifying their results.

Mykolaiv oblast

Based on the morning report from Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on February 18, the russian military struck Ochakiv. Also russians shelled the settlements of Kutsurub community. Additionally they attacked with artillery the waters of Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities using FPV drones. There were artillery shelling on waters of Ochakiv community. There were no reported casualties. 

Odesa oblast

On February 17 and 18, Ukrainian maritime corridor set consecutive records with 16 vessels departing from the ports of Odesa each day. Yesterday, five bulk carriers, Mercury J, Amira Miro, Glorious Sea, ABK Legend, and the 229-meter Bull, left the docks of Chornomorsk port. Pivdennyi port sent dry cargo ships Eirini S, Aileen, ER Nazire, the 229-meter giant Rose III and the 292-meter Johanna towards Bosporus. Anka, Sundry, Amo Grande, Omar Trader and Griffin T tanker departed from Odesa port. Several vessels are expected to enter Ukrainian ports, including the giant 292-meter New Assimina, which is set to dock in Pivdennyi to load metal products.

A queue of bulk carriers has formed near Sulinskyi Channel, waiting to enter Danube ports. Currently, there are over 30 vessels in Izmail, Ust-Dunaisk and Kiliia, transporting agricultural and metal products for transshipment to European ports along Danube.

The press service of Odesa City Council stated that the Ukrainian military received five off-road vehicles from the residents of Odesa. The cars were purchased with budget funds, along with 12 twenty-foot and 5 forty-foot containers. 

Kherson oblast

Today, russian forces attacked the Invincibility Centre in one of the villages of Novooleksandrivka community. An explosive device was dropped on the building from a drone, causing damage to windows, doors, and the roof. Additionally, Beryslav was targeted by the drone, resulting in a 41-year-old man sustaining leg injuries. The victim received on-site medical assistance and is currently in satisfactory condition.

Yesterday the enemy carried out 21 shellings, firing 88 projectiles using artillery, mortars and UAVs. The city of Kherson was shelled with 16 projectiles. There were no reported civilian casualties. The police opened 5 cases regarding war crimes committed by russian occupiers against the civilian population in Kherson oblast. The occupiers attacked Kherson, Antonivka, Honcharne, Sadove, Inhulets and Lvove. In total, 29 objects were damaged, including 21 private and 3 multi-story buildings, 3 vehicles, garages and utility structures. Inhulets experienced damage to 19 private houses, cars, and garages due to enemy shelling from MLRS. Also russian occupiers attacked the settlement of Honcharne with a drone, resulting in an explosion that damaged a car. The russian military shelled the territory of a factory, a park, and residential buildings in Kherson city. Three multi-story buildings were damaged in Dniprovskyi district.

Defense forces continue to target enemy positions and rear areas. The confirmed losses of the enemy on the left bank include 88 occupiers, 4 artillery pieces, 8 armored vehicles, 1 tank, 1 Grad multiple rocket launcher system, 1 mortar, 1 electronic warfare complex, 1 UAV antenna and 1 boat. Reconnaissance of the battle results is ongoing.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, reported that two families with children and an orphaned teenager have returned from the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson oblast. 

A sculpture of a trident was restored in Kherson on the site of the destroyed monument to the Day of the State Coat of Arms. The russian military destroyed the memorial with an armored car. This happened during the temporary occupation of the city in April 2022s.

Medical facilities in Kherson oblast received 860 loaves of bread today, provided by the UN World Food Programme and the charitable organization ADRA Ukraine, ensuring free bread supply for patients and medical staff.

Humanitarian center volunteers in Proliska Kherson delivered 150 construction kits, 300 OSB sheets and 50 tarpaulin sheets to residents of Bilozirka, Stanislav, Zelenivka and Kherson. Additionally, more than 2400 non-food items, including mattresses, pillows, blankets, solar lamps and thermoses, were distributed with the support of UNHCR Ukraine to residents in need. Two hundred construction kits were also provided for repairing educational institutions damaged by shelling in Kherson.

Volunteers from Rivne oblast delivered firewood to Beryslav region, where residents are constantly suffering from enemy shelling. The fuel materials were distributed to residents of Petropavlivka and a portion of the firewood was given to the military.

The Casers NGO continues to provide medical services to residents of Kherson oblast. This week, mobile medical teams operated in Kalynivka, DavYdiv Brid, Bila Krynytsia and Virivka, providing consultations and examinations for 138 people over four days. Medical visits were also organized for homebound individuals.

Thirty-seven children, accompanied by eight adults, traveled to Poland for recreation and health improvement. They are residents of Novorotsovka, Liubymivka, Muzykivka, Bilozerka, Dariivka, Hrozove, Vysokopillia, Miroshnykivka, Komyshany and Kherson. The trip was organized by Adjalyk NGO and is entirely free for the children of Kherson.

Lutsk City Council reported that 12 batteries of various modifications, 2 DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo quadcopters and 8 car tires were sent  to the A1008 military unit (2nd rifle battalion).

Zakarpattia oblast

Representatives of media and communicators of authorities, structures and institutions of the oblast passed the training on providing psychological first aid and basic stress resistance skills. The event was organized as part of the All-Ukrainian mental health support program How are You?, which is implemented on the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Vasyl Virastiuk, People’s Deputy. Proposals for holding sports events for servicemen, veterans and their families were discussed.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast is one of 5 oblasts where, with the financial support of the German government, housing will be built for people who lost their homes due to the war. It is about the project “Improving the housing conditions of internally displaced persons in the East of Ukraine”, within the framework of which it is planned to build a building for 200 apartments in Kolomyia region. Social housing is designed for IDP and local residents of vulnerable categories, who will be able to take advantage of affordable long-term rentals.

Lviv oblast

On Unity Day, residents of the city of Pustomyty organized a charity auction in support of defenders. According to preliminary estimates, UAH 1 mln 228,9K were collected at the event.

The Ukrainian diaspora of the Canadian city of Vancouver purchased a DJI Mavic 3 classic drone equipped with high-quality cameras and a long range to the 202nd battalion of the 103rd separate territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to monitor the movement of enemy equipment and adjust artillery fire. This is not the first time that Ukrainians in Canada have joined the fundraising and purchase of equipment for our military, which is defending Ukraine from the occupiers.

Lesia Hryb , mother of the deceased Andrii Hryb, soldier of the 77th separate airmobile brigade, donated UAH 100K to OPIR Sambir volunteer association for purchase of FPV drones. Thus, Lesia decided to take revenge for her son’s death and help his military brothers destroy the enemy. With these funds, 6 drones with reinforced batteries have already been purchased and handed over.

Volunteers from Buska community once again set out to help the military in Donetsk oblast. This time, the team will deliver quadcopters, camouflage nets, food and warm things to the needs of the defenders.

Drohobych region sent 3 cars to the defenders as part of the 50 Francomobiles for Victory initiative, which is implemented jointly with KOLO CF. Also, the Security Union of the Administration Anticorruption NGO sent one car to the military.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne oblast, efforts are being made to identify drug gangs, suspicious persons, and curfew violators. In particular, security measures will be strengthened in hotels. This was discussed during a meeting with hotel managers.

Podlaskie Voivodeship sent 76 pieces of equipment, included, refrigerators, washing machines and generators, to Rivne oblast. All equipment was distributed among 24 medical, communal and social institutions of the oblast.

Oleksandr Bohatyrov, Head of the police of Varas region, sent the starlink necessary for frontline communication for the military. Ivanna, wife of Andrii Moroz, fallen Hero from Zdolbuniv region, sent a DJI Mavic drone to the 56th Separate Territorial Defense Battalion.

Ternopil oblast

Volunteers of Army Aid from Ternopil center went to Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts to bring parcels to the Heroes at the front. In addition, the City Council sent wires, hoses, air compressors, electrodes, pneumatic gun, semi-automatic welding machine, angle grinders, drills, cordless screwdrivers, a jack, cutting wheels, grinding wheels, welding mask and gloves, worth almost UAH 54K.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi oblast sent four SUVs to the anti-aircraft machine gun battalion of the oblast. In addition, the unit received reconnaissance and communication equipment, self-powered devices, multifunctional electronic devices and surveillance equipment, thanks to Novodunaievetsk, Dunaievetsk communities, Modul-Ukraine LLC and GM Group holding.

Chernivtsi oblast

Bohdan Kosmirak is a soldier of the 1st mountain assault company of Edelveis 108th separate mountain assault battalion of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade. In the battle against the Wagners near Spirn, Donetsk oblast, he received seven bullet wounds, but managed to resist and repulse the attack of occupiers. He miraculously survived. Therefore, he underwent a course of treatment and rehabilitation. Despite the possibility of demobilization, the soldier returned to the ranks of the army and continued to defend the Motherland. For his courage and indomitability, Bohdan was awarded with the Cross of the Brave honorary badge by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Ukraine received almost $50 mln from Japan to repair damaged housing. The funds of the grant will be used to reimburse the costs of the state budget, used for compensatory payments to owners of houses for repairs in apartment buildings and private houses that have suffered moderate damage and do not require major repairs.

The US and Canada sent special equipment for demining territories worth $1 million to the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine.

Ukraine and Japan signed 56 documents within the framework of the Conference on Economic Development and Reconstruction in Tokyo. Specifically, they relate to avoiding double taxation, restoring Ukraine’s infrastructure, demining, developing agriculture, improving the humanitarian situation, cooperation in the field of education and technology, as well as documents in the field of energy, telecommunications, construction and ecology.

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reports that EBRD and Italy will provide Ukrhidroenerho with €200 mln in loans for the restoration of hydropower plants. According to the agreement, the loan funds will be directed to the purchase of critical equipment for Dnipro and Middle Dnipro hydroelectric power plants, as well as to the provision of emergency liquidity support to Ukrhidroenerho to ensure the sustainability of the company’s work.

Yoko Kamikawa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, stated that the country intends to attract private sector support to continue long-term assistance to Ukraine, which repels large-scale military aggression by russia.

Annalena Burbock, Head of the German Foreign Ministry, stated that the new 13th package of sanctions targets russian production of UAVs and should be adopted as soon as possible. “putin failed to turn Ukraine into a russian province. Ukraine and the EU are now closer to each other than ever before. Our support will last as long as it takes,” Berbok added.

Vitalii Koval, Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, met with Lee Tekin, Head of the Ukrainian office of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). They discussed the issue of strengthening the institutional capacity of the Fund and enterprises under the management of the FSMU.

Documentary 20 Days in Mariupol by Mstyslav Chernov, from Kharkiv, won the BAFTA Award for Best Documentary. On stage, during his speech, Mstyslav Chernov spoke about Avdiivka.
