At the same time, the occupiers are presenting the hike as part of a “planned indexation” of tariffs. Price increases are also expected for electricity, gas, heating, water supply, and sewage services. Tariff setting is not based on market conditions, but on the financial state of specific enterprises in order to formally display profitability.
The occupation administration also announced its intention to “revive” the destroyed industrial zone of Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk, and Rubizhne—the so-called “chemical triangle.” The first step is the launch of a brewery in Rubizhne. According to the occupiers, an investor has already been found, and the launch of the enterprise is planned for late 2025. Estimated production volume is over 200 tons of finished products per year.
However, distribution channels remain unclear, as retail alcohol sales are currently banned in Rubizhne and neighboring settlements.
