It has been the 879th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The situation on the frontline is characterised by the enemy’s activity towards Kharkiv, Kupiansk and Pokrovsk, where it is using all available forces and means to achieve its goals, but our invincible defenders are standing in the way of the occupiers’ plans, inflicting irreparable losses on the enemy in extremely difficult conditions with their professional actions.

In total, 58 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day.

Today, a number of settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts suffered from enemy terrorist attacks. These include Uhrody, Obiednane, Turia, Oleksandrivka, Oleksiivka, Myropillia, Liskivshchyna, Stepok and Mohrytsia.

At the same time, Kharkiv oblast is under constant attack from enemy aircraft.  Today terrorists have already dropped 7 UAVs. They targeted Vovchansk, Lyptsi, Borshchova and Hlyboke, and also struck Dekhtiarne with unguided aerial missiles.

Today, towards Kharkiv, russian invaders attempted seven times to storm the defensive lines of Ukrainian troops near Hlyboke and Vovchansk. All enemy attacks were repelled by the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy actively attacked the positions of our troops seven times near Synkivka, Stelmakhivka, Berestove and Andriivka, two firefights are still ongoing. Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold steadfastly the defence.

Towards Lyman, the invading army launched five attacks on Ukrainian positions near Makiivka and Terny. Three engagements ended without success for the enemy, two more are ongoing.

Towards Siversk, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks by the occupying army near Verkhnokamianske and Vyimka.

Towards Kramatorsk, the invaders made two assaults on the positions of our troops near Andriivka. The battle is currently underway. The situation is under control.

Towards Toretsk, the number of enemy attacks increased to four. The enemy has concentrated its efforts near Pivnichne, Zalizne and Niu-York, where four firefights took place, three enemy attacks are still ongoing. The invaders are actively using aviation in this area, including Pivnichne, Niu-York and Toretsk, and have already dropped 13 UAVs.

Towards Pokrovsk, there was the largest number of firefights. Since the beginning of the day, the invaders, with the support of aviation, have made 23 attempts to push our defenders from their positions near Prohres, Novoselivka Persha, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove and Umanske. The defence forces are holding back the onslaught and have repelled sixteen enemy attacks so far, with seven attacks still ongoing. The enemy’s losses are being clarified.

Towards Kurakhove, fighting continues near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Karlivka. According to the updated information, four attacks of the occupation army were repelled in this area today.

Towards Vremivka, the enemy is actively using aviation, attacking Vuhledar, Katerynivka, Urozhaine and Staromaiorske.

Towards Orikhiv, the invaders made three unsuccessful attempts to attack our units near Robotyne and towards Novodanylivka. The terrorist army also dropped two guided aerial bombs on Stepnohirsk.

Towards Kherson, the enemy conducted air strikes, dropping guided aerial bombs near Tiahynyka, Tomaryne and Burhunka.


Dmytro Lubinets, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, reported that Ukraine has returned 758 children from russia and the TOT. He noted that this is a small number compared to the almost 20,000 Ukrainian children abducted by russia.

The Ministry of Defence informed that four levels of first aid for the military have been approved. The document defines 4 levels of first aid and establishes a list of skills and interventions used by the military to help victims.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The Kharkiv operational-tactical group reported that in downtown and eastern Vovchansk, which are temporarily occupied after russia’s attempted offensive in the north of Kharkiv oblast, the invaders continue to regroup, and new assault groups are being brought to Hlyboke of Lyptsi community.

On 20 July, towards Kharkiv russia’s irreversible and sanitary losses amounted to 113 people. The russians also lost equipment and shelters.

At 7:05am, Dovshyk village of Zolochiv community, Bohodukhiv region, suffered. A car was on fire as a result of shelling by an FPV drone.

At 4:30am, Bilyi Kolodiaz village of Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region, was targeted. A private house was destroyed as a result of the shelling of S-300. A 69-year-old man was injured and a 54-year-old man suffered an acute stress reaction.

Yesterday at 10:10pm, Kozacha Lopan village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region, was damaged. A 64-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman were injured as a result of the shelling.

Also at 10:10pm, Kupiansk were under attack. A private house was damaged as a result of hostile shelling.

At 8:56pm, Pechenihy village of Chuhuiv region was shelled. As a result of the shelling of a private enterprise with Iskander, the structural elements of the warehouse building burned. A 54-year-old woman was injured.

At 5:55pm, Cherkaski Tyshky village of Tsyrkuny community, Kharkiv region, was damaged. As a result of the hostile shelling, grass burned on the area of 2000m2.

At 3:40pm, Ivashky village, Bohodukhiv region, was shelled. Two men of 48 and 33 years old and two women of 62 and 44 years old were injured as a result of the hit of an FPV drone to the shop.

At 2:20pm, there was a shelling of Vasyshcheve village, Bezliudivka commumity, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, an outbuilding burned and a private house was damaged.

At 2:10pm, Bilyi Kolodiaz village, Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region, was hit. An FPV drone hit a private house. A 57-year-old woman was injured.

At 10:10am, Kozacha Lopan village, Derhachi community, Kharkiv region, was attacked. 5 private households were damaged as a result of the shelling by the UAV.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy continued active operations with a total of seven combat engagements taking place. The fighting took place near Vovchansk and Hlyboke.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 13 times. The defence forces repelled the assaults near seven different settlements. The invaders made the main efforts near Berestove and Stelmakhivka.

Donetsk oblast

Defence Forces repelled more than fifty attacks and attempts to advance towards Pokrovsk, while the russian army concentrated its efforts near Novooleksandrivka and Prohres, where it conducted 16 and 17 attacks respectively.

As the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning report, on 20 July, the activity of the russian army increased along almost the entire frontline, with 172 recorded engagements. Of these, 119 attempts to storm and attack were repelled by the Ukrainian military at the frontline in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Spokeswoman of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office and Serhii Horbunov, Head of Kostiantynivka CMA, informed that on 21 July, five people were injured as a result of shelling of Kostiantynivka, Toretsk, Pivnichne and Hrodivka.

84 residents, including 29 children and 6 people with disabilities, were evacuated to communities in Volyn oblast today.

The operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of 21 July is as follows:

Pokrovsk region. The private sector and the territory of an agricultural enterprise were shelled in Kurakhove, and the industrial zone in Vovchenka. In Selydove, a person was injured, an enterprise and a car damaged. In Pokrovsk community, 30 private houses, 7 apartment buildings, 2 administrative buildings, 2 industrial buildings, a non-residential building and 17 cars were damaged.

Kramatorsk region. In Lyman, a person was injured, an administrative building, 2 enterprises and an infrastructure facility damaged. In Yampil, a person was injured, 3 houses, 2 outbuildings and a garage destroyed. In Illinivka community, 8 objects were damaged: 4 in Oleksandr-Kalynove and 4 in Zoria. A house was damaged in Kostiantynivka.

Bakhmut region. In Chasiv Yar community, 2 people were injured, 6 private houses, 2 apartment blocks and a non-residential building damaged. In Toretsk, 2 people were injured, 11 houses, an administrative building and an infrastructure facility damaged.

In total, russians fired 48 times at settlements in Donetsk oblast over the day.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday russians injured 8 civilians of Donetsk oblast.

Luhansk oblast

Russians do not decrease shelling of the village of Nevske, and new destructions occur daily. They struck the village with MRLS Grad three times, used cannon artillery about 20 times, and used drones 40 times over the past day. A private house was struck and it burned to the ground. There were no casualties.

Makiivka is also affected by the enemy’s artillery and UAVs. Near these settlements, the russian army tried to attack positions of the AFU at least 7 times. The occupiers also tried to break through our defences near Stelmakhivka and in Bilohorivka.

The number of migrants in the so-called “luhansk people’s republic” is growing: they expect to get nationalised housing. Over seven thousand people have registered in the last two months. These are representatives of remote regions of russia and citizens of Central Asia who have not succeeded in russia. Most of them come with their families. 

According to Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the occupation authorities of Luhansk oblast were given the task to organise accountable volunteer organisations in every city and regional centre. That is, to organise a volunteer movement that will voluntarily carry out orders from above. Such centres have already been established in Alchevsk, Kadiivka and Dovzhansk. In other settlements of the so-called “lpr”, it was ordered to organise a movement of “goodwill” volunteers by 1 August.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, informed that at night, Kyiv oblast was attacked by enemy drones. The Air Defence Forces were operating in the oblast – all enemy targets were shot down. There were no hits to residential or critical infrastructure. 

As a result of the falling debris, minor damage was recorded to the facade and windows of two private houses and a car, and a grass floor caught fire, which was promptly extinguished.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported that Kyiv hosted Defence Vision Day, an event that brought together the best projects for the army based on virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) technologies. Out of 55 submitted projects for training and simulations, 24 were selected for presentation. These include firing simulators for air defense, first aid training, and drone control.

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy announced that the first burials at the National Military Memorial Cemetery, which is being created near Kyiv, may take place in autumn. Recently, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading and in general a law on the implementation of a military funeral ritual during an honorary burial at the National Military Memorial Cemetery.

Representatives of the South Korean corporation KIND, which is helping to develop a transport masterplan for Kyiv oblast, visited the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital that was attacked by russians. They inspected the destruction caused by the missile strike and handed over financial aid to the hospital.

Three families whose homes were destroyed at the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion will receive new homes. The houses will be built using 3D technology at the charity’s expense at the request of Kyiv Regional Military Administration. These families are from the most damaged communities in Kyiv Oblast – Irpin, Kukhari and Mykhailivka villages.

In Kyiv oblast, in the town of Hansen, where families who lost their homes due to the russian invasion live, Club House Hansen Village, a health and family recreation complex, was opened. It includes a swimming pool, kindergarten, cinema, gym, and beauty salon. It also employs psychologists and social workers to help residents cope with trauma and adapt to new conditions

The regional military administration informed that Kyiv oblast has one of the largest networks of industrial parks in Ukraine. Despite the war, 12 industrial parks have already been registered in the oblast. This week, several more offices of large well-known companies were opened in Vyshhorod, Bucha and Fastiv region.

According to Kyiv City Military Administration, the capital’s zoo has set up summer grounds for largest tortoises. It will also house a group of spurred tortoises rescued from the war-affected oblasts. 

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyroblenerho reported that starting 22 July, the power outage schedules introduced by the National Energy Company Ukrenerho will continue to apply in Zhytomyr oblast, but there will be fewer power outages due to a reduction in the load on the power grid.

The Department of Education and Science of the RMA announced that starting on 28 August, more educational security officers who have completed their training will work in lyceums in Zhytomyr oblast. The oblast continues to implement a project aimed at creating a safe environment in secondary education institutions.

Sumy oblast

According to the Regional Military Administration report, in the morning of 21 July the enemy launched a missile and air strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Shostka region. All necessary services are working on the spot. The consequences of the enemy attack are being clarified.

At night and in the morning, the russians fired 20 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. A total of 44 explosions were recorded, including mortar and FPV drone attacks. Khotyn, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Esman and Druzhbivka communities were under hostile fire.

The RMA reported that on 20 July, the russian military fired 23 times at Sumy oblast. A total of 97 explosions were recorded. 8 border communities were shelled.

Yunakivska community: shelling with the use of FPV drones (3 explosions).

Esman community: mortar shelling (5 explosions) and shelling with the use of FPV drones (7 explosions) were recorded.

Miropillia community: the russian army used mortars (24 explosions).

Khotyn community: 3 mines were dropped by the russian army on the territory of the community. There were also launches of unguided aerial missiles (6 explosions).

Hlukhiv community: there was a shelling from MLRS (2 explosions).

Velyka Pysarivka community: artillery (4 explosions) and mortars (7 explosions) were used.

Krasnopillia community: shelling with the use of 1 FPV drone (1 explosion) and aircraft-type attack drones (5 explosions).

One person was injured as a result of shelling of Bilopillia community. 

The enemy fired from multiple rocket launchers – 30 explosions were recorded.

The regional SES informed that on 20 July, rescuers extinguished five fires in the residential sector and at infrastructure facilities caused by massive strikes from the territory of russia on the border settlements of Sumy oblast.

The police of Sumy oblast counted that on 20 July, enemy shelling in Sumy oblast damaged critical infrastructure facilities, 9 apartment buildings, 10 private households, a kindergarten, a hospital, administrative buildings, at least 5 outbuildings and 3 cars.

According to the Operation Command North report, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged in Shostka and Krasnopillia. The enemy attacked Krasnopillia with an FPV drone, and Shostka was shelled by russian military with missiles and Shahed drones.

The North OC also informed that In Bilopillia, the shelling damaged about 20 private houses, apartment buildings, a gas pipeline and a power line. In Bachevsk, a building of an educational institution, a private house and a power line were damaged. In Sukhodol, a building of an educational institution and a shop were damaged.

By the Ministry of Energy report, 23 settlements (7,200 consumers) are without electricity. In total, over 12,000 consumers in 95 settlements remain without power supply due to the hostilities as a result of russian shelling in Sumy oblast. 

Sumy RMA informs that in Sumy oblast, there is a proposition to rename 323 place names – streets, lanes, squares, squares and overpasses. In addition, a list of cultural heritage monuments of local significance has been agreed upon, for which the need to dismantle has been identified, as they contain symbols of russian imperial policy – there are 476 of them.

Chernihiv oblast

The SBGS reported that over the past 24 hours, russian troops fired on two border communities in Chernihiv oblast, a total of 23 explosions were recorded. Semenivka community: 20 mortar and cannon artillery attacks in the direction of Progress and Tymonovychi. Snovsk community: 3 attacks by FPV drones in the direction of Yeline.

On the night of 20 July, russians attacked an energy infrastructure facility in Nizhyn with Shahed drones. According to Chernihivoblenerho, as a result, about 9,500 consumers in Nizhyn were without electricity on 20 July. 

The Ministry of Energy announced that, as a result of the hostilities in Chernihiv oblast, 2,200 customers in 33 settlements are without electricity.

In Chernihiv oblast, psychologists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs held an event aimed at providing psychological support to wounded defenders. Specialists used special techniques to improve the psycho-emotional state of wounded defenders undergoing treatment.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that at night, the air defence forces destroyed four enemy Shahed drones over the oblast.. The enemy also attacked Nikopol with artillery, causing dry grass to catch fire and damaging solar panels.

The occupiers continue to terrorise the peaceful residents of Nikopol. Today, an 89-year-old woman was injured in Marhanets community. She was hospitalised in moderate condition. In total, there were more than a dozen attacks across the region. Also russian troops used artillery and kamikaze drones to hit the regional centre and Marhanets, Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivka and Myrove communities. Several fires occurred, burning dry grass and a utility building. A recreation centre, four private houses, two utility buildings, an infrastructure facility, power lines and a gas pipeline were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Over the week from July 15 to July 21, it is reported that 11 defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were killed.

Poltava oblast

Filip Pronin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, reported that in Poltava oblast, air defence forces were active at night. 

Artur Maliarenko from Kharkiv oblast was in russian captivity for about two years. He is currently recovering in Poltava oblast. He was captured in July 2022 when he was wounded while performing a combat mission in Kherson oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

Commander of the Air Force, Oleshchuk reported that at night, air defence systems were active in Cherkasy oblast. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

20 July, the occupiers carried out 441 strikes on 8 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 2 airstrikes on Novoandriivka. 186 UAVs of various modifications attacked Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, and Malynivka. 12 MLRS attacks targeted Robotyne, Huliaipole, and Novoandriivka. There were 241 artillery strikes on the territories of Prymorske, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Levadne. Ten reports of the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure were received.

Four fires broke out in settlements of Polohy and Vasylivka regions due to enemy shelling. Rescuers extinguished fires in 2 residential buildings and dry grass over a total area of 140 sq m in the village of Prymorske and in two apartments on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a multi-story building over a total area of 80 sq m in Stepnohirsk.

An 87-year-old woman received shrapnel wounds as a result of the shelling in one of the settlements of Polohy region. The medical team of the State Emergency Service provided first aid to the injured and transported her to a medical facility.

During the day, four fires broke out in settlements of the Polohy and Vasylivka regions due to enemy shelling. In the village of Prymorske, rescuers extinguished fires in 2 residential buildings and dry grass over a total area of 140 sq m. In Stepnohirsk, firefighters controlled fires in two apartments on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a multi-story building over a total area of 80 sq m.

It is reported that the occupiers made three unsuccessful attempts to attack Ukrainian units near Robotyne and in towards Novodanylivka. The terrorist army also dropped two guided aerial bombs on Stepnohirsk.

Servicemen of the 14th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles destroyed a russian anti-aircraft missile system on Zaporizhzhia front. According to South Operational Command, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a russian Buk air defense missile system launcher, version M1.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of 21 July, the Air Defense Forces destroyed a Shahed 131/136 UAV in Mykolaiv oblast.

In the evening of 20 July, the russians attacked Kutsurub community with an FPV kamikaze drone. Also, in the evening of 20 July and this morning, 21 July, the enemy carried out artillery shelling of the city of Ochakiv. Both shillings caused dry grass fires, which were promptly extinguished by firefighters. There were no casualties.

Yesterday, 20 July, at 20:30pm, Bashtanka region suffered a missile attack. The attack caused a fire in the warehouse of an agricultural enterprise and ignited dry grass. Additionally, the blast wave damaged private houses, and two people were injured.

On 21 July, another reminder action Don’t Be Silent! Captivity Kills! took place in Mykolaiv, aimed at supporting prisoners of war and missing defenders of Ukraine. Relatives, friends, and colleagues of the prisoners and missing soldiers from the Marine Corps, Azov Regiment and Air Assault Forces joined the event.

Odesa oblast

Last night, during russian air attack, units of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down an enemy kamikaze drone SHAHED-136. In total, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 39 Shahed UAVs that night.

As of 6 am on 21 July, there are no enemy ships in the Black Sea. Four enemy ships are in the Sea of Azov, and one enemy ship, which is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 8 missiles, is in the Mediterranean Sea.

During the past day, seven ships passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea and six ships into the Sea of Azov in the interests of the russian federation.

Kherson oblast

Today, russian military forces shelled residential areas in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. Four people were injured due to the shelling. A 65-year-old man who was on the street suffered an explosive injury and a thigh wound. Later, a 22-year-old and a 33-year-old sought help. They had explosive injuries and cuts on their legs and abdomen. The injured were hospitalized in the surgical department. Additionally, a 58-year-old Kherson resident received shrapnel wounds and a forearm fracture.

The enemy also attacked Bilozerka community. The russians dropped explosives from a drone on two civilians in Kizomys. The men, aged 23 and 38, received explosive injuries, shrapnel wounds to the chest, back, and legs.

This morning, russian occupiers attacked a resident of Novoberyslav with a kamikaze drone. The 48-year-old man was hospitalised in serious condition. He had explosive injuries, wounds to the abdomen, torso, legs, and arms, as well as rib and shoulder fractures.

Yesterday, russian troops shelled the right bank of Kherson oblast with artillery, mortars, tanks, and UAVs. Six people were injured as a result of russian aggression. The attacks affected Kherson, Antonivka, Stanislav, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Shyroka Balka, Kizomys, Veletenske, Bilozerka, Mykhailivka, Burhunka and Shliakhove. 17 private houses, 3 cars and a warehouse were damaged in these settlements.

The South Defense Forces eliminated 99 occupiers and 45 units of weapons and military equipment, including 2 armoured combat vehicles, 5 guns, 2 mortars, 26 vehicles, 5 operational-tactical level reconnaissance UAVs, 1 electronic warfare system, and 4 boats. They also destroyed 2 ammunition storage sites, 4 observation points, 1 UAV control point, and 3 firing positions.

A monument was unveiled near the village of Ivanivka to the reconnaissance soldiers of the 17th Separate Tank Brigade who were killed in July 2022. Soldiers Oleksandr Malyshev, Kostiantyn Donchenko, Ihor Yarovyi and Senior Sergeant Petro Fesechko voluntarily defended Ukraine from the beginning of the full-scale aggression. Their lives were cut short by an enemy shell during a combat mission near Ivanivka.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council reported that the community sent 40 8-inch FPV drones (20 daytime and 20 with a thermal imager) to the 100th Separate Mechanised Brigades in Avdiivka.

Creatively gifted children from Lutsk community, whose parents were killed in the war, visited Hungary on vacation, thanks to the invitation of the Society of Ukrainian Culture in Hungary. For a week, the children were in a camp on Lake Balaton among Ukrainians living in Hungary.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Regional Council held a meeting with representatives of the MedSpot CF (Hungary) and the Western Unity NGO (Ukraine). Hungarian medics and psychologists will examine children, women and elderly people affected by the war.

This week, the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center provided IDPs registered in Uzhgorod with 15 packages with necessary things for children under 1 year old, 50 bags with grocery sets and 50 packages with hygiene kits. During the week, volunteers gave out clothes, shoes, bed linen and dishes (2,200 items) from the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help e.V. and other benefactors.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that the community sent 15 laptops to the military.

Oksana Rubaniak, Commander of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, nicknamed Ksena, from Verkhovyna, was awarded with the Golden Cross medal by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation into Ukraine, Oksana was 19 years old.

Lviv oblast

11-year-old Alex, who lost his leg during shelling in Kharkiv oblast, underwent rehabilitation at Okhmatdyt and Superhumans Center. In January 2024, Alex and his cousin Alina were seriously injured. The boy said that he held his severed leg against his body so as not to bleed. Alex underwent many surgical interventions, first in Kharkiv, and then in Okhmatdyt in the department of orthopaedics and traumatology. In addition to operations, the boy underwent rehabilitation and attended classes with a physical therapist and a psychologist. After that, Alex underwent parallel rehabilitation at the Center for Children’s Medicine, the Okhmatdyt hospital and at the Superhumans Center, where he was fitted with a prosthesis.

Rivne oblast

The RMA reported that in Rivne oblast, 36 patients received medical assistance under the service package Dental prosthetics for certain categories of persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Ternopil oblast

In Ternopil, 9-year-old Milana Bohoiavlenska, IDP from Melitopol, is selling her paintings to raise funds for armoured blankets to the Ukrainian military. Now the girl paints pictures in various techniques and sells them in the city centre, collecting funds for armoured blankets to the 79th Brigade, in which a friend of their family is fighting.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Ivan Kozlov, senior soldier from Khmelnytskyi, was awarded with the II degree For Courage Order (posthumously).

Chernivtsi oblast

Border guards, from Bukovina, who performed combat tasks on the front line, returned home. They courageously and selflessly fought against the enemy and after a short rest they will go to combat positions again. Border guards received well-deserved awards for conscientious service and heroism.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

On 18 July, Great Britain hosted the IV Summit of the European Political Community. 47 heads of state and government took part in the event (27 member states of the European Union and 20 other countries of the continent). Key topics are protection of democracy, regulation of migration and improvement of cooperation in the energy sector. Specifically, they discussed further support to Ukraine, the supply of weapons, and cooperation in the field of energy.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of Spain. Politicians discussed further cooperation and supply of weapons to Ukraine.

Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, met with Kuninori Matsuda, Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine. Cooperation with regions and restoration of energy infrastructure were discussed.

Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industries, announced that Ukroboronprom opened the 1st foreign representative office in Washington. Its key task is to maximise the implementation of joint Ukrainian-American defence projects, interact with local businesses and government agencies and agree on the transfer of military technologies.

Gerald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior of France, announced that the country will not allow journalists, volunteers, stadium workers and members of sports delegations from the russian federation and belarus to the Olympics through potential spies.
