The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the advance of Russian occupation forces.
At this time, the total number of combat engagements stands at 107.
Communities in the settlements of Prohres, Studenok, and Stara Huta in the Sumy region, as well as Khrinivka, Yasna Polyana, and Mykhalchyna Sloboda in the Chernihiv region, suffered from enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Northern–Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four enemy attacks, with two more clashes still ongoing. The invaders’ aviation carried out seven airstrikes, dropping twenty guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy launched 101 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, including one using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern–Slobozhansky sector, the Defense Forces stopped fifteen enemy attacks near Vovchansk, Zakhidne, Dovhenke, and towards Kolodyazne, Kutkivka, Odradne, Dvorichanske, and Lyptsi.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Defense Forces repelled two of four enemy assaults near Kupiansk and towards Kurylivka. Fighting continues.
In the Lyman sector, the invading army launched five attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novomykhailivka, Shandryholove, and Derylove, with one engagement still in progress.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops tried five times to advance on our positions near Yampil and Hryhorivka. The Defense Forces successfully stopped all enemy attacks.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy has not conducted any offensive actions since the beginning of the day.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the invaders made seven attempts to breach our defenses near Rusyn Yar, Shcherbynivka, and Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, since the start of the day, Russian occupiers have made twenty-five attempts to dislodge our troops from their positions near Zatyshok, Nykanorivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Razine, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Dachne, Muravka, and towards Pokrovsk and Filiia. The Defense Forces continue to resist and have already repelled twenty-one attacks.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped eight enemy assaults, while nine more engagements are still underway. The enemy is attempting to advance near Filiia, Sichneve, Komyshuvakha, Vorone, Oleksiivka, Novomykolaivka, Novohrhorivka, Poltavka, and Malynivka.
In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy carried out an airstrike on Bilohiria.
In the Orikhiv sector, five clashes took place since morning — the occupiers tried to push forward near Stepove and towards Novoandriivka.
In the Prydniprovia sector, the enemy conducted no offensive actions.
President Signed Decree on Establishing the Office of the Military Ombudsman
The President signed a decree establishing the Office of the Military Ombudsman — a permanent advisory body under the President of Ukraine that will ensure civilian oversight of the observance of rights within all Defense Forces.
The President also appointed Olha Reshetylova as the first Military Ombudsman. Previously, she served as the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Service Members and Their Families.
The Military Ombudsman will address issues related to military service, handle complaints, initiate inspections, propose solutions, and report annually to the President and the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine.
National Preventive Health Check Program (“Check-Up”)
Ukrainians over the age of 40 will receive funds on a virtual “Diia” card to undergo a preventive medical check-up.
Within a month after turning 40, users will receive a push notification in the Diia app informing them about their eligibility for the national check-up program to assess their health status.
Funds will be credited to a Diia-generated virtual card, and individuals will be able to choose a healthcare facility to complete a set of medical tests, doctor consultations, and laboratory or instrumental examinations.
If any health deviations are detected, patients will be able to receive an electronic prescription for free medication.
The nationwide preventive check-up campaign will launch on January 1, 2026, with ₴10 billion allocated for the program in the draft state budget.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
During the past 24 hours, 200 combat engagements were recorded, according to the Regional Military Administration (RMA).
In the Southern–Slobozhansky sector, 29 battles took place near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Tykhe, Ambarne, Kamyanka, Bolohivka, Zakhidne, Krasne Pershe, Dovhenke, and in the directions of Kolodyazne, Dvorichanske, and Kutkivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, eight enemy assaults were recorded. The Defense Forces repelled attacks near Kupiansk and towards Petropavlivka, Novoplatonivka, Pishchane, and Stepova Novoselivka.
Shelling
Around 10:00 a.m., Russian forces struck the outskirts of Derhachi using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), reported the head of the local military administration, Vyacheslav Zadorenko. The strike hit the roof of a private house and the yard area, damaging a car. One person — a 72-year-old man — sustained leg injuries and is receiving all necessary medical assistance.
Passengers of the commuter train traveling from Slatyne to Kharkiv, which came under MLRS fire this morning, were not injured, said Valeria Chyrina, spokesperson for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office. The shelling damaged the front and side windows of the train car and left shrapnel marks on the exterior. According to Zadorenko, the train continued its route to Kharkiv after the strike, and no fire occurred.
During the past day, nine settlements in the Kharkiv region came under enemy fire.
As a result of shelling in the village of Novoosinove (Kurylivka community), a 55-year-old man was injured.
In the village of Verbivka (Balakliia community), a 47-year-old man was injured by the explosion of an unidentified object.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons across the Kharkiv region, including:
▪️ 1 guided aerial bomb (KAB);
▪️ 3 “Molniya”-type UAVs;
▪️ 2 FPV drones;
▪️ 2 other UAVs (type being determined).
Civilian infrastructure damage:
▪️ In the Kupiansk district, two private houses (Kupiansk, Novoosinove) and a farm building (Ivanivka) were damaged;
▪️ In the Izium district, a private house and a car were damaged in Pisky-Radkivski, and an ambulance was damaged in Borova.
Electricity supply in Kharkiv city has been fully restored.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 187 people over the past day. 51 people remain there. Since its establishment, 6,581 people have been registered at the center.
In the Lozova community of Kharkiv region, restrictions were introduced on the movement of loud motorcycles, motor scooters, mopeds, and other motor vehicles during air raid alerts and between 22:00 and 08:00. The goal is to maintain nighttime quiet and avoid confusion caused by loud engine sounds resembling those of enemy drones.
About 7,000 families have already received financial assistance from international organizations to purchase firewood for the winter, according to the regional administration’s press service. The 2025 program provides ₴19,400 per household.
In the Izium forestry, 9 more hectares of young forest are planned to be planted this autumn to replace those destroyed by the Russians, the Slobozhanske Forest Office reported. In total, over 175 hectares of forest are planned to be replanted across the Kharkiv region by the end of 2025.

Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Russian forces have reduced the number of attacks in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Toretsk, and Siversk sectors over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Toretsk sector, Russian troops carried out 18 attacks near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka.
In the Siversk sector, 11 battles took place. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 46 assaults, and in the Novopavlivka sector, they stopped 32 enemy attacks.
Russian forces are concentrating their efforts on capturing the city of Lyman, which has developed infrastructure, fortifications, and a railway network. However, they have failed to seize a number of nearby settlements, including Torske and Zarichne, said Rostyslav Yashchyshyn, head of the communications department of the 63rd Brigade.
Recently, soldiers of the brigade captured a 22-year-old Indian national who was fighting on the side of the Russian army.
Shelling
Russian forces struck Sviatohirsk around 11:30 a.m., targeting a residential area and a local market that was not operating at the time.
According to a correspondent on the scene, there are people in need of medical assistance, possibly suffering from concussions, though no fatalities have been reported so far.

Two people were killed and ten injured as a result of Russian shelling in the Donetsk region over the past day.
On October 7, police recorded 2,186 enemy strikes along the frontline and against residential areas.
Fourteen settlements came under fire: the cities of Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman; the settlements of Vodyanske, Oleksandrivka, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka; and the villages of Kindrativka, Lvivka, Novoandriivka, Ocheretyne, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Yatskivka.
In total, 66 civilian objects were damaged or destroyed, including 33 residential buildings.
In Vodyanske (Pokrovsk district), Russian forces dropped three KAB-250 bombs, killing two civilians and injuring one.
In Druzhkivka, five people were wounded; seven apartment buildings, seven private houses, a non-residential facility, and an educational institution were damaged. One person was also injured in Kindrativka.
In Kostiantynivka, Russian forces struck with one KAB-500, two KAB-250 bombs, and an FPV drone. One civilian was injured, and eight apartment buildings and 15 market pavilions were destroyed or damaged.
In Kramatorsk, Russia carried out five airstrikes using UMPB-5 glide bombs, injuring one civilian and damaging a car.
In Lvivka (Kramatorsk district), the enemy attacked with Uragan MLRS, injuring one person and damaging eight private houses and two civilian vehicles.
In Dobropillia, occupiers dropped three KAB-250 bombs, damaging an industrial facility and a production building.
In Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, four apartment buildings and two private houses were damaged.
In Rai-Oleksandrivka, Russian drones hit an educational institution, a boiler house, and a civilian car.
In Ocheretyne, a residential building and a farm were damaged.
In the Donetsk region, several coal mines lost power due to Russian shelling, reported Mykhailo Volynets, head of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine. At the time, 19 miners were working underground, including six in the cage — all were safely brought to the surface.
Luhansk oblast
Over the past day, Russian forces carried out assaults near about ten settlements in the Lyman and Siversk sectors, the Regional Military Administration reported. In total, 23 attacks were launched in those directions. Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line, preventing the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory. The occupiers conduct artillery shelling daily and actively use drones and FPV drones.
At the “Bilorichenska” mining and processing plant, workers are quitting en masse. Serious salary payment issues began after the facility near Lutuhyne was transferred to Russian investors by the occupation authorities of Luhansk region. Employees had hoped for stabilization for a year and a half, but the situation has only worsened month by month.
Residents of several districts in Lysychansk have been waiting four years for water and heat. The problem concerns neighborhoods with multi-story apartment buildings, where water supply and sewage systems remain nonfunctional. For three consecutive winters, residents have been left without centralized heating.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
In Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the heads of international and Ukrainian investment funds and business associations who took part in the Third Defense Industries Forum.
The Bucha community will receive €3.4 million from the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark to modernize its water utility system, Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk announced. On October 7, the Bucha City Council, the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark, and the Poul Due Jensen Foundation signed the agreement. The project will provide more than 72,000 residents of the Bucha community with access to higher-quality drinking water.
In Borodianka, reconstruction continues on a multi-story building on Parkova Street, 2, which was damaged by a blast wave at the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The explosion destroyed windows, doors, structural elements, and utilities. The comprehensive recovery project of Borodianka is being implemented by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, the Recovery Agency, and the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
A meeting of the Coordination Council on the development and implementation of the Memorialization Concept for participants and events of the Russian-Ukrainian war was also held in Kyiv, according to the Regional Military Administration. The session gathered civil society activists, families of fallen defenders, veterans, experts, representatives of the Kyiv City Military Administration, district heads, department directors, Kyiv City Council deputies, and the Head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Oleksandr Alfiorov.
Zhytomyr oblast
Near the Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, preparations have begun for the construction of a veterans’ community space. The site, located next to the university’s parking area, was cleared of trees and shrubs in early October to make way for the new building.
At the Myropil Lyceum, a large-scale military-patriotic training event titled “Zvytiaga: On Guard of the Future” took place. The training involved veterans and active service members who continue to defend Ukraine. Young participants gained vital knowledge and practical skills in first aid, tactical training in combat conditions, land navigation, marksmanship and weapon handling, mine safety basics, communication systems, drone operation, and ideological preparedness.
Sumy oblast
On the morning of 8 October the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian defenders repelled seven russian assaults towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk. During the day, the enemy launched seven airstrikes, dropped ten guided aerial bombs, and carried out 198 artillery attacks, including eight using multiple-launch rocket systems.
In the afternoon of 8 October, russian drones attacked Sumy city. One drone hit the roof of a multi-storey building in Zarichchia region, and another struck Kovpakivka region. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. The strike in Kovpakivka region caused a fire in a non-residential building and damaged nearby homes. In Zarichchia region, the blast damaged the roof and façade of an apartment building.
Serhii Bespalko, Head of Velyka Pysarivka, said that in Velyka Pysarivka village, a man was killed in his own yard during a russian shelling attack. The type of weapon used is being established.
Sumyoblenergo informed that a russian drone hit a Sumyoblenergo service vehicle in Bilopillia. No one was inside, and no casualties were reported. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, 31 company vehicles have been damaged by attacks, nine of which are beyond repair.
Overnight on 8 October, russian Shahed drones attacked Stepanyvka village in Sumy community, with 22 recorded impacts. Four apartment buildings and about ten private homes were damaged. Around 300 people require building materials for repairs. Water supply is temporarily unavailable.
Also that night, a russian drone hit a residential house in Verkhna Pozhnia village in Krasnopillia community. A four-year-old girl, her mother and grandmother were injured. The child suffered severe burns, and doctors are fighting for her life. Authorities are preparing her transfer to Ohmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv.
In Mykolaivka community, a 40-year-old worker was killed when russian troops attacked an agricultural enterprise where he was harvesting crops.
Yurii Zarko, Head of Bilopillia community, said that at 4am. on 8 October, guided aerial bomb (GAB) strikes hit Hyryne village, killing a 66-year-old man and injuring two others. Late on 7 October, a russian drone struck a local grocery store in Bilopillia. Power outages were reported following drone strikes on energy facilities in the town.
According to Naftogaz, in Shostka, gas supply has been fully restored after recent massive russian attacks. Emergency repairs lasted a full day, restoring service to 33,000 consumers.
Between the mornings of 7 and 8 October, russian forces carried out 202 attacks on 58 settlements across 19 local communities in Sumy oblast. The heaviest shelling occurred in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used guided aerial bombs (20 strikes), drones (over 30 strikes), VOG grenade drops (more than 20), FPV-drones, and multiple-launch rocket systems.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
- Hlukhiv community – damage to apartment blocks, private homes, and infrastructure facilities.
- Krasnopillia community – one private house destroyed, several others damaged, plus non-residential and infrastructure buildings, and vehicles.
- Velyka Pysarivka community – administrative building and local cultural centre damaged.
- Mykolaivka community – private house damaged.
- Sumy community – private house damaged.
- Esman community – private house damaged.
- Bilopillia community – apartment blocks, private homes, and a grocery store damaged.
- Stepanivka community – non-residential, private, and multi-storey residential buildings damaged.
- Putyvl community – non-residential buildings damaged.
- Vorozhba community – non-residential buildings damaged.
Local authorities, together with the State Emergency Service, police, and NGOs, evacuated ten residents from border communities during the day.
Chernihiv oblast
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Administration, reported that on 8 October, a russian strike damaged a car in the centre of Semenivka town.
Oleksandr Kodola, Mayor of Nizhyn, said that the same day, russia launched a massive drone attack on Nizhyn, targeting vital infrastructure and transport logistics. Twelve Shahed drones struck the area, three of them reactive drones aimed at a freight train between Nosivka and Nizhyn. The attack damaged railway tracks, a Ukrzaliznytsia polyclinic and warehouse facilities, as well as a multi-storey residential building.
Ukrzaliznytsia confirmed that train traffic on Nizhyn line was disrupted, and several suburban and regional trains were temporarily suspended.
According to Regional Governor Viacheslav Chaus and the regional SES, russian forces also struck critical infrastructure across Chernihiv oblast, including an oil depot in Pryluky. In Semenivka, a drone hit an administrative building and another struck a local State Emergency Service (SES) fire station.
In Pryluky, heavy smoke was observed after a strike on a critical infrastructure facility outside the city. Residents were urged to limit outdoor activity due to possible air contamination.
Chernihivoblenergo informed that a russian drone attack on an energy facility in Nizhyn region left over 4,500 customers without electricity.
Overnight, in the border village of Chornyi Rih, Semenivka community, a russian drone struck a vehicle belonging to a private road repair company. The 56-year-old driver suffered multiple shrapnel wounds, a forearm fracture and concussion, and was hospitalised. The vehicle was destroyed in the ensuing fire.
According to Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi RMA, late on 7 October, in the nearby Zhadove village near Semenivka, a russian Molniya drone hit a residential house. A woman required medical attention.
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that throughout 7 October, russian troops attacked three border communities of the Chernihiv region — Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk — carrying out 62 strikes. The enemy used mortars, artillery, Shahed and Lancet drones, FPV drones and dropped explosive devices from UAVs.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Air defense forces were active across the region, successfully destroying 29 enemy drones overnight.
It was particularly tense in the Kryvyi Rih district, where Russian forces shelled the Zelenodolsk and Novopillia communities. A man and a woman were injured and received medical assistance. Infrastructure was damaged.
Throughout the evening and night, the enemy continued attacks on the Nikopol area, using artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, and drones. Strikes targeted Nikopol and the Marhanets community, injuring three civilians — men aged 45 and 26, and an 18-year-old woman. The shelling caused a fire and damaged 14 private and one apartment building, an enterprise, a religious facility, three outbuildings, six cars, and a gas pipeline.
Drones also targeted the Synelnykove district, hitting the Pokrovske and Mezhova communities. Fires broke out, and several buildings were damaged, including an apartment block and seven private houses.
In total, around 20 attacks were carried out on Nikopol district, combining artillery and drone strikes. Damage was reported to an enterprise, a private home, an outbuilding, and a garage. In the Synelnykove district, strikes hit the Mezhova and Vasylkivka communities, damaging a private house and agricultural machinery.
Vinnytsia oblast
It was reported that twelve defenders from Vinnytsia region were killed. They include: Viktor Bulgak, Volodymyr Minyaylo, Pavlo Rezident, Serhii Sovenko, Volodymyr Dvorskyi, Ruslan Mikheiev, Andrii Dalekyi, Vasyl Pysarenko, Maksym Blashchuk, Anatolii Novikov, Vasyl Khomenko, and Yaroslav Ratushniak.
The Vinnytsia community provided 350 FPV drones and a vehicle to support Ukrainian defenders. Assistance was delivered to the 14th Red Kalyna Brigade of the National Guard, the 131st Separate Reconnaissance Battalion, the 9th Separate UAV Brigade “Vinnytsia Scythians”, and the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade.
In Vinnytsia, specialists neutralized the warhead of an enemy missile that had been shot down by the Defense Forces in recent days. The missile did not explode upon impact, but the warhead was damaged. Police explosive ordnance disposal experts safely destroyed it via a controlled remote detonation, following all necessary safety measures.
Kirovohrad oblast
On the night of October 8, 12 internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Donetsk were accommodated in Znamianka, Kompaniivka, and Pomichna, including people with limited mobility, Regional Military Administration Head Andrii Raikovych reported.
The labor market in Kirovohrad region has changed due to the full-scale war and the mobilization of men. Some companies have left the market, some temporarily suspended operations, while others continue to develop. Before Russia’s invasion, the regional employment center recorded a workforce composition of 55% women and 45% men. Today, women make up 85% of registered job seekers, according to Tetiana Kesler, Head of the Employment Program Implementation Department at the regional employment center.
Poltava oblast
Funerals will be held for several fallen Ukrainian soldiers, including Vasyl Filenko from Kozelshchyna and Vitalii Shcherbyna from Hlobyne.
- Vasyl Mykolaiovych Filenko was killed on September 29, 2025, while performing a combat mission near Ternova, Kharkiv region.
- Vitalii Mykolaiovych Shcherbyna died on September 9, 2023, from Russian artillery shelling near Vodyane, Donetsk region.
Other fallen defenders include Roman Didenko from the Novosanzhary community, and Artem Pashchenko and Oleksii Leonenko from Lubny district:
- Roman Didenko died on October 3, 2025, from a mine-explosion injury affecting multiple parts of his body. He passed away in Barvinkove City Hospital, Kharkiv region.
- Artem Pashchenko was killed on October 3, 2025, as a result of enemy mortar shelling during a combat mission.
- Oleksii Leonenko died on October 5, 2025, on the Kharkiv front while performing a combat mission.
In Shcherbani village, near Poltava, locals are addressing the aftermath of a Shahed drone attack. Russian forces shelled the Shcherbani community overnight on October 7, damaging six houses across two streets. Homeowners received construction materials and will be provided financial compensation, Deputy Village Head Tetiana Podzorova reported.
On the night of October 3, Russian shelling in Poltava damaged municipal infrastructure, including greenhouses of the communal enterprise “Decorative Cultures”. Preliminary losses are estimated at over UAH 1.3 million. The shelling also damaged several utility facilities, the boiler house roof and doors, window frames, electrical wiring, and lighting systems.
Cherkasy oblast
During a nighttime attack, air defense forces destroyed 15 enemy strike drones (UAVs). There were no casualties and no damage to infrastructure, Regional Military Administration Head Ihor Taburets reported.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Today, 8 October, russian forces carried out two FAB airstrikes on Huliaipole. A 77-year-old woman sustained head injuries.
Yesterday, 7 October, the occupiers launched 510 attacks on 16 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy conducted one missile strike on Komyshuvakha. russian forces carried out 10 airstrikes on Huliaipole, Bilohiria, Uspenivka, Poltavka, and Novouspenivske. 317 drones of various types (mostly FPV) targeted Malokaterynivka, Plavni, Stepove, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Poltavka, Charivne, and Bilohiria. Six MLRS attacks hit Stepove, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Poltavka. There were 176 artillery strikes on the territories of Plavni, Stepove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Charivne, Poltavka, and Bilohiria. Twenty-eight reports about damaged houses, apartments, farm buildings, and vehicles were received.
As of 4:00 pm on 8 October, five combat clashes had taken place since the beginning of the day — the occupiers tried to advance near Stepove and Novoandriivka towards Orikhiv. Over the past day, 7 October, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 19 russian attacks towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv.
Mykolaiv oblast
During the night, air defense forces shot down or neutralized two Shahed-type drones or other types of decoy UAVs in the region.
Yesterday, the enemy attacked Ochakiv community three times with FPV drones. There were no casualties.
Odesa oblast
During the night, the enemy attacked Odesa region with strike drones. The windows of an administrative building at a civilian infrastructure facility and an outbuilding were damaged. A fire broke out but was quickly extinguished.
896 households were left without electricity due to the attack. Repair crews began emergency restoration work immediately after receiving clearance from military command and rescuers. By morning, the power supply was fully restored.
The 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, presented a documentary titled “On the Edge of Time,” which tells the story of evacuating wounded and fallen soldiers from the front lines. Kherson oblast
Around 8:30 am an elderly woman was injured in Kherson as a result of a russian attack. A 65-year-old resident of Kherson was taken to the hospital with a blast injury and leg wounds.
Around 7:30 am, russian forces attacked Korabelnyi district of Kherson. A 62-year-old woman and an elderly man, whose identity is still being established, were killed in the strike. A 55-year-old woman was hospitalized with a blast injury and wounds to her torso and limbs.
A man who had been injured the previous day in a russian shelling of Tsentralnyi district of Kherson sought medical help. The 34-year-old suffered a blast injury and concussion.
Another man injured the previous evening in a russian strike on Dniprovskyi district of Kherson was hospitalized with blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to his legs.
Yesterday, 7 October, the enemy attacked Antonivka, Sadove, Zelenivka, Inzhenerne, Komyshany, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Kizomys, Romashkove, Dniprovske, Inhulets, Mykilske, Poniativka, Tomaryne, Beryslav, Mykhailivka, Novovoskresenske, Novoraisk, Osokorivka, Kostyrka, Olhivka, Tiahynka, Chervonyi Maiak, Kozatske, and the city of Kherson. As a result of the attacks, eight apartment buildings, seven private houses, a cell tower, an administrative building, private cars, and a gas pipeline were damaged. The gas leak was contained, and there are currently no fire hazards. One person was killed and 15 others were injured due to russian aggression.

Volyn oblast
Lutsk City Council reported that Mayor Ihor Polishchuk met with family members of the fallen defenders of Ukraine and presented state awards posthumously to their relatives.
Zakarpattia oblast
The oblast became the venue for the 5th meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Interreg VI-A NEXT program Poland – Ukraine 2021 – 2027. It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy of the Republic of Poland, the European Commission, the European Projects Center, the Joint Secretariat of the Program in Warsaw, as well as representatives of the Secretariat of the CMU and the RMA of 6 western oblasts of Ukraine. Partners from Polish regions joined online.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The RMA reported that the final of the national selection for the Strong Spirit’s Games was held in the Carpathian region, where over 220 veterans from all over the country gathered.
Lviv oblast
In September, Lviv Regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine transported 53 citizens abroad for treatment. 3 of them were in serious condition. 21 accompanying persons were transported with them. Also, 29 citizens returned to Ukraine after completing treatment and rehabilitation.
Pustomyty community allocated UAH 2.827m to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and donated a Nissan Navara to the Military Unit A0998. In Zymna Voda, a concert and fair raised over UAH 250,000. Students, teachers, and parents of Horodotsky Educational Complex №2 organized a fair and raised almost UAH 113,000 for the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo and the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade.
Rivne oblast
Rivne oblast continues to implement the Traffic Without Barriers project. Over UAH 93m has been allocated from the state budget for its implementation. These funds will be used to carry out work on 49 objects included in the first barrier-free route in the regional center.
Ternopil oblast
The 6th Separate Ranger Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received 50 FPV quadcopters True Flex 10 and 2 DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters from Ternopil community.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi City Council allocated UAH 46m for the purchase of housing for military personnel. In addition, UAH 8m was allocated for grant support in the defense sector.
Chernivtsi oblast
The 8th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion received ST Monkey ground control stations and DJI Matrice 4T drones from Chernivtsi community.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Estonia will transfer over 150 THeMIS combat robots to Ukraine. Some of the machines will be assembled and delivered in partnership with the VDL Defentec Dutch company.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Pere Juan Pons Sampietro, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. They discussed joint efforts to return Ukrainian children, prisoners of war and civilians illegally detained by russia.
