The Defense Forces are taking measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory.
On 7 September, there were 54 combat clashes on the frontline.
Communities of border settlements were affected by enemy artillery fire, namely Serhiivske, Mykhalchyna-Sloboda, Zarechye, Kliusy – Chernihiv oblast; Bilokopytove, Buniakino – Sumy oblast.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, there were four combat clashes, two of which are ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched seven airstrikes, dropping 21 guided aerial bombs, and also carried out 81 shelling of the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the Defense Forces repelled three attacks by enemy troops, and five more combat clashes are still ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance in the vicinity of Vovchansk, Ambarne and Kamianka.
Towards Kupiansk, russian occupiers tried to break through Ukrainian defenses three times near Kupiansk; two clashes are still ongoing.
Towards Lyman, the invading army carried out nine attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units near the settlements of Karpivka, Seredne, Drobysheve, Derylove. Six clashes are ongoing.
Towards Siversk, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks. The invading units tried to advance near Serebrianka and Hryhorivka, one battle is still ongoing.
Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders once in the direction of the settlement of Stupochky.
Towards Toretsk, the enemy carried out five assault operations in the vicinity of Poltavka, Shcherbynivka and Pleshchiivka.
Towards Pokrovsk, russian invaders made 16 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from the occupied positions in the areas of the settlements of Novoekonomichne, Rodynske, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Dachne, Novoukrainka and Novopavlivka. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled 14 enemy attacks, two combat clashes are ongoing.
Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of Komyshuvakha and Filiia. Our soldiers repelled one enemy assault, three more attacks are ongoing.
Towards Huliaipole, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
Towards Orikhiv, the defense forces repelled two attacks by the invaders in the direction of Stepnohirsk and Novodanylivka. Air strikes were carried out on Novopavlivka and Shcherbaky.
Towards Kherson, the aggressor’s aircraft carried out an airstrike in the vicinity of the settlement of Antonivka. The enemy did not conduct any offensive operations there.
In the remaining directions, there were no significant changes.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
There were 170 combat clashes in the oblast.
Towards Southern Sloboda, Ukrainian troops stopped seven enemy attacks in the vicinity of Vovchansk, Ambarne, Kamianka and Novovasylivka.
Towards Kupiansk, there were six attacks. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assault actions in the vicinity of Kupiansk and near Novoplatonivka and Nova Kruhliakivka.
Shelling
14 settlements in the oblast were subjected to enemy attacks. As a result of shelling, one person died and 6 were injured.
In the city of Kupiansk, a 66-year-old woman was killed, a 25-year-old man and another man and woman were injured, whose data are being established; in the village of Nechvolodyvka, Kindrashivska community, a 58-year-old man was injured; in the village of In Prykolotne, Vilhuvatsk community, a 53-year-old man was injured; in the village of Osynove, Kupiansk community, an 84-year-old man was injured.
A 63-year-old woman who was injured in the city of Kupiansk on September 5 was also taken to a medical facility.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons:

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

▪️In Izium region, a private house was damaged (village Novoplatonivka); 4 private houses (village Andriivka);
▪️In Bohodukhiv region, 2 private houses and a car were damaged (village Kovali);
▪️In Lozova region, a private house was damaged (village Verkhnia Samara).
The transit evacuation point in Lozova accepted 126 people during the day. 24 people remained. A total of 1,812 people have been registered at the Point since it began operating.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Oleksii Belskyi, Spokesman for the Dnipro Military Unit, says that among the units that recently joined the forces of the invaders and have already entered the fighting towards Pokrovsk are “putin’s favorites”. Among them are the 76th Guards Division, which captured Crimea and Bucha, as well as the 155th Marine Brigade, which is known for the executions and murders of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports that having lost 5 sq. km towards Pokrovsk in August, the Defense Forces units were able to regain control over 26 sq. km of Ukrainian land. A similar ratio in our favor is also towards Dobropillia. The Defense Forces liberated more than 26 sq. km of Ukrainian land in this direction.
The General Staff informs that the russian army has increased the number of attacks towards Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk. In total, there were 127 battles in Donetsk oblast on September 6.
Towards Pokrovsk, the Defense Forces repelled 53 russian assaults near Shakhove, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Novoekonomichene.
Towards Kramatorsk, russian occupiers stormed the vicinity of Stupochky, Bila Hora, and Vyroliubivka ten times.
Shelling
Vadim Lyakh, Head of Slaviansk RMA, says that in Slaviansk, the russian army attacked a minibus with a drone, a 61-year-old woman died, five were injured.
On September 6, there were 1,964 enemy strikes. 13 settlements were under attack. 108 civilian objects were destroyed, including 62 residential buildings.

An enemy FPV drone hit a highway in Hryshyn – one person was killed, a car was damaged.
A civilian was killed as a result of a drone attack in Drobysheve.
Russian troops hit Kostiantynivka with GAB-250 aerial bombs and drones – 6 residents were injured. 11 multi-story and 34 private houses, 2 administrative buildings, 2 shops, a post office, 6 non-residential premises, and cars were destroyed.
The occupiers sent UAVs, drones, and Tornado S MLRS to Slaviansk – two people were injured, including a child. 9 private homes, non-residential premises, and cars were damaged.
The enemy hit Kramatorsk with UAVs, FPV drones, and Uragan MLRS – a civilian was injured. 5 private houses and cars were destroyed.

According to the RMA, near Sloviansk, traffic was restricted on a section of the Kyiv-Dovzhanskyi highway on September 7 due to russian drone attacks. Currently, the section of the road from the exit from the city from the Sloviansk resort to the turn to Maiatske forestry is dangerous.
Ukrzaliznytsia has fully reopened traffic in the direction of Sloviansk after the russian shelling of the railway infrastructure on September 6. On September 7, passenger trains will run with delays, and there are changes to the schedule of suburban trains.
Luhansk oblast
Near Hrekivka, russians launched assaults. In total, they carried out 12 attacks on the Lymanskaya sector of the front. They opened fire 16 times with cannon artillery. Twice more – with rocket launchers. They directed 43 UAVs and FPV drones towards the Ukrainian defenders and surrounding settlements.
More than 100 residents of the so-called lpr” decided to make up the norms of the “Ready for Labor and Defense” sports complex. The occupiers promised them to reduce the amount of tax deductions for receiving the appropriate awards. However, these individuals will be able to register for the service only in 2026, if by that time they do not become owners of summonses to the russian army, because they have already confirmed their excellent physical fitness.
The occupation administration of Siverskodonetsk is again trying to justify itself in the situation with large sums in payments for servicing the adjacent territory. The relevant works are not actually being carried out in the city, and the invaders want to receive the money several months in advance. This is supposedly necessary to accumulate funds for works to be carried out in the future.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, informed that thanks to the ‘Clear Sky’ project and coordinated work on the oblast’s borders, eighty enemy drones were destroyed overnight.
The RMA reported that during the night, the enemy carried out another massive attack with drones and missiles on civilian residential areas in Kyiv oblast. In Brovary, an 18-year-old girl suffered a shrapnel wound to her leg. In the Bucha district, five private houses were damaged: windows and doors broken, and roofs damaged. In the Fastiv district, the enemy hit a private house and a stable, killing seven horses. In the Brovary district, a private house and an apartment were damaged. A fire in the forest was put out.

A young woman and her two-month-old son were killed in Kyiv as a result of the russian attack. Twenty people were wounded, with 7 of them hospitalised, including a pregnant woman. As of this morning, more than 10 damaged locations have been recorded in the capital, including direct hits on residential high-rise buildings in the Svyatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts.
In the Svyatoshinsky district, the top three floors of a 16-storey building were damaged. In one of the damaged nine-storey buildings, floors 4 to 8 were partially destroyed. The russians killed a mother and her child here, leaving the father seriously injured. In another nine-storey building, where rescuers saved nine people, the third floor was damaged. Work is underway at all locations. Cars were burning in the district, a fire broke out in a non-residential area, and the roof of one of the kindergartens was damaged.

In the Darnytskyi district, a russian drone struck a four-story building, partially destroying the third and fourth floors. At least two people were injured.
In the Holosiivskyi district, local damage from the attack was reported: broken windows and scattered debris in open areas.
In the Pecherskyi district, a fire broke out in a government building.

The Kyiv City State Administration’s Department of Health reported that a pregnant woman was wounded as a result of the russian night attack on Kyiv. She was hospitalised in extremely serious condition, and a decision was made to induce labour. Doctors delivered a premature baby, who is currently in intensive care. The injured woman is 24 years old and is in the burn unit, where doctors keep fighting for her life.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration preliminary data, in the Svyatoshynsky district, 12 residential buildings were damaged. 64 apartments need repairs, and 17 homes are completely destroyed. A total of 746 windows need replacement, and 134 have already been covered with materials as a matter of priority. Five educational institutions were also damaged. More than 90 rescuers, over 160 police officers, and more than 200 utility workers are working at the site.

As a result of shelling of Kyiv by the russian army on the night of 7 September, the home arena of the Sokil hockey club was damaged. The club reported about the damage on its official website. The blast wave knocked out windows in the building and damaged the facade.
Zhytomyr oblast
In the Malyn community, the premises of the children’s art school, which was destroyed as a result of a russian air strike in the first month of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russian troops, are being rebuilt. Restoration work is funded by partners from Estonia. According to Vyacheslav Kholodov, a representative of the contracting organisation, the reconstruction is to be completed by the end of November 2025.
Two veterans from Zhytomyr, Andriy Zabigailo and Oleksandr Bozhok, became prize-winners of the all-Ukrainian competition ‘Strong Spirits Games’. They won medals in the bench press. The competition took place in Bukovel from 5 to 7 September and is a qualifying event for an international tournament.
Sumy oblast
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven russian attacks. Over the past day, the russian army carried out nine airstrikes, dropping a total of 23 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 245 artillery attacks, including four by multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
On 7 September, shortly after 1:30pm, a russian attack drone struck the centre of Sumy – Independence Square. Four people were injured, including a 13-year-old boy. A 60-year-old woman, who was nearby at the time of the impact, was taken to hospital. The building of the Sumy Regional State Administration was damaged.
Also on 7 September, a drone struck a five-storey apartment building in Sumy community but did not detonate. Windows and balcony frames were damaged. According to Serhii Kryvosheienko, the Head of Sumy City Regional Military Administration, russian forces attacked the community around 10:30am.
Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed at about 03:30am on 7 September, russian troops attacked an agricultural enterprise in Stepanivka community of Sumy region by a drone. Three employees transporting agricultural produce were injured.
Late in the evening of 6 September, on the outskirts of Putyvl community, russia attacked a civilian tent camp where people were resting peacefully. A 51-year-old woman died from shrapnel wounds before medics arrived. Seven others were wounded, including an 8-year-old boy and his parents. All were hospitalized.
In Krasnopillia community on 6 September, a russian drone struck a car, injuring a 57-year-old man. He was taken to hospital with injuries, where medics are providing all necessary care.
In Stepanivka community, three people born in 1982, 1983 and 1994 were injured after a drone hit a truck.
According to the Regional Military Administration between the morning of 6 September and the morning of 7 September, russian forces carried out 143 attacks on 57 settlements in 17 territorial communities of Sumy oblast. The largest number of attacks were recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (up to 20 strikes), UAVs (up to 10 strikes), dropped VOG grenades from UAVs (up to 30 strikes), and also carried out ballistic missile strikes, FPV-drone strikes, and MLRS attacks. In total, 11 civilians were injured during the day.
Damage from russian strikes on Sumy oblast as of the morning of 7 September included:
- In Mykolaivka community, four residential buildings were damaged and a garage destroyed;
- In Znob-Novhorodske community, a car, a truck and a tractor were damaged;
- In Krasnopillia community, a private house and a car were damaged;
- In Bilopillia community, an administrative building and civilian infrastructure were damaged, along with a tractor and a minibus;
- In Vorozhba community, windows of an apartment block and a car were damaged;
- In Stepanivka community, a truck was damaged.
Chernihiv oblast
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that on 7 September, russian forces carried out more than 10 drone strikes on the border town of Semenivka within half a day. As a result, private houses, critical infrastructure facilities and the railway station area were damaged.
In the evening of 7 September, russian troops again attacked Semenivka community. The enemy struck a critical infrastructure facility, leaving 20 settlements in the community without electricity. Emergency repair crews are working on-site to restore power.
Critical infrastructure in Semenivka community continues to operate in emergency mode. The utility company “Revna” is supplying water and sewage facilities (treatment plants) from generators. Semenivka city hospital is powered by a generator and is fully supplied. Six “Points of Invincibility” have been deployed in the community.
The National Police of the oblast reported that also on 7 September, russian drones attacked Chernihiv region. A gymnasium building in one of the villages of Mykhailo-Kotsiubynske community was damaged.
The first cases of remote mining of territory in Chernihiv border areas by russian drones have been recorded. Explosive devices were discovered in Novhorod-Siverskyi region.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, informed that in Chernihiv oblast, two people were killed and three injured over the past 24 hours. Two women were killed in Semenivka: one when a drone hit her during the day, another when a russian “Shahed” struck a house at night, trapping her under the rubble. A 45-year-old woman was injured in a drone strike in Horodnia, a 58-year-old man in a border village of Novhorod-Siverskyi community, and a 67-year-old man in Semenivka.
According to Chernihiv Border Detachment, on 6 September, russian forces attacked four border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar (8 explosions) and artillery shelling (8 explosions), strikes by Molniya UAVs (5 explosions), guided aerial bombs (3 explosions), unguided rockets (5 explosions), FPV-drones (13 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (3 explosions).
In Semenivka town alone, the enemy launched five strikes by Molniya UAVs, one strike by an FPV-drone, and three strikes with guided aerial bombs. A 70-year-old local woman was killed. A shop building caught fire, and both a service vehicle of the emergency gas service and a civilian car were damaged.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the oblast council, reports that a night, the enemy carried out a massive combined attack on the oblast with missiles and drones. A fire broke out in Dnipro, infrastructure was damaged. Three people were injured in the attack in Kryvyi Rih.
Damaged enterprises, an administrative building, high-rise buildings, a partially destroyed private home, damaged cars and garages.
The attacks on Nikopol region did not stop either. The occupiers struck from the evening until the morning with drones, fired from MLRSs and artillery. They targeted Nikopol, Pokrovske, Marhanets and Myrove communities. In the latter, a 54-year-old man was killed due to shelling from MLRSs. There were fires, a private house was destroyed, 4 private homes, 4 outbuildings, 2 gas stations, a car, a gas pipeline and a power line were damaged. According to updated information, a 63-year-old man was injured in the evening shelling in Pokrovske community. 2 greenhouses were damaged. They also struck Synelnykove region. They targeted Petropavlivka and Mezhova communities. A fire broke out, a private house was damaged. The enemy also hit Pokrovske community with a GAB. They also hit Hrushivka community of Kryvyi Rih region. A private house was burning.
About 30 attacks per day – the occupiers struck Nikopol region with drones and artillery. They targeted Nikopol, Pokrovska, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Myrove communities.
A 43-year-old woman was injured. An administrative building, private and apartment buildings, and infrastructure were damaged. They also attacked Synelnykove region. They targeted Ukrainske and Mezhova communities.
A fire broke out, three people were injured, a private house was damaged. According to updated information, a 74-year-old man died in the morning attack on Pokrovske community. An outbuilding was set on fire. A private house and an outbuilding were damaged. Also, according to updated information, another person was injured in the night attack in Kryvyi Rih.
Vinnytsia oblast
74 specialists in supporting war veterans and demobilized persons work in 44 territorial communities and in eight healthcare institutions in Vinnytsia oblast. 48 of them are veterans or members of their families or families of fallen defenders.
Kirovohrad oblast
A car and motorcycle race was held in Kropyvnytskyi in support of all those who still remain in russian captivity, as well as the action “Don’t be silent. Captivity kills.” They were organized by the families and friends of defenders from Kirovohrad oblast to remind them that they are fighting for the return of their relatives.
Poltava oblast
Poltava RMA reports that at night, the oblast was attacked. Direct hits and falling debris were recorded. In Kremenchuk region, a private house, a car and one of the enterprises were damaged. Also, in the city of Kremenchuk, the road surface of the bridge over the Dnipro River was damaged. In Poltava region, the debris of a UAV damaged the administrative building of one of the municipal enterprises.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, says that in Cherkasy oblast, 10 russian UAVs were shot down at night.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 7 September, the russian army carried out an airstrike on Novopavlivka. A married couple was killed in the shelling.
On 7 September, the russian army struck one of the villages in Polohy region. A man was injured in the shelling.
At night on 7 September, the enemy attacked one of Zaporizhzhia’s enterprises with at least eight Shahed drones. The attack caused a fire covering about 1,000 square meters. Sixteen apartment buildings, twelve private houses, a kindergarten, and enterprise buildings were damaged as a result of the attack on Zaporizhzhia. Firefighters are working to eliminate the consequences of the russian attack.

On 6 September, the occupiers attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones. Seventeen people were injured, and dozens of apartment and private houses were damaged as a result of the russian attack.
On 6 September, the occupiers launched 522 strikes on 17 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces carried out seven airstrikes on Uspenivka, Malynivka, and Chervone. 338 UAVs of various modifications (mainly FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Chervonodniprovka, Novomykolaivka, Plavni, Prymorske, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Preobrazhenka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. Two MLRS attacks targeted Novodanylivka and Bilohiria. One hundred seventy-five artillery strikes were carried out on Chervonodniprovka, Plavni, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. There were 25 reports of damage to enterprises, apartments, private houses, farm buildings, and cars. One person was killed and 15 injured as a result of russian attacks on Prymorske and Zaporizhzhia.
As of 16:00 on 7 September, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks near Stepnohirsk and Novodanylivka towards Orikhiv.
Mykolaiv oblast
At night air defense forces shot down or suppressed seven Shahed 131/136 strike UAVs and various types of decoy drones over Mykolaiv oblast. As a result of the interceptions and falling debris, several fires broke out in open areas outside the settlements of Bashtanka and Mykolaiv regions.
Yesterday, 6 September, the enemy carried out six FPV drone attacks and on the morning of 7 September shelled Kutsurub community with artillery. A private house was damaged in the village of Dmytrivka as a result of the attack.
Also yesterday, 6 September, the enemy attacked Ochakiv city and the waters of Ochakiv community three times with FPV drones and carried out an FPV drone strike on Halytsynove community. No casualties were reported.
Odesa oblast
At night, the enemy launched a massive attack on Odesa with strike drones. Three people were injured as a result of the strikes. Multi-story residential buildings were damaged, and apartments caught fire. The flames destroyed cars and a warehouse building. The Sports Palace suffered significant destruction. Twenty-two people were evacuated and provided with necessary assistance.
Kherson oblast
A man was injured by a petal mine In Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. He sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his foot, resulting in partial amputation.
In the morning, russian occupation forces shelled Tsentral district of Kherson with artillery. A 73-year-old woman sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to her abdomen.
On 6 September, the russian forces attacked Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Dariivka, Antonivka, Molodizhne, Naddniprianske, Shyroka Balka, Novokairy, Burhunka, Lvove, Mykolaivka, Odradokamianka, Olhivka, Borozenke, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Rozlyv, Sofiivka, Zymivnyk, Sadove, Novovorontsovka, Novoraisk, Vysoke, Vesele, Zelenivka, Kachkarivka, Kozatske, Krupytsia, Mykilske, Mylove, Novotiahynka, Romashkove, Sablukivka, Tokarivka, Chervonyi Maiak, and the city of Kherson. Eight private houses, a cell tower, and a farm building were damaged in the attacks. Two people were injured as a result of russian aggression.

Volyn oblast
A charity run in support of the military took place in Lutsk. Lutsk residents and guests of the city joined the MHP Run4Victory half-marathon. The key goal of the run was to raise funds to support the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
Zakarpattia oblast
Since the beginning of the year, the oblast has sheltered about 40 families from communities of Donetsk oblast. Large families, children and adults with disabilities, the elderly and their pets – all are safe and in comfortable conditions.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
From Ivano-Frankivsk, parcels were delivered from home to the front. The packages were delivered by volunteers of the Logistics Center to Kharkiv, Donetsk and Zaporizhia oblasts.
Lviv oblast
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulii Svyrydenko arrived on a working visit to the Lviv region. She visited Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Center. Over 17,500 children were born here during the three and a half years of full-scale war.
Mykhailo Vasyliv, Platoon Sergeant Major in the ranks of the 37th Separate Marine Brigade, from Nyzhnia Rozhanka, Strii region, was awarded with the III degree For Courage Order.
Mariana Fedas, defender of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was able to purchase her own apartment in Pustomyty thanks to the eOselia program. Since the beginning of the year, over 500 families in the oblast have taken advantage of this opportunity. UAH 25m was allocated for the implementation of the program in 2025 and funding will be continued.
Rivne oblast
The Air Defense Forces worked in Rivne oblast throughout the night. Enemy targets have been neutralized. People and infrastructure were not harmed.
The RMA reported that Rivne oblast hosted the All-Ukrainian amp football tournament for the 1st time.
Ternopil oblast
The fighters of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade received financial assistance from Ternopil City Council. With the funds provided, defenders purchased 14 quadcopters.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
113 military personnel from Khmelnytskyi community received financial assistance for rehabilitation. The total amount of assistance is over UAH 1.7m.
Chernivtsi oblast
The son of a Greek Catholic priest from Bukovina was killed at the front. 29-year-old soldier Taras Vynnyk fought in hot spots in Kharkiv oblast for a year and a half.

The Czech Republic will provide Ukraine with over €40m annually for reconstruction by 2030. It is noted that the program has been in effect since 2023, and the Czech Republic intends to continue using it for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
Kyivstar became the first and only Ukrainian company to participate in the Nasdaq Opening Bell ceremony in New York – the symbolic opening of trading on the leading US stock exchange. Kyivstar shares are trading under the tickers KYIV and KYIVW. This provides the company with new opportunities to invest in digital infrastructure and attract international investors to the reconstruction of Ukraine.
