It has been the ___th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On 6 September, russian invaders continued to storm Ukrainian defenders’ positions. However, Ukraine’s Defense Forces are disrupting the enemy’s plans, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment. The hottest spots were the icinities of Kurakhove and Pokrovsk.

There were 102 engagements on the front line.

Border settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts continued to suffer from cynical shelling by russian forces. Artillery and mortar fire affected Semenivka, Zarichchia, Bobylivka, Khodyne, Mykolaivka, and Boiaro-Lezhachi. In addition, russians carried out six airstrikes using seven guided bombs on areas around Bezdryk, Malushyne, Yunakivka, Boiaro-Lezhachi, Yampil, and Rivne. Furthermore, there are reports of the occupiers continuing to drop bombs on Kursk oblast with 16 airstrikes recorded using 16 guided bombs.

Towards Kharkiv, russians launched one attack near Vovchansk, where fighting is still ongoing. Towards Kupiansk, the enemy carried out 12 offensive actions near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Andriivka, Berestove, and Stelmakhivka. Eight attacks were stopped, while four are still ongoing. The occupiers also launched unguided rockets towards Stelmakhivka and Petropavlivka.

Towards Lyman, the invaders attacked nine times near Novoiehorivka, Druzheliubivka, Cherneshchyna, Terny, Torske, and Dibrova. Five battles were over, and four are still ongoing.

Towards Siversk, the enemy attacked the icinities of Verkhnokamianske and Spirne. Two battles continue near Verkhnokamianske.

Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy attempted three assaults near Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, and Andriivka. The Defense Forces repelled the attacks.

Towards Toretsk, the occupiers launched five assaults near Toretsk and Nelipivka. Four attacks were over, and one is still ongoing. The enemy also launched airstrikes on Toretsk and Druzhba.

Towards Pokrovsk, the russians launched assaults near Sukha Balka, Oleksandropil, Zelenyi Hai, Vozdvyzhenka, Novotroitske, Hrodivka, Novohrodivka, and Mykhailivka. The most active enemy actions are near Novohrodivka, where over a third of all offensive actions occurred. The Defense Forces repelled 20 attacks, with seven battles still continuing. The enemy’s losses are being clarified. The enemy also launched an airstrike near Oleksandropil.

Towards Kurakhove, the situation remained tense, as the invaders attacked 32 times near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Heorhiivka. Six battles are still ongoing.

Towards Vremivka, the enemy launched five assaults near Vodiane and Staromayorske, all of which were stopped.

Towards Kherson, five enemy attacks were repelled, with no success for the occupiers.

On other fronts, the situation remains unchanged.


Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported that Ukraine has appealed to the UN and ICRC regarding the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war. Every such execution requires proper investigation, and the international community must not remain silent about systematic crimes committed by occupiers.

The Ministry of Economy reported that Ukraine has officially introduced a new profession – the deminer. The National Qualifications Agency approved the professional standard for “Explosive Ordnance Search Operator (Deminer).”

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Towards Kupiansk, Russia conducted 12 offensives near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Andriivka, Berestove and Stelmakhivka. The General Staff  reports that eight attacks were repelled, four are ongoing. The General Staff noted that the occupiers also attacked with multiple rocket launchers in the areas of Stelmakhivka and Petropavlivka.

Towards Kharkiv, Russians launched one attack near Vovchansk, and as of 16:00, a firefight was ongoing there. 

Liubotyn, Vilshany in Kharkiv region and Kivsharivka in Kupiansk region came under russian fire in the morning of 6 September

The regional administration said in a statement that around 08:50, the village of Vilshany of Solonitsynivka community was shelled. As a result of the attack, an employee of a local enterprise was wounded, a truck was damaged, and a fire broke out in an open area.

Kivsharivka was also hit by russian strikes, according to the CMA, where a fire engulfed a religious building. 

the SES reported that russia dropped bombs on residential buildings in Iziumske, Borivske community.

As a result of the strikes, three residential buildings were completely destroyed, five more houses and four outbuildings damaged. The russian attack also caused a fire in a private house, which rescuers extinguished within three hours.  

At around 7:30am, the occupiers attacked Liubotyn. At least 28 houses and two cars were damaged as a result of five hits, preliminary, from Tornado-S MLRS. A total of six people were injured or wounded. 

At 02:35pm, russians attacked Bohodukhiv. As a result of the shelling, grass and forest litter were burning. There were no casualties.

At 00:14pm, russians attacked Zaliznychne village, Chuhuiv region. As a result of the shelling, grass and shrubs burned on the area of 10000 sq.m. Power lines were damaged.

At 7:31pm, russians attacked Kupiansk, Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, 2 outbuildings on the square were burning. There were no casualties.

At 5:40pm, russians attacked Tsupivka village, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, the grass was burning.  

At 5:27pm, russians attacked Senkove village, Kupiansk district. As a result of the shelling, an outbuilding and grass were burning. There were no casualties.

At 5:00pm, in Cherkaska Lozova village, Malodanylivka community, as a result of hostile shelling, grass was burning in the open area.

At 4:55pm, Tsyrkuny village, Kharkiv region was hit. As a result of the shelling one private house and 2 outbuildings burned. 2 people were injured: A 68-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman. 4 more private households were damaged.

At 4:48pm, russians attacked Bohuslavka village, Izium region,  open territory. As a result of the shelling, grass burned on an area of 0.5 hectares. 

At 12:49pm, russians attacked Moskovka village, Kupiansk region, outside. As a result of the shelling, grass and shrubs were burning on the area of 2 hectares.

At 12:23pm, russians attacked Novoosynove village, Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, grass was burning.

At 11:01am, russians attacked Stetskivka village, Kupiansk region. The forest floor of 1 hectare was on fire. As a result of the shelling of Kasyanivka village, the forest floor on the area of 1 hectare was burning.

At 09:55am, russians attacked  Shyikivka village, Izium region. The shelling damaged a private house. There were no casualties.

Seven firefights took place towards Kharkiv. Ukrainian defence forces repelled a russian attack near Starytsia and Vovchansk. One hostile attack is still ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted offensive actions, in particular, near Sinkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova and Andriivka. Thirteen battles were completed, two are still ongoing.

The State Emergency Service reported that three rescuers from Kharkiv oblast were hit by a russian explosive device while extinguishing a forest fire in Donetsk oblast. They were hospitalised.

Evacuation of civilians from the frontline areas continues. Since 10 May, 13,098 people have been rescued, including 1,279 children. Forced evacuation will be expanded for 29 settlements in Kupiansk region, where 268 children live. 

Oleksandr Danylenko, head of the media relations group of the 1st border guard detachment says that in the north of Kharkiv oblast and in Vovchansk itself, the occupiers have started using heavy and light armoured vehicles to support the infantry.

Donetsk oblast

At 01:30pm, the village of Raihorodok was shelled, killing a civilian and damaging at least 5 private houses.

Over the last day, the enemy made 2,716 attacks on the frontline and residential areas.

The towns of Dobropillia, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, Velyka Novosilka, Droisheve, Veselyi Hai, Hannivka, Illinka, Krasnoiarske, Markove, Nova Poltavka, Pushkine were under fire.

89 civilian objects were damaged, including 65 residential buildings, administrative buildings, an educational institution, a shop, a petrol station, a livestock farm, garages, cars and critical infrastructure.

Kostiantynivka withstood five attacks. The occupiers shelled the town with two FAB-500 bombs with an UMPK module and artillery, killing one person and injuring 9 other civilians. An apartment block and 26 private houses, an enterprise, an administrative building, a petrol station, and a shop were destroyed.

russian troops dropped UMPB D-30 SM and FAB-250 bombs on Pokrovsk, injuring two residents and damaging critical infrastructure.

Artillery shelling resulted in a wounded man in Nova Poltavka. 

The russian invaders sent three FABs to Dobropillia, causing damage to the industrial area. Eight private houses and a livestock farm were damaged by a FAB in Hannivka, and five houses in Veselyi Hai.

The enemy attacked Kurakhove with Uragan MLRS and cannon artillery, damaging 3 apartment buildings, 4 private houses and a garage cooperative.

Sloviansk suffered a combined attack: UAVs and X-35 cruise missiles, damaging 9 private houses.

Luhansk oblast

A supply of bread was brought to the frontline Nevske and Novoliubivka and distributed to every family that has not yet decided to leave. The evacuation is ongoing – the number of locals is gradually decreasing, but they are not left without help.

Yesterday, russians attacked Nevske with cannon and rocket artillery and drones. They used UAVs and artillery systems in the direction of neighbouring Makiivka. 

The enemy tried to storm the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Andriivka, Nevske and Makiivka.

The occupation administration of Sievierodonetsk made a controversial statement that the houses destroyed by russians during the assault on the city disfigure the face of the settlement. There are no plans to build new housing there, as there are no funds available. Therefore, they are currently deciding what to do with the damaged housing stock – to demolish the houses in whole or in part. For example, they are considering leaving one or two entrances in the emergency multi-entrance nine-storey buildings located at the exit to Luhansk, which the russian army has been shelling since the first days of the full-scale invasion. In some places, large-scale collapses have already occurred. Emergency entrances will either be demolished or painted in a bright colour.

In the schools of the so-called ‘lpr’, teachers practised their skills in the event of a possible hostage situation. Their actions were supervised by representatives of the russian federation’s security forces, who, behaving like future terrorists, mostly kept their faces hidden. As a result, some educational institutions received comments that the level of training of teachers in taking children hostage should be improved.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported that during the night and morning of 6 September, air defence forces in Kyiv oblast hit russian drones. There were no casualties from the attack. Targets were downed, but no hits to critical and residential infrastructure reported. Two grass fires and a forest floor fire started in two districts as a result of falling debris in open areas.

Ruslan Kravchenko also informed that the communities of Kyiv oblast received 10 school buses. All of them are made in Ukraine. The buses were delivered to 10 communities: Tetiyiv, Tashan, Yahotyn, Prystolichna, Velyka Dymerka, Bilohorod, Myronivka, Rzhyshchiv, Hlevakha, and Kalynivka. A total of 41 school buses were purchased at the expense of the state subvention in co-financing with communities. The communities financed the purchase at a level of at least 35%. International partners also assisted – this year they donated 13 buses to oblast. 

The press service of Kyiv oblast police reported that National Police investigators have completed the pre-trial investigation and submitted the case file to the court against a russian soldier suspected of killing a local resident of Bucha during the occupation of the city. The russian soldier did not act alone, but investigators managed to identify him. According to the investigation, in early March 2022, five russian soldiers detained a 34-year-old local resident of Bucha, brought her to a seized house at gunpoint, undressed her and began to assault her. When she tried to escape, one of the russians shot her in the back with an automatic weapon.

Bucha City Council  announced that support groups for wives of military personnel are being launched in Bucha community in Kyiv oblast. Tvoya Opora Family Centre for Mental Wellbeing organises training for military wives with a psychologist. It is noted that group therapy allows learning how to manage emotions and master self-support skills in the most difficult moments.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration announced that students of Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 28 took part in a security interactive organised by representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zhytomyr oblast together with the patrol police. The students not only listened to lectures but also took part in practical exercises.  Thanks to the materials provided by UNICEF, the students learnt three important rules in case of finding an explosive object:Do not approach! Do not touch! Call 101! 

In three border communities in Zhytomyr oblast – Olevsk, Narodychi and Slovechne – psychological support spaces are operating, providing free help to overcome stress to those who have found themselves in difficult life stories, including those caused by the full-scale invasion of russian troops. This social project is being implemented in the oblast by the non-governmental organisation In Touch Ukraine Foundation with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The press service of the Zhytomyr City Council reported that Zhytomyr athletes won four gold and three silver medals at the Dragon World Championships among club rowing teams. The competitions takes place from 1 to 9 September 2024 in the Italian city of Ravenna. The team consists of 39 athletes from Zhytomyr.

The press service of Zhytomyr City Council informed that on 6 September, three defenders – Vadym Slepchenko, Ihor Brodskyi and Volodymyr Wenger – said goodbye at St Michael’s Cathedral in Zhytomyr. The soldiers stood up to defend Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion. The heroes were buried in the Alley of Glory of the Korbutiv City Cemetery in Zhytomyr.

Sumy oblast

 Sumy RMA reported that during night and morning, 6 September, russians carried out 7 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 10 explosions. The attacks targeted Bezdryk, Yunakivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Bilopillia, Vorozhba, Yampil communities.

The North Operational Command informed that on 5 September, russian strikes caused damage in Sumy, Okhtyrka, and Shostka region. In the village of Nova Sich, Yunakivka community, a private home was damaged. In Vorozhba, three apartment buildings, 14 private homes, two garages, and a car were also affected. In Dmytrivka, Velyka Pysarivka community, a private home was destroyed, and another house was demolished in Yampil. Additionally, a local educational institution sustained damage from the strikes.

According to the local police, 46 settlements in Sumy oblast came under russian military fire. The shelling resulted in damage to three apartment buildings, 25 homes, a hospital, a school, businesses, a utility building, two garages, three cars, two trucks, and two trailers.

According to the Regional Military Administration, over the past day, russian forces conducted 55 attacks on Sumy oblast, with a total of 99 explosions recorded. Sixteen border communities were targeted by the shelling.

The russian military launched KAB aerial bombs on the territory of Sumy community (1 explosion), the Stepanivka community (1 explosion), Richky community (1 explosion), Yampil community (5 explosions), Khotin community (2 explosions),  Myropillia community (1 explosion), Trostianets community (1 explosion) and Yunakivka community (2 explosions).

Druzhbivka community suffered from mortar shelling (2 explosions), artillery fire (4 explosions) and was hit by FPV drones (6 explosions).

Esman (15 explosions) and Nova Slobidka (10 explosions) communities were under mortar fire.

The russian army carried out FPV-type kamikaze drone strikes (4 explosions) and mortar fire (5 explosions) in Velika Pysarivka community. FPV drones hit Shalyhyne community (4 explosions) and Seredyno-Buda community (1 explosion). The Boromlia community was fired upon by an attack UAV of the Lancet type (1 explosion).

The territory of Krasnopillia community was shelled by the enemy with a mortar (14 explosions), dropped explosive devices from a UAV (4 explosions), struck by FPV drones (9 explosions), and also carried out airstrikes by air defence systems (3 explosions).

The Regional Emergency Service reported that on 5 September, rescuers extinguished fires in natural ecosystems caused by russian shelling. In Okhtyrka region, the fire was caused by an enemy airstrike – the work lasted two days. In Sumy region, as a result of the attack by enemy ammunition, a forest fire broke out on an area of ​​4 hectares. The rescuers extinguished the fire in time and saved the forest plantations.

Given that the enemy strikes dozens of times daily, causing casualties, and destroying infrastructure and homes, the Defense Council has decided to expand the list of settlements for evacuation. Five settlements are subject to mandatory evacuation: Hlukhiv, Esman, and Svessa in Shostka region, Manukhivka and Ivanivka in Konotop region. According to the Regional Military Administration, the evacuation will take place in several stages. It was noted that there has been an increase in the intensity of enemy strikes on Hlukhiv, Esman, and Svessa, which are currently suffering the most from russian shelling

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that preparations for national resistance are ongoing. Volunteer formations of the Sumy City Territorial Community, which are subordinate to the 117th Territorial Defense Brigade, are working with the population to improve skills in handling weapons, tactical medicine, and the basics of resistance.u

Liudmyla Beizym, Head of the Budget Committee of Okhtyrka City Council, informed that nearly 12,000 kilograms of humanitarian aid were delivered to Okhtyrka Regional Hospital from international Ukrainian diaspora organisations. The aid includes beds, hospital mattresses, pillows, mobility aids, folding beds, and boxes of medical consumables. Ukrainian Community of Venice gathered the medical equipment, while the Ukrainian Community of Denmark transported it.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the State Border Guard Service, on 5 September, russian forces shelled three border communities in Chernihiv oblast, resulting in a total of 79 explosions.

Novhorod-Siversk community: six FPV drone strikes targeted Hremiach.

Snovsk community:  three mortar strikes hit the area near Yeline.

Semenivka community: six FPV drone strikes near Karpovychi, 30 artillery strikes on Khotiivka, 23 artillery strikes, and 10 strikes by MLRS near Mykolaivka, along with one drone-dropped explosive near Halahanivka.

As a result of the shelling in Khotiivka, two private homes caught fire, and two local residents were injured by shrapnel. 

The North Operational Command reported that russian forces also launched a missile strike on Novyi Bilous, near Chernihiv, on 5 September.

Throughout the day, russian troops attacked Chernihiv oblast 16 times, using artillery, mortars, MLRS, and drones to terrorise border villages. In Semenivka community, houses were set on fire, and a village club and farm were destroyed. Two residents, a man and a woman, were transported to Semenivka hospital with shrapnel wounds. Their condition is currently stable, and they are receiving necessary medical care.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, attacks continued in Nikopol region. In the evening on 5 September and at night, the occupiers shelled the area with artillery, kamikaze drones and hail. They targeted the regional centre, Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities. A 62-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman were injured in Nikopol. 11 private houses, a garage, 2 cars, a boat, 5 power lines and the same number of gas pipelines were damaged. Last night, russian troops also attacked Kryvyi Rih region with a kamikaze drone. A private house was damaged. Pavlohrad and Synelnykove regions were under fire. Several fires broke out there. In the latter, an outbuilding was destroyed and up to ten private houses were damaged in Synelniykove region.

As a result of the attack on Pavlohrad, 64 people were injured and one person was killed. The russian army attacked Nikopol region throughout the day. In total, there were more than a dozen attacks, with artillery, kamikaze drones and ammunition dropped from drones. They targeted the regional centre, Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrovsk communities. A 49-year-old man was injured in the region centre. Infrastructure was damaged, several fires broke out, a trade pavilion, a shop, an agricultural enterprise, 7 private houses, 3 outbuildings were hit, a car was destroyed, and a gas pipeline was damaged. Also during the day, on 6 September,  2 enemy drones were  destroyed over the region.

Vinnytsia oblast

Serhii Morhunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia, said that another 200 FPV drones were transferred from Vinnytsia oblast to the 3rd separate assault brigade.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, reported that at night, on 6 September, the Air Armed Forces shot down russian drones over Kirovohrad oblast.

Poltava oblast

The burial of the victims of the russian shelling of the Communications Institute has begun in Poltava oblast. In particular, in the village of Zaturyn, Oleksandr Tupik, a member of the military college was paid tribute to.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday, the occupiers launched 330 strikes on 11 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces carried out two airstrikes on Bilohirria. 186 drones of various modifications attacked Biliaivka, Huliaipole, Novodarivka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Novodanilivka. Three MLRS strikes hit Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, and Robotyne. 139 artillery strikes targeted Stepnohirsk, Huliaipole, Preobrazhenka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Novodanilivka, and Novodarivka. Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported receiving 21 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.

According to the General Staff, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy assault near Robotyne towards Orikhiv.

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, visited the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to assess the aftermath of the fire at the cooling tower on August 11. The IAEA report noted significant internal damage to the cooling tower walls, debris, and surfaces blackened by smoke. The Director General also visited the pump station of one of the plant’s units and inspected the fresh nuclear fuel storage in one of the special buildings at the facility.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of 6 September, air defense forces destroyed seven Shahed 131/136 drones in  Mykolaiv oblast. As a result of the combat operation and falling debris, dry grass caught fire in an open area in Bashtanka region. There were no casualties.

Yesterday, 5 September, at 16:30, the enemy shelled Kutsurub community with artillery. A private house in the village of Dmytrivka was damaged.

World Health Organization (WHO)  delegation visited the Assistance Center for Kherson residents in Mykolaiv. The WHO delegation members familiarized themselves with the center’s work in detail, discussed several important issues regarding further cooperation, and held talks with charitable organizations that provide psychological and social support to residents of Kherson oblast.

Odesa oblast

The Ukrainian Navy reported that as of 6:00am, there is one enemy ship in the Black Sea equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to four missiles. There are two enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, one of which carries Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to eight missiles.

Two vessels passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea in russia’s interest, and three ships entered the Sea of Azov.

Odesa oblast received a batch of generators from the European Union. According to Odesa Regional Military Administration, 53 generators have already been distributed among communities to support critical infrastructure. These generators have been provided to municipal enterprises responsible for the uninterrupted operation of water supply and purification systems, healthcare facilities, and administrative service centers.

Kherson oblast

At 12:00pm, occupation forces shelled the village of Kozatske in Nova Kakhovka community. A 59-year-old local woman suffered explosive injuries and leg wounds.

In the morning, russian forces attacked a resident with a drone in Kindiika. The 55-year-old man sustained explosive injuries and a leg wound.

It is reported that russian troops attacked a resident with a UAV in Antonivka. A 70-year-old man sustained explosive injuries and shrapnel wounds to his shin.

Around 10:00am, occupation forces attacked Komyshany. As a result, two women were injured. A 72-year-old woman sustained explosive injuries, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to her lower back. Another victim, a 77-year-old woman, suffered a concussion, explosive injuries, and a closed traumatic brain injury.

Today, russian military forces dropped an explosive device on a bus parked at the end station in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. There were no passengers inside the bus. The driver sustained minor injuries.

In the morning, russian forces launched airstrikes on Kherson oblast. Four settlements in the region were hit. According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of Kherson’s RMA, two guided bombs hit a kindergarten building in one of the villages of Beryslav community, causing severe damage. The Center of Invincibility, a bus, and nearby homes were also damaged.

Yesterday, once again, Beryslav and Kherson regions were subjected to devastating attacks by russian forces, including hospitals and residential buildings. The enemy shelled peaceful settlements with artillery, mortars, multiple rocket launchers, and UAVs. The enemy attacked Kherson, Sadove, Komyshany, Prydniprovske, Kizomys, Beryslav, Novovorontsovka, Odradokamianka, Mykhailivka, and Zolota Balka. As a result of these attacks, 23 objects were damaged: eight private homes, two apartment buildings, two medical facilities, a shopping center, a local administration building, seven cars, a warehouse, and a non-residential building. Four people were injured due to russian aggression.

A 65-year-old man, who had been injured on August 21 during a drone attack in Kindiika, passed away in the hospital. According to Roman Mrochko, the head of Kherson’s military administration, the deceased had a traumatic amputation of the lower right leg, an open fracture of the right shoulder, and multiple back wounds. During the detonation of the explosive dropped by russian forces, the man was in a vehicle.

It is reported that russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian positions three times on the Prydniprovskyi front. According to the “South” Operational Command, the enemy retreated after suffering heavy losses.

Yesterday, confirmed enemy losses amounted to 52 personnel and 25 units of weapons and military equipment. The “South” Operational Command also reported that one field ammunition supply buildup, six bunkers, and one UAV launch site were destroyed.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk community sent 5 DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters, 3 DJI Mavic Fly More Combo quadcopters and a DJI Mavic 3 Pro quadcopter to the 100th Separate Mechanised Brigade. These technical means help soldiers to effectively destroy the enemies.

As part of the Point of Psychological Practices project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, teachers of Lutsk Art School at the request of the Plus Plus ++ veterans’ space, psychologists of the National State University of Ukraine in Volyn oblast conducted an art therapy session for wounded police officers and servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia oblast

This week, the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center provided IDPs registered in Uzhgorod with 41 packages with necessary things for children under 1 year old and 51 bags with grocery sets. During the week, volunteers gave out clothes, shoes, bed linen and dishes (2,094 items) from the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV and other benefactors.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk community sent 95 FPV drones to the 102nd Brigade, the 76th Battalions of the 102nd Brigade and 109th Battalion of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade thanks to the budget funds.

Lviv oblast

At night, Lviv oblast was attacked by 3 enemy drones. The Air Defense Forces destroyed enemy objects. After the fall of the fragments of the Shahed, a fire broke out near Lviv community. Warehouses in an industrial zone were on fire near Malekhov. The fire was extinguished. There is no information about the victims.

Lviv oblast buried 6 people who were killed as a result of a combined strike on residential buildings in Lviv on 4 September. Among the killed are the Bazilevich family, mother Evhenia and daughters Yarina, Daria and Emilia. They were buried at Lychakiv cemetery.

Lviv oblast sent 450 drones to the front line thanks to the Birds of Victory charity project together with representatives from the Czech Republic and the Codelions for Ukraine CF.

Lviv RMA signed a memorandum of cooperation with Zaporuka CF. The memorandum envisages deepening cooperation in two areas – physical rehabilitation and health care.

Lviv City Council reported that the German sister city of Freiburg will allocate €100,000 to the reconstruction of Lviv school, which was damaged by a russian rocket yesterday.

The Return Alive Fund together with Lviv City Council opened a collection of UAH 200m in order to comprehensively and competently provide 4 combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are just now keeping the defence on the front line. On the 1st day of collection, they raised UAH 1m.

Another 31 children left for the Artek international children’s centre from Lviv oblast. Tickets for orphans who are deprived of parental care, as well as children of fallen servicemen, were financed with funds from the state budget. 

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the Czech Institute of Healthcare Technologies. This is their 2nd visit to Rivne oblast. In July, they met at the regional veterans’ hospital. This time, future cooperation was discussed in more detail. The Czechs will help obtain grants from the European Union for the purchase of equipment for the new building of the hospital.

Halyna Shavarska, a 75-year-old woman from Kostopil, one of the oldest mothers of fallen soldiers of Kostopil community, handed over her son’s car and 3 drones to the 77th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Ukraine and with representatives of international non-governmental organisations. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss joint work to ensure support for IDPs in the oblast and preparation for the proper passage of the autumn-winter period.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, during an air alert, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 1 enemy UAV. There were no reports of injured, dead or property damage.

Khmelnytskyi received humanitarian aid, including 27 pallets of various medical consumables, namely, plasters, bandages, medical masks, gowns, means for treating wounds and injuries, rubber gloves, etc., from Polish partners from the Torun Headquarters of Aid to Ukraine.

In Khmelnytskyi, the Khmelnytskyi Grateful project was introduced. It combined offers from businesses to defender soldiers. It will be possible to identify such businesses in the city by special stickers. So far, 44 institutions have joined the project.

Chernivtsi oblast

One of the health care institutions of Chernivtsi oblast received a PRS 500E PROTEC x-ray system worth UAH 2.8m from the district of Swabia (Germany).

In Bukovina, there will be 25 centres for teaching the Defense of Ukraine subject on the basis of secondary education institutions. For the implementation of this program, Chernivtsi oblast received over UAH 65m from the state budget. The funds will be directed to repairs and the purchase of necessary equipment for all cells on the terms of co-financing. Educational institutions were chosen by the relevant commission taking into account the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Boris Pistorius, Minister of Defense of Germany, stated that Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands will send 77 more Leopard 1A5 tanks to Ukraine. Germany will also supply Ukraine with 12 more Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers for €150m, 6 of them will be delivered this year, 6 more next year.

Canada will send a NASAMS system to Ukraine in early 2025. Canada bought an air defence system to Ukraine from the US for over $400m back in March of last year. But the Raytheon defence company has not yet produced it.

The British Ministry of Defense reported that Great Britain will send Ukraine with 650 missiles for air defence for £162m. There are light multi-purpose missiles (LMM). They are versatile, as they can be launched from various platforms on land, sea and in the air.

Swedes  will send over €43m for energy and heating in Ukraine. Thanks to these funds, it will be possible to ensure the installation of two gas turbines for the production of electricity. The production complex will be guarded to minimise the consequences of russian attacks.

Klaus Iohannis, Romanian President, approved the provision of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile complex to Ukraine. According to the law, which was previously supported by 2 chambers of the state, Ukraine will receive the Patriot air defence system in the most modern 3+ configuration from Bucharest free of charge.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Olaf Scholz, Federal Chancellor of Germany. They discussed implementation of the Peace Formula and preparations for the 2nd Peace Summit.
