During the day of 7 May, there were 64x tactical engagements.
The enemy launched a total of 1x missile and 40x airstrikes, 72x MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have wounded civilians. Residential apartment blocks and private houses, as well as other infrastructure, got destroyed and damaged.
Volyn and Polissia axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the russian areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy conducts subversion, continues shelling of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. More than 10x settlements, including Bilopillia, Khotin, Zapsillia (Sumy oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
Kupiansk and Lyman axes: the Ukrainian defenders repelled x attacks in the vicinities of Synkivka, Pishchane (Kharkiv oblast), Stelmakhivka (Luhansk oblast), where the enemy, using air attacks, attempted to improve its tactical position. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).
Lyman axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 2x attacks in the vicinity of Nevske (Luhansk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Makiivka, Nevske (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampolivka, Torske (Donetsk oblast).
Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 10x attacks in the vicinities of Verkhnokamianske, Vyimka, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Ivanivske, Novyi, Andriivka (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, with air support, attempted to improve its tactical position. The adversary launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Druzhba (Donetsk oblast). More than 10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Klishchiivka, Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast).
Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 18x attacks in the vicinities of Oleksandropil, Novooleksandrivka, Prohres, Yevhenivka, Novoselivka Persha, Umanske, Netailove (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, with air support, made attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions. The adversary launched an airstrike northwest of Ocheretyne (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Kalynove, Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovske, Umanske (Donetsk oblast).
Novopavlivka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Vodiane and Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders, using air attacks, made 7x attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The invaders launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Paraskoviivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maksymilianivka, Kostiantynivka (Donetsk oblast).
Orikhiv axis: the enemy launched 4x assaults on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast), Robotyne and northwest of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The adversary launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Komyshuvakha (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20x settlements, including Malynivka, Chervone, Robotyne, Piatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
Kherson axis: the enemy does not abandon its intention to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. In particular during the day of 7 May, the invaders, with air support, executed 2x unsuccessful assaults on positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Krynky (Kherson oblast). The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Chervonyi Maiak, Ivanivka and Dniprovske (Kherson oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 20 settlements, including Lvove, Inzhenerne, Antonivka (Kherson oblast).
During the day of 7 May, the Ukrainian Air Force and Missile Forces launched strikes on 1x 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortar, 1x command post, 5x concentrations of troops of the invaders.
Ukraine has stated that it does not recognise putin as the legitimate president of russia and called on the world to do the same.
During the large-scale war, russia destroyed or damaged at least 1062 cultural monuments in Ukraine. Specifically, among the damaged or destroyed monuments, 123 are of national importance, 864 are of local importance and 75 are newly discovered cultural heritage sites. In total, cultural heritage sites have been damaged or destroyed in 18 oblasts: most of them in Kharkiv (299), Kherson (144), Donetsk (125), Odesa (115), and Chernihiv (71).
Also russians are destroying Ukrainian churches and torturing priests in the occupied territories. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia has destroyed or damaged about 630 religious buildings. Most of them are in Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson oblasts. It has been recorded that some churches and houses of worship were looted by the russian military, closed or converted into administrative buildings by the occupation authorities.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff, towards Kupiansk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 11 russian attacks near Synkivka, Pishchane and Stelmakhivka. About 10 settlements were under russian artillery and mortar attack, including Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Berestove.
Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that at night russians attacked Kolodiazne of Dvoricha community with a preliminary UMPB D-30. A 72-year-old woman was injured. Also, according to the press service, two people were injured in Borova, a 16-year-old girl and her father. Two other women, aged 51 and 54, suffered an acute stress reaction.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov informed that Kharkiv underground school can start classes as it has received permission to use it. Olha Demenko, Director of the city’s education department said that the underground school in Kharkiv will start operating on 13 May and a trial lesson will be held there this Saturday. According to her, in May, more than 600 children from 11 schools in Industrialnyi district will study in the underground school, and from 1 September, more than 1,000 students will be enrolled.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that there were no attacks on Kharkiv.
About 14 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered artillery and mortar attacks: Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Berestove and others. Zolochiv, Petropavlivka and Borova were hit by airstrikes.
The day before, at 10:20pm, a 16-year-old girl, a 55-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were injured as a result of a shelling by a UAV on private houses in Borova village, Izium region.
At 6:15pm, a two-storey apartment building was damaged as a result of shelling in Lyptsi village, Kharkiv region.
At 5:09pm, a tractor, trees, two outbuildings and the building of the destroyed cafe were burning as a result of the shelling Cherkaski Tyshky village of Kharkiv region.
At 4:40pm, the roofs of the houses and the roof of the outbuilding were burning as a result of the shelling Kozacha Lopan village of Kharkiv region.
A 55-year-old man was killed as a result of the explosion of an unknown device on the territory of a private household in Blyzniuky village of Lozova region.
On 6 May, at 11:24am, 2 private houses were damaged as a result of hostile artillery shelling in Vovchansk.
112 children with their families were evacuated from certain settlements of Bohodukhiv, Izium and Kharkiv regions: Zolochiv community – 15; Borova community – 4; Derhachi community – 63; Lyptsi community – 30.
Yesterday Ukrainian troops repelled 14 attacks towards Kupiansk, including Synkivka, Pishchane and Berestove.
Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 33.23 hectares of mines and destroyed 644 explosive ordnance.
Donetsk oblast
Olena Filipova, Medical Director of the multidisciplinary intensive care hospital, reported that one of the four men injured in the shelling of Kostiantynivka on 6 May has undergone surgery and was sent to a hospital in Dnipro. Three other injured men are being treated on an outpatient basis in a local hospital.
Stanislav Baldin, Spokesman of the State Emergency Service in Donetsk oblast, informed that four people were evacuated from Kalynove in Pokrovsk region by rescuers on 6 May. Donetsk police added that yesterday they helped more than half a thousand residents leave the oblast.
The operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of 7 May is as follows:
Towards Bolnovakha, a house was damaged in Velyka Novosilka.
Towards Pokrovsk, an infrastructure facility was damaged in Yelyzavetivka of Marinka community. Kurakhove, Kurakhivka and Veselyi Hai of Kurakhove community were shelled.
Towards Kramatorsk, a garage was destroyed in Zarichne of Lyman community. In Illinivsk community, 4 houses were damaged: 2 in Kalynove and 2 in Stara Mykolaivka.
Towards Bakhmut, 3 apartment buildings, an administrative building and an infrastructure facility were damaged in Toretsk. 10 private houses and 2 outbuildings were damaged in Chasiv Yar community.

In just one day, russians shelled settlements in Donetsk oblast 11 times. 506 people, including 51 children, were evacuated from the frontline.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that russians killed 1 civilian in Petrivka. Another 4 people in the oblast were injured.
Luhansk oblast
The russian army attacked 3 times from multiple launch rocket systems near Makiivka. They also used cannon artillery and mortars there. The enemy targeted Nevske, Stelmakhivka and Kuzemivka. 14 unmanned aerial vehicles attempted to attack positions of Ukrainian troops.
As in the previous days, the invaders put pressure in Luhansk oblast in all three directions. Specifically, near Stelmakhivka and Bilohorivka, they used aircraft. Their offensives near Nevske and in Serebrianka forest do not stop.
Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that last year, the occupation authorities introduced the practice of courses for future managers in the so-called “lpr”. Since then, just a few weeks of training have been enough to obtain the appropriate qualification according to russian standards. The rapid programme has already trained 6,000 collaborators. This year, it is planned to cover at least 7,000 more.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
On 6 May, Krzysztof Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Poland, paid a working visit to Kyiv. He met with Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The topic of the visit was Poland’s assistance to Ukraine, especially in the field of communication systems and cybersecurity. During the visit, a memorandum of cooperation in the digital sector was signed between the two countries.
In Brussels, during a speech to the EU-Ukraine Defense Industry Forum, EU High Representative Josep Borrell said that the EU would open an innovation office in Kyiv at the end of the year. This initiative will facilitate the growth of Ukrainian startups and defence companies.
In Kyiv oblast, the Security Service detained an FSB agent group preparing coordinates for massive air strikes against Ukraine on Easter Eve. According to the SSU, energy generating enterprises and logistics warehouses for storing fuel and oil materials were among the enemy’s priority targets. The criminals are in custody. They may face life imprisonment.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has opened a new recruitment information point at the Central Railway Station in Kyiv. Information at the recruitment centre will be provided by employees of Ukrzaliznytsia.
The RMA reported that the construction of a dual-purpose radiation shelter for students of the Obladovanist lyceum is underway in Bila Tserkva region. The construction will be carried out in compliance with barrier-free access requirements. The new shelter will allow the lyceum to conduct classes in a full-time format according to all safety standards.
The city council announced the successful testing of an armoured blanket from a Ukrainian manufacturer that protects against debris and firearms. As noted, it can be used as a stretcher for evacuating the wounded, fortifying defences, protecting the military, and armoring vehicles.
Serhii Khrapko, the AFU veteran, organised a charity walking marathon. On 6 May, he set off from Kyiv to Boryspil, with the goal of raising UAH 650,000 for the rehabilitation of his fellow soldier Oleksandr Nadtochii. Serhii Khrapko has war injuries, his arm and leg are amputated. Nevertheless, he decided to cover the distance of about 18km on a prosthesis.
Zhytomyr oblast
According to Zhytomyr Mayor Serhii Sukhomlyn, the city plans to completely dismantle Lyceum No. 25, which was destroyed by a russian missile strike, and build a two-building school in its place. Portugal has made a commitment to rebuild Zhytomyr lyceum, according to the agreements signed in 2021.

In three northern communities of Zhytomyr oblast, mobile medical teams are delivering patients to hospitals or clinics as part of their work. The services will operate in the remote settlements of Olevsk, Slovechne and Narodychi communities. The new option applies to patients with disabilities and serious illnesses who have received electronic referrals from mobile medical team doctors and cannot get to the hospital on their own.
Sumy oblast
According to the RMA report, on the afternoon of 6 May, russians attacked the energy infrastructure of Sumy oblast again, at 3 they struck at energy facilities in Bilopillia community. The community was left without electricity as a result of the shelling. To recap, on the night of 6 May, an energy infrastructure facility in Sumy was damaged by an enemy attack from a Shahed UAV.
After the russian attack on 6 May, more than 400,000 residents in 1325 settlements were cut off from electricity. Power supply has now been almost fully restored in the oblast. As of 4pm, all water utility facilities are back in operation, electricity and water supply to three hospitals restored, and street lights in the city will not be turned on for now.
In Nova Sloboda community of Konotop region, a civilian born in 1985 was killed on 6 May under shelling from russian territory. The russian military shelled the community with artillery and launched air strikes. An agricultural enterprise was also damaged.
In Krasnopillia, the village council informed that on the afternoon of 6 May, the russian army shelled the village of Uhroidy with artillery. Three wounded were reported, including two children born in 2009 and 2010. All the victims were hospitalised. The shelling damaged the local residents’ houses. The RMA noted that the enemy launched 17 artillery strikes, 1 Lancet UAV strike and dropped an explosive device from a UAV on the community’s territory.
According to the city council of the Vorozhbiansk community, the shelling damaged an industrial enterprise. The russian military conducted an air strike on the community’s territory, as well as artillery attack.
The RMA reported that in total, over the past day, russians fired Sumy oblast border areas and settlements 31 times with 169 explosions recorded. 11 communities were shelled: Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Vorozhba, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske.
Also, according to the RMA information, russians killed 1 person and wounded 4 (including 2 children) in Sumy oblast by shelling on 6 May. On the communities territory, 10 houses, 3 private households, 6 apartment buildings, 8 vehicles, 2 elevators, 2 administrative buildings, energy and critical infrastructure facilities were damaged. The company’s hangar was destroyed, a tank with fuel and lubricants caught fire.
The RMA reported that at night and in the morning of 7 May, russians attacked Sumy oblast five times. A total of 21 explosions were recorded – artillery, mortar and air strikes by the KAB. Bilopillia, Hlukhiv and Esman communities were shelled.
Andrii Zhavoronkov, head of the bank branch, informed that the premises of the local bank were damaged by Grad shelling of Bilopillia on 7 May. Four employees who were inside survived.

Chernihiv oblast
Over the past day, russian troops fired 5 times at the border of Chernihiv oblast. According to the State Border Guard Service, 4 communities were under enemy attack: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Snovsk, and Horodnia. A total of 20 explosions were recorded: 4 helicopter-launched rocket attacks, 4 cannon artillery attacks, and 12 mortar attacks.
Olena Zhuravel, head of the community, explained that thanks to a grant from UNICEF, an educational space was equipped in the shelter of the Malodivytske lyceum in Pryluchchyna. Thanks to this, the children were able to go to full-time education not interrupted even during air raids. The shelter has all the necessary furniture, a charging station for gadgets, a nurse’s office and two separate restrooms.
Viktor Hrynenko, director of the Training and Methodological Center for Vocational Education in Chernihiv oblast, said that this year vocational education institutions in Chernihiv oblast plan to equip workshops for a total of more than UAH 50m. The state will allocate UAH 22m of this amount, and the rest will be co-financed from local budgets and donations. According to the director, a total of six training centres are planned to be set up in oblast. Four of them will be funded by the state, and two by philanthropists.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
The occupiers shelled the area late in the evening and at night, hitting the regions centre , Myrove and Marhanets communities with kamikaze drones and artillery. A shop, 3 private houses and an outbuilding were damaged. There were no casualties.
The enemy shelling in the region’s centre injured 4 people. In the morning, two women aged 91 and 50 were wounded. They were hospitalised in moderate condition. In the evening, the enemy hit a minibus with a kamikaze drone. Two men, aged 37 and 40, were wounded. One of them is critically wounded. In total, there were 16 attacks with drones and artillery in the area. Nikopol, Pokrovsk, Myrove and Marhanets communities were hit. More than a dozen private houses were damaged, a car burned down and the minibus was damaged, 3 outbuildings, 3 garages, a greenhouse, a greenhouse and power lines were hit.
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of RMA, reported that the Medical and Charitable Aid France-Ukraine Association handed over 3 modern ambulances to the rescuers. These vehicles will be used by the Special Purpose Emergency and Rescue Unit of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovs’k Oblast. The vehicles are equipped with all the necessary equipment.
Vinnytsia oblast
The City Council reported that 3 vehicles, 60 FPV drones and 6 Mavic 3Ts were handed over to a unit of the National Guard of Ukraine (military unit 3008) in Vinnytsia.
Serhio Borzov, Head of RMA, reported that Vasyl Hrabiichuk, a defender from Vinnytsia oblast, received a medal “To the Defender of Ukraine” from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The soldier is currently a member of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Handziuk.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of RMA, reported that another batch of drones was handed over by Kirovohrad residents to the soldiers of the 412th Battalion, who are currently holding positions in the hottest spots towards Donetsk. Vitamin support to strengthen the immune system was added to the drones.
In five communities of Kirovohrad oblast, people said goodbye to those killed in the war with russia. These are Roman Sosnovskyi, Yurii Bukartyk, Ivan Korenskyi, Mykola Opryshko and Mykola Polishchuk.
Poltava oblast
A plaque was unveiled in Poltava in honour of Volodymyr Kiselov, who served in the SBU. This was done on the second anniversary of his death. The defender was a member of the Alpha special forces and held the rank of captain. Zyhina Street was renamed in his honour, and one of the sides of the building where the plaque will be placed faces it.
The City Council reported that the owner of the house where a piece of russian drone fell the night before on 6 May will receive help. Several buildings on the territory of its farm were damaged by shelling.
Cherkasy oblast
Anton Kovalenko, who fell in the war, was posthumously awarded the Order of the Golden Star from Chyhyryn region. The President of Ukraine presented the highest state award to the family of the fallen defender.
In Monastyryshchyn region, the mother of the fallen defender Bohdan Hasiuk was presented with her son’s posthumous award, the Order “For Courage” of the III degree.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 6 May, the occupiers launched 291 strikes on Zaporizhzhia oblast. 8 settlements were under enemy attack. 102 UAVs of various modifications attacked Chervonodniprovka, Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Novoandriivka. 5 MLRS strikes hit Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne. 184 artillery strikes were conducted on Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Levadne and Malynivka. The police registered 10 reports of destruction. Houses of citizens and objects of the energy infrastructure were damaged.
2 russian airstrikes hit Komyshuvakha village in Zaporizhzhia oblast. A civilian man was injured. Buildings were damaged by the shockwave and debris, causing a fire.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian border guards staged a shootout with deadly drones in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Defenders shot down 12 enemy drones attacking civilian and critical infrastructure, while 2 were safely landed.
Southern Defence Forces of Ukraine reported that on 6 May, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 135 russian military personnel, 2 field supply points, and 3 observation posts in Orikhiv axis (Zaporizhzhia oblast) and Kherson axis. Also, 26 units of enemy weapons and military equipment were destroyed, including:
1 tank;
13 cannons;
1 mortar;
6 armored vehicles;
3 reconnaissance UAVs;
1 aerial photography station;
1 boat.
Referring to Viktoriia Halitsyna, Head of Berdiansk CRA, the russian occupiers decided to seize the land of resort town residents who had evacuated from temporarily occupied territories. Landowners are required to provide a copy of property documents by 12 June.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to Mykolaiv RMA, on 6 May, the air defence forces shot down a Lancet UAV in Mykolaiv oblast. Also, at 11:43pm yesterday, the enemy conducted mortar shelling in the waters of Ochakiv community. There were no casualties reported.
Olena Horbachova, Deputy Chief of the Civil Defense Department, reported that since the start of the full-scale invasion by the russian federation in Mykolaiv oblast, 94 people were injured as a result of explosive devices, including 9 children. Among them, 75 adults and 8 children were injured, and 19 individuals, including 1 child killed.
During the recent period, a significant area of territory has been surveyed and cleared, including over 18 thousand hectares. During the clearance operations, 50,000 explosive devices were removed, including 69 aerial bombs.
Odesa oblast
Based on the information provided by the press service of the Air Force of Armed Forces of Ukraine on 7 May around 2pm, 2 guided aviation missiles, X-59/X-69, were destroyed in Odesa oblast by the Anti-Aircraft Missile Units of Odesa Brigade.
During a meeting in Odesa, Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi discussed assistance in rebuilding civilian infrastructure, including churches, educational institutions, and cultural heritage sites destroyed by russian attacks. The President believes cooperation will provide both countries new economic and social opportunities and create additional job opportunities.
According to UNN, Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa RMA, met with the UN Resident & Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine, Denis Brown. They discussed the need for repairs and construction of shelters in educational and healthcare institutions, continuation of funding for light and medium repairs for damaged housing for vulnerable populations, provision of financial assistance and repair kits for urgent needs to residents whose homes have been destroyed due to russian attacks.
Environmental experts reported significant environmental damage caused by a russian attack on a transport and logistics object of port infrastructure in Odesa oblast, which occurred on 21 April. The explosive wave and missile debris led to significant pollution and destruction. More than 6,000 sq m of land was contaminated with metal debris and construction waste. According to preliminary estimates, the damage from this pollution amounted to over UAH 49m.
Kherson oblast
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that on 6 May, 17 settlements came under russian attack: Antonivka, Ivanivka, Blahovishchenske, Dniprovskе, Tokarivka, Inzhenerne, Sadove, Pryozernе, Stanislav, Kizomys, Veletenske, Beryslav, Respublikanets, Shliakhove, Novooleksandrivka, Chervonyi Mayak and Kherson.
As a result of enemy attacks, 1 person was injured. The russian military targeted residential areas, damaging 2 high-rise buildings and 16 private houses. There were hits on administrative buildings, office premises, gas pipelines and private vehicles.
On the morning of 7 May, russian forces shelled Bilozirka village near Kherson. Private houses were damaged, and a 51-year-old woman injured.
Based on the information provided by the press service of the Southern Defence Forces of Ukraine, on 6 May, occupying forces unsuccessfully attempted to storm positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the left (occupied) bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson oblast 3 times. Having suffered losses, the enemy retreated to their original positions.
According to activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement, a food crisis is escalating in the occupied territory of Kherson. In Hola Prystan, Oleshky, Nova Kakhovka and Kakhovka, there are problems with food, especially with bread availability. Prices for products are high, or the goods are completely absent.
With the financial support of the Government of Japan and the United Nations Development Programme, the communal vehicle fleet of Kherson oblast has been expanded with 25 dump trucks. The specialised equipment has already been handed over to the communities.

Volyn oblast
Lutsk community sent 20 multi-rotor UAVs of the FPV 8-inch type with a day camera to the A1008 Military Unit of the 3rd Mechanised Battalion.
Zakarpattia oblast
This week, the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center provided IDPs registered in Uzhgorod with 35 packages with necessary things for children under 1 year old and 60 bags with grocery sets. During the week, volunteers gave out clothes, shoes, bed linen and dishes (950 items) from the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV and other benefactors.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The RMA reported that Mykhailo Yavorskyi, defender from Prykarpattia, was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Golden Star order (posthumously).
Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that in the city memorial boards were installed on the facade of the Lyceum named after Mykola Sabat to fallen defenders Yurii Stetsik and Ostap Brynskyi.
Lviv oblast
Volodymyr Berdal, senior soldier of the 7th Border Carpathian Detachment, received the III degree For Courage state award by the President of Ukraine. While carrying out a combat mission, he showed courage and destroyed the personnel of the occupiers and their ammunition with a well-aimed shot. The personnel of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment was also awarded the For Courage and Courage Order. It was handed over to Colonel Oleh Trofimenko, Head of the detachment.
Volodymyr Zvir, resident of the village of Velyke Kolodno of Zhovtanets community, was posthumously awarded the III degree Degree For Courage of state award. On 25 August 2023, while performing a combat mission as part of the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he came under mortar fire in the area of Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast. He died from his injuries.
Rivne oblast
An anonymous report was received about the mining of the building of Rivne RMA and the Regional Council. According to the protocol, the workers were evacuated. Special services conducted an inspection of the premises. No explosive objects were found.
Employees of Rivne NPP purchased 5-10 kW 41 generators worth UAH 1m for Kharkiv as part of the Give Light to Kharkiv campaign. Rivne oblast actively participated in the collection of aid. In total, over 1,000 sources of alternative power were collected in the oblast.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil City Council reported that the community sent the DJI Mavic 3T quadcopter to the military.
Ternopil sent a Volvo FE 6 truck to the one of the territorial defence units where Ternopil residents serve from Swedish partners.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The 39th session of Khmelnytskyi City Council took place. It was decided to allocate UAH 60,000 each to 20 families of prisoners and missing persons. The priorities of the Participation Budget have been changed with the strengthening of defence and the rehabilitation of military personnel and their families
Chernivtsi oblast
In the first quarter of 2024, Volokiv community allocated UAH 120,000 from the local budget to the military. A significant part of the funds went to the purchase of quadcopters for the 3113 Military Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine. The community also allocated funds to military personnel for social support under a special program. In addition, the community decided to provide 16 children of military personnel with free meals in educational institutions.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Eyup Macedonsi, Head of the Ministry of Defense of Kosovo, revealed the details of the package of military aid to Ukraine, includes mortar shells of 120mm, 60mm, 81mm, military trucks for the transportation of personnel and weapons, armoured vehicles, tactical vehicles to support units in Ukraine in the transport and operational aspect . In addition, Kosovo trains Ukrainian demining specialists. Kosovo has already sent the 1st batch of aid to Ukraine, namely, tactical vehicles and armoured vehicles.
Margarita Robles, Minister of Defense of Spain, stated that missiles for Patriot air defence systems from allies have already arrived in Ukraine. She also condemned russia’s use of cluster bombs against the civilian population.
Lithuania will join the initiative to supply air defence systems to Ukraine.
Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, announced that Poland will extend the subscription fee for Starlink terminals for Ukraine.
Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, announced that the government supported the draft law on the ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey. Then it will be submitted to the Parliament. It is noted that with the adoption of the law, customs duties on a significant number of Ukrainian goods, including 93% of industrial goods, will be abolished.
Gitanas Nauseda, Lithuanian President, had a phone conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine. They discussed military assistance to Kyiv with air defence.
Olaf Scholz, German Chancellor, arrived in Riga and met with Evika Silinea, Prime Minister of Latvia and Ingrida Simonite and Kaja Kallas, Heads of governments of Lithuania and Estonia. They discussed issues related to security, defence and support of Ukraine.
Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, held the 4th round of negotiations with the US. They discussed the most fundamental provisions of the agreement, the wording of a number of issues, and also determined the date of the next round of negotiations.
