Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has been active along almost the entire line of contact, concentrating offensive efforts towards Kurakhove and Pokrovsk.
In total, there have been 78 combat engagements so far.
Ukrainian defenders are holding back the pressure and inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
Border settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts continue to suffer from cynical artillery shelling and airstrikes from the territory of the russian federation. Artillery and mortar fire hit the areas of Klyusy, Iskryskivshchyna, Oleksandrivka, Ryasne, Pavlivka, Khrinivka, Leonivka, Slavhorod, and Velyka Pysarivka. russian terrorists used Su-25 aircraft to strike the Basivka area with unguided air missiles.
Kharkiv oblast is systematically bombarded by enemy aircraft. Today, from russian territory, the occupiers dropped 11 KABs, targeting the areas of Tyke, Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Lyptsi, and Vovchanski Khutory.
At the same time, seven enemy assaults were repelled near Slobozhanske, Hlyboke, and Vovchansk towards Kharkiv.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked our positions three times in the areas of Stelmakhivka, Tabaivka, and Pishchane. Battles continue near the latter two settlements. The occupiers bombarded Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi and struck with NARs near Synkivka.
Towards Lyman, the invading army carried out five attacks on Ukrainian positions near Nevske, Novoserhiivka, and Novoyehorivka today. Two clashes ended unsuccessfully for the enemy, and three are still ongoing. The occupiers are most active in the Nevske area.
Towards Siversk, the invaders carried out three unsuccessful attacks near Verkhnokamianske and Ivanodaryivka. The situation is under control.
Towards Kramatorsk, Ukrainian troops have been repelling four enemy assaults near Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar throughout the day. The occupiers are acting with air support, striking with NARs.
Towards Toretsk, the enemy carried out seven attacks near Zalizne, Pivnichne, and Niu-York. Clashes continue near each of these settlements. Additionally, the invaders carried out airstrikes on Niu-York and Druzhba with unguided aerial rockets.
Towards Pokrovsk, the largest number of clashes occurred. Since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 23 attempts to dislodge our defenders from their positions in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Vesele, Novoselivka Persha, Yasnobrodivka, and Tymofiivka. More than half of the clashes are still ongoing. The enemy also carried out four airstrikes on the areas of Oleksandropil and Novoselivka Persha.
Active battles continue towards Kurakhive. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled eight attacks by the occupying army and continue to fight in four more clashes. The enemy is concentrating efforts in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Kostyantynivka, and Paraskoviivka. The occupiers bombarded the areas near Ukrainsk with KABs.
Towards Vremivka, one enemy assault was repelled near Vodyane. Battles are ongoing in four locations near Kostyantynivka, Staromlynivka, and Vodyane. The enemy struck the area near Urozhaine with unguided aerial rockets.
Towards Orikhiv, the occupiers received a strong rebuff near the settlements of Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, and Novoandriivka, having carried out five attacks. Additionally, they bombarded the Mala Tokmachka area with seven KABs and launched over 120 unguided aerial rockets, targeting Huliaipole, Lobkove, and Kamianske with NARs.
No significant changes were observed in other directions.
Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy and try to inflict maximum possible losses on them.
Ukraine’s Permanent Mission to the UN published a statement on its website that Ukraine has refused to participate in the UN Security Council meeting during russia’s presidency. The statement notes that this is already the 16th Security Council meeting since September 2022, convened by russia to address the “fabricated problem of arms supplies to Ukraine”.
Andrii Yusov, representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, reported that a project called I Want to Return Home has been launched, aimed at returning Ukrainian prisoners in exchange for collaborators. He also noted that this is the third project of the humanitarian plan. Previous projects included I Want to Live for voluntary surrender and I Want to Find for relatives of russian occupiers searching for their loved ones.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Based on the information provided by the General Staff of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces repelled 127 russian assaults in Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv oblasts on 25 July.
Kharkiv oblast
In the border Hlyboke village, the russian army has intensified its assault activity. In Vovchansk, russia is moving assault groups, replenishing ammunition and actively conducting aerial reconnaissance.
The press service of the regional prosecutor’s office said that the 50- and 64-year-old men were injured as a result of russian shelling of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi at dawn on 26 July. Preliminary, the russians fired a KAB-250.
The longest air raid alert since the start of the full-scale invasion has ended in Kharkiv. It lasted two days, two hours and 31 minutes. The longest air alert before that lasted one day, 14 hours and 16 minutes. In Kharkiv oblast, as of 25 July, the alerts in Lyptsi and Vovchansk communities were for more than 74 days, having been announced on 12 May.
According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, yesterday at 6:24pm, the enemy attacked Kyrylivka village of Staryi Saltiv community, Chuhuiv region. As a result of the shelling, the roof of the village club was on fire. A 48-year-old woman was injured.
At 6:05pm, the enemy attacked Volokhivske village of Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region. As a result of the shelling a private house was burning. A 43-year-old man was injured.
At 5:25pm, the enemy attacked Kupiansk community. A shell hit the ground between two apartment buildings. A 69-year-old woman, two men of 71 and 72 years old were injured.
At 1:10pm, the enemy attacked Volokhivske village of Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region. As a result of the shelling a private house was burning.
At 1pm, the enemy attacked Kurylivka village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region. An 80-year-old woman was injured as a result of an MRLs attack.
At 12:05pm, the enemy attacked Kurylivka village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, a 3-storey private building burned.
At 10:40am, the enemy attacked Ruska Lozova village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling of the UAVs, 5 private houses were damaged, a 44-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman were injured.
At 10:05am, Hlushkivka village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region, was hit. As a result of the shelling the grass was burning.
Towards Kharkiv, the number of attacks in the last day was 9. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Hlyboke, Vovchansk and Tykhe.
Towards Kupiansk, there were 10 combat engagements near Stelmakhivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Synkivka.
Volodymyr Tymoshko, Head of Kharkiv police, reported that russian artillery fired 152 shells at Hoptivka-Piatikhatky highway. Artillery strikes are recorded in two communities near Kharkiv: Derhachi and Tsyrkuny. Also russia has a large number of 152-calibre shells, they can use them anywhere and anytime.
Donetsk oblast
According to the CMA, at around 10:30am on 26 July, russian troops fired a kamikaze UAV at Ukrainsk. The shelling damaged power lines and buildings of a coal mining enterprise, with no injuries or deaths.
The regional police reported that russian troops shelled Kostiantynivka by a guided aerial bomb at night. The munition with a planning module, the UMPB D-30, damaged at least five apartment buildings and caused damage to infrastructure.
Head of the CMA Horbunov informed that after the airstrike, russia shelled Kostiantynivka with cannon artillery. According to him, the second attack was on the area of private buildings. Currently, the city is repairing the consequences of the russian attacks last night, distributing building materials to residents whose homes were damaged, repairing gas networks, etc. As a result of both attacks, five facades of apartment buildings, a kindergarten, a gas pipeline and several private houses were damaged.
The press service of Donetsk police said that russian troops struck 2947 times at the frontline and residential areas.
17 settlements were under attack: Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Novohrodivka, Toretsk, Velyka Novosilka, Raihorodok, Yampil, Berestok, Voznesenka, Hannivka, Illinka, Katerynivka, Memryk, Novodmytrivka and Popasna.
33 civilian objects were damaged, including 27 residential buildings, commercial buildings, an educational institution, a grain elevator and critical infrastructure.
The russians dropped a KAB bomb on Illinka, killing a civilian and destroying a private house.
The enemy attacked Toretsk by KAB-500 and KAB-250 bombs, killing one person and injuring another, and destroying 2 apartment buildings.
In Berestok, a civilian was injured by a KAB-250 bomb with an UMPK module and a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of an airstrike.
Today after midnight, the occupiers struck Kostiantynivka with an UMPB D-30 SN guided bomb, injuring two residents and damaging at least 5 apartment buildings and infrastructure.
In Kramatorsk, russian terrorists hit an industrial area, there was no information on casualties.
Enemy shelling damaged 8 buildings in Novohrodivka, 7 in Katerynivka and two in Raihorodok and Yampil.
The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine reported that on 29 July, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II will host a large-scale event in Kyiv to mark the anniversary of the tragic events in Olenivka, Donetsk oblast. On 29 July 2022, an explosion occurred in the barracks of a penal colony in Olenivka. 53 prisoners of war from the Azov regiment were killed and more than 130 injured.
Luhansk oblast
According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the invaders attacked Nevske near the frontline with cannon and rocket artillery, using about 60 drones. Two houses and outbuildings near another completely burned down. Enemy shelling continues there.
The russians attacked near Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Nevske and in Serebrianka forest.
Until recently, three residents remained in Makiivka. One man was assisted to leave last Sunday. The remaining two have now been evacuated. They are a 70-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man. They are already in Kharkiv oblast with relatives. Krasnorichensk military administration is helping them with everything they need. We managed to save these people’s lives, but they stayed in Makiivka to the last – in a settlement that the russians have already destroyed by 99%. Today, there is not a single resident left there. The fighting is going on very close by.
Miners in occupied Dovzhansk have not received their salaries since March. At first they were scared of forced mobilisation, then they were motivated by the appearance of russian investors. Now they are promising to pay with the proceeds from the sale of inventory still available at the coal mining companies.
Starting from 1 September, a new subject will be introduced in all schools in the territories occupied by russia – “Fundamentals of security and defence of the homeland”. It will be taught in grades 8 and 10. Teachers will be trained by the Warrior centre for military and sports training and patriotic education of young people. A feature of the curriculum is mandatory five-day military training for school students.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The Head of the regional military administration informed that the enemy had been attacking Kyiv oblast with attack drones for the third night in a row. The alert lasted over two hours. The Air Defence Forces were deployed in the oblast. According to the latest information, there were no casualties. There were no hits to residential or critical infrastructure.
The RMA reported that a temporary educational space for students of the school that was damaged during the russian occupation was opened in the village of Bohdanivka, Velyka Dymerka community. It will be able to accommodate 250 children of Bohdanivka gymnasium, who will no longer have to be transported to educational institutions in other settlements. The school in Bohdanivka was destroyed by the russian military when they retreated from Kyiv oblast in the spring of 2022.
The SES announced that in Kyiv oblast, rescuers conducted fire and tactical training in a shopping mall. Such exercises help rescuers practise all the necessary skills to respond quickly to crowded facilities.
Another tactical medicine training course was recently held in Kyiv by the Ukrainian Women’s Guard NGO. It was conducted by Mariia Horobets, military volunteer and experienced instructor in tactical medicine and first aid training for military and civilians. The training was based on the MARCH protocol.
Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk announced that Bucha City Council has adopted a decision to help war veterans and purchase drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 5 war veterans who were disabled during hostilities will be provided with housing at the expense of subsidies from the state budget. UAH 1m were allocated for the purchase of drones for the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade.
On 24 July, the Ukrainian Veterans Fund announced the start of a funding competition for the Worth it: the Way of Recovery NGO. Under the terms of the project, funding is available to NGOs that provide veterans, their families, and families of fallen defenders with rehabilitation opportunities through physical activity.
Zhytomyr oblast
The RMA reported that another massive attack by Shahed UAVs took place last night in Zhytomyr oblast. UAV debris damaged civilian infrastructure and energy facilities. The consequences are being eliminated and the damage is being assessed.
Ukrenerho reported that over 68,000 consumers in certain districts of Zhytomyr and Kyiv oblast lost power due to the damage to the equipment. In the morning, about 30,000 consumers were cut off from electricity.
Another outpatient rehabilitation department was opened in Zhytomyr at Polyclinic №2, with modern equipment, new simulators, equipped rooms, and qualified staff. The hospital allocated UAH 11.8m to implement this project. The entire unit is inclusive.
Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration also informed that recently 125 family members of fallen defenders from Zhytomyr oblast took part in the consecration of the Cornerstone by the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. It will be used to build the all-Ukrainian memorial in honour of the heroic soldiers who gave their lives in the russian-Ukrainian war, Memory is Alive.
Sumy oblast
At night and in the morning of 26 July, russians fired nine times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. A total of 23 explosions were recorded. The enemy shelled Miropilliaa and Krasnopillia communities with artillery, and Bilopillia community was hit with mortars. On the territory of the Esman community, launches of ammunition from an Orion reconnaissance and strike UAV (4 explosions) and shelling with the use of FPV drones (4 explosions) were recorded.
The regional military administration reported that over the past day, the russian military fired 36 times in Sumy oblast. A total of 109 explosions were recorded. 12 communities were shelled.
Velykap Pysarivka community: 2 FPV drones were fired from the territory of the russian federation (2 explosions), artillery shelling (6 explosions), shelling with AGS (26 explosions), 16 mines were dropped by russians on the community’s territory.
Seredyna-Buda community: FPV drones were fired from the territory of the russian federation (4 explosions), artillery shelling (2 explosions).
Bilopillia community: the enemy attacked with mortars (12 explosions) and artillery (4 explosions).
Krasnopillia community: mortar shelling (1 explosion), shelling with the use of 1 FPV drone (1 explosion), artillery shelling (2 explosions) were recorded.
Khotyn community: mortar shelling (5 explosions), dropping of a VOG-type explosive device from a hostile UAV (1 explosion), and launching of NAR-type rockets (4 explosions) from a hostile helicopter.
Esman community: an attack was conducted using 1 FPV drone (1 explosion).
Yunakivka community: FPV drone strikes (5 explosions), artillery shelling (2 explosions), and the dropping of explosive devices of the VOG type from an enemy UAV (2 explosions) were recorded.
Nova Sloboda community: 2 FPV drones were fired upon from the territory of the russian federation (2 explosions).
The enemy fired at Myropillia community with artillery, Druzhbivka (2 explosions), Shalyhyne (3 explosions) and Hlukhivka (2 explosions) communities came under mortar fire.
Sumy police reported that on 25 July, 22 settlements in the oblast came under russian fire. A private house was damaged as a result of russian attacks. According to the North Military Command, a mobile phone tower was damaged in Seredyna-Buda.
The Regional National Police reported that on 25 July, bomb disposal experts neutralised a russian aircraft-type UAV that had crashed in the south of Sumy oblast. Also, a warhead of a russian missile was found near one of the settlements of Sumy oblast. The explosive item, which contained several hundred kilograms of explosives, was seized and taken to a landfill for destruction.
The State Environmental Inspectorate of Sumy oblast reported that the environmental inspection of Sumy oblast has calculated the damage caused to the air by the shelling of the russian federation. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the total amount is almost UAH 245m. Over 33,000 tonnes of pollutants have been released into the air during the entire period of active hostilities in Sumy oblast. These include nitrogen and carbon dioxides, carbon monoxide, ammonia, sulphur dioxide, soot, and a number of heavy metals. Communities of Shostka, Konotop and Sumy suffered the most damage from russian shelling.
The RMA announced that Germany has financed the purchase of four Social Taxis for communities of Sumy oblast. These are Yampil, Krasnopillia, Lipova Dolyna and Shostka communities. The social taxis are intended for all residents who cannot use public transport for health reasons, including veterans returning home from the war.
Chernihiv oblast
Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, reported that on the night of 26 July, there was another attack by russian drones on Nizhyn. An infrastructure object was hit. As a result of the russian attack, 15 people were injured, 4 people are in the hospital. A residential dormitory, in which pensioners lived in 24 apartments, was also damaged. The dormitory is uninhabitable after being hit.
During the past day, 25 July, russian troops struck four border communities of Chernihiv oblast. As reported by the SBGS, a total of 34 explosions were recorded.
Novhorod-Siverska community: 9 hits from barrel artillery in the direction of Kamianska Sloboda and Kovpinka.

In Chernihiv, a new postage stamp dedicated to military and civilian medics was issued for the Medic’s Day. Andrii Tosenko, Director of network development of Chernihiv oblast of Ukrposhta stated that the funds received from their sale will go to help hospitals in front-line settlements.
Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, announced that France will help the oblast with financing for the liquidation of the consequences of the missile attack on Chernihiv on 17 April 2024. Also in plans: restorative measures in three hospitals; support of social protection and professional training; project to support local self-government bodies of Chernihiv oblast in restoration and decentralisation. French organisations that provide assistance to Chernihiv oblast are Expertise France, Electriciens sans frontiers, French Civil Protection, EGIS, Maecenat Servier, Acted.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported that the occupiers attacked Nikopol with kamikaze drones. They targeted the district centre, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. The infrastructure was damaged. The attacks continued in the morning, hitting another settlement in Chervonohryhorivka community.
Throughout the day, the enemy did not stop attacking Nikopol. Due to the shelling, a 75-year-old man in the district centre was injured. He was hospitalised with shrapnel wounds in serious condition. The occupiers targeted Nikopol, Pokrovsk, Myrove, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. They used artillery and kamikaze drones. Twelve private houses, an administrative building, two farm buildings, infrastructure, a car, and gas pipelines were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
In the village of Buhakiv, Bratslav community, Vinnytsia region, a memorial plaque was unveiled in memory of Yurii Vedelskyi, fallen defender. The soldier was killed in July 2023 in Luhansk oblast.
Sergii Morhunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia, reported that 100 FPV drones and another buggy were sent to the military from the oblast. His municipal enterprises are making them from used cars specifically at the request of the military.
Kirovohrad oblast
In Kropyvnytskyi, a farewell ceremony was held for soldiers Serhi Dashchenko and Serhii Vdovin, who were killed in the russian-Ukrainian war. Serhii Vdovin was a civilian aviation pilot who volunteered for the front. Serhii Dashchenko served as a gunner in an airborne assault bridge. He was killed two days before his 37th birthday.
Cherkasy oblast
In Cherkasy, a special repayment of the stamp Heroic Professions. Angels of War took place. The release was dedicated to medics, both civilian and military.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Yesterday, occupiers carried out 441 attacks on 9 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 6 airstrikes on Mala Tokmachka and Kamianske. A total of 235 UAVs of various modifications targeted Zaporizhzhia, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, Robotyne, Malynivka, and Novoandriivka. Additionally, 15 MLRS strikes hit Robotyne, Novoandriivka and Mala Tokmachka. There were 185 artillery strikes on the territories of Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Malynivka, and Levadne. Seven reports of the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were received.
The General Staff reported that the occupiers continue attempting to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions towards Orikhiv. Four combat clashes occurred near Mala Tokmachka, Yurkivka, Shcherbaky and Novoandriivka.
Mykolaiv oblast
Yesterday, 25 July, at 12:14pm and 7:58pm, the enemy carried out artillery shelling on Kutsurub community. There were no casualties.
Odesa oblast
According to the South Operational Command there is one enemy ship in the Black Sea, which is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 4 missiles. There are no enemy ships in the Sea of Azov.
A working meeting was held with Richard Ragan, Director of the UN World Food Programme (WFP) Representation in Ukraine in Odesa. The cooperation in the agricultural sector, increasing crop yields, the functioning of the Ukrainian grain corridor, and the export of grain from Ukraine were discussed. Notably, over 200,000 tonnes of agricultural products worth $275m have already been sent from ports of Odesa oblast within the framework of the President of Ukraine’s Grain from Ukraine initiative. Many donors have joined the initiative, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and Luxembourg.
Kherson oblast
One person was killed and seven were injured as a result of yesterday’s russian attacks on Kherson oblast. russian troops once again shelled the right bank of the oblast using MLRS, artillery, mortars, and various types of UAVs. The attacks affected Kherson, Antonivka, Sadove, Poniativka, Bilozerka, Prydniprovske, Beryslav, Bruskinske, Liubymivka, Mykhailivka, Burhunka, Novooeksandrivka and Dudchany. 39 objects were damaged in these settlements, including 24 private houses, eight apartment buildings, a medical institution, an administrative building, four cars and a utility building.
Daily counter-battery fighting and repelling of enemy assaults continue in the operational zone of the Defense Forces of the South. The enemy does not abandon attempts to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions. Over the past day, the occupiers conducted four assaults on the left bank of the Dnipro in the area of Krynky.
Confirmed enemy losses over the past day amounted to 117 personnel and 40 units of weapons and military equipment. Additionally, one ground control point for UAVs, one telecommunications tower with electronic warfare equipment, two field ammunition storage buildups, one observation point, one firing position, and seven dugouts were destroyed.

38 families of fallen soldiers from Volyn oblast took part in the All-Ukrainian funeral of families of Heroes who were killed in the russian-Ukrainian war. Every year, thousands of families of fallen defenders from different oblast of Ukraine come to the village of Lishnia, Kremenetsk region, Ternopil oblast, to the only chapel-pantheon of Heroes in Ukraine, to honour the memory of their loved ones with a prayer. In hands of parents, wives and children – photos of those whose lives were taken by the war.
Zakarpattia oblast
This week, the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center provided IDPs registered in Uzhgorod with 35 packages with necessary things for children under 1 year old and 50 bags with grocery sets. During the week, volunteers gave out clothes, shoes, bed linen and dishes (1,800 items) from the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV and other benefactors.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that the community sent 30 FPV drones to the 45th Separate Rifle Battalions.
The 5th anniversary charity auction was held in support of defenders of the 50th Regiment named after Semen Vysochan. The event began to commemorate all sons and daughters of Ukraine who were killed fighting for their native land. After that, they received the blessing of Volodymyr Viytyshyn, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ivano-Frankivsk of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church. 35 lots were presented to guests of the event. Lviv oblast
Lvivvodokanal received 6 modern diesel generators of the Genset company from the United Nations Children’s Fund to ensure the possibility of uninterrupted water supply and drainage in the city of Lviv thanks to the financial support of the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance.
26-year-old Oleksandr Privedyon with a complex amputation was fitted with a bionic prosthesis at the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center. The Hero lost his arm while pulling his comrades from the battlefield, received an artificial limb.
A walk through the bear shelter Hiking Therapy for servicemen and their families was held. It was organised as part of the Travel Therapy project, the Next Step Ukraine Rehabilitation Center and the My Dad Protects Ukraine Charitable Society. 40 people took part in the walk, including servicemen, their wives, relatives and children of fallen soldiers.
The oblast sent 62 drones Mavic 3T, Mavic 3 Classic and Pro types to the Tank Battalion of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade AZOV thanks to the Safe Lviv Oblast program. From the beginning of 2024, within the framework of the Safe Lviv Oblast regional program, almost UAH 481m have already been sent to defenders.
Rivne oblast
The regional office of the Security Service of Ukraine held an interdepartmental meeting. They discussed strengthening of the state border and observance of the curfew.
Another 51 educational security officers will appear in Rivne oblast. On 1 September, officers of the Educational Security Service will cover 88 schools in 12 communities of Rivne oblast.
The Ministry of Infrastructure together with UN Women will launch a pilot training project for female drivers. The goal is to provide retraining and retraining of female drivers in the field of urban and municipal transport, namely buses.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil community sent ballistic protection to the Special Police Unit thanks to the budget funds.
The All-Ukrainian commemoration of the families of Heroes who were killed in the russian-Ukrainian war was held in the village of Lishnia, Kremenets region. Every year, thousands of people from different parts of the country come here, to the only chapel-pantheon of Heroes in Ukraine, to honour the memory of those who were killed for the independence and freedom of Ukraine.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that since the beginning of the year, the community has sent over 4,100 different FPV models, over 330 copters and 90 EW and REP devices to the military.
In Khmelnytskyi, the Time of the Brave literary award named after Yevgenii Rolduhin, a young soldier-writer who was killed heroically, was launched. The prize will be awarded in 2 age groups (16-20 and 21-25 years old), and will be presented on Volunteer Day in 2 categories – poetry and prose. Young Khmelnytskyi authors who write patriotic or military-patriotic works will be able to receive it. The amount is 3 minimum salaries.
Chernivtsi oblast
Chernivtsi City Council reported that UAH 10.1m was allocated from the budget of the community to support the defence forces.
Bukovyna expands international ties. Khotyn became a partner of the Lithuanian municipality of Kazlu-Ruda. Cooperation in the fields of energy, health care and education is planned.
In Chernivtsi oblast, a project is being implemented, which provides sightseeing tours and the passage of easy mountain routes through the Pokut-Bukovyna Carpathians for military personnel who are undergoing rehabilitation in the oblast’s institutions. Already the 2nd group of defenders joined the excursion tour of Bukovina. Such events will be held until the end of summer. They aim to improve both the physical and psychological recovery of soldiers who have lost their health while defending the Motherland.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
The European Commission sent €1.5bn from the frozen assets of the russian federation to Ukraine. This is only the 1st tranche. The funds will go to the defence and reconstruction of the country.
The US will send another $2bn in aid to Ukraine because they found an accounting error. They found errors in their calculations of ammunition, missiles and other weapons sent to Ukraine, which increased the incorrectly estimated materials to $8.2bn instead of $6.2bn.
Poland sent the 45th package of military aid to Ukraine. Details of the package have not been released, only that it includes a significant amount of ammunition. Poland also sent 10 MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine.
The Boeing company and the Antonov company signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of drones. The Boeing company reports that the contract provides for cooperation in training, logistical support, and assistance in the repair of drones used by the Defence Forces of Ukraine, specifically the ScanEagle UAV.
