War in Ukraine today: latest news, 07 June, 2024 (photo)

It has been the 835th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 7:30 pm:   

On 7 June, the number of combat clashes along the entire front line increased to 65.

In the afternoon, russian invaders continued to terrorize Kharkiv oblast with airstrikes from their territory. In particular, from Murom area (russia), the russian aggressor struck with four KABs at Bilyi Kolodiaz, dropped three KABs on Lyptsi and one KAB on Vesele. Ternove was hit by two airstrikes by sixteen NARs.  

Towards Kupiansk, the Defense Forces repelled 7 enemy attacks. One clash is still ongoing. According to preliminary data, the losses of the occupiers in this area amounted to 84 people killed and wounded, two tanks and two armoured combat vehicles destroyed.

Towards Lyman, all 8 assaults of the enemy were unsuccessful. Ukrainian soldiers are in control of the situation.

Towards Siversk, the enemy tried to attack the Defense Forces near Bilohorivka twice. Also to no avail.

Towards Kramatorsk, russian troops tried seven times to push Ukrainian units from their positions near Kalynivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka and Ivanivske. All attempts were unsuccessful. 

Towards Pokrovsk, out of 26 battles, 12 clashes are still ongoing. russian invaders are attacking near the settlements of Novooleksandrivka, Yevhenivka, Sokil and Yasnobrodivka.

Towards Kurakhove, the number of attacks increased to 9. Ukrainian defenders repelled eight assaults by russian invaders. Another clash continues. In the vicinity of Vodiane, the enemy launched an airstrike from the Su-25 with ten NARs.  

Towards Orikhiv, the aggressor also uses aviation. Two Ka-52s struck Kamianske with thirty NARs. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian soldiers have repelled 3 enemy assaults near Robotyne. Fighting continues near Mala Tokmachka.

In other areas, the situation has not changed significantly.

Dmytro Lazutkin, Spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, informs that through the Reserve+ mobile application, 190,000 women updated their data. In total, 1.371, 000 people updated their data through this application. 

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Head of Ukrenergo, says that an additional unit of one nuclear power plant will start operating tonight to improve the situation for a short time. Therefore, outage schedules will become “softer”, but they will not disappear at all.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The press service of the city council said said that Naftohaz will transfer a gas-piston power plant to Kharkiv to generate heat and electricity. It was built in 2007 but has not been used.

Yurii Fedorenko, Commander of the Achilles UAV battalion, confirmed that soldiers of the 92nd Separate Mechanised Brigade repelled several enemy positions near Hlyboke village on the northern border of Kharkiv oblast. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to push russians back in this area of the frontline. Fedorenko calls the situation on the border in Kharkiv oblast stabilised. According to a report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 7:30pm, in the afternoon of 7 June, russians launched airstrikes with UAVs on Lyptsi, Bilyi Kolodiaz and Vesele towards Kharkiv. Also russian aviation dropped 16 unguided bombs on Ternove

Yurii Povkh, Spokesman of the Kharkiv military unit, reported that towards Lyptsi, on 5 June, an unauthorised abandonment of positions by one of the russian units was recorded: about 25 people “fled” from the front line.

The press service of Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office said that a russian drone hit a car with two women inside. It happened at around 1:20pm in Kozacha Lopan. According to the press service, the 62-year-old driver and 65-year-old passenger were injured and are being treated.

1The Ministry of Health confirmed that 11-year-old Sashko, who lost his right leg as a result of russian shelling of Malyi Burluk, has undergone prosthetics. On 18 January, a russian aerial bomb hit near the boy and his sister. Sashko underwent traumatic amputation, his 13-year-old sister was critically injured and died in intensive care 10 days later. The injured boy underwent surgery in Kharkiv and then spent three months in a hospital in Kyiv. Sashko received his prosthesis in Lviv, where he is currently staying.

At night at 2:06am, the roof of a house, window glazing and two outbuildings were damaged as a result of a Shahed UAV hitting the ground in Lyzohubivka village of Bezliudivka community, Kharkiv region.

At 12:40am, Chuhuiv was hit. As a result of the UAV hitting the ground, a car, a fence, a water pipe, windows of a nine-storey and a five-storey building, an outpatient clinic, a shop, a post office and a service station were damaged.

The day before, on 7 June, at 12:30am, UAVs and S-300s shelled the territory of the recreation centre in Malynivka village, Chuhuiv region. The buildings and property were damaged.

At 3:50pm, Bilyi Kolodiaz village, Chuhuiv region, was damaged. The KAB attack hit an open area, there was no information about the destruction and casualties.

At 11:20am,  the buildings of a private household were destroyed as a result of the hostile shelling of Tomakhivka village, Chuhuiv region.

At 11sm, a tractor hit a Butterfly mine in Nova Hnylytsia village of Chkalovske community, Chuhuiv region, the driver was injured and taken to a medical facility.

At 8:50am, a man exploded on an unknown explosive device on the territory of Izium town cemetery while digging a burial pit, he was hospitalised.

Towards Kharkiv, the russian aggressor did not conduct any active offensive actions, but is trying to push our units out by inflicting intense fire. The situation is under control.

Towards Kupiansk, russian invaders have been trying to advance towards our positions near Druzheliubivka and Petropavlivka throughout the day. The Defence Forces repelled three enemy attacks.

Donetsk oblast

According to the Armed Forces General Staff, the situation is tense towards Kupiansk and Kramatorsk.

Towards Pokrovsk, russian troops suffered losses yesterday: 249 invaders killed and injured, four armoured combat vehicles, an artillery system and a vehicle destroyed, and towards Kurakhove: 85 russian troops killed and injured, two tanks, three armoured combat vehicles, two artillery systems and seven vehicles destroyed.

Tatiana Sidasheva, Director of the Department of Education and Science of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said that 32 employees of educational institutions in Donetsk oblast have been killed by russian shelling since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and 6 more teachers have been killed in the war.

As of 5 June 2024, 359 kindergartens in Donetsk oblast were damaged, 68 completely destroyed, and 377 schools damaged, 98 completely destroyed.

Selydove CMA reported about the morning shelling, with no casualties. The shelling damaged the buildings of two enterprises, 5 apartment buildings, 3 shops and a pharmacy.

 Serhii Horbunov, Head of the RMA, stated that in the morning, Kostiantynivka was also shelled by the russian arm. The town was shelled with guided missiles – four facades of apartment buildings, the facades of an administrative building and garage premises were damaged.

One person was killed and one injured in Chasiv Yar as a result of russian shelling on 6 June. According to Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Military Regional Administration, three more residents were injured yesterday in Toretsk, Torske and Zelene Pole.

The operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of 7 June is as follows:

Towards Volnovakha, an administrative building was damaged in Novoukrainka of Vuhledar community.

Towards Pokrovsk, an administrative building was damaged in Hirnyk of the Kurakhove community.

In Selydove, two aerial bombs damaged 5 multi-apartment buildings, 3 shops, an administrative building and a pharmacy.

Towards Kramatorsk, a person was injured in Torske of Lyman community. In Sloviansk, 3 private houses, 4 cars, a garage and a greenhouse were damaged by drone strikes. A person was injured in Zelene Pole of Illinivka community. In Kostiantynivka, 4 apartment buildings and an administrative building were damaged.

Towards Bakhmut, in Chasiv Yar community, 1 person was killed and 1 injured; 8 private houses, 2 outbuildings and an industrial building were damaged.

In Toretsk community, a person was injured and 2 houses were damaged.

In total, russians shelled settlements in Donetsk oblast 15 times over the day. 149 people, including 39 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday russians killed one civilian in Chasiv Yar. Another 4 people were injured in the oblast over the day.

 

Oleksandr Zhuravlov, Head of Lyman City Military Administration, informed that 120 children have been evacuated from five settlements of Lyman community, where the forced evacuation of families with children was announced, 230 minors still need to be taken out.

 

The children from Donetsk oblast went to Artek for their third thematic shift. Under the Artek Unites Ukraine Leadership and Public Initiatives Forum programme, 31 children from Kramatorsk, Bakhmut and Pokrovsk regions went to the camp.

 

Luhansk oblast

The enemy regularly shells the logistics routes, making it difficult to get transport to the liberated settlements. However, bread, food and other goods are still being delivered there. The locals have our constant support. For instance, a weekly supply of bread was delivered to Makiivka yesterday. This village suffered from mortar attacks throughout the day.

Also russians attacked neighbouring Nevske with rocket and cannon artillery and mortars.

The enemy also shelled Kuzemivka and Stelmakhivka. A rocket attack was launched near the latter.

The enemy attacked near Miasozharivka, Nevske, Serebrianka forest and Bilohorivka.

According to preliminary information, the enemy lost 55 personnel towards Lyman over the day. Ukrainian defenders damaged one vehicle and an armoured personnel carrier.

In Luhansk, graduates of a local construction college were brought together and taken to a military enlistment office to check their credentials. As a result, they underwent medical examinations and were issued “combat” summonses in one day.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the occupation administration transferred five more coal mining enterprises to a russian investor, again for a symbolic sum and in the absence of competitive bidding. Thus, miners called Molodohvardiiska, Chervonyi Partyzan, one named after Barakov, Sukhodilska-Ckhidna and Kharkivska mines are expecting staff reductions and other problems.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that 7 to 20 explosions were heard in Luhansk. The oil depot was hit for the fourth time in the last two months. There were also explosions in other areas of the city.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, reported that during the night the enemy attacked Kyiv oblast with UAVs and missiles. Air defence forces were on alert in the region. The air attack caused a fire at an industrial facility. There were no casualties reported.

Kyiv CIty Military Administration reported that Kyiv introduces blackout schedules throughout the day. The limits provided by Ukrenergo will be enough for 75% of the capital’s needs: 25% for critical infrastructure (hospitals, pumping stations, military facilities), 50% will be distributed among the population, business and social sector (schools, kindergartens, government agencies).

Combatants will be reimbursed for part of their dental services in Kyiv. They can receive assistance at one of Kyiv Dentistry branches. The amount of compensation depends on the procedures performed, but in general cannot exceed UAH 15,000 per year. Family members of fallen defenders or veterans can also receive dental services compensation.

Kyiv City State Administration reported that more than 250 traffic lights in Kyiv are currently equipped with backup power supply cabinets, which allows them to extend their operation time during power outages. However, according to “Kyiv Passengers”, two-thirds of the capital’s traffic lights cannot operate without backup power during power outages.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko informed that the capital has handed over 25 ISUZU PICK UP (D-MAX) trucks to the 7th separate brigade of the Special Operations Forces. They were purchased with money allocated to the military from the capital’s budget. The total cost of the vehicles is over UAH 39.5m. In total, Kyiv has recently allocated UAH 50m to equip this brigade.

Kyiv City State Administration announced that IDPs living in Kyiv can register at any city employment centre. The city has special services and programmes to support IDPs. Without registration, IDPs can receive job search services, career counselling, and a voucher for education. At the same time, employers also have access to compensation programmes for hiring internally displaced people.

A presentation of the results of a study conducted by UNICEF and the Rating Group on public awareness of mine safety was held in Kyiv. The survey results show that 53% of Ukrainian teenagers are prone to dangerous behaviour, although they are well informed about the risks associated with mines and other explosive devices. More than 90% of respondents say they have been told about mine safety rules. Children from the frontline areas were the most informed.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Council for Internally Displaced Persons at Zhytomyr RMA consists of 24 members, 11 of whom are IDPs. Since its establishment in August 2023, the Council has held 3 meetings and 4 extraordinary meetings. The Council will represent the interests of IDPs in local governments to ensure protection of their rights and interests, facilitate adaptation and integration of IDPs in the communities of the region, and help create a safe living space in new places of residence.

The SBGS reported that over the past few days, border guards of the 9th Sich Riflemen Detachment have received charitable assistance from government agencies and concerned citizens of Zhytomyr oblast. The defenders have been given attack drones, accessories to ensure reliable operation of vehicles, as well as much-needed equipment that will increase the range of unmanned aerial vehicles and help them operate more safely and securely.

Sumy oblast

Sumy RMA informed that at night and in the morning, russians attacked border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast 8 times. There were 27 explosions caused by attacks from mortars, artillery and FPV drones. The Khotin, Shalyhyne, Esman, and Velyka Pysarivka communities were shelled.

Over the past day, russian forces atacked Sumy oblast 19 times. There were 75 attacks recorded using various types of weapons. Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Esman, and Velyka Pysarivka communities were shelled.

Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of the RMA,  announced evacuation in 8 more settlements in the 10-kilometre border zone of Sumy oblast. This decision was made at a meeting of the Regional Defence Council on the proposal of the military command. According to him, all communities in Shostka, Konotop, Sumy and Okhtyrka regions are under fire. Over the past week, the enemy carried out 160 attacks, three people were killed and three wounded. Since the beginning of the year, 50 people were killed.

The RMA presented the documentary “Going Beyond: The Story of the Evacuation of Foreign Students” about the events of the beginning of the full-scale war. It reminded that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, almost 2000 foreign students from 55 countries were studying in Sumy. The presentation took place on 5 June at the Congress Centre of Sumy State University, the film is available on the university’s YouTube channel.

Chernihiv oblast

Over the past day, russian troops attacked two border communities in Chernihiv oblast. According to the State Border Guard Service, there were 16 explosions. In Semenivka community, there were 2 attacks with mortars and FPV drones towards Leonivka; in Snovsk community – 14 mortar attacks in the direction of Klyusy.

Hosam Abu Meri, Minister of Health of the Republic of Latvia, who visited Chernihiv oblast as part of a large delegation, announced that in the nearest days, a new medical aid package from Latvia, including equipment for hospitals, will arrive in Chernihiv oblast. The aid will be distributed among medical institutions. 

Oleksandr Lomako, Acting Mayor of Chernihiv, informed that Chernihiv City Council has purchased and is transferring 300 drones for two National Guard units and 100 for the territorial defence. Eight electronic warfare systems and generators are also being prepared for delivery. The South Operational Command will receive UAH 5m in aid to strengthen its positions in Sumy oblast.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that 3️ enemy Shaheds were destroyed over the oblast last night. Two of them were shot down by the defenders of the sky in Dnipro region, another one – in Kryvyi Rih region. The enemy fired about a dozen attacks at Nikopol region from evening until morning. Two women aged 61 and 70 were injured in the morning strikes on the region’s center. They will be treated at home. In general, the occupiers fired with kamikaze drones and artillery at Nikopol, Myrove and Marhanets communities. The shelling caused a fire. The fire destroyed a car and several outbuildings. 16 private houses, 10 outbuildings, 4 cars, a garage and 3 power lines were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia City Council reports that ​​the third All-Ukrainian Dialogue Communities to Veterans was held in Vinnytsia. Such open communication between the veteran community, NGOs and representatives of various authorities allows better understanding of the needs and problems of veterans.

Kirovohrad oblast

Kirovohrad Regional Museum of Art presented a photo exhibition Kirovohrad Oblast – Life During the War. The photographs depict the first days of the full-scale invasion, evacuation trains, students in shelters, lines for fuel, and people standing in front of banks to receive money.

Poltava oblast

Filip Pronin,  Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration says that russian forces shelled civilian infrastructure in Poltava oblast. According to preliminary information, a private house was hit. A woman was rescued from the rubble of a destroyed house and hospitalized in serious condition.

Cherkasy oblast

 

Two memorial plaques were installed in Uman in honour of the fallen soldiers Oleksandr Shapoval and Volodymyr Vasianovych. The memorials were placed on the facade of the gymnasium where the defenders studied.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On 6 June, the occupiers struck Zaporizhzhia oblast 434 times. The enemy carried out airstrikes on Piatykhatky and Novodarivka. 158 UAVs attacked Chervonodniprovka, Hulyaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Novoandrivka. There were 21 MLRS attacks on Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, and Novoandrivka. Besides, 253 artillery shelling attacks targeted Chervonodniprovka, Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandrivka, Robotyne, Levadne, Malynivka, and Stepnohirsk. Eight reports of housing destruction were received.

Two fires broke out in the city of Orikhiv and the village of Stepnohirsk as a result of the enemy’s attacks. Firefighters extinguished a fire in Orikhiv that had engulfed a residential building, a summer kitchen, and outbuildings covering a total area of 160 square meters. The fire of an Opel Vectra passenger car on a total area of ​​30 square meters was extinguished in Stepnohirsk.

The occupiers conducted nine assaults towards Orikhiv. All of them were unsuccessful.

Servicemen of the State Border Guard Service destroyed three units of russian barrel artillery towards Zaporizhzhia oblast. They used FPV drones to damage the equipment.

The second phase of capital repairs has begun at the substation of Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo, which suffered significant damage during russian missile attacks. This substation supplies power to over 30,000 consumers, including critical infrastructure. Last year, partial restoration of the equipment allowed the 2023-2024 heating season to proceed without significant disruptions in power supply. Currently, work is underway to replace the second transformer, which will provide additional capacity to the substation and ensure a level of reliability in power supply that meets regulatory requirements.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of 7 June, air defense forces destroyed two Shahed 131/136 UAVs in Mykolaiv oblast. There were no enemy shelling in the region yesterday.

A humanitarian hub for internally displaced persons from Kherson oblast has been opened in Mykolaiv. In addition to psychological and legal assistance, the hub provides food, hygiene, and other essential supplies. There is also a children’s corner, and plans are underway to open an employment center. Currently, 500 families have registered at the hub to receive humanitarian aid.

On June 6, rescuers conducted an off-site mine safety lesson for children living in Voznesensk. During the lesson, they demonstrated 3D models of explosive devices, explained where these items might be found, and instructed on how to act if dangerous objects are discovered.

Odesa oblast

Eleven enemy fleet ships are on combat duty in the Sea of Azov, including three surface missile carriers equipped with up to 24 Kalibr-type cruise missiles.

Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa Regional Military Administration, mentioned ongoing negotiations with Turkey regarding the supply of three floating power plants. Each of these ships can generate 250 MW of electricity, potentially partially covering the region’s needs in electricity. The power plants are planned to be stationed in ports of Izmail, Odesa, and Yuzhne.

Kherson oblast

On 6 June, the enemy attacked Novotiahynka, Antonivka, Sadove, Kizomys, Pryozerne, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Stanislav, Beryslav, Tiahynka, Havrylivka, Taras Shevchenko, Mykhailivka, Mylove, and the city of Kherson. The attacks damaged 3 apartment buildings, 14 private houses, a hypermarket, a garage, and several cars. Four people were injured.

During the nighttime drone attack, air defense forces destroyed three Shahed-131/136 drones over the territory of the region.

The enemy conducted 6 unsuccessful assaults in the area of the village of Krynky on the left bank of the Dnipro, in the temporarily occupied Kherson oblast. After suffering losses, they retreated to their initial positions.

Confirmed enemy losses over the past day amounted to 145 personnel and 29 units of weapons and military equipment. Four observation posts, a UAV control point, and two firing positions were destroyed.

The Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation charity donated three pickup trucks to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. One of the vehicles will be used by specialists in Kherson oblast. The all-wheel-drive vehicles are equipped with everything necessary for rescue operations.

The humanitarian mission World Central Kitchen provided a new fuel station for the needs of the residents of Kalynivka community. The new station, which can hold up to 20 tons of fuel, will significantly ease access to fuel.

The humanitarian center Proliska – Kryvyi Rih delivered emergency repair kits and other building materials from UNHCR Ukraine to 130 residents of Urozhaine and Novoberyslav. Specialists from Proliska also assisted vulnerable families with repairing damaged homes.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council reported that the community sent 3 HikMicro PANTER PQ501 thermal imaging sights to the reconnaissance company of the A4056 Military Unit.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Thermal Waters of Ukraine Association. According to the Memorandum, children whose parents were killed during the war, seriously injured or went missing will be able to attend swimming pools in the summer for free, accompanied by adults.

A regular meeting of the Regional Defense Council was held. One of the key issues is energy security of Zakarpattia and preparation of the oblast for challenges that await this autumn. The enemy launched six combined targeted attacks on the Ukrainian power system. There is a significant lack of electricity to cover the needs of all consumers in Ukraine.

The Czech region of Vysochyna sent 40 multifunctional medical beds worth UAH 800,000 to communal hospitals of the oblast.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ukraine, and the managers of Goodwelly, the agricultural company with Danish investments, which has been successfully working in the oblast for 20 years and supports various social projects implemented in the oblast. Despite the war, Danish investors are ready to expand their business, namely, the energy sphere, which is extremely relevant nowadays.

Lviv oblast

Lviv oblast sent 305 kamikaze drones to the military thanks to the team of the Birds of Victory charity project. One such FPV drone costs about 15 thousand hryvnias.

A charity concert was held in Warsaw. The collectives of the People’s House of Chervonohrad, the People’s Vocal Studio Chervona Ruta and the People’s Dance Ensemble Youth took part in it. During the concert, it was possible to raise UAH 33,000 for the 110th Separate Mechanised Brigades.

A Safety Classroom was opened in the city of Bibrka. From now on, students will be taught traffic rules, fire and mine safety here. Also, in this classroom, children will be able to master the algorithms for providing first aid and key actions during the air alarm signal.

In Zhovkiv community, a memorial plaque was installed to military serviceman Ruslan Duda. The hero was killed at the end of April 2022 during a combat mission in Luhansk oblast.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne oblast, a specialised Center for searching for the missing under special circumstances has started work. Key tasks of the Center include collection of operational information about the place of disappearance of a person, selection of biological samples from relatives for future identification, communication with citizens who have lost contact with their loved ones and who were in the war zone.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that the community sent 5 Mavic 3 reconnaissance drones for the Da Vinci Wolves battalion.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

A large-scale fire caused by an enemy attack on 6 June was extinguished in Khmelnytskyi oblast. 55 rescuers on 15 units of fire-rescue and special equipment, as well as a fire train, were involved in extinguishing the fire.

At night, the enemy launched a massive attack on Ukraine again. The Air Defense Forces destroyed 11 enemy targets within the oblast. So far, there have been no reports of injuries, deaths or damage to property.

Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that the community sent 120 FPV drones of its own assembly to various units of the Defense Forces. Self-assembled drones are cheaper than purchased ones, their cost is less than UAH 11,000. Since the beginning of the year, the community has sent almost 3,000 drones and 270 quadcopters.

Chernivtsi oblast

An online meeting was held at the RMA with heads of regional administrative units, territorial communities and administrative service centres of Chernivtsi oblast. They discussed introduction of administrative and social services to veterans and their family members, in particular, veterans’ services under the “single window” principle and designation of the administrator’s workplace.

 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The US announced a new package of military aid worth $225m to Ukraine. This package is aimed at meeting critical defence needs of Ukraine. The funds are allocated under the PDA program – direct supplies from the reserves of the US Army. The package includes:

  • missiles for Hawk air defence systems;
  • missiles for MANPADS Stinger;
  • 155 mm howitzers;
  • 155 and 105 mm calibre artillery shells;
  • additional ammunition for HIMARS;
  • 81 mm calibre mortar systems;
  • PTKR TOW;
  • APC M113;
  • tractors for transportation of OiVT;
  • coastal and river patrol boats;
  • Javelin anti-tank systems and AT-4 anti-tank grenade launchers;
  • explosive munitions;
  • cartridges for small arms and hand grenades;
  • night vision devices;
  • spare parts, maintenance equipment and other support equipment.

The government ratified the agreement with the EU to receive €50bn under the Ukraine Facility. This year, Ukraine will receive €16bn.

The Embassy of Japan in Ukraine reported that Japan sent 101 special vehicles to Ukraine.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the country will send 5 Mirage 2000 aircraft to Ukraine and train 4,500 Ukrainian pilots. These fighters will be able to attack military facilities on the territory of russia.

Participating states of the Initiative for information exchange in the field of radiation, chemical, biological and nuclear safety and security in relation to Ukraine (Canada, Finland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Ukraine, Great Britain and the US) will provide training and supply equipment to protect Ukrainian security and defence forces.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, held the first phone conversation with Dini Boluarte, President of Peru. They discussed supporting Ukraine, its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
