On 10 August, there were 114 combat clashes on the frontline. Ukrainian defenders are stopping the enemy, holding the lines and destroying russians’ plans.
Arkhypivka, Karpovychi in Chernihiv oblast; Turyia, Velyka Bereza, Marine, Bachivsk, Khodyne, Brusky, Fotovyzh, Boiaro-Lezhachi, Khliborob in Sumy oblast were shelled.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the enemy carried out three airstrikes, dropping four guided aerial bombs, and carried out 118 attacks, including five from multiple launch rocket systems.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the Ukrainian military repelled the enemy’s attack near Vovchansk.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy advanced four times on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of the settlements of Radkivka, Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka; two clashes are currently ongoing.
Towards Lyman, there were eight clashes, five of which are still ongoing. The enemy attacked in the vicinity of the settlements of Karpivka, Kolodiazne and towards Shandryholove and Dronivka.

Towards Kramatorsk, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks by the occupier. The enemy conducted offensive actions, trying to advance in the area of Novomarkovo, Chasiv Yar and towards Bila Hora.
Towards Toretsk, the defense forces stopped seven enemy attacks. The invader tried to advance in the vicinity of the settlements of Diliivka, Toretsk, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Katerynivka and towards Rusyn Yar and Pleshchiivka.
Towards Pokrovsk, russian troops tried 17 times to advance on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of the settlements of Poltavka, Volodymyrivka, Zatyshok, Kucheriv Yar, Zapovedne, Krasnyi Lyman, Myroliubivka, Sukhetske, Chunyshyne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Horikhove and Fedorivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 attacks, the fighting does not cease.
Towards Novopavlivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy attacks near the settlements of Zelenyi Hay, Vilne Pole, Temyrivka, Myrne, Oleksandrohrad, Voskresenka, Shevchenko and Olhivske. Four enemy attacks are still ongoing.
Towards Orikhiv, the aggressor’s aviation struck the settlements of Novodanylivka and Yuliivka, and the invader also tried to advance Kamianske.
Towards Kherson, the aggressor carried out four futile attacks on the positions of our defenders; the settlement of Kozatske was hit by russian unguided air missiles.
In the remaining directions, there were no significant changes in the situation.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
There were 160 combat clashes.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the aggressor stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders five times in the vicinity of Vovchansk and towards the settlements of Kolodiazne and Petro-Ivanivka.
Towards Kupiansk, there were six attacks. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions near Petropavlivka, Kindrashivka, Zahryzove, Nova Kruhliakivka and towards Kupiansk and Kovalivka.
Shelling
The regional police and prosecutor’s offices reported that in Kupiansk, a russian FPV drone hit a civilian car. A 73-year-old man was injured, and three other women had an acute stress reaction.
The city of Kharkiv and 5 settlements of the oblast were subjected to enemy attacks.
As a result of the shelling, 6 people, including a child, were injured.
In the city of Kharkiv, a 43-year-old, 45-year-old, 38-year-old woman, a 38-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were injured; in the city of Kuyansk, a 73-year-old man was injured.
A 71-year-old woman who was injured in the city of Kupiansk on August 6 also sought medical help.
The enemy attacked a UAV in Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv.
The russian army shelled Chuhuiv region with 8 UAVs.
The city of Chuhuiv and near the village of Rozdolne in Zmiiv community, the village of Martove in Pechenihy community and the village of Korobochkine of Prolisnianska community were under fire. As a result of the shelling, a kindergarten building, a warehouse, as well as grass and trees burned.

The Drama Sprint festival, aimed at promoting modern drama in theaters in frontline cities, will be held in Kharkiv from August 15 to 17. The project’s communications manager, Valentyna Tuzhyna, reported that six of the eight winning authors whose works will be presented at the festival are military personnel.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
The General Staff said that russian troops attacked seven times towards Siversk, there were two assaults the day before. The russian army attacked the positions of the Defense Forces near Hryhorivka, Serebrianka, Pereizne and towards Siversk.
Towards Pokrovsk, Ukrainian defenders stopped 43 assaults. There were 22 attacks towards Lyman. Towards Novopavlivka, the Defense Forces repelled 20 assaults.
Taras Myshak, Senior Officer of the communications department of the 59th separate assault brigade of unmanned systems named after Yakov Hanziuk, says that for the past seven days, russian troops have not been assaulting near the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts in the area of responsibility of the 59th separate assault brigade.
Dmytro Zaporozhets, Spokesman for the 11th Army Corps, informs that the Russian army has intensified combat operations towards Siversk, trying to break through to Siversk and Kostiantynivka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding their defenses, Chasiv Yar is under fire control.
Shelling
The oblast police said that at around 4:00 and 5:00 on August 10, russian troops launched two strikes on Druzhkivka, killing one person and wounding two others.
According to police, on August 9, there were 3,060 enemy shells on the front line and residential areas.
11 settlements were under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Sloviansk, the villages of Bokove, Markov, Mykilske, Seredne, Staryi Karavan, and Shakhove.
54 civilian objects were damaged, including 28 residential buildings.
One person was killed in Seredne, Lyman community.
russians dropped a 500 kg guided bomb on Kostiantynivka, and also shelled the city with drones, MLRSs and artillery. Two people were injured, 10 apartment buildings and 7 private houses, an educational institution, a shop, 2 outbuildings were damaged.
In Markove, Kostiantynivka community, a civilian was injured as a result of an FPV drone hit, and a private home was damaged.
In Sloviansk, the enemy struck with a GAB-250 bomb and four Geran-2 UAVs – damaging 6 private houses, a non-residential building, and 2 cars. In Mykilske, Sviatohirsk community, four Geran-2 UAVs were hit, and there was destruction on the territory of the enterprise.
russia bombed Druzhkivka with Smerch multiple rocket launchers – 2 apartment buildings and 2 private houses, an educational institution, and 2 civilian cars were damaged.
For nine days, rescuers cleared the rubble at the site of an apartment building in Kramatorsk, Donetsk oblast, partially destroyed by shelling on July 31. The rescuers completed this work on August 9, said Stanislav Baldin, spokesman for the oblast SES.
Luhansk oblast
Towards Lyman, the enemy attacked 22 times, towards Siversk – seven. Dibrova was under fire. Our soldiers are holding the defense there. The invaders used multiple launch rocket systems. They fired 31 times from artillery, used 92 drones and FPV drones.
russians are training children from the occupied Luhansk oblast to be snipers. In 2025, the Voin military-patriotic education center introduced a new training direction – sniping. During summer specialized shifts, children are taught to shoot accurately at long distances. They are trained by instructors, 75% of whom participated in the war in Ukraine. In a few years children will be sent to fight.
From 2026, russia will make it more difficult for Ukrainian children to leave the territory of the so-called “lpr” to be able to evacuate. New border crossing rules are being introduced for children under 14 years of age. Previously, they could travel to a number of countries with a birth certificate, including Belarus. According to the new norms, it will be necessary to issue a russian passport.

Kyiv oblast
Three police officers were injured during a russian strike on Kyiv on 31 July 2025. A piece of a rocket fell next to their patrol car as they were heading to a call in Sviatoshynskyi district. The powerful shock wave caused the police officers to suffer multiple shrapnel wounds and lose consciousness. All three are currently undergoing inpatient treatment. One of the men is in serious condition — he has endured several operations and is preparing for more.
Myronivka City Council is implementing energy-efficient solutions for the community. In the village of Teptiivka, 50-kilowatt solar panels have been installed on water intake structures (water supply). This step was taken, in particular, to reduce the load on the power system and provide backup power in case of outages.
A special lighting system will be installed in the Therapeutic Garden in Kyiv, which is being created to support military personnel and veterans. The system will simulate the spectrum of the sunset, used for meditation routes and relaxation areas.
The nineteenth patriotic bike ride took place in Kalynivska community of Fastiv region. The sporting event brought together both children and adults. The bike ride was traditionally held in a charitable format – participants raised funds to support the Ukrainian military.
Zhytomyr oblast
In Zhytomyr, the regional office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights conducted monitoring visits to shelters in the basements of residential buildings. Based on the results of the monitoring, reports will be prepared and recommendations will be made to address the identified issues.
Sumy oblast
The General Staff reported that on the morning of 10 August, Ukraine’s Defense Forces liberated and fully cleared Bezsalivka village in Bilopillia community, Sumy oblast, of russian troops. The operation involved units of the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment and the 24th Separate Assault Battalion. During the fighting, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 18 russian servicemen.
Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that on the morning of 10 August, russian forces once again attacked the regional administration building in central Sumy. A drone struck the roof of the building. No casualties were reported.
Mykola Noha, Head of Shostka community, said that overnight, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on Hlazivskyi Starosta District in Shostka region. The attack damaged a civilian infrastructure facility and four residential buildings.
Between the morning of 9 August and the morning of 10 August, russian forces carried out 90 attacks on 45 settlements across 17 territorial communities in Sumy region. The highest number of strikes were recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (25 strikes), dropped VOG grenades from UAVs (over 10 strikes), and also launched attacks using FPV-drones and other UAVs. In Seredyna-Buda community, a 66-year-old local resident was injured as a result of shelling.
As a result of russian shelling in Sumy oblast:
– In Hlukhiv community: a vehicle was damaged;
– In Lebedyn community: a non-residential building was hit;
– In Shostka community: a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
– In Krasnopillia community: a residential building caught fire.
According to the General Staff, in Sumy oblast, ‘anti-drone tunnels’ are being constructed to protect both military personnel and civilians. The structures are being built by the 47th Separate Engineering Brigade. These specially designed corridors, made of stretched mesh netting, allow for the safe movement of troops, military equipment, weapons, the wounded, and civilian vehicles in frontline areas. The netting creates a barrier against kamikaze drones.
Three people were evacuated from border communities by local authorities in cooperation with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and civil society organizations.
Chernihiv oblast
On 9 August, russian forces attacked five settlements in two border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka. The enemy used mortars (7 explosions), Shahed-type UAVs (5 explosions), FPV-drones (3 explosions), and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (1 explosion). According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, a cell tower was damaged in Kremskyi Buhor village, Novhorod-Siverskyi community.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the oblast council, says that 21 enemy UAVs were destroyed. The enemy attacked Synelnykove region. They targeted the region center, Mezhova and Vasylkivka communities. There are destroyed and damaged private houses, the administrative building and infrastructure were damaged. Attacks also continued in Nikopol region. From evening to morning, the occupiers fired drones and artillery.
They targeted Nikopol, Myrove, Pokrovske and Marhanets communities. A private house was damaged.
According to updated information, an educational institution was damaged in yesterday’s attacks in the district center, and a private house and an outbuilding in Pokrovske community.
About 60 attacks – the enemy again poured fire on Nikopol region during the day. They mainly struck with drones and artillery, targeted the region center, Myrove, Pokrovske, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. In Pokrovske community, a 63-year-old man was injured by a drone strike. Fires broke out, 2 private houses, 2 cars, the same number of minibuses and a recreation center were damaged. According to updated information, another private home and enterprise were damaged in the morning attacks. The occupiers also hit the Hrushivska community of the Kryvyi Rih district. A store was damaged. They also hit Synelnykove region. They targeted Mezhova and Pokrovske communities. They hit with a GAB and a drone.
Poltava oblast
The Alley of Heroes was opened in the Poltava region. It was arranged in the center of the village of Palchykivka. Memorial structures were placed on the Alley in honor of fallen servicemen to honor their memory.
Cherkasy oblast
A rally in support of prisoners of war and missing soldiers “Don’t be silent – captivity kills” took place in Cherkasy. About 200 people lined up with flags and posters along Shevchenko Boulevard – relatives, friends of the defenders, volunteers, military personnel and caring townspeople.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 10 August, the russian army attacked a transport infrastructure facility and a clinic in Zaporizhzhia. As of 19:00, 12 people are reported injured. The rescue operation continues.
On 9 August, the occupiers carried out 491 strikes on 15 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces conducted 4 airstrikes on Plavni, Novodanylivka, Malynivka, and Bilohiria. 322 UAVs of various types (mainly FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Bilenke, Hryhorivka, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. 6 MLRS strikes hit Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, and Mala Tokmachka. 159 artillery strikes targeted Bilenke, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Malynivka. There were 15 reports of destroyed houses, apartments, non-residential premises, and one car. Three people were killed and one injured as a result of attacks on Zaporizhzhia, Vasylivka, and Polohy regions.
Two people were injured as a result of an enemy attack on Vasylivka region on 8 August. The russians struck residential areas in Stepnohirsk with an FPV drone. The injured sought medical attention on their own on 10 August.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 10 August, the invaders attempted to advance in the vicinity Kamianske towards Orikhiv. On the previous day, 9 August, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled three russian attacks towards Orikhiv and one more towards Huliaipole.
Mykolaiv oblast
In the morning of 10 August, at 05:00, the enemy carried out artillery shelling on Kutsurub community. Yesterday, 9 August, at 10:10, the enemy attacked the waters of Ochakiv community with an FPV-type drone. No casualties were reported.
On 10 August, an event was in Mykolaiv to remind about Ukrainian prisoners of war and those missing in action. During the event, people welcomed two marines who had been returned from russian captivity. The event was attended by 250 people.
Odesa oblast
Three people was killed as a result of detonating explosive objects while swimming in areas of the Black Sea prohibited for recreation. One man died in Karolino-Buhaz, and another man and a woman died in Zatoka. Law enforcement officers are working at the scenes of the tragedies to determine all the details of the incidents.
Kherson oblast
As of 20:00 on 10 August, four deaths are known as a result of russian attacks. A woman was killed in a drone attack in the village of Stanislav. Also, as a result of a UAV attack in Stanislav, a man born in 1988 was killed. Around 11:30, the occupiers killed a 48-year-old man with a drone in the village of Dniprovske, Bilozerka community. As a result of a drone attack on Kachkarivka, Mylove community, one person was killed and two others were seriously injured.
On 10 August, around 17:00, russian occupiers attacked the village of Ukrainka, Novooleksandrivka community, with a drone. A 32-year-old man sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the torso and leg.
Around 16:00, russian occupiers attacked a man in central Kherson with a drone. Preliminary diagnosis for the 31-year-old Kherson resident was a blast injury.
At approximately 14:20, a russian drone attacked Bilozerka. A 64-year-old resident, who was at home, sustained a blast injury and a leg wound.
In the morning, russian forces attacked Dudchany, Mylove community, with drones. The strikes hit an apartment building, damaging the facade and roof, and shattering windows.
Medical assistance was needed for an elderly woman who were injured in russian attack in Kherson’s Dniprovskyi district on the morning of 8 August. The 76-year-old Kherson woman was diagnosed with a blast injury and a shrapnel wound to the leg.
A resident of Bilozerka who was injured in a Russian UAV attack on 8 August went to the hospital. The victim was hospitalized with a blast injury, concussion, and brain trauma.
Yesterday, 9 August, the russian forces attacked Antonivka, Bilozerka, Beryslav, Berehove, Veletenske, Vesele, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Kizomys, Kozatske, Mykilske, Mykhailivka, Molodizhne, Nadiiivka, Naddniprianske, Novokairy, Novoberyslav, Novooleksandrivka, Oleksandrivka, Osokorivka, Olhivka, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Rozlyv, Sadove, Sofiiivka, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Tomaryne, Tokarivka, Chervonyi Maiak, Chornobaivka, Zolota Balka, and the city of Kherson. As a result of the attacks, an apartment building, 8 private houses, a bus, and private cars were damaged. 2 people were killed and another 17 were injured due to russian aggression.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 10 August, the aggressor carried out four unsuccessful attacks towards Ukrainian defenders in the Prydniprovske direction. Over the past day, the enemy made 6 unsuccessful attempts to seize bridgeheads on Bilohrudyi Island and near the Antonivskyi road bridge, trying to dislodge Ukrainian fighters from their positions. Enemy losses over the past day amounted to 44 occupiers, 9 artillery systems, 36 vehicles, 4 UAVs, 4 trench EW complexes, 7 motorcycles, 1 boat, 6 UAV communication and control antennas, 1 field fuel depot, 1 generator, 5 storage sites, and 1 radar station. Thirty-five shelters were destroyed.
Ukrainian forces, with a precision bomb strike, hit the russian battalion command post near Oleshky, Kherson oblast. According to preliminary information, about 25 occupiers were killed, at least 11 were wounded. Intelligence reports that among the eliminated were the commander, chief of staff, chief of engineering service, and the commander of one of the battalion’s platoons.

An evening in memory of Peter the Canon was held in Kovel. On 9 August, exactly one year ago, at around eight o’clock in the evening, Petro Kanonik, a combat medic, died in battle while saving his comrades.
Zakarpattia oblast
Children of border guards rested at a summer Christian camp in Zakarpattia oblast. The Christian camp Emotional Compass, organized by Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese, welcomed 20 children.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Tlumach Community Social Services Center received a specialized vehicle worth over UAH 1.7m thanks to the state budget funds.
Lviv oblast
5-year-old Zlata from Pustomyty, together with her mother, sent 20 drones for her father, Bohdan, who is fighting in the 42nd Brigade of Unmanned Systems Perun. The girl says she decided to volunteer so that her father could finally return from the war.
Rivne oblast
In Rivne oblast, construction of a new medical and rehabilitation building at the regional veterans hospital continues. The new building of the veterans hospital is 80% ready.
Ternopil oblast
Military personnel from Ternopil community receive funds to purchase ammunition and equipment. During 2024, 3,198 Ternopil soldiers received such assistance.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Yarmolynetsk community said goodbye to Hero Ruslan Durach. He was killed on 28 July in Pokrovsky region during a combat clash with the enemy.
Chernivtsi oblast
Another victim of the missile strike on 12 July died in Chernivtsi hospital. The woman’s injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. Thus, the number of deaths in Chernivtsi as a result of the russian missile strike on an apartment building has reached 5.
