It has been the 554th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On August 31, the russian army launched 1 missile and 31 air strikes, fired 52 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops’ positions and settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed. 

There is still a high threat of missile and air strikes across Ukraine.

There were 25 combat clashes over the day.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation remained unchanged.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 20 settlements, including Sosnivka in Chernihiv oblast, Seredyna-Buda, Romashkove, Shalyhine, Nova Sloboda in Sumy oblast, and Vovchansk, Khrypuny, Karaichne, Mala Vovcha, Budarky in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy launched an airstrike near Kotliarivka, Kharkiv oblast. The settlements of Borova, Kupiansk, and Kyslivka in Kharkiv oblast were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.

Towards Lyman, the enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of Cherneshchyna in Kharkiv oblast, Novoiehorivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast. The enemy’s artillery shelling affected more than 10 settlements, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Razdolivka, Verkhnekamianske, and Fedorivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of Bila Hora and Niu York in Donetsk oblast. More than 15 settlements suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Minkivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske and Pivnichne in Donetsk oblast. 

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy fired artillery and mortar shells at the settlements of Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Sievierne and Pervomaiske in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Marinka, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the russian offensive in the vicinity of Marinka, Donetsk oblast. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Novomykhailivka. There was an airstrike near Krasnohorivka. The settlements of Krasnohorvika, Pobieda, Marinka, Kurakhovo, Novomykhailivka, and Katerynivka in Donetsk oblast came under artillery fire.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy conducted airstrikes near Vuhledar and Staromaiorske in Donetsk oblast. The enemy’s artillery shelling affected s Vodiane, Bohoiavlenka, Prechystivka, Blahodatne, and Urozhaine in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Orikhove in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy’s artillery shelling affected more than 15 settlements, including Novodarivka, Olhivske, Chervone, Huliaipole, Lobkove, and Plavni in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Towards Kherson, the enemy fired artillery and mortars at the settlements of Stanislav, Veletynske, Antonivka in Kherson oblast.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations towards Melitopol, consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery operations.

Ukrainian aviation of the defense forces conducted 12 strikes on buildups of personnel and 4 on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. 

Ukrainian rocket and artillery units destroyed 1 artillery vehicle at a firing position and 2 enemy radar stations.


President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports that Ukrainian long-range weapons were successfully used for hitting the target 700 kilometers away. 

Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation, reports that more than 1000 UAVs and 30 Ukrainian-made robotic systems are being sent to the frontline. They include 25 Sablia remote-controlled combat turrets, 5 Rys ground platforms, 900 FPV drones, and more than 100 Mavic and Matrice drones.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Illia Yevlash, Head of the Press Service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that there were 13 combat engagements towards Lyman and Kupiansk over the day. The enemy launched 495 artillery shells and conducted 15 air raids.

Several russian artillery systems were destroyed, including D-20 and D-30 howitzers, various self-propelled artillery systems and seven drones. Two T-90 Proryv tanks were also destroyed yesterday. The occupation forces suffered 141 casualties.

Kharkiv oblast 

As a result of the artillery shelling at 10:30 am, a man born in 1962 was injured and hospitalized.  There was damage to non-residential premises, administrative buildings and private buildings.

Also russian troops conducted an airstrike near Kotliarivka and Cherneshchyna. According to the General Staff, eight settlements were shelled, including Vovchansk and Kupiansk.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that at around 5 am the enemy shelled Borova settlement, Izium region, a 48-year-old man was injured and hospitalized.

Last night around midnight, the enemy shelled Vilkhivka village, Kupiansk region, damaging an abandoned building and causing a fire.

Yesterday the enemy shelled settlements of Bohodukhiv, Izium, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions with cannon and rocket artillery, mortars and other weapons.

As a result of the shelling of Osynove village, Kupiansk region, a fire broke out at a landfill.

In Kupiansk, the shelling damaged a private building and caused a fire.

As a result of shelling from MRLs in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region, at least 2 private buildings, outbuildings, four garages and a car were damaged and fires broke out.

A guided bomb hit Shyikivka village, Izium region, damaged power lines and a gas pipe.

A building was damaged as a result of a strike with cluster munitions from Uragan MRLs in Zahryzlove village, Izium region.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 8 hectares of territory and defused 59 explosive ordnance.

Power engineers of Kharkivoblenerho JSC restored electricity supply to the first residents in Ruski Tyshky village, Kharkiv region. During the hostilities and russian occupation, the power grid supplying Ruski Tyshky was destroyed by almost 90%.

Press service of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that three russian soldiers, who raped a girl during the occupation, will be tried in absentia in Dzerzhynsk District Court of Kharkiv and will face up to 12 years in prison.

The lion Bert and the lioness Kaliia, who were evacuated to Kharkiv Zoo in spring 2022, were returned to Feldman Ecopark. According to Oleksii Kolendovskyi, Chief of the predators sector, two lion cubs were born during the evacuation.

Donetsk oblast

Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, informs that russian forces killed 2 civilians: in Bahatyr and Chasiv Yarr. Five more people were wounded in the oblast over the day.

Around midnight, russians shelled Sloviansk community, killing 1 person and damaging the building of an enterprise in Myrne. The outskirts of Druzhkivka community are also under fire, with no casualties.

Towards Volnovakha, russians shelled two streets in Shakhtarske of Velyka Novosilka community.

Towards Donetsk, 2 people were wounded in Zavitne of Novohrodivka community. The outskirts of Kurakhove, Marinka and Ocheretyne communities are under fire. There were sporadic attacks in Avdiivka during the night. Selydivka community was hit by missile attacks – no casualties.

Towards Horlivka, 10 houses were damaged in Toretske community: 5 in Pivnichne, 3 in Petrivka and 2 in Shcherbynivka. In Chasiv Yar community, 5 multi-storey buildings and 5 private houses were damaged. In Soledar community, Fedorivka, Vasiukivka and Rozdolivka are under fire.

Luhansk oblast

The enemy continues to attack the positions of the Ukrainian military – the pressure has only intensified over the past week. In some areas, the Ukrainian military advanced to more favorable positions. The russians concentrated their artillery shelling on peaceful settlements. Yesterday, the enemy attacked Nevske alone 22 times, destroying a house and wounding a man.

Over the last day, russians opened fire 39 times on the de-occupied territories of Luhansk oblast.

Ukrainian villages are under constant shelling – 8 hits were recorded in Nevske alone. However,  hygiene kits were delivered there and to the neighboring Novolyubivka. They were given to 68 local residents who still live there.

The enemy again tried to break through Ukrainian defense near Novoiehorivka and Bilohorivka.

The russian army also increased artillery pressure, with air strikes on Nadiia, Tverdokhlibove, Novoiehorivka, and Bilohorivka. Artillery and mortar attacks also hit Kreminna and Kuzmine.

Occupied Rubizhne continues to survive without mobile communications and the Internet. Since last spring, nothing has been restored in the city. Even the so-called “first elections”, which are just days away, do not stimulate local collaborators. They dismantle boiler houses in the city because there is still money to be made there, and they do not touch the rubble of houses and industrial facilities destroyed by the russians. In many places, according to the residents, there are bodies of people. However, the russians and traitors don’t care about them, just like they don’t care about the city.

Today, the feat of the Luhansk airport defenders is being honored. The defense lasted 146 days in almost complete encirclement.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyar, reports that in the north, russian troops continue shelling populated areas from the territory of the russian federation and conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities in violation of the state border of Ukraine. The enemy maintains a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine, keeping three groups of troops in Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions to restrain Ukrainian troops and prevent their deployment to the areas of active combat operations.

Kyiv oblast

It will take several months to restore the capital’s supermarket in Darnytsia district, which was damaged by a russian missile on August 30. According to the official press release from supermarket management, the store will be temporarily closed. As a result of the impact of the Russian missile fragments, the roof, ventilation system, metal structures and part of the production workshops were damaged.

The seventh meeting of representatives of the President’s Office with foreign ambassadors was held in Kyiv oblast, dedicated to the Food Security item of the Peace Formula. More than 70 representatives of foreign countries took part in the event. The meeting took place on the premises of a bread-making company that suffered from a russian missile attack last year. The ambassadors were shown the consequences of the strike, including the destroyed shop and equipment, and inspected the plant’s production facilities, which are gradually being restored.

On the International Day of Enforced Disappearances, the Center for Civil Liberties held a rally “Voices” in the capital near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in support of civilian prisoners held in russia. The event featured a meeting with relatives of civilians held by russia, a performance by the Actors For Future team that showed the conditions in which civilians are held, and a presentation of a brochure with 50 real-life stories of civilian prisoners.

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that a russian serviceman who intimidated and robbed residents of Bobryk village, Brovary region, in March 2022, was sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison. It was proved in court that the convict, along with other russian military personnel, threatened civilians with physical violence in their private homes, beat and humiliated them, demanding that they hand over material assets.

According to Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, UNITED24 is already rebuilding 16 apartment buildings damaged by the russians in Kyiv oblast. In total, 18 houses will be restored in 4 communities (Hostomel, Dmytriv, Borodianka and Irpin), where more than 4,500 people lived before the war.

U-LEAD and the volunteer initiative Daring to Restore are actively rebuilding a school in Kyiv oblast, where repairs are at the final stage. The Rebuilding Local Schools for Resilience initiative is being implemented in three war-affected regions of Ukraine by U-LEAD with Europe with the support of the European Commission’s External Action Service.

According to Kyiv Regional State Administration, 18 digital educational centers have been created and are operating in the de-occupied communities of Kyiv oblast. Students who are unable to join online learning can visit centers for this purpose. 

The photo project Incredible was recently opened in Kyiv. The idea of the exhibition revolves around the stories of 10 border guards who were serving in Kyiv and Mariupol at the time of the full-scale invasion. The exhibition will run until September 3 at the Vilna art center, after which it will tour around Ukraine.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration informs that relevant departments of the administration, representatives of the State Emergency Service and the National Police, have worked out the procedure and increased the effectiveness of interaction in case of emergencies during martial law.

According to Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the RMA, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the number of equipped shelters in educational institutions in Zhytomyr oblast has increased more than 3 times. This year, almost 1200 schools in the oblast, or 88%, will work in a full-time format. Last year and this year, more than UAH 300 million was allocated from the regional budget alone to equip shelters in social institutions.

Within the framework of cooperation between Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration and UNICEF, 12 bomb shelters have been repaired and equipped in the oblast. In particular, international partners contributed to the renovation of storage facilities in three medical institutions – the Regional Children’s Hospital, Korosten City Children’s Hospital and the maternity ward of Zhytomyr City Hospital.

Sumy oblast

The regional military administration reported that at night and in the morning, the russians opened fire 5 times on the border of Sumy oblast. There were 6 mortar bombs and 36 artillery shells launched on the territory of Shalyhine community.

On August 30, the russians conducted 25 attacks. There were 211 explosions. Putivl, Velyka Pysarivka, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Khotin, and Seredyno-Buda communities were under enemy fire.

3 private houses and 2 private tractors were damaged in Putivl community as a result of mortar shelling.

Vehicles belonging to pig farm workers were damaged in Krasnopilia community due to enemy attack with a Kamikaze FPV UAV. Moreover, the enemy shelled the community with artillery, mortars and multiple rocket launchers.

Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, informed that local authorities, together with police and volunteers, evacuated more than 2,000 adults and nearly 500 children from the border communities of Sumy oblast. All people evacuated will receive aid from the state and international partners. People can take a free evacuation train that runs daily from Sumy to Kyiv and Kharkiv. 

Chernihiv oblast

Over the past day, the russians opened fire 11 times on border areas of Chernihiv oblast from their territory. According to the border guard detachment, there were 113 explosions. Novhorod-Siversk, Semenivka, Snovsk, and Horodnia communities were shelled.

The Department of Civil Protection and Defense reported that on August 30, as a result of enemy shelling, two houses caught fire in the oblast. In Hasychivka village, Chernihiv oblast, a fire broke out in an abandoned residential building, and in Buda-Vorobivska village, Novhorod-Siverskyi region, a fire destroyed an outbuilding and baths.

Chernihiv City Council informed that reconstruction of 78 high-rise buildings damaged by a russian missile attack on the city center on August 19 continues in Chernihiv. Roofs have already been repaired in 28 of the forty houses. The roofs of six buildings require major repairs, for which more than UAH 20 million has been allocated from the city budget.

The unified center for assistance to victims of the missile attack, which was launched in the city on August 21 and brought together 13 international organizations, has received 348 people who have applied for help as of yesterday. In the future, it will operate in a remote format. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the regional council, the russian occupiers attacked Velyka Mykhailivka community in Sinelnykove region. The shelling damaged two houses and a power line. In the afternoon, the occupiers shelled Nikopol with artillery. Four residential buildings, one outbuilding, two power lines and a gas pipeline were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia City Council reported that training on pre-hospital care for the injured were held in Vinnytsia. The experts explained and demonstrated how to apply a splint, stop bleeding, and free the victim’s airway in an accessible way for employees of the city council and community utilities. In addition, they showed the simplest tools that can be used. 

Anatolii Kaletnik, Deputy Head of the specialized department of the regional department of humanitarian policy reported that 23 schools in Vinnytsia oblast will work remotely during this school year, while the remaining 596 will work in a mixed mode. 

In Vinnytsia oblast, 286 school kits for children were assembled as part of the ‘Preparing for School Together’ campaign. The kits were handed over to children who escaped from the war and children of defenders.

Kirovohrad oblast

According to Andrii Raikovych, Head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Kirovohrad oblast is restoring Kherson oblast. Construction crews from four regions of the oblast are working in Mala Oleksandrivka. 75% of the houses have been restored. 

Poltava oblast

The United Nations Development Programme, together with the Government of Germany, has donated new sports complexes to Poltava oblast for children from families who have left the frontline cities. 

Cherkasy oblast

According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Cherkasy oblast, chemical rescuers practiced an algorithm of actions in the event of a chemical emergency. The exercise was attended by a radiation, chemical and biological protection team.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, said that sappers from units operating towards Zaporizhzhia defused five russian mines on the way of IAEA representatives to the Zaporizhzhia NPP. 

Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration reported that a 31-year-old man was injured as a result of artillery shelling by russian soldiers in Huliaipole. 

The Ukrainian defence forces succeeded near Novodanilivka-Novoprokopovka in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The Ukrainian military is now consolidating the gains made. 

On  August 30, the russian army launched 89 attacks on towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. There were 67 artillery strikes on the territory of Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Olhivske, Shcherbaky, Temyrivka, Kamianske, Stepove, Piatikhatky and other towns and villages on the frontline.

Mykolaiv oblast

Upon the initiative of the city authorities, a dedicated journey was orchestrated for the families of fallen soldiers hailing from Mykolaiv to the Austrian town of Kaprun. In Kaprun, these families participated in a recuperation program facilitated by the Mountain Seed Foundation, a non-profit organization that extends humanitarian and psychological assistance to children and families grappling with the impacts of war.

Save the Children has introduced a grant initiative aimed at rejuvenating and fostering economic growth in the war-affected regions of Mykolaiv oblast. Under this program, small enterprises will be eligible to receive a grant of $2,500. Interested parties are required to initially register and partake in a training session. During this training, participants will acquire hands-on knowledge on crafting business plans and preparing grant applications. Subsequent to the training, participants will have the opportunity to submit their grant applications.

Odesa oblast

The press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odesa oblast reported that the firefighters of Odesa oblast have bolstered their technical resources with a ladder truck and a tanker truck sourced from Germany. A 32-metre MAGIRUS aerial ladder, a vital piece of high-altitude equipment, addresses a significant need in Odesa. Equally crucial is the five-tonne VOLKAN tanker truck, serving as the primary apparatus for transporting fire brigades, tools, and water to emergency sites. The humanitarian assistance was facilitated by the German organization THW, which has been steadfastly supporting Ukraine since the onset of the war.

Shabska community in the southern part of Odesa oblast reported that a monument commemorating the fallen defenders of Ukraine was unveiled, bearing the inscription “Glory to the Heroes!”. This monument pays tribute to all the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our nation.

In the upcoming days, an Italian delegation will visit Ukraine to initiate the restoration of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa, which incurred damage from a missile strike by russian occupation forces. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani conveyed this information prior to an informal gathering of EU foreign ministers in Toledo, Spain.

Danylo Hazhev, young farmer from Vasylivka village in Bolhrad region, cultivates vegetables and contributes a portion of his sales proceeds to support the Ukrainian armed forces.

Kherson oblast

General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on August 31, towards Kherson, the russian army fired artillery and mortars at Stanislav, Veletynske and Antonivka. 

Over the past day, the russian army fired 85 times at Kherson oblast. 346 shells were fired from various types of weapons. There were no casualties.

According to Natalia Humenyuk, Head of the press centre of the Southern Defence Forces, on August 30, the defense forces eliminated 40 russian soldiers on the left bank of Kherson oblast. They also destroyed a dozen vehicles of the russian army – two tanks, three guns, five armoured vehicles and mortars. 

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that on 30 August, two houses and buildings caught fire in Vysuntsi as a result of a russian attack. A house in Olhivka was also on fire after a shell hit its roof. The fire was extinguished.

The Human Rights Centre reported that during the occupation of the village of Biliayivka, Beryslav region, Kherson oblast, the russian military illegally detained and tortured at least 20 Ukrainians for five months. People were hardly fed, mock executions were staged, they were threatened with castration, and electric shocks were applied to their genitals. Four of these people died. .

Almost 605 K hectares remain mined in Kherson oblast. To speed up demining, the number of people involved in this process will be increased to 10 K next year. 

Kherson museum workers have identified another painting stolen by the russian military. It is a work by contemporary Latvian artist and teacher Karlis Dobrais called Allegory. 

The Serbian government has sent 14 trucks with humanitarian aid to residents of Kherson oblast. The cargo includes medicines, drinking water, water filters, blankets and other necessary items. In Kherson oblast, the aid will be delivered to the victims of the Kakhovka HPP dam blown up by russian terrorists. This is part of the humanitarian support provided by the European Union to the civilian population of Ukraine.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Nataliia Matviyuk, Head of the Department of Education and Science of the RMA reported that since the beginning of the war, over 24,5K students of the oblast have gone abroad and received education in a distant form. According to the latest data, this figure is 7,3K.

Ihor Polishchuk, Mayor of Lutsk, reported that in the city, 90% of boiler houses are equipped with diesel generators. By the beginning of the heating season, 100% of boiler houses will have diesel generators. Also, all facilities of Lutskvodokanal enterprise and medical facilities are equipped with diesel generators. The city hospital has its own solid fuel boiler room, which will work in the absence of heat supply. 

Zakarpattia oblast

Uzhhorod City Council reported that on September 1, over 17K students will start attending educational institutions of the city. Training will be provided in offline and mixed formats.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting with business entities of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. The purpose of the event is to establish partnership relations with business entities in wartime conditions.

The RMA reported that the exhibition-museum of the Prykarpattia Fire and Rescue Service opened on the basis of the security classroom for children.

Lviv oblast

In Lviv, the American Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) began training medics and nurses from all over Ukraine on new approaches to management and treatment of critical patients, as well as their early rehabilitation in intensive care. This is the first such educational and practical course in the country conducted by these specialists. The training is aimed at expert training of specialists of multidisciplinary hospitals and combat medics to provide emergency aid to civilians and military personnel affected by the war.

The ART GARAGE “TEST” charitable artistic event took place in Lviv. The exhibition features works of ceramics and glass, including sculptural plastic sketches by 40 Ukrainian artists, as well as handmade clothing, accessories, and craft products of 27 modern Ukrainian brands. The organizers will use the proceeds from the sale to purchase military and medical equipment.

The 36-year-old soldier, whose body was stuck with 40 fragments from an enemy mine and who miraculously survived, is being treated by specialists of the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center. Surgeons have already removed mine fragments from the patient’s head, left shoulder and right leg, and he is currently undergoing rehabilitation.

A second center of national-patriotic education for students was opened in Lviv. Children will be taught military skills, first aid, tactical aid, orientation and demining.

Rivne oblast

5 Administrative Service Centers of the oblast received laptops, portable charging stations, tables, chairs and equipment for setting up children’s corners thanks to the UN Development Program in Ukraine, which operates within the framework of the Strengthening Resilience of Communities in Oblasts of Ukraine project, financed by the Government of Great Britain.

Dubensk region received 13 generators thanks to the World Health Organization.

The RMA reported that almost 90% of schools in Rivne oblast will start full-time or mixed training.

Ternopil oblast

Heroes’ Alley was opened in the village of Ozerna near the church. On 13 stands, photos of 13 defenders from the community, who gave their lives for Ukraine, were displayed.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The 106th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Khmelnytskyi received an ambulance based on a Mercedes-Benz Vito car, medicines and various medical equipment that military medics may need for evacuation and assistance to the wounded from the Association des Femmes Ukrainiennes en France French CF.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated an additional UAH 8,6 mln for Chernivtsi oblast to purchase housing for IDP defenders of Ukraine, who have been assigned but not paid monetary compensation in 2018-2022. Thus, 4 more soldiers who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and received disability will have their own housing.

The list of weapons for Ukraine includes 20 Leopard battle tanks, Patriot missiles and more than 100 reconnaissance drones.

The BAE Systems British defense company will open a representative office in Ukraine to localize the production and repair of weapons, in particular the new L119 light guns.

Ukraine and Norway agreed on “transport visa-free”. The simplified regime comes into effect on September 1 and will apply to both bilateral and transit transportation.

The American Society of Critical Care Medicine has started training medics and nurses from all over Ukraine on new approaches to the management and treatment of critical patients, as well as their early rehabilitation in intensive care settings. This is the first such educational and practical course in the country conducted by these specialists. The training is aimed at expert training of specialists of multidisciplinary hospitals and combat medics to provide emergency aid to civilians and military personnel affected by the war.

The US calculated how much grain the russian federation stole from occupied territories of Ukraine. The report of the US Congress states that the russian federation stole almost 6 mln tonnes of Ukrainian wheat harvested in occupied territories in 2022.
