Ukraine’s Defense Forces Hold Back the Offensive of Russian Occupiers
The Defense Forces of Ukraine are taking necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory.
As of now, the total number of combat engagements stands at 64.
Ukrainian communities in the settlements of Tymonovychi, Khrinivka, and Prohres in the Chernihiv region; Stepok and Popivka in the Sumy region; and Vidrodzhenivske in the Kharkiv region have suffered from enemy artillery and mortar fire. The enemy also carried out airstrikes on the areas of Uhroidy, Myropillia, Turya, Mala Rybystia, and Petrushivka in the Sumy region.
Operational Frontlines
- Kharkiv direction: The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near Dvorichna once. The battle is still ongoing.
- Kupiansk direction: Russian occupiers launched an attack near Zahryzove.
- Lyman direction: The invading army carried out six attacks near Yampilivka and toward the settlement of Nove. One battle is still ongoing.
- Kramatorsk direction: The enemy attempted to advance towards Oleksandro-Shultyne but was repelled.
- Toretsk direction: Russian forces tried to break through Ukrainian defenses near Toretsk, Krymske, and Dyliivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy assaults, while three battles continue.
- Pokrovsk direction: Since the beginning of the day, Russian invaders have attempted 29 attacks to push Ukrainian forces from their positions in the settlements of Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Zvirove, Udachne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Oleksiivka, and Andriivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces have repelled 24 attacks, while five battles are still ongoing.
- Novopavlivka direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy assaults near Kostiantynopol.
- Huliaipole direction: The enemy is attacking Ukrainian positions near Novopil, with one ongoing battle.
- Orikhiv direction: Russian occupiers launched two attacks toward Stepove. Battles are ongoing. The enemy also carried out airstrikes on Yasna Poliana, Blakytnye, and Novoivanivka.
- Dnipro direction: The enemy has not conducted offensive actions but launched airstrikes on Burhunka and Vyryvka.
A military operation continues in the Kursk region. Ukrainian forces have repelled nine enemy attacks today, while four battles are still ongoing. Enemy aviation has carried out seven airstrikes, dropping eight guided aerial bombs (KAB).

Audit of U.S. Aid to Ukraine
Ukraine’s Accounting Chamber has conducted an audit of the $30 billion in U.S. aid provided from 2022 to 2025. The funds were primarily distributed through key agreements, including:
- The PEACE in Ukraine project, which secured $27.05 billion, including $12.7 billion allocated to ensure the stability of Ukraine’s Pension Fund payments.
- An additional development assistance agreement providing $1.7 billion.
- A Target Fund Multilateral Donor Cooperation Grant worth $1.1 billion.
Prisoner Exchange: 175 Defenders Return Home
Ukraine has successfully freed 175 defenders from Russian captivity. Additionally, 22 more defenders are returning home through non-exchange measures. Among them are severely wounded soldiers and those whom Russia persecuted for fabricated crimes. All returnees will receive immediate medical and psychological assistance.
This is one of the largest exchanges, including soldiers, sergeants, and officers from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Navy, the National Guard, the Territorial Defense Forces, and the Border Guard Service. These heroes defended Ukraine across multiple fronts, including Mariupol, Azovstal, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, as well as Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kursk regions.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
Yesterday, on the Kharkiv front, the enemy launched assaults on Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) positions near Vovchansk and in the direction of Mala Shapkivka, according to the Regional Military Administration (RMA). The Defense Forces successfully repelled 10 enemy attempts to advance. Kozacha Lopan was hit by an airstrike.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy conducted five offensive actions near Petropavlivka and Zahryzove. Ukrainian units stopped all enemy attacks.
Shelling
In the morning, Russian forces attacked Kurylivka in the Kupiansk district with a drone— a 54-year-old man sustained blast injuries, according to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office. He was taken to the hospital.
Around 09:00, Russian forces shelled Kupiansk with artillery, the RMA reported. A fire broke out, covering approximately 100 square meters. An 85-year-old woman was wounded in the second attack on Kupiansk that day and was hospitalized with blast injuries. The Russian army used guided aerial bombs (KAB), striking the city around 15:00.
At 16:50, Russian forces shelled the Kupiansk district, Kindrashivka community, targeting the village of Kindrashivka. On the Kupiansk-Kindrashivka highway, an enemy FPV drone hit a service vehicle belonging to a civilian utility company. A 45-year-old woman was killed, and four other people were wounded.
At 13:15, Russian forces shelled the Kupiansk district, Velykyi Burluk community, hitting the village of Shypuvate. Preliminary reports indicate that multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) were used. A private house was hit, damaging a neighboring home and power lines. A civilian enterprise’s warehouse, two cars, and three tractors were also damaged.
At 07:00, Russian forces shelled the Kupiansk district, Velykyi Burluk community, striking the village of Stetskivka. Preliminary reports suggest an FPV drone was used, damaging a farm building.
Other News
Today, another 197 Ukrainian defenders returned home. Among those freed from Russian captivity were four residents of the Kharkiv region: two from the Kharkiv district, one from the Chuhuiv district, and one from the Lozova district.
Due to intensified evacuation efforts from the Kupiansk and Borova directions, 25 people were evacuated over the past day.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
The Defense Forces repelled 60 Russian attacks on the Pokrovsk and Toretsk fronts in the past day, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
On the Toretsk front, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions 21 times near Ozaryanivka, Druzhba, and Toretsk.
On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defenders halted 39 Russian assaults in the areas of Oleksandropil, Zelene Pole, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Kotlyne, Preobrazhenka, Kotlyarivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Andriivka, and towards Oleksiivka.
On the Novopavlivka front, Ukrainian forces repelled nine attacks near Kostyantynopil.
On the Siversk front, the Defense Forces stopped an enemy military convoy using FPV drones and artillery, according to the “Khortytsia” Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops. Russian forces had deployed a convoy of armored vehicles to transport personnel to forward positions.
Agents of the “ATESH” resistance movement reported that they set fire to a Russian military vehicle in Donetsk. The vehicle was equipped with a mobile electronic warfare (EW) system, which was completely destroyed.
Shelling
One person was killed and two others wounded in a Russian attack on Kostyantynivka. Russian forces struck using a Smerch multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), damaging seven private homes and a DTEK power line, according to Serhii Horbunov, head of the Military Administration.
Over the past day, police recorded 3,541 enemy strikes on frontline areas and residential sectors. Six settlements were affected: the cities of Kramatorsk, Lyman, Sloviansk, and the villages of Diliivka, Poltavka, and Stinky. A total of 47 civilian structures were damaged, including 39 residential buildings.

Frontline
Russian forces dropped an aerial bomb on Sloviansk, injuring three residents: a 58-year-old man and two women aged 59 and 71. A total of 21 private houses, six cars, a power line, and a gas pipeline were damaged.
Two bombs struck the outskirts of Kramatorsk, but no casualties or damage were reported.
In Lyman, a Russian Molniya-2 UAV damaged a two-story residential building.
In Poltavka, the enemy struck with a FAB-250 bomb, damaging nine private houses. In Stinky, eight houses were damaged.
Other News
14 regions of Ukraine are involved in constructing fortifications in Donetsk region, according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Regional Military Administration. The State Emergency Service has provided over 40 units of equipment for fortification construction. In total, more than 150 units of equipment are engaged, and over a thousand civilians are assisting the military.
Two employees of the Kalinin Correctional Colony in occupied Horlivka have been charged in absentia with cruel treatment of civilians. They are suspected of beating a law enforcement officer from Mariupol, according to the Donetsk regional police.
Luhansk oblast
Frontline
The enemy continues ground pressure on the Lyman sector, according to Artem Lysohor, head of the Regional Military Administration. Yesterday, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions near Nadiia in the Kolomyichykha community. In an attempt to strike Ukrainian troops in their shelters, the invaders used barrel artillery 16 times and deployed 243 drones against Ukrainian defenses.
Occupied Territories
The occupiers can afford to build only one out of six landfills that are supposedly “about to be constructed” in the so-called “LNR” whenever they are mentioned again. For the remaining five, authorities were told to seek off-budget financing. The Sievierodonetsk project was completely halted due to security concerns. However, funds have already been allocated for project development across all six sites. An environmental assessment of the project documentation is currently underway, expected to be completed in May, after which decisions on feasibility and construction phases will be made.
Humanitarian Crisis
More than 260,000 residents in occupied towns of Luhansk region (seized in 2014) have been left without drinking water due to an accident at a water pumping station near Alchevsk. Water supply has been cut off in Slovianoserbsk, Perevalsk, Alchevsk, Kadiivka, Irmine, Almazna, Brianka, and surrounding villages.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The regional police reported that on the night of 19 March, two people were injured in an attack by russian drones in Kyiv oblast. Private houses, townhouses and cars were damaged.
According to Kyiv Regional Military Administration, 20 two-storey buildings, 15 private houses and 19 cars were damaged in the Bucha district. Two buildings and the summer terrace of a restaurant were also damaged. Another building was damaged in Boryspil district.
Mykola Kalashnyk, the head of the RMA, informed that a 54-year-old French citizen was injured in the attack and taken to a local hospital. A 43-year-old woman suffered a situational neurotic reaction.
As of the morning, several grass fires were recorded in the oblast – in Obukhiv, Boryspil, Fastiv and Bucha districts. All fires were extinguished by rescuers.
The KCMA reported that 45 russian drones were spotted around Kyiv overnight, 19 of which were destroyed by air defences. The rest were locally lost or left the airspace. The air alert in the capital on the evening of 18 March and on the night of 19 March lasted for 5 hours and 52 minutes.

The Mobile Rescue Centre of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that in Bucha district, after a nighttime russian attack, local residents found the wreckage of a russian drone in their yard. Experts determined that these were the remains of a Geranium-2 unmanned aerial vehicle.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that since the beginning of 2025, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and oblast have inspected more than 37 hectares of land and seized 166 pieces of munitions. In total, since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion, sappers have defused more than 20,000 explosive devices in Kyiv and oblast as well as inspected the territory and water area of more than 4,000 hectares.
Zhytomyr oblast
Zhytomyr Regional State Administration announced that in Malyn, thanks to cooperation with the European Investment Bank and partners from Estonia, three large-scale projects are being implemented to restore facilities damaged by russian shelling. Comprehensive overhauls are underway at two lyceums in the city, and the Malyn Children’s Art School is undergoing complete reconstruction and modernisation.
Veterans of Zhytomyr oblast received UAH 34 million to develop their own businesses through the government grant programme Own Business. The programme was introduced by the Government after the start of the full-scale invasion to support entrepreneurs and veterans. Since then, 72 defenders have received positive decisions on microgrants, and 70 of them have already received funding.
On 18 March, a public space called Gurt Nome was opened in Zhytomyr on the premises of the Zhytomyr Medical Institute dormitory. The space was created to support internally displaced persons living in the institute’s dormitory. Currently, 39 IDPs are staying there.
The Zviahel community and the Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Korolev are launching strategic cooperation aimed at improving the country’s defence capability, military and patriotic education of young people and training of future defenders of Ukraine. The official Memorandum was signed by the Mayor of Zviahel and the Head of the Institute.
Sumy oblast
On 19 March the Centre for Countering Disinformation, citing the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the information about the downing of an F-16 aircraft over Sumy oblast is fake russian propaganda.
Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the territory of Ivot Starostyn Region in Shostka community. According to Mykola Noha, Head of Shostka Community, russian forces used a Lancet drone in the attack. As a result, a production facility and a vehicle were damaged. Emergency rescue services are working at the site of the strike. Preliminary reports indicate no injuries or fatalities.
The Regional Military Administration informed that in the night of 19 March, seven russian drones attacked Krasnopillia hospital in Sumy oblast. At the time of the strike, patients and staff were in a shelter. Efforts to address the aftermath are ongoing. Preliminary reports indicate no injuries or fatalities. The hospital suffered significant damage due to the russian attack. A State Emergency Service vehicle was also damaged. Staff and patients, including those with limited mobility, were evacuated.
According to the State Emergency Service, during the rescue operation at Krasnopillia hospital, Russian forces carried out five additional strikes. As a result of the attack, a shelter was partially destroyed, trapping 22 patients, including 7 with limited mobility. Rescuers managed to free everyone.

The Regional Military Administration reported that around 11:20pm, the russian army shelled Ugroiidy in Krasnopillia community. As a result of the attack, a 29-year-old man was killed, and three others were injured. The shelling destroyed a two-story apartment building and damaged a low-pressure gas pipeline.
Late in the evening of 18 March, russian forces attacked a hospital in Sumy. Rescuers promptly extinguished identified fire outbreaks. The blast wave also damaged the premises of a children’s medical facility. According to the State Emergency Service, 147 patients were evacuated, including 9 with limited mobility.
Overall, during the night and morning, russian forces carried out 36 shellings of border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast. A total of 51 strikes from various types of weapons were recorded. The Sumy, Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, and Bilopillia communities came under fire.
On 19 March, in the skies over Sumy oblast, regional air defence units destroyed 10 enemy Shahed-type UAVs.
Krasnopil settlement council has urged residents of 19 settlements to relocate to safer places. This represents nearly half of the villages and settlements in the community.
Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that in the evening of 18 March, a drone strike occurred in one of the districts of Sumy. The drone landed on a residential plot in Baranivka area. No casualties were reported.
Throughout 18 March, russian forces carried out 71 shellings in Sumy oblast, with a total of 140 strikes recorded. The enemy used mortars (20 explosions), artillery (19 explosions), MLRS (4 explosions), self-propelled artillery (31 explosions), AGS (15 explosions), conducted missile strikes (5 explosions), attacked by loitering munitions (1 explosion), UAVs (3 explosions), kamikaze drones (4 explosions), FPV-drones (9 explosions), launched GABs (19 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (8 explosions).
According to Sumy Regional Military Administration, on 18 March, nine communities came under enemy fire: Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, Shostka, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorodske. As a result of the shelling, a non-residential building was damaged in Krasnopillia community, and a private house caught fire in Seredyna-Buda community.

The Regional Military Administration announced that the defenders of Sumy oblast have received ground robotic systems and FPV-drones for carrying out combat tasks. They noted that the robotic system ‘Liut’ is a domestic innovation developed by Ukrainian scientists. It has already been tested in real combat conditions and can be used for observation, reconnaissance, and providing fire support to units.
Roman Andriychenko, the defender of Mariupol, was released from captivity on 30 December 2024. According to the Konotop City Council, nearly three months later, he returned to his hometown. On 18 March, the residents of Konotop welcomed Roman near Shevchenko monument. He was awarded the title ‘Honoured Citizen of the City of Konotop.’
Oleksii Romanko, Head of Sumy Regional Council, said that among the Ukrainian soldiers released from captivity on 19 March was a fighter from Sobycheve village in Shostka community.
Chernihiv oblast
The Department of Civil Protection and Defence Work of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration reported that on 18 March, russian UAVs exploded in Novhorod-Siverskyi, Koriukivka, and Chernihiv regions.
In Novhorod-Siverskyi region, a non-residential building was damaged as a result of the explosion of a ‘Molniya’ UAV.”
In Chernihiv region, a fire broke out, and two hangars were destroyed as a result of the explosion of a ‘Geran-2’ UAV.”
In Koriukivka region, a fire broke out in a warehouse due to the impact of two ‘Geran-2’ UAVs. The fire damaged three pieces of agricultural machinery. The blast wave also damaged another warehouse, a grain storage building, and a pallet production workshop.

Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that throughout 18 March, russian forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (44 explosions), barrel artillery shelling (22 explosions), FPV-drone strikes (20 explosions), a guided aerial bomb strike (1 explosion), and unguided aerial rocket strikes (12 explosions). Explosive devices were also dropped from UAVs (20 explosions). Explosions were reported towards 14 villages and the town of Semenivka.
In Semenivka, a local resident suffered a concussion as a result of strikes by aircraft-type FPV-drones. Additionally, a guided aerial bomb strike in the town damaged residential houses.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, announced that in the border Koriukivka Regional Hospital, a shelter designed to accommodate 500 people has been renovated. The ‘underground hospital’ includes an operating room, a resuscitation ward, and all necessary medical equipment. The space allows both patients and medical staff to remain safe during periods of alarm.”
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
The enemy attacked the oblast with drones. Fires occurred in Dnipro and Pavlohrad region. An infrastructure facility was damaged. In the evening and into the morning, the enemy continued to attack Nikopol region. The occupiers attacked the district centre and the Marhanets community with drones. In the latter, a drone dropped ammunition on a private house, an outbuilding and a car. According to updated information, 10 private houses, 5 outbuildings, a shed and a power line were damaged in Nikopol as a result of the evening artillery shelling.
The Air armed forces were also operating in the area. The defenders of the skies from the Vostok Air Force destroyed 8 enemy UAVs.
In the late afternoon, the occupiers fired a missile at the Kamianske region. Four people were wounded, men aged 20, 38, 55 and 44 were hospitalised in moderate condition. A transport company was damaged. The enemy struck Nikopol region with artillery and drones for more than a dozen times. They targeted the district centre, Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities. A transport company was damaged. There were no casualties.
Vinnytsia oblast
It became known that seven defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were killed. In particular, Andriy Oliynyk, Viacheslav Volyansky, Oleksandr Kucher, Serhiy Arbuzov, Maksym Chykun, Taras Murashko and Oleksandr Kolbasov.
Kirovohrad oblast
The Air Armed forces were working over Kirovohrad oblast. One of the enemy’s drones was spotted on the territory of a private household in the Znamenskaya territorial community. There were no casualties or damage. Specialists are working at the site.
Andriy Malitsky, Head of Svitlovodsk community, reported that Svitlovodsk community received more than $600,000 from the International Finance Corporation to repair the third block of a dormitory for IDPs. It is planned to accommodate 143 people. To start the work, co-financing from the local budget is required in the amount of almost UAH 1.7 million. The decision is now up to the deputies, who have not yet approved the community budget.
Poltava oblast
The Poltava RMA, reported that during the night, the russian army attacked Poltava oblast with attack UAVs. In Myrhorod region, a warehouse of a company was damaged by the debris.
A memorial service for the fallen soldier Yuriy Marchenko will be held in Kremenchuk. The soldier died on 11 October 2024 while performing a combat mission.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, said that for more than five hours in a row, the region was on the alert. The Air Armed forces were working. The defenders destroyed 10 russian UAVs. There were no calls to emergency services about injuries or infrastructure damage. This was reported by the head of the JFO

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Today, 19 March, the russian army attacked Malokaterynivka and Bilenke. As a result of the shelling, an agricultural enterprise, a private house, and a children’s playground were damaged.
Yesterday, the occupiers launched 426 attacks on 10 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy carried out 5 airstrikes on Komyshuvakha, Shchaslyve, and Huliaipole. 232 UAVs of various modifications attacked Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. 12 MLRS attacks targeted Kamianske, Shcherbaky, and Mala Tokmachka. Additionally, 177 artillery strikes hit the territories of Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. There were six reports of damage to vehicles, apartments, and private houses.
As of 16:00 on 19 March, the enemy is attacking Ukrainian positions near Novopil towards Huliapole, with one ongoing battle. The occupiers launched two attacks near Stepove towards Orikhiv, and fighting is still ongoing. Yasna Poliana, Blakytne, and Novoivanivka were hit by aerial bombs (KAB strikes). On 18 March, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled three russian assaults towards Orikhiv.
The resistance movement “Yellow Ribbon” reported that in the temporarily occupied city of Enerhodar, men are being issued draft notices immediately after receiving russian passports. It was noted that since the beginning of 2025, such cases have been repeatedly recorded in service centers where documents are processed.
Mykolaiv oblast
Yesterday, 18 March, at 16:05, the enemy carried out an artillery strike on the waters of Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.
Interactive boards are being installed in Mykolaiv schools to display information about graduates who are serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine or died in the war. One such board was installed in Lyceum No. 55.
Odesa oblast
As of 6:00 am on 19 March, four enemy ships were present in the Mediterranean Sea, including three carriers of “Kalibr” cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 26 missiles.
Over the past day, two vessels passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea in the interest of russia, while five more ships entered the Sea of Azov.
A new boiler system was installed at Reni Central City Hospital with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Government of the Netherlands. This project aims to enhance the energy independence of medical facilities and create stable conditions for patient care. Shortly, new boiler systems will be installed in six more medical institutions in Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Bolhrad.
Thanks to the support of the State Agency for Strategic Reserves (RARS), Odesa oblast received humanitarian aid in the form of 50 kW power generators to ensure the uninterrupted operation of medical facilities in the villages of Stari Maiaky, Ovidiopil, and the city of Chornomorsk. These generators will help doctors save lives, provide quality medical care, and stay connected even in challenging conditions.
Kherson oblast
Around 5:00 pm, the occupiers shelled Dariivka with artillery. As a result of the attack, a 61-year-old woman suffered a blast injury and burns to her face, neck, arms, and legs.
At approximately 2:00 pm, russians shelled Zelenivka. A 54-year-old woman, who was outside at the time, was killed in the attack.
Around 1:00 pm, russian forces attacked a resident of Antonivka using a drone. The man sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his lower leg.
Around 11:00 am, russian forces shelled Kherson. One person was killed, and another was injured.
It was confirmed that volunteer Oleksandr Ivakhnenko was killed during today’s attack on Kherson. He was struck by russian shelling while helping to board up windows after previous attacks.
At approximately 10:30 am, russians attacked a resident of the village of Dudchany using a drone. The 42-year-old woman suffered a blast injury, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to her arms, legs, and back.
Yesterday, the enemy shelled Bilozerska, Kozatske, Shyroka Balka, Lvove, Olhivka, Mykolaivka, Burhunka, Odradokamianka, Stanislav, Havrylivka, Daryivka, Novoberyslav, Vyrivka, Burhunka, Antonivka, Inzhenerne, Beryslav, Mala Oleksandrivka, Zelenivka, Kizomys, Novooleksandrivka, Novoraisk, Poniativka, Tokarivka, Shylova Balka, and the city of Kherson. Police recorded damage to 35 structures, including four apartment buildings, 29 private homes, a medical facility, and a gas pipeline. Seven people were injured due to russian aggression.
An elderly couple was evacuated from Stanislav. The evacuation was carried out by local fire protection workers based on a plan developed by the Stanislav Military Administration.
Yesterday, the enemy attempted three unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian defensive positions in the Prydniprovskyi sector. Over the past day, russian losses amounted to 64 personnel, 11 artillery systems, 30 vehicles and armored units, 5 quad/motorcycles, 3 boats, and 1 electronic warfare system. Additionally, 94 shelters/dugouts, 5 observation posts, and 1 platoon command post were destroyed.

Volyn oblast
2 residents from Volyn oblast returned from russian captivity. Among released defenders are Roman Moiak from Volodymyr and Oleksandr Dmytruk from Kamen-Kashyrskyi region.
Zakarpattia oblast
Rehabilitation of military personnel is not only about physical recovery, but also about psychological adaptation, maintaining ties with comrades, and developing the veteran movement. This year, the RMA received 25 proposals from 24 organizations, 12 of which were related to supporting veterans and their family members.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Prykarpattia continues to accept children from frontline areas for rehabilitation. 44 children from Kherson oblast arrived the other day. They will be accepted by a sanatorium in Kosiv region. With the support of partners, interesting events, trips, meetings, and health procedures are planned for children.
Lviv oblast
Among the 175 of our people who were released from captivity are two defenders from Sokal – Bohdan Kishchuk and Vitalii Honewych. Bohdan was in captivity for over 3 years (he was captured on 7 March 2022). Vitalii was in captivity from 24 March 2024.
Rivne oblast
The RMA reported that among the Ukrainian servicemen released from captivity are servicemen from Rivne oblast.
Ternopil oblast
A modern Psychological Rehabilitation Center is planned to be created in Ternopil oblast. The project will be implemented on the basis of the Chervona Kalina educational and health complex of Horbachevskyi Ternopil National Medical University.
Ternopil community provided military personnel with one-time financial assistance for the purchase of equipment and technical means. In 2025, funds have already been provided to 1,006 defenders.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that 662 family members of the deceased will receive benefits for utility services.
Chernivtsi oblast
Chernivtsi community sent 2 drones (DJI Mavic) to the 424th Separate Rifle Battalion of the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade.

The number of Ukrainian refugees in the EU increased by more than 25,000 in a month. Most of them go to Germany. Leaders in the number of Ukrainian refugees remain Germany (1,170,250 people; 27.3% of the total number in the EU), Poland (993,015; 23.2%) and the Czech Republic (394,985; 9.2%). Compared to the end of December 2024, the total number of people under temporary protection in the EU at the end of January increased by 25,530 (+0.6%). During the month, another 8,800 people arrived in Germany, 6,360 in the Czech Republic and 3,050 in Spain.
