It has been the 1436  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 180 combat engagements on the front.

The enemy fired artillery from the territory of the Russian Federation at populated areas, including Khrinivka in Chernihiv region; Kucherivka, Rohizne, Studenok, Budky, Bezsalivka, Yastrubshchyna, Iskryskivshchyna, Ryzhivka in Sumy region.

In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy made seven attempts to advance and carried out 37 shellings of settlements and our units’ positions, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South-Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked 11 times in the areas of Vovchansk, Starytsia, Tyke, and towards the settlements of Ternova, Hrafskе, Vovchanski Khutory, Hryhorivka, and Kolodyazne.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy is attempting to advance near Borivska Andriivka and towards Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Novoosynove. In total, ten combat engagements occurred in this direction, five of which are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy attacks near Drobysheve, Stepy, Hrekivka, and towards Druzhelyubivka and Stavky.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces attempted twice to advance on our positions towards Zakitne. One engagement is currently ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy conducted no offensive actions.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the invaders carried out 15 offensive actions near Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, and towards Kostyantynivka, Illinivka, Berestka, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka. One attack is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian occupiers made 77 attempts to push our troops from their positions in Toretske, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Rivne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, and towards Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Hryshyne, Novopidhorodne, Muravka, Ivanivka, and Filiia. The Defense Forces are holding the line and have already repelled 65 attacks.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the aggressor attacked 19 times near Verbove and towards Ivanivka, Iskra, Oleksandrohrad, Oleksiivka, Danylivka, and Novyi Zaporizhzhia. Havrylivka was hit by a guided bomb airstrike.

In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 enemy attacks near Huliaipole and towards Dobropillia, Radisne, Varvarivka, Zelenyi, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantivka, Sviatopetrivka, and Staroukrainka. Additionally, enemy aviation struck Verkhnia Tersa. Nine engagements are still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked our defenders’ positions twice towards Lukianivske and Pavlivka.

In the Prydniprovske direction, the Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack towards the Antonivskyi Bridge.

No significant changes have been recorded in other directions so far.

Ukrainian troops continue to wear down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

In the South-Slobozhansky direction, the occupier attacked 11 times in the areas of Vovchansk, Starytsia, Tyke, and towards the settlements of Ternova, Hrafskе, Vovchanski Khutory, Hryhorivka, and Kolodyazne, the General Staff reported.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian Federation is attempting to advance near Borivska Andriivka and towards Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Novoosynove. In total, ten combat engagements occurred in this direction, five of which are ongoing as of 16:00.

During the past day, 117 combat engagements were recorded.

In the South-Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attempted 14 times to breach the defensive lines of our defenders near Vovchansk, Starytsia, Prylipka, and towards Obukhivka, Zelenyi, Vovchanski Khutory, Kolodyazne, and Kutkivka.

In the Kupiansk direction, two enemy attacks took place yesterday. Our defenders repelled the assaults towards Radkivka and Pishchane.

In the Kurylivka community, as a result of enemy shelling, a 47-year-old woman was killed and a 52-year-old woman was injured.

Also, in the Vilkhuvatka community, a 57-year-old employee of a local municipal enterprise was injured when the enemy struck his vehicle with an FPV drone.

Over the past day, three settlements in Kharkiv region came under enemy fire.

As a result of shelling in Khutnie village, Velykoburlutska community, a 47-year-old man was killed.

Medical assistance was provided to a 79-year-old woman who was injured on January 27 during shelling in Kupiansk.

The enemy actively used various types of weapons across Kharkiv region:

▪ 9 UAVs of the “Geran-2” type;
▪ 2 FPV drones;
▪ 2 UAVs (type being determined).

In Izium district, two vehicles were damaged (Barvinkove).

It has been established that six people were killed on the spot as a result of shelling of a passenger train in Barvinkivka community. DNA samples are currently being collected from relatives; identification of the deceased will follow. Train traffic in this direction is disrupted. The security situation is being analyzed, and countermeasures against Russian strikes are being developed together with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Evacuation from dangerous areas is ongoing. In Kupiansk, 450 people remain in the city. Yesterday, 11 people were evacuated.

The military freed three residents of Osadkivka village after a Russian shelling. Two men were taken to a transit center, and a 79-year-old woman was hospitalized in serious condition at the regional clinical hospital, reported Andrii Kanashevych, head of the Kupiansk District Military Administration.

The transit evacuation center in Lozova received 97 people over the past day. Since the center began operating, a total of 17,535 people have been registered.

Donetsk oblast

Over the past day, Russian forces attacked the front in Donetsk region more than 40 times, the General Staff reported.

More than half of the battles — 22 in total — occurred in the Pokrovsk direction. Assaults took place in the areas of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Filiia, and Dachne.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian troops attacked nine times near Kostyantynivka, Predtechyne, Pleshchiivka, Sofiivka, and towards Novopavlivka.

Infantry pressure from the Russian army has decreased due to the weather; however, the number of guided aerial bombs has sharply increased — from 2–3 at the beginning of the week to 30 in the past day. Drones and artillery remain active, with observed deception maneuvers and movement of equipment, which may indicate preparations by Russia for a new offensive, said Yuliia Stepaniuk, head of communications at the 117th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

A soldier of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign recorded a video message from Kostyantynivka confirming that, as of January 29, there are no Russian troops in the city, despite claims from the Russian side, the 19th Army Corps reported.

In Myrnohrad, FPV drone operators from the 79th Air Assault Brigade destroyed a vehicle with five occupiers inside: one was killed, four were injured. Small-arms fighting continues in the city.

On the night of January 28–29, Kramatorsk community came under a combined Russian attack, reported the head of the Military Administration Honcharenko:

▫ At 22:15, a “Molniia-2” UAV struck critical infrastructure;
▫ At 00:15, a strike UAV hit the private sector;
▫ At 00:20, an FPV drone with a combat payload struck a fiber-optic line and hit a residential area, damaging a house;
▫ At 00:20, a “Molniia-2” UAV struck the private sector, damaging two homes.

In Druzhkivka community, shelling damaged main and local heating networks. Due to temperature fluctuations, some sections of the heat network thawed, causing multiple ruptures, said Andrii Pankov, head of Druzhkivka Military Administration. He noted that only a limited number of personnel are physically performing emergency repair work in the city.

On January 28, the police recorded 1,713 enemy strikes along the front line and in residential areas of the region.

Nine settlements came under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk; the towns of Myrne and Oleksandrivka; the villages of Ocheretyne and Starodubivka.

A total of 43 civilian facilities were damaged, including 20 residential buildings. One person was killed and one injured as a result of Russian shelling in Donetsk region.

In Druzhkivka, Russian forces struck a gas service vehicle with an FPV drone, killing a 47-year-old employee.

In Sloviansk, the enemy struck with two “Geran-2” UAVs, injuring a civilian and damaging railway infrastructure and eight vehicles.

In Kramatorsk, Russia attacked with three “KAB-250” bombs, a “Uragan” MLRS, and drones of various types, damaging at least 14 private houses, a boiler house, and a civilian vehicle.

In Oleksandrivka, a “Geran-2” UAV strike damaged three apartment buildings, one private house, an outbuilding, a hospital, and a boiler house.

In Mykolaivka, three civilian vehicles were damaged; in Myrne and Starodubivka, one private house was damaged in each settlement.

The film “2000 Meters to Andriivka” by director Mstyslav Chernov, about the operation to liberate a village in Donetsk region, is among the nominees for the Writers Guild of America Awards.

The film will compete in the category “Best Documentary Screenplay.” This year, the award ceremony will take place on March 8. The Writers Guild Awards are an annual honor presented by the Writers Guild of America since 1949 for outstanding achievements in film, television, and radio.

Previously, the film received a BAFTA nomination, and Mstyslav Chernov himself was nominated in the “Documentary” category for the Directors Guild of America Awards.

Luhansk oblast

The enemy continues shelling frontline villages in Luhansk region. Over the past day, Hrekivka, Novoiehorivka, and Nadiia came under seven mortar strikes. FPV drones were used four times in Novoiehorivka and Nadiia, and automatic grenade launchers were also fired near Nadiia.

In temporarily occupied Luhansk, the socio-economic crisis is intensifying: promised jobs have not been created, industry and the coal sector have declined, and wage arrears are growing. In 2025, only 6.8% of job applications were fulfilled — 720 people were employed, while 1,168 specialists were sought by employers.

In Lutuhyne, the Russian military recruitment office has stepped up the selection of future infantry soldiers, including school graduates, who are being encouraged to sign contracts with the Russian army immediately upon reaching adulthood.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian 1L119 “Nebo-SVU” radar station near temporarily occupied Lymarivka. The estimated cost of the destroyed system is approximately USD 100 million, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the mayor of Kyiv, Vitalii Klychko, as of the morning of 29 January, 613 high-rise buildings in Kyiv remain without heat supply. Over the past day, heat has been supplied to 124 more buildings. Utility services and energy companies are working around the clock to restore heat supply to homes affected by massive russian attacks on critical infrastructure in the capital.

The government is launching a programme to support apartment buildings with autonomous power supply during outages, called ‘SvitloDim’ (Light House). The programme will operate in communities facing energy emergencies, starting with Kyiv and the surrounding oblast. Assistance ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 hryvnia will be available to condominium associations, housing and service cooperatives, and apartment building managers. The funds will be allocated for the purchase of generators, batteries, inverters, and other power equipment.

The Kyiv City State Administration’s Department of Health has announced that Kyiv continues to expand its network of psychological assistance facilities. Currently, the Mental Health Centre ‘Return’ has been opened at the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 4. It is aimed at supporting military personnel, veterans and their families who have suffered psychological trauma as a result of russian aggression.

In Irpin, the city council announced plans to restore two apartment buildings that were damaged by russian shelling. One of them will be rebuilt from scratch, while the other will have its top two floors dismantled and structure restored. The restoration will be carried out as part of the regional programme for the reconstruction of apartment buildings in Kyiv oblast.

The Bucha City Council announced that the community has begun its second round of recruitment for a basic course to prepare citizens for national resistance. The programme covers 15 areas, from psychological and pre-medical training to engineering, mine safety, communications, tactics and the use of UAVs. After the final test, participants will receive a certificate of successful completion of the course. 

Zhytomyr oblast

The Regional State Administration reported that Zhytomyr oblast has actively joined the implementation of the housing voucher programme for internally displaced persons from temporarily occupied territories. Currently, 411 applications from citizens for housing vouchers have been registered in the communities of the oblast. Thirty-four applications have already been approved, including 15 in the Zhytomyr community, 7 in Korostyshiv, 4 in Brusyliv, 3 in Berezivka, 1 in Lyubar, 1 in Kharitonivka, 2 in Andrushivka, and 1 in Shvaykivka. 

Sumy oblast

Artem Semenikhin, Konotop City Mayor reported that on 28 January, the russian army struck Konotop. As a result of the attack, a hospital, a critical infrastructure facility, and private houses were damaged.

Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that in Velyka Pysarivka community, a 39-year-old man was killed on 27 January as a result of an enemy drone attack.

Over the course of the day, from the morning of 28 January to the morning of 29 January, russian forces carried out nearly 10 attacks on seven settlements across five territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Okhtyrka regions. The enemy used mortars, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs. During the day, air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 18 hours and 29 minutes.

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed:

  • In Konotop community, a civilian infrastructure facility, a healthcare institution building, private residential houses, and non-residential premises were damaged;
  • In Okhtyrka community, non-residential premises were damaged.

Over the course of the day, local authorities jointly with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police Department, and civil society organisations evacuated 109 people from border communities.

According to Sumy Oblast Prosecutor’s Office, in Sumy oblast, 3,274 criminal proceedings related to war crimes were registered in 2025. During this period, russian servicemen killed 196 civilians, including eight children. Overall, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 7,000 criminal proceedings have been initiated, with 553 fatalities recorded, including 27 children. More than 14,755 civilian facilities have been destroyed or damaged, including 11,274 residential buildings and households, 297 educational institutions, 66 medical facilities, 35 cultural sites, 21 religious buildings, and 2,002 critical infrastructure facilities.

Chernihiv oblast

The Northern Forest Office branch reported that on 29 January, during the daytime, a russian FPV drone struck a service vehicle belonging to foresters of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” at the territory of an intermediate warehouse of Kostobobrivske Forestry, located near the border in Chernihiv oblast. The vehicle and the employees’ personal belongings were completely destroyed by fire. No injuries were reported among the staff.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that on 29 January, russian forces attacked the centre of the border town of Semenivka by a Molniia-type strike UAV. The consequences of the attack are being clarified.

As a result of a russian attack on Kamianska Sloboda village in Novhorod-Siverskyi community on 29 January, a 48-year-old woman was injured. She sustained multiple injuries after a private residential house was hit.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, informed that over the past day, 28 January, russian strikes in Chernihiv oblast targeted communications, energy, and transport facilities, as well as a critical infrastructure enterprise. Koriukivka, Novhorod-Siverskyi, Chernihiv, and Nizhyn regions came under attack. A fire broke out at one of the impact sites. As a result of another strike, a number of border settlements remain without power supply.

According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, over the course of 28 January, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast — Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out strikes using Herbera-type UAVs (two explosions), a Molniia-type UAV (one explosion), FPV drones (22 explosions), and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (one explosion). Semenivka town and eight villages were under fire.

The State Environmental Inspectorate in Chernihiv oblast announced that damage exceeding UAH 127m. was inflicted on the environment as a result of a russian drone strike in Pryluky in October 2025. The strike caused a fire and destruction of technological equipment used for the reception, storage, and shipment of hydrocarbons at one of the city’s enterprises. According to the fire report, a tank farm containing commercial oil with a total volume of more than 2,539 tonnes was burning. The fire lasted for more than a day, resulting in an uncontrolled release of pollutants into the atmosphere.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, the enemy attacked five regions of the oblast. There were casualties. The occupiers shelled the Chervonohryhorivka community using MLRS.

The enemy attacked Mykolaivka community by UAVs. Two men aged 33 and 43 were injured and received the necessary medical assistance. Vehicles and a cultural facility were damaged.

As a result of a UAV attack in Bohdanivka community, fires broke out. Vehicles were damaged.

Enemy forces struck Pishchanka community by UAVs. A non-operational café caught fire. In Kryvyi Rih, a UAV attack damaged a single-storey building and two vehicles.

The enemy also attacked the regional centre, as well as Marhanets, Myrove, Pokrovske rural, and Chervonohryhorivka communities by drones and artillery. Nine private houses, two outbuildings, three summer houses, and power lines were damaged. The occupiers struck Kryvyi Rih by UAVs, killing a woman. Three other people — two women and a man — were injured. Fires broke out, and 10 private houses were damaged.

The occupiers also carried out FPV drone attacks on Zelenodolsk community, damaging solar panels. russian forces directed UAVs at Synelnykove, Petropavlivka, Mykolaivka, and Pokrovske communities. The latter was also hit by guided aerial bombs. Fires broke out, and five private houses, four outbuildings, a medical facility, an administrative building, a gymnasium, a house of culture, nine vehicles, and a fire station were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Former battalion commander and retired major Dmytro Yakovets, who defended Ukraine towards Donetsk, has opened a private kindergarten named “Strausiatko” in Haisyn, Vinnytsia oblast. The project was implemented using grant funding from Ukrainian Veteran Fund.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, in Cherkasy oblast, air defence forces destroyed two russian UAVs overnight.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that a residential building is on fire following a russian strike on Zaporizhzhia. Nearby houses were damaged by the blast wave and debris.

According to Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, a 62-year-old man and two women aged 26 and 50 were killed. A 57-year-old man and two other people were injured as a result of the attack on Vilniansk. The russian army struck the private residential sector of Vilniansk by UAVs. Houses were destroyed and fires broke out.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, informed that a 67-year-old man was injured as a result of a russian attack on Zaporizhzhia region. The russian army carried out two UAV strikes on Sofiivka. Both hits targeted a private household. A house was destroyed, nearby structures and a vehicle were damaged, and a fire broke out.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that over the past day, 28 January, the Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled 14 russian attacks towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv.

According to Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, over the same period, 28 January, the russian army carried out more than 840 strikes on 34 cities and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. In particular, russian forces conducted 23 air strikes on Kushuhum, Tersianka, Dolynka, Huliaipilske, Ternuvate, Barvinivka, Zaliznychne, Kopani, Verkhna Tersa, Vozdvyzhivka, and Charivne. As a result of russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia region, three people were killed and 16 others were injured.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that over the course of 28 January, russian forces carried out 11 FPV drone attacks on Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. As a result, a private house and an outbuilding were damaged in Dniprovske village. No injuries were reported. In Pervomaisk area, a garage was damaged by debris from a downed drone.

According to the Regional Military Administration, during the night, four Shahed-type UAVs and decoy drones of various types were shot down or suppressed in the oblast.

Odesa oblast

Serhii Lysak, Head of the City Military Administration, reported that during the night, russia attacked Odesa by strike UAVs. An infrastructure facility was damaged. An elderly man was killed; he lived in a building that was destroyed on Prokhorovska Street.

Kherson oblast

The Regional Military Administration reported that today, a 59-year-old man was killed as a result of enemy shelling of Mykilske village.

The Regional Military Administration informed that at around 1:40pm, the occupiers attacked the settlement by a drone, fatally injuring a 39-year-old woman.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that at around 12:00pm, russian forces once again shelled Korabelnyi district of Kherson. A 46-year-old man sustained injuries incompatible with life as a result of the attack.

According to the Regional Military Administration, at around 11:30am, russian forces attacked a woman by a UAV in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. As a result of an explosive device dropped from the drone, a 74-year-old woman sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the head, legs, and chest. A 51-year-old man was diagnosed with shrapnel wounds to the leg and back.

 The Regional Military Administration reported that at noon, russian military personnel attacked the Korabelnyi district of Kherson. A 50-year-old man was injured in the shelling and preliminarily sustained blast injuries. He was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

The Regional Military Administration informed that a man sought medical assistance after being injured the previous day at noon during russian shelling of Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. A 65-year-old man was diagnosed with blast injuries and a closed fracture of the femur.

According to the Regional Military Administration, in the morning, russian occupiers attacked a civilian vehicle by a drone on a highway in Mylove community. As a result of the strike, a 70-year-old man sustained blast injuries and burns to the head and hands.

The Regional Military Administration reported that over the past day, one person was killed and seven others were injured as a result of russian aggression, including one child. russian forces struck critical and social infrastructure as well as residential areas of settlements across the oblast, damaging five apartment buildings and 13 private houses. The occupiers also damaged a theatre building, a warehouse facility, and private vehicles.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Dubechna Village Council concluded a memorandum of cooperation with Volyn Regional Sanatorium Forest Song. The purpose of signing the memorandum is to expand opportunities for community residents to receive sanatorium and resort services, improve the health conditions of children, military personnel and their families, veterans and other categories of the population who require special attention.

Zakarpattia oblast

The oblast is strengthening cooperation with the Japanese agency JICA. Rostyslav Pritsak, Deputy Head of the oblast, together with Sota Matsumoto, JICA representative, discussed potential joint projects aimed at supporting internally displaced persons. 123 000 IDPs are officially registered in the region, but due to constant enemy attacks, the evacuation of the population is ongoing.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The updated Center for Rehabilitation Medicine and Rehabilitation Treatment for Children was opened at the IF ODKL IF OR KNP. The total cost of the project is UAH 18.5m. This was made possible thanks to the support of the MoveUkraine CF.

Lviv oblast

In Lviv, the RMA met with families of soldiers of the 3002nd Military Unit of the National Guard. They discussed the search for missing persons and the return of prisoners.

The RMA held a meeting with Major Volodymyr Fokin, Commander of the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade. Needs of the military and the results of their work were discussed.

Rivne oblast

20 craftsmen from Rivne oblast are currently working in the capital. Welders, locksmiths, other specialists from Rivneteploenerho, Sarniteploservice enterprises, as well as volunteers are involved in the work to restore heat to the homes of Kyiv residents. In addition, representatives of the State Emergency Service of Rivne oblast went to Kyiv. These are rescuers and psychologists. They deployed 2 tents equipped with generators and heat guns. Indestructibility Points operate on their basis.

Ternopil oblast

2 defenders from Ternopil will receive their own housing. Ternopil community will help them with the first installments under the eOselia program – it will compensate for the amount of the 1st payment on a mortgage loan. In total, UAH 778,230 will be allocated for the two defenders. Since the beginning of the program, 29 warriors from the community have already taken advantage of this assistance and purchased housing.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In Khmelnytskyi oblast, an inspection of Invincibility Points is underway. A special working group inspected 124 points in 59 communities of Khmelnytskyi, Kamianets-Podilskyi and Shepetivskyi region. During the inspection, the key attention was paid to the availability of alternative power sources, fuel reserves, heat, water, places for recreation, access to the Internet, and conditions for people with disabilities and citizens with limited mobility. Based on the results of the audit, practical recommendations were provided to the leadership of territorial communities and district military administrations on improving conditions in Invincibility Points so that they would be fully prepared to help people if necessary.

An online roundtable was held in Bukovina as part of The Power of Caring: Strengthening Specialists to Support Veterans project. The event became a platform for open dialogue between the veteran community, the public sector and state institutions.

Ukraine has received the first batch of energy aid from Italy. In addition to the 1st 78 boilers, another 300 units will be delivered in the coming weeks.

Germany has increased emergency energy assistance to Ukraine this winter to EUR 120m. Berlin has sent to the Ukrainian capital 2 of 43 cogeneration plants that will provide heat and light to 86,000 Kyiv residents.

Marco Rubio, US Secretary of State, announced that the country will not participate in a new round of peace talks in Ukraine. The meeting will be bilateral.
