It has been the 653rd day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm: 

The russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, they did not abandon its plans for the full occupation of Ukraine. The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, launches strikes, and shells both military and civilian targets.

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

There were 77 combat engagements. The enemy launched 27 missiles and 27 air strikes, carried out 49 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. The russian occupiers have struck Ukraine using 20 Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles, an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 6 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 14 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles. As a result of russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation didn’t  change. There were no signs of offensive groups formation. Certain units of the belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the russian federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. About 15 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Loknia, Iskryskivshchyna, Hrabovske, Seredyna Buda of the Sumy oblast, Huriv Kozachok, Veterynarne, Hraniv of the Kharkiv oblast. 

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled 9 enemy attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Ivanivka of Kharkiv oblast. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Petropavlivka and Podoly of Kharkiv oblast. About 10 settlements, in particular, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Petropavlivka, Berestove of Kharkiv oblast, were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Lyman, the armed forces repelled the attack of the enemy, who tried to push back our units from the occupied lines in Spirne area of  Donetsk oblast. In addition, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Serebrianskyi forestry in Luhansk oblast and Serebrianka in Donetsk oblast. Over 10 settlements suffered from artillery and mortar shelling by the occupiers, including Nevske, Bilohorivka of Luhansk oblast and Yampolivka, Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhnokamianske of Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, Ukrainian armed forces repelled 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klischiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk oblast. The enemy conducted an air strike in the Chasiv Yar area of Kharkiv oblast. Over 10 settlements were shelled with artillery and mortar fire, namely Bohdanivka, Ivanivska, Klischiivka, Andriivka of Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, our defenders repelled 32 enemy attacks in the areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske of Donetsk oblast, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy also launched an airstrike in the Lastochkine area of Donetsk oblast. About 10 settlements were shelled with enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Berdychi, Avdiivka, Stepove, Tonenke, Nevelske of Donetsk oblast.

Towards Marinka, the armed forces continue to restrain the enemy, who in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk oblast, with the support of aviation, carried out 20 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our defenders. Such settlements of Donetsk region as Hostre, Mariinka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka were shelled with artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations. About 10 settlements, namely Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Urozhaine of Donetsk oblast, were hit with artillery and mortar attacks.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the armed forces repelled all enemy attacks in the area west of Verbove of Zaporizhzhia oblast. Over 20 settlements, Charivne, Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Mala Tokmachka, Piatykhatky, Kamianske of  Zaporizhzhia oblast, were hit with artillery and mortar shelling.

Towards Kherson, the city of Kherson and Ivanivka of Kherson oblast were hit by enemy artillery fire. The Armed Forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson oblast. They continue to inflict fire damage on the enemy.

Units of rocket forces and artillery inflicted damage on 3 areas of buildup of personnel, weapons and military equipment and 1 enemy electronic warfare station.


500 medics are in the russian captivity. Russia once again  violated the Geneva Conventions, because according to them, medical personnel can be detained only to provide medical assistance.

Almost 800 million hryvnias have been allocated for demining and fortification equipment. 759 million hryvnias will be used to purchase automotive equipment and 29 million hryvnias for special equipment.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the invaders shelled Kharkiv 6 times,  preliminary with S-300 missiles. Kholodnohirskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts were hit. One person received medical assistance on the spot. Residential buildings, a playground, an educational institution and about 20 cars were damaged.

At 12:46 am an enemy attacked, preliminary with KAB, Kurylivka, Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, two floors of a 5-storey residential building were burning.

At around 4 pm on 7 December, there was a shelling of Podoly, Kupiansk region. Three civilians were injured: a man of 56 years old and women of 50 and 69 years old. 

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 enemy attacks near Synkivka.

Four communities of Kharkiv oblast received specialised equipment for utility companies. The equipment was provided through the cooperation of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, German Federal Agency for Technical Assistance and the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Foundation Project. 

Dina Nosova has been appointed starosta of Petropillia starosta community, which includes Hroza village, Kupiansk region. The former starosta, Oleksandr Nechvolod, was attending the wake in the cafe that was hit by russian troops on 5 October. He was reported missing and identified by DNA.

Vitalii Miroshnik, Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv for Housing and Communal Services, stated that as a result of russian night attacks on Kharkiv, 12 buildings were damaged and more than 500 windows broken. Heat has been restored in all of these buildings. Six buildings were cut off from gas supply and three of them have already been restored.

Volodymyr Fito, Head of the public relations service of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed that russian invaders are deploying additional forces near Kupiansk and preparing for new assaults on Ukrainian positions.

According to him, russians use the equipment as transport or for fire support but due to the large number of Ukrainian drones, it’s destroyed immediately.

A centre for social and psychological assistance was opened in Balakliia. This is the first institution in the de-occupied part of Kharkiv oblast to provide assistance to victims of domestic violence. The project was implemented in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine (UNFPA), the Government of Belgium and the Initsyatyva Charitable Foundation.

Donetsk oblast

Referring to the press service of Donetsk police, 8 settlements were under enemy attacks: Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Toretsk cities, Zhelanne settlement, Elyzavetivka, Novobakhmutivka, Novopokrovske and Soloviove villages. 8 civilian objects were destroyed: 3 residential buildings, a school, an outpatient clinic and critical infrastructure.

Also russians hit Toretsk with three KAB-250 bombs, injuring a man. An apartment building, an outpatient clinic and critical infrastructure were damaged.

Two private buildings were damaged due to shelling of Elyzavetivka. 

The enemy shelled Zhelanne with Smerch and Grad multiple rocket launchers. There was no information on casualties or destruction.

Search operations in Novohrodivka have been completed. Criminologists have identified all members of the family killed by a russian missile. One of the body fragments found at the site of the shelling belonged to a 33-year-old woman who had been searched for a week. The deceased was identified through DNA analysis. Earlier, police identified her husband and 8-year-old daughter. In total, russian missile killed 5 people: a young family and two men aged 62 and 55.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the enemy concentrated towards Kupiansk but also conducted several attacks towards Lyman, south of Nevske, namely near Terny in Donetsk oblast. The invaders tried to capture the positions of our defenders but not a single attempt was successful.

Once the weather conditions stabilise, the enemy increases the pressure from the air right away. For instance, yesterday they launched an air strike on Serebrianka forestry.

Also russians launched 521 shells at the positions of the Defence Forces and settlements near the front line in our area of responsibility.

Nevske and Bilohorivka were targeted.

The situation with medical care in Luhansk oblast occupied last year is catastrophic. This applies not only to the frontline areas but also to those located several dozens of kilometres from the frontline. Doctors have either evacuated or are forced to work in military hospitals set up by the invaders. There is almost no one to help the civilian population. Thus, a medical landing crew gathered from different regions of russian federation was brought to Markivka region. The tourists are accommodated in a local multi-disciplinary hospital. This team also travels to the surrounding villages. In the neighbouring Novopskov, mostly retired doctors have remained to work in their speciality. The medical facility lacks reagents so they don’t even take tests.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv RMA reported that this morning the enemy attacked Kyiv oblast with rockets. The air alert lasted more than 1.5 hours. No hits to critical or residential infrastructure were recorded, and there were no casualties. As the KCMA reported, Air Defense Forces shot down all enemy missiles on the approach to Kyiv.

The head of Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko reported that 3 private houses in two regions of the oblast were damaged as a result of falling fragments of downed missiles. In the houses, windows and doors were broken, facades were cut, walls were partially destroyed. The work to eliminate the consequences of the russian attack and the collection of information about the necessary assistance to the residents of the damaged buildings is ongoing.

Baroness Helena Kennedy, a well-known human rights, civil liberties and child protection lawyer, director of the Human Rights Institute of the International Association of Lawyers, arrived in Kyiv on December 7. Kennedy heads an international expert group as part of the Bring Kids Back UA plan and arrived in the capital to participate in a series of events related to the illegal deportation of more than 19,000 Ukrainian children.

Irpin city council reported that free training of the civilian population in tactical, engineering, fire, and psychological training continues in the community. The courses are conducted by instructors of the Voluntary Formation of the Irpin City Territorial Community and the Municipal Guard.

Theater and film actor Vasyl Kuharskyi died in the hospital after being seriously wounded during hostilities in September. Vasyl was an actor of the Kyiv Academic Drama Theater in Podil and starred in dozens of films and series, in particular, in the film “Maxim Osa and the Gold of Werewolf “, where he played the main role. He joined the ranks of the Armed Forces from the first days of the full-scale war.

On December 7, Kyiv hosted a commemoration evening for Stepan Chubenko, a 16-year-old teenager from Kramatorsk who was shot by pro-russian militants in the summer of 2014. According to the investigation, confirmed in the Ukrainian court, Stepan was tortured and shot by fighters of the “Kerch” battalion for his pro-Ukrainian position. He was posthumously awarded the Order “National Hero of Ukraine” and the Order “For Courage” III degree. The memory of the fallen boy was commemorated in the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr RMA reported that in the Zhytomyr Korolev Military Institute, a restored museum that was previously damaged by russian bombings was opened for visitors. A department has appeared in the museum, which depicts events starting with the first day of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the russian invaders.

In Romaniv, female volunteers started the “Coffee for a Soldier” project and collected more than 600,000 hryvnias in eight months to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The money is given to three local volunteer organizations.

Sumy oblast

 Sumy RMA reported that the russians carried out 6 shellings of the border territories and settlements of the oblast, a total of 24 explosions were recorded. Three communities were shelled: Krasnopillia – 11 artillery hits, Bilopillia – small arms fire (12 rounds), Seredyna-Buda – 13 mortar hits.

During the past day, the russian military carried out 17 shellings of the border region. A total of 61 explosions were recorded – mortar and artillery attacks, strikes by FPV drones, dropping of VOG from UAVs. 9 communities were under enemy shelling: Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Khotyn, Yunakivka, Mykolaivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Shalyhine, Seredina-Buda.

The head of Sumy RMA Volodymyr Artyukh announced that over the past two months, 64 civilians, including 4 children, were killed in the oblast due to russian shelling. Also, according to him, 79 wounded people were recorded as a result of russian shelling of the border.

Sumy RMA reported that the construction of fortifications is intensifying in the oblast. The progress of work in the Shostka region was checked – construction crews work around the clock, there is enough equipment.

Sumy RMA reported that the UNHCR and its partners reached out to more than 125,000 residents of the oblast this year. At the meeting with the delegation of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Ukraine, representatives of the RMA discussed further assistance and future directions of cooperation.

Chernihiv oblast

During the past 24 hours, russian troops fired 31 mortar strikes and 31 shots from AGS along the border of Chernihiv oblast. Four communities of the oblast were under enemy shellng: Novhorod-Siverskyi – 4 mortar hits; Semenivka – 3 mortar hits; Snovsk – 24 mortar hits and 16 AGS hits; Horodnyanka – 15 shots from AGS.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that a russian soldier who took a child hostage during the temporary seizure of the territory of Chernihiv oblast was sentenced to 12 years in prison. The investigation established that on March 19, 2022, the russian military kidnapped a 15-year-old boy in one of the villages of the Chernihiv region. They illegally detained him for four days in order to force his mother, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to provide information about the location of Ukrainian military units.

Serhii Dedenko, the head of the Semenivka community, said that a modular shelter was installed in the city park of the border town of Semenivka. The shelter was provided by the “Social Assistance and Support” charitable foundation.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropertovsk Oblast Council announced that over Dnipropetrovsk oblast the Air Force shot down 5 enemy Shahed in Pavlohrad and Synelnyk districts. As for shelling at night the occupiers attacked Nikopol district with artillery. They hit the Chervonohryhoriv community.

The enemy hit the oblast with missiles and shelled Nikopol three times with artillery. One person was killed as a result of a missile strike in Pavlohrad district. 8 people from 32 to 66 years old were injured. An educational institution, industrial buildings, 17 private houses, 5 country houses, 9 farm buildings, a church, power lines, gas pumps and a car were damaged. A local resident was also injured in Nikopol. An 86-year-old woman was hospitalized in a moderate condition.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia City Council reports that the Interregional Coordination Humanitarian Headquarter Kryla (Wings) from Vinnytsia to Donetsk region sent another aid to the border guards. The next batch includes five thousand chemical heaters that maintain a temperature of 52 degrees for 20 hours, army thermoses and a powerful Ukrainian-made unmanned aircraft complex.

Kirovohrad oblast

Dobrovelychkiv settlement council reported that charity fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was held in Dobrovelichkivka village in Kirovohrad oblast, during which 225,340 UAH were collected. At the fair funds were collected for the purchase of parts for the assembly of kamikaze drones for the soldiers of the 57th, 41st and 121st brigades.

Poltava oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA announced that the Sklifosovskyi regional hospital received two generators, medicines, hygiene products, tools and consumables. Also food products – flour, sugar, oil and cereals. In total, nine pallets of rubber goods with a total value of 700,000 UAH. All this was sent by the AISM Ukraine International Charitable Foundation. This is already the fifth batch of such assistance from the organization for the institution. Generators with a capacity of 4 and 2.7 kW will be used in the event of a power outage at the oxygen supply points.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA reported that in Cherkasy oblast the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has set up 8 shelters in regional schools. It is known that educational institutions were provided with generators in case of power outages.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday, occupiers launched 82 attacks on 20 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Enemy UAVs targeted Huliaipole, Novodarivka, Levadne, and Mala Tokmachka, the village of Dolynka was shelled with multiple rocket launcher shelling. A total of 72 artillery strikes hit the areas of Zaliznychne, Robotyne, Poltavka, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Luhivske, Novodanylivka, Kamianske, Piatyhatky, Lobkove, and other frontline towns and villages. There were 6 reports of residential buildings and economic structures damaged. Civilians were unharmed.

Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 8 enemy attacks in areas west of Verbovo and Robotyne towards Zaporizhzhia. Meanwhile,  Ukrainian defenders continue to inflict losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, wearing down the enemy along the entire front line towards Melitopol.

The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) is only operational from one power transmission line. Due to damage to power transmission lines on the night of December 2, a blackout occurred at the power plant. Ukrainian experts restored the 750 kV line in five hours, but the last backup line at 330 kV is still disconnected. The restoration of the second line is promised at the beginning of next week. Currently, the fourth reactor is back in hot shutdown mode, while the other five remain in cold shutdown mode.

Prosecutor General’s Office reported that investigators discovered 18 torture chambers in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Almost 90% of prisoners and detainees suffer torture or violence. All cases are recorded by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies in criminal proceedings.

Zaporizhzhia RMA signed a memorandum of cooperation with the charitable foundation “Premier Urgans International,” which provides assistance to people affected by the war. Mobile medical teams from the international organization are already operating in some communities in the region. The plans of coopeation include support for the reconstruction of hospitals damaged by armed aggression and the provision of medication, conducting training for medical personnel, and providing humanitarian aid.

Mykolaiv oblast

On December 7, the russian army struck the city of Ochakiv and the waters of Ochakiv community in Mykolaiv oblast. Shelling was also reported in the villages of Dmytrivka and Solonchaky in Kutsurub community. No casualties have been reported. This information was provided by the head of the Mykolaiv RMA, Vitalii Kim.

State Emergency Service’s pyrotechnic units conduct demining operations on the territory of Mykolaiv oblast on a daily basis. As of December 8, 9 pyrotechnic teams are involved in demining work in Mykolaiv oblast. Alongside Mykolaiv sappers, specialists from Kyiv and Rivne oblasts, namely the 2nd and 3rd Special Rapid Response Centers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, are also involved in demining efforts. Currently, 6 medical teams are operating in the region. Since the beginning of the russian invasion, the State Emergency Service’s pyrotechnic units have detected and destroyed 21,561 munitions, including 62 aviation bombs.

Odesa oblast

Rescue workers in the Izmail region have received a new all-terrain vehicle, as announced by the head of the Izmail Regional Military Administration, Rodion Abashev. The all-terrain vehicle can be used for emergency situations and rescuing people in snowdrifts, on loose soils, and water obstacles. The State Emergency Service in Odesa oblast added that colleagues from the State Emergency Service in Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts recently handed over two “Bohun” snow and swamp vehicles to strengthen their operations.

Volunteers from the Charitable Foundation Adzhalik have donated a portion of kindness to Odesa Children’s City Hospital No. 3. This information was shared by the head of the foundation, Serhiy Kryvenko. The assistance came from caring Ukrainians Veronica Toma and Andrii Pustovoi from the United States. The Adzhalik Foundation provides assistance not only to the Ukrainian Armed Forces but also to internally displaced persons and residents of villages who have fallen below the poverty line.

Kherson oblast

Yesterday, the enemy conducted 54 shelling attacks, firing 407 projectiles from mortars, artillery, Grad MLRS, anti-tank guided missiles, tanks, UAVs, and aircraft, including 2 rocket strikes. The city of Kherson was targeted with 17 projectiles. Due to russian aggression, 6 people sustained injuries. The police recorded 22 war crimes committed by russian occupiers against the civilian population.

The enemy launched 2 rocket attacks on the agricultural and industrial infrastructure of Kherson oblast. The adversary continues to drop various modifications of shrapnel projectiles from UAVs. Eight such drops were carried out on populated areas such as Antonivka, Kherson, and Novoberyslav. Occupiers targeted populated areas in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions 11 times, and Kherson itself was shelled 4 times. Dniprovske and Tiahynka in the region were also subject to shelling. As a result of the enemy’s criminal actions, an ammonia pipeline of one enterprise, an administrative building, apartment buildings, and private houses were damaged. The consequences of the destruction of the ammonia pipeline have been eliminated.

The enemy is fortifying positions and attempting to bring certain reserves there in the responsibility zone of the Southern Defense Forces. The number of observation points and firing positions has increased, and pressure on the right bank continues with artillery shelling, and the use of drones has intensified. However, there are no signs of the formation of offensive groupings. The defense forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, conduct counter-battery combat, and deliver fire strikes on enemy positions and rear areas.

The Southern Defense Forces continue to fulfill fire tasks. Over the past day, the enemy lost 23 occupiers, 3 howitzers, 11 units of automotive equipment, and 1 boat. A field supply point and 2 observation points were destroyed.

Underground medical complexes will be created based on two medical institutions. One of the facilities will have an underground perinatal center with delivery and postpartum units, rooms with an intensive care unit, and an operating room. The second project is an underground clinical hospital with an operating room and a resuscitation unit. All this will be located in a bomb shelter. Projects to equip operating rooms in shelters have already been implemented in Kherson oblast. In total, 12 medical institutions on the right bank have renovated shelters.

Today, Grace Longino Rvegoshora, the Head of the Population Protection Department of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, visited Kherson oblast. She handed over 645 laptops, which will be received by students from 76 schools on the right bank. Special attention will be given to students in vulnerable categories.

With the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross, 87 children were successfully evacuated from areas with the most complex security situation. Along with the children, 14 adults were also evacuated. Volunteers delivered necessary items for evacuees, including food, hygiene, and kitchen kits, as well as blankets.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

18 councils of IDPs have been established in Volyn. The IDP Council is a consultative and advisory body that unites IDPs with a proactive civic position, relevant experience and knowledge to more effectively protect the rights and interests of IDPs in the oblast.

Zakarpattia oblast

18 candidates passed the 1st stage of selection for veterans’ assistants in Zkarpattih. Interviews are next. Berehivsk, Vynogradivsk, Velikoluchkivsk, Dubivsk, Zhdeniivsk, Rakhivsk and Uzhhorod communities were selected to participate in the pilot initiative of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that the city sent drones to the 80th separate amphibious assault brigades.

The monthly salary of Ruslan Martsinkiv, Head of Ivano-Frankivsk, and his deputies was donated to the needs of the military. UAH 323 578 was received from their salaries to the account of the My City of Ivano-Frankivsk CF. With this funds, 20 FPV drones were purchased. 10 of them have already been sent to the 102nd brigade in Zaporizhzhie oblast. Another 10 will be transferred to Avdiyiv region.

Lviv oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Teresa Healy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to Ukraine. They discussed the need to create assisted living centers and support existing social institutions. There are 30K elderly people and over 10 people with disabilities who were evacuated to the region due to russia’s military operations.

In the village of Verkhniy Dorozhiv, a former kindergarten was turned into a home for displaced people thanks to funds of the village council, the MHP Community fund and the Red Cross Society.

The Association of Ukrainians in Kassel and its surroundings and the Department of Aid to Ukraine under the Maltese Aid Service of the city of Kassel delivered charitable aid, namely, hospital beds, mattresses, bedside cabinets, cots, walkers and necessary medicines, to Strii Maternity Hospital.

The International Medical Corps organization brought humanitarian aid for IDPs who are registered and live in Morshyn Community. They provided 250 sets of hygiene products, weighing 20 kilograms each.

In Rava-Ruska community, over 200 food kits for IDPs from the Right to Protection CF were distributed. Also, representatives of this fund sent humanitarian aid, including, bedding, pans, hygiene products, thermoses, and lanterns, to 50 families of IDPs in Mostyska and Sudovovyshnyanska communities.

During the mixed martial arts tournament, almost UAH 60K were collected to purchase a drone for a fighter from the Omega special forces.

Drohobych military unit received a bus from Drohobych RMA, Drohobych Regional Territorial Center for Supply and Social Services, and the Transsity transportation company. Three more cars for the Armed Forces were sent by Drohobych RMA and the KOLO CF.

Rivne oblast

In Varasha created a new patriotic mural with a military serviceman holding a girl’s hand and the image of Apostle Andrew the First-Called – the patron saint of Ukraine. The drawing is a personification of memory of the past and unity for the sake of the future. The mural was created by local artists for over a week, including the workers of Rivne NPP.

20 FPV drones were sent from Horodotsk community for one of the tank brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Velikoomelyansk community sent the 6th quadcopter from the community. The kindergarten Dzvinochok in the city of Zdolbuniv also sent drones. Rivne, Varaska, Zarichnenska and Sarnenska communities recently held tenders for the purchase of a quadcopter.

Ternopil oblast

At the request of the commanders of the military units, Ternopil City Council sent 21 more batteries for the total amount of UAH 89 501 to the military units of Ternopil community

Servicemen of the regional administration of Territorial Defense Forces Zahid received a car from the partner city Barut/Mark. The car will be sent to combat positions and will be used for cargo transportation.

The Main Directorate of the National Police in Ternopil oblast received a DJI Mavis 3T quadcopter and a Renault car. Equipment and cars were purchased with the funds of the city budget as part of the program for ensuring the defense capability of the military formations of Ternopil Garrison and the military conscription of Ternopil Community.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The President of Ukraine awarded the Order of Merit III degree to Mykola Melnychuk, mayor from Starokostyantyniv. The corresponding decree of November 7 was published on the official portal of the head of state.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Colonel Oleh Shemchuk, Head of the Territorial Defense Forces Zahid Regional Directorate. They discussed ensuring the effective operation of the 107th separate brigade of Territorial Defense Forces, in particular, issues of logistical support, problems and opportunities for solving them.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

In December, all 14 ordered Vampire complexes and the first APKWS missiles equipped with a non-contact detonator will be delivered to Ukraine from the US. Vampire complexes were designed to detect and intercept drones.

The Embassy of Australia in Ukraine reported that Australia sent a new batch of Bushmaster armored personnel carriers to Ukraine by Christmas.

The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the United States Department of Defense on joint production and exchange of technical data. The document provides that Ukraine will receive the capabilities necessary for success on the battlefield in the near term, and in the long term will contribute to economic recovery and strengthening of defense capabilities.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of Spain. They discussed security issues and Ukraine’s progress in completing the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission on the eve of the European Council meeting.

Merrick Garland,US Attorney General, reported that four russian soldiers were indicted for torturing an American in Ukraine. According to court documents, russian soldiers kidnapped an American from a house in the village of Mylovo, Kherson oblast, beat and tortured him for 10 days in April 2022.

The US introduced sanctions against belarus for helping the russian federation and deporting Ukrainian children. The US Treasury Department’s Foreign Assets Control Office has added 11 legal entities and eight individuals to the list of sanctions.

The United Kingdom will introduce a series of sanctions against foreign suppliers that export military equipment and parts to russia. Sanctions against individuals and groups of suppliers are designed to deprive putin of the resources necessary for his illegal war in Ukraine.

The United Kingdom expanded the sanctions list against the belarusian regime. 17 representatives of the belarusian judicial system came under British restrictive measures, including judges, prosecutors and investigators involved in politically motivated cases against activists, independent journalists and human rights defenders.

Marcel Colacu, Romanian Prime Minister, announced that the country offered the Lockheed Martin American company to create a joint center for maintenance and repair of F-16 fighters on its territory.
