It has been the 807th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 


What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On 10 May, there were 91 tactical engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 6 missile and 67 air strikes, and 92 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group were found.

Towards Siversk, the russian army maintains its military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy conducts subversion, continues shelling of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. More than 10 settlements, specifically Karpovychi, Prohres (Chernihiv oblast), Chernatske, Yastrubshchyna, and Ulanove (Sumy oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Sloboda, the enemy carried out 5 attacks in the vicinities of Krasne, Morokhovets, Oliinykove, and Hatyshche (Kharkiv oblast). The russian army launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Hlyboke, Lukiantsi, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Vilcha, Lyptsi, Slobozhanske, Sosnovyi Bir, and Ukrainske (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks in the vicinities of Synkivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast), and Stelmakhivka (Luhansk oblast), where the enemy, using air attacks, attempted to improve its tactical position. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, specifically Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 6 attacks in the vicinities of Makiivka (Luhansk oblast), and Torske (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, specifically Nevske (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampolivka, and Torske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 17 attacks in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Verkhnokamianske, Rozdolivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, using air strikes, attempted to improve its tactical position. The russian army launched air strikes in the vicinities of Druzhba, and Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, specifically Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 attacks in the vicinities of Kalynove, Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, and Umanske (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, with air support, made attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions. The russians launched air strikes in the vicinities of Stara Mykolaivka, Novohrodivka, Novopokrovske, and Netailove (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20 settlements, specifically Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, Novopokrovske, and Umanske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Novopavlivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Krasnohorivka, southwest of Novomykhailivka, and Solodke (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders made 3 attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, specifically Krasnohorivka, Maksymiloanivka, and Heorhiivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Orikhiv, the enemy launched 8 assaults on Ukrainian defenders’ positions in the vicinities of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast) and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Approximately 20 settlements, specifically Bilohiria, Robotyne, and Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the enemy conducted no offensive. The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, specifically Krynky, Tyahynka, Kachkarivka, Kizomys, and Stanislav (Kherson oblast).

The Ukrainian Air Force and Rocket Forces launched strikes on 1 anti-aircraft missile system, 1 radar station, and 17 buildups of enemy troops.

Andrii Yusov, representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, says that more than 35,000 applications for the “I Want to Live” project have been received to date. These are mostly applications from active servicemen, 260 people have already used it. 

Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, reports that the Government has decided to allocate UAH 7 billion for the reconstruction of the Ukrainian energy system. These funds will be used to purchase equipment for the restoration of the high-voltage network, as well as for better synchronization of the energy systems of Ukraine and the EU.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The longest air raid alert for Kharkiv and the oblast during the war continues. It was announced at 9:03am, and as of 6:22pm, it has lasted more than 9 hours. According to the alert system, as of 10 May, air raid alarms sounded 4145 times in Kharkiv oblast. Kharkiv oblast ranks second among all oblasts of Ukraine in terms of the number of air alerts.

Andrii Kanashevych, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that as of 4:30pm, the situation in Kupiansk region remains stable.

The Ministry of Defence said that russians tried to break through the defence line in the north of Kharkiv oblast on 10 May at around 5am. As the night began, the invaders increased fire pressure on the front line of our defence with the support of artillery. At around 5am, the enemy attempted to break through our defence line under the cover of armoured vehicles. As of now, these attacks have been repelled but fighting of varying intensity continues. Reserve units have been deployed to strengthen defence in this area of the frontline.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv RMA, reported that the invaders intensified shelling in the northern direction. First of all, the enemy is attacking Vovchansk. Attacks from KABs, MRLs and artillery continued throughout the night. There were unsuccessful attempts by the subversive groups to break through the border. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are confidently holding their positions, not a single metre has been lost.

The enemy continues to shell civilians in Kharkiv oblast and has launched a new stage of offensive in the northern part. Combat brigades met the enemy with fire. Heavy fighting continues on the border of the oblast. Towards Kupiansk, 17 attacks were repelled. Enemy subversive reconnaissance groups can enter some of our territories, but are repelled by Ukrainian defenders straight away. There is no ground threat in Kharkiv and the enemy’s offensive potential is currently lacking.

Due to terrorist attacks on civilians in Vovchansk and Lyptsi, residents are being evacuated. So far, 449 locals have been evacuated from Chuhuiv region, 25 from Kharkiv region, 4 from Bohodukhiv region and 29 people have been evacuated by volunteers.

Stanislav, a soldier of the 95th separate air assault brigade, said that towards Lyman-Kupiansk, russian troops are attacking towards Terny and Nevske. According to him, the russian army has been trying to break through the Ukrainian defences for over a month to reach Lyman with a further strategic move to Sloviansk and Kupiansk, but they have failed.

At 9:45am, a private house was damaged by shelling in Buhaivka village of Vovchansk community.  There were no casualties.

At around 10am, the enemy shelled Vovchansk, injuring 2 civilians.

At 12:50pm, a 55-year-old civilian man was killed as a result of shelling in Cherkaski Tyshky village, Kharkiv region. 

At 1:22pm, Vovchansk was targeted. The invaders struck a private house, injuring a 60-year-old woman. At the same time, a civilian man was killed as a result of hostile shelling of a private household and two more were injured, one of them under the rubble of the house.

On 10 May at 3:20am, Kharkiv was under attack. As a result of hostile rocket attack, 12 private houses were damaged. An 11-year-old child and a 72-year-old woman were injured, they had an acute stress reaction.

Mayor Ihor Terekov reported that 26 residential buildings were damaged as a result of the night attack on Kharkiv. One house is almost completely destroyed, two are critically damaged. Water supply is available. Electricity supply is cut off for 80 private houses, specialists are working on fixing it. Gas supply is cut off to 7 houses.

Yesterday 21 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered russian artillery and mortar attacks: Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Berestove and others. Vesele, Vovchansk, and Vovchanski Khutory were hit by airstrikes.

At 3:30am, a KAB hit an infrastructure facility in Derhachi, Kharkiv region. About 25 buildings and structures, 33 trade pavilions were damaged.

At 3:15am, the roof of a private house and an outbuilding were burning as a result of the shelling in Lyptsi village. A 62-year-old woman was injured.

At 5:40pm, three houses were damaged as a result of hostile shelling in Kupiansk.

At 2:36pm, the roof of a petrol station, a gas pump and a car were damaged as a result of UAV shelling in Derhachi, Kharkiv region.

At 10:40am, a private enterprise, a slate hangar and a weighing shed were damaged by mortar shelling in Vovchansk.

On 9 May at 10:15am, there was an enemy shelling near the petrol station in Kupiansk. The building of the shop was damaged. The shelling killed a 51-year-old man and injured a 49-year-old woman.

Yesterday Ukrainian troops repelled 13 attacks towards Kupiansk, including near Petropavlivka, Synkivka and Berestove.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 26.73 hectares of territory and destroyed 535 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Defence Forces repelled 92 russian attacks on the eastern front. Most of the attacks were towards Avdiivka and Bakhmut.

Stanislav, a soldier of the 95th separate air assault brigade, informed that russian troops  are attacking near Terny and Nevske, trying to storm the town with infantry and armoured vehicles every day towards Lyman-Kupiansk.

Oleksii Tarasenko, Deputy Commander of the 2nd assault battalion of the 5th separate assault brigade of Kyiv brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed that there is no direct threat to Chasiv Yar, the front line has stabilised. There is no significant advance of russian troops at the moment.

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that on 10 May, russian troops shelled Chasiv Yar and Yelyzavetivka. As a result, two people were killed and two others injured.

The operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of 10 May is as follows:

Towards Pokrovsk, Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Paraskoviivka and Antonivka of Marinka community were shelled. 7 houses were damaged in Selydove. A person was injured in Hostre of Kurakhove community.

Towards Kramatorsk, in Lyman community, 4 houses were damaged in Zarichne and the outskirts of Kostiantynivka community shelled.

Towards Bakhmut, 11 private houses and 2 industrial buildings were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. Two apartment buildings were damaged in Toretsk. A house was damaged in Siversk.

In total, russians attacked settlements in Donetsk oblast 15 times. 300 people, including 33 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, stated that yesterday russians injured 1 civilian in Hostre.

Luhansk oblast

Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, informed that russian troops continue their assaults near Nevske and in the Serebryansky forest, also shelling Makiivka by rocket artillery, trying to improve their tactical positions mid fierce fighting. He noted that the invaders are trying to break through to Siversk to cut off the Siversk ledge and get behind the defence forces in Serebrianka forestry. The enemy is trying to break through the line of defence of Ukrainian defenders near Terny and Nevske in order to further reach Lyman area, but they have no successful.

Near Stelmakhivka, in Serebrianka forest and in Bilohorivka, russians tried to improve their tactical position but were stopped by our defenders. Villages near the frontline were under attack from various types of weapons. Specifically, Nevske was shelled with mortars, rocket launchers and cannon artillery. The invaders attacked Makiivka, Kuzemivka and Stelmakhivka by mortars and cannon artillery.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the local military administration is helping to restore the damaged houses of the community. Yesterday the necessary materials were delivered to four households in Nevske. Police also facilitated the delivery of bread and food packages to Makiivka.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that almost 3 months have passed since the Bilorichenska mine and its auxiliary facilities were given to an investor without announcing a tender. During this time, the new owner has only promised to test the new equipment on one of the sites. It will be installed next year.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

In an interview to The Economist, Land Forces Commander Oleksandr Pavliuk reported that the AFU are preparing 10 new brigades, some of which will be deployed to defend Kyiv. According to him, in two and a half years, russians have not given up their ambitions to capture the capital.

Kyiv will introduce power consumption restriction schedules for businesses and the industrial sector due to the difficult situation in the power grid. The outages are scheduled from 6pm on 10 May to 7am on 11 May. KCSA is asking residents to save power, especially during evening peak hours.

Slovak President Zuzana Chaputova arrived in Kyiv. She had a meeting with President Zelenskyy. They discussed the difficult situation at the frontline and Ukraine’s needs to protect its borders and independence.

Ruslan Kravchenko, head of Kyiv RMA, informed that Zuzana Chaputova visited Moshchun. At the Angels of Victory memorial, the guests honoured the memory of the fallen defenders of Moshchun. According to him, this is the third visit of the Slovak President to Ukraine during the war. She saw all the consequences of the ‘russian world’ with her own eyes in Bucha, Irpin and Borodianka.

Vitalii Klychko, Mayor of Kyiv, announced a meeting with ambassadors and diplomats of foreign countries on Europe Day. As he said, the event was attended by 24 ambassadors and 16 representatives of the diplomatic community, including the G7, EU and other countries.

Philippe Close, Mayor of Brussels, inspected the new state-of-the-art climate control system for preserving valuable museum exhibits. The system was installed in the storage facilities of the Ivan Honchar Museum with the support of Brussels. According to Vitalii Klychko’s statement, in presence of Mr Klose, a plaque on cultural cooperation between the cities was unveiled at the museum.

Bridget Brink, US Ambassador to Ukraine, inspected the restored glass dome of Kyiv City Teacher’s House, previously damaged by a russian missile in October 2022. The dome, an architectural monument of national significance, was restored with the financial (grant) support of the U.S. Embassy Fund for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage in Ukraine and the World Monuments Fund.

Zhytomyr oblast

The recruitment centre of the 3rd separate assault brigade will be open in Zhytomyr from 13 to 16 May. This opening will be an information campaign during which no summonses will be issued. In addition, a recruitment centre will soon be opened in Zhytomyr to provide information about vacancies in various brigades.

The RMA reported that power consumption restriction schedules are being introduced for industrial enterprises. Power engineers urge people to use electricity sparingly in the evening.

The Adelaide farm, one of the largest farms in Kherson oblast before the full-scale war, relocated to Zhytomyr oblast. In 2022, due to russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, the company lost 3,000 hectares of land, but nevertheless resumed its business.

Sumy oblast

 The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that in the morning the armed forces of the russian federation had been shelling the civilian infrastructure of Esman community with artillery for an hour. A 64-year-old woman was killed and her 17-year-old granddaughter injured.

At night and in the morning, the russians attacked Sumy oblast border areas and settlements 11 times. There were 61 artillery and mortar attacks. Khotin, Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda, Esman, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled.

Over the past day, the russians attacked the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast 60 times. There were 302 attacks from various types of weapons. Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Putyvl, Esman, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled.

Demolition experts destroyed a warhead of a russian cruise missile found in a field near a village in Sumy oblast. According to the National Police of Sumy oblast, the missile broke into fragments during the fall and did not explode. An agronomist from an agricultural enterprise found the missile remains. The discovery turned out to be an X-101 strategic air-launched cruise missile.

In Sumy, an open area for medical rehabilitation was opened in the Central City Hospital. It includes two sections with exercise equipment where people of all ages and fitness levels can exercise.

Chernihiv oblast

Over the past day, russian troops attacked Chernihiv oblast border 10 times. According to the State Border Guard Service, there were 52 attacks with cannon artillery and mortars. Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities were under enemy fire.

Chernihiv RMA reported that this year, oblast residents have received more than UAH 700m in various compensations under the eRestoration programme. 4,292 applications for compensation for damaged housing were submitted, and compensation for repairs in the amount of UAH 230m was paid to 2,220 applicants. Compensation for destroyed housing was paid to 923 applicants, with compensation in the total amount of UAH 523 million accrued to 345 applicants.

Bettina Martin, Minister of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, visited Chernihiv. Vitalii Chaus, Head of the RMA, informed about the meeting. They discussed cultural exchange and the restoration of specialised institutions in the oblast, as well as the importance of memorialisation as part of historical memory.

Last month, laptops for educational institutions were delivered to the communities from foreign partners. The terms of assistance with the repair of shelters are currently being agreed upon. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is planning a holiday camp for children from the border area in June. Active work in the field of healthcare is also underway as part of the SOLOMIYA project for psychotherapy, psychosocial assistance and rehabilitation.

Five medical institutions in Chernihiv oblast will cooperate with German ones. The relevant Memoranda were signed by the heads of the institutions and their commissioners at the Second International Summit of Cities and Regions at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reports that at night, the occupiers launched 5 kamikaze drones at Nikopol. Due to the attacks, a car caught on fire and was destroyed, an administrative building, a shop and non-residential premises at a private enterprise were damaged 

During the day, the occupiers shelled Nikopol region 15 times, launching kamikaze drones and firing from artillery. They hit Nikopol, Marhanets, Pokrovsk and Myrove communities. A medical facility, a private house, an outbuilding, a gas pipeline and a power line were damaged.

UAH 10 million to rebuild a gymnasium in Dnipro oblast is being raised by Ukraine’s Eurovision representatives, Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil. It’s known that on the night of October 11, 2022, russian troops hit the school with an artillery shell, when the occupiers were 3km away from the village.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia, residents paid tribute to one of Azovstal youngest defenders, Nazarii Hryntsevych, nicknamed “Hrinka”. He was held in russian captivity for more than 4 months, and after his release, he returned to the frontline. The soldier was killed during a small arms battle near Kreminna.

Poltava oblast

In Poltava, a farewell to Artur Makeev and Ruslan Lytvyn was held. The defenders of Ukraine lived in Poltava community and were killed in action. Their families and friends paid tribute to the Heroes.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, a prosthetics center was opened in Cherkasy oblast on the basis of the Maximum camp.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday, the occupiers attacked 8 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast 547 times. 207 UAVs attacked Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Novoandriivka. 20 MLRS strikes covered Mahdalynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, and Robotyne. 320 artillery bombardments were inflicted on Chervonodniprovka, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Levadne, and Malynivka. 17 reports of residential buildings being destroyed were received. One woman was wounded.

It was reported that the occupiers carried out 19 assaults towards Orikhiv. 14 of them were in the vicinity of Staramaiorske and 5 in Robotyne.

Eco-inspectors surveyed the territories affected by the last massive russian missile attack on 8 May. In particular, areas adjacent to the Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Station, a plot in a garage cooperative, and a plot in a park in Voznesenskyi district, totaling over 3500 square meters, were littered and contaminated.

Mykolaiv oblast

During the night of 10 May, air defense forces in Mykolaiv oblast destroyed 8 Shahed 131/136 UAVs. A fire broke out in dry grass in Olshanka community as a result of the debris from the downed enemy drone. The blaze was promptly extinguished by firefighting units.

On 9 May, the enemy conducted artillery shelling on a settlement of Kutsurub community, and later attacked the water area using a kamikaze drone. Also the enemy launched a rocket strike on the village of Kostiantynivka. A car was damaged, and a fire broke out in dry grass, which was promptly extinguished by firefighters.

Odesa oblast

Odesa City Council informs that A mobile shelter will be installed in the area of the Health Route, which stretches along the coast in Odesa, by May 20. TThe shelter will accommodate about 10-15 people.

Civil infrastructure damaged by russian drone attacks is being restored in the city of Izmail. 115 private houses, 55 apartments in high-rise buildings, several educational, cultural and sports institutions were damaged, and one private house was completely destroyed  in Izmai during the entire period of the full-scale war. A special city program to restore housing was developed, according to which the city budget provides UAH 7.4m in 2024. So far, 49 contracts worth UAH 5m have been concluded and 80% of the works completed.

45m tons of goods were exported from the ports of Greater Odesa to 44 countries of the world for almost 9 months of operation of the Ukrainian corridor. Almost 1,600 vessels used it. There are 108 more ships on the approach to the ports, which are supposed to export more than three million tons of cargo.

Kherson oblast

It is reported that russian troops attacked the village of Vesele. An 84-year-old local woman was wounded in the head and back as a result of the shelling.

The enemy also shelled Kozatske and Beryslav. A 49-year-old woman was injured in the back in Kozatske. A 48-year-old resident of Beryslav was diagnosed with a shrapnel wound in the groin area.

Yesterday, the russian army attacked Kizomys, Stanislav, Mykhailivka, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Oleksandrivka, Sadove, Antonivka, Inhulets, Inzhenerne, Beryslav, Respublikanets, Lviv, Havrylivka and the city of Kherson. The enemy also launched a ballistic missile attack on the Beryslav region. 28 private houses, a critical infrastructure object, a gas pipeline, farm buildings, a warehouse, a garage and a private car were damaged as a result of the attacks. 1 person was injured.

1 131/136 Shahedwas destroyed in Kherson oblast during the night drone attack.

Two men were injured in Kyselivka as a result of the detonation of a russian projectile. A man dropped a shell which remained after enemy shelling from the attic. As a result of the explosion, the victim received a blast injury, a shrapnel wound to the chest and leg. Another victim received an explosive injury.

The enemy launched 2 unsuccessful assaults on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the temporarily occupied Kherson oblast. Having suffered losses, the russians retreated to their original positions.

Volunteers evacuated a resident of the village of Shliakhove. The security situation in this settlement is critical. The enemy is shelling the village daily with all types of weapons.

Employees of Kherson Art Museum discovered another picture stolen during the occupation. According to the inventory number, which was detected in the russian propagandist video, the linocut by Samuil (Samuel) Rozynas “In defense of the Motherland” of 1963 was identified. In total, 106 works of art have been identified as stolen by russians.

Volyn oblast

Liuboml City Council sent a reconnaissance equipment to the defenders of Ukraine. This time, Roman Yushchuk, City Mayor handed over 2 DJI Mavic 3T Enterprise (Thermal) quadcopters to the 6th Volyn Border Guard Detachment.

Vydranytsia Lyceum raised over UAH 7,000 for drones’ production. The charity event to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was held during the Europe Day celebration in the institution.

As part of the Support for the Rapid Economic Recovery of Ukrainian Municipalities project funded by German government and implemented by German company GIZ and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine, Lutsk has launched its own initiative called “Creating a Multifunctional Business Space in Lutsk”. The project envisages the creation of modern and innovative infrastructure to support and develop the community’s entrepreneurial environment through the launch of a multifunctional business space. 

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded a combat medic from Kamin-Kashyrskyi community.  Kateryna Bezrodnia, a frontline medic from Volyn, walked 5 kilometers under heavy fire to save her wounded comrade-in-arms.

In Dorosyni village, a funeral ceremony for soldier Vasyl Semera was held.

In Lutsk, citizens paid tribute to Maksym Vidrynskyi, 19-year-old defender, a student of the local pedagogical college. The young contract soldier was killed in action in Kharkiv oblast.

In Knyahynynok, a soldier, Hryhorii Savchuk, who was killed while performing a combat mission near Vilshany village of Kharkiv oblast, was buried.

Zakarpattia oblast

A renovated Primary Health Care Center was opened in Svaliava. The reconstruction of the medical facility lasted more than a year.

The City Council says that in Mukachevo, the military-patriotic game Falcon (“Jura”) among senior pupils of community schools has started. The competition was attended by 27 teams, 8 participants in each.

In Uzhhorod, a memorial plaque to the fallen Hero Viacheslav Hroskopf was unveiled. The memorial sign was installed on the façade of Uzhhorod Center for Vocational Education, the institution where the defender worked.

In Mizhhiria, the deceased Hero Vasyl Holovchak was buried.  

The deceased defender Mykola Batryn from Nehriv in Mukachevo region was paid tribute to. 

In Uzhhorod, local residents paid tribute to 21-year-old defender of Ukraine, senior soldier Taras Havrysh.

 Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsenkiv reports that a renovated dormitory was opened for the families of internally displaced persons. About 40,000 IDPs currently live in Ivano-Frankivsk. The project was funded by the European Union and NEFCO.

Svitlana Onyshchuk, Head of the Regional Military Administration, says that in Prykarpattia, the principle of a “single window” for veterans and their relatives in ASCs is being introduced. This provides for the formation of a single database of services for war veterans and creation of convenient, high-quality and accessible conditions for obtaining administrative services. 39 ASCs have already integrated services for veterans into the lists of their services. 

Thanks to charity fairs, the  public organization Union of Ukrainian Women in Kalush managed to raise UAH 105,000 for drones for the 35th Brigade marines.

 Lviv oblast

Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, informs that Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Center received equipment worth more than UAH 21m from the Czech Republic. In particular, the benefactors donated an electric resuscitation bed, a maternity bed, a ceiling console, a heater for newborns, a multifunctional chair, a gurney, an anesthesiology wheelchair, and a powerful generator that can completely power the maternity ward. 

Together with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Ukraine Pier Francesco Zazo, the RMA opened an exhibition of works by Ukrainian and Italian artists in Lviv’s Palace of Arts. The exhibition, which includes paintings by Paolo Coia, Arthur Kotyk, Claudio Rosati, Victor Bariba and Natalie Ferratti, is called Dialogues.

The People’s House of Chervonohrad organized a charity fundraiser and raised more than UAH 40,000 for the needs of the Armed Forces to join the purchase of a DJI Mavic 3 quadcopter for servicemen from the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Funds were raised, in particular, at the charity concert “Oh Spring, Oh Red” and an open lecture on sex education by Iryna Samsin. The People’s House also held a charity auction, where it raffled off an Easter egg by Halyna Lekh, and a painted shell casing and a shell capsule in exchange for donations.

Rivne oblast

 Serhiy Podolin,  first deputy head of the Rivne Regional State Administration, informs that new training of special civil protection services is starting in Rivne oblast. It will be held in each region separately and will last throughout May. Among the main tasks are the algorithm of interaction between the management bodies and the civil protection forces, notification and delivery of signals to the population, reporting and accident liquidation. 

Ternopil oblast

The Department of Social Protection of the Population of the TOVA and the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Regional Military Administrations of the oblast received HPE PROLIANT ML350 GEN10 HOT P server equipment. Thus, there will be a prompt exchange of information, which will increase the efficiency of migration when calculating monthly assistance for IDPs in the region. The assistance was made possible thanks to UNHCR Refugees in Ukraine and the Head of the UNHCR Field Office for Refugees, Omed Hussameldin Ayyub.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The staff of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant handed over 50 FPV drones to the military. These are the first of thousands of drones, the purchase of which is envisaged by the “Drone Swarm” charity initiative. The total amount of employees’ donations to the charity initiative is over UAH 40m.

In Khmelnytskyi, the veterans’ competition will be held.  This is the third stage of the second all-Ukrainian round of adaptive sports competitions among veterans. Participants will compete in indoor rowing, bench press, aerobikes and kettlebell snatch.

About 200 IDPs use the public laundry in Khmelnytskyi every week. The laundry was set up to help displaced people from other regions. For them, such services are free of charge.

A memorial plaque in honour of the fallen defender Anatolii Opolskyi was unveiled in Kamianets region.  He was a combat medic who was killed in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 

Three servicemen from Khmelnytskyi oblast were killed in the battles with the russian invaders. In Stara Kostiantynivka community, residents paid tribute to soldier Oleksandr Karpukhin. Antoninka community paid tribute to senior soldier Oleh Tyshchuk. Near the village of Kalynivka, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region, Ihor Yasinskyi, resident of the village of Chechelnyk,  was killed.

Chernivtsi oblast

At Chernivtsi Regional Dental Center, defenders can receive dental prosthetics services free of charge. 

A commemorative plaque was unveiled in Storozhynets in honour of the Hero Serman Ion, who was killed in action. 

Chernivtsi Regional Council informs that in Bukovyna, they paid tribute to a young soldier Myroslav Semeniuk. 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Defense Minister Boris Pistorius told German journalists during a visit to Washington that Germany will purchase HIMARS systems for Ukraine from the United States. This was stated by  He explained that we are talking about MLRS from the stocks of the US Army, which will be paid for by Germany.

The United States has officially announced $400 million in aid to Ukraine. The package will include missiles for Patriot, NASAMS, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, ammunition for HIMARS and artillery, equipment, etc.

The Czech Republic handed over the first F-16 fighter jet simulator to one of the Ukrainian tactical aviation brigades.  Its main module is already being tested and prepared for operation by Ukrainian specialists.

President of Slovakia Zuzanna Čaputová arrived in Kyiv on a visit.

The UN recognized that the forced imposition of russian citizenship on the residents of Crimea is a violation of human rights. In the report, the UN Committee spoke about the arbitrary detention of Ukrainians and their illegal transfer to the russian federation to serve their sentences.
