On 4 September Ukrainian Defense Forces held back the advance of russian occupiers. The terrorists continue to destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with missile, air, and artillery strikes.
There were 107 combat engagements on the front line.
The most intense fighting is currently towards Kurakhove and Pokrovsk. The Defense Forces are taking all necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory.
Today, the occupiers launched airstrikes and artillery shelling on the border vicinities of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts. It is reported that five airstrikes with 11 guided aerial bombs were carried out. The strikes hit the vicinity of Sumy, Tokari, Nova Sloboda, Yampil and Yunakivka. Artillery shelled the settlements of Sydorivka, Novovasylivka, Slavgorod, Popivka, Vysoke, Pokrovka, Boiaro-Lezhachi, Zarychchia, Dmytrivka, Mykhalchyna Sloboda and Chuikivka.
Towards Kharkiv, there was one combat clash near Vovchansk since morning, which is still ongoing.
Towards Kupyansk, russian forces attempted 14 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, Berestove and Miasozharivka. The battles continue.
Towards Lyman, the enemy attacked the vicinity of Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Novosadove, Nevske and Torske. Since morning, 11 clashes have been recorded in this direction, with four still ongoing.
Towards Siversk the russian continues to attempt breakthroughs of Ukrainian defences, but is met with fierce resistance from Ukrainian defenders. Near Ivano-Darivka, the occupiers tried once to push back Ukrainiank units.
Towards Kramatorsk, russian forces have attempted one assault on Ukrainian positions since morning. The enemy also launched unguided rockets at Chasiv Yar.
Towards Toretsk, the enemy, supported by assault and bomber aviation, launched eight attacks on Ukrainian positions. A battle near Niu-York is still ongoing.
The situation remains tense towards Pokrovsk. Fierce fighting is taking place near Vozdvyzhenka, Zelenyi Hai, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Selydove, Mykolaivka and Myroliubivka. The enemy launched 31 assaults on Ukrainian positions, with battles ongoing at eight locations. russian aviation also struck the vicinity of Oleksandropil and Selydove, using guided bombs and unguided rockets.
The situation is critical towards Kurakhove, where the russian attacked Ukrainian units 32 times since morning. They attempted to advance near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Kostiantynivka.
Towards Vremivka, two enemy assaults towards Vodiane and Kostiantynivka were repelled.
Near Robotyne towards Orikhiv, the occupiers attempted one advance but were met with a strong response.
Towards Kherson, five enemy attacks were repelled, and the enemy did not succeed.
The Ministry of Defense reported that Ukraine has opened its first underground hospital for the Defense Forces. This facility can treat more than 100 wounded daily. The first such stabilisation point is located near the front line. It includes two full-scale operating rooms, two intensive care units, a working area, and a rest zone for medics. It is equipped with modern medical devices, such as oxygen concentrators, ventilators, cardiac monitors, and defibrillators, meeting NATO field hospital standards. The facility can stabilise the wounded and perform up to four surgeries simultaneously. For additional protection, it is equipped with electronic warfare systems.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, reported that another Ukrainian family was successfully evacuated from Kherson occupied territory. The family includes two boys and one girl. The parents had been forced to send their children to a russian school, where “teachers” brainwashed them with russian propaganda. The parents decided to leave for Ukrainian-controlled territory.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
The General Staff reported that towards Kupiansk, russian troops attempted to storm Ukrainian positions near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, Berestove and Miasozharivka 14 times, and the fighting continues. Towards Kharkiv, there was one firefight near Vovchansk since the beginning of the day, which continued as of 4pm.
Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of the community, reported that around 12:15pm, russians struck Kozacha Lopan with an unknown type of weapon. Fires broke out in the village, private houses are burning.
The press service of the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv oblast reported that a 59-year-old man blew himself up in Shevchenkove in Kupiansk region. According to preliminary data, he tried to cut an explosive object. The man sustained a mine-blast injury to his left arm and is in hospital.
The press service of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration said that since 4:43am, russians have been shelling Kupiansk. Also russia fired and hit private yards with an FPV drone. A gas pipeline was damaged as a result of one of the last hits on a residential area.
Yesterday at 8:54am, the russian military attacked Krasnokutsk village of Bohodukhiv region. As a result of the shelling, the forest floor of a deciduous forest over an area of 500 sq m was burning.
At 9:25am, russian troops attacked Borova forestry of Kupiansk forestry, Novoplatonivka village, Borova community, Izium region. As a result of the shelling, coniferous forest litter on the area of 0.7 hectares was burning.
At 9:37am, the russian military attacked Novoosynove village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, a private house and grass burned. There was no information about the victims.

At 1:59pm, Huty forestry of Krasnokutsk commnity, Bohodukhiv region, was attacked. As a result of the shelling, the litter was burning.
At about 3:30pm, russian troops attacked Makarove village of Zolochiv community, Bohodukhiv region, preliminary KAB. A hit to the ground on the territory of a private household.
A 37-year-old woman was killed. Two other women and one man received light injuries. Two private houses, outbuildings and power lines were damaged. No State Emergency Service units were involved.
According to Zolochiv head Viktor Kovalenko, at 9:20pm, on 3 September, the russian military attacked Perovske village of Zolochiv community with artillery and FPV drones.
The shelling destroyed a private house, outbuildings, a car, agricultural machinery, and damaged a private house and power lines.
At 11:34pm, russians attacked outside in Ruska Lozova village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, grass on an area of 2 hectares was burning.
Towards Kharkiv, russian terrorists unsuccessfully stormed the positions of our troops twice near Vovchansk and dropped one bomb on Makarove and Male Vesele.
The enemy attacked our positions 8 times towards Kupiansk. Defence Forces units repelled seven attacks near Synkivka, Hlushkivka and Berestove. Combat continues near Stelmakhivka.
A new volunteer brigade Bars is being created by the russian army in Belgorod region. According to the Kharkiv operational-strategic group, the formation of the new unit began on 22 August.
The fire in Oskil community was extinguished. The aftermath is still underway. The area of affected forest plantations is 1,520 hectares. A total of 285 personnel and 88 units of equipment are involved. Commissions to eliminate the consequences and fix the losses of citizens are working on the spot.
The press service of the Regional Military Administration reported, citing its head, Oleh Syniehubov, informed that 28 residents of Kharkiv oblast injured as a result of russian shelling on 30 August – 2 September remain in hospitals. Among the injured, two are in critical condition and another person is in extremely critical condition. Four of the injured children have positive recovery dynamics: three of them have been discharged and are undergoing outpatient treatment.
In Rohan community near Kharkiv, the largest shelter is being repaired and it can accommodate at least a thousand people. When the invasion began, not only residents of the house where the shelter is located, but also residents of neighbouring houses went down to this shelter.
Donetsk oblast
Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Spokeswoman of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office, reported that on 4 September, russian troops shelled a road on the outskirts of Toretsk. As a result, three men who were in the car were wounded as they tried to leave the settlement.
Another 36-year-old woman was injured in the shelling of Kostiantynivka on 4 September. She has shrapnel and mine-blast injuries.
Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Spokeswoman of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office, said that the enemy troops shelled Kostiantynivka with cannon artillery. As a result, a 67-year-old woman sustained a cut wound and contusion, and a 36-year-old woman sustained shrapnel and mine-blast trauma. Commercial facilities were damaged.
Yesterday police recorded 2,473 hostile attacks on the frontline and in the residential sector.
The enemy focused fire on 6 settlements: Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Veselyi Hai and Novoselydivka.
16 civilian objects were destroyed, including 7 residential buildings, a business and critical infrastructure.
Also russians attacked Veselyi Hai with artillery, killing a civilian and damaging a private house.
A man was injured in Novoselidivka as a result of shelling.
Yesterday, the occupiers dropped a FAB-500 bomb with an UMPK module on Pokrovsk, damaging a critical infrastructure facility. In addition, at 4:50am, the town was hit twice, injuring two civilians and damaging two businesses.
Again russia struck Myrnohrad with a FAB-500 bomb with an UMPK module, damaging a business.
In Kostiantynivka, a KAB-500 bomb with an UMPK module damaged two private houses and a business.
There are still 1,076 children in Pokrovsk and police are patrolling the city and urging residents to evacuate. Due to the approach of the frontline, russian attacks on the city have become more frequent. Now the enemy is hitting civilians not only with KABs and rockets, but also with artillery. The police have increased the number of patrols and investigative teams to respond as quickly as possible to all reports from citizens. At least 15 foot patrols are on duty every day. Car patrols drive the streets informing residents about ways to escape, evacuate, and perform other police functions. Police officers inform the population about the evacuation through loudspeakers and visit every family with children. In 10 days, 24,000 people, including more than 2,000 children, have left the frontline Pokrovsk.
Luhansk oblast
The militants attacked nine times near Nevske and six times near Hrekivka. According to the Regional Military Administration, yesterday they focused towards Lyman. They also tried to advance in the areas of Stelmakhivka and Tverdokhlibove. They shelled Makiivka and Nevske with cannon artillery. The enemy also tried to use 44 unmanned aerial vehicles there.
Luhutyne, which was occupied 10 years ago, is currently served by only one ambulance. Several teams work in shifts. The situation with transport is also difficult for medics in other settlements of the so-called “lpr”. Despite numerous statements by russians about the complete renewal of the emergency service fleet made last year during the election campaign, this problem remains open. Due to the lack of special vehicles, dispatchers are forced to turn away dozens of people every day.
To get to the russian pensioners in Lysychansk, you have to make an appointment two months in advance. But even after collecting all the necessary documents and standing in line, the elderly do not receive their money on time. Their documents and appeals are considered for several months, in violation of the law. There is a case of a resident waiting for an appointment from December to August.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported that on the night of 3 September, the russian army attacked Kyiv oblast with drones and missiles. The alert lasted all night. Air defence forces were deployed. There are targets downed. There were no hits to residential or critical infrastructure. There were no casualties. The wreckage of the downed targets was detected outside of the settlements.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, announced that Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris arrived in Kyiv. The leaders signed a bilateral security agreement between Ukraine and Ireland. This document allows realising the full potential of cooperation between the two countries, as well as with partners within the entire security agreement architecture. The document also provides for further support for Ukraine’s humanitarian and infrastructure needs.
The Department of Agricultural Development of Kyiv Regional State Administration reported that agricultural land continues to be de-mined in Kyiv oblast. Currently, experts are working on an area of approximately 10 hectares. The sappers are using special machines and mechanisms. In particular, two special demining machines BOZENA 5+ and three groups of sappers have been engaged.
Ukrenerho NPC reported that the time and scope of electricity restrictions were changed in Ukraine, particularly in Kyiv and oblast. The changes were made due to a decrease in power at some power facilities caused by the complicated situation in the power system as a result of the last massive russian attack on the main grid on 26 August. Currently, the Ukrainian power system continues to recover from nine massive russian attacks. Power shortages persist, and emergency and scheduled repairs are underway at power facilities.
Zhytomyr oblast
Zviahel Mayor Mykola Borovets announced the establishment of two hubs for veterans funded by international partners. The programme provides psychological and physical rehabilitation, social support, professional adaptation and job change, national and patriotic education, honouring and perpetuating the memory of the fallen.
As part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme “Are You OK?” initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, Iryna Hladka, Advisor to the Head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration on Humanitarian Affairs and Mental Health, met with the National Guard of Ukraine representatives. The event was aimed at discussing the issues of preserving and maintaining the mental health of the military, especially in the context of hostilities. The participants of the meeting got acquainted with the programme “Are You OK?” and received practical advice on self-help techniques and self-regulation of mental state in crisis situations.
A veteran and former US Marine Corps soldier with an amputated leg, 67-year-old Jacob Kepka from Canada, who is cycling from Krakow to Kyiv as part of the HopeRaising Expedition project to raise money for prosthetics for Ukrainian soldiers, visited Zhytomyr. According to him, with this bike ride, he wants to show that Ukrainians are not alone in the fight for freedom, and to show other countries that the war in Ukraine is ongoing. In addition, Kepka wants to convince amputee survivors that life goes on after amputation, draw public attention to such people, and raise $100,000 for prosthetics and training for Ukrainian prosthetists.
Sumy oblast
Olha Hubar, Head of Yampil community, reported that around 10am, russian forces launched an airstrike on Yampil village. One of the two bombs hit a private house. The strike caused damage to many residential buildings in the village, with the exact number being determined by a special commission. An operational headquarters is on-site to assist residents.
During night and morning, russians carried out 9 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 23 explosions. The attacks targeted Sumy, Verkhnia Syrovatka, Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Shalyhyne, Esman, Znob-Novhorod, Nova Slobidka communities.
Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that on the evening of 3 September, russian forces launched an airstrike on the building of a university in Sumy. The enemy used KAB munitions, according to the regional military administration. The city council reported that a civilian man was injured as a result of the strike.
According to the North Operational Command, on 3 September, three people were injured due to russian strikes. Private houses, an educational institution, and railway transport were damaged. In Sumy, one person was injured, and an educational institution was damaged. Another person was injured in Samotoivka, Krasnopillia community, where railway transport and a commercial building were also damaged. In Sopich, Esman community, one civilian was injured. In Velyka Pysarivka and the village of Nova Sloboda, private houses were damaged.
According to Sumy police, overall, in the past 24 hours, russian strikes on Sumy oblast caused damage to 19 apartment buildings, six private homes, business premises, a university building, a gas station, and six vehicles.
Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of RMA, reported that more than 22,000 people have been evacuated from the border areas of Sumy oblast. To provide assistance, support, and guidance to internally displaced persons, appropriate headquarters have been established across the oblast. He noted that in 2024, more than 450 people have been injured or killed due to russian shelling, with an increase in cases involving injuries to children.
In the buildings damaged by the missile strike in Sumy on 1 September, 364 out of 480 broken windows have already been replaced. Additionally, 130 balcony frames, five balcony doors, and two entrance doors were damaged. As of 3 September, 81 damage reports have been filed, and 68 inspection reports have been completed, according to the city council. Currently, four injured individuals remain in the hospital: one adult and three children.
Chernihiv oblast
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that throughout the day, the russian army shelled nine villages in three border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities. A total of 38 attacks were recorded. The shelling involved artillery and mortars, FPV drones and explosive devices dropped from UAVs.
On 3 September, in Chernihiv oblast, soldiers from a mobile fire group of the 119th Territorial Defense Brigade shot down a Shahed drone that was heading to strike a target in Chernihiv. According to the squad commander, the drone was destroyed 20km from the city.
Regional Police reported that a family, along with their livestock and belongings, was evacuated from the border village of Orlykivka, Semenivka community, which has been subjected to constant shelling. Recent russian strikes in the village caused large-scale fires, destroying or damaging over 60 buildings (including residential homes, a store, and a church). An entire street, where the family’s house was located, was burned down.
Vasyl Bilohura, Head of the city’s Department of Education informed that despite the ongoing war, 30 schools in Chernihiv have begun in-person classes, with 22,449 children attending out of a total of 26,000 students. He noted that 86% of Chernihiv’s students have returned to in-person learning.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
A hotel in Kryvyi Rih was damaged by the russian army strike. Five people were injured: women aged 62, 83 and 84, a 70-year-old man and a 10-year-old girl. She was taken to hospital. More than 10 high-rise buildings were damaged. The consequences are still being clarified. The invaders go on attacking Nikopol region. They launched two kamikaze drones at the Marhanets community. There were no casualties.
The enemy attacked Nikopol region a dozen times a day. Mostly they hit Pokrovsk community, but also targeted the region centre and Marhanets community. Three private houses and a gas pipeline were damaged. According to the updated information, 6 people were injured as a result of the enemy’s attack on Kryvyi Rih. More than fifty multi-storey buildings, 5 educational institutions, 8 shops, a business centre, cafes, beauty salons, and 9 cars were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
It became known that four defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were killed. In particular, Kupchik V. Dmytro, Franchuk O. Serhii, Monchuk A. Bohdan and Dobrohivskyi V. Serhii.
The bomb squad made 30 visits during the week to eliminate the remnants of cruise missiles and Shaheds. They documented and recorded the consequences of enemy air attacks.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, reported that families of IDPs from Pokrovsk, who were sheltered by the communities of Holovanivsk region, received additional care from the Tenth of April NGO. A team of social workers, lawyers, and administrative consultants met with each family, recorded all their needs, especially those of small children and people with disabilities or without proper documents. Over 250 food parcels and hygiene kits were handed over to the Pokrovtsy. More than 320 IDPs have already been sheltered by the communities of Holovanivsk and Oleksandriia region.
Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, reported that Kirovohrad oblast has delivered another batch of FPV drones to fellow countrymen who are currently at the frontline in Donetsk sector.
Poltava oblast
According to the press service of Poltava Regional State Emergency Service, there is one child among the injured after the russian shelling of Poltava. The death toll has risen to 53, with nearly 271 injured. There may be people under the rubble of the military institute building. So far, 22 bodies have been unblocked from the rubble.
Filip Pronin, Head of the RMA, reported that some of the people who were injured during the missile attack on the communications institute on 3 September in Poltava are in the intensive care unit of the regional hospital. These patients have already been identified. Relatives have started to visit them.
Cherkasy oblast
Junior Sergeant Roman Mukohorenko was laid to rest in Cherkasy. He was killed in action in Kharkiv oblast.
Ruskopoliana community said goodbye to defender Serhiy Barabash. He was killed in Kharkiv oblast.
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, said that 48 IDPs from Pokrovsk region of Donetsk oblast were evacuated to Cherkasy oblast. They were accommodated in a former school in Kamianka.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 3 September, the occupiers carried out 268 strikes on seven settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched an airstrike on Piatykhatky. 138 drones of various modifications attacked Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne and Malynivka. Four MLRS strikes hit Mala Tokmachka and Huliaipole. 125 artillery strikes were also carried out on Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Levadne. A 47-year-old woman was injured due to russian attacks on Polohy region. There were 22 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure facilities.
It was reported that the enemy units attempted to advance six times in Novoandriivka, Robotyne, and Mala Tokmachka towards Orikhiv, but they were unsuccessful.
As reported by the press service of Berdiansk Border Detachment, border guards neutralized twelve russian FPV drones towards Zaporizhzhia, one of which was “caught” in a net.
Experts from the State Environmental Inspectorate inspected the area of a hotel complex in Zaporizhzhia that was damaged due to a russian attack on the city on the night of 3 September. The total area contaminated by debris and destruction waste is 735 sq m. Further, the experts will calculate the damage caused by the shelling.
Mykolaiv oblast
On the morning of 3 September 3, at 10:25am, the enemy shelled the waters of Ochakiv community with artillery. There were no casualties.
On the evening of 3 September 3, at 4:05 and 4:45pm, the enemy directed FPV-type drones, and at 8pm, artillery shelling targeted Kutsurub community. A residential building, a utility structure, and a car were damaged in the village of Dmytrivka. A power line was damaged in the village of Solonchaky, but it has already been restored. Additionally, there was a fire in dry grass on open territory. There were no casualties.
A decrease in power output was recorded at the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant in Mykolaiv oblast due to russian strikes on the energy system. Enerhoatom stated that there was no accident at the nuclear power plant; however, after the shelling, an issue was detected in the operation of one of the plant’s power units, and the unit was reduced to 33% of its nominal capacity.
Odesa oblast
The Ukrainian Navy reported that as of 6am on 4 September, one enemy ship, which is armed with Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to four missiles, is present in the Black Sea. There are two enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, one of which is armed with Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to eight missiles.
A memorial plaque was unveiled in honor of the fallen border guard Illia Starysh in the village of Rozivka in Odesa oblast. It was installed on the facade of the gymnasium where the soldier studied. Junior Sergeant Illia Starysh was killed on 24 February 2022, while performing tasks on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Ginestra Odv, with the support of Odesa Regional Development Agency and the Odesa Regional Military Administration, provided aid to Safianivka community. The charity donated educational games, volleyballs, clothing, and a generator for the community’s kindergarten.
Kherson oblast
In the afternoon, russian military forces attacked a resident of Shyroka Balka with a drone. A 65-year-old man sustained a blast injury and a concussion. Additionally, a 72-year-old man was hit by an enemy drone near a store. He was taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a blast injury, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to the abdomen.
It was reported that russian forces attacked a 33-year-old man who was riding a moped down the street in Kindiika. He suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the chest, shin, forearm, and forehead.
Three people were killed and six others injured, including a child in Kherson oblast due to russian attacks. Yesterday, the attacks affected Kherson, Sadove, Antonivka, Kizomys, Stanislav, Veletenske, Tomaryne, Vyrivka, Novoberyslav, Tiahynka, Beryslav, Karierne, Havrylivka, Burhunka and Sablukivka. Eleven private and five multi-story buildings, a factory, a poultry farm, a cultural centre, a cell tower, six cars, three garages, utility structures, and warehouses were damaged.
It is reported that russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions five times on Kherson front. They were met with a strong response, suffered losses, and retreated.
The confirmed enemy losses over the past day amounted to 89 occupiers and 11 units of weapons and military equipment, including 6 artillery systems, 3 armored vehicles, and 2 reconnaissance UAVs. Additionally, 3 observation posts, 3 dugouts, 1 firing position, and 2 generators were destroyed.
Three more mobile shelters have been installed in Kherson oblast in Myroliubivka, Nadezhdivka and Kyselivka. Each structure covers an area of 10 sq m and can accommodate approximately 10-15 people. The shelters are now operational and have special markings.
Volunteers from Save Ukraine evacuated a family with three children from the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson oblast to Ukrainian-controlled territory. The family is raising two boys and a girl, aged 12 to 16. The parents feared that the occupiers would take the children to an orphanage, so they were forced to enrol them in a russian school. Their sons and the daughter were subjected to Russian propaganda in the russian-occupied schools. The parents decided to move to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
Akim Gafarov, a Crimean Tatar abducted in the village of Novooleksiivka, Kherson щblast, has been transferred from Simferopol’s pre-trial detention centre №2 to an undisclosed location to serve his sentence. The activist was kidnapped by FSB officers in May 2022. In June 2022, the occupiers accused him of participating in the Noman Çelebicihan Battalion. Volyn oblast

Lviv oblast
It is reported that russia attacked Lviv with missiles. A fire broke out in a residential building near the Main Train Station due to shelling. Over 50 houses were mutilated (from 6 houses, people were displaced). 2 schools were damaged in the city centre (today they did not work because the windows were broken), 2 medical facilities. Several streets were blocked.
The rescuers have finished sorting through the rubble of the destroyed houses. The State Emergency Service of Lviv Oblast involved over 150 rescuers and 38 units of special equipment. They managed to rescue 12 people from under the rubble. 7 were killed, 3 of them are children. So far, after the morning enemy shelling, 64 people, including 8 children, have turned to hospitals of the 1st Medical Association. All receive adequate medical care.
As a result of the night attack on Lviv, the regional Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center was damaged. His historical building was damaged. Over 70 windows were broken. Frames were blown away by the shock wave. The ceiling collapsed in six offices. Broken batteries. Destroyed computers and medical equipment.
As a result of the night attack in Lviv, at least 7 architectural monuments of local importance were damaged. All the houses are located in the historic area and UNESCO buffer zone. They are in the state register of immovable monuments of Ukraine. The commission of representatives of the cultural heritage protection bodies of the city and oblast will start working on the objects and draw up inspection reports as soon as the emergency services grant access there.
From the reserve fund of the regional budget, UAH 30m will be directed to overcome the consequences of the enemy’s attack. The city will provide compensation to residents whose apartments were damaged by today’s rocket fire, for broken windows and entrance doors, as well as for flooding of apartments during firefighting. Residents of apartments flooded due to firefighting can receive UAH 15,000 in compensation from the city
In Lviv, 5 September was declared the Day of Mourning in memory of all the killed.
Marketa Pekarova, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, arrived for the 1st time on a working visit to Lviv oblast. Having seen today’s tragedy in Lviv with her own eyes, she emphasised the unchanging position of her people in support of Ukraine.
Rivne oblast
Rivne oblast will receive over 400 tonnes of fertilisers free of charge for autumn sowing from the USAID Program for Agrarian and Rural Development – AGRO.
In Rivne oblast, IDPs are provided with the necessary assistance. The RMA, in cooperation with the Integration Center NGO, already this week, over 300 families who moved to Rivne oblast will receive assistance from the International Organization for Migration. The sets include mattresses, blankets, kitchen utensils, thermoses and lanterns.
Ternopil oblast
The Army of Reconstruction works in Ternopil oblast. Over 135,000 unemployed Ukrainians have already taken part in this project. Payment is made for a fully completed monthly (hourly) rate of work and cannot exceed one and a half of the minimum wage.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
In the morning, during an air alert, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 1 enemy UAV of the Shahed type. There were no reports of injuries, deaths or damage to property.
Safety Classrooms have been opened in cities of Netishyn and Slavuta, Khmelnytskyi oblast. They are equipped with visual materials and attributes of the educational spaces of the gymnasium and kindergarten, and will teach safety to different age groups.
Chernivtsi oblast
Chernivtsi will receive an additional €19.75m from the KFW Bank for the modernization of water management thanks to the support of the European Union.
