In the Pokrovsk direction, The enemy carried out 36 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops near Shakhove, Dorozhnie, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, Novopavlivka, Novoekonomichne, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Balahan, Lysivka and Pokrovsk. In the Orikhiv direction, russian troops conducted four offensive actions near Stepove, Novodanylivka, Kamianske and Stepnohirsk.
In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian units repelled four enemy assaults near the Antonivka Road Bridge. The enemy launched airstrikes on the settlement of Olhivka.
During the meeting with regional leaders, the issue of regional business support was discussed. Support packages for local entrepreneurs have been developed in various regions and communities to help them maintain stable operations during these challenging times. Business support programmes have been adopted throughout the country, and most of the expenses have been financed. In total, the support package amounts to over UAH 9 billion. On the instructions of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, we are working with regional leaders and communities to expand and implement a regional track that will ensure the functioning of the economy.
The government has allocated UAN 8.4 billion for gas imports for the heating season for the population. This decision is part of preparations for winter amid shelling. Ukraine needs more gas to ensure stable heating during the heating season. Due to Russian strikes on gas infrastructure, Ukraine has temporarily lost its own gas production. The purchase of additional energy resources will contribute to a more reliable supply of gas and heat to Ukrainian homes during this period of energy terrorism by Russia. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

There were 148 combat clashes in the oblast.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders five times near Vovchansk and Kamianka.
Towards Kupiansk, there were eight combat clashes yesterday. Ukrainian defenders stopped the enemy’s assault actions in the vicinity of the settlement of Pishchane and towards Shyikivka.
Interior Minister Igor Klymenko told journalists that a statement by kremlin leader putin appeared in russian propaganda media that Kupiansk was surrounded. As of 29 October, fighting is ongoing in Kupiansk and putin’s statement does not correspond to reality.
Shelling
Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of Derhachi RMA, states that at about 7:05am, russians hit Ruska Lozova in Kharkiv oblast with a drone: two civilian cars were damaged.
Serhii Fedchenko, Head of the RMA, says that in Izium, on the night of 29 October, there were eight hits by Shahed drones.
Valeria Chirina, Spokeswoman for Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, says that a 49-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction as a result of russian strikes on a lyceum in Izium.
7 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were subjected to enemy strikes. Four people were injured as a result of the shelling.
In the village of Shevchenkove Pershe, Blyzniukiv community, a 75-year-old woman was injured; in the village of Rublene, Vilhuvatka community, a 52-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were injured; in the city of Izium, a 49-year-old man was injured.
Valeria Chirina, Spokeswoman for Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, says that a 56-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman from the village of Bereznyky were riding a motorcycle to Rublene, where a russian FPV drone hit the road next to them. The injured man has a concussion, shrapnel wounds to his arm and abdomen, and was hospitalized in serious condition. The woman has an explosive wound to her foot, a concussion, and her condition is moderate. According to her, the woman works as a security guard at a lyceum. Two hits on the educational institution hit the roof of the building, and two more hit the ground next to the building.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 156 people. 33 people remain. A total of 9,711 people have been registered at the Point since it began operating.
The film 2000 Meters to Andriivka by Mstyslav Chernov has been nominated for the Gotham Independent Film Award in the Best Documentary category. Donetsk oblast

The commander of the battalion of unmanned systems Shershni Dovbusha of the 68th separate chasseurs brigade under the pseudonym Feb says that in Pokrovsk, there are street battles and the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are disrupted. Servicemen have to reach positions on foot for several days. The occupiers are hunting with FPV drones and other types of weapons. The locals who remain in the city are also complicating the work. Shelling
Oleksandr Honcharenko, Head of the RMA, informs that on the afternoon of 29 October, russian troops struck Kramatorsk. A russian UAV of an unidentified type hit the territory of a private household in one of the settlements of the community.
Serhii Horbunov, Head of the RMA, informs that the russian army shelled Kostiantynivka with an FPV drone. As a result of the attack, a passenger car was damaged.
At about 3:30am, the occupiers shelled Sloviansk three times, the industrial zone was under fire. There was no information about casualties.
On October 28, the police recorded 2,090 russian strikes on the front line and residential sector.

Luhansk oblast
Towards Lyman, Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks 13 times, and towards Sloviansk — 10 times. In total, russian units tried to advance in the area of ten settlements, actively using artillery, unmanned aerial vehicles and FPV drones. 43 attempts to destroy Ukrainian troops’ positions using unmanned systems were recorded.
The occupation administration in the so-called “lpr” announced that the autumn draft, introduced from 1 October, will last not for three months, but until the end of hostilities. The corresponding decision was made by the state structures of the russian federation, which introduced continuous draft from 1 January to 31 December. Forced mobilization in the occupied territories has not actually stopped for the past 3.5 years.
Over the next five years, about 12.5% of the damaged pipelines will be replaced in the so-called “lpr”. Currently, more than 8 thousand km of water supply and sewage networks are in a state of emergency, which is about 80% of the total length. Previously, the occupation administration announced its intention to complete the repair by 2035, but the plan was abandoned: most of the networks will remain without updating.

Kyiv oblast
A World Bank delegation visited Bucha to inspect the residential buildings that will be restored under the “HOPE” project. The community is preparing for the comprehensive renovation of nearly 80 apartment buildings as part of the “Housing Repairs for Restoring People’s Rights and Opportunities” program. The project is financed by the World Bank with the support of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
In Kyiv, one-day national resistance courses will be held, according to the Municipal Guard. The courses will take place over three days: October 31 — tactical and firearms training, November 2 — first aid training, and November 3 — an introductory course. The free trainings will be conducted on Revutskoho Street. Registration is required to participate.
In the Kyiv region, rescuers practiced extinguishing a fire at a production facility located in one of the enterprises in the Bila Tserkva district. The purpose of the fire-tactical exercises was to test the operational readiness of the units during fire suppression in industrial premises, improve coordination among rescuers, and enhance their tactical thinking and practical skills.
In the Kyiv region, infrastructure is being developed in the village of Babyntsi, reported Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk. Following the renovation of the school, plans include the construction of a new outpatient clinic with the support of the International Organization for Migration, as well as the building of a water treatment station with the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
Zhytomyr oblast
At the 199th Training Center of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zhytomyr region, a virtual reality training methodology is being introduced. For this purpose, the center received 32 pairs of VR headsets, which will allow cadets preparing for frontline service to experience realistic combat conditions and develop stress resilience. This was reported by the psychological training group of the center.
In the Ovruch community, a 48-hour course on preparing citizens for national resistance began on October 27. Thirty residents of the community (21 women and 9 men) of various ages and professions are participating in the training. The courses are conducted by the Center for Training Citizens for National Resistance under a program that combines theoretical lectures with practical exercises.
Sumy oblast
The Regional Military Administration reported that on 29 October, the body of a 43-year-old man was found in Yunakivka community of Sumy region. Preliminary information indicates he was killed earlier that morning as a result of russian shelling.
Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of the Military Administration, said that at 07:35am on 29 October, russian forces attacked Sumy community by a drone. A fire broke out at a recreation base in Zarichnyi district of the city, damaging six holiday cottages. The fire was extinguished.
From the morning of 28 October to the morning of 29 October, russian troops carried out 96 attacks on 40 settlements across 14 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (15 strikes), UAVs (up to 10 strikes), UAV-dropped grenades (15 strikes), and FPV drones. The air raid alert in the oblast lasted a total of 17 hours and 27 minutes during the day.
As a result of russian shelling, three civilians were injured. In Esman community, a 50-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were wounded by an FPV drone strike. In the Velyka Pysarivka community, a 50-year-old man was injured when an explosive device was dropped from a UAV.
Civil infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
- In Velyka Pysarivka community, a private residential building, a car, two apartment blocks, 12 private houses, five garages, and two vehicles were damaged;
- In Esman community, a private car was damaged;
- In Seredyna-Buda community, a civil infrastructure facility was damaged.
According to the Sumy Regional Police “White Angel” police officers evacuated a 100-year-old woman from Velyka Pysarivka community in Okhtyrka region. The woman’s son requested assistance from the police. Kharytyna Yehorivna had lived in her home for a century and had hoped the situation would pass, but as the intensity of enemy shelling increased, evacuation became the only option.
Chernihiv oblast
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that during 28 October, fighters of the 105th Prince Volodymyr the Great Border Detachment destroyed four russian Shahed-type drones in Chernihiv oblast.
Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Head of Chernihiv Military Administration, said that at 08:12am on 29 October, an explosion from a Shahed drone was recorded in Chernihiv during an air raid alert. Enemy forces struck an infrastructure facility in the city centre.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi RMA, informed that during the night of 29 October, russian troops attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi by strike drones. UAVs hit a civil infrastructure facility, and a fire broke out at a private household near the explosion site. No casualties were reported.
According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, throughout 28 October, russian forces targeted transport infrastructure in Koriukivka region. A fire broke out after a UAV strike but was contained by firefighters. In another settlement, a residential building sustained damage to its roof and windows following an attack.
Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that during the day, russian troops attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast — Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. A total of 90 strikes were recorded, with 14 villages coming under fire. The enemy used mortars and artillery, carried out FPV drone strikes, and dropped explosive devices from UAVs.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, stated that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 729 civilians have been killed and 1,601 injured in Chernihiv oblast as a result of russian aggression. He stated that he met with Danielle Bell, Head of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, to discuss energy-related threats caused by russian shelling and international partners’ assessments of documented russian war crimes.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Air Defence Forces were active in the oblast, shooting down four enemy UAVs.
Nikopol region: More than twenty attacks were recorded. From evening until morning, the occupiers targeted the regional centre, as well as Marhanets and Pokrovske communities, using drones and artillery. A 38-year-old man was injured and received medical assistance. A fire broke out, damaging vehicles, a private house, an administrative building, and infrastructure.
Synelnykove region: The enemy used UAVs to strike Vasylkivka and Mykolaivka communities, damaging infrastructure.
Later, Nikopol region suffered around 45 drone and artillery attacks targeting the regional centre, Myrove, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets, and Pokrovske communities. Two private houses, two petrol stations, a car, and a farm building were damaged.
In Synelnykove region, the occupiers launched guided aerial bombs and UAVs against the Mezhova, Pokrovske, and Dubovykivka communities, damaging infrastructure, a private house, and a vehicle.
In Pavlohrad region, a UAV strike injured two women aged 46 and 58 in the district centre and damaged a kindergarten.
Vinnytsia oblast
Serhii Morhunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia, reported that in Vinnytsia, military personnel who became winners of this year’s Unbreakable Vinnytsia Film Festival received their awards. The Kraken Active Operations Unit was awarded a pickup truck and drones for first place. Second place went to a film by the 5th Separate Assault Kyiv Brigade, and third to the Materik Air Force Battalion, both receiving FPV drones. The Unbreakable Vinnytsia Film Festival was held for the first time with a military theme, featuring entries from service members across various units.
Kirovohrad oblast
According to Oleh Rybalchenko, Head of the Regional Health Department, in 2025, 3,655 service members and veterans in Kirovohrad oblast received free dental treatment. Another 580 people received prosthetics services under the state’s Medical Guarantees Programme. The programme funds two service packages contracted by hospitals with the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU). Free dental treatment is available in 17 hospitals across the oblast, and prosthetics in four.
Oleksandriia, Kirovohrad oblast, paid tribute to defender Viacheslav Pustovyi, 46, who died on 22 October in Lviv while undergoing treatment for injuries sustained during a combat mission near Stepne village, Sumy oblast.
Poltava oblast
Poltava City Administrative Services Centre (CNAP) may begin accepting documents for deferment from military service for conscripts. The draft decision will be considered at Poltava City Council session on 31 October 2025.
In October, Poltava City Council approved 50 compensation applications for housing damaged or destroyed during hostilities, with total payments exceeding UAH 8.4m.. The largest compensation amounted to UAH 2m., and the smallest — UAH 3,886.
Cherkasy oblast
Cherkasy paid tribute to two servicemen — Serhii Budii and Oleksandr Leonenko — who were killed in 2024.
Serhii Budii, aged 30, was killed on 18 November 2024 in artillery shelling towards Kursk.
Oleksandr Leonenko, a senior grenadier section gunner, was killed on 18 June 2024 in Donetsk oblast. He was 48 years old.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 28 October, the occupiers executed 627 strikes on 18 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces conducted 9 airstrikes on Sokolivka, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Rivnopillya, Uspenivka, Bilohiria, Malynivka, and Novoupsenivske. 397 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Chervonodniprovka, Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. Three strikes with MLRS hit Novodanilivka, Shcherbaky, and Novomykolaivka. 218 artillery strikes were carried out on Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Preobrazhenka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. There were 45 reports of damage to houses, farm buildings, and vehicles. Two men were injured as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia region.
As of 4pm on 29 October, there was one combat engagement towards Huliaipole near the settlement of Zelenyi Hai. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy carried out four offensive actions near Stepove, Novodanylivka, Kamianske, and Stepnohirsk towards Orikhiv. On 28 October, the Defense Forces repelled 14 russian attacks towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv.
It is reported that a russian train was blown up in the temporarily occupied Stulneve in Berdyansk region, including the locomotive, ten cars, and a cover platform. According to the Chief Directorate of Intelligence, about 70 meters of railway track between the temporarily occupied settlements of Chernihivka and Stulneve were damaged — train traffic is paralyzed.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, during the night four Shahed-type UAVs and various types of drone imitators were shot down or suppressed in the region. Overall, on 28 October, there were no shelling in Mykolaiv oblast.
Odesa oblast
On the night of 29 October, the enemy launched another massive attack on civilian infrastructure in Odesa oblast. According to the press service of Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the shelling damaged energy and transport infrastructure. A 52-year-old man was injured and hospitalized. More than 50 settlements were left without electricity.
DTEK Odesa Networks reported that the damage to the energy facility is significant. Repair work will take some time to restore the equipment to working condition. Energy specialists have already reconnected critical infrastructure and about 7,000 customers to backup power sources. At the same time, 26,900 households remain temporarily without electricity.
Kherson oblast
This morning, russian servicemen carried out an artillery strike on a children’s hospital. Enemy shells hit the building housing the outpatient clinic of the pediatric medical facility. Nine people were injured, including four children.

Around 4:30pm, a russian drone attacked Chornobaivka. A 51-year-old local resident sustained explosive and cranial injuries, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to the abdomen.
Around 11:30am, russian forces shelled Tsentralnyi district of Kherson. A 36-year-old man was injured, suffering explosive and cranial injuries and a concussion.
Medical assistance was also needed for a resident of Bilozerka who was injured in yesterday’s russian shelling. An enemy shell hit in front of her house. The 51-year-old woman was diagnosed with an explosive injury and a concussion.
Yesterday, the russian forces attacked Antonivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Bilozerska, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Kizomys, Sofiivka, Dniprovske, Ponyativka, Mykilske, Ivanivka, Novotiahynka, Beryslav, Novoraisk, Mylove, Kachkarivka, Dudchany, Olhivka, Virivka, Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Mykolaivka, Tokarivka, Mala Oleksandrivka, Pervomaiske, Bezvodne, Bilousove, Nova Shestirnia, Vesele, Kozatske, and the city of Kherson. As a result of the attacks, 7 apartment buildings, 7 private houses, administrative buildings, a private garage and vehicles, and a gas pipeline were damaged. The gas leak has been stopped, and there are currently no threats or fires. 1 person was killed and 3 were injured due to russian aggression.
