The Defense Forces are taking measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory.
Since the beginning of today, 113 combat clashes have occurred.
Border communities have suffered from enemy artillery fire, including Vasylivka in the Sumy region.
In the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, four combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day. In addition, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropping six guided bombs, and conducted 84 shelling attacks on our troops’ positions and settlements, three of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, the Defense Forces repelled eight attacks by enemy troops, while four combat clashes are still ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of Vovchansky Khutory, Kamianka, Stroiivka, and in the direction of Bologivka, Kolodiazne, and Odradne.
In the Kupiansk direction, the invading army carried out five attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units near Kupiansk, Redkivka, and toward Petropavlivka and Bohuslavka. Two combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Russian occupiers attempted four times to break through our defenses near Ridkodub, Myrne, and Shandryholove, with two clashes still continuing.
In the Siversky direction, the Defense Forces repelled ten enemy attacks near Hryhorivka and in the direction of Dronivka and Yampil, while three combat clashes continue.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy launched one attack on our defenders’ positions toward the settlement of Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 14 assault actions in the areas of Rusynyi Yar, Katerynivka, Shcherbynivka, and Pleshchiivka, with fighting currently ongoing in three locations.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders attempted 40 times to push our defenders from occupied positions near Nikanorivka, Mayak, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Razine, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Horiakhove, Filiia, and toward Novopavlivka and Volodymyrivka. The Defense Forces are holding the line and have already repelled 35 enemy attacks; five combat clashes continue.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defense of our defenders near Zelenyi Hai, Yalta, Piddubne, Voskresenka, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Vorone, and Novohryhorivka. Our troops repelled 12 enemy assaults, with four attacks still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy tried six times to advance near Poltavka but was repelled.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Defense Forces repelled three attacks by the invaders near Stepove and Kamianske. Zaporizhzhia was hit by an aerial bombing strike.
In the Dnipro direction, Ukrainian defenders are currently repelling an enemy attack. The aggressor’s aviation carried out an airstrike near Kozatske.
A new branch of troops will appear in the Air Forces: interceptor drones of domestic and foreign production that destroy “Shaheds” with an efficiency of around 70% or more. As a result, units equipped with these drones are being formed and strengthened, and a special command is being established. Ukraine is already using these systems, increasing the number of radar stations, expanding personnel, and training staff. Units are being formed to receive and operate these platforms. The goal is to integrate them into a unified air defense system.
Radar coverage is being expanded. The number of radar stations is increasing and being integrated to cover the airspace.
Combat helicopters: according to the command, under favorable conditions, Ukrainian helicopters sometimes shoot down up to 40% of drones in their areas. Such helicopters require specialized systems for detecting the enemy day and night.
Light aircraft with machine gun mounts: the issue of acquiring specialized aircraft to combat “Shaheds” is being studied.
Electronic warfare: the volume and quality of EW systems are being increased to provide three- to fourfold coverage of designated objects.
Automated control systems: conditions are being created so that drones begin to be intercepted as soon as they cross the line of combat.
Teachers in frontline areas will receive a monthly allowance of UAH 4,000. This decision was made at a government meeting. It concerns 25,000 teachers working in 84 communities in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions. The 2026 budget also provides for a 50% salary increase for teaching staff. This was announced by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
By 16:00, the Defense Forces had repelled eight Russian assaults in the South Slobozhansky direction, while four attacks continue, the General Staff reported. The Russians attempted to advance in the areas of Vovchansky Khutory, Kamianka, Stroiivka, and in the direction of Bologivka, Kolodiazne, and Odradne.
Five attacks by the Russian forces occurred near Kupiansk, Redkivka, and toward Petropavlivka and Bohuslavka, with two combat clashes still ongoing at 16:00.
Over the past day, 231 combat clashes were recorded.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, 31 clashes took place in the areas of Vovchansky Khutory, Odradne, Bologivka, Kutkivka, Krasne Pershe, Kamianka, and Zapadne.
In the Kupiansk direction, eight attacks by the occupiers were recorded. The Defense Forces repelled enemy assault actions near Kupiansk and Petropavlivka.
Shelling
During the latest strikes, Russia destroyed two transformer substations that supplied electricity to Kharkiv, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported. He said that as of 15:00, after the overnight drone attack, about 3,500 consumers remain without power. Following the Russian strikes during the night, around 22,000 subscribers lost electricity.
As a result of a morning drone attack on Borova, the head of the community was injured. The occupiers struck near a passenger car, hitting the rear wheel. The vehicle carried the head of the Borova Settlement Military Administration and the community secretary – both suffered blast injuries and bruises.
Over 40 private houses in the Novobavarskyi district were damaged due to the Russian attack on Kharkiv on the night of October 6, the district administration reported.

Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and six settlements in the Kharkiv region were hit by enemy attacks. As a result of the shelling, 2 people were killed and 5 were injured.
In Kharkiv, the victims included women aged 83 and 38, and men aged 67 and 63. In Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi (Kupiansk community), a 37-year-old woman was injured. In Kolodiazne (Dvorichna community), two men, aged 50 and 35, were killed.
The enemy attacked the Novobavarskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kharkiv with 16 UAVs.

Evacuation
The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 133 people in one day. Currently, 67 people remain there. Since the start of its operation, a total of 6,208 people have been registered at the point.
Currently, in the Kupiansk direction, 4,277 people remain, including 739 residents in Kupiansk city. In the Borova community, 1,278 people are still present.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Russian forces continue to increase pressure on the Novopavlivka sector of the front. Over the past day, the occupiers launched 42 assaults on the positions of the Defense Forces near Myrne, Piddubne, Novoselivka, Sichneve, Novohehorivka, Ternove, Sosnivka, Komyshuvakha, Vorone, Maliivka, Berezove, Kalynivske, Novomykolaivka, and Novohryhorivka. The day before, there were 34 attacks, according to the morning report from the General Staff.
Another 57 battles were recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, while near Lyman, Sieversk, and Toretsk there were more than 10 clashes in each sector of the front.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed over 500 Russian soldiers and more than 60 units of equipment during a week of fighting near Dobropillia in Donetsk region. More than 300 occupiers were wounded, and three were captured, the 1st Corps of the National Guard “Azov” reported. From September 29 to October 6, the corps’ fighters destroyed Russian tanks, armored vehicles, artillery, cars, and motorcycles.
The Russians launched an assault with armored vehicles near Kostiantynivka yesterday, using six units, according to Sergeant Major Andrii Shapovalov of the 3rd Mechanized Battalion of the 93rd OMBR “Kholodnyi Yar.”

Shelling
On October 5, the police recorded 1,792 enemy shelling incidents along the frontline and in residential areas.
Eleven settlements came under fire: the cities of Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, and Lyman; the urban-type settlements of Oleksandrivka and Svitlye; and the villages of Berestok, Dobropillia, Zavydo-Kudasheve, Zoloti Prudy, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Stepanivka.
Nineteen civilian facilities were damaged, including six residential houses.
- In Kostiantynivka, two civilians were injured when the city was shelled with artillery and an FPV drone. Three private houses were damaged.
- One person was injured in the village of Dobropillia due to a strike by an FPV drone.
- In Kramatorsk, Russian forces attacked with a Molniya-2 UAV and an FPV drone, damaging a private house, a non-residential building, and a vehicle.
- In Lyman, a private house was damaged.
- In Rai-Oleksandrivka, two FPV drones damaged a civilian vehicle.
- In Zoloti Prudy, two non-residential buildings were damaged.
- In Svitlye (Dobropillia community), Russian forces dropped a KAB-250 bomb, damaging an educational institution.
- In Zavydo-Kudasheve (Kryvorizka community), three Geran-2 UAVs struck, damaging a shop, a post office, and a non-residential building.
Additionally, it was reported that on October 4 in Druzhkivka, one person was killed and one injured during shelling.
The French National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT) has launched an investigation into the death of journalist Anthony Lallikan, who was killed on October 3 by a Russian FPV drone near Druzhkivka in Donetsk region. The case is classified as a “war crime” involving “a deliberate attack on the life and physical or psychological integrity of a person under the protection of international humanitarian law,” according to Le Figaro.
Occupied territories
Mariupol, temporarily occupied by Russian forces, is experiencing a fuel shortage, the city council reports. Gas stations have long queues and empty pumps. Due to the severe shortage, prices are rising, and municipal transport is being refueled irregularly and with delays.
Luhansk oblast
On the previous day, Russian forces carried out 13 strikes with artillery systems, the Regional Military Administration (OVA) reported. Sixteen UAVs and FPV drones were used. An airstrike was also conducted in the mentioned sector of the front. In the Lyman and Siversk directions, the enemy attacked 25 times.
The occupiers do not recognize residents who remain in occupied Luhansk as full citizens of Russia. Crossing the border between the so-called “LPR” and Russia remains difficult.
In Kreminna, municipal workers employed by the local occupation administration have not received salaries for six months.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
According to the RMA, at night, the enemy once again attacked Kyiv oblast with strike drones. In the Fastiv district, as a result of the enemy attack, a tanker truck caught fire on the territory of a defunct enterprise. The vehicle was destroyed. Four more trucks were damaged. The fire has been extinguished.
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof arrived in Kyiv. Together with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he honoured the memory of fallen Ukrainian soldiers at the Wall of Remembrance on St. Michael’s Square. The meeting focused on the protection of Ukraine, defence projects, pressure on russia and its responsibility for crimes, political cooperation and support on energy challenges.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko announced that in September, Kyiv allocated UAH 235 million to strengthen the capital’s air defence system. In particular, for the purchase of military drones to intercept enemy drones.
Starting next year, the capital will introduce digital special passes for transport movement during curfew. This decision was made by the Kyiv City Defence Council, according to the Kyiv City State Administration. The city will also create and implement an information and communication system for managing digital passes for transport movement.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko, in Kyiv, the Defence Council considered an algorithm for installing mobile shelters,. According to him, requirements for such shelters have already been calculated at the state level, and from now on, their installation and purchase will be carried out according to clearly defined rules. This should simplify the installation procedure and ensure safe conditions for people.
According to the RMA, in Borodianka, a new building is being constructed on the site of a high-rise building on Tsentralna Street destroyed by the russians. The damage was so extensive that building repairment was impossible. The high-rise will contain 105 apartments. Part of the basement and underground car park will be converted into a radiation shelter for 287 people. The project features modern design and energy-efficient technologies.
In Kopyliv, Makariv Territorial Community, the cultural centre is being renovated with the support of the UNHCR and the Rokada Charitable Foundation.
Zhytomyr oblast
The Zhytomyr Regional Centre for Training Citizens for National Resistance held its latest graduation ceremony. Twenty-six students received certificates for completing the course. The final exams were held in the field conditions of the training ground of the League for the Promotion of Defence, a non-governmental organisation. This was a practical consolidation of the knowledge and skills acquired in military-applied matters and in the matters of survival.
In Zhytomyr oblast, the development of a network of psychosocial support centres continues within the framework of the PRO_MH_Zhytomyr project “Psychological rehabilitation and social adaptation in Zhytomyr oblast. Implementation at the local level of a model of psychosocial support for veterans and persons affected by war.” The centres were established this year in the Berdychiv, Korostyshiv, Ovruch and Olevsk territorial communities.
Sumy oblast
On the morning of 6 October the General Staff reported that Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 russian assaults towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk. During the day, russian forces carried out three air strikes, dropping seven guided aerial bombs, and launched 155 artillery attacks, including five using multiple launch rocket systems.
The Regional Military Administration informed that in the afternoon of 6 October, the enemy targeted a perinatal centre in Kovpakivka region of Sumy by a drone strike. A fire broke out on the roof of the building but was swiftly extinguished by rescuers. At the time of the attack, 166 people, including 11 children, were inside the facility — all were in the shelter when the explosion occurred. A 60-year-old staff member suffered a stress reaction and was treated on site.
According to Sumy Regional Military Administration, in Shostka community, recovery works are ongoing following recent russian attacks. Electricity and gas supply have been largely restored. Specialists continue to work under constant air raid threats, which occasionally force temporary suspensions. The community remains provided with food, medicines, and fuel. Bread is being delivered from other cities, while the local bakery is gradually resuming operations. “Points of Invincibility” and hot meal distribution centres are operating.
The City Council reported that in Okhtyrka region, a “Heran-2” drone capable of remote mining was detected. The same type of UAV had been used last week — it crashed in a field near Pohly village. Experts found that, in addition to its main warhead, the drone was equipped with a mechanism for remotely scattering mines.
Between the morning of 5 October and the morning of 6 October, russian forces conducted 31 attacks on 17 settlements in 12 local communities of Sumy oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used guided aerial bombs (up to 10 strikes), as well as FPV-drones and other UAVs.
Damage recorded in Sumy oblast as of the morning of 6 October:
- In Verkhnia Syrovatka community – private houses, a car, two farm buildings, and a civilian infrastructure facility damaged.
- In Bilopillia community – a car damaged.
- In Sumy community – a non-residential building damaged.
The Regional Military Administration announced that the government has approved additional support for teachers working in frontline communities. Educators in Sumy oblast will receive a monthly allowance of UAH 4,000 after tax. Payments will begin in October, covering the period from 1 September.
Chernihiv oblast
A russian drone attack on Chernihiv on 6 October destroyed a single-storey private house located near “Epicentr” shopping centre. Explosions were heard around 4pm. According to the Regional Police, the city was attacked by strike UAVs.

Chernihivoblenergo reported that overnight on 6 October, russian forces struck an energy facility in Ichnia region. Repair works have begun but are being carried out with regard to safety conditions.
According to the Local Administration, on 5 October, russian troops targeted a private enterprise in one of the communities of Chernihiv region, causing a fire. Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, said that earlier, drones hit an infrastructure facility and a fuel station at an industrial site in Chernihiv. Fires broke out at two facilities but were later extinguished by rescuers.
In Pryluky region, a drone explosion damaged another energy facility. Power outages continue under a “three hours on, three hours off” schedule, while parts of Chernihiv and nearby villages remain without electricity.
Throughout the day, russian forces attacked four border communities – Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk – using mortars (9 explosions), artillery (24 explosions), FPV-drones (10 explosions), and dropping explosives from UAVs (4 explosions). In Mykolaivka village, a non-residential building caught fire.
The Regional Police informed that Ukrainian bomb disposal experts neutralised the warhead of a russian strike drone shot down in Nizhyn region, safely detonating it in place.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Air defence forces were active across the oblast, shooting down 12 enemy drones.
The russian forces attacked Synelnykove region by drones, targeting Pokrovske community. A private house was damaged. Late in the evening, the enemy continued to strike Nikopol region, launching drone attacks on the regional centre.
During the day, the occupiers carried out more than 30 attacks on Nikopol region, by artillery, drones and MLRS. The strikes targeted the regional centre, Myrove, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrovske communities. 4 private houses and power lines were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
In Shpykiv village, residents unveiled memorial plaques on the facade of the lyceum to honor its fallen graduates. The plaques commemorate: Vadym Blidchenko, Vasyl Shevchuk, Serhii Pokynchereda, Viktor Pokynchereda, Andrii Virnyk, Serhii Boichenko, Ihor Lobasenko, Vitalii Polyvanyi, Mykola Kanev and Vasyl Kovalskyi.
Kirovohrad oblast
Alla Tatarova, Project Artistic Director, informed that in Kropyvnytskyi, a new community initiative Choral Space ‘Zdybanka’ for Amateurs is being launched. The project aims to reduce anxiety and stress through breathing and vocal practices, providing a safe space for emotional recovery and restoring rituals of stability. Choral gatherings support social integration of internally displaced persons, help to build new social connections and mutual support networks and through the performance of Ukrainian works and folk songs, strengthen national identity and boost community morale.
Poltava oblast
Zinkiv and Velyka Bahachka communities will hold ceremonies to honor fallen soldiers Mykola Aksyonov and Serhii Hryshchenko. Mykola Aksyonov was killed on 19 September 2025 while performing a combat mission near Pokrovsk, Donetsk oblast. Serhii Hryshchenko was killed on 26 August 2025 during a combat operation near Kupiansk, Kharkiv oblast.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, reported that during a nighttime attack, air defence units destroyed 9 russian strike drones.
During the massive russian attack on 5 October, more than 90 Shahed drones and over 30 missiles were recorded flying over Cherkasy oblast in transit. 13 drones were shot down within the oblast. A drone crash damaged power lines, leaving part of the population temporarily without electricity.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 6 October, 2025, at about 9:40 am, russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs. As a result of the enemy strike, a 20-year-old woman was injured. Infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Yesterday, 5 October, the occupiers laucnhed 762 attacks on 17 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy launched four missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia. russian forces conducted six airstrikes on Rozumivka, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Solodke, Uspenivka, and Poltavka. 517 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterynivka, Chervonodniprovka, Ternuvate, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. Two MLRS strikes targeted Malynivka and Poltavka. There were 233 artillery attacks on Chervonodniprovka, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. 240 reports were received about the destruction of houses, apartments, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities. One person was killed, and 11 were injured as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia region.
As of 4:00 pm on 6 October, the enemy attempted to advance six times near Poltavka towards Huliaipole. The Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks near Stepove and Kamianske towards Orikhiv. During the day on 5 October, the Defense Forces repelled ten russian attacks. Four combat clashes occurred near the settlement of Poltavka towrds Huliaipole, Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy attacks near the settlements of Plavni and Stepove towards Orikhiv.
According to the russian state news agency TASS, citing representatives of the occupation administration of the station, the russian occupation authorities replenished the fuel reserves for the diesel generators that power the temporarily seized Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) after it was disconnected from the last power transmission line on 23 September. Diesel generators currently fully supply electricity to the ZNPP, and fuel reserves have been replenished to ensure their continuous operation.
Mykolaiv oblast
Yesterday, 5 October, the enemy attacked Ochakiv community five times with FPV drones. They also carried out two artillery strikes on Kutsurub community. An apartment building, a private house, and a power line were damaged in the village of Dmytrivka. In addition, more than 1,900 customers were left without electricity due to the shelling. There were no casualties.
At night, air defense forces shot down or suppressed two Shahed-type drones and various types of decoy drones over the region.
Odesa oblast
Last night, russian occupiers once again attacked Odesa oblast. Despite active air defense operations, the enemy hit the territory of a civilian industrial facility. A fire broke out at the site, which State Emergency Service workers promptly extinguished.
A memorial plaque was unveiled in the city of Chornomorsk in honor of Ukrainian defender — sailor Denys Kushnir, who was killed in battles in Kherson oblast. The commemorative plaque was installed on the facade of Lyceum No. 3, where the fallen soldier had studied.
Kherson oblast
In the morning of 6 October, russian forces attacked Stepanivka. According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, one person was killed and six others were injured, including three children aged 2, 12, and 16. The victims sustained concussions as well as blast and closed head injuries.

Around 06:30, occupying troops shelled Chornobaivka. Four people were injured. An 18-year-old girl was hospitalized with blast and closed head injuries, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to her abdomen and leg. A 76-year-old local woman sustained blast and closed head injuries, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to her chest, arm, and head. A 57-year-old woman suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to her torso and legs. An 81-year-old woman received a concussion, knee damage, and blast and closed head injuries.
Later, around 13:30, russian forces shelled Chornobaivka again. As a result of the renewed attack, a 31-year-old man sustained a concussion, a leg wound, and blast and closed head injuries.
Around 07:00, russians again shelled Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. Two people were injured in the attack. A 64-year-old man suffered a blast injury and an open leg fracture. A 70-year-old Kherson resident sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his leg and arm.
Yesterday, 5 October, russian troops shelled the de-occupied right bank of Kherson oblast using artillery, MLRS, aircraft, and drones. The enemy attacked Kherson, Antonivka, Kizomys, Bilozerka, Sofiivka, Stanislav, Prydniprovske, Beryslav, Bila Krynytsia, Mykhailivka, Novoraisk, Davydiv Brid, Burhunka, Vysoke, Odradokamianka, Olhivka, and Tiahynka. An apartment building, two private houses, a kindergarten, an administrative building, a police service vehicle, a civilian car, and a garage were damaged. One person was killed and three were injured as a result of russian aggression.
Over the past week, russians used more than 1,500 drones to attack civilians and civilian infrastructure in Kherson oblast. About 1,200 russian UAVs were destroyed.
A family with two children and a mobility-impaired grandmother was evacuated from the front-line village of Bilozerka. Due to constant and intensified shelling by russian forces, it became extremely dangerous to remain in the settlement. The mother, her two sons aged 13 and 15, and their 69-year-old grandmother decided to leave their home.

Volyn oblast
Specialized training in water and flood rescue using modern diving techniques continued for 3 weeks in the city of Augustow. The training program included two days of theory and three days of practical exercises. Each group had ten participants – 5 from Poland and 5 from Ukraine. In total, 15 representatives of Volyn State Emergency Service participated in the training.
Zakarpattia oblast

The book became a bridge between the past and the present: from pre-Christian times, through more than 60 wars and uprisings, to the current war between russia and Ukraine.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
3 more veteran spaces are planned to be opened in the Carpathian region. These are the Kolomiia, Bohorodchany and Vorokhtian communities.
Lviv oblast
26 servicemen from Lviv oblast went on a pilgrimage to the holy Mount Athos. This is the 4rth pilgrimage mission within the framework of the Spiritual Victory initiative. In total, 75 servicemen have already participated in such trips.
In the village of Zavadiv, Yavoriv community opened and consecrated memorial plaques to fallen Heroes Vasyl Shipka and Mykhailo Palchynsky. Those present laid flowers at the memorial plaques and later took part in a joint memorial service at the graves of the fallen soldiers.
Slavs’ka community raised over UAH 420,000 for the military over the summer. In the village of Radelichy, during a temple holiday, over 70,000 were raised to repair cars for the military.
Rivne oblast
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, presented the Order of the Golden Star to relatives of the fallen Hero of Ukraine Maksym Dali Kryvtsov. He went to the front as a volunteer in 2014. Maksym Kryvtsov was killed on 7 January last year in Kharkiv oblast as a result of russian mortar shelling. Maksym Kryvtsov was buried on 12 January in his hometown of Rivne on the Alley of Heroes of the Nove cemetery.
Ternopil oblast
Defenders of the 3rd Separate Regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave received 15 modern unmanned aerial vehicles Black Ball 8 from Ternopil community.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The military received 20 DJI MATRICE 4T quadcopters, purchased for over UAH 3.5m from the budget of Khmelnytskyi community.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA reported that senior soldier Olha Rashkovska was awarded with the Bukovina Cross of Honor and Dignity.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
NATO member states have financed four defense support packages for Ukraine worth over $2bn. Among them, the Netherlands – $578m, Denmark , Norway and Sweden – $495m, Germany – $500m and Canada – $500m. The PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) initiative, launched by the US and the Alliance, has been operating since August. It is designed to unite allies to provide the Ukrainian military with everything it needs.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Giorgia Meloni, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Italy. The discussion focused on potential risks and threats from russia, given the recent violations of European airspace, and ways to respond to common challenges.
