On 3 September, russia continued its attempts to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory.
There were 118 combat engagements on the front line.
The most active actions were towards Kurakhove and Pokrovsk, where nearly half of all attacks took place.
Border vicinities of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts suffered from russian artillery shelling. The settlements of Karpovychi, Pokrovka, Porozok, Dmytrivka, Sopych, Bobylivka, Velyka Pysarivka, and Boiaro-Lezhachi were affected. Airstrikes hit the vicinity of Esman, Usok and Yunakivka.
Today, russian aviation dropped 24 guided aerial bombs (KABs) on Kursk region of russia. The occupiers also fired at Kursk from MLRS and tube artillery.
Towards Kharkiv, russian terrorists assaulted Ukrainian positions twice near Vovchansk. The battle is ongoing. The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions four times towards Kupiansk. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults near Hlushkivka, Synkivka and Berestove.
Towards Lyman, enemy units attacked the vicinity of Tverdokhlibove, Druzhelyubivka, Novosadove, Hrekivka, Nevske, Torske and Terny. Since morning, Ukrainian soldiers have repelled eight of the 16 enemy attacks. The fighting continues. Nine enemy bombs fell near Petropavlivka and Borova.
Towards Siversk, the enemy attacked three times near Verkhnokamianske, Vyimka and Spirne. Ukrainian defenders repelled all attacks.
Towards Kramatorsk, the invaders launched four assaults near Andriivka and Chasiv Yar. Three battles near Chasiv Yar are still ongoing. The enemy used aviation, dropping four KABs in the vicinity of Stupochky and Bila Hora. They hit Hryhorivka twice with unguided rockets (NARs).
Towards Toretsk, the enemy launched seven attacks. They targeted the settlements of Nelipivka and Toretsk. Our defenders repelled all attacks. The aggressor’s aviation bombed the vicinity of Dachne, Kostiantynivka, Dyliivka and Toretsk.
Towards Pokrovsk, the occupiers launched 31 attacks since morning, targeting Ukrainian defenders near Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Myroliubivka, Mykhailivka and Zelenyi Hai. The Defense Forces repelled 21 enemy attacks, while ten more battles are still ongoing. The enemy concentrated its efforts near Novohrodivka and Mykhailivka, where 11 and 9 clashes, respectively, occurred.
The heaviest fighting occurred towards Kurakhove, where the invaders attacked Ukrainian units 37 times. The most intense battles took place near Ukrainian, Kostiantynivka and Heorhiivka. Five battles are still ongoing.
Towards Vremivka, the occupiers launched eight assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vuhledar, Vodiane and Kostiantynivka. All attacks were repelled.
Towards Orikhiv, 20 NAR strikes hit the vicinity of the village of Pyatykhatky. The occupiers also launched five attacks near Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka.
Towards Kherson, one enemy attack was repelled. The invaders fired 40 unguided rockets at Mykolaivka.
In other directions, the enemy did not conduct active operations.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science Andrii Stashkiv reported that as of the start of the new school year, about 1,800 Ukrainian schools did not have shelters. The government allocated funds to help local authorities build shelters. Last year, UAH 1.5bn were used to repair and build 187 protective structures. This year, UAH 2.5bn were allocated for frontline and border areas, and two weeks ago, the government added another UAH 5bn in subsidies.
Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) is once again in a high-risk zone. Energoatom reported that russian forces damaged a power line supplying ZNPP, which powers its operational needs. The plant is currently connected to the Ukrainian power grid by only one transmission line. If the second line is damaged, an emergency could occur due to the loss of external power for pumps that cool the reactor cores and spent fuel pools.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
The russian army has stepped up pressure in the Kurakhove sector, with the defence forces repelling 39 attacks there yesterday. The day before, it was 25.
Towards Kurakhove, the occupiers are trying to storm the areas of Ukrainske, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Halytsynivka and Krasnohorivka.
Towards Pokrovsk, the number of engagements was slightly lower than yesterday. The defence forces repelled 56 enemy attacks.
The highest concentration of attacks was near Novohrodivka and Mykhailivka.
The occupiers also continued to increase pressure towards Vremivka. Ukrainian troops repelled 21 attacks near Vodiane, Vuhledar, Kostiantynivka and Prechystivka.
In total, 167 of the 197 battles on the frontline took place in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
Kharkiv oblast
Hennadii Zahoruiko, Head of Oskil community, reported that about 150 out of 300 residential buildings in Studenka village were destroyed by the fire. Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, informed that this number of buildings was consumed by fire within one hour. According to him, the fire, which spread from Donetsk oblast, was started as a result of hostilities. There were 600 people living in Studenka. About 70 people did not leave, they stayed to fight the fire and save their homes. According to the State Emergency Service, the fire covered an area of about 5,000 hectares.
Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, Spokesman of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, said that around 500 people were evacuated from Studenka village due to the large-scale fire, with half of the houses burned down. The State Emergency Service employee, who was injured while extinguishing the fire, is a 30-year-old sergeant of the Civil Protection Service. As a result of the detonation of the ammunition, he suffered burns to his eyes, and is currently undergoing outpatient treatment. It is currently known that the fire has been localised within Oskil community.
Oleksandr Khorunzhyi added that more than 700 rescuers are extinguishing the forest fire on the border of Kharkiv and Donetsk oblasts, with additional units from Cherkasy, Kirovohrad and other oblasts arriving here.

Towards Kharkiv, russian invaders stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops twice near Vovchansk. According to the General Staff, as of 4pm, the battle continued.
The occupiers attacked positions towards Kupiansk four times. Ukrainian defenders repelled the attacks near Hlushkivka, Synkivka and Berestove.
The occupiers attacked Makarove village in Zolochiv community. A 38-year-old woman was killed and a 59-year-old civilian man sustained light injuries. Three private houses, outbuildings and power grids were damaged.
Viktor Zabashta, Director of the Emergency Medical Centre, reported that Yevhen Yurko, a 21-year-old emergency medical assistant injured as a result of another russian strike on Kharkiv, died in hospital. Together with his colleagues, the paramedic arrived at a shopping centre near the Akademika Pavlova metro station. The team was just starting to work when the russians struck again. The medic sustained a severe head injury, and another ambulance worker was injured in the leg by a piece of shrapnel. Yevhen Yurko was a fifth-year medical student.
At 2:30am, russians attacked Cherkaska Lozova village of Mala Danylivka community, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, grass was burning.
At 10:50pm, russians attacked Bobrivka village of Vilkhivka community, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, grass was burning, the fire area was 2 hectares.
At 10:41pm, russians attacked Ruska Lozova village og Derhachi cmmunity, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, grass and garbage were burning.
At 10:24pm, enemy attacked Saltiv region. As a result of the hit, grass was burning in the open area. There were no casualties.
At 10:13pm, the occupiers hit Kyivskyi district using MRLs near the memorial complex. It hit the ground. The power line and trolleybus network were damaged. A private house was damaged and a fire broke out. There were no casualties.
At 10:12pm, the enemy attacked Kharkiv again. There were no casualties.
At 5:42pm, russians attacked an open area in Cherkaski Tyshky of Tsyrkuny community, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, the grass was burning.
At 4:19pm, russians attacked Kupiansk and as a result of shelling (preliminary MRLs), a house was partially destroyed, the body of a 78-year-old woman was recovered from the rubble during rescue operations.
At 3:45pm, russians attacked Bezruky village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, grass burned over an area of 1,000 sq m.
At 3:34pm, russians attacked Kyivskyi district. 14 people were injured. Kharkiv Aviation Institute was hit. As a result of the shelling, the swimming pool building was damaged, the electrical switchboard building and the canteen building, the main building were damaged (165 windows, 61 office doors and 2 entrance doors were broken). The ceiling of the premises and corridors were damaged. The garage cooperative was also hit. The garages on the area of 600 sq m were on fire. 176 garages were partially damaged, 27 garages and 5 cars were destroyed. Another hit damaged a private house.
At 3:34pm, russians attacked Ruska Lozova of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. A house was damaged as a result of shelling (preliminary, by an aerial bombardment). A man was injured and hospitalised.
At 2:27pm, russians attacked Kozacha Lopan village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. Residential buildings and outbuildings were burning as a result of the shelling.
There were four combat engagements towards Kharkiv. Defence forces repelled a russian attack near Vovchansk. One enemy attack is still ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, Stelmakhivka and Berestove. Fifteen battles have been completed, four are still ongoing.
Kharkiv-based documentary filmmaker Mstyslav Chernov was awarded the International Broadcasting Convention for his film 20 Days in Mariupol.
Donetsk oblast
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, russian occupiers shot three Ukrainian prisoners of war towards Toretsk.
The State Emergency Service reported that as of 1pm, a large-scale fire in Donetsk oblast, which spread to Sviatohirsk forests and houses in Yarova, was still being extinguished. Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that in Yarova village, the fire damaged 40 houses, 16 villagers were evacuated. Rescuers are working in four operational areas to prevent the fire from spreading to residential areas of Sviatohirsk. Trees and houses are also burning in Kharkiv oblast, which borders Donetsk.
Veronika Bakhal, Spokeswoman of the State Emergency Service, stated that in Kramatorsk, apartments on the 4th and 5th floors and the roofs of an apartment building are on fire. Rescuers are evacuating the building’s residents.
Serhii Horbunov, Head of Kostiantynivka CMA, said that on 3 September, russian troops dropped a KAB-500 bomb on Kostiantynivka. There were no casualties as a result of the shelling. Commercial facilities, facades of private houses, windows, DTEK line and a building were damaged..
Russian troops struck the frontline and residential areas 2,272 times.
There were explosions in 11 settlements: Bilytske, Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Selydove, Ukrainsk, Tsukuryne, Bahatyr, Halytsynivka, Illinka, Shakhtarske.
55 civilian objects were damaged, including 41 residential buildings, administrative buildings, an educational institution, a garden association, granaries, a shop, a cafe, and vehicles.
The occupiers attacked Selydove with a drone and artillery, killing a civilian and injuring three other residents.
The enemy shelled Ukrainsk with artillery, killing a man and wounding two civilians.
Also russia dropped three UMPB D-30SN guided bombs on Bahatyr, injuring two people and damaging four private houses, granaries, a shop and a civilian car.
The enemy shelled Myrnohrad using Smerch multiple rocket launchers, wounding a civilian and damaging 5 apartment buildings, 5 private houses, an administrative building and a cafe.
Three civilians were injured, an apartment building and two cars were damaged by artillery strikes in Pokrovsk.
One person was injured in Halytsynivka.
15 private houses in Shakhtarske, 7 private houses and a summer residence in Kurakhove, 4 houses in Illinka were damaged by shelling.
In addition, information was received about a wounded person in Hirnyk who suffered from an artillery strike on 1 September.
Ukrposhta denied information about the suspension of work in Pokrovsk. It is known that branches of two banks operating in Pokrovsk stopped working on 2 September. Chain supermarkets have also closed, entrepreneurs are relocating their businesses, and doctors are removing equipment from hospitals. The frontline has moved to within 8km of Pokrovsk.
372 children started school in the first grades of Pokrovsk community schools. Of the 50 schools and kindergartens in the community, more than half were damaged by shelling. Five schools were completely destroyed. All educational institutions in the community, as well as in the entire Donetsk region, are currently working remotely.

Luhansk oblast
The enemy launched 85 UAVs towards the frontline towns of Nevske and Makiivka yesterday. Most of them – 54 – were aimed at Makiivka. The offensive was supported by fire from various types of artillery. They tried to achieve success in both Lyman and Kupiansk sectors. Our soldiers are bravely holding back the enemy.
Also russians attacked near Hrekivka and Stelmakhivka.
This year, the occupation administration of Sievierodonetsk has repeatedly emphasised the mass return of locals, whose number has allegedly increased from 10-15,000 people who remained after the occupation to 60,000. However, yesterday, the collaborators themselves refuted the fake they created, reporting the number of schoolchildren as of 2 September 2024 – namely, 1,693. Compared to the beginning of the last school year, this figure has increased by only 240 people. This includes children of russian families who have settled in Sievierodonetsk over the years. Before the full-scale invasion began, more than 10,000 children were studying in the community’s schools – six times more than before.
Only after nearly 150 houses and buildings caught fire in the settlements around Antratsyt did the occupation authorities introduce a state of emergency there. The burning of dead wood on an area of 300 hectares escalated into a large-scale fire. Once again, the flames were allowed to spread to residential buildings. In two villages, entire streets have burned down. Several bodies of deceased civilians have already been found.
42,600 reports of residential destruction were filed by residents of Sievierodonetsk region, which is over 90% of the total.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The RMA reported that at night the enemy attacked Kyiv oblast using attack drones. Air defence forces prevented any hits to residential and critical infrastructure. The fragments of downed enemy targets cause fire, damaging the roof in one of the residential high-rise buildings, and forest litter fire in two oblast districts.
Danish Embassy in Ukraine reported that on 2 September, russian missile fire damaged the offices of Danish and Norwegian humanitarian organisations in Kyiv: DanChurchAid and Norwegian Church Aid. The two organisations share an office and work together to provide assistance in Ukraine, including demining and humanitarian support.

The new academic year has started at the Mykhailo Boichuk Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design, despite the fact that part of the institution was destroyed by russians. The Academy was damaged during a rocket attack on Kyiv on 25 March 2024.
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), visited Kyiv. This is his 10th visit to Ukraine. Rafael Grossi discussed support for Ukrainian NPPs with the heads of the Ministry of Energy, SNRIU and Enerhoatom before visiting the occupied ZNPP.
Representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission visited Bucha. According to Bucha City Council, the delegation’s visit was aimed at supporting efforts to investigate crimes committed during the occupation of Bucha community.
KCMA reported that the 112th separate territorial defence brigade of Kyiv received a Locker repair vehicle. The charity foundation “Your Step” has already delivered 56 similar mobile workshops to various units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces and the third vehicle to the 112th Kyiv brigade.
Students of educational institutions of Hostomel, Bilohorod and Irpin communities started the school year at the places of remembrance. The first lesson was held at the Angels of Victory memorial complex and on the Romanivskyi Bridge, which are part of the routes of “Kyiv oblast. Places of Memory” project. The theme of the lesson was “The One Who Remembers Wins”.
62 internally displaced persons living in Kyiv oblast received microgrants to implement their projects. According to the decisions, entrepreneurs will receive between UAH 50,000 and 250,000 for business development. About UAH 14m has already been funded. The initiative will create 121 new jobs.
On 1 September, Ukrainian Fashion Week started in Kyiv, the first time it has been held in Ukraine since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion. The 25th season of UFW was opened with a joint statement by 50 representatives of the Ukrainian fashion industry to the international community. The Opening Manifest statement brought together well-known Ukrainian designers, NEW NAMES programme participants and editors of Ukrainian glossy magazines. They held posters with the words rUSSIA’S WAR AGAINST UKRAINE IS NOT OVER and SOLIDARITY IS A NEW HUMANITY.

Zhytomyr oblast
The Regional Military Administration reported that this year, Zhytomyr oblast’s schools will receive 10,000 first-graders who will be able to study offline.
A new shelter was built for the students of Romanivka Lyceum for the first of September. The community has created safe conditions for children’s education with the support of local businesses, sponsors and philanthropists.
On 2 September, a mobile pharmacy unit of Ukrvaktsyna started operating in Zhytomyr oblast. Refrigerated vehicles “We bring you medicines” have been converted so that visitors can enter them, consult a pharmacist and purchase the necessary medicines directly inside the mobile pharmacy. The mobile pharmacy will operate in the border communities of Olevsk, Narodychi and Slovechne.
Sumy oblast
Sumy Oblast Prosecutor’s Office reported that on 3 September, the russian army attacked a train locomotive with a drone at one of the railway stations in Sumy oblast. As a result of the attack, the assistant train driver was injured and hospitalised.
Artem Semenikhin, Head of Konotop, informed that on the night, 3 September, the russian army launched a strike on Konotop. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
According to the Ministry of Energy on 3 September, the russian army attacked a repair crew of energy workers in Sumy oblast with a drone. As a result of the attack, the driver of the repair crew was injured and taken to the hospital.
During night and morning, russians carried out 16 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 49 explosions. The attacks targeted Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Shalyhyne, Esman, Svesk, Yampil, Konotop communities.
Through the day, 2 September, russians carried out 81 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 219 explosions. The attacks targeted Myropil, Velyka Pysarivka, Kyrylivka, Bilopillia, Khotin, Krasnopollia, Yunalivka, Esman, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Buryn, Serydyna-Buda communities.
Myropillia community: the enemy carried out FPV-drones attacks (2 explosions).
Yunakivka community: the russians carried out a rocket strike (3 explosions).
Buryn community: mortar fire (5 explosions).
Kyrylivka community: missile strike (1 explosion)
Krasnopillia community: the enemy fired by artillery (12 explosions), the dropping of explosive devices from a UAV (8 explosions), mortar shelling (10 explosions), an FPV drone attack (2 explosions), and a kamikaze drone (2 explosions).
Esman community: mortar shelling (30 explosions), artillery (5 explosions), FPV drone attack (9 explosions), dropping of explosive devices from a UAV (2 explosions).
Khotin community: KAB airstrike (1 explosion), FPV drone strike (5 explosions).
Bilopollia community: the enemy launched an aerial bombardment (8 explosions), as a result of which a local civilian was injured, the russians also fired at the community with an anti-aircraft missile system (35 explosions), one civilian was injured.
Velyka Pysarivka community: dropped an explosive device from a UAV (1 explosion), struck by an FPV drone (3 explosions), artillery shelling (11 explosions), mortar shelling (25 explosions).
Hlukhiv community: an attack was carried out by an FPV drone (1 explosion), a kamikaze drone (1 explosion), and the enemy also launched air bombs (5 explosions).
Shalyhyne community: mortar shelling (6 explosions), FPV drone strike (1 explosion).

Chernihiv oblast
The North Operational Command reported that on the night of 3 September, Ukrainian military forces shot down five russian UAVs, likely of the Shahed”type, over Chernihiv oblast, with two of them being downed over Chernihiv. As a result of the debris falling on the outskirts of the city, two people were injured. An infrastructure facility was damaged, one garage was destroyed, and 20 others were damaged.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, informed that on 2 September, russian forces struck residential buildings in a border village of Semenivka community in Chernihiv oblast. The shelling caused fires in 38 households, and a church was also damaged.

On 2 September, the russian army shelled three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The attacks were carried out using artillery and mortars, FPV drones and other UAVs.
Novhorod-Siverskyi community:
Towards Mychalchyna Sloboda: 3 hits, dropped from UAV, three more hits – probably by FPV drones and 21 hits, probably by a 120 mm mortar.
Towards Hremiach: 3 hits, probably by FPV-drones.
Semenivka community:
Towards Semenivka: 1 hit by aircraft-type UAV.
Towards Orlykivka: six hits, likely by artillery. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out in 38 households, igniting dry grass and self-sown vegetation over an area of more than 55 hectares.
Towards Zarichchia: 7 hits, likely by artillery.
Towards Leonivka: five hits, likely by a 120mm mortar.
Towards Karpovychi: eight hits, likely by a 120mm mortar.
Snovsk community:
Towards Khrinivka: two hits, likely by a 120mm mortar.
Towards Yeline: two hits, likely by a 120mm mortar and four hits, likely by artillery.
Towards Hirsk: two hits, likely by a 120mm mortar.
No casualties or injuries among the local population were reported as a result of the shelling.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
The enemy attacked Dnipro. A 51-year-old man was killed, 6 more people injured, and a 37-year-old man was hospitalised. An industrial enterprise, a kindergarten and 7 private houses were damaged, 12 cars affected, and another 3 destroyed. Occupiers do not stop firing on Nikopol. The city was bombarded with artillery, Grads and kamikaze drones. The regional centre and Marhanets community were targeted. Infrastructure and an administrative building were damaged.
During the day, the enemy attacked Nikopol region again. A 48-year-old woman was injured by artillery shelling in the regional centre, she received medical assistance. The occupiers fired artillery and kamikaze drones at Nikopol, Marhanets and Chervonohrihorivka communities. The market was under fire, several rows of shops destroyed, utility and private enterprises, a shop, 7 private residences, 2 farm buildings and power lines damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
4 manoeuvring buggies and 200 FPV drones were sent to Ukrainian fighters of the Artan unit.
In Vinnytsia’s Lyceum №8, a memorial plaque was installed in memory of Oksana Tykhovska, primary school teacher who was killed as a result of a terrorist attack on 14 July.
Serhii Morhunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia, announced that the city sent a batch of FPV drones to the fighters of the newly created rifle division of the National Police of Ukraine.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, announced that Kirovohrad oblast continues to receive residents of Donetsk oblast. At night, 60 people from Pokrovsk and Selidovo arrived in Oleksandriia by the 36th evacuation train. The work of Oleksandria RMA, Svitlovodsk Mayor’s Office, Pryiutivsk and Popelnastivsk communities was efficient and coordinated, accompanied by interaction with emergency services, police, the Red Cross and medics who helped resettle people in communities.
Andrii Raikovich, Head of the RMA, reported that in Kirovohrad oblast, 266 IDPs from Pokrovsk community, Donetsk oblast, were resettled in 6 communities of the region.
Poltava oblast
Filip Pronin, Head of the RMA, reported that russian troops launched a missile attack on the building of the Institute of Communications in Poltava. There are killed and wounded. The number of the killed increased to 51 and 271 people were injured. 18 people can be under the rubble.
In Poltava, due to the shelling of the Communications Institute, about 150 people visited the regional blood transfusion station. During the day, the institution collected about 75 litres of blood.
Filip Pronin, Head of the RMA, reported that due to the missile attack in Poltava, the civil defence headquarters started its operation. There is Starlink and a generator available. There are also charitable organisations that provide necessary assistance. People are provided with water and hot food.
Cherkasy oblast
In Smila, on 1 September, UAH 154,196 was collected at the charity event – Instead of Flowers – Donate to the Armed Forces, which was held by educational institutions of the city.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
According to the Southern Defence Forces, on 3 September, the russian forces lost 23 units of weaponry and equipment. Also, Ukrainian forces eliminated 49 occupiers.
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that on the night of 3 September, 2 people were killed and 2 other wounded as a result of a russian strike on Zaporizhzhia.
As reported in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s briefing, Defence Forces repelled 5 russian attacks near Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne and Novoandriivka in Zaporizhzhia oblast along Orikhiv axis.
On 2 September, the russian military conducted 313 strikes on 11 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Mykolaiv oblast
According to Mykolaiv RMA, during the night of 3 September, the russian military attacked Mykolaiv and Voznesensk regions, presumably with Iskander-M missiles. There were no injuries or casualties reported.
Also, air defence forces in Mykolaiv oblast shot down 6 Shahed-136/131 drones.
Odesa oblast
In Odesa, explosions were heard around 10am and during the day due to an enemy attack.
During the night of 3 September, air defence forces in Odesa oblast intercepted and destroyed enemy Shahed-136/131 drones.
Kherson oblast
Roman Mrochko, Head of the RMA, said that around 7am, russian forces attacked Antonivka near Kherson by a drone, injuring an elderly woman.
According to the prosecutor’s office, in the morning, the russian military dropped an explosive device from a drone on one of the streets in Kizomys. A 45-year-old man was killed in the strike.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, informed that russian forces struck a residential building near Kherson, killing a 67-year-old man and injuring a 62-year-old woman. She was hospitalised.
Also, russian troops attacked a residential building in Veletenske by a drone, killing a man.
On 3 September, the russian military shelled 15 settlements in Kherson oblast. 1 person was killed and 4 others, including a child, injured. A 14-year-old girl is currently undergoing surgery.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, on 3 September, 8 fires broke out in Kherson oblast due to russian shelling. On 3 September, a fire broke out in an apartment building as a result of the shelling.

Volyn oblast
Lutsk City Council reported that the Special Operations Forces receive a Mitsubishi L 200 SUV and a DJI Matrice 300 RTK drone, which will help them perform their tasks even more effectively.
Lutsk community sent a DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo quadcopter and 3 DJI Mavic 3 PRO RC quadcopters to the 30th Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Military Unit A 0409. The Military Unit A 7364 received 2 portable radio-electronic means of combating Qwertus unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Department of Psychological Support of Personnel of the Operational Command West together with the National University Ostroh Academy organised an online course in psychology for the structure of psychological support of personnel in the military. Mentoring support for the participants was provided by psychology gurus who have vast practical and teaching experience.
Zakarpattia oblast
Representatives of the Regional Council visited soldiers on the front line. They handed over cars, drones, EW devices, generators, as well as goodies, fruits and vegetables to the military.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The Embassy of Canada in Ukraine will finance the arrangement of a special space in Ivano-Frankivsk Veterans’ Hub. The Regional Development Agency of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast signed a Grant Agreement with the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine within the framework of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives for a total amount of CAD 50,000. This will make it possible to arrange premises in the Veterans’ Hub, which was created for defenders in the RMA.
Lviv oblast
The Medical and Psychological Assistance volunteer community reported that during the week from 26 August to 1 September, 270 people were evacuated. Of them, 72 were disabled and needed help at the station, 86 needed further help, 35 needed accommodation, and 93 needed psychological counselling.
A memorial plaque to Stepan Luhovskyi, sniper of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo, was installed in Zhovkiv community. He was killed on 6 April 2022 while performing a combat mission in Luhansk oblast. Knight of the III degree For Courage Order (posthumous).
Rivne oblast
8 medical institutions of Rivne oblast will be equipped with solar stations. Currently, preparatory work is underway. The equipment consists of sets of solar panels, inverters and batteries. The presence of photovoltaic power plants will make it possible to use solar energy as a power source, as well as to store it. Solar power plants will be installed within 5 months with the funds of the World Bank.
Ternopil oblast
Soldiers of one of the military units created at Ternopil base received a Land Rover SUV. The car was purchased by the union of Ternopil entrepreneurs with extrabudgetary funds. The SUV has passed a technical inspection and is ready to perform combat missions.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community sent 20 units of equipment for detecting drones and a powerful stationary PEP system worth UAH 2.2m to the military. Since the beginning of the year, the community has sent over 130 units of REE and REP equipment.
Chernivtsi oblast
The 107th Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces received 100 quadcopters thanks to the budget funds.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Dick Schoof, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, announced an aid package worth over EUR 200m.
The Senate of Romania approved sending Patriot anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine. The Chamber of Deputies is expected to confirm the decision by the end of the week.
Ukraine signed an agreement on continued cooperation with the UN National Working Group within the framework of the Joint Preventive Plan Children and Armed Conflicts. The plan unites the efforts of Ukraine, foreign governments and international organisations for the return home of Ukrainian children abducted by russia.
Great Britain will teach English to Ukrainian civil servants for three years. The British government will allocate GBP 3m to this program.
Rustem Umyerov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, met with Sebastien Lecornu, Minister of Defense of France. The key topic of conversation was the strengthening of defence cooperation.
The European Union and Human Rights Watch called on Mongolia to arrest putin on an ICC warrant.
