War in Ukraine today: latest news, 29 June 2026 (photo)

It has been the 1587  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have launched 63 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, the settlements of Korenok, Rohizne, Volfyne, and Budky in the Sumy region came under fire.

In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, four combat engagements with the enemy have taken place, and all four are still ongoing. At the same time, Russian forces carried out 31 artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, the occupiers attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses seven times. Five attacks were repelled near Lyman, Starytsia, Okhrimivka, Synelnykove, Vovchanski Khutory, and toward Sheviakivka and Khatnie. Two engagements are still underway.

In the Kupiansk, Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivsk, and Prydniprovskyi directions, no enemy attempts to advance were recorded.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three Russian attempts to advance near Novoselivka, Drobysheve, and Lyman. One engagement is ongoing.

In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 14 enemy attacks near Zakitne and toward Kryva Luka, Riznykivka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks near Ivanopillia and toward Kostiantynivka and Mykolaipillia. One attack is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces have attempted 18 times since the beginning of the day to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions near Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Serhiivka, Udachne, Sofiivka, and toward Vilne, Hannivka, Shevchenko, Bilytske, Biliakivka, and Novopavlivka. One engagement remains in progress.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 12 enemy attacks near Charivne, Pryvilne, Huliaipilske, and toward Rivne, Verkhnia Tersa, Tsvitkove, and Novoselivka. Three engagements are ongoing.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy launched one assault on Ukrainian positions near Bilohiria.

No significant changes have been recorded in other sectors, and no additional enemy attempts to advance have been observed.

Ukrainian forces continue to wear down Russian troops along the entire frontline and deep in the enemy’s rear.

Strategic Strikes

The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck three key bridges in the Russian-occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The targets included a road bridge near Novoazovsk in the Donetsk region and two railway bridges in the Luhansk region. These bridges are used by Russian forces to transport personnel, weapons, ammunition, and logistical supplies.

 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Over the past 24 hours, 249 combat engagements were recorded.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units eight times in Starytsia and in the direction of Izbytske, Karaichne and Vilcha.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy launched six attacks in the direction of Podoliv and Novoplatonivka.

As of 4pm, russian troops had attempted to attack seven times towards Southern Sloboda in the areas of Lyman, Starytsia, Okhrymivka, Synelnykove, Vovchanski Khutory and in the direction of Sheviakivka and Khatne. Two engagements were ongoing. No attacks were recorded towards Kupiansk.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, informed that a nine-year-old girl suffered bruises, whilst a 10-year-old girl experienced an acute stress reaction following a russian strike on Taranivka in Zmiiv community.

A 23-year-old woman was killed as a result of a guided aerial bomb strike on Kharkiv. A further 12 people sustained injuries or suffered acute stress reactions. One of the victims is in a critical condition. A second air-dropped bomb, which struck Kholodnohirskyi district, failed to detonate. It fell onto the grounds of a private residence, and the owner sustained injuries from broken glass.

The russian army also launched a missile strike on Berestyn. A 72-year-old woman was injured.

At around 3:30pm, russian troops dropped aerial bombs on Malodanylivka community. One munition damaged a residential building, whilst another fell near a critical infrastructure facility, causing a fire in the surrounding area.

On the morning of 29 June, an FPV drone on a fibre-optic cable attacked a civilian vehicle between Borova and Horokhovatka. A father and son were killed, 87-year-old Viktor Myronenko and 58-year-old Serhii Myronenko.

Three more people were injured as a result of an FPV drone strike on a civilian vehicle in Stara Saltivka community. Two 69-year-old women and a 72-year-old man were injured.

A russian Molniya drone struck a lorry near Kupievakha. Due to the threat of further strikes, rescue workers were unable to reach the scene promptly.

On the night of 29 June, the russian army struck a garage cooperative in Izium with a guided aerial bomb. Three cars and 11 garages were destroyed, whilst a further three cars, 30 garages and six residential buildings were damaged. There were no casualties.

Over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 24 settlements in Kharkiv oblast have come under enemy attack.

Two people were killed and a further 26 were injured as a result of the shelling, including two children.

In Zadonetske, Zmiiv community, a 55-year-old woman was killed, and six adults, a 16-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl were injured. In Hubarivka, Bohodukhiv community, seven people were injured. Injuries were also reported in Kyrylivka, Stara Saltivka community, Kharkiv, Valky, Travneve, and as a result of an unknown device exploding on the Zolochiv–Martynivka highway.

Russian forces attacked Kyivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts of Kharkiv with drones.

The enemy deployed the following inKharkiv oblast:

  • 1 multiple launch rocket system (MLRS);
  • 9 guided aerial bombs;
  • 19 Geran-2 type UAVs;
  • 13 Molniya type UAVs;
  • 3 FPV drones;
  • 35 UAVs, the type of which is being determined.

Civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv, as well as in Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Kharkiv, Lozova and Chuhuiv regions, has been damaged or destroyed, including residential buildings, petrol stations, warehouses, vehicles, power grids and civilian enterprises.

Over the week from 22 to 28 June, nine people were killed as a result of russian attacks in Kharkiv oblast. Among them was police officer Roman Komarov, who was involved in the evacuation of civilians.

The transit evacuation centre in Lozova received 66 people over the past 24 hours.

Since the centre began operating, 42,873 people have been registered there.

 

Donetsk oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops have increased the number of assaults towards Sloviansk to 28. The previous day, the russian army launched 22 attacks. Fighting took place in the direction of Zakitne, Kalenyky, Riznykivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka.

Towards Pokrovsk, the Defence Forces repelled 33 assaults, with a further 21 attacks repelled in the Lyman sector.

In the area of responsibility of the 152nd Separate Jaeger Brigade, near Udachne and Kotlyne, russian troops have intensified their offensive and are attempting to advance towards Serhiivka. According to the brigade’s spokeswoman, Kateryna Myronchuk, the occupiers are increasingly abandoning the tactic of “infiltration” by small groups and switching to frontal assaults, whilst simultaneously stepping up the use of drones, artillery and guided aerial bombs.

Towards Kostiantynivka, russian forces continue to launch assaults in small groups, gathering in cellars and ruins, but are unable to gain a foothold. According to Vadym “Zenit”, an officer with the “Phoenix” UAV unit, the russians have also altered their use of armoured vehicles, deploying them primarily as “mobile artillery” or transport for infantry; however, the Ukrainian military is destroying them before they even reach their targets.

The General Staff reported that Ukrainian defence forces struck a road bridge near Novoazovsk, two railway bridges in Luhansk oblast, a logistics depot in the Novosvitlivka area, a UAV command post near Bakhmut, and a command post of a russian electronic warfare unit in Velyka Novosilka.

During the night, russian troops dropped four guided aerial bombs on Druzhkivka. A fire and rescue unit was hit and the building sustained significant damage and equipment was damaged. According to the State Emergency Service, there were no casualties.

Since the evening of 28 June, russian troops have been continuously shelling Sloviansk. The city was initially attacked by drones, and at around 4am, by a FAB-250 aerial bomb. A woman who was in her vegetable garden sustained critical injuries. Drones also attacked Kramatorsk during the night, damaging an educational establishment, and Bilenke, where a private house was damaged.

On 28 June, the police recorded 916 russian strikes along the front line and in residential areas of Donetsk oblast.

9 settlements were under attack: Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Donetsk, Novodonetsk, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Kopani, Maiaky and Pryvillia.

16 civilian structures were damaged, including five residential buildings.

In Mayaky, a girl born in 2013 was injured as a result of an attack by an FPV drone.

In Druzhkivka, the russians dropped eight KAB-250 aerial bombs. Four civilians were injured, and two private homes, an educational institution, an administrative building and a State Emergency Service vehicle were damaged.

One person was injured in Sloviansk.

In Kopani, one person was injured as a result of an attack by an FPV drone.

In Kramatorsk, two drones damaged a municipal utility building and a petrol station. In Donetsk, a municipal utility building was damaged.

In Novodonetsk, two private homes were damaged.

Russian forces struck Pryvillia with three KAB-250 aerial bombs, damaging a private home, a production workshop and a civilian vehicle.

Luhansk oblast

Yesterday russian troops launched 21 attacks towards Lyman, attempting to breach Ukrainian defences near seven settlements. In Luhansk oblast, the occupiers used automatic grenade launchers six times, mortars four times and rocket artillery twice. They also carried out 32 drone strikes and launched attacks using four FPV drones.

In most towns of the so-called “lpr”, the warning system is not working, particularly in Khrustalne and Kadiivka, which have been under occupation for 12 years. Despite the absence of hostilities in these towns, the occupying authorities have failed to ensure the proper functioning of critical infrastructure.

The situation regarding housing and communal services is also deteriorating in the occupied Luhansk region. According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, people in villages and settlements near Rubizhne have been without electricity for weeks, whilst the occupying authorities are not carrying out repair work or providing any information on when services will be restored.

 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the State Agency of Ukraine for the Management of the Exclusion Zone, efforts are continuing in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone to extinguish forest fires caused by falling debris from Russian drones. As of 29 June, the fire at one of the nature conservation research stations had been completely extinguished. In other areas, work is continuing to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading. Radiation levels are within normal limits.

Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, announced the signing of new memoranda and agreements on reconstruction projects following the delegation’s participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdańsk. In particular, two agreements were signed with the UNHCR regarding the creation of housing estates for internally displaced persons in the Tomashivska and Stavyshchenska communities. Discussions with the Head of the UNICEF Office in Ukraine, Anne-Claire Dufay, centred on the installation of solar power stations and energy storage systems at water supply facilities, backup generators for water utilities, and mobile water treatment plants.

In Kyiv oblast, registration has begun for the annual patriotic run ‘I Honour the Soldiers, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine’, which will take place on 29 August in Bila Tserkva. A special tradition of the run is for participants to wear a T-shirt bearing the name of a Hero in whose honour they will complete the course..

Zhytomyr oblast

According to Vitaliy Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, Inga Stanite-Tolochkene, Lithuania’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine, recently paid her first official visit to Zhytomyr. During the meeting, they discussed cooperation in the field of renewable energy. Particular attention was paid to the restoration of educational infrastructure. Lithuania plans to assist in the reconstruction of Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 25, which was destroyed by the russians. According to the Zhytomyr City Council, the reopening of the rebuilt school is scheduled for 1 September 2028.

Sumy oblast

Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Centre for Countering Disinformation, rejected Vladimir Putin’s claim that russian forces are approximately 10.5 kilometres from Sumy. According to Kovalenko, russian troops are more than 20 kilometres from the city. The Kursk Group of Forces also stated that russian troops are not conducting large-scale assaults in this sector.

The Regional Military Administration reported that seven civilians were injured in enemy attacks in Shostka region on 29 June. Civilian infrastructure in Hlukhiv and Seredyna-Buda communities came under attack by russian UAVs. A 52-year-old man from Seredyna-Buda sustained serious injuries after an enemy drone struck his yard. Two injured women from Hlukhiv community also remain in hospital.

Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that at around 8:30am. on 29 June, a russian UAV struck a filling station in Hlukhiv. A 34-year-old woman was injured and hospitalised.

According to JSC Sumyoblenergo, a significant increase in power outages across parts of Sumy oblast due to russia’s armed aggression. Sumyvodokanal also warned that repair work on the power grid on 29 June could cause disruptions to water supply in Sumy.

The Regional Military Administration reported that an elderly woman from Seredyna-Buda community died as a result of a russian attack on 28 June. The enemy attacked the border town throughout the day. During one of the strikes, the woman was in her vegetable garden and sustained severe injuries. Although medics responded promptly and provided emergency care, she died in the ambulance.

Andrii Bieliaiev, Head of Shostka regional Military Administration, said that a combined russian attack on Seredyna-Buda during the day on 28 June killed a 69-year-old woman and injured three others. The injured were women aged 62 and 57, and a 48-year-old man. Sumy branch of Gazmerezhi reported that the shelling left the town of Seredyna-Buda without gas supply.

The State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast informed that on the evening of 28 June, the enemy attacked Bilopillia town. An outbuilding caught fire after the strike. Firefighters extinguished all fires. No casualties were reported.

From the morning of 28 June to the morning of 29 June, russian forces carried out nearly 90 attacks on 26 settlements across 19 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka region. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 23 hours and 48 minutes during the reporting period.

According to the Regional Military Administration, as of the morning of 29 June, two people had been killed and nine others injured in enemy attacks across Sumy oblast over the previous 24 hours. Damage to private homes, vehicles and civilian infrastructure facilities was also recorded:

▪️ In Seredyna-Buda community, a 69-year-old woman died in an ambulance from injuries sustained during enemy shelling. A 62-year-old woman, a 57-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man were also injured. Civilian infrastructure facilities and residential houses were damaged;

▪️ In Velyka Pysarivka community, a 77-year-old man was killed in an enemy drone strike. Non-residential premises, a civilian infrastructure facility and a passenger vehicle were damaged;

▪️ In Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community, a 65-year-old man was injured when an enemy drone struck a vehicle. A civilian infrastructure facility and a passenger vehicle were damaged;

▪️ In Sumy community, a 48-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man were injured in an enemy UAV strike. A 24-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman, who had been injured in enemy UAV strikes on 27 June, also sought medical assistance. A civilian infrastructure facility, a non-residential premises, a vehicle and an outbuilding were damaged;

▪️ In Vorozhba community, private residential houses were damaged. A 59-year-old man, who had been injured in a guided aerial bomb strike on the community on 27 June, also sought medical assistance;

▪️ In Bilopollia community, a private residential house and an outbuilding were damaged;

▪️ In Buryn community, private residential houses, an outbuilding, a civilian infrastructure facility and a vehicle were damaged;

▪️ In Krasnopillia community, a civilian infrastructure facility and a private residential house were damaged;

▪️ In Putyvl community, a non-residential premises and vehicles were damaged;

▪️ In Yampil community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;

▪️ In Znob-Novhorodskyi community, a private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Richky community, an apartment building was damaged;

▪️ In Hlukhiv community, an apartment building and a private residential house were damaged.

The State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast reported that demining operations are ongoing across the region. During the past week, pyrotechnic specialists destroyed 95 items of unexploded ordnance. The hazardous objects were found in Sumy, Konotop, Romny, Okhtyrka and Shostka regions. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 1,146 explosive objects have been discovered.

Chernihiv oblast

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that Ukrainian defenders destroyed around 200 enemy strike UAVs over Chernihiv oblast during the past week. During the large-scale, targeted attack on Chernihiv on 27 June alone, air defence units shot down more than 30 UAVs over the oblast.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that at 2:24pm. on 29 June, the enemy struck a civilian facility in Novhorod-Siverskyi by a Molniya UAV. A woman born in 1942 was injured in the attack.

Oleksandr Seliverstov also informed that two civilian men, born in 1970 and 1975, were injured in russian drone strikes on Pecheniuhy village, Novhorod-Siverskyi community, on 29 June. Two enemy UAVs struck the village at around 12:20pm. A civilian infrastructure facility was damaged, and a fire broke out at the impact site.

On 29 June, russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure in the towns of Semenivka and Novhorod-Siverskyi by drones. A Molniya UAV struck Semenivka, while the type of drone used in the morning attack on Novhorod-Siverskyi is being established.

According to the National Police, on the evening of 28 June, the explosion of a russian UAV in Novhorod-Siverskyi damaged two private residential houses and a lorry. No injuries were reported.

Pavlo Miroshnychenko, Head of Koriukivka Regional Military Administration, reported that on 27 and 28 June, russians attacked Koriukivka, Mena and Snovsk communities in Chernihiv oblast. A shop, power lines and buildings were damaged. A drone strike near a shop in Koriukivka damaged the building. In Voloskivtsi, a fallen UAV severed a power line. Buildings in Blystova were also damaged in the drone attacks.

Viacheslav Chaus said that during the day on 28 June, the enemy struck an enterprise in Koriukivka by a Heran UAV. In Novhorod-Siverskyi, a 34-year-old filling station employee sustained shrapnel injuries after a Molniya UAV struck a filling station. In the evening, a Herbera UAV strike damaged private residential houses and a lorry.

Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that on 28 June, russian forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar attacks (5 explosions), artillery strikes (17 explosions), FPV drone attacks (9 explosions), Molniya UAV strikes (2 explosions), one Shahed UAV strike, and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (6 explosions). Eight settlements came under enemy fire.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Nikopol region. The russian forces attacked the regional centre, Myrove, Pokrovske rural, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities by drones and artillery. 

A private house was damaged.

Kamianske region. A UAV attack in Piatykhatky caused a fire. A building, a vehicle and infrastructure were damaged.

Dnipro. A russian missile strike on Dnipro killed 6 people and injured 29. A private enterprise, an educational institution, 2 summer houses, 2 vehicles and a garage were damaged.

Nikopol region. 6 people were injured in Nikopol. The russian forces attacked Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets, Pokrovske rural and Tomakivka communities by drones. Fires broke out. 1 apartment building, 4 private houses, a greenhouse, 2 shops, a kiosk, 2 gas stations, 2 fire engines, 8 vehicles, an enterprise, a gas pipeline and infrastructure were damaged.

Synelnykove region. A UAV attack damaged infrastructure in Petropavlivka community.

Kamianske region. The russian forces attacked Piatykhatky and Krynychky communities by UAVs. 2 people were injured. Field fires broke out. A kindergarten, an administrative building, an arts school and an outbuilding were damaged.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, stated that in the evening, russian forces struck the regional centre, targeting an enterprise. The attack caused a fire. Rescue teams worked throughout the night and successfully extinguished the blaze. There were no casualties or fatalities reported.

2 defenders from Kirovohrad oblast returned from russian captivity. They are Mykola Maletskyi from Brusivka village in Kropyvnytskyi region and Ivan Kalinichenko from Velyka Andrusivka village in Oleksandriia region.

Mykola Maletskyi was captured during fighting near Izium city in Kharkiv oblast. His family had been informed that he was being held at Detention Centre No. 2 in kursk oblast, russia.

Ivan Kalinichenko defended Mariupol with his comrades from the first days of the full-scale invasion and was taken prisoner on 12 April 2022. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation.

 

Two communities in Kirovohrad oblast held memorial ceremonies for fallen servicemen: Pavlo Borysov from Oleksandriia city and Andrii Sitnichenko from Bohdanivka village in Kropyvnytskyi region.

Pavlo Borysov was killed on 1 October 2025, while carrying out a combat mission near Oleksiivka village in Sumy oblast. His death has now been officially confirmed.

Andrii Sitnichenko was killed on 18 June while carrying out a combat mission in Yuriivka village, Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast.

Poltava oblast

Vitalii Diakivnych, Head of the RMA, reported that on the night of 28–29 June, a russian UAV attacked a gas station in Poltava oblast. 1 person was injured.

A UAV crashed on the grounds of an enterprise in Myrhorod region. There were no injuries reported. Partial power outages were recorded in Hadiach community.

A memorial ceremony will be held in Kremenchuk for serviceman Vladyslav Vashchenko. He was killed on 24 August 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near Toretsk city in Bakhmut region, Donetsk iblast.

During the first half of 2026, the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Central Region completed 40 assessments of environmental damage caused by russian strikes on industrial facilities in the oblast. According to specialists, the total estimated damage amounts to UAH 2,590,305,903. The damage was caused by fires following the attacks, resulting in air and soil pollution and land contamination.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, reported that air defence forces shot down 1 UAV over Cherkasy oblast. No damage to infrastructure was recorded.

 

A defender from Smila was killed as a result of a drone strike in Dnipropetrovsk oblast on 22 June 2026.

A memorial ceremony will be held in Uman for fallen soldier Oleksandr Boiko. He was killed on 9 February 2024, near Ivanivske settlement in Bakhmut region, Donetsk oblast.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that on 29 June, russian forces attacked a shuttle bus in Zaporizhzhia. Three people were killed, and eight others were injured, including one child.

Later, russian forces launched another UAV attack on Zaporizhzhia. According to Ivan Fedorov, the drone struck a civilian vehicle. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties.

During the night of 29 June, russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs (KABs). As a result of the strike, three people were injured. Private homes were damaged.

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 28 June, four people were killed and 28 were injured as a result of russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia and Polohy region. Over the past 24 hours, russian forces launched 973 strikes on 45 settlements across Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian troops carried out 29 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterynivka, Kushuhum, Balabyne, Tavriiske, Zapasne, Yurkivka, Shevchenkove, Danylivka, Liubytske, Novosoloshyne, Liubymivka, Orikhiv, Omelnyk, Mykilske, Chervonyi Yar, Novoselivka, Chervona Krynytsia, and Preobrazhenka. 737 UAVs of various types, primarily FPV drones, attacked Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterynivka, Kushuhum, Komyshuvakha, Richne, Novoiakovlivka, Novotavriiske, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Preobrazhenka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Charivne, Novoselivka, Huliaipilske, Verkhnia Tersa, Staroukrainka, Vozdvyzhivka, Hirske, Tsvitkove, Dobropillia, and Rybne. Six MLRS strikes targeted Zapasne, Novoselivka, Charivne, and Huliaipilske. Another 201 artillery strikes hit Richne, Novoiakovlivka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Verkhnia Tersa, Staroukrainka, Vozdvyzhivka, Hirske, Tsvitkove, Dobropillia, and Rybne. Authorities received 249 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 16:00 on 29 June, Ukraine’s Defense Forces successfully repelled 12 enemy attacks towards Huliaipole near Charivne, Pryvilne, Huliaipilske, Rivne, Verkhnia Tersa, Tsvitkove, and Novoselivka. Three engagements were still ongoing. The enemy launched one assault on Ukrainian defensive positions near Bilohiria towards Orikhiv. During the previous day, 28 June, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 30 russian attacks towards Huliaipole.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that on 28 June, the enemy attacked the region with Shahed-type UAVs. As a result, two fires broke out in dry grass and wheat fields in Mykolaiv and Voznesensk regions. There were no casualties.

Yesterday and during the night of 29 June, the enemy attacked Halytsynove community with Molniya-type strike drones. As a result of the attack, a private house was damaged in the village of Ukrainka.

The enemy also attacked Ochakiv community with an FPV drone and, preliminarily, carried out a strike using guided aerial bombs (KABs). In addition, russian forces launched an artillery strike on Kutsurub community. There were no casualties.

Odesa oblast

A memorial plaque honoring fallen serviceman Dmytro Pohoda, known by the call sign “Kozak,” was unveiled at one of the schools in Odesa. The defender was a historian, teacher, and veteran of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). After the start of russia’s full-scale invasion, he voluntarily returned to military service despite not being subject to mobilization. For his service, he was awarded the distinctions “For the Defense of the Native State,” the “Golden Cross,” “For Combat Merit,” and the second-class “For Assistance to the Military Intelligence of Ukraine.”

Kherson oblast

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on the morning of 29 June, russian forces shelled Korabelnyi district of Kherson. As a result of the attack, a 43-year-old woman was injured. She was diagnosed with a blast injury, a concussion, and an acute stress reaction.

At approximately 11:00, russian forces attacked the central part of Kherson with a drone. A 47-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman came under the strike. Both sustained concussions, blast injuries, and acute stress reactions.

At around 10:30, russian forces attacked an ambulance with a drone in Dariivka. The vehicle sustained extensive damage, including a shattered side window, shrapnel damage to the body and doors, a damaged wheel, and other damage.

Two women sought medical assistance after being injured in russian attacks on Komyshany. A 63-year-old healthcare worker came under enemy shelling the previous day, while a 50-year-old utility worker was injured during shelling on the morning of 27 June. Both were diagnosed with blast injuries and concussions.

The Police of Kherson oblast reported that on 28 June, the russian forces attacked Kherson, Bilozerka, Antonivka, Stanislav, Komyshany, Mykilske, Oleksandrivka, Tomyna Balka, Chereshenky, Sofiivka, Sadove, Dariivka, Zorivka, Rozlyv, Doslidne, Fedorivka, Veletenske, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Novodmytrivka, Prydniprovske, Shyroka Balka, Yantarne, Tokarivka, Inhulets, Chaichyne, Poniativka, Beryslav, Urozhaine, Tarasa Shevchenka, Borozenske, Krasnosilske, Charivne, Nova Kuban, Novovoskresenske, Petropavlivka, Shevchenkivka, Kozatske, and Vesele. The attacks damaged eight apartment buildings, 15 private houses, a factory building, a solar power plant, a store, a house of prayer, commercial equipment, a warehouse, two vehicles, a tractor, and a gas pipeline. Five people were injured as a result of the russian attacks.

A diesel fuel shortage is worsening in the temporarily occupied left-bank part of Kherson oblast. The occupying authorities may face difficulties during the harvest season and significant crop losses due to supply disruptions and a sharp rise in prices. According to the Center for National Resistance, following Ukrainian drone strikes on russian oil refineries and fuel infrastructure, the occupation authorities experienced interruptions in fuel deliveries to temporarily occupied territories. The situation was further aggravated by corruption schemes and price speculation, which significantly increased diesel fuel costs.

Ternopil has taken another step towards energy independence and modern development. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding with an international consortium consisting of Wilms Industries, Solaryna and Nowak-Solar.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

During the week, 24 internally displaced persons from Donetsk and Kherson oblasts arrived in Khmelnytskyi oblast by evacuation trains. 20 people were accommodated in the oblast.

Chernivtsi oblast

Employees of structural units and municipal enterprises of Chernivtsi City Council raised and sent humanitarian aid (shampoos, soap, toothpastes and brushes, napkins, and laundry detergents worth about UAH 100,000) to Kupiansk community.

As part of the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2026), international partners announced the mobilization of over EUR 550m in support to prepare the Ukrainian energy sector for the next heating season.
