What happened in Ukraine today:

The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the advance of the russian occupiers. Terrorists continue to kill Ukrainians, destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with rocket, air and artillery strikes.

On 17 January, there were 97 combat engage=ments on the frontline.

The communities of Tymonovychi, Leonivka, Mkhy, Dibrova and Kliusy in Chernihiv oblast; Riasne and Tovstodubove in Sumy oblast were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk, and fighting is currently ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk, russian occupiers carried out four attacks near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Kruhliakivka, and two combat clashes are still ongoing.

Towards Lyman, the invading army carried out 11 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Kopanky, Tverdokhlibove, Makiivka and Terny. Five clashes are still ongoing.

Towards Siversk, the enemy attacked near Bilohorivka. The enemy was repulsed.

Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy is trying to advance in the vicinity of ​​Chasiv Yar and towards Stupochky and Bila Hora, eight out of 16 attacks were repelled by the Defense Forces units, and fighting continues.

Towards Toretsk, the enemy is trying to wedge into Ukrainian defenses in the vicinity of ​​Toretsk, Diliivka, Krymske and Shcherbinivka, five attacks are ongoing, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven assaults by the invaders.

Towards Pokrovsk, russian invaders made 41 attempts to push our defenders from the occupied positions in the areas of Zelene Pole, Vodiane Druhe, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Udachne, Uspenivka, Sribne, Dachne, Ulakly and Yantarne. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled 27 enemy attacks, 14 clashes are still ongoing.

Towards Kherson, once the enemy unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian defenders.

In Kursk oblast, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six enemy attacks, four more clashes are still ongoing.

There were no significant changes in other directions.

Serhii Lysak, head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, reports that rescue operations were completed in Kryvyi Rih after a russian missile strike on an educational institution and residential buildings. As a result of the strike, 4 people were killed and 9 more were injured to varying degrees.

Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said that this winter, russia has moved to a new level of attacks on the energy system, using ballistic and cluster munition weapons, which cause much greater damage.

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline

 The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that there is a battle going on near Vovchansk towards Kharkiv. According to its information, towards Lyman within Kharkiv oblast, the occupiers attacked near Kopanky.

There were four russian attacks towards Kupiansk, two of which are still ongoing. The General Staff says that the battles are near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Kruhliakivka.

The RMA reported that towards Kharkiv, the enemy did not conduct active operations.

The number of combat clashes towards Kupiansk reached eight. The defense forces repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the vicinity of Petropavlivka, Holubivka, Zahryzove and Pishchane.

Shelling

The RMA reported that the day before, at 20:57, the enemy attacked Kharkiv region, the city of Dergachi. As a result of the shooting down of 3 Shahed UAVs, a two-story production and warehouse building was damaged.

At 20:10, russians attacked Bohodukhiv region, Zolochiv community. As a result of the UAV hit, a car was on fire.

At 15:16, russians attacked the city of Kharkiv. As a result of the hit of the Molniya-1 UAV, 5 cars were damaged. Three men aged 44, 46, 48 were injured

At 12:40, russians attacked Bogodukhiv region, the village of Ivashki. As a result of the shelling, a private house was damaged.

At 10:20, russians attacked Kupiansk. The roof of a house was damaged as a result of shelling by an FPV drone.

Other

Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that an indictment for the murder of a forensic expert in Izyum against russian military man Akhmed Duduyev was submitted to the court. According to the investigation, the accused killed a 70-year-old forensic expert in May 2022, who lost his leg after an illness and was moving around on a prosthesis. The accused is wanted. For violating the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder, the occupier may face from 10 years to life imprisonment.

18 people were evacuated from Kupiansk and Borova directions.

A memorial plaque to Oleksii Ostapenko, who fell near Toretsk, was unveiled at Lyceum No. 34 in Kharkiv, the press service of the city council reported. Ostapenko studied at the institution from 1999 to 2007. The 31-year-old soldier with the call sign “Plastid” fell on August 3, 2024 during a combat mission, according to the Memorial platform. For his service, the soldier had a number of awards: in particular, the medals For Participation in an Anti-Terrorist Operation and Golden Cross.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

According to the General Staff, the defense forces repelled 53 attacks towards Pokrovsk. The most active russian troops are near the settlements of Zelene Pole, Yelizavetivka, Myroliubivka, Vodiane Druhe, Promin, Lysivka, Novyi Trud, Pokrovsk, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Slovianka, Petropavlivka, Andriivka, Ulakly, Kurakhove, Dachne and Yantarne.

Towards Novopavlivka, in the vicinity of the settlements of Konstantinopol, Velyka Novosilka and Vremivka, the russian military tried to break through the Ukrainian defense lines 11 times. According to Khortitsia Military Unit, in order to improve the tactical position in the vicinity of ​​Velyka Novosilka and Vremivka, the russian army attracted manpower to the battalion. Fierce fighting continues within the settlements.

Yevhenii “Advokat”, Commander of the LAC strike company of the 115th Motorized Rifle Brigade’s unmanned systems battalion, says that the russian military is trying to advance towards Lyman, but the Defense Forces are holding back the enemy. Russian units are using artillery, MLRSs, GABs, and Shahed drones — the latter are used along the front line and in communications.

Shelling

russian troops launched 3,100 enemy strikes on the front line and residential areas.

The enemy attacked six settlements: the cities of Kostiantynivka, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, the villages of Diliivka, Leontovychi, and Tikhonivka.

22 civilian objects were destroyed, including 19 residential buildings.

As a result of enemy strikes in Rodynske, two people were injured and 3 private houses were damaged.

russians dropped two FAB-250 aerial bombs on Kostiantynivka, damaging 6 private homes, power lines, and a gas pipeline.

The occupiers fired artillery on Myrnohrad, destroying a private house.

In Tikhonivka, as a result of a strike by a FAB-250 guided aerial bomb with an UMPK module, 3 houses and power lines were damaged.

In the village of Leontovychi, 6 private homes were destroyed.

Other

The founder of the Justice Initiative Foundation, writer, journalist and military officer Stanislav Aseiev from Donetsk oblast, who spent 31 months in the custody of militants of the “dpr” group, became the laureate of the international Freedom Award 2024 of the Danish Poul Lauritzen Foundation. This award is given in recognition of the outstanding contribution of human rights defenders to the protection of human rights in conditions of danger and risk and dedication to the values ​​of human rights and freedom.

The police officers evacuated elderly and disabled residents along with their pets – three dogs and a cat. One of the rescued needed immediate medical attention, the man could not move independently. Law enforcement officers took the patient to the hospital. Due to the proximity of the front, residents have to be evacuated under enemy targeted strikes. The Phoenix group of the State Emergency Service works together with the White Angel unit.

Oleksii Yukov, head of the ADVIS “Platsdarm” search detachment, says that the remains of russian army soldiers and a Ukrainian serviceman were found by searchers near the village of Mazanivka, Sviatohorsk community, Donetsk oblast. A total of ten people killed on the battlefield were found in this area. They presumably were killed during the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2022.

Luhansk oblast

The RMA reported that towards Siversk, the enemy tried to achieve success in Belohorivka. Towards Lyman, it attacked near Hrekivka and Makiivka. The Ukrainian military is holding the defense there. Yesterday, the enemy used 97 drones. Also, the positions of the Ukrainian Defenders were fired upon with artillery.

The Center of National Resistance reported that in Luhansk, two girls, 9 and 10 years old, fell under the wheels of a russian military vehicle.

In the so-called “lpr”, the price of divorce has increased almost eightfold since January 1. If last year, local residents paid only 650 rubles in state duty for the dissolution of marriage, now each party must pay five thousand rubles for the opportunity to divorce. The cost of changing the surname, first name or patronymic has also increased more than threefold – from 1,600 rubles to five thousand.

In Starobilsk, men are threatened with being arrested by the russian army when applying for a russian passport. That is why they decided to intensify mobilization measures there. Local residents receive summonses, of course without warning, along with a new passport.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

At night, due to the fall of drone debris in one of the settlements in the Bucha district, a child born in 2012 was injured. The boy is suspected of having a concussion and a laceration on his thigh. He is currently in the hospital, according to the regional military administration.

As a result of the enemy UAV attack, a fire broke out in a two-story café-shop building and an attached boiler house, which was promptly extinguished by State Emergency Service specialists. Debris also damaged a private house nearby, a car, and fences.

Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon arrived in Kyiv to participate in the ministerial meeting between Ukraine and Southeast Europe. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia. Participants of the meeting will discuss continued support for Ukraine’s recovery and finding solutions to achieve a just peace.

A delegation from Slovakia’s largest opposition party, Progressive Slovakia, led by its leader Michal Šimečka, also arrived in Kyiv. During a meeting with the party leader, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready to assist Slovakia in achieving energy stability.

On January 16, Kyiv was visited by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, and Dutch Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldkamp.

In Zdvyzhivka, a family medicine clinic reopened after major renovations, according to the Regional Military Administration. During the occupation of the Bucha community, the facility suffered significant damage, and all of its equipment was looted and destroyed by Russian forces. The comprehensive restoration of the medical facility was supported by the International Organization for Migration.

In Kyiv, near the Verkhovna Rada, another peaceful protest was held by relatives of prisoners of war. Among those present were families of soldiers held by Russia in terrible conditions in colonies in the Altai region. About a hundred people from different regions of Ukraine gathered, holding posters, photos of their captured relatives, and brigade flags.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr Regional Emergency Management Agency reported that according to preliminary estimates, the total amount of assistance from international partners that the communities of the oblast received from 11 countries of the world is over UAH 200m. These resources were directed to the restoration of infrastructure, providing communities with necessary transport, fuel and equipment, providing school supplies and modern technology and other projects important for the residents of the region.

On 16 January, a regional seminar was held in Zhytomyr on the topic: “Local energy planning: regional and local level”. The event was organized on behalf of the “Covenant of Mayors – East” Project together with the project “Promoting energy efficiency and implementing the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine” with the support of GIZ on behalf of the German government.

An informative meeting of rescuers and participants of one of the IT camps of the city of Berdychiv was held in Zhytomyr oblast. During the lesson, the SES specialists paid special attention to the actions to be taken in case of detection of explosive objects, and the children also learned which areas could be potentially dangerous. Using the mobile game “AGENT 112”, the participants consolidated the acquired knowledge.

Sumy oblast

The regional military administration reported that on 17 January, anti-aircraft guns shot down 5 enemy UAVs of “Shahed” type in the sky over Sumy Oblast. Since the beginning of 2025, 148 enemy drones have been destroyed by the region’s air defense units.

The night in Sumy Oblast passed without shelling.

On 16 January, russians carried out 80 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 122 explosions. According to the RMA, the attacks targeted 11 communities.

As a result of the shelling of Seredyna-Buda community by FPV-drones (2 explosions), three people were injured, an apartment building and a car were damaged. In addition, the enemy used mortars (2 explosions) and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (22 explosions).

The Velyka Pysarivka community was under mortar (13 explosions) and artillery fire (4 explosions), the enemy struck by FPV-drones (3 explosions) and GAB (1 explosion).

The russians dropped 13 mines on the territory of Krasnopillia community. In addition, they carried out strikes by FPV-drones (4 explosions) and GAB (3 explosions).

The enemy struck Myropillia community by mortars (3 explosions), dropped an explosive device from a UAV (1 explosion), and fired by MLRS (24 explosions). As a result of the UAV attack (1 explosion), a private residential building was partially destroyed.

The russian military carried out strikes by FPV-drones on Putyvl community (1 explosion) and Svesa (1 explosion).

The russians hit Yunakivka community by GABs (2 explosions).

Drops of explosive devices from UAVs were recorded in the territories of Shalyhyne (5 explosions), Bilopillia (8 explosions), Druzhbivka (3 explosions), and Esman (1 explosion) communities.

Sumy oblast police reported that in the border town of Seredyna-Buda, russian drones attacked a police car. The impact damaged the car and a nearby high-rise building. No law enforcement officers were injured.

Sumy oblast prosecutor’s office reported that on 16 January, a 40-year-old man was blown up by russian anti-personnel mine in  Oleksiivka village, Khotin community. The victim was assisted by a community police officer who was delivering humanitarian aid to local residents. The injured man was taken to the hospital.

The “White Angels” of Sumy Oblast evacuated a 12-year-old boy and his 49-year-old mother from Krasnopillia Region. This is one of the border areas that is in the epicenter of hostilities.  The regional police reported that the family is currently safe.

Head of the RMA Volodymyr Artyukh said that communities in Sumy oblast received cars from international partners and benefactors. Sumy and Shostka regions received a minibus each. Another unit of transport was transferred to the Department of Civil Protection of the Population for evacuation measures and restoration of infrastructure facilities after enemy attacks.

Chernihiv oblast

On 16 January russian army attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Snovsk, and Horodnia. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported a total of 44 explosions.  The enemy attacked by mortars (24 explosions), barrel artillery (6 explosions), and used UAVs (6 explosions) ans FPV-drones (8 explosions).

Three russian “shaheeds” attacked Stara Talalaivka village in Chernihiv oblast for half an hour on the evening of 15 January. They hit the territory of the local enterprise Agrofirma “Sylchenkove” and caused damage of at least UAH 40m. Two hangars with grain and agricultural machinery, as well as premises where spare parts with fuel and lubricants were stored, were damaged on the territory.

Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, said that in Chernihiv Oblast, the Humanitarian Mission “Proliska” provides social transportation along ten routes and covers 40 villages of Semenivka, Snovsk, Horodnia and Novhorod-Siverskyi communities. The organization also helps with the evacuation of residents of the border area, which is under shelling. Since 9 January, they have evacuated more than a hundred people, including 26 people with limited mobility by special medical transport.

Another 11,292 families from Novhorod-Siverskyi, Koriukivka, Horodnia, Snovsk and Semenivka communities will receive UAH 21,000. People will receive funds from the UNHCR to purchase solid fuel by the end of January.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that the occupiers attacked Nikopol region several times.  They attacked the region centre and Marhanets community with kamikaze drones. Two private houses and a shop were damaged.

 According to the updated information, 4 people were killed, 9 people injured and 7 people rescued. Psychological assistance was provided to 9 people. The buildings of the educational institution were partially destroyed and the assembly hall was damaged. Four multi-storey buildings, 17 private houses, and 11 cars were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

According to Vinnytsia City Council, soldiers of the 154th Brigade received assistance from Vinnytsia community. There are two quadcopters and heating equipment.  These are Mavic 3T, Mavic Pro, and more than 100 trench candles and 1,000 fire starters.

Poltava oblast

A wing of a russian missile signed by the military and painted with runes was handed over to Kremenchuk Military History Museum. This missile was flying towards the Dnipro River during the massive shelling of Ukraine on 29 December 2023.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, said that at night, defenders shot down a russian UAV in Cherkasy oblast. 

Defender Dmytro Moroz, who fell in the war, was paid tribute to in Cherkasy. He was injured during a shelling, and his injuries were incompatible with life. Dmytro was laid to rest on the day he would have turned 39.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The number of deaths from the russian strike on Zaporizhzhia on 8 January  increased to 14. Yesterday, a person who had been injured died in the hospital. Currently, 60 wounded people remain in medical facilities across the region.

Yesterday, the occupiers launched 515 strikes on 8 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. A total of 289 UAVs of various modifications attacked Mahdalynivka, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodarivka. 30 MLRS attacks targeted Novoandriivka, Novodarivka, Novodanylivka, and Mala Tokmachka. There were also 196 artillery strikes on Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodarivka. 38 reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure.

There were three enemy assaults towards Zaporizhzhia. The enemy continues to conduct engineering and aerial reconnaissance towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv.

The Center for National Resistance reported that the occupiers intensified checks and restricted the free movement of the residents in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast. Specifically, the russians increased the number of checkpoints in settlements along the line of combat contact. Additional russian national guard forces also arrived in the region to conduct selective inspections.

Representatives of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant again denied International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts access to the western part of the machine hall of Unit 2. Moreover, throughout the past week, IAEA experts reported hearing numerous explosions daily, including at close and medium distances from the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP. International experts emphasized that the overall situation at the front line of the conflict remains unstable.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of 17 January, air defense forces destroyed two 131/136 Shahed drones in Mykolaiv oblast.

Yesterday, 16 January, at 12:03, the enemy attacked Kutsurub community with a strike drone of an unidentified type, and at 14:20 with an FPV drone. Additionally, the russian army shelled the village of Dniprovske twice with artillery. As a result of the shelling, three residential buildings and farm structures were damaged. No casualties were reported.

Five Memory Avenues dedicated to fallen soldiers were inaugurated in Halytsynivka community over two days, 16 and 17 January. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 46 servicemen from the villages of the community have given their lives defending Ukraine.

Odesa oblast

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, an enemy drone struck an enterprise in Odesa oblast overnight.

As of 6 a.m. on 17 January, there were seven enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, including two carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a combined salvo of up to 22 missiles.

Dmytro Maslovskyi, a paratrooper from Odesa oblast who died in hand-to-hand combat with a russian soldier, was posthumously awarded the title Hero of Ukraine and the Golden Star Order. The awards were presented to the fallen soldier’s mother.

Kherson oblast

In the morning, russian forces attacked Antonivka with UAVs. As a result of one of the drone strikes, a man waiting at a public transport stop was killed.

Yesterday, russian forces targeted Kherson, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Stanislav, Tomyna Balka, Beryslav, Osokorivka, Novooleksandrivka, Chervonyi Maiak, Ukrainka, Burhunka, and Sukhanove. Damage was reported to 26 structures, including a multi-story building, 15 private houses, a bus, two scooters, one police service vehicle, and six civilian cars. Eight people were injured due to russian aggression.

Later, Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that a man injured during russian shelling in Stanislav around noon on 16 January required medical assistance. The 42-year-old local was diagnosed with an explosive injury and a concussion. A 62-year-old man injured by a russian drone attack in Kherson in the morning was hospitalized with an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to the head.

Two people injured on 14 January in russian shelling in Bilozerka sought medical care. A 70-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man sustained explosive injuries, concussions, and traumatic brain injuries; both were hospitalized.

It is reported that russian forces launched four assaults on Ukrainian positions in Dnipro river delta in Kherson oblast. The Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine neutralized 86 enemy personnel and destroyed 19 artillery systems and mortars, 24 vehicles, four tanks, eight Shahed-136 drones, seven boats, five motorcycles, two ATVs, five Starlink terminals, and two surveillance cameras, including the Murom-M system. They also struck nine enemy dugouts and living quarters, three observation posts, two UAV launch sites, one fuel storage site, and seven communication antennas.

The “Yellow Ribbon” resistance movement reports that russian forces replaced Ukrainian books in libraries in the temporarily occupied Henichesk region with military propaganda literature. russian-language books were stocked in libraries in Henichesk, Pavlivka, Sokolohorne, Novooleksiivka, and Pryvolne. According to activists, the occupiers spent nearly all the funds allocated for regional “development” on acquiring these books. Additionally, literature by foreign authors removed from local libraries was transferred to impoverished regions of russia, including Khabarovsk Krai and Buryatia.

Police evacuated two families, including six children, from dangerous frontline areas of Kherson oblast. A 40-year-old woman and her four sons (ages 4 to 15) were evacuated from Zelenivka. Another family was evacuated from frequently shelled Komyshany.

With support from the “Crimea National Welfare Fund,” Kherson Regional Emergency Medical Center received five modern ambulances. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, one driver and one doctor have been killed, 39 emergency medical specialists injured, and more than 20 service vehicles damaged in the region. The new ambulances will aid in continuing to save lives under these conditions.

The most vulnerable residents of Beryslav region received essential supplies from international organizations CARE and Aktion Deutschland Hilft. Each package contained LED lamps, portable gas stoves, thermoses, power banks, and candles. Assistance was provided to the elderly, people with disabilities, families with children, families of servicemembers, and internally displaced persons. Additionally, Beryslav community received five modern inverter generators through Power Up Ukraine and Svenskbyborna, which will stabilize electricity supply and ensure the continuous operation of essential infrastructure. The charitable organization “Step with Hope” delivered stoves to residents of Beryslav. They also provided a significant supply of canned vegetables to residents of Urozhaine, and quick-cook porridge kits to residents of Tomaryne and Shliakhove.

Volyn oblast

The Military Unit A4714 received 2 EcoFlow DELTA 2 charging stations and 2 Starlink satellite communication systems from Lutsk community.

Zakarpattia oblast

During the period from 1 January to 31 December, 2024, 161 unemployed IDPs underwent vocational training. In addition, 64 individuals received a training voucher.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk community sent FPV drones, a TV, a generator, Starlink and other necessary items to the 91st Separate Anti-Tank Battalion and the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade from budget funds.

Lviv oblast

The oblast sent 374 FPV drones and 2 Starlinks to the 68th Oleksa Dovbush Jaeger Brigade, the International Legion, the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo and other brigades thanks to the Birds of Victory project.

The RMA reported that the 103rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Lviv oblast replaced the soviet star with the Ukrainian coat of arms in one of communities in Sumy oblast.

In Peremyshliansk community, children organized over 50 nativity scenes, raising UAH 700,000. The funds were donated to FPV drones to the defense forces.

Rivne oblast

The 1st car as part of the veteran project #VMILODILO was transferred to Rivne oblast. It was received on an interest-free lease for 2 years by veteran Ihor Ryk. Last year, thanks to a state grant, he opened a hair salon. This year, he decided to expand the business. He plans to convert the received car into a hair salon on wheels. This will allow him to serve military personnel in medical facilities free of charge.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA held a meeting with a delegation from the TGM Kanis Turbinen German company, leading European manufacturer of energy equipment, including steam turbines. They discussed cooperation that will help strengthen the energy independence of the oblast.

The RMA met with representatives of the POLARIS program Support for Multilevel Governance in Ukraine, which, with the support of the Swedish government, promotes the development of multilevel governance. The key issue was bill №4298, which provides for the transformation of local administrations into prefectural bodies to increase transparency and legality in management.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, during an air alert signal, air defense forces shot down 3 enemy Shahed UAVs. The locations of the debris are being determined. There were no injuries, deaths, or property damage.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the Rokada CF, the manager and coordinator of the engineering direction of the Support to Host Communities: Creating Accessible Conditions for Evacuation of the Population project. They discussed creation of additional places for temporary residence of IDPs in Chernivtsi oblast.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

In 2024, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received weapons worth almost €538m thanks to the Danish model. Sources of funding were the governments of Denmark – €125m through the Danish National Ukraine Fund, Sweden – €20m, Iceland – €2.7m, and interest on frozen russian assets – €390m.

Ukraine will receive $500,000 from Britain and Switzerland for humanitarian demining in Kharkiv oblast. The project is designed to improve the efficiency of demining by automating data analysis and optimizing resources.
