On 10 April, the aggressor launched 61 attacks against the positions of the Defense Forces.
Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, in Sumy oblast, the settlements of Korenok, Bachivsk, Sukhodil, Atynske, and Ryzhivka were affected.
- Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk: Ten combat engagements occurred, four of which are ongoing. Additionally, the enemy carried out 84 shellings of settlements and troop positions—32 involving MLRS—and launched two airstrikes using six guided bombs.
- Towards Southern Sloboda: The adversary stormed the positions of our units eight times in the areas of Vovchansk, Kolodiazne, Starytsia, and Prylipka.
- Towards Kupiansk: The adversary made two attempts to improve its tactical position in the vicinity of Novoplatonivka.
- Towards Lyman: Since the start of the day, four enemy assaults occurred near Nadiia, Zarichne, and Olhivka; one combat engagement is still ongoing.
- Towards Sloviansk and Kramatorsk: The enemy conducted no active operations.
- Towards Kostiantynivka: The invaders carried out 12 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, Ivanopillia, and Sofiivka.
- Towards Pokrovsk: The occupiers have attempted to push our warriors from their positions 12 times in the vicinity of Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Hryshyne, Filiia, and Novoserhiivka. One combat engagement is ongoing.
- Towards Oleksandrivka: The enemy launched three offensives in the vicinity of Kalynivske and Verbove. An airstrike was recorded on the outskirts of Kolomiitsi.
- Towards Huliaipole: The Defense Forces successfully repelled 11 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Charivne, and Zaliznychne. The enemy launched airstrikes in the vicinity of Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Charivne, and Rizdvianka.
- Towards Orikhiv: The adversary launched airstrikes on the area of Orikhiv.
- Towards Kherson: The enemy conducted three futile offensive actions toward the Antonivka Bridge.
In other directions, there are no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded. Ukrainian troops continue to exhaust the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
There were 163 combat engagements in the oblast.
Towards Southern Sloboda, russian troops attempted to break through the defenses six times near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Prylipka, Starytsia, and toward Okhrimivka. Towards Kupiansk, the occupiers attacked nine times in the area of Pishchane, Petropavlivka, Novoosynove, and toward Kivsharivka and Kupiansk.
As of 16:00, since the beginning of the day, russian troops have stormed eight times in the areas of Vovchansk, Kolodiazne, Starytsia, and Prylipka. The occupiers made two more attempts to improve their positions in Novoplatonivka region.
As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and five others were injured, including three children. In the village of Ruska Lozova of the Derhachi community, a russian FPV drone hit a civilian car—the driver was killed. In the settlement of Zolochiv, women aged 67 and 72, as well as children aged 13, 14, and 16, sustained injuries. The enemy attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with UAVs.
During the day, russian troops deployed various types of weaponry: MLRS, KABs, Geran-2 type strike UAVs, Molniya, Lancet, and FPV drones.
- Bohodukhiv region: In Zolochiv, at least 32 private houses and one apartment building were damaged. Additionally, houses in Ivashky and a car on the road between Sinne and Bohodukhiv were affected. russians shelled Zolochiv with MLRS, damaging at least 8 residential buildings, outbuildings, and a garage.
- Kupiansk region: A farm in Velykyi Burluk was damaged, as well as private houses in Spodobivka, Borivske, and Shevchenkove.
- Izium region: Strikes on Buhaivka damaged warehouse premises of an agricultural enterprise and power grids.
- Kharkiv region: Damage was recorded in Tsyrkuny, Ruska Lozova, Slatyne, and Mokra Rokytna—specifically private houses, cars, and power grids.
- Lozova region: Agricultural enterprises were damaged, including buildings, tractors, and cars.
- Chuhuiv region: Shelling damaged residential buildings, outbuildings, cars, and infrastructure objects. In Novooleksandrivka, a drone hit near an emergency medical vehicle—a flashing light was damaged, with no injuries reported.
It is specifically noted that russian troops are systematically destroying the village of Oskil: at least seven airstrikes are launched at the community daily.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 203 people over the past 24 hours. Since its opening, a total of 27,656 people have been registered at the point.
Police evacuated an 86-year-old woman from Kyrylivka in Chuhuiv region, who suffered a stroke after an explosion, as well as her son with a disability. Additionally, two more elderly people and a married couple were evacuated from Bile Kolodiaz.
Donetsk oblast
In temporarily occupied Donetsk oblast, Ukrainian forces struck a logistics hub in the vicinity of Novoazovsk, drone control points near Novopetrivka, and concentrations of Russian troops in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar and Velyka Novosilka.
Towards Pokrovsk: Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces repelled 33 Russian assaults near Ivanivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Novopavlivka, Molodetske, Myrne, Kotlyne, Novopidhorodnie, and Muravka, according to the General Staff of the AFU.
Towards Kostiantynivka: An additional 28 attacks were recorded within the same 24-hour period.
Around 00:30, russian troops struck Sloviansk with two Geran-2 drones. Three women were injured. The strike destroyed two private houses and damaged approximately 20 more, along with three civilian cars. One of the victims, a local resident, was injured when she was trapped under rubble inside her home during the attack.

On April 9, police recorded 1,488 Russian strikes along the frontline and residential sectors of Donetsk Oblast.
Twelve settlements came under fire: Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, Bilenke, Krasnotorka, Malotaranivka, Maidan, Novopavlivka, Osykove, Ocheretyne, and Pryvillia.
Damage was inflicted on 21 civilian objects, 9 of which were residential buildings.
In Druzhkivka, russians launched four strikes, primarily using FPV drones. Four civilians were injured. An apartment building, two private houses, and a parcel locker were damaged.
In Bilenke, an FPV drone strike injured two people and damaged a civilian car.
In Osykove, one additional person was injured.
Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov says that anti-drone protection is being reinforced in two key directions in Donetsk oblast. According to him, over 25 kilometers of protective structures are being built at a rate of approximately one kilometer per day. These sections are expected to be fully completed by the end of the month.

As of April 9, 40 children remain in the areas of Sloviansk where the mandatory evacuation of families with children is ongoing, according to the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
The White Angel police crews are evacuating up to 50 people daily from Mykolaivka community. Law enforcement reported several specific recent efforts:
On April 8, several families with children were moved out of Mykolaivka and Serhiivka, including a group of six from Serhiivka (three of whom were children).
In Kramatorsk region, during a single mission, the “White Angels” evacuated 27 people, including three children.
In Mykolaivka, due to constant strikes by UAVs, KABs, and tube artillery, the number of residents wishing to leave is increasing. Police recently evacuated 22 people from the city, ranging in age from 15 to 84.
In Serhiivka, a family of five was evacuated, including a woman with two children, her mother, and her brother.
Evacuees are first taken to transit centers, where volunteers assist them in moving further towards Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv oblasts.
Luhansk oblast
In temporarily occupied Luhansk oblast, the Defense Forces struck a fuel and lubricants warehouse near Rovenky, as well as a concentration of Russian military personnel near Perevalsk.
Toward Lyman and Sloviansk, russian troops attempted to break through the defenses of Ukrainian units nine times, specifically near seven settlements. In Luhansk oblast, the occupiers attacked from Tverdokhlibove, using tube artillery twice, mortars five times, and deploying five drones.
A personnel crisis is worsening in the so-called “lpr.” According to official data from the occupation authorities, the most significant labor shortages are in public administration, education, and healthcare. Conversely, the mining industry reports a surplus of labor due to the widespread closure of mines.
The occupation authorities in Luhansk oblast are attempting to artificially curb inflation. Municipalities have been ordered to set price caps on food products and specific tariffs until the end of the year. In practice, this forces businesses to operate at a loss without any state support.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Mayor Vitalii Klychko announced that the Kyiv community has sent another consignment of aid to the front line. A further 1,100 UAVs of various types have been dispatched to the fighters of the 1st Presidential Rapid Deployment Brigade named after Hetman Petro Doroshenko of the National Guard of Ukraine, ‘Bureviy’. Specifically, 500 FPV drones and 600 anti-drone interceptors were provided.
The Kyiv City State Administration has announced that residents of buildings in Kyiv where utility networks have been damaged as a result of enemy attacks are eligible for financial assistance of 40,000 hryvnias. This one-off financial assistance is provided under the city’s targeted programme “Care. Meeting the needs of Kyiv residents”. The funds can be used for renovation work in the apartment, repairing damage, and purchasing necessary heating appliances.
According to the State Emergency Service of Kyiv Oblast, a Safety Class for children with special needs has been opened at a school in Fastiv oblast. The children were eager to learn from specialists about the rules of safe behaviour and actions in emergency situations.
Zhytomyr oblast
The Olevsk community is to establish a ‘Space of Hope’ – a special memorial site to honour those missing under unusual circumstances. The decision was passed by councillors on 9 April at a session of the town council. The space is being created to honour those missing, support their families, and foster public remembrance, taking into account the importance of this issue and the need for a dignified place of remembrance.
Sumy oblast
Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that on the evening of 10 April, a russian UAV struck a residential building in Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy. A fire broke out at the site. Residential buildings were also damaged as a result of the strike. One woman sought medical assistance due to a stress reaction. The consequences of the attack are being уточнюються.
The State Emergency Service informed that on the morning of 10 April, russian forces carried out strikes on Konotop community. Following UAV impacts, a fire broke out in a five-storey residential building, and three vehicles also caught fire. At another location, a non-residential premises sustained significant destruction followed by fire. Due to the threat of repeated attacks, response operations were periodically suspended. All fires were extinguished.
First Deputy Mayor Svitlana Samsonenko said that as a result of the russian attack on Konotop, four civilians were injured. Response efforts are ongoing in the city. According to Mayor Artem Semenikhin, gas networks were damaged in one of the central districts of the city due to the explosion, leaving several multi-storey residential buildings without gas supply.

On the evening of 9 April the City Military Administration reported that russian UAVs attacked Sumy and Stetskivskyi starostat. In one of the city’s residential districts, a UAV of an unidentified type fell and was neutralised. No damage was recorded. In Stetskivskyi starostat, an FPV drone struck a civilian vehicle.
According to the Regional Military Administration, in Hlukhiv community, a 37-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman were injured as a result of an enemy UAV strike on 9 April.
In Sumy community, a five-year-old boy was injured following a UAV attack on 8 April.
Over the past day, from the morning of 9 April to the morning of 10 April, russian forces carried out more than 90 attacks on 27 settlements across 15 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, MLRS, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 18 hours and 41 minutes over the day.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
- in Esman community, a private residential house was destroyed and another was damaged;
- in Shalyhyne community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
- in Znob-Novhorodske community, a private residential house was destroyed;
- in Hlukhiv community, a private passenger vehicle was destroyed and a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
- in Shostka community, residential buildings and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
- in Sumy community, a private residential house, an outbuilding, a civilian infrastructure facility, and a vehicle were damaged;
- in Okhtyrka community, non-residential premises were damaged;
- in Velyka Pysarivka community, private houses were damaged;
- in Bilopillia community, a private residential house was damaged;
- in Konotop community, multi-apartment residential buildings, a non-residential premises, and a passenger vehicle were damaged.
Over the past day, 52 people were evacuated from border communities by local authorities in cooperation with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organisations.
In Sumy oblast, soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade captured a Belarusian national who had signed a contract with russian forces. The man voluntarily surrendered but stepped on a mine while approaching. According to the official page of the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade “Mahura”, one of Ukrainian soldiers carried the wounded prisoner for 10 kilometres across mined fields.
Ruslan Kravchenko, Prosecutor General of Ukraine, informed that senior officers of the russian armed forces responsible for the missile strike on Sumy on Palm Sunday, 13 April 2025, have been identified. Thirty-five people were killed, including two children, and 125 were injured. Eight officers have been notified in absentia of suspicion of committing war crimes by prior conspiracy of a group of persons resulting in fatalities.
Chernihiv oblast
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that over the course of 9 April, russian forces attacked four border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out shelling using mortars (4 explosions) and tube artillery (8 explosions), conducted a UAV strike of Molniya type (1 explosion), FPV drone strikes (12 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (13 explosions). Ten settlements came under enemy fire.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Regional Council, reported that in Nikopol, a 74-year-old man was injured. A 40-year-old man was also wounded as a result of evening attacks. The occupiers targeted the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske rural, and Marhanets communities using drones and artillery. A private house, an enterprise, and a vehicle were damaged.
During the evening, four multi-apartment and private houses, an outpatient clinic, four vehicles, a trading centre, a municipal enterprise, and two outbuildings were damaged. Following an FPV strike in Zelendolsk community, a private house was damaged. The enemy also carried out FPV strikes on Mykolaivka community, causing a fire. A garage and a vehicle were damaged. As a result of the previous day’s attacks, two people were killed in the region, and a 52-year-old man was injured.
The enemy also targeted Nikopol, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske rural, and Myrove communities. Four private houses, agricultural and industrial enterprises, a dormitory, two shops, an outbuilding, a lorry, infrastructure, and a power line were damaged.
The occupiers carried out UAV strikes on Petropavlivka and Dubovykivka communities. Fires broke out. A farm, two vehicles, a combine harvester, and a tractor were damaged.
Kirovohrad oblast
In Kropyvnytskyi, residents welcomed home 28-year-old serviceman Dmytro Lykhachov, who was released from russian captivity a month ago. While he was in captivity, his daughter was born. She is now nearly one and a half years old.
Cherkasy oblast
In Cherkasy oblast, an osteointegration prosthetic procedure was performed for the first time on a serviceman with a high-level amputation. In such cases, a titanium implant is inserted directly into the bone to enable direct attachment of the prosthesis.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Today, 10 April, russian forces struck Lysohirka in Zaporizhzhia region with an FPV drone, hitting a car parked near a private house. According to the head of the regional administration, Ivan Fedorov, one person was injured.
Also today, 10 April, russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia region. A civilian car was targeted, and one person was injured.
Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 9 April, the occupiers carried out 810 strikes on 42 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces conducted 19 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Balabyne, Kushuhum, Novooleksandrivka, Shyroke, Samiilivka, Krynivka, Liubytske, Zelena Dibrova, Orikhiv, Vozdvyzhivka, Kopani, Tsvitkove, and Novosoloshyne. 543 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Komyshuvakha, Novomykolaivka, Yurkivka, Kosivtseve, Bilenke, Chervona Krynytsia, Novooleksandrivka, Stepnohirsk, Stepove, Pavlivka, Prymorske, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Sviatopetrivka, Hirke, Zelene, Bilohiria, Pryluky, Huliaipilske, and Staroukrainka. Seven MLRS strikes targeted Balabyne, Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, Huliaipilske, Shcherbaky, and Novoandriivka. 241 artillery strikes hit Kosivtseve, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Bilohiria, Pryluky, Huliaipilske, and Sviatopetrivka. There were 166 reports of damage to infrastructure, housing, and vehicles. One person was killed and nine others were injured as a result of enemy attacks in Zaporizhzhia region.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 10 April, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 11 enemy attacks in the areas of Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Charivne, and Zaliznychne towards Huliaipole. The previous day, 9 April, the Defence Forces repelled 18 russian attacks towards Huliaipole.
The General Staff also reported that on 9 April and during the night of 10 Aprilunits of the Defence Forces of Ukraine destroyed a russian ammunition depot, UAV control buildups, and concentrations of occupying forces in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Additionally, Special Operations Forces destroyed russian weapons depots, a repair base, a logistics hub, and a UAV interception group in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast.
Mykolaiv oblast
Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 9 April, the enemy carried out three FPV drone attacks on Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. There were no casualties.
Odesa oblast
Odesa Regional Military Administration reported that on the morning of 10 April, russian forces attacked Odesa oblast. A storage tank was damaged at one of the ports, causing an oil leak without ignition.
During the night, the russian forces attacked Odesa with UAVs targeting energy and port infrastructure. Two large facilities in the southern part of the region were damaged. According to DTEK Odesa Power Grids, as of the morning, 11,100 households remain without electricity. Empty storage tanks and port equipment were also damaged.
Kherson oblast
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on 10 April at around 16:20, russian forces attacked Korabelnyi district of Kherson with a UAV. Two women were injured.
At around 09:40 in Rakivka of Beryslav community, russians attacked a civilian vehicle with a drone. Two men were injured.
Medical assistance was also needed for a man who came under a russian strike in Korabelnyi district of Kherson on the morning of 7 April. The 60-year-old resident suffered blast injuries and a concussion. Another resident from the village of Rozlyv in Bilozerska community sought medical help after being hit by a russian UAV at midday on 8 April. The 54-year-old man sustained blast injuries and a concussion.
The head of Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that an elderly man who had been seriously wounded in a russian drone attack in Dariivka on 31 March died in hospital. Doctors had been fighting for over ten days to save the life of the 76-year-old resident.
The Police of Kherson oblast reported that on 9 April, enemy shelling affected Kherson, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Tomyna Balka, Antonivka, Sadove, Mykilske, Fedorivka, Veletynske, Chornobaivka, Novodmytrivka, Prydniprovske, Shyroka Balka, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Sofiivka, Beryslav, Khreshchenivka, Novoraisk, Chervonyi Yar, Liubymivka, Ukrainka, Kozatske, and Vesele. russian strikes damaged 30 objects, including five apartment buildings and eight private houses, critical infrastructure facilities, two administrative buildings, an educational institution, a kindergarten, a gas station, a police service vehicle, eight civilian cars, and a tractor. Ten people were injured, including a child and two police officers.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 10 April, the enemy carried out three unsuccessful offensive actions toward Antonivskyi Bridge.
Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine
Volyn oblast
On 9 April, Bohdan Dmytruk, soldier from Kamen-Kashyrske, was killed during a combat mission. In Lyubeshiv region, days of mourning will last until 12 April.
Zakarpattia oblast
Representatives of the RMA visited soldiers of the Stuhna unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate as part of the Timur special unit on the front line. They handed over cars, drones, and holiday gifts to the military, which were collected from all over the oblast.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk community sent 2 electronic warfare systems and 35 FPV drones to the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
Lviv oblast
The RMA reported that UAH 18m has been allocated from the regional budget for the needs of the Security and Defense Forces.
Rivne oblast
In Rivne oblast, 422 IDPs have applied for housing vouchers. At the 1st stage of the eVotnovlenie program, such vouchers can be received by displaced persons from temporarily occupied territories who have the status of a participant in hostilities or persons with disabilities as a result of the war. Applications are considered by community commissions and information is entered into the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property.
Ternopil oblast
In Ternopil oblast, 5 more vehicles were handed over to the Ukrainian military. The vehicles were delivered by volunteers from Belgium as part of the Ukraine Mission of Ihor Vitenko project.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that the city community has agreed to receive humanitarian aid (4 buses) from the partner city of Prague.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA reported that soldier Pavlo Lemko has been awarded with the III degree Order of Courage (posthumously).
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
The European Union and the United Kingdom are advancing talks on London’s participation in a €90bn loan program for Ukraine. The potential deal would allow Kyiv to purchase British weapons, but its implementation depends on a decision by Hungary, which is currently blocking the allocation of funds.
