It has been the 1342th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

On 27 October, there were 101 combat engagements.

The enemy shelled the settlements of Zarichchia and Khrinivka in Chernihiv oblast, as well as Bobylivka and Bila Bereza in Sumy oblast with artillery from russian territory.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the Ukrainian troops repelled one enemy attack. In addition, the enemy launched eight airstrikes, dropping 21 guided bombs, and carried out 104 shelling attacks, including one from multiple launch rocket systems.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the Ukrainian troops repelled five enemy attacks near Vovchansk, Boholivka and Bochkove. One more battle is still ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy made seven attempts to advance on Ukrainian positions near Pishchane and Stepova Novoselivka. 

Towards Lyman, the aggressor launched five assaults near Serednie, Myrne, Shandryholove and Zarichne. Two more battles are still ongoing. 

Towards Sloviansk, the Defence Forces repelled four enemy attempts to advance near Yampil, Vyimka, Fedorivka and Zvanivka. 

No offensive actions by the enemy were recorded towards Kramatorsk.

Towards Kostiantynivka, the enemy made 24 attempts to advance near Oleksandro-Kalynove, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka and Rusynyi Yar. The enemy aircraft struck Kostyantynivka with guided bombs.

Towards Pokrovsk, the enemy launched 23 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Nykanorivka, Pankivka, Sukhetske, Rodynske, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove and Molodetske. Five more battles are still ongoing.

Towards Oleksandrivka, Ukrainian troops repelled enemy attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Filiia, Piddubne, Oleksandrohrad, Novoselivka, Verbove, Oleksiivka, Novohryhorivka and Uspenivka. Seventeen out of twenty enemy offensive actions were repelled, and three more battles are still ongoing. 

Towards Huliaipole, Ukrainian troops repelled two attempts by enemy units to advance near Malynivka and Novomykolaivka, and one more battle is still ongoing. The enemy launched airstrikes on the settlements of Nove Zaporizhzhia and Ternuvate.

Towards Orikhiv, the invaders made three attempts to advance in the Kamianske area and towards Prymorske and Novoandriivka, but were repelled.

Towards Kherson, the enemy launched three unsuccessful attacks and sustained losses.

The Security Service of Ukraine presented a new generation of Sea Baby marine drones. According to published data, the updated drones can cover distances of over 1,500km, carry up to 2,000kg of cargo, and are equipped with reinforced engines and modern navigation systems. Two versions of Sea Baby were demonstrated during the presentation. One has a gyro-stabilised machine gun mount with auto-capture and target recognition system, while the other is equipped with heavy weapons, including a 10-round Grad multiple launch rocket system.

The government is launching a mechanism to compensate businesses for military risks. Companies in frontline regions will be able to receive up to UAH 10m in compensation for property damaged or destroyed as a result of attacks. Companies located in other regions of Ukraine are also eligible for compensation. Compensation will be paid for damage caused by rocket and drone strikes, air defence debris, fires, explosions and shock waves.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline

At 4pm, Ukrainian troops repelled five attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Bolohivka, and towards Bochkove in Southern Slobozhanske. Another battle is still ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk, the russian army attempted seven times to advance in the area of Stepova Novoselivka and towards Pishchane.

Over the past day, 124 combat clashes were recorded.

Towards Southern Slobozhanske, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 18 times near Vovchansk, Kamianka, Stroivka, and in the direction of Bolohivka and Dvorichanske.

Yesterday, there were 9 combat clashes towards Kupiansk. Our defenders stopped the enemy’s assault in the direction of the settlements of Pishchane and Petropavlivka.

Viktor Trehubov, Head of communications for the Joint Forces Operation, informed that some of the russian units stationed near Vovchansk were threatened with flooding after the belgorod Reservoir dam was damaged. This complicated the occupiers’ logistics and forced them to change their plans for an offensive in Kharkiv oblast.

Attacks
Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of Derhachi Military Administration, reported that at least six hits were recorded in the border town of Kozacha Lopan at around 6am. According to him, an apartment building was damaged by russian strikes.

Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 13 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were hit by enemy strikes. Three people were injured as a result of the shelling.

A 60-year-old man was injured in Osynove village, Kupiansk community; a 61-year-old man was injured in Tyshchenkivka village, Kindrashivka community; a 40-year-old man was injured in Kupiansk.

Medical personnel also provided assistance to an 88-year-old woman who was injured as a result of shelling in the village of Kurylivka on 23 October, and a 60-year-old man who was injured as a result of shelling in the village of Kivsharivka, Kupiansk community, on 25 October.

The enemy actively used various types of weapons in Kharkiv oblast:

▪️4 KAB;

▪️1 UAV of the Geran-2 type;

▪️1 UAV of the Lancet type;

▪️1 UAV of the Molniya type;

▪️2 FPV drones;

▪️3 UAVs (type to be determined).

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

▪️a restaurant building was damaged in the city of Kharkiv;

▪️power lines were damaged in Bohodukhiv region (Zolochiv), as well as a two-storey apartment building (Odnorobivka);

▪️in Kupiansk region, 2 warehouse buildings, 2 units of agricultural machinery (Blahodativka), 2 warehouse buildings, a shop (Pidserednie) were damaged;

▪️in Izium region, 2 cars (Borova, Topolske) were damaged;

▪️in Kharkiv region, a private house was damaged (Lobanivka);

▪️in Lozova region, railway infrastructure was damaged (Nove);

▪️in Chuhuiv region, a private house was damaged (Fedorivka).

Over the past week, at least 32 settlements in Kharkiv oblast, including the city of Kharkiv, have been hit by enemy strikes.

As a result of the shelling, 44 people were injured, including a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old boy.

Two people were killed. Another man was injured by an unknown explosive device.

The enemy actively used various types of weapons in Kharkiv oblast:

▪️22 KAB;

▪️41 UAVs of the Geran-2 type;

▪️5 UAVs of the Molniya type;

▪️5 UAVs of the Lancet type.

▪️6 FPV drones;

▪️7 UAVs (type to be determined).

The occupiers caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure in Kupiansk region, where a private house, two administrative buildings, four warehouses, a shop, three pieces of agricultural equipment, and two cars were damaged.

Significant damage was caused in Lozova region: 7 private houses, railway and energy infrastructure, and a car.

In Kharkiv, the enemy damaged two apartment buildings, a dormitory, 15 private houses, a kindergarten, three buildings, a restaurant, the infrastructure of five civilian enterprises, 16 cars, two trailers, and road equipment.

7 people were killed, 38 were injured, and 19 people suffered shock reactions to stress due to russian strikes on Kharkiv oblast from 20 to 26 October. Another person was injured by an explosive device.

Other

On 26 October, the transit evacuation point in Lozova received 147 people in one day. 55 people remained. A total of 9,490 people have been registered at the point since it began operating.

Over the past week, State Emergency Service units have defused 528 enemy munitions.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

According to the 7th Corps of the Airborne Forces, russian troops do not control any neighbourhoods in Pokrovsk. The occupiers who have made their way into the city are gathering and trying to move north of Pokrovsk. Over the weekend of 25-26 October, the Defence Forces destroyed about 40 russian infantrymen. According to the corps, the defence of Pokrovsk has recently been reinforced with new assault troops, artillery, and UAV crews.

Fighters from Luhansk Border Guard Detachment, together with neighbouring units, repelled a mechanised assault by the occupiers on Volodymyrivka in Donetsk oblast. Russian troops attempted to break through to the village in the rain.

The Defence Forces destroyed 14 pieces of russian equipment and about 50 russian infantrymen.

The Chervona Kalyna 14th Brigade informed that Ukrainian troops control the town of Rodynske in Pokrovsk community and are clearing it of russian troops, despite the occupiers’ claims that they have taken control of the town.

Attacks

Horbunov, Head of the Military Administration, reported that the russian army dropped two FAB-250 bombs with correction modules on Kostiantynivka. The occupiers damaged private houses, but there is no information about casualties or injuries.

In Shchurove, a fire station was damaged by a blast wave. According to Donetsk Regional Emergency Services, windows and glass in the garage were broken, but no rescuers were injured.

On 26 October, the police recorded 2,456 russian strikes on the front line and residential areas.

12 settlements were under attack: Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, Komyshuvakha, Raihorodok, Brusivka, Kalenyky, Kindrativka, Pryvillia, and Shchurove.

33 civilian objects were destroyed, including 18 residential buildings.

The russians attacked Kostiantynivka with drones and artillery, killing a civilian, damaging apartment buildings and private houses, and destroying two civilian cars.

In the centre of Druzhkivka, an enemy FPV drone targeted civilian pedestrians, killing one person and injuring another. In addition, the occupiers shelled the city with Smerch multiple launch rocket systems, damaging an apartment building, a private house and a business.

Four people were wounded in Raihorodok, and a private house and a farm building were damaged.

One person was injured in Brusivka and another in Kalenyki, Kramatorsk region.

The enemy struck Sloviansk with two Molniya-2 UAVs, damaging two apartment buildings, a café, a shop, a kiosk and a civilian vehicle.

Russian troops shelled Mykolaivka with Smerch multiple launch rocket systems, damaging 11 private houses and critical infrastructure.

In Kramatorsk and Komyshuvakha, drone attacks damaged one private house each, and in Pryvillia, they damaged railway infrastructure. An administrative building was damaged in Shchurovo.

Referring to the Yellow Ribbon movement, russian occupiers in Donetsk oblast have begun a new wave of population census. This is being done in order to identify empty apartments and houses before the onset of winter and transfer them to the russian military.

Luhansk oblast

The Regional Military Administration reported that the enemy made 17 attempts to advance towards Lyman and Sloviansk, trying to find weak spots in the defences of Ukrainian units near nine settlements. Within their area of responsibility, the occupiers used barrel artillery eight times and actively used unmanned aerial vehicles.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk oblast, residents of the so-called “lpr” have been unable to obtain a new-style russian Federation passport without leaving the region for more than eleven years. Despite regular statements by the occupying authorities about the alleged rapid introduction of this service, no actual changes have taken place.

In Siverskodonetsk, the restoration of several multi-storey residential buildings has been suspended due to a lack of funds to pay workers. The contractor responsible for the work has ceased operations and left the city. The occupation administration has not announced a date for the resumption of construction.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

DTEK reported that stabilisation power cuts will be implemented in Kyiv and the surrounding region. Energy companies have published schedules for hourly power cuts.

As a result of the russian attack on Kyiv on 25 October, the Optima-Farm warehouse was destroyed. The company is the second largest pharmaceutical distributor in Ukraine. It is reported that the destroyed warehouse supplied medicines to the central regions. The company has confirmed that the strike caused damage amounting to almost $100m.

The capital bid farewell to journalist Olena Hubanova and FreeDom TV channel cameraman Yevhen Karmazin, who were killed by a russian drone strike in Kramatorsk. About 100 people gathered at St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral to say goodbye – relatives, friends, journalists.

According to the Office of the President, a delegation led by Croatian Defence Minister Ivan Anušić visited Kyiv oblast. The foreign guests visited Moshchun, the site of fierce battles for Kyiv, and paid tribute to Ukrainian defenders at the Angels of Victory memorial. Croatian representatives also visited the memorial to the victims of the russian invasion in Bucha and toured the sites of Kyiv Region Memory Route in Irpin.

Kyiv City Military Administration is co-organising voluntary blood donation events for wounded defenders. The first donation location was Obolonskyi district on 28 October, from 8:45am to 1pm, in the building of Obolonskyi District Military Administration in Kyiv. The donation month initiative is being implemented in partnership with the KOLO Charitable Foundation and the Armed Forces Blood Centre.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyroblenerho JSC reported that emergency power cuts were introduced in the oblast.

Last week, Zhytomyr hosted the forum “Veteran Resilience. Human Rights: Strength in Unity”, which took place at the Veteran’s House. The aim of the forum was to create an open dialogue platform between veterans, government officials, civil society organisations, and international partners. The forum focused on the challenges, rights, and needs of veterans, as well as ways to reintegrate them into peaceful life.

On 27 October, another evacuation train arrived in Berdychiv. It brought 10 elderly people and persons with disabilities who had been evacuated from the frontline territories. The people were placed in residential care facilities of the social protection system of Zhytomyr oblast.

Sumy oblast

On the morning of 27 October the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, one combat engagement took place over the past day. Enemy forces carried out two airstrikes, dropping seven guided bombs, and conducted 154 attacks, including three using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

According to the State Emergency Service (SES), during the night of 27 October, russian troops struck a critical infrastructure facility in Sumy community. Firefighters managed to extinguish all fires at the site.

The Regional Military Administration (RMA) informed that as a result of the strikes, parts of the Sumy community were left without electricity. According to Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of Sumy city, the water utility is operating on backup power sources.

Following instructions from Ukrenerho, emergency power outage schedules have been introduced in Sumy oblast. The only reason for these restrictions is russia’s ongoing military aggression and damage to energy infrastructure caused by shelling, the administration stated.

Between the morning of 26 October and the morning of 27 October, russian forces launched 99 attacks on 35 settlements in 18 territorial communities of the oblast. Sumy and Shostka regions suffered the heaviest fire. The enemy used guided aerial bombs (up to 10 explosions), UAVs (over 10 explosions), grenade drops from drones (over 20 explosions), and FPV drones. The air raid alerts in the oblast lasted a total of 24 hours over the day.

According to the RMA, as a result of the attacks, one person was killed and 16 were injured.

  • In Bilopillia community, a 36-year-old man was injured in a UAV strike.

  • In Sumy community, a 44-year-old woman was injured in another drone attack.

  • The most severe losses occurred in Mykolaivka rural community, where a russian drone strike on a passenger bus in Postolne killed a 69-year-old man and injured 14 civilians, including two children — an 8-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl.

Civil infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

  • In Bilopillia community, a cargo truck was damaged;

  • In Shalyhyne community, a private house was damaged;

  • In Sumy community, a multi-storey residential building and a civil infrastructure facility were damaged;

  • In Mykolaivka rural community, a minibus was damaged;

  • In Konotop community, a non-residential building and civil infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Olha Popenko, Mayor of Pryluky, announced that representatives of Pryluky City Council and Solidarity charitable foundation from France signed a memorandum last week and agreed on a list of facilities eligible for funding. The projects include repairs to Pryluky Children’s Hospital Polyclinic and the establishment of two centres — one for veterans and one for children with disabilities. 

Chernihiv oblast

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that over the past week, Air Defence Forces, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the Border Guard Service shot down a total of 96 targets over Chernihiv oblast. He noted that local authorities, volunteers, and charitable foundations are continuously working to enhance the defenders’ effectiveness.

In Chernihiv and its outskirts on 27 October, drone strikes damaged houses and a car in a gardening community. A civilian man was injured and hospitalised.

In Koriukivka region, the enemy attacked an energy facility, leaving several border settlements without electricity. Firefighters extinguished the blaze at the impact site. Energy workers will begin repairs as soon as the security situation allows.

The “North” Operational Command reported that during the day on 26 October, russian forces launched at least eight Shahed drones at a railway station in Koriukivka community.The strikes damaged the station and nearby residential buildings.

Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that throughout 26 October, russian troops attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast — Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk. A total of 116 strikes were recorded. The enemy shelled the area using mortars, automatic grenade launchers, multiple rocket launchers, and artillery, also employing FPV drones and dropping explosive devices from UAVs. Thirteen settlements came under fire.

 According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, over the past week, the enemy carried out 309 attacks on Chernihiv oblast, with 678 explosions recorded in total. During this period, four people were killed and 14 injured. Enemy forces damaged more than 20 houses, a hospital, educational institutions, and businesses.

The Regional Military Administration reported that between 20 and 26 October, 23 people left border areas of Chernihiv oblast, evacuating from Semenivka, Koriukivka, and Snovsk communities. Nearly all evacuees remained within the oblast, while one person relocated to another region.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Air Defence Forces were active in the oblast, destroying five enemy UAVs.

In Nikopol region, russian forces continued shelling the regional centre, as well as Marhanets and Pokrovske communities, from evening until morning. The attacks were mainly carried out using drones, with additional artillery strikes reported.

In Pavlohrad region, enemy UAVs struck the area in the evening and overnight, damaging infrastructure.

Throughout the day, Nikopol region came under repeated artillery fire. The regional centre, Myrove, and Pokrovske communities were attacked. In Myrove community, a private house was destroyed, three others were damaged, and a tractor, car, motorcycle, six gas pipelines, and a power line were hit.

Vinnytsia oblast

The deaths of defenders from Vinnytsia oblast have been confirmed. Among those killed are Petro Knysh, Kostiantyn Malinovskyi, Yurii Dudchak, Anatolii Rymar, Vitalii Morhun, Artem Hoverdovskyi, Bohdan Bediuk, Ivan Stepula, Maksym Polonskyi, Hryhorii Hurak, Oleksii Buha, Ruslan Blazhko, Oleh Tkachuk, Volodymyr Ocheretnyi, Mykhailo Hachan, Yaroslav Marushchak, Oleksandr Tisar, Valerii Moroz, and Oleh Hulko.

Kirovohrad oblast

In the war with russia, Oleksandr Chornyi from Smoline community, Andrii Pokhyl from Ketrysanivka community, Viktor Potrebenko from Petrivka community, Vladyslav Vyshnia from Novoukrainka community, and Viacheslav Pustovyi from Oleksandriia community have been killed.

Oleksandr Chornyi, born in 1984, had long been listed as missing in action, but a DNA test confirmed his death. A farewell ceremony for the senior soldier will take place on 29 October in Novohrhorivka village.

Andrii Pokhyl was killed on 21 April 2025 near Oleksiivka village in Volnovakha region of Donetsk oblast as a result of an FPV drone attack. He had been considered missing since then.

Viktor Potrebenko was killed on 23 October 2025 near Novooleksandrivka village in Synelnykove region of Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

Vladyslav Vyshnia, born in 1997, was killed on 23 October 2025 while carrying out a combat mission near Kostiantynivka town in Donetsk oblast.

Forty-six-year-old Viacheslav Pustovyi was receiving treatment in Lviv for injuries sustained during combat missions near Stepne village  in Sumy oblast. The soldier died on 22 October.

Poltava oblast

Poltava oblast paid tribute to fallen defenders of Ukraine — Artem Kyrii from Khorol community, Stanislav Maksymyk from Hlobyne community, and Serhii Marakhovka from Kremenchuk.

Soldier Artem M. Kyrii was killed on 8 February 2024 in combat near Verbove village in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Soldier Stanislav V. Maksymyk was killed on 9 March 2023 during fighting near Krasnohorivka town in Donetsk oblast.

Soldier Serhii S. Marakhovka was killed on 18 October 2025 while carrying out combat missions near Pokrovsk town in Donetsk oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

Cherkasy paid tribute to Junior Sergeant Ivan Hariaiev, who was killed in action towards the north-eastern front.

A defender from Uman region, Vitalii Kolesnik, was awarded the medal “For Military Service to Ukraine”. Vitalii Kolesnik serves in the 110th Separate Mechanised Brigade. On 15 July 2024, while carrying out a combat mission, he demonstrated personal courage, dedication, and bravery, risking his own life to rescue a wounded comrade from the battlefield.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Today, 27 October, the russian army shelled the village of Prymorske with artillery. One person was killed.

It is reported that the russian army attacked one of the settlements in Polohy region. Two people were injured in the shelling.

Today, 27 October, the russian forces carried out an airstrike on Ternove. A school and private houses were damaged. One person was injured.

Yesterday, 26 October, the occupiers launched 701 attacks on 24 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The russian forces launched 16 airstrikes on Veselianka, Novoiakovlivka, Ternuvate, Stepnohirsk, Orikhiv, Rivnopillia, Solodke, Zaliznychne, and Preobrazhenka. 460 drones of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Bilenke, Zapasne, Novomykolaivka, Kushuhum, Stepnohirsk, Plavni, Stepove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Zelenyi Hai, and Malynivka. Seven MLRS attacks hit Stepove, Malynivka, and Novoandriivka. 218 artillery strikes targeted Stepnohirsk, Plavni, Stepove, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Zelenyi Hai, and Malynivka. Twenty reports were received about damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure. One person was injured, and one was killed as a result of a russian attack on Huliaipole community.

As of 4pm on 27 October, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attempts to advance near Malynivka and Novomykolaivka towards Huliaipole, with another engagement ongoing. The invaders tried three times to advance near Kamianske, Prymorske, and Novoandriivka towards Orikhiv but were repelled. Over the past day, 26 October, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled five russian attacks towards Orikhiv and two more towards Huliaipole.

Mykolaiv oblast

Yesterday, the enemy carried out five FPV drone attacks on Ochakiv, Halytsynove, and Mykolaiv communities. At 11:10am, the enemy struck the outskirts of Mykolaiv with an FPV drone. The impact occurred in an open area. There were no destructions or casualties.

Kherson oblast

Today, russian forces attacked a car in Inhulets, dropping explosives from a drone. Two people sustained blast and craniocerebral injuries, as well as concussions

Around 9:30am, russian troops attacked Tekstylne with a drone. A 50-year-old man suffered a blast injury and a shrapnel wound to the head.

Residents of Bilozerka sought medical help after being hit by a russian drone on 24 October. A 61-year-old man and his 60-year-old wife were diagnosed with blast injuries and concussions. 

A Kherson resident who was injured during a russian attack the previous day also sought medical care. The 52-year-old man sustained a blast injury, concussion, and hypertensive crisis.

Yesterday, 26 october, the russian forces shelled Antonivka, Blahovishchenske, Naddniprovske, Sadove, Honcharne, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Novodmytrivka, Tomynа Balka, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Oleksandrivka, Daryiivka, Ivanivka, Inhulets, Mykilske, Novotiahynka, Poniativka, Tokarivka, Fedorivka, Beryslav, Ukrainka, Novoraisk, Kostyrka, Monastyrske, Charivne, Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Tiahynka, Vysoke, Mykolaivka, Odradokamianka, Olhivka, Mylove, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Vesele, and the city of Kherson. Eight apartment buildings, nineteen private houses, a farm building, a private garage, cars, and a gas pipeline were damaged. One person was injured due to russian aggression.

As of 4pm on 27 October, the enemy made three unsuccessful attempts to advance towards Kherson, suffering losses.

From 20 to 26 October, russian forces launched 2,889 drones of various types against the right bank of Kherson oblast. Of these, 1,490 were used within Kherson community. Ukrainian units destroyed or neutralized 2,616 russian drones, including 1,400 within Kherson community. Thus, almost 90% of russian UAVs failed to reach their targets.

Volyn oblast

A week before his wedding anniversary, soldier Vitalii Pishchansky, driver-sapper of the engineering department of the engineering-sapper platoon of the company of the support battalion of the military unit 3056 of the National Guard of Ukraine, was killed on 11 August, 2025, defending his native Kherson oblast from russian invaders.

Zakarpattia oblast

Uzhhorod City Council held a meeting with Jiri Borcel, Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv, Petr Pospisyl, Deputy Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv, Consul Petra Ksus, and Vojtech Vraspir, representative of the Czech Trade Development Agency. They discussed the further development of cross-border cooperation, the implementation of joint grant projects and infrastructure development.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

As part of the Caring for the Hero’s Family regional project, 2 more families of Defenders and their children spent a week in picturesque Yaremche. They were hospitably received at the Bear Mountain recreation complex, where all conditions were created for a comfortable stay, comfort and recovery.

Lviv oblast

The In memories, in memory, in the heart… requiem event was held at Novoyavoriv Lyceum №1. During it, 2 memorial signs were installed. Both Heroes, Andrii Hevala and Yurii Protsyk, studied at this school. Families of defenders, their brothers, students and teachers joined the commemoration.

Rivne oblast

Over 900 internally displaced persons have been accommodated in Rivne oblast boarding houses since the start of the full-scale invasion. Currently, these facilities house 510 people evacuated from the active fighting zone. They receive four meals a day, support, nursing care and other services.

Ternopil oblast

Indicators of community assistance to the Defense Forces of Ukraine vary depending on the size of the community and the volume of its budget. In terms of the percentage ratio of expenditures on assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the amount of revenues (as of 1 October), the following communities of Ternopil oblast are among the best (second five): Velykohayivska rural community – 7.3% of revenues, Baykovetska rural community – 6.6% of revenues, Ozernianska rural community – 6.6% of revenues, Bilche-Zolotetska rural community – 6.3% of revenues and Ivane-Pustenska rural community – 6.1% of revenues.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community sent 25 DJI Matrice 4T quadcopters worth UAH 4.2 m to the Defense Forces. They were purchased at taxpayers’ expense.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that for courage and heroism shown in defending the state, soldier Mykhailo Tkachuk was awarded with the III degree Order of Courage (posthumously).

Germany announced the allocation of €60m for the restoration of Ukraine’s energy sector.

The United Kingdom and France have decided to transfer additional Mirage 2000-5F fighter jets to Ukraine.
