It has been the 1297  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On 11 September, there were 82 combat clashes on the frontline. Ukrainian defenders are stopping the enemy, holding the lines and destroying the plans of russians.

Nova Huta, Khliborob, Kucherivka, Bila Bereza, Mykolaivka in Sumy oblast were under russian artillery shelling. The enemy also launched an airstrike in the area of ​​the settlement of Hremiach in Chernihiv oblast.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, there were no combat clashes.One missile and nine air strikes were launched, d three missiles used and 16 guided aerial bombs dropped , and  74 attacks carried out.

Towards Southern Sloboda, there were nine combat clashes near Vovchansk, Ambarne and Odradne, two enemy attacks are still ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk, three combat clashes are ongoing. In total, the enemy advanced five times on the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Holubivka, Pishchane, and Nova Kruhliakivka.

Towards Lyman, there were eight combat clashes, four of which are still ongoing. The enemy attacked near Kolodiazne, Shandryholove, and Stavky.

Towards Siversk, the enemy carried out 13 attacks in the vicinity of Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, Yampil, Dronivka, and Vyimka; three more combat clashes are still ongoing.

Towards Kramatorsk, Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks. The enemy conducted offensive actions, trying to advance in the vicinity of ​​Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Stupochky.

Towards Toretsk, the defense forces stopped four enemy attacks out of eight. The invader tried to advance in the vicinity of Shcherbynivka, Katerynivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, and Poltavka.

Towards Pokrovsk, russian troops tried 29 times to advance on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Maiak, Novoekonomichne, Mykolaivka, Myroliubivka, Udachne, Muravka, Dachne, Novoukrainka, Myrnohrad, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, and Filiia. Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 attacks.

Towards Novopavlivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy attacks near the settlements of Vorone, Ternove, Novomykolaivka, Filiia, and Ivanivka.

Towards Huliaipole, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. The occupiers launched airstrikes on the settlements of Bilohiria and Zaliznychne.

Towards Orikhiv, the aggressor conducted one futile attack near Mala Tokmachka. Novoiakovlivka and Veselianka were subjected to airstrikes.

Towards Kherson, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. The enemy launched an air strike in the area of ​​the settlement of Lvove.


In the remaining directions, there were no significant changes in the situation.

Ukrainian troops are exhausting the enemy along the entire line of combat contact and in the rear.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Towards Southern Sloboda, russians stormed nine times in the vicinity of ​​Vovchansk, Ambarne and Odradne, two attacks are ongoing;

Towards Kupiansk, the Defense Forces continue to repel three assaults. In total, the occupiers attacked five times in the vicinity of ​​Holubivka, Pishchane, and Nova Kruhliakivka.

There were 195 combat clashes in the oblast.

Towards Southern Sloboda, there were 13 combat clashes in the vicinity of Vovchansk, Ambarne and Odradne.

Towards Kupiansk, there were seven attacks. The Defense Forces repelled enemy assault actions in the vicinity of Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, Zahryzove, Holubivka and Kurylivka.

russians attacked a civilian car in Shevchenko community with a drone. As a result of the enemy strike in the village of Spodobivka, three people were injured: an 88-year-old and a 65-year-old woman and a 76-year-old man. The injured were hospitalized and are receiving all necessary assistance.

18 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were hit by enemy strikes. 10 people were injured as a result of the shelling.

In the village of Kivsharivka, Kupiansk community, a 59-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were injured – emergency medical workers, as well as a 59-year-old man; in the village of Hrushivka, Kindrashivka community, an 83-year-old and 55-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man were injured; in the village of Pohonivka, Barvinkivka community, a 59-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were injured; in the village of Borova, a 75-year-old woman was injured; in the village of Fedorivka, Izium community, a 61-year-old man was injured.

The enemy actively used various types of weapons in the oblast:

▪️4 GABs;

▪️8 UAVs of the Geran-2 type;

▪️6 fpv drones;

▪️1 UAV (type to be determined).

In Kupiansk region, the premises of a lyceum and a preschool educational institution, 9 private houses, 8 outbuildings, a garage, a car (Hrushivka village); an emergency medical vehicle (Kivsharivka village), a garage (Horiane village), a private house (Katerynivka village);

In Izium region, 3 private houses (Horokhovatka village), a private house (Pidlyman village), private houses (Fedorivka village), a private house, a car (Pohonivka village), a van (Barvinkove city), an apartment building and a private house were damaged, and forest litter on an area of ​​3 hectares was burned (Borova village).

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 155 people during the day. 59 people remained. A total of 2,373 people have been registered at the Point since the start of work.

A recreated mosaic of “Boryviter” has appeared at Yaroslava Mudryho metro station in Kharkiv, Ukraine WOW reported. The original panel, created by a group of artists led by artist Alla Horska in Mariupol, was significantly damaged during the Russian invasion in 2022, and its fate is currently unknown. Donetsk oblast

Kramatorsk RMA reports that in Kramatorsk, russians struck the emergency brigade of one of the municipal enterprises with an FPV drone with a warhead in the morning.

Kramatorsk RMA reports that in the morning, russian troops launched an airstrike on the Kramatorsk community. According to updated data, the occupiers dropped four FAB-250s from the UMPK. One of the bombs fell in an open area, damaging 3 high-rise buildings and wounding a woman born in 1970. The other three bombs fell in an industrial area. 

On September 11, russia carried out 1,878 strikes on the front line and residential sector.

14 settlements were under fire: the cities of Dobropillia, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, the settlements of Bylbasivka, Oleksievo-Druzhkivka, Raihorodok, the villages of Andriivka, Kaleniki, Novomykolaivka, Oleksandrivka, and Samarske.

75 civilian objects were destroyed, including 43 residential buildings.

russians struck Kostiantynivka with 8 KABs, as well as drones, Smerch MLRS and artillery – killing a civilian, wounding another. 6 apartment buildings and 20 private houses, an administrative building, an educational institution, a workshop, 8 garages, and cars were damaged.

One person was killed in Kaleniki, Lyman community, a truck was damaged. In Oleksandrivka, 6 private houses were damaged.

The enemy sent three drones to Sloviansk, damaging a private house, an agricultural enterprise, and a tractor. In Bylbasivka, Sloviansk community, 8 private houses and 4 civilian cars were destroyed as a result of a Geran-2 UAV hit.

russian troops dropped two GAB-250 bombs on Dobropillia, damaging a maternity hospital and two outbuildings. A private house was damaged in Pokrovsk.

Volunteers evacuated the last resident from the frontline village of Rubizhne in the Pokrovsk district. He was taken to a transit center in Lozova. The man’s evacuation was reported by the Proliska humanitarian mission on September 12. Mr. Ivan spent three weeks alone caring for and treating a fellow villager who had been wounded in the leg as a result of russian shelling. When the wounded man was evacuated by the military, Ivan remained the last resident of Rubizhne.

Police officers evacuated five people from the village of Yarova. Among them were relatives of those killed in a Russian airstrike on a mobile Ukrposhta office on September 9. 25 villagers died that day, most of whom had come to receive their pensions.

Luhansk oblast

Leaflets from the resistance movement ATESH have appeared in temporarily occupied Luhansk. The movement reports that despite searches and repressions, local residents held an action calling on them to join the resistance movement.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the Kyiv City State Administration, more than 3,000 buildings in Kyiv have been damaged by russian shelling since the start of the full-scale invasion, with over 2,000 of them being residential. More than 50 apartment blocks have suffered serious damage requiring technical inspection and restoration. So far, 25 residential buildings have been rebuilt, while 49 more with severe destruction are at various stages of repair.

On September 12, partners from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy arrived in Kyiv. Their visit is aimed at strengthening collective security and shaping a new system of European defense, reported Andriy Yermak, head of the President’s Office.

During a meeting Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, who also arrived in Kyiv, and President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed continued defense assistance for Ukraine and joint weapons production.

Within the framework of the annual Yalta European Strategy (YES) meeting, President Zelensky held talks in Kyiv with Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski.

Prince Harry visited Kyiv in the morning of September 12. He met with Ukrainian veterans at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War. This marks his second visit to Ukraine this year, following his April trip to a rehabilitation center for wounded servicemen in Lviv.

In Kyiv oblast, development of Active Parks is underway. These parks are spaces for sports and community activities that support mental health and serve as meeting places. Such projects play an important role in engaging veterans in community life.  According to the Regional Military Administration, a concept for such a park in Boyarka has been developed.

Zhytomyr oblast

An additional 20 million UAH will be allocated from the Zhytomyr community budget to support security and defense forces. This decision was made by deputies during an extraordinary session of the city council. The funds will be directed toward the purchase of property and material resources for the military.

In Zhytomyr oblast, 29 institutions in the field of physical culture and sports have already joined the “Veterans’ Sport” initiative. Th project provides veterans with opportunities to choose various types of activities – from classic training to adaptive methods.

Sumy oblast

 Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that after 6a.m. on 12 September, russian forces launched a missile strike on Bytytskyi Starosta Region of Sumy community. The russian military attacked the village’s residential area with three missiles. A large fire broke out at the site of impact, causing severe destruction to residential buildings. While firefighters were extinguishing the blaze, the enemy deliberately carried out repeated strikes targeting the emergency crews.

As a result of the russian attack on Bytytskyi Starosta Region, two men were killed and five people wounded. Two women, aged 75 and 62, were hospitalised. Five houses were destroyed and 10 households damaged. Despite the constant danger, all fire outbreaks were extinguished.

On the morning of 12 September, russian strike drones attacked an industrial zone on the outskirts of Sumy. A man was killed – the body of a security guard was found under the rubble of a destroyed building. A fire broke out at the site of the attack, damaging vehicles and non-residential buildings.

The Sumy City Council reported that on 12 September, a Day of Mourning was declared in Sumy community for those killed in russian attacks on Sumy and Bytytskyi Starosta Region. As a mark of respect, state flags were lowered on administrative buildings, as well as on facilities of enterprises, institutions, and organisations. All entertainment events were cancelled, and playing entertainment music in shops, catering establishments, and public transport was prohibited.

In the evening of 11 September, russia struck a car in Sumy region by a drone. A 19-year-old woman was injured and hospitalised, doctors are providing assistance.

 The Regional Military Administration informed that during the day, from the morning of 11 September to the morning of 12 September, russian forces carried out 66 attacks on 31 settlements across 13 territorial communities in the oblast. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (over 20 strikes), UAVs (up to 10 strikes), VOG drops by drones (10 strikes), as well as a missile strike and FPV-drone attacks.

Consequences of russian attacks on Sumy oblast as of the morning of 12 September:

  • In Sumy community, a religious building, civilian infrastructure, non-residential premises, two private houses, and vehicles were damaged.
  • In Velyka Pysarivka community, civilian infrastructure and a private household were damaged.
  • In Druzhba community, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
  • In Bilopillia community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
  • In Mykolaivka rural community, a 19-year-old woman was injured when a strike drone hit a car. A private household and non-residential buildings were damaged, and one non-residential facility was destroyed.

A 16-year-old boy injured in a drone strike on 10 September in Velyka Pysarivka community was transferred to Kyiv’s Okhmatdyt children’s hospital for highly specialised treatment. His condition remains critical.

In Sumy oblast, actor of Lviv theatres and serviceman Andrii Synyshyn was killed on the front line. He was 26 years old. The And People, and Puppets Theatre and the Les Kurbas Theatre reported his death. He had been missing since 16 April and considered missing in action for almost five months, but the theatres have now confirmed his passing.

Over the past day, local authorities together with the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and NGOs evacuated nine people from border communities.

Chernihiv oblast

 Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that the intensity of shelling and the number of russian air attacks on Chernihiv oblast are increasing. According to him, over the past day alone, the oblast suffered 37 shellings, with 52 strikes recorded across 21 settlements. An enemy Geran UAV struck the territory of one of Chernihiv’s enterprises, partially damaging buildings. In Nizhyn and Koriukivka regions, drone attacks caused a one-hectare forest floor fire. In Novhorod-Siverskyi region, a non-residential building caught fire after being hit by an FPV-drone.

 Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that during the day on 11 September, russian forces attacked three border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (2 explosions), artillery shelling (2 explosions), and MLRS Grad shelling (8 explosions), launched FPV-drone strikes (11 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (7 explosions).

Chernihiv Regional Police informed that throughout the day on 11 September, police explosives experts neutralised the warheads of seven russian strike drones. The wreckage of the UAVs was found in open areas and near settlements in Nizhyn and Chernihiv regions. These drones had been shot down by Ukraine’s Defence Forces.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

 Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the oblast council, says that from evening until morning, the enemy continued to attack Nikopol region. Drones were used, artillery and MLRS Grad were fired upon. They targeted the district center, Marhanetska and Myrivska communities. A fire broke out, an outbuilding was damaged. According to updated information, a 21-year-old man was injured in yesterday’s attacks. UAVs were used in Mezhova community of the Synelnyky district.

About four dozen attacks – the occupiers again terrorized Nikopol region with drones and artillery. They targeted Nikopol, Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrov communities. A 66-year-old woman died as a result of the morning attacks in Marhanets community. Three more people were injured – men aged 59 and 65, as well as a 78-year-old woman. 13 private houses, 2 apartment buildings, 7 outbuildings, a cafe, 2 cars, 3 gas pipelines and a power line were damaged. Synelnykove region was attacked again. UAVs were aimed at Mezhova community. Fires broke out, a building that was not in use and a private residence were damaged.

Vinnytsia region

Vinnytsia paid tribute to Volodymyr Podolian, who fought as part of the 80th separate airborne assault Galician brigade. As a UAV operator of the Foxtrot strike unmanned aerial vehicle company, he destroyed Russian targets in the Sumy direction. The defender fought his last battle on September 5. He was 30 years old.

Poltava oblast

Memorial plaques were unveiled on the facades of Poltava educational institutions in honor of three defenders of Ukraine: Oleh Romanenko, Oleksandr Roman and Dmytro Merzly. They all died in the war with russia.

Cherkasy oblast

In Talne, residents met the defender Oleh Borovets, who was released from captivity. He spent more than three years in russian captivity.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On 11 September, the occupiers carried out 440 attacks on 16 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 7 airstrikes on Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Uspenivka, Novomykolayivka, and Malynivka. 276 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Chervonodniprovka, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Preobrazhenka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Verkhnia Tersa. Two MLRS strikes hit Novoandriivka and Malynivka. 155 artillery strikes targeted Yurivka, Chervonodniprovka, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. There were 22 reports of damaged apartments, private houses, and farm buildings. One person was killed as a result of enemy attacks on Polohy region.

On 11 September, five fires broke out in Zaporizhzhia oblast as a result of russian shelling. Residential buildings, farm buildings, and the ecosystem were burning.

On 11 September, the Defense Forces repelled one russian assault towards Orikhiv. In particular, the russians stormed Ukrainian positions near Kamianske.

Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) were denied access by the occupation administration of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to the diesel fuel storage. In addition, IAEA experts reported numerous attacks near the Zaporizhzhia NPP site.

Mykolaiv oblast

At night on 12 September, around 04:10, the enemy attacked Voznesensk region with Shahed 131/136 strike UAVs. As a result of the enemy attack, a fire broke out. A recreational infrastructure facility was also damaged.

On 11 September, the enemy attacked the water area and coastal zone of the city of Ochakiv six times with FPV drones.

On 11 September, 2025, Pervomaisk community welcomed back defender Andrii Solntsev, who was released from captivity. The serviceman had been held prisoner for more than three years.

Kherson oblast

On 12 September, at around 09:30, russian forces shelled Kherson once again. As a result of the enemy strike, a 53-year-old man sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the head, torso, arms, and legs.

That night, russians attacked a man in Kherson’s downtown with a drone. He suffered a concussion, blast injury, and closed craniocerebral trauma.

Two residents of Antonivka sought medical help after being injured the previous afternoon in a russian drone attack. The men were diagnosed with multiple shrapnel wounds to the torso, blast injuries, and open craniocerebral trauma.

Yesterday, 11 September, the russian forces attacked Antonivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Veletenske, Rozlyv, Kizomys, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Sofiivka, Shyroka Balka, Mykilske, Tokarivka, Ivanivka, Beryslav, Mylove, Dudchany, Respublikanets, Sablukivka, Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Chervonyi Maiak, Novoraisk, Vysoke, Burhunka, Lvove, Odradokamianka, Mykolaivka, Mykhailivka, Vesele, Kozatske, and the city of Kherson. As a result of the attacks, two apartment buildings, 31 private houses, a gas pipeline, outbuildings, a private garage and car, and agricultural machinery were damaged. Six people were injured due to russian aggression.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

In Volyn oblast, a munition fell from a Ukrainian military aircraft, destroying a residential building in the village of Kopyllya. The State Bureau of Investigation has already opened a criminal case into this fact. As a result of the munition’s fall, an explosion occurred, destroying one of the houses in the village. The owners were not at home at the time. Neighboring houses were also damaged, their windows shattered by the blast wave. It is reported that no people were injured.

Zakarpattia oblast

The 1st direct train to Budapest departed from Uzhhorod. This is train №146 Uzhhorod – Budapest – Vienna.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The explosives unit of the State Emergency Service, which demines territories in Kherson, Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts, sent electronic warfare equipment from Ivano-Frankivsk community.

Lviv oblast

Soldiers of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade and the K2 and Rarog unmanned systems regiments received 28 buggies, quad bikes, and hexacycles worth over UAH 24m. These are the 1st results of a large collection by Lviv RMA and Return Alive for transport for 6 combat units operating in the hottest areas of the front.

Yurii Kachmar, defender of the ranks of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, from Sambir was awarded with the III degree For Courage Order (posthumously). He was killed in January 2023, performing a combat mission in Donetsk oblast. The award was received by the Hero’s mother, Maria Mykhailivna.

A traditional tournament dedicated to the second anniversary of the memory of the Hero of Ukraine Roman Haykovy, who died in the war, was held in Zolochiv. During the match, a prize draw was held. UAH 15,000 was raised for the operational brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine Bureva, in which Roman Haykovy served and which continues to defend Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

40 children from Zaporizhzhia oblast underwent a health resort in Rivne oblast. They rested for 2 weeks in one of the health resorts. Excursions, competitions, master classes and much more were organized for the young guests.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil community sent 9 laser target designators White Three-Zone 50 to the servicemen of the regional command of the territorial defense forces West.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community sent UAH 19.5m in property (FPV, copters, drones, electronic warfare) to the Defense Forces. In addition, it added funds to the Defense Projects Grant Support Program. This will allow for an increase in the transfer of various equipment to the military.

Chernivtsi oblast

In Chernivtsi clinic Angelholm, with the support of the state, modern prostheses are manufactured and provided to the military free of charge. And the team treats the wounded at its own expense and provides the necessary support.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
