It has been the 1345th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:  

On October 30, there were 70 combat engagements.

The enemy shelled the border settlements of Bohdanove in Chernihiv oblast, as well as Khliborob, Manukhivka, Brusky, Korenok, Bila Bereza and Hirky in Sumy oblast with artillery.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the aggressor launched one assault. In addition, the enemy launched ten airstrikes, dropping 22 guided bombs, and carried out 123 shelling attacks, including five from multiple launch rocket systems.

Towards Southern Sloboda direction, the Ukrainian troops repelled two enemy attacks near Fyholivka and Kolodiazne.

Towards Kupiansk, the Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy attacks, with three still ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance near Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane and Petropavlivka. 

Towards Lyman, the aggressor launched five assaults near Novovodiane, Zarichne and Korovii Yar. Two more battles are still ongoing. 

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy made 5 attempts to advance near Serebrianka, Vyimka, Pereizne and Zvanivka. 

Towards Kramatorsk, the aggressor launched one assault near Stupochky and was repelled by Ukrainian troops. 

Towards Kostiantynivka, the enemy launched 12 assaults near Shcherbynivka, Petrivka, Yablunivka and Rusynyi Yar. One battle is still ongoing. The enemy aircraft struck Kostiantynivka with guided bombs.

Towards Pokrovsk, the enemy made 24 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Shakhove, Nykanorivka, Novotoretske, Rodynske, Novoekonomichne, Chunyshyne, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka and Filiia.

Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy attempted to break through the defenses of Ukrainian troops near Zelenyi Hai, Verbove, Stepove, Novohryhorivka and Novovasylivske. The Defence Forces repelled six enemy attacks, and three more battles are still ongoing. 

Towards Huliaipole, there were no combat engagements. The enemy launched airstrikes on the settlements of Zaliznychne and Novouspenivske.

Towards Orikhiv, Ukrainian troops repelled one enemy attack near Lobkove.

Towards Kherson, the enemy made three unsuccessful attempts to advance toward Ukrainian defenders.

There were no significant changes in other areas of the frontline. 

During the night of October 30, russia launched a massive air attack against Ukrainian territory, employing 653 strike UAVs of various types and 52 missiles, including nine ballistic missiles.

According to the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian air defense assets successfully intercepted and destroyed 592 strike UAVs, 7 Kalibr cruise missiles, 1 Iskander-K cruise missile, 21 Kh-101 cruise missiles and 2 Kh-50/69 air-launched cruise missiles.

According to the Parliament of Ukraine, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy extended martial law and general mobilization for another three months.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline

There were 172 combat clashes in the oblast.

Towards Southern Sloboda, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk and Kamianka.

Towards Kupiansk, there were 15 attacks. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assault actions near the settlements of Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Bohuslavka.

Shelling

6 settlements were hit by enemy strikes. Two people were injured as a result of the shelling.

In the village of Pisky-Radkivski, Borivska community, a 48-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were injured.

 Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of the RMA, says that a resident of Kozacha Lopana sought help from a hospital in Derhachy: yesterday he was injured as a result of an FPV drone strike when he was near his house. The man has a concussion, a head wound and a rib fracture, he was hospitalized in a moderate condition

The enemy actively used various types of weapons in the Kharkiv region:

▪️1 missile (type to be determined);

▪️4 GABs;

▪️2 UAVs of the Geran-2 type;

▪️2 FPV drones;

▪️1 UAV (type to be determined).

 

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

▪️in Kupiansk region, a private house was damaged (village Starovirivka), a car (village Kolodiazne);

▪️in Izium region, a car was damaged (village Pisky-Radkivski);

▪️in Kharkiv region, a car was damaged (village Ruska Lozova);

▪️In Lozova region, 2 private houses, 3 non-residential buildings, 2 cars, an administrative building, a civil enterprise (Lozova), and railway infrastructure (Lymanivka village) were damaged.

Other

About 3 thousand consumers in the city of Lozova are temporarily without power supply — (fan-shaped power outages are in effect).

The transit evacuation point in Lozova accepted 128 people during the day. 27 people remained. In total, 9,839 people have been registered at the Point since the start of work.

 Iryna Tuz, Deputy Director of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the City Council, reports that the approximate degree of damage to the house on Velyka Kiltseva Street in Kharkiv, which was destroyed during the russian strike on August 18, and where seven people died, exceeds 81%.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs that russian troops continue to increase the number of attacks in the direction of Lyman. The invaders stormed the positions of the Defense Forces near Ridkodub, Karpivka, Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Stavki and Torske 17 times, there were 13 attacks.

The largest number of battles per day was towards Pokrovsk – 55, over 20 assaults were towards Kostiantynivka and Oleksandrivka.

Yurii Treyiak, Head of the RMA, reports that russian troops tried to break into the urban development of Myrnohrad from the north and east, but the Defense Forces restrained these attempts. Saboteurs of the russian army in the city are not recorded.

The 7th Corps of the DSHV reported that the russian army near Pokrovsk resumed the “flagpole tactics” of simulating control of the territory with the help of the “tricolor”. Over the past day, the Defense Forces eliminated 13 russian servicemen in the city, including four occupiers near the stele at the northwestern entrance to Pokrovsk.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrskyi visited Donetsk oblast and denied the russian statement about the blockade of the Defense Forces in Pokrovsk. According to him, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is trying to improve logistics to the city and the evacuation of the wounded.

The military-patriotic movement ATESH reports that russian Guardsmen from rear units in the russian federation are being transferred to assault units fighting near Chasiv Yar in Donetsk oblast. Such transfers are likely related to the heavy losses of the occupation army.

Shelling

Serhii Horbunov, Head of the RMA, says that russian troops launched an airstrike on the private sector of Kostiantynivka, killing one person.

Lyakh,  Head of the RMA,  reported that three people were killed in the morning strike by the russian army on Slaviansk. The occupiers fired twice at the city from a multiple launch rocket system.

In the morning, russia struck Kramatorsk with an Iskander missile. 2 houses and a civilian car were damaged. One person was injured. One private house was partially destroyed. Another 32 private homes and seven apartment buildings were damaged.

The RMA reports that in Druzhkivka, a former cinema building was destroyed by a night strike by the russian army. One person was injured.

On October 29, there were 1,964 enemy attacks on the front line and residential sector.

10 settlements were under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Sloviansk, the villages of Krasnotorka, Oleksandrivka, Sviatohorivka, Kryvorizhzhie, Pryvillia, Staroraiske, Khrestishche.

23 civilian objects were destroyed, including 13 residential buildings.

Druzhkivka was shelled twice by the russians, one civilian was killed and another wounded. Three apartment buildings and a former cinema were damaged.

russian troops dropped three GAB-250 bombs on Kryvorizhzhie, Pokrovsk region – one person was killed and another one injured, 5 private houses and a shop were damaged.

In Kostiantynivka, three FPV drones attacked civilians, two residents were injured, and two cars damaged.

In Krasnotoretsk, Kramatorsk community three people were injured. The enemy attacked the village with Smerch MLRS, damaging 5 private houses and a car.

In Sloviansk, 2 enterprises were destroyed as a result of being hit by three Geran-2 UAVs. An infrastructure facility was damaged in Pryvillia.

Other

In two settlements in Donetsk oblast, where the forced evacuation of families with children is underway, 701 minors remain. The largest number of children is in Druzhkivka community, said the acting head of the children’s service Yulia Ryzhakova.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk RMA, says that evacuation from Pokrovsk is almost impossible, 1,256 residents remain under daily shelling. russians are shooting civilians who go out to get water or charge their phones. Thanks to the military regiment “Skelya” recently managed to save six people with animals.

Serhiy Boevskyi, Director of the housing and communal services department, reports that in Donetsk oblast, 26 boiler houses have been launched, heat is supplied to 118 apartment buildings, 3 educational institutions and 13 healthcare institutions in Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Oleksandrivka, Novodonetsk and Cherkasy communities.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk RMA, says that in those settlements that are close to the front line, which are 191, where about 11 thousand people, the heating season will be held with the support of benefactors. People were provided with pellets, coal and firewood.

The leaders of the Youth Army in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk oblast have been charged with war crimes and justifying the russian invasion of Ukraine. According to the National Police and the Prosecutor General’s Office, the militarization of Ukrainian children has been carried out since 2016. Under the guise of “military-patriotic” education, they are being prepared for service in the Russian army, encouraged with benefits and a career.

 Luhansk oblast

In the areas of responsibility of Ukrainian units, the enemy made 24 attempts to attack in the vicinity of ​​12 settlements towards Lyman and Slaviansk. russian troops fired artillery and used drones.

Investors from the russian federation, who were previously tasked with restoring the coal industry in the so-called “lpr”, stated that there was no funding for mine conservation and development. They appealed to the russian authorities for the allocation of state funds. Part of the funding is planned to be transferred through the so-called “lpr Industrial Development Fund”, which will probably reduce the actual amount of funds that will be received by enterprises.

Problems with water supply in Alchevsk, Kadiivka and nearby settlements continue to worsen. A significant part of the water supply pipelines, damaged since 2014, are in an emergency state and require comprehensive replacement. Currently, the occupation administration is limited to current repairs of individual areas, the effect of which lasts 1–2 weeks. They promise to begin a comprehensive solution to the problem in a year, but the deadlines for completing the work have not been determined.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Thanks to the “Clear Sky” project, six dozen enemy drones were destroyed in the sky nearby Kyiv oblast during another massive attack.

During the night of October 30, in the city of Boryspil, a fire broke out in a two-story private house as a result of a russian UAV attack. A 35-year-old woman suffered thermal burns, lacerations and cuts on her limbs, and a broken collarbone. She is currently hospitalized.

According to the Regional Military Administration (RMA), in the Boryspil district, seven private houses, a business facility, and three apartment buildings were damaged, with windows shattered, nine cars and eight buses impacted, and two cars completely destroyed. In the Bila Tserkva district, one private house was damaged.

The National Police reported that in Kyiv oblast, police explosives experts discovered and neutralized the warhead of a russian drone. The drone fragments, including a warhead and detonator that had failed to explode, were found in the Brovary district.

As reported by DTEK Kyiv Regional Power Grids, emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv oblast. Scheduled outage timetables did not apply during these emergency shutdowns.

According to the regional employment service, veterans in Kyiv oblast are actively finding employment and starting their own businesses. In 2024–2025, about 1,700 combat veterans received consulting, psychological, and professional support. 400 veterans are already employed in various sectors. Since the beginning of 2025, 67 veterans have completed training programs through employment service vouchers, mastering modern professions.

According to the German Embassy in Ukraine The German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Reem Alabali-Radovan, arrived in Kyiv on October 30. The embassy stated that during her visit, the minister would discuss German investments in Ukraine and the involvement of German companies in the reconstruction of the country suffering from russian aggression.

Zhytomyr oblast

On October 29, Tanja Fajon, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, visited a social kitchen in Zhytomyr and met with internally displaced persons. Volunteers from the Caritas-Spes charitable foundation received a passenger minibus, a generator, and financial assistance from Slovenia.

Also on October 29, in Zhytomyr oblast, the third project implemented under the Emergency Credit Program for the Reconstruction of Ukraine was opened — a new kindergarten in the Vysokivka community. The delegation of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) attended the opening ceremony.

Sumy oblast

On the morning of 30 October the General Staff reported that towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, five combat engagements took place over the past 24 hours. Enemy forces carried out nine airstrikes, dropped 24 guided aerial bombs, and launched 194 attacks, including six using multiple rocket launch systems.

Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that  in the morning of 30 October, russia attacked a petrol station in Sumy by a UAV. Four people were injured in the strike, and a building and several vehicles were damaged. Two people remain in hospital — one in serious condition — while two others are receiving outpatient treatment. Artem Kobzar, Acting Mayor of Sumy, reported that the city was attacked by an “Italmas” drone at around 11:15am.

From the morning of 29 October to the morning of 30 October, russian troops carried out 40 attacks on 19 settlements across ten territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (20 strikes) and conducted attacks with FPV drones and UAVs. The air raid alert in the oblast lasted a total of 21 hours and 18 minutes during the day.

According to the Regional Military Administration, a 43-year-old man was killed in Yunakivka community following an FPV drone strike.

Civil infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

  • In Sumy community, non-residential buildings were damaged;

  • In Krasnopillia community, a school building was damaged;

  • In Seredyna-Buda community, a private house was damaged.

During the day, five people were evacuated from border communities through the joint efforts of local authorities, the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organisations.

Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of Sumy City Military Administration, informed that enemy air attacks have complicated the start of the heating season in Sumy. Heating providers are working to stabilise system pressure and repair damage caused by shelling.

According to the City Military Administration, on sites where residential buildings were destroyed by russian attacks in Sumy, plans are being developed to build social housing on Petropavlivska, Herasym Kondratiev, and Metalurhiv streets. The new buildings will be designated as municipal property, with options under consideration including smart apartments.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that on 29 October, fighters of the 105th Border Detachment shot down a russian Herbera-type drone in Chernihiv oblast.

Chernihiv City Council announced that as a result of a russian strike on a television tower in central Chernihiv on 29 October, the structure sustained damage. Stabilisation work on the tower will be carried out shortly. Residents have been urged to stay away from the tower and avoid the surrounding area within a 200-metre radius.

According to the Regional Military Administration, on the evening of 29 October, russian forces launched drone strikes on a critical infrastructure facility in central Chernihiv. The blast wave shattered windows in a nearby multi-storey residential building and an administrative facility. The Department for Civil Protection and Defence Work reported that the regional centre was attacked by Geran-type drones. Two explosions were recorded in total.

In Koriukivka region, an enemy drone struck a warehouse — a former agricultural facility. In Pryluky region, the aggressor targeted transport infrastructure.

Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that throughout 29 October, russian troops attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast — Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk. Border guards recorded nearly 80 strikes. The enemy used mortars and artillery, carried out attacks by Shahed-type UAVs and FPV drones, and dropped explosive devices from UAVs. Fourteen settlements came under enemy fire.

Chernihiv Regional Hospital reported that a 31-year-old man injured in the russian UAV strike on Chernihiv on 27 October underwent surgery in Kyiv. His injuries were life-threatening: multiple small fragments, up to five millimetres in size, were lodged in his body — three struck his heart, and two caused through wounds.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the RMA, reported that air defence forces destroyed 22 enemy UAVs. In the early morning, explosions were heard in Dnipro as the enemy launched a missile strike on an industrial facility. From the evening until morning, russian forces continued to attack the oblast by drones and artillery, targeting the regional centre, Myrove, Marhanets and Pokrovske communities. UAV strikes hit Pokrovske and Mykolaivka communities, causing fires in 2 private houses and damaging infrastructure.

In total, more than 75 strikes were recorded across the oblast, with the enemy attacking 3 regions of Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

In Dnipro, a missile attack damaged an infrastructure facility. During the day, the enemy continuously shelled the area by drones and artillery, targeting the regional centre, Myrove, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Pokrovske communities. 3 men aged 59, 39 and 45 were injured. Fires broke out, destroying utility and outbuildings. 6 private houses, 3 outbuildings, a communal enterprise, a multi-storey building, infrastructure and a power line were damaged. An agricultural enterprise was affected, resulting in the death of 13 domestic animals. UAV strikes on Vasylkivka community caused additional infrastructure damage.

Vinnytsia oblast 

In Vinnytsia oblast, russian forces attacked critical infrastructure. Emergency response measures were conducted in Ladyzhyn to eliminate the consequences of the strike. 4 adults sustained injuries of mild to moderate severity. A 7-year-old girl, who had been wounded during the attack, died in hospital.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, reported that at night, air defence units in Kirovohrad oblast shot down enemy UAVs.

Poltava oblast

In Poltava, residents paid tribute to Senior Soldier Maksym Kochubei. The serviceman had been considered missing for a long time. He was killed during a russian assault near Yevhenivka village, Donetsk oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, reported that in Cherkasy oblast, air defence units destroyed 1 russian missile and 12 UAVs. Infrastructure damage was reported in Zvenyhorod region. Drone debris damaged a power line and windows and roofs in at least 4 houses. In another case, a fire broke out in a farm building.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the Regional Police, on 29 October, a 59-year-old man, who was riding a bicycle, was injured by a russian UAV strike in Prymorske town. 

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, stated that a man was wounded in an FPV drone attack on Huliaipole community.

As a result of the night attack on Zaporizhzhia, 5 high-rise buildings and several private houses were damaged, along with a dormitory and infrastructure facilities.

Rescuers recovered the bodies of 2 men from the rubble of the destroyed dormitory. A 45-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were hospitalised. In total, 23 people were injured, including 6 children (3 boys and 3 girls aged between 3 and 6 years). The wounded suffered from acute stress reactions, lacerations, concussions, contusions and fractures.

The Regional Police reported that during the night of 30 October, russian forces launched 8 missiles (type to be determined) and over 20 UAVs (reportedly Shahed/Geran-2) targeting the regional centre and surrounding areas.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, stated that on 29 October, 1 person was killed in a russian strike on Bilenke community of Zaporizhzhia oblast.

In total, 744 attacks were recorded across 18 towns and villages in the oblast. These included 8 missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia and 6 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Bilenke, Kamianske, Orikhiv, Malynivka and Rivnopillia.

Mykolaiv oblast

Referring to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, during the night, air defence forces shot down or suppressed 26 Shahed drones and decoy UAVs.

Kherson oblast

Based on the information provided by the Regional Military Administration, russian forces shelled a hospital in Kherson, injuring a female patient who sustained a hand wound.

In a separate attack on the central part of Kherson, a 61-year-old woman was wounded and diagnosed with blast and head injuries, concussion and shrapnel wounds to the thigh.

The City Military Administration reported that after 2pm, 2 employees of Kherson CMA were injured as a result of further shelling. Both sustained concussions and closed head injuries.

Around 2pm, a 65-year-old man came under attack in the central part of Kherson. He suffered blast trauma, closed head injury and multiple shrapnel wounds and died in hospital. Also, a 61-year-old woman was injured, sustaining blast and closed head injuries and concussion.

According to the State Emergency Service, in Beryslav region, debris from a downed russian drone fell on the grounds of a private household, causing a fire, which rescuers later extinguished. There were no casualties reported.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, informed that on 29 October, 12 people, including 2 children, were injured as a result of russian shelling across Kherson oblast. 4 high-rise buildings, 9 private houses, a cell tower, a church, an administrative building and several vehicles were damaged. In total, 43 settlements came under attack.

According to the City Military Administration, the mother and daughter who had been wounded in the earlier hospital attack in Kherson sought medical help again. The 16-year-old girl and her 42-year-old mother were diagnosed with concussions, blast injuries and acute stress reactions. Both were hospitalised.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

As of today, 27 sirens of the warning system are operating in Lutsk, of which 10 are new and 17 are of the soviet model. Next year, the community plans to install 5 more sirens, of which 3 are in places with a weak signal and 2 are in residential areas. The updated system should be fully operational from January, but it is currently still operating in test mode.

Zakarpattia oblast

Zoltan Shim, soldier from Chop community, was killed in the war on 13 October 2025, near the settlement of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk oblast.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

At dawn, the enemy launched a massive strike on a critical infrastructure facility in the Carpathian region. The Air Defense Forces were working. No casualties. 2 households suffered minor damage. All relevant services are involved in the elimination of the consequences.

Lviv oblast

As a result of a combined air and missile strike that took place on the night of 30 October, 2 energy infrastructure facilities were damaged in Lviv oblast. In particular, the russian army hit Dobrotvorsk TPP.

Rivne oblast

As a result of the enemy attack, there is minor damage to civilian infrastructure in the oblast. No people were injured. Representatives of the Security and Defense Forces, as well as other structures, are working at the scene.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil soldiers will receive a one-time cash benefit for treatment and rehabilitation. In 2024, payments were provided to 295 soldiers.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community sent 65 DJI Matrice 4T quadcopters to the Defense Forces in October.

Chernivtsi oblast

During the massive enemy attack over Chernivtsi oblast, 3 cruise missiles were recorded. One of them was neutralized by the Air Defense Forces. The others went beyond the oblast. As a result of the fall of fragments of a russian missile, a power transmission line was damaged within Novoselytsia community. There were no victims or injured. Currently, energy specialists and representatives of the Security and Defense Forces are working at the site – they are examining the territory and documenting russian war crimes against the civilian population.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

in Latvia . From July to October 2024, Serhii Khromenkov, through his personal TikTok account, distributed videos with the St. George ribbon, the russian flag, and approval of war crimes. In the videos, he threatened “retribution” and mentioned akhmat and wahner. He was sentenced to a year in prison. After serving his sentence, he was deported from Latvia and banned from entering for 4 years.
