The enemy from the territory of the russian federation launched artillery attacks on the vicinity of settlements, in particular Yanzhulivka, Yasna Poliana, Hremiach, Buchky in Chernihiv oblast; Bezsalivka, Ryzhivka, Tovstodubove, Rohizne in Sumy oblast.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the enemy carried out 54 attacks on settlements and positions of Ukrainian units, in particular two from multiple launch rocket systems.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy attacked six times in the vicinity of the settlements of Starytsia, Prylipka, and Vovchansk. Two combat clashes are ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy is trying to advance towards Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, and Novoosynovo. In total, there were four combat clashes, two of which are currently ongoing.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
Oleksandr Danylenko from the Gart border brigade, reports that for more than two weeks, russian troops have been conducting active assault operations in the north of Kharkiv oblast, trying to find weak points in Ukrainian defense from various directions. According to him, the russian federation is implementing a plan to create a “buffer zone” by seizing the border area: small infantry groups are used for attacks with the support of artillery, drones, GABs and periodically helicopters, without involving armored vehicles. russian UAVs pose a key threat, while Ukrainian drones are the main means of defeating assault groups: recently, Gart drones hit russian artillery and an ammunition depot in the rear at a distance of 23 km.

Towards Kupiansk, there were 12 attacks. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the vicinity of the settlement of Borivska Andriivka, Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Novoosynovoe.
Victoria Ilinska, the company’s communications manager, says that russia launched a missile strike on the warehouse building of the Philip Morris Ukraine tobacco factory, which is currently out of operation.

4 settlements in the oblast were hit by enemy strikes. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and two were injured.

On January 27, at around 16:30, russian troops attacked the passenger train “Barvinkove – Lviv-Chop” in Barvinkove community of Kharkiv oblast with three UAVs, previously of the Geran-2 type. One drone hit a pole, the second hit the track, and the third hit the 16th car, where 18 passengers were. The attack killed six people, two passengers – a policewoman and a policeman – are from Donetsk oblast.
Petro Tokar, Head of Kharkiv region’s police, reports that a policewoman and a policeman from Donetsk oblast were injured as a result of a russian drone attack on a train on January 27. According to him, the policeman had two fingers on his right hand amputated.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the russian army has almost quadrupled the number of attacks towards Pokrovsk over the past 24 hours. The invaders conducted 87 assaults in the vicinity of Toretske, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Rivne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka and towards the settlements of Chervonyi Lyman, Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Hryshyne, Novopidhorodne, Muravka, Ivanivka, and Filiia. The day before, there were 22 attacks in the direction.
russian troops also conducted more assaults towards Lyman, Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka, and Oleksandrivka compared to the previous day.
The RMA says that in Druzhkivka, gas supply disruptions are possible, russian shelling damaged the gas supply system.
The Rubizh brigade reports that towards Pokrovsk, Ukrainian military personnel conducted a unique operation to rescue a broken robot with another robotic complex. The operation lasted about 15 hours.
The RMA says that russian troops attacked the critical infrastructure of Kramatorsk with a Molniya-2 drone at about 7:43 a.m.. The consequences of the russian strike are being established.

the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Eastern Region reports that in Donetsk oblast, six servicemen are suspected of evading the construction of fortifications and providing false information, through which they received over UAH 900 thousand.
69-year-old Alla Koliada from the frontline village of Novokryvorizhzhia in Donetsk oblast, who for a long time remained the only resident of the settlement without electricity and communication, was evacuated at the end of 2025 and now lives in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. Her younger son, mining rescuer Vitaly Kolyada, was killed during the russian strike on Dobropillia on the night of March 7-8, 2025, her older son died of illness 40 days before that, and the woman lost her husband even earlier. Alla was found in the village destroyed by shelling on December 31, and a few days later she was evacuated by the State Emergency Service. Volunteers provided the woman with housing in the rear, where she moved with part of her household.

Luhansk oblast
Over the past day, russian troops have concentrated their main offensive efforts in the Grekivka area, trying to advance. Towards Lyman and Slaviansk, there were 20 assaults, the enemy actively used mortars and UAVs.
In the occupied Luhansk oblast, students from russian medical colleges will be involved in military hospitals: in February, a rotation of 36 people from Altai Territory is planned, who will cover more than 4,200 km, and the business trip will be counted as practice. At the same time, about 300 thousand residents of the region were left without centralized water supply due to accidents on water pipelines that are more than 80% worn out: there is no water in Briansk, Perevalsk, Kadiivka, Irmin, Almazna, Zorynsk, Kypuchy, Alchevsk and surrounding settlements.

Kyiv oblast
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko reported that on the morning of 30 January, 378 high-rise buildings in Kyiv were still without heat with the majority of them located in Troieschyna. Over the past day, more than 100 buildings in Troieschyna were connected to heating, with another 50 connected last night.
Ukrzaliznytsia has increased the number of teams helping utility workers restore communications in Kyiv. Currently, 60 railway repair crews are working in the capital. Fourteen of them are repairing communications in Troieschyna, the most difficult area, where many residents of high-rise buildings remain without heating and, in some cases, without electricity for over a week.
The district state administration reported that in Kyiv, in the Desnianskyi district, supermarkets are operating around the clock. There people can not only buy necessary products, but also rest, warm up, and recharge gadgets.
In Kyiv oblast, rescuers found explosives in a lake during an inspection of the water area. The explosive device contained about 1.5 kg of explosives. The State Emergency Service noted that UAV debris and explosive elements can be deadly even after prolonged exposure to water.
The RMA reported that to ensure the autonomy of heating systems, the Kyiv oblast received modular boiler equipment for communities from the Italian Republic. These are modern water-heating boilers with the necessary components and auxiliary systems. This equipment can operate as a primary or backup heat source and allows for the reinforcement of boiler rooms, heating and power plants, and critical infrastructure facilities.
The Kyiv City State Administration reported that the first batch of nearly 60 generators had arrived in Kyiv from the Warsaw City Council and community. The next batch will arrive in the coming days. These backup power sources will allow the city to strengthen the resilience of critical facilities, social institutions, and residential buildings. The generators have already begun to be distributed to some areas of Kyiv, in particular to power equipment in buildings experiencing problems with the restoration of heat supply.
Zhytomyr oblast
According to Zhytomyroblenergo JSC, hourly power outages will be in effect in Zhytomyr oblast on 30 January. They may change throughout the day depending on the current situation in the power system.
On 29 January, singers Dmytro and Nazariy Yaremchuk donated four electronic warfare devices to the military of the 9th Zhytomyr Border Guard Detachment named after the Sich Riflemen. According to the artists, the electronic warfare devices for the military were purchased with funds raised at charity concerts they gave at the end of 2025.
Sumy oblast
The Oblast Prosecutor’s Office reported that on 30 January at around 10am, residents of Yunakivka community in Sumy region discovered the body of a 27-year-old woman. According to preliminary information, she was killed as a result of a strike by an enemy UAV.
Over the course of the day, from the morning of 29 January to the morning of 30 January, russian forces carried out nearly 20 attacks on six settlements across six territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Okhtyrka regions. The enemy used artillery, mortars, FPV drones, and UAVs. Over the day, air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 14 hours and 56 minutes. As a result of russian shelling, non-residential premises were damaged in Okhtyrka community, while a residential house was damaged in Hlukhiv community.
Over the course of the day, local authorities jointly with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police Department, and civil society organisations evacuated 12 people from border communities.
The National Police Department in Sumy oblast informed that the “White Angels” crew evacuated a married couple following an air strike in Myropillia community. The house hit by a russian aerial bomb was destroyed, leaving the couple trapped under the rubble. After the air strike, military personnel pulled the injured civilians from beneath the debris. Due to the risk of further shelling, a decision was taken to carry out an immediate evacuation.
Chernihiv oblast
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that during the daytime on 30 January, russian forces attacked Semenivka three times. An FPV drone struck a civilian VAZ-2115 vehicle parked at the roadside, damaging the car. russian forces also attacked a residential quarter of the town by a Molniia-type UAV. In addition, a Molniia strike UAV hit a private residential house, which sustained significant damage as a result of the explosion.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that at around 3am on 30 January, the enemy attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi City House of Culture by Heran strike UAVs. Four explosions were recorded. A fire broke out at the impact site, and facades and windows of nearby buildings were damaged.
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that over the course of 29 January, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (two explosions) and tube artillery strikes (six explosions), launched unguided aerial rockets (seven explosions), used Molniia-type UAVs (three explosions), FPV drones (20 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (two explosions). Semenivka town and nine villages came under fire.
The State Emergency Service in Chernihiv oblast reported that diver-sappers discovered remnants of a UAV in Snov River in Koriukivka region. Information about a suspicious object in the water was provided by local fishermen.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, the enemy continued to attack the regional centre, as well as Marhanets and Pokrovske rural communities, using artillery and drones. Two enterprises, a cultural centre, an apartment building, and a tractor were damaged. In Pavlohrad, a truck was damaged as a result of a UAV attack. The occupiers also attacked Synelnykove, Malomykhailivka community, and Vasylkivka community by UAVs. A 59-year-old man was injured. A fire broke out, and a private house and infrastructure facilities were damaged.
The enemy also continued to attack the regional centre, as well as Marhanets, Myrove, and Pokrovske rural communities by artillery and drones. A private house, an outbuilding, and a power line were damaged. As a result of a UAV attack in Synelnykove, men aged 29 and 41 were injured. A fire broke out, and a private house and a transport enterprise were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
Fallen serviceman of Vinnytsia Police Rifle Battalion Dmytro Ahatiev was posthumously awarded the title Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Gold Star. On 29 January, the President of Ukraine presented the award to the defender’s wife and 13-year-old son.
Poltava oblast
In Poltava, a farewell ceremony was held for Lieutenant Ivan Katchenko. Serviceman Ivan Katchenko defended Ukraine during the full-scale invasion. He was born and lived in Poltava and graduated from the Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy. He was killed on 24 January 2026 in Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 29 January, the occupiers carried out 799 strikes on 33 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 14 airstrikes on Kushuhum, Malokaterynivka, Barvinivka, Liubytske, Nove Pole, Zaliznychne, Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Charivne, and Kopani. 493 UAVs of various types, mostly FPV drones, attacked Zaporizhzhia, Vilniansk, Novomykolaivka, Tavriiske, Sofiivka, Spasivka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Lukianivske, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Staroukrainka, Varvarivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Dobropillia, and Kosivtseve. Seven MLRS strikes were carried out on Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Charivne, Pryluky, and Dobropillia. 285 artillery strikes hit the territory of Chervonodniprovka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Lukianivske, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, and Pryluky. 132 reports of damage to housing and infrastructure facilities were received. Three people were injured as a result of enemy attacks on the regional center and Zaporizhzhia region.
The press service of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia oblast reported that on 29 January, five fires broke out in Zaporizhzhia and the region due to russian shelling. Two people were injured and received assistance.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 30 January, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven russian attacks in the areas of Huliaipole, Dobropillia, and Olenokostiantynivka towards Huliaipole. One combat engagement is still ongoing. The enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Stepnohirsk towards Orikhiv direction.
The spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, stated that information about the capture of the settlement of Ternuvate in Zaporizhzhia oblast is not true, and that enemy sabotage groups that entered the settlement to film propaganda videos were eliminated. Ternuvate is currently under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, 29 January, on the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed a russian Osa surface-to-air missile system and russian military equipment, warehouses, and positions.
Mykolaiv oblast
Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 29 January, the enemy carried out 20 FPV drone attacks and two attacks with Molniya-type strike drones on Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. Windows and doors of a non-operational educational facility in the village of Dmytrivka were damaged; a power line in the village of Dniprovske was damaged. Consumers were temporarily cut off from electricity, but power was restored to all. There were no casualties.
Kherson oblast
Around noon today, the aggressor state’s troops carried out another strike on central Kherson. A route bus carrying seven passengers and the driver came under fire from multiple-launch rocket systems. As a result of the hit, the 48-year-old driver was killed at the scene. Five passengers — three women and two men — sustained injuries of varying severity and are being treated in hospitals.

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on 30 January at around 17:00, russians shelled Korabelnyi district of Kherson. Three people were injured. In addition, as a result of the midday shelling of the district, windows were blown out, and balconies were damaged in two apartment buildings.
Two residents of Bilozerka sought medical assistance after a russian drone attacked their house on 29 January. A 68-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman sustained blast injuries and concussions.
Police of Kherson oblast reported that yesterday, 29 January, the russian forces attacked Kherson, Antonivka, Kizomys, Rozlyv, Prydniprovske, Dniprovske, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Yantarne, Velytenske, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Sadove, Mykilske, Tomyna Balka, Sofiivka, Pravdyne, Novodmytrivka, Beryslav, Novovorontsovka, Zolota Balka, Ukrainka, Novoraisk, Kostyrka, Urozhaine, Chervone, Stepne, Kachkarivka, Osokorivka, Rakivka, Tarasa Shevchenka, Tomaryne, Dudchany, Kozatske, and Vesele. As a result of russian attacks, 24 sites were damaged: two apartment buildings and nine private houses, medical and educational institutions, a cultural center, a farm, three passenger cars and one truck, gas pipelines, a warehouse facility, and a garage. Three people were killed, and ten were injured due to russian aggression.

Volyn oblast
Two diesel engine repair teams from Kovel and Volodymyr regions left for the capital – a total of 10 specialists. Another team of 8 people from Kamin-Kashyr region will leave for the capital on February 2. The specialists are provided with all the necessary equipment and will work in Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. They are experienced welders and fitters.
Zakarpattia oblast
Over UAH 31.8 million of tourist revenue last year went to the local budgets of Zakarpattia. This is 37.6% more than the year before last. Such dynamics indicate an increase in tourist activity and the gradual regulation of the market.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Prykarpattia is actively participating in the national project Side by Side: United Communities, which unites home and front-line communities to support and restore them in wartime. Yamnytsia territorial community signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Burynska community of Sumy oblast.
Lviv oblast
Lviv has introduced a regime of emergency preparedness due to a possible russian strike. The city authorities are calling on residents to check shelters, charge power banks, stock up on water, food and medicine, and take care of people with disabilities and elderly neighbors. In the event of a lack of light or heat, residents will be informed about the nearest Invincibility Points.
Rivne oblast
416 children from Rivne oblast recovered last year at the Artek international center. These are children of military personnel, orphans, and those with disabilities. The state paid for the rest. In total, 3,814 children from the region aged 7 to 18 rested and recovered last year with funds from budgets of various levels.
Ternopil oblast
A memorial service for the fallen defenders of Ukraine was held in Ternopil under the title “The Light of Prayer in the Darkness of War”. A joint prayer was held near the Memorial Stele “To the Soldiers Who Died for the Freedom of Ukraine”.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community handed over 8 multi-channel complexes covering a wide range of frequencies to the military. The total cost is almost UAH 1.7 million.
Chernivtsi oblast
A meeting was held in Chernivtsi City Council with Valentina Dobrydina, Representative of the Government Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the RMA. The implementation of inclusive projects in the region, the work of the Representative of the Government Commissioner, the activities of the Accessibility Council at the RMA, as well as steps to improve accessibility in the region were discussed.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Kyiv oblast received a batch of aid from the Republic of Poland – 35 generators of various capacities and 18 oil heaters. This is part of a large support program: in total, we are talking about 379 generators, which will be delivered to Kyiv oblast by the end of January. In addition, the Polish Government has already decided to purchase 10 more powerful generators.
Italy transferred to Ukraine 78 units of industrial boiler equipment with a total capacity of over 112 MW – modular and hot water boilers together with burners, components, filters and auxiliary systems. The total weight of this batch is over 208 tons, the estimated cost of humanitarian aid is 1 million 856 thousand euros.
