It has been the 1490  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

Since the start of the day, the aggressor has carried out 49 attacks.

Shelling of border areas continues. Today, in Sumy oblast, Tovstodubove, Korenok, Sukhodil, Neskuchne, Iskryskivshchyna and Sosnivka were hit. In Chernihiv oblast, Mykhalchyna Sloboda, Senkivka and Bleshnia were shelled.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the enemy carried out 40 shelling attacks on settlements and our troops’ positions today.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy attacked twice in Vovchansk. One engagement is ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy launched one assault on our troops’ positions towards Novoosynove.

Towards Lyman, since the start of the day, the enemy has attacked our defenders’ positions twice towards Lyman.

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations.

Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy carried out one offensive operation in Minkivka.

Towards Kostiantynivka, the invaders carried out nine offensive operations towards Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Sofiivka and Novopavlivka. Three engagements are still ongoing.

Since the start of the day, defence forces have repelled 17 enemy assaults towards Pokrovsk in Rodynske, Hryshyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, Bilytske and Shevchenko. Three engagements are still ongoing.

Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy carried out four offensive operations in the areas of the settlements of Ternove, Krasnohirsk and Zlahoda.

Towards Huliaipole, 13 attacks took place towards the settlements of Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Varvarivka, Myrne and Olenokostiantynivka. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Novoselivka, Kopani, Svoboda, Yehorivka, Shyroke and Lisne.

Towards Orikhiv, no active offensive actions by the enemy were recorded. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas around the settlement of Orikhiv.

Towards Dnipro, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.

In other sectors, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No attempts by the enemy to advance have been recorded.

Ukrainian troops are wearing down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.

Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the President’s Office, has published the results of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War’s activities over the four years of its operation. During this time, the institution has become a key centre for the rescue of Ukrainians, having carried out over 70 successful exchanges. In total, more than 8,000 citizens, both military personnel and civilians, have been freed from russian captivity.

Training for teachers of the subject “Defence of Ukraine” will receive a new push in 2026. This year, the state will once again allocate funds for the training and professional development of teachers of this subject. Particular attention will be paid to marksmanship training and drone operation.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed the destruction of three russian military targets in the temporarily occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. In particular, Ukrainian defence forces attacked russian troop concentrations and a drone control centre.

Agents of the ATESH movement have identified a russian army fuel depot on the site of the former Transpele enterprise in occupied Luhansk. According to their information, following strikes on the oil depot in the city, covered lorries were moved there, and the area is being guarded by foot patrols of the occupying forces.

 

Kharkiv oblast

As of 4pm, according to the General Staff, towards Southern Sloboda, russian forces launched two attacks in Vovchansk, with one engagement still ongoing. Towards Kupiansk, russian forces carried out one assault towards Novoosynove.

Over the past 24 hours, 168 combat engagements were recorded. Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy launched five assaults on the positions of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Starytsia and Okhrimivka. Towards Kupiansk, the russians attacked six times near Petropavlivka, Borivska Andriivka, Novoplatonivka and Bohuslavka.

Since mid-March, russian troops have stepped up assaults again in the area of responsibility of the Hart border brigade in northern Kharkiv oblast. Small infantry groups are attempting to cross the state border, but Ukrainian forces are detecting and engaging them whilst they are still on russian territory. Following unsuccessful attacks in January and February, the occupiers withdrew, replenished their reserves and resumed offensive operations last week.

In Kochek, Chuhuiv community, windows in a private house were damaged as a result of a russian attack. No one was injured.

On the afternoon of 24 March, the russians struck Zolochiv and Odnorobivka with drones. In Zolochiv, four private houses were damaged; in Odnorobivka, a fire broke out in the building of a training centre laboratory, which was not in operation.

In Derhachi, an 82-year-old woman was injured as a result of a drone strike. At least four private homes and a farm building were damaged.

Over the course of two hours, the russians attacked Derhachi community twice with drones. At around 2:30pm, a Molniya UAV struck an administrative building in Derhachi, damaging the roof and a wall. At around 3:10pm, an unidentified drone crashed in an open area in the village of Bezruky, causing dry vegetation to catch fire. The fire was extinguished; there were no injuries.

In Slatyne, a russian strike hit an electric train. Following this, Ukrzaliznytsia decided to suspend train services in this direction: the train will run as far as Derhachi, after which passengers will be transported by bus. At the same time, the community reports that transport operators are refusing to travel to Slatyne and Bezruky due to the danger.

The russian army also attacked Sloboda region of Kharkiv with a drone. Preliminary reports suggest the strike was carried out by a Molniya type UAV.

Over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 14 settlements in the oblast have come under russian attack. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and three others were injured. A 60-year-old man was killed in Slatyne, whilst two 43-year-old men suffered acute stress reactions. In Riasne, Zolochiv community, a 30-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction.

For the strikes on Kharkiv oblast, the russians used 7 KABs, 4 Geran-2 UAVs, 6 Molniya UAVs, 6 FPV drones and 10 UAVs of an unidentified type.

In Kharkiv oblast, damage was caused to the road surface in Kharkiv, two private houses and a car in Zolochiv, an ambulance in Ploske, 20 private houses in Oskil, a private house and two outbuildings in Izium, a private house and an outbuilding in Lypchanivka, an agricultural enterprise building in Buhaivka, a shop in Derhachi, two private houses, two cars, a garage and an outbuilding in Kotliari, an electric train in Slatyne, the roof of a house in Khotiml, and power lines in Kyrylivka.

The transit evacuation centre in Lozova received 204 people in 24 hours. In total, 20,247 people have been registered there since it began operating.

Due to attacks on emergency ambulances, the Defence Council plans to consider a decision to ban medics from travelling to dangerous areas without electronic warfare systems. Some vehicles have already been fitted with such systems.

Over the past 24 hours, 76 people were evacuated, including four children. Evacuations are continuing, particularly for families with children. Recently, a mother and her 8-year-old son were evacuated from the frontline Mykhailivka in Kupiansk region, and a 9-year-old boy with a disability was evacuated from Velykyi Burluk. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, over 70,000 people have been evacuated, including 7,000 children.

The situation in the border settlements of Derhachi community remains difficult. Some villages have no electricity or gas, and due to russian attacks, it is impossible to establish a stable supply of humanitarian aid.

On 24 March, in Nemyshlianskyi district of Kharkiv, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the façade of Lyceum №175 in honour of National Guard soldier Vladyslav Panov, who was killed on 31 October 2025  towards Kupiansk. A commemorative stele was also erected in his honour on the Walk of Fame in Kulynychi.

Donetsk oblast

Over the past 24 hours, the Defence Forces repelled 34 assaults towards Pokrovsk. The russians attacked near Toretsk, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Udachne, and in the direction of Novooleksandrivka and Svitle. Seventeen attacks were recorded near Kostiantynivka, with a further 10 towards Oleksandrivka.

Fighters from the Skelia regiment cleared the village of Minkivka, unblocked the positions of an allied unit and eliminated around 40 occupiers. Meanwhile, the russian army plans to stage a fake capture of the village using footage featuring the “tricolour”, despite the fact that the Defence Forces are holding their positions.

Russian troops launched a massive air strike on Druzhkivka. As a result of the attack, one person was killed, another was wounded, and the fire could not be extinguished due to the threat of a second strike.

On 23 March, russia carried out 1,630 shelling attacks along the front line and on residential areas in the region.

Nine settlements was under attack: Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sviatohirsk and Sloviansk,f Malotaranivka, Oleksandrivka and Raihorodok, Dobropillia and Oleksandrivka.

In Mykolaivka, the russians carried out two strikes. Three apartment blocks and two private houses were damaged, as well as a civilian vehicle.

In Sloviansk, an FPV drone struck near an apartment block, there were no casualties or damage. In Kramatorsk, civilian vehicles were damaged as a result of drone attacks. In Sviatohirsk, a private house was damaged; in Raihorodok, an infrastructure facility was hit.

Officers from the White Angel unit evacuated a family with two children, 6-year-old Sofiika and 8-year-old Oleksandra, from Serhiivka; this is their third evacuation since the start of the full-scale war. The family had previously left Niu-York, then Andriivka, and have now left Serhiivka due to constant drone and KAB strikes. On the same day, under the threat of russian drones, law enforcement officers also evacuated a woman with limited mobility who required medical assistance from Mykolaivka.

The documentary film “Peace for Nina” by director Zhanna Dovhych, about the mother of Ihor Branovytskyi, a defender of Donetsk Airport, will be screened on 10 May at the Jean Rouch International Film Festival in Paris.

Six children remain in Druzhkivka community who are subject to compulsory evacuation. Local authorities are urging parents to take their children to safer regions of Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces intercepted russian strike and reconnaissance drones over Sloviansk overnight using interceptor drones. They used, in particular, the Blyskavka and Spis-A models. According to the military, russian drones appear over the city every day, mainly after 10pm.

Luhansk oblast

In Luhansk oblast, russian troops continue to shell the positions of the Defence Forces and populated areas. Yesterday the occupiers have used mortars 11 times, barrel artillery seven times, automatic grenade launchers three times, and deployed 28 drones. Towards Lyman and Sloviansk, the enemy attempted to attack 12 times.

In the so-called “lpr”, students at the local “University of Internal Affairs” are being recruited into the russian Federation’s drone forces even before they have completed their studies. The university administration is involved in the recruitment drive, and cadets are being sent personalised invitations to sign up.

In occupied Luhansk oblast, there remains an acute staff shortage in the cultural sector. Only 16 employees have agreed to relocate there from various regions of the russian Federation in exchange for additional payments, whilst staff shortages are being reported both in territories seized in 2022 and in cities occupied since 2014.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, construction is underway in the village of Borodianka on a radiation shelter designed to accommodate 1,500 people. The project involves creating a safe space with comprehensive infrastructure to house people during emergencies. The shelter will house main and auxiliary facilities, including a medical centre, a command post, areas for storing water and food, sanitary facilities and technical rooms.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that the capital’s community has sent another batch of essential aid to the front line. Soldiers of the Third Army Corps will receive 5,000 FPV drones of various types. In total, since the start of this year, over 41,500 UAVs of various types have been sent to soldiers in different brigades.

The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have released previously unpublished footage of their units in action during the battle for Kyiv. The video was published by the command on Facebook. In early 2022, Special Operations Forces special-purpose groups played an active role in the defence of the capital. In particular, small groups of special forces set up ambushes on russian convoys, destroyed equipment and attacked logistics. The statement said that winning the battle for Kyiv at the start of the full-scale invasion was a key victory that allowed Ukraine to preserve its statehood.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, on 24 March, the ‘Povernennia’ Mental Health Centre opened in Zhytomyr. This is the seventh such centre to be opened in the oblast within medical facilities. The centre provides free assistance to servicemen, veterans, their families and the families of those killed in the russian-Ukrainian war

Sumy oblast

The National Police of Sumy oblast reported that on 24 March, a russian UAV attacked a service vehicle of a police investigative team. As a result of the strike, the vehicle caught fire and was completely destroyed. Police officers managed to leave the vehicle in time and were not injured.

On the morning of 24 March, an enemy drone attacked public transport travelling towards Pishchane starosta region of Sumy community. A 65-year-old minibus driver was injured and is being examined by medics. There were no passengers on board at the time of the strike.

Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of Sumy City Military Administration, said that in Stetskivka starosta region, the enemy struck the territory of a private household by an FPV drone. Two passenger cars and a fence were damaged, and windows of the house were shattered.

Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that as a result of russian UAV strikes on Esman community, three men were injured. On the morning of 24 March, an enemy drone struck a vehicle, injuring a 62-year-old driver. In addition, two men who had been injured the previous day sought medical assistance. One of them, a 60-year-old man, was injured during a UAV attack while on the territory of his own household.

According to the State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast, on 23 March, a grain warehouse in Trostianets community came under russian strikes. During firefighting operations, russian forces carried out a second strike. A fire tanker was damaged.

Oleksandr Kvarta, Director of National Nature Park, reported that in Velyka Pysarivka, the building of Hetman National Nature Park was destroyed. The exhibition centre was damaged on 23 March as a result of russian shelling. Environmental and cycling tours, as well as kayaking routes, had started from this visitor centre.

According to the Regional Military Administration, as a result of russian shelling in Sumy oblast over the past day, 23 March, five civilians were injured, including a child.

  • In Hlukhiv community, a 5-year-old girl suffered an acute stress reaction following a drone strike;
  • In Trostianets community, a 59-year-old man was injured as a result of a UAV strike;
  • In Sumy community, a 13-year-old boy and his father, a 45-year-old man, were injured after a UAV struck a vehicle. In addition, a 65-year-old minibus driver was injured following a drone strike.

Between the morning of 23 March and the morning of 24 March, russian forces carried out more than 80 attacks on 28 settlements across 17 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Over the past day, the air raid alert in the oblast lasted for 20 hours and 59 minutes.

Civilian infrastructure was damaged and destroyed:

  • In Hlukhiv community, private houses, an apartment building, premises of an educational institution and an administrative building were damaged;
  • In Trostianets community, premises of a healthcare facility, an educational institution, a shop and non-residential premises were damaged;
  • In Sumy community, a private passenger car was destroyed, and a private residential house, a civilian infrastructure facility and vehicles were damaged;
  • In Mykolaivka settlement community, a private residential house was damaged;
  • In Bilopillia community, a private residential house was damaged;
  • In Esman community, private residential houses were destroyed;
  • In Shostka community, residential houses and non-residential premises were damaged.

Chernihiv oblast

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that in Kamianska Sloboda village, Novhorod-Siverskyi community, at around 3pm on 24 March, a russian FPV drone struck a private house. As a result of the explosion, a fire broke out.

The City Council informed that during an attack on Chernihiv on 24 March, a russian UAV fell on the territory of a private household. Eight private houses were damaged and up to 30 windows were shattered. According to the City Military Administration, the strike was recorded on Skoropadskoho Street. No casualties were reported.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, reported that on 24 March, russian forces attacked the border town of Semenivka using a strike UAV and an FPV drone. At 2:30pm, an FPV drone strike was recorded within the town. As a result of the explosion, a civilian vehicle was damaged. At around 3pm, a strike UAV detonated in a residential area.

According to Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, at 11:34am on 24 March, russian forces struck residential areas in the settlement of Korop by a Heran-type drone. As a result of the explosion, a house, a garage and a vehicle were damaged.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that on the morning of 24 March, russian forces attacked one of the villages in Kozelets community. Residential houses of local residents were damaged.

The State Emergency Service informed that during the night of 24 March, russian forces attacked Chernihiv oblast by drones. As a result of a UAV crash, a house and an outbuilding caught fire in Nizhyn region. According to the Regional Military Administration, overnight the enemy struck a rural household in Borzna region.

According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, during 23 March, russian forces attacked four border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (7 explosions), launched strikes using Shahed-type UAVs (2 explosions), FPV drones (12 explosions), and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (1 explosion). Nine settlements were under enemy fire.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

During the night, air defence forces shot down 18 enemy UAVs over the oblast.

Nikopol region. The occupiers shelled the region by MLRS, artillery and drones, targeting the regional centre, Marhanets, Myrove, Pokrovske rural and Chervonohryhorivka communities. 5 private houses, an outbuilding and a gas pipeline were damaged.

Synelnykove region. The russian forces attacked Vasylkivka, Slovianka and Shakhtarske communities by UAVs. A 76-year-old woman was injured in Vasylkivka community. A fire broke out, and 3 private houses, a garage and an enterprise were damaged. Following yesterday’s KAB strike in Pokrovske community, a private house was destroyed.

Nikopol region. A 50-year-old ambulance worker was injured in Myrove community after a targeted drone strike hit an emergency vehicle. A 43-year-old man was injured. In Nikopol, a 68-year-old man was injured. The russian forces continued attacking Marhanets, Pokrovske rural and Chervonohryhorivka communities by FPV drones and artillery. A private house, a vehicle, a gas station, a tractor and a scooter were damaged.

Synelnykove region. FPV drones struck Mykolaivka and Pokrovske communities. Fires broke out. A multi-apartment building, a private house, and a café were damaged, and a vehicle destroyed.

Dnipro. In Dnipro, 13 people were injured as a result of an attack, including 3 children. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Guard provided assistance to 42 people. 2 kindergartens and 9 multi-apartment buildings were damaged.

Kryvyi Rih region. FPV drones targeted Hrushivka and Zelenodolsk communities. A passenger car was damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Mayor Serhii Morhunov reported that as a result of a massive attack on Vinnytsia, a 59-year-old man was killed. 13 people were injured, 6 of whom were hospitalised, while 5 received medical assistance and were treated on an outpatient basis. 9 private houses were damaged, 3 of them severely. 2 high-rise buildings were damaged by the blast wave.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, residents paid tribute to servicemen Ivan Nazarenko and Vadym Baleiko.

Ivan Nazarenko was killed on 4 November 2024, near Vovchenka settlement in Pokrovsk region of Donetsk oblast.

Vadym Baleiko died on 15 March 2026, at the Institute of General and Emergency Surgery in Kharkiv.

Poltava oblast

During the night of 24 March, russian forces attacked Poltava by missiles and drones. Residential buildings, a hotel, a private clinic, a dental clinic and industrial facilities were damaged. Fires broke out. As a result of the attack, 2 people were killed and 12 injured, including a child in intensive care.

In Shcherbani community, a woman was injured due to a UAV strike. One house was destroyed and 4 damaged, with windows, doors, roofs and fences affected.

In Poltava, memorial ceremonies were held for 2 defenders: Senior Soldier Anton Volichenko and Soldier Eduard Honchar.

Anton Volichenko was killed on 7 April 2024, in Donetsk oblast.

Eduard Honchar was killed on 16 March 2026, while carrying out a combat mission in Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, stated that air defence forces shot down 2 strike UAVs over Cherkasy oblast. During the day, 21 russian UAVs were neutralised within the oblast. There were no casualties or damage to infrastructure reported.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the State Emergency Service, on 23 March, a 56-year-old man died as a result of a fire that broke out in a house in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The cause of the fire is being established.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that russian forces struck one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia. A gas station caught fire, and a 50-year-old man was injured.

1 person was killed as a result of a massive combined drone and missile attack on Zaporizhzhia. 6 multi-apartment buildings, 2 private houses, a shop, non-residential buildings and an industrial infrastructure facility were damaged.

According to updated information, 12 people were injured in the attack on Zaporizhzhia. A 32-year-old man was killed. Among the injured are 3 women aged 31, 39 and 69, and 6 men aged between 48 and 65. The attack included a direct drone strike on a multi-apartment building.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 23 March, the Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled 18 russian attacks in Huliaipole region. Fighting took place near Olenokostiantynivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Varvarivka, Zelene, Sviatopetrivka and Myrne.

Ivan Fedorov, HeadoftheRMA, stated that on 24 March, russian forces carried out more than 800 strikes on 44 cities and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast, including 5 missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv RMA, said that during the night and morning of 24 March, russian forces carried out a massive missile and drone attack on Mykolaiv oblast. As of the morning, there were no reports of casualties or damage. Also, on 23 March, the enemy attacked Ochakiv community 5 times by FPV drones. There were no injuries reported.

Odesa oblast

Based on the information provided by Odesa RMA, during the night of 24 March, a machine gunner from a mobile fire group of a radio-technical brigade, Serhii, shot down 2 Shahed-type strike drones over Odesa oblast. He has now destroyed 7 aerial targets in total.

On the evening of 23 March, russian forces attacked transport and energy infrastructure facilities in Odesa oblast by ballistic missiles and strike drones. Prosecutors have launched a pre-trial investigation into war crimes.

Kherson oblast

According to Kherson RMA, at approximately 12:40pm, russian forces shelled Zelenivka. A 56-year-old man who was near a shop sustained a concussion, shrapnel wounds to the head and back, blast trauma and a closed head injury. He was taken to hospital in moderate condition.

At around 9:50am, russian forces attacked a man by a drone in Korabelnyi district of Kherson. A 72-year-old resident sustained a shrapnel wound to the face, a concussion, blast trauma and a closed head injury.

Since this morning, russian forces shelled Tsentralnyi district of Kherson by MLRS. At least 2 private houses and a garage were destroyed, and houses across an entire block were damaged. A man was killed under the rubble of one of the destroyed houses; his identity is being established. 2 others, a 64-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man , were injured and sustained concussions, blast trauma and closed head injuries. The woman was hospitalised in moderate condition, while the man received medical assistance on site.

Yesterday morning, russian forces shelled a residential building in Bilozirka. A 45-year-old woman sustained blast trauma and a concussion and was hospitalised.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA reported that an enemy UAV was spotted from the direction of Dubne towards Lutsk. There was no information about casualties or damage.

Zakarpattia oblast

Uzhhorod City Council reported that 9 internally displaced persons who lived in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, are participants in hostilities or persons with disabilities as a result of the war and are currently registered in Uzhhorod will receive housing vouchers.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, there was an attempt by the russian federation to strike an administrative building. There are damaged windows in the maternity hospital. There is also damage to windows in some houses. As a result of the enemy attack on the center of Ivano-Frankivsk, 2 people were killed. Lviv oblast

The enemy attacked Lviv oblast. The damage was caused to an architectural monument of national importance – the Bernardine Monastery Ensemble. It is located in the historical area of Lviv, an object that is included in the International List of Cultural Properties under Enhanced Protection. There are hits on critical infrastructure facilities in Komarnivska and Dobrosynsko-Maherivska communities. As a result of falling UAV debris, a private house caught fire in the village of Sernyki, Bibrska territorial community. As of now, there are 17 injured people in the city hospitals due to russian shelling. People with injuries of varying severity. Medics are providing the victims with all necessary assistance.

Rivne oblast

Rivne oblast was attacked by the enemy. The Air Defense Forces shot down enemy air targets. According to preliminary information, people and infrastructure were not harmed.

Ternopil oblast

At 4:51pm, an enemy drone hit an administrative building on Stepan Bandera Avenue. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service are working at the scene. There is currently no information about casualties. The blast wave damaged windows in the building of the pediatric department of city hospital №2. The children were in shelters. There were no casualties among the children or hospital staff.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

During the day, the enemy attacked Khmelnytskyi oblast. The Air Defense Forces were operating within the oblast – there were downings. As a result, power outages were recorded. In Shepetivskyi region, a man was injured as a result of the attack. He has a concussion and a brain contusion. The victim was hospitalized, and medics are providing the necessary assistance. Power outages were recorded. Power engineers are already working to restore electricity.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting of representatives with representatives of associations of families of missing persons and prisoners of war of Bukovina defenders held at the Center for Assistance to the Rescued. The discussion of problematic issues was also joined by Iryna Isopenko, representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Сommissioner for Human Rights, and members of the regional working group of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War in Chernivtsi oblast.

The German Embassy in Ukraine reported that Germany will finance the production of 15,000 Ukrainian STRILA interceptor drones. Drones will be sent to units of the National Guard of Ukraine. It is noted that the STRILA interceptor drone is specially designed to destroy fast and maneuvering air targets.

The russian ambassador to Moldova was handed a bottle of contaminated water from the Dniester River. The river was contaminated as a result of russian shelling, after which an ecological alert was declared in Moldova. The Moldovan Foreign Ministry handed ozerov, russian ambassador, a note of protest over the russian shelling, which caused the leakage of oil products into the Dniester. It added that the Dniester provides water to about 80% of the country’s population and 98% of Chisinau’s residents.
