War in Ukraine today: latest news, 26 May, 2024 (photo)

It has been the 824th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 


What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm:   

Ukrainian troops continue to conduct a defensive operation. The total number of enemy attacks along the entire frontline has approached 80 since the beginning of the day.

Pokrovsk axis remains the area of the most intense fighting.

Kharkiv axis: there were 10 combat engagements, some of them lasted for a long time. Also russian invaders are launching airstrikes in the north of Kharkiv oblast using guided aerial bombs. To date, the enemy has already carried out at least 25 strikes with UAVs. Specifically, two such bombs were used in Kharkiv itself.

Ukrainian troops are eliminating russians for attempting to advance towards Kharkiv. The enemy’s total losses in manpower since the beginning of the day have already amounted to 137 killed and injured and 18 pieces of weapons and military equipment. One enemy tank, four vehicles and special equipment were destroyed. Two armoured combat vehicles, two vehicles and four artillery systems were damaged.

Kupiansk axis: russian troops tried to break through our defensive lines 9 times. They also suffered significant losses, about a dozen invaders were killed and 50 injured. Among the destroyed weapons of the invaders is a modern Serp-VS5 electronic warfare station. Two russian cannons were damaged.

The number of russian assault operations increased to six in Siversk axis and by eight in Kramatorsk axis. The enemy continues to increase pressure on Chasiv Yar and its surroundings.

Pokrovsk axis: our troops have repelled 21 enemy attacks since the beginning of the day. It is not easy for Ukrainian defenders, but the situation is under control.

Vremivka axis: the russian invaders keep trying to attack, using aircraft and anti-aircraft guns. 9 enemy assaults were repelled near Staromaiorske and Urozhaine. The enemy also launched airstrikes on the same villages.

Prydniprovskyi axis: there were 5 combat engagements on the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro river.

In other areas, the situation has not changed significantly.

Our troop groupings have defined and communicated tasks to strengthen defence resilience. Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy and inflict maximum losses on them.

On 26 May, a drone of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine attacked the Voronezh M long-range target detection radar in Orsk, Orenburg region of the russian federation. The Ukrainian drone covered a distance of more than 1,800km to the enemy’s facility, setting a new record for the range of destruction for kamikaze drones.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that over the year, 101 Ukrainian children have been returned from the occupied Kherson oblast. Recently, Save Ukraine managed to evacuate a large family with seven children, two girls and five boys, to the government-controlled territory. The youngest child was born in the occupation, only 9 months old, and the oldest is 12 years old.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that production facilities were destroyed. 10 people were injured and 1 woman killed.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov informed that russian troops also struck Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, hitting residential buildings close to downtown.

The death toll from the attack on Kharkiv has risen to 18. 48 people were injured. Five people remain missing. The information is being updated. A total of 21 people are currently in hospitals. One of them is a 13-year-old child in moderate condition with positive dynamics. 2 people are in intensive care in critical condition.

Specialised services continue to eliminate the consequences of the shelling of the hypermarket and other civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv. About 45% of the store’s area was destroyed. 16 people were killed and 49 injured. A total of 308 specialists and 33 pieces of equipment were involved in the rubble removal. The goal and actions of russians are to frighten Kharkiv residents and force them to leave the oblast.

The press service of the regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that one of the russian bombs that hit the Epitsentr hypermarket in Kharkiv on 25 May did not explode, it was found about 80m from it. According to the press service, it was a D-30 UMPB. Law enforcers found that the russian military had adjusted the strike with the help of reconnaissance UAVs.

Serhii Rashevskyi, Head of the Emergency Rescue Unit of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv oblast, stated that the burnt-out structures at the Epitsentr create a threat of collapse. According to him, the biggest difficulty of the work is that due to the high temperature of the fire, only fragments of hard tissue remained of the victims. The area of the centre is about 13,000 sq m. The entire mass of construction debris and fire residue has to be cleared manually, as the remains of the victims can be anywhere.

The press service of the Epitsentr said that the company will provide financial assistance to all the families of those killed and injured as a result of russian shelling of the construction hypermarket in Kharkiv. The families of all the victims were promised a one-time payment of UAH 1m and funeral expenses. The families of the victims with children will receive UAH 10,000 per child per month until they reach the age of majority. Those injured in the shelling will receive compensation for medical treatment and rehabilitation.

Yevhen Vasylenko, Spokesman of the regional rescue service, said that the explosions heard in Balakliia could have been caused by a forest fire outside the city. According to him, about 7 hectares of coniferous litter are currently burning in Vysokobirske forestry. After the occupation in 2022, russians left a large number of anti-personnel mines and other ammunition in these areas.

At 4:45pm, russians shelled Khotimlia village in Chuhuiv region yesterday. The shelling damaged the building of an inactive recreation centre.

At 2:18pm, russians shelled Bohuslavka village in Izium region using KAB. 2 private houses were destroyed and 8 damaged. A woman was killed, two women, one man and 2 boys aged 13 and 9 injured.

At 2:18pm, russians shelled Ivashky village in Bohodukhiv region and as a result of the drop of a VOG munition, 1 man was injured.

At 1:45pm, russians shelled Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi village and as a result of the shelling, 3 private houses and 5 outbuildings caught on fire.

 At 12:30pm, russians attacked a private house in Kupiansk.

The enemy shelled Starytsia village in Chuhuiv region. As a result of the shelling, 1 person was injured and 1 killed.

At 8am, the enemy targeted Vovchansk. The shelling damaged a house and injured 1 person.

 Two people were injured by an explosive device on the outskirts of Ivashky village. Two men died as a result of their injuries.

There were 12 combat engagements towards Kharkiv. 10 attacks were repelled near Lyptsi and Ternova villages, and fighting continues near Vovchansk and Starytsia. The situation is under control and no positions were lost.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy tried 22 times to force our units out of their positions. There were hostilities near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Novoiehorivka, Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka and Nevske. Currently, fighting continues near Petropavlivka, Berestove and Novoiehorivka. The situation is under control.

A total of 11,142 people have been evacuated from Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Bohodukhiv regions.

During the full-scale war, Kharkiv ambulance paramedics received more than 900,000 calls. More than 75,000 of them were related to civilian combat injuries. About 300 successful resuscitations were performed.  The enemy killed 6 medical workers in the oblast and 11 others were injured in enemy attacks.

Donetsk oblast

Oleksandr Zhuravlov, Head of Lyman CIty Military Administration, reported that the russian army fired one rocket and three guided bombs at Lyman around 9:40am. Two women were lightly injured.

Kyrylo Sazonov, a soldier of the 41st Brigade, said that the russian army has reduced the use of long-range artillery, while increasing the use of cluster munitions, drones, mortar attacks and advancing daily towards Chasiv Yar.

The press service of Donetsk police reported that during the day, police recorded 2,082 hostile attacks.

There were hits in 9 settlements: Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Lyman, Selydove, Siversk, Chasiv Yar, Pivnichne, Antonivka and Zakitne.

33 residential buildings and an outbuilding were damaged.  

The invaders struck Antonivka by FPV drone, killing two civilians and injuring another resident.

One person was killed, one injured and three private houses damaged in Chasiv Yar.

Two civilians were injured in Krasnohorivka – one was killed and another injured. One person was killed in Siversk.

Russia dropped 4 KAB-250 guided bombs on Pivnichne, damaging 3 apartment buildings and 14 private houses.

Also russian troops launched an airstrike on Selydove with a D-30SM UMPB guided bomb. 11 private houses were destroyed.

In Krasnohorivka, the White Angel police unit rescued a man. During the enemy shelling, the man was injured in the chest as a shrapnel passed near his heart and hit the lung. Despite the hostilities in the city, the police arrived as soon as possible to rescue him.

The press service of the Ministry of Reintegration confirmed that an 11-year-old child, who had been in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk oblast for more than two years, was returned to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, two more cases of destruction of residential buildings were recorded in Nevske. Having no expected success at the front, the invaders are targeting settlements. They shelled Nevske and Novoliubivka with multiple rocket launchers and cannon artillery. Kuzemivka, Stelmakhivka, Hrekivka and Makiivka were under mortar and artillery attack.

Fighting continued yesterday in Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka. Specifically, the invaders lost 69 personnel towards Kupiansk. A russian air defence system and two cannons were destroyed, and another artillery system damaged.

Sievierodonetsk Humanitarian Hub received computers as part of cooperation with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Ukraine and with financial support from the European Union.

A photo of an announcement by a water utility company providing services in occupied Sievierodonetsk regarding adjustments to readings and charges was published on social media. To do this, a person needs to confirm that they do not live in the apartment or house. This can only be done in person, in the presence of two witnesses who have russian passports.

Also russians consider Brianka, which was occupied 10 years ago, to be a remote settlement. Therefore, no global work is planned there. There is no modern venue, but now there is a car club run by the russian Ministry of Culture.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The RMA reported that specialists from the State Emergency Service would be working in Bila Tserkva region on 27 May to eliminate explosive devices. Residents of the region were urged to remain calm.

Kyiv City Council informed that six mini-CHP plants will be installed in residential areas of Kyiv on the right and left banks. The CHP plants will be located in places where most people live. They are expected to provide light, heat and water to 300,000 Kyiv residents. Individual boiler houses and individual generating equipment will be installed in apartment buildings.

Kyiv will send aid to Kharkiv, whose residents are constantly being subjected to devastating attacks by russian troops. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko, it has about 30 lung ventilators, 50 generators and 10 passenger buses. 

Detector Media announced that Radio Liberty released the first part of an investigation into the killings in Bucha. The journalists managed to identify the russian military, who are likely to be involved in the murder of SSU Colonel Oleksii Telizhenko. His body with traces of torture was found in September 2022 in a forest on the outskirts of Bucha.

The therapeutic garden is being created on the territory of the Pavlov Psychiatric Hospital in Kyiv. Its goal is to heal Ukrainians affected by the war in Ukraine. First of all those who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and need such adaptation. The author of the idea is Danish urbanist Mikael Colville Andersen. The hospital recently hosted a community clean-up day, attended by hundreds of volunteers, to prepare the grounds for the future garden.

On Kyiv Day, the 31st annual charity Chestnut Run was held, with the same slogan: “I run for children’s hearts”. Like last year, due to martial law, the participants did not gather at a single location, but went for a walk or run in any safe place in any country in the world. In total, more than 7,000 people took part in the race in different cities of Ukraine and the world. The funds raised from the registration will be transferred to the Centre for Paediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery to purchase the necessary medical equipment.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr RMA reported that 51 soldiers have already been fully treated and received free prosthetics at the regional medical rehabilitation centre.

Also, according to the RMA, Myropillia Lyceum became one of 25 educational institutions in Zhytomyr oblast selected to participate in a pilot project to implement the Estonian innovation Clanbeat. This is a unique solution aimed at supporting the well-being of students and school staff by analysing their psycho-emotional state and determining the state of mental health in school teams.

In Zhytomyr, a hiking equipment store organised a charity sale of second-hand items, which was actively supported by the city’s residents. Part of the proceeds will be used to help the Ukrainian military, including the purchase of drones for one of their units.

Sumy oblast

The RMA reported that at night and in the morning of 27 May, russians attacked Sumy oblast border areas four times. 12 attacks with mortars and artillery were recorded. Bilopillia, Krasnopillia and Esman communities were shelled.  

Yesterday the russian military carried out 28 attacks in Sumy oblast – a total of 127 attacks from various types of weapons were recorded. 10 border communities were under attack: Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske.

Sumy police informed that as a result of russian shelling on 26 May, 6 private residential buildings, two outbuildings and the property of a business were damaged in the oblast. According to the North military command, one house was destroyed in Seredyna-Buda, and one house was damaged in Sukhodil village. The shelling also affected a private house and a power line in Bilopillia.

According to the State Emergency Service, over the past week, pyrotechnics in the oblast destroyed 38 munitions in Sumy, Okhtyrka, Konotop and Shostka districts. Since the beginning of the year, 499 explosive devices have been found in Sumy oblast. 

Chernihiv oblast

The police of Chernihiv oblast reported that on 27 May, the russian army attacked two villages of the Semenivka community with a drone and artillery, injuring two local residents. The enemy’s military dropped explosives from a drone on an agricultural building near which a 38-year-old local resident was standing, causing his injury and hospitalisation. An hour later, the russians shelled another community village with artillery and wounded an elderly woman. The police helped evacuate the victim to hospital. Several residential buildings caught fire due to russian shelling.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the russian troops attacked five settlements on Chernihiv oblast border. A total of 35 explosions were recorded – attacks from mortars, cannon artillery and FPV drones. Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities were under attack.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, informed that over the past week, the enemy fired 29 times at 18 settlements in Chernihiv oblast. A total of 180 attacks were recorded during this period, including three air strikes. No one among the local residents was injured.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy honoured the soldiers of Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment who are fighting in Donetsk oblast. Soldiers Vitalii Mukha and Vitalii Krasko and Staff Sergeant Andrii Vitchenko received special recognition. According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, the soldiers distinguished themselves in a close combat near Krasnohorivka and prevented the russian army from advancing deeper into the defensive line at their positions.

The Pope was presented with a painting of a destroyed Ukrainian city by Chernihiv artist Volodymyr Myronenko. It was delivered by Ukrainian Veronika Dyakovych during the International Congress of Youth Pastoral Care in Rome. The author of the painting survived the occupation, under which he buried his grandmother while his house was destroyed by russian shelling. The painting depicts a destroyed Ukrainian city with a child standing in the middle of it. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening, the enemy launched a kamikaze drone at Marhanets community. The occupiers also fired twice at Nikopol with artillery. About a dozen shells were launched at night and in the morning. The morning shelling caused a fire at an enterprise. Two private houses were damaged. 

The occupiers shelled Nikopol region. A 56-year-old man was injured in the region’s centre as a result of the shelling. He was taken to the surgical department of the hospital in serious condition. Doctors are providing all necessary medical assistance. In total, there were about fifteen attacks in the area during the day. The enemy fired with kamikaze drones and artillery at Nikopol, Myrove, Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. Five residential buildings, a private enterprise, infrastructure facilities, a hotel complex, and an outbuilding were damaged, and another building was completely destroyed. Cars, a garage and power lines were hit.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov reported that ​​Vinnytsia oblast has delivered FPV drones, thermal imagers, and four powerful off-road vehicles to the military at the front line. 

Serhii Morhunov added that 25 children, who lost their parents in the war, were sent abroad for a vacation in Dijon, France. Teachers went along with the children. 

Kirovohrad oblast

Oleksandr Nikitenko, Director of the Department of Administrative Services, reported that 493 persons liable for military service updated their data over the past week in  Kropyvnytskyi Administrative Services Center. This can be done in the centre from 18 May. According to the new law on mobilisation, all persons liable for military service aged 18-60 must update their personal data by 16 July. 

Kirovohrad oblast says goodbye to four soldiers who died in the war with russia. These are Oleksii Harbar from the Oleksandrivka community, who died on 22 May, 2024 near the village of Kalynivka, Bakhmut region, Donetsk oblast. Yurii Brychka from Kompaniivsk community. On 22 April, 2022, there was a battle near the village of Novotoshkivske, Luhansk oblast, and since then the family has not heard from the defender. Now his death has been confirmed. The soldier was 45 years old. Oleksii Tsyhanenko from Novoarkhanhelsk community, wass killed while performing combat missions towards Chasiv Yar. Oleksandr Biliakov from Pishchanobridsk community, was killed on 22 May, 2024 in Chasiv Yar, Bakhmut region, Donetsk oblast.

Poltava oblast

Oleksandr Krokovets, a soldier of the 47th separate mechanised brigade, was awarded the medal of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “To the Defender of Ukraine”. The award was personally presented by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Cherkasy oblast

Memorial plaques were unveiled in Chyhyryn region for soldiers who were killed in the war: Oleksandr Berestovskyi, Valentyn Basenko, Serhii Karusov, Vladyslav Kamianyi, Viacheslav Pryida, Ruslan Zhyhunov and Petro Korniienko were also awarded the medal. The memorials were installed on the facades of the schools where the defenders studied.

Twenty soldiers from Cherkasy oblast have applied to participate in the Invictus Games 2025. At the end of May, the national team will be selected, and the competition will take place in Canada.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday the occupiers struck Zaporizhzhia oblast 412 times. Also russian forces hit Zaporizhzhia with a missile and carried out airstrikes on Novoandriivka and Levadne. 166 UAVs attacked Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Novoandriivka. 17 MLRS attacks targeted Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka. There were 226 artillery strikes on the territories of Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Levadne, Malynivka and Piatykhatky. One report of housing destruction was received.

Yesterday the enemy launched a missile strike with a Kh-59 cruise missile on Zaporizhzhia International Airport. The airport terminal was damaged.

The occupiers carried out 4 assaults towards Orikhiv. Two of them were in the area of Mala Tokmachka. They were unsuccessful.

Mykolaiv oblast

Today, 27 May, the enemy launched a missile strike on the city of Snihurivka. A fire broke out at a café, an auto shop, and a tire repair shop as a result of the attack. A self-service car wash was damaged by the blast wave. Three people were killed and six injured, including two minors. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which covered an area of 300 sq m. The work is ongoing.

Last night, 27 May, the enemy shelled Ochakiv city with artillery. There were no casualties.

Mykolaiv oblast received significant humanitarian aid thanks to donors and partners of the Crimean Front, UAIM Humanitarian Fund, and KSRelief. A total of 280 washing machines, 298 microwave ovens, 248 refrigerators, and 288 dryers were delivered. This aid was distributed among physical culture, education, and healthcare institutions, foster families, family-type children’s homes, guardians (custodians) who took in children, municipal institutions for the elderly and persons with disabilities, as well as for homeless people.

Odesa oblast

As of 7:40am, 27 May, 2024, there are 3 enemy ships in the Black Sea. Yesterday, 6 vessels passed through the Kerch Strait to the Sea of Azov and 4 vessels to the Black Sea in the interests of the russian federation.

Kherson oblast

This morning, russian forces attacked Antonivka. Two people were injured.

Yesterday the enemy attacked Komyshany, Bilozerka, Sadove, Antonivka, Novotiahynka, Mykhailivka, Burhunka, Rakivka, and the city of Kherson. The enemy launched airstrikes with KABs on Beryslav and Kherson regions. Twelve private houses, an administrative building, an Invincibility Centre, a farm building, storage facilities and a private car were damaged. Three people were injured due to russian aggression.

It is reported that the enemy conducted eight unsuccessful assaults near Krynky on the left bank of the Dnipro river. After suffering losses, they retreated to their original positions.

Confirmed enemy losses over the past day amounted to 95 personnel and 9 units of weapons and military equipment. Two ammunition storage sites, two observation points, one firing position and two bunkers were destroyed.

This year, 101 children from Kherson oblast have been returned from russian occupation. Recently, “Save Ukraine” managed to evacuate a large family with seven children to territory controlled by Ukraine. Thanks to the enormous efforts of volunteers, the family is now safe, under the care of doctors and psychologists.

Today, another shelter for displaced persons was opened in Kherson. The temporary shelter will house people affected by the armed conflict and those whose homes were destroyed by flooding. The shelter can accommodate 40 people. Representatives of the “Manhust” (Mangoose) Charitable Foundation have equipped living and bathroom facilities and a kitchen. Additionally, displaced persons will be able to receive assistance with document processing, psychological support, and referrals for training courses to improve their qualifications and, if necessary, subsequent employment.

Volunteer medical workers visited Velyka Oleksandrivka, Novoraisk and Borozenke. Over four days, an endocrinologist and a gynaecologist provide consultations to 140 residents.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

As part of cooperation between regional administrations, Volyn oblast adopted the 1st group of children from foster families in Kharkiv oblast. With the assistance of the SOS Children’s Village CF in Volyn oblast, the first 17 families with children will be provided with a three-month stay. During this period, families will be offered opportunities to stay in a safe area. Ukrzaliznytsia, UNICEF and the Every Child Partnership took part in the organisation of transporting families to the place of rehabilitation. Thus, 75 people, including 50 children, were moved to a safe oblast. After arriving in Volyn, the families will be accompanied by social services. In general, the SOS Children’s Villages CF has allocated UAH 36m for the needs of moving such families to safe oblasts of Ukraine.

Lutsk City Council reported that the community sent 3 DJI Mavic 3 quadcopters to the Military Unit A0656.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Bozidar Longina, Head of the Zadar region of the Republic of Croatia. They agreed on future cooperation within the framework of the work of the Congress of local and regional authorities.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

11 people from 4 families of servicemen, and a total of, participate in the rehabilitation program, which takes place within the framework of the Care for the Hero’s Family project. For 3 weeks, the Yalynka recreation complex in Dolynsk region hosts wives, mothers and children of the fallen defenders.

Lviv oblast

Lviv City Council reported that Oslo City Council decided to support the Unbroken project. The city will send €1.3m for children’s rehabilitation in Lviv.

Over 30 veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war, who are currently undergoing rehabilitation in Lviv oblast, and their relatives took part in the Canoe Veteran Camp. These are the first test competitions in inclusive rowing, which were held within the framework of the project of sports opportunities for soldiers and veterans of the League of the Invincibles. Rowing is already the 15th adaptive sport that is integrated into the physical and mental rehabilitation project.

In Truskavets, an Alley of memory of the fallen defenders was opened and consecrated. The Alley immortalises the names of defenders who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine from 2014 to today.

In Khodorivska community a memorial plaque to Myroslav Hladkyi, engineering and sapper platoon of the 214th Special Battalion OP FOR, was installed. He was killed on 5 January, 2024 near Bohdanivka. He was awarded the Golden Cross, Cross of the Brave and Combatant’s Cross honorary awards.

Rivne oblast

Rivne City Council reported that the community sent a Volkswagen T5 all-wheel drive car, household items and hygiene products to the military.

Ternopil oblast

Mykola Horodetskyi, Director of Ternopil Regional Employment Center, and Halyna Prystupa, Deputy Director of Ternopil branch of Ternopil Regional Employment Center, reported that the State Employment Service offers a number of services aimed at facilitating the employment of IDP. They noted that without registering at the employment centre, everyone can get the following services: informational, consulting, job selection, career guidance, a voucher for tuition fees, etc.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

For the 2nd year in a row, a football tournament is being held in Khmelnytskyi for the Day of Heroes of Ukraine. This year, 9 teams took part, including military units and the team of the city council. Almost all participants are military personnel who are actively fighting at the front, so for them this is an additional opportunity for psychological relief. The winners received gifts that will help them in combat work: 30 FPV drones, 3 DJI Mavic 3T Termal, 2 generators, cash certificates for UAH 30,000, etc.

An event called the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program. Psychosocial Support in the Community was held in Khmelnytskyi oblast. Issues of mental health services and psychosocial support in the community were discussed.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Martin Seiler, President of the General Council of Deputies of the Swabian District of the Federal Republic of Germany, and representatives of the German delegation. They discussed implementing important social initiatives and supporting cooperation at the community level.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Ukraine and Spain signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of security. Spain will provide Ukraine with €1bn in aid this year and €5bn by 2027.

Annalena Berbock, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, announced that the country sent an additional humanitarian aid package of €60m, specifically for eastern Ukraine.

Valdemaras Sarapinas, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Lithuania to Ukraine, announced that the government has allocated €5m for the provision of shelters in Ukrainian schools.

The UNITED24 summit was held in Kyiv. Over the past 2 years, thanks to the UNITED24 initiative, over $650m have been collected from over 110 countries of the world.

Paul Johnson, Swedish Minister of Defense, stated that Ukraine can use their weapons against russian targets.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Spain, where he was met by King Felipe VI of Spain. The purpose of the visit is to sign a bilateral security agreement and hold negotiations with Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Gitanas Nausieda, President of Lithuania. They discussed preparations for the Peace Summit in Switzerland, the Summit of the European Council and the NATO Summit.

Kharkiv RMA reported that Denise Brown, Coordinator of the UN system in Ukraine, and the UN team from Kharkiv oblast visited sites of russian attacks.
