It has been the 1566  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:

Since the start of the day, the aggressor has attacked the Defence Forces’ positions 60 times.

Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, in Sumy oblast, the settlements of Ryzhivka, Korenok, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Buniakyne, Prohres, Malushyne, Ulanove, Volfyne, Neskuchne, Sopych and Yastrubshchyna were hit; in Chernihiv oblast – Kostobobriv, Senkivka, Hremiach and Kliusy.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, one combat engagement took place; the enemy carried out 23 attacks on settlements and our troops’ positions, one of which involved the use of a multiple launch rocket system.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the invaders attempted five times to breach the defences in the areas of the settlements of Vovchanski Khutory, Lyman, Starytsia and towards Volokhivka.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked the Defence Forces’ positions once today towards the settlement of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi.

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian troops repelled nine attempts by the invaders to advance in the area of Novoselivka and towards Drobysheve, Dibrova and Lyman. Five engagements are currently ongoing.

Towards Sloviansk, the Defence Forces successfully repelled nine attempts by the invaders to advance towards the settlements of Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka and in the areas of Riznykivka, Zakytne and Lypivka. One further engagement is ongoing.

Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations.

Towards Kostiantynivka, our defenders repelled four attacks near the settlements of Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka and Illinivka.

Towards Pokrovsk, since the start of the day, the occupiers have attempted 28 times to dislodge our troops from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Kotlyne and towards the settlements of Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Novopidhorodne and Dorozhne. Towards Orikhiv, the enemy twice stormed the positions of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbaky and Plavni.

Towards Kherson, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations.

In other sectors, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.

Ukrainian troops are wearing down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.

The Ministry of Defence has granted permission to three dozen Ukrainian companies to form their own air defence units, which will operate as part of the country’s overall airspace defence system. Some of these groups have already begun carrying out their tasks and are seeing initial results. During their shifts, they have destroyed more than twenty russian drones, including both Zala-type reconnaissance aircraft and Shahed strike drones, including the rocket-powered variant.

Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, stated that Ukraine has developed autonomous Shahed interceptor drones. The technology, which automates 95% of the entire interception process, from launching the drone to destroying the Shahed, was created by a member of Brave1. The innovation works in such a way that the operator sees the movement of targets in real time, selects a target and gives the command to engage. The system then independently guides the drone to the target, autonomously recognises and locks onto the Shahed.

In the temporarily occupied Rubizhne, artificially created disruptions to food supplies have begun. Shop shelves are emptying rapidly, and russian propaganda attributes this to alleged disruptions to transport links due to the threat of UAVs. At the same time, the occupiers are finding ways to supply their own troops, whilst local residents are once again being used as tools for propaganda purposes.

In Siverskodonetsk, residents are forced to mow the grass in their neighbourhoods and clean up the areas around their buildings themselves. Household waste has not been collected from the neighbourhoods for months, and the municipal services set up by the occupiers are effectively inactive.
