It has been the 1007th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

The total number of combat engagements along the entire frontline has increased to 143. The occupiers continue to use aviation, in particular, drones, and carry out attacks in almost all directions of the east and south of our country, especially towards Pokrovsk and Kurakhove. The defence forces are holding their lines and taking the necessary measures to prevent a breakthrough in the defence.

The occupiers do not stop using artillery and aircraft on the territory of Ukraine. Volfyne, Prohres, Yastrubshchyna, Popivka, Novovasylivka, Basivka, Riasne, Khodyne in Sumy oblast; Timonovychi, Polissia, Huta-Studenetska in Chernihiv oblast were shelled by the enemy. According to the available information, the enemy conducted one air strike on the territory of Kursk oblast using one anti-aircraft missile.

Towards Kharkiv, four combat engagements took place in the area of Vovchansk.

Twelve attacking actions of the invaders were repelled by our troops near Hryhorivka, Zelenyi Hai, Zahryzove, Senkove and Andriivka towards Kupiansk, three combat engagements are still ongoing.

Towards Lyman, the enemy, supported by aviation, is attacking in the areas of Hrekivka, Druzhkivka, Cherneshchyna, Makiivka, Terny and Torske. Since the beginning of the day, there have been 17 combat engagements in this sector, seven of which are still ongoing.

Towards Siversk, the invaders attacked in the area of Hryhorivka, and the fighting is still ongoing.

Towards Toretsk, the enemy attacked Ukrainian troops’ positions three times near Dyliivka and Toretsk.

Towards Pokrovsk, fierce fighting is taking place in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Krasnyi Yar, Lysivka, Chumatske, Pustynka and Novyi Trud. So far, the enemy has made 31 attempts to push our defenders from their positions, 25 attacks have already been repelled by our defenders. The occupants dropped two aerial bombs in the areas of Zelene Pole and Pokrovsk.

Towards Kurakhove, 12 firefights continue in the areas of Berestki, Sontsivka, Novodmitrivka, Kurakhove, Dalne, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Hanivka and Antonivka. Twenty-three enemy attacks have already been repelled by our defenders.

In the areas of Veselyi Hai, Trudove, Kostiantynopolske, Razdolnoye, Novoandriivka and Rivnopil towards Vremivka, our defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks, and one firefight is ongoing.

Towards Huliaipole, the enemy did not conduct any active operations.

Towards Orikhiv, the invaders actively used aircraft in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Temyrivka and Pavlivka, dropping a total of ten guided aerial bombs.

Towards Kherson, our defenders repelled two enemy attacks.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that russians shot five prisoners of war towards Pokrovsk. The enemy stormed Ukrainian positions near Petrivka village in Donetsk oblast and took five Ukrainian defenders prisoner. They were forced to leave the shelter unarmed and lie on the ground, after which they were shot with automatic weapons.

The Ukrainian intelligence reported that the approach of winter frosts complicates the carefree life of numerous cats and kittens living on Zmiinyi Island. Therefore, the soldiers of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine’s “Tymur Special Forces” who were patrolling the island decided to do an important thing – evacuate 15 animals from the island to the ‘big land. The four-legged animals were brought to Sirius animal shelters, where, after adaptation, everyone will be able to take in and take custody of one of them.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, reported that Kupiansk axis remains the most difficult. A subversive reconnaissance group attempted to enter from the north of Kupiansk, bypassing our defence forces.

Fighting is currently ongoing there. In Kopanky, the area of active hostilities is expanding. Russia is trying to test the defence in different directions. The subversive reconnaissance group is coming from different directions. Such attempts are constantly taking place in Derhachi, Zolochiv, Kharkiv, Lyptsi, Vovchansk.

Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of the Derhachi CMA, informed that there have been no cases of russian subversive reconnaissance groups entering villages of the community where people live.

In the afternoon, the russians struck Slatyne twice, hitting a field near the houses. There were no casualties.

At 1:05am, Dokuchaiev village was under russian attack and fragments of a downed Shahed UAV were found in an open field.

Yesterday the occupiers used 19 guided aerial bombs, 11 drones, 7 of which were shot down by air defence forces, and 1 S-400 against unarmed residents of Kharkiv oblast.

The press service of the regional administration reported that seven people wounded in the russian strike on Kharkiv remain in hospital. Two people are in the neurosurgery department, five in the surgical department. A total of 26 people were injured in the shelling of the city centre on 25 November.

At 7:08pm, Kotliary village was under russian attack. A building of a tyre service station was destroyed by a strike from an enemy UAV.

At 3:20pm, Slatyne was hit. Three private households were damaged.

At 10:10am, Velykyi Burluk village wwas targeted. A UAV hit the building of an educational institution and 1 UAV hit an open area outside the settlement. The shelling damaged 4 residential buildings and 1 administrative building.

At 8:40am, Kupiansk was under attack.  A UAV hit near an educational institution. A 66-year-old man was injured and hospitalised.

At 8:34pm, Kyivskyi district of the city was attacked. More than 40 buildings and 5 cars were damaged as a result of S-400 shelling. 26 people were injured.

Towards Kharkiv, russian terrorists unsuccessfully stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops near Vovchansk, Kudiivka and Kozacha Lopan five times. They were actively using bombers and attack aircraft to carry out attacks in the area.

Towards Kupiansk, there were 23 attacks by the invaders. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Novomlynsk, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Synkivka, Lozova, Kruhliakivka and Zelenyi Hai.

As a result of increased evacuation measures, 51 people were evacuated from Kupiansk and Borova directions.

Donetsk oblast

Oleksandr Honcharenko, Head of Kramatorsk CMA, reported that on 26 November, russian troops shelled Kramatorsk, with one of the attacks taking place outside the city.

There were two attacks, the type of weapon is being established, probably guided aerial bombs. No information on injuries and deaths has been received so far.

Nazar Voloshyn, Spokesman of Khortytsia military unit, said that the russian army is trying to break through the Ukrainian defences towards Vremivka. The situation has been successfully managed. have managed to stabilise the situation. Our Defence Forces have knocked down the enemy’s offensive potential, and the number of firefights has decreased over the past day alone.

Also russian troops are trying to take fire control of Kurakhove and logistics routes in the area. Kurakhove is under the control of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. Yesterday towards Kurakhove, Ukrainian troops killed and wounded over 350 russian servicemen, destroyed two tanks, three motorcycles, a mortar launcher, several vehicles and damaged several cars and a motorcycle.

There are still 625 people in Kurakhove.

The General Staff reported that Ukrainian defence forces repelled 97 attacks towards Pokrovsk and Kurakhove.

Towards Pokrovsk, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped 51 russian attacks near Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Hryhorivka, Petrivka, Dachanske, Pushkine and Pustynka.

Ukrainian defence forces repelled 46 russian attacks towards Kurakhove. The russian army was most actively trying to advance near Sontsivka, Berestky, Zoria, Novodmytrivka, Dalne, Kurakhove, Uspenivka, Yelyzavetivka and Hannivka.

Serhii Tsehotskyi, an officer of the 59th separate mechanised brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk, said that the 59th Brigade eliminated 339 russian troops towards Pokrovsk over the last three days. Yesterday, in particular, the soldiers managed to eliminate 80 russian servicemen.

Yesterday police recorded 2,638 hostile attacks on the frontline and residential areas. The attacks hit 8 settlements: Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, Shevchenko, Dachne, Zoria, Malynivka, Popiv Yar villages. 62 civilian objects were damaged, including 53 residential buildings.

The russians dropped four guided aerial bombs on Dachne, killing a civilian and damaging 20 private houses.

The enemy struck the village of Zoria with a FAB-250 bomb, injuring a man and damaging three private houses.

In Sloviansk, the shelling damaged an administrative building, a utility room and a gas pipeline.

In Myrnohrad, a FAB-250 bomb damaged two apartment buildings and a shop.

The invaders attacked Popiv Yar in Kramatorsk region with a FAB-250 bomb – 16 private houses, a gas pipeline and a power line were damaged.

Pokrovsk was shelled three times by a drone and artillery, 7 private houses and 2 gas pipelines were damaged.

5 private houses were damaged in Shevchenko village and a business in Malynivka.

The Prosecutor General’s Office said that the russian military shot five Ukrainian prisoners of war towards Pokrovsk on 13 November 2024.

Luhansk oblast

The RMA reported that yesterday towards Lyman. the enemy struck by guided aerial bombs. They carried out artillery attacks and sent 25 unmanned aerial vehicles at the fortifications of our defenders.

The enemy conducted assault operations near Hrekivka and Novoiehorivka.

For three months now, the occupiers have been postponing the opening of a ‘”patriotic education centre” in Siverskodonetsk. It was planned to start propaganda activities for boys and girls on 1 September. However, the process of renovating the premises was delayed due to theft of funds.

At the exit from the city towards Luhansk, the invaders have again intensified vehicle checks. They carefully check the documents for the car and each passenger, search the luggage compartments.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The RMA reported that the enemy attacked Kyiv oblast with UAVs at night. The alert lasted over 7 hours. There were no civilian casualties. The fall of debris was recorded in 4 districts with 4 private houses, 2 residential high-rise buildings, a utility room, two garages, and a car being damaged. A power line was also damaged in one of the settlements.

KCMA stated that during the attack on the night of 26 November, the air alert in Kyiv lasted for more than 5 hours. The Defence Forces detected and destroyed more than a dozen russian UAVs.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, informed that as a result of russian aggression, more than 30,000 objects in Kyiv oblast have been damaged or destroyed. To date, more than 20,000 have been restored through joint efforts. The reconstruction continues thanks to the UNITED24 initiative, the FLN, the government’s yeVidnovnennia programme and a number of other regional programmes. The consequences of russia’s daily attacks are being promptly recorded; damaged facilities are being restored through the joint efforts of communities, foundations and charities.

In Bucha, another multi-storey building on Nove Shosse Street, which was damaged as a result of the russian invasion, has been restored. The funds for the overhaul were allocated from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

The Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko met with Munir Mammadzade, the UNICEF Representative in Ukraine. The parties discussed the possibility of involving the Children’s Fund in continuing the reconstruction of educational institutions in Kyiv oblast. According to the Regional Military Administration, 209 of the 247 damaged and destroyed educational institutions have been restored to date.

The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications reported that the exhibition “Drawing with my Heart”, which includes 20 unique paintings by wives and mothers of fallen Ukrainian heroes, was opened in Kyiv’s Zhovten cinema. The exhibition is a powerful tool for art therapy and psychological rehabilitation.

The DK Enerhetik band presented a video for a song dedicated to the power engineers who died during the full-scale invasion. The video was filmed in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. The band noted that the song “Enerhetik” was written in late autumn of 2022, during the first protracted blackouts, and was recorded in between.

Zhytomyr oblast

The RMA reported that the Government has allocated an additional subsidy from the state budget to four communities of Zhytomyr oblast in the amount of over UAH 7.6m. The subsidy will be used by local governments to exercise their powers in the de-occupied, temporarily occupied and other territories of Ukraine that have been negatively affected by the full-scale armed aggression of the russian federation.

The city council announced that 22 families of veterans in Zhytomyr community will receive financial compensation for the purchase of housing this week. The assistance will be directed to families of people with 1-2 groups of disability as a result of the war. The community received a state subvention of UAH 46m to meet this need.

The Regional Military Administration informed that on 29 November, as part of the Dialogue between Government and Business project, an online meeting will be held on the topic: Support for veterans: employment, business participation in supporting regional projects for veterans, identifying strategic areas for cooperation between business and veterans.

Sumy oblast

 Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that on 26 November, around 12:08pm, the russian army carried out an airstrike on Sumy. The hit caused a fire. The strike hit a parking area that also housed a car repair shop. Two apartment buildings, a vocational education facility, and 13 vehicles were also damaged. Emergency services, Red Cross representatives, and police are working at the site. The strike resulted in two fatalities, and a rescue operation is ongoing at the car repair shop. It is believed that one more person may still be trapped under the rubble.

Serhii Bespalko, Head of Velyka Pysarivka Military Administration, informed that on 26 November, around 12pm, the russian army attacked Velyka Pysarivka in Sumy oblast using an FPV-drone. A 51-year-old man was injured in the attack. He was taken to an ambulance and is currently under medical supervision in a healthcare facility

Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that in the evening of 25 November, a man was injured in Myropillia, Sumy oblast, due to a drone attack. The 45-year-old man was riding a moped when the russian army drone dropped an explosive on him. The resident sustained multiple shrapnel injuries to his face and limbs.

During night and morning, russians carried out 24 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 35 explosions. The attacks targeted Bezdryk, Verkhnia Syrovatka, Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropilia, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, and Shostka communities. 

On 25 November, russians carried out 80 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 258 explosions. The attacks targeted Khotin, Yunakivka, Mykolaivka, Myropilia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda, and Shostka communities.

City councils of Trostianets and Okhtyrka reported that in Trostianets and Okhtyrka, Sumy oblast , modular homes have been installed for residents whose housing was destroyed by russian attacks. Thanks to the charitable foundation ‘Rokada,’ three modular homes, each 36 square meters in size, have been installed in Trostianets. Another home, 60 sq m in size, is being funded by Dutch charitable foundation “Open Door Ukraine”. Additionally, three families in Okhtyrka who lost their homes due to russian attacks also received modular housing.

Chernihiv oblast

During the day russian army attacked two border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Semenivka, and  Snovsk communities. 14 explosions were recorded.

Semenivka community:

– 2 explosions (hits, probably by artillery) near Arkhipivka;

– 2 explosions (hits, probably by an 82mm mortar), near Halahanivka.

Snovsk community:

– 2 explosions (hits, probably by an FPV-drone), 5 explosions (hits, probably by a 120mm mortar) and 3 explosions (hits, probably by artillery) near Khrinivka.

No casualties or injuries among the local population were reported as a result of the shelling.

The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Chernihiv oblast informed that following russian shelling in Chernihiv oblast, sappers discovered and neutralized 20 explosive devices within a day. 

The Northern Forest Office reported that in the forest areas of Koliazhynske Forestry, part of Nizhyn branch of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”, 26 hectares of forest have been de-mined. The area had been inaccessible since 2022 due to the danger posed by remnants of russian munitions left during the occupation of Chernihiv oblast.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

From evening to morning, the enemy continued attacking Nikopol by kamikaze drone, Grad missiles and artillery. There were no casualties or injuries reported. Air defence systems were active in the evening.

Throughout the day, occupiers targeted Nikopol region by artillery, kamikaze drones and ammunition dropped from UAVs. The attacks struck the regional centre, Marhanets, Myrove, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrov communities. Damage included 21 private houses, 23 utility structures, gas pipelines, power lines, a vehicle and a greenhouse. There were no injuries reported.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​According to Mayor Serhii Morhunov, Vinnytsia oblast completed its 9th delivery of aid to fighters of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. This shipment included 250 FPV drones and 20 Mavic 3T drones.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, reported that air defence systems were active in Kirovohrad oblast, shooting down enemy UAVs. There were no casualties or damage reported.

A ceremony to honor the memory of 3 soldiers killed in the war was held at the Dalekoskhidne (Far Eastern) Cemetery in Kropyvnytskyi: Andrii Hrim, Serhii Fedorchenko and Andrii Birzul.

Andrii Hrim, 54, served as a Commander in Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Division. He was killed on 19 November near Udy village, Kharkiv oblast.

Serhii Fedorchenko, 45, was killed on 22 October near Novodanylivka village, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Andrii Birzul, 37, was killed on 15 November near Krasnyi Khutir village, Chernihiv oblast.

Poltava oblast

St. Uspensky (Dormition) Cathedral in Poltava paid tribute to 21-year-old soldier Danylo Hryshanov. He was reported missing in Avdiivka region since 8 November 2023. However, he was killed in action on the same day.

Pyriatyn community paid tribute to soldier Serhii Hordovskyi, who was killed on 19 February while performing a combat mission near Robotyne village, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Maryna Serova, spokesperson of Poltava City Council, stated that Poltava plans to allocate over UAH 5m to compensate those whose homes were damaged by russian shelling. This funding, part of Ukraine’s eVidnovlennia (eRecovery) program, will cover 17 claims, including 2 for destroyed properties. The funds will come from the state budget.

According to the RMA, healthcare facilities in Poltava oblast, which treat wounded soldiers, received 1,850 clothing items and over 40 tones of food supplies in 2024.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, reported that the oblast was under an air raid alert for more than 7 hours. During this time, air defence systems destroyed 8 Shahed drones. In Cherkasy oblast, vegetation caught fire on open ground due to a drone crash; the fire was quickly extinguished. Also, a shockwave caused minor damage to a truck parked on the roadside. There were no injuries reported.

Uman community paid tribute to soldier Vitalii Tkachenko, who was killed on 19 November while performing a combat mission in Donetsk oblast.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian forces carried out 10 airstrikes by guided aerial bombs (KAB) in Orikhiv axis. Areas near Mala Tokmachka, Temyrivka and Pavlivka were attacked by russian aviation.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, reported that the russian military attacked Prymorske of Vasylivka region by drones, hitting a car parked in a yard. The vehicle was destroyed by fire and a nearby house sustained blast damage. There were no injuries reported.

As reported by the General Staff, Ukrainian defence forces in Orikhiv axis repelled 2 russian assaults near Novoandriivka.

Fedorov said that on 25 November, a 74-year-old man was injured in Polohy region due to russian shelling.

The russian military launched 285 strikes on 12 towns and villages in the oblast on 25 November. These included attacks by 148 UAVs of various types on Lobkove, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Bilohiria, Novodarivka and Olhivske.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitalii Kim, Head of the RMA, informed that on the night of 26 November, air defence forces shot down 4 Shahed-131/136 drones in the oblast.

On 25 November, a 30-year-old man died in the hospital following an FPV drone attack in Solonchaky village, Kutsurub community. 5 others were seriously injured and remain in stable but critical condition.

Odesa oblast

According to the RMA, a russian strike on Odesa on 25 November damaged an educational facility. Based on the information provided by the City Council, as of the morning of 26 November, 30 buildings were damaged: 25 apartment buildings, 1 non-residential building and 4 administrative buildings.

Kherson oblast

Roman Mrochko, Head of the RMA, reported that russian forces attacked Antonivka near Kherson by a drone, injuring a 61-year-old man who sustained blast trauma and a shrapnel wound to his leg.

The Prosecutor’s Office reported that the russian military shelled the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka in Kherson oblast. As a result of the attack on a public transport stop, there are killed and wounded, and a bus was damaged.

According to the RMA, in Antonivka, russian troops dropped explosives from a UAV, injuring a 74-year-old man. He was hospitalised with blast trauma and a shrapnel wound to his forearm.

In Beryslav, a 60-year-old man was injured in a drone attack. He was diagnosed with blast trauma and a back wound.

2 people were injured in Kindiika, near Kherson, due to a russian UAV strike at noon. A 27-year-old man suffered blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to his arm and leg, while a 60-year-old woman sustained a shrapnel wound to her shin. Both were hospitalised.

In Veletenske, a 65-year-old man was hospitalised with blast injuries and leg wounds after explosives were dropped from a drone.

The russian forces also targeted a civilian car in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson, injuring 3 people. A 67-year-old woman sustained blast trauma and head abrasions, a 53-year-old woman suffered blast trauma and a concussion and another individual was injured, though no details were provided.

On the morning of 26 November, russian forces dropped explosives from a UAV on a resident of Beryslav. The 59-year-old man sustained blast trauma and facial injuries and was hospitalised.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, reported that over the past day, russian forces shelled 16 settlements in Kherson oblast. The attacks targeted critical infrastructure and residential areas, damaging 2 apartment buildings and 8 private houses. 1 person was killed and 4 injured.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk community sent 2 means of electronic warfare Synytsia 3.5 (with 6 bands) to the Military Unit A4808.

Zakarpattia oblast

Uzhhorod community will donate UAH 1m from its budget to the budget of Pokrovsk city territorial community, Donetsk oblast. The funds will be sent to replenish the local material reserve in order to prevent and eliminate emergency situations.

The RMA handed over the III degree For Courage order the 1st to the family of Sergeant Roman Hopak.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, a project on psychological support for displaced people is starting. The goal of the project is to improve the psycho-emotional state of immigrants, to facilitate their adaptation in new communities

Lviv oblast

Thanks to the auction organized by the Victory Birds charity project, it was possible to collect UAH 7m to support the military. 80% of the raised amount will go towards the purchase of drones for defenders, and 20% will go towards the rehabilitation of military personnel returning from the front and undergoing rehabilitation at the Superhumans Center.

A meeting with the delegation of the Institute of National and Strategic Studies of Hungary took place in Lviv RMA. Details of the internship organized by the Institute for 6 representatives of 6 Lviv oblast were discussed.

Franco Yanezelli, Mayor of the Italian city of Trento, met with Andrii Sadov, Mayor of Lviv, and attended the Municipal Partnership Forum. They discussed strengthening cooperation between cities in the field of rehabilitation and support of youth initiatives.

The 1st recruiting center in Ukraine of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade of the 30th Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was opened in Lviv. It is here that those interested can learn more about the service and vacancies in this brigade, communicate with the military and join the defense of Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

The Air Defense Forces worked that night and shot down enemy air targets. People and infrastructure were not injured.

Veterans were handed cash certificates for getting apartments. For the purchase of housing, the state additionally allocated almost UAH 40m to oblasts. 20 veterans from Rivne, Duben, Varas, Pidloztsiv, Bilokrynytska and Kostopil communities will be able to purchase housing.

Ternopil oblast

During the night attack, enemy UAVs damaged one of the critical infrastructure facilities. Fortunately, there were no human casualties. Firefighters and police are on the scene. There is no stable electricity supply in Ternopil and other settlements. The relevant services are working to resolve the problem.

In Ternopil, due to a hit by an enemy UAV and damage to the electrical infrastructure, trolleybus traffic has been stopped. Buses run instead. Most of the city’s boiler houses are functioning, and if necessary, their work will also be supported by generators. Schools and kindergartens worked as usual. Those that do not have a centralized power supply are powered by generators. Heating stations have resumed operation in the city. Energy workers continue to work hard to restore electricity supply.

Khmelnytskyi oblast
