russian artillery shelling from the territory of the russian federation affected Marine, Chernatske, Bobylivka, Bila Bereza, Khodyne, Prokhody, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk in Sumy oblast, and Semenivka, Liskivshchyna, Tymonovichi in Chernihiv oblast.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, there were six combat clashes, two of which have not subsided to this day. The enemy launched 6 airstrikes, dropped a total of 18 guided aerial bombs and carried out 146 artillery shells, including 20 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Towards Southern Sloboda, Ukrainian units repelled three enemy attacks in the vicinity of the settlements of Kamianka, Zelene, Ambarne, Vovchansk and towards the settlement of Khatne; six more clashes are ongoing to this day.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked positions five times in the vicinity of the settlements of Kindrashivka, Holubivka, and Zelenyi Hai – Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all enemy assaults.
Towards Lyman, the invading army carried out 21 attacks in the vicinity of the settlements of Hrekivka, Chervonyi Stav, Serebrianka, Karpivka, Novyi Myr and Torske. Four clashes are currently ongoing.
Towards Siversk, the enemy twice attacked positions of the Defense Forces in the direction near Hryhorivka and Ivano-Daryivka.
Towards Kramatorsk, there were no clashes.
Towards Toretsk, russians tried six times to push our units out of their occupied positions in the areas of the settlements of Diliivka, Toretsk, Rusyn Yar and Yablunivka. The defense forces successfully repelled five enemy assaults, one battle is ongoing.
Towards Pokrovsk, the enemy made 26 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders out of their occupied positions in the vicinity of the settlements of Myroliubivka, Poltavka, Novoekonomichne, Myrne, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Horikhove, Oleksiivka and in the vicinity of the settlements of Pokrovsk, Molodetske, Dachne and Muravka. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and have already repelled 19 enemy attacks.
Towards Novopavlivka, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five attacks by the occupation army in the vicinity of the settlements of Zaporizhzhia, Zirka, Myrne, Komar, Novosilka and towards Novopavlivka, two more battles are ongoing.
Towards Huliaipole, two enemy attacks are ongoing in the direction near Malynivka. The enemy carried out airstrikes on the settlement of Zaliznychne.

Ground Forces reported that on July 6, russia launched an airstrike with UAVs on Kremenchuk, Poltava oblast. The strike hit the building of the regional CCC and SP, and a residential building nearby was also recorded to have been hit.

Vitalii Karabanov, Head of the RMA, says that at night, Balakliia was hit by a massive drone strike. As a result of the hits, a fire broke out in the dry land. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. 20 private houses were damaged, in the morning, municipal services, charities and a commission for recording damaged property are working at the scene
The State Emergency Service reported that while extinguishing a fire in one of the districts of Kharkiv, which arose as a result of a russian UAV attack on the night of July 6, russians launched a second attack on rescuers. The personnel were not injured, as they took shelter in time. A fire tanker was damaged.
At least 21 buildings were damaged as a result of a UAV attack on Kharkiv on the night of July 6, the city council reported.
Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 13 settlements of the oblast were subjected to enemy attacks.
2 people were killed as a result of the shelling, including a child. 11 people were injured, including 2 children.

In the village of Odnorobivka, Zolochiv community, an 8-year-old boy died, a 3-year-old boy, a 40-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were injured when a russian drone hit their car in Odnorobivka on the evening of July 5, said Viktor Kovalenko, head of Zolochiv community. The family came to Odnorobivka to visit relatives and when they were returning, the drone hit the back of the car, where the children were sitting.
The enemy attacked 8 UAVs in Shevchenkivskyi and Novobavarskyi districts of Kharkiv.

Donetsk oblast
Frontline
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that more than a quarter of all battles took place towards Pokrovsk. In total, on July 5, the Russian occupiers attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 200 times along the entire front line. In the oblast, the hottest areas remain Pokrovsk and Lyman.
Shelling
Donetsk oblast prosecutor’s office reported that on the night of July 6, russian troops struck Novohryhorivka and Andriivka with drones, one person was killed and three others were injured.

According to Kramatorsk RMA Honcharenko, on the night of July 6, russian troops used drones to strike the civilian infrastructure of Kramatorsk. They struck the city with four Geran-2 UAVs. According to preliminary information, there are no wounded or dead civilians.
Vadim Filashkin, Head of Donetsk RMA, says that three people were killed, seven more injured due to russian shelling on July 5. The russian army killed residents of Andriivka, Novohryhorivka and Marnohrad.
Luhansk oblast
The RMA reports that over the past day, the enemy had artillery and aviation support. In particular, 22 artillery shells were fired, 40 unmanned aerial vehicles were used, and four FPV drones were also sent. russian troops carried out attacks in the Lymansky direction, in the areas of the settlements of Novoiehorivka and Hrekivka.
Cases of delays in the payment of budget funds in the territory of the so-called “lpr” have become regular. Employees of utility companies are forced to wait for months for their earned wages. Thus, in the winter and spring of 2025, the occupation administration stopped paying employees of the complex utility service center of the city of Lysychansk. The enterprise has accumulated arrears of wages exceeding 18 million rubles.
Despite the long-term absence of mobile communication in Sievierodonetsk, the occupation authorities have decided to open a subscriber service center in the city. It is reported that the center will provide consultations on connecting to the network, replenishing accounts, restoring numbers, etc. It is noted that the center is a “modern, comfortable and technological space.” In addition, the sale of mobile phones and accessories is planned in the future. At the same time, mobile coverage is available only tens of kilometers from the city.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Three people were injured in Kyiv oblast as a result of an enemy UAV attack on a settlement in Vyshhorod region. A 35-year-old man suffered shrapnel wounds to his back, arms and legs. A 79-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man suffered acute stress reactions. A woman born in 1938 was rescued from one of the damaged private houses.
As a result of russian shelling, two multi-storey buildings, a kindergarten, six private houses and farm buildings were damaged. Four garages and a car were destroyed by fire, and three more cars damaged.


The State Emergency Service reported that the enemy attack on the night of 6 July caused destruction and fires in the industrial and residential sectors of Vyshhorod community. The aftermath of the russian shelling is still being cleared up, with 15 pieces of equipment, 67 personnel, and volunteers from the Red Cross Rapid Response Team involved.

Kyiv City Military Administration reported that the number of victims of the russian attack on Kyiv on 4 July had risen to 32 people. A 40-year-old woman was admitted to hospital and received all the necessary medical assistance. Two people were killed in the attack.
According to Kyiv City State Administration, This year, 17 Kyiv defenders benefited from a programme offering partial compensation for the cost of purchasing a car. These are military personnel who received a Group I or II disabled status as a result of the amputation of a limb or part of a limb after 24 February 2022.
The animated film ‘I Died in Irpin’ was included in the programme of the PragueShorts international film festival. The documentary tells the story of the first days of the full-scale invasion through the personal story of the director. It lasts 11 minutes and combines animation based on charcoal drawings and Anastasia Falileeva’s personal archives.
Zhytomyr oblast
Viacheslav Hlazunov, Head of the capital construction department of Zhytomyr City Council, announced that the demolition of Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 25, which was bombed by russian troops in the early days of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, is in its final stages. After the demolition of the above-ground part of the building is completed, the city council will order a technical report to assess the condition of the foundations. Afterwards, it will be possible to proceed with the design of a new building for the educational institution.
In Ruzhyn community, in collaboration with the Centre for Resilience, an event called ‘The Power is Within You’ was recently held for the wives of veterans and military personnel. The event was organised as part of the All-Ukrainian mental health programme ‘How are you?’. The aim of the event was to create a safe space of support where women whose loved ones have fought or are fighting in the war can share their experiences, tell their own stories and feel the strength of the community.
Sumy oblast
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, Ukrainian defenders repelled 23 attacks. Over the past day, russian forces carried out 10 airstrikes, dropped a total of 28 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 312 artillery shelling, including 10 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The Regional Military Administration stated that on the morning of 6 July, russian forces attacked a civilian vehicle in Khotin community using an FPV-drone. As a result of the attack, a local 49-year-old man was injured. He was taken to the hospital with injuries and is receiving medical care.
During the night, russian forces dropped a guided aerial bomb on the territory of Bytytskyi starosta district of Sumy community, and in the morning, they launched a missile strike. As a result of the attacks, around 15 private houses in the village were damaged — windows were shattered, roofs, facades, and walls were damaged. No casualties were reported.
The Regional Military Administration informed that as a result of russian shelling, private households and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged in Sumy community, and private households were damaged in Seredyna-Buda community.
According to the North Operational Command, a house in Boiaro-Lezhachi village, Novoslobidska community, was damaged by a guided aerial bomb (GAB) strike. In Seredyna-Buda, five mortar explosions and three drone strike explosions were recorded. As a result of the shelling, private houses were damaged.
During the day from the morning of 5 July to the morning of 6 July, russian forces carried out over 90 shelling attacks on 31 settlements across 16 territorial communities in the oblast. The most intense shelling was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (over 30 hits), dropped VOG grenades from UAVs (over 20 drops), and also conducted FPV-drone and missile strikes.
Over the past day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organizations from border communities, evacuated 3 people.
Chernihiv oblast
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that over the past day, on 6 July, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (16 explosions) and barrel artillery strikes (6 explosions), launched a Molniya UAV strike (1 explosion), conducted FPV-drone attacks (20 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (8 explosions). Thirteen settlements came under enemy fire.
The North Operational Command informed that as a result of russian shelling Semenivka city, a utility building was damaged. In Yanzhulivka village, Semenivka community, a private house was damaged.
The HALO Trust international organization has cleared 177 hectares of land in Chernihiv oblast. According to their assessments, 336 hectares in the oblast remain contaminated. So far, The HALO Trust team has detected and destroyed over 2,000 explosive devices in the area. For efficient and rapid demining, they use both mechanical and manual methods. Prior to this, the team surveys the area using drones.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the DOC, reports that from evening until morning, the occupiers continued to strike Nikopol region with drones and artillery. They targeted the regional center, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Pokrovske communities. Infrastructure was damaged.
During the day, the occupiers struck Nikopol region almost three dozen times with drones and artillery. They targeted the regional center, Myrivove, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanetska and Pokrovske communities. Several fires occurred, a high-rise building, a shopping center, a private enterprise, 5 private homes, 3 outbuildings, 2 greenhouses, a yard building were damaged, two more were completely destroyed, infrastructure, solar panels and gas pipelines were affected. The enemy also attacked Synelnykove region. A 51-year-old man was injured. In Mezhova community, a private house and infrastructure were damaged.
Kirovohrad oblast
At night, as a result of a hostile drone attack, one of the agricultural enterprises in Znamensk MTG was damaged. The economic building and equipment were destroyed.
Poltava oblast
Poltava RMA reports that as a result of a hostile attack on the Kremenchuk district, a fire broke out on the territory of a private household. As a result of the strike, 16 buildings were damaged. These are private houses, high-rise buildings, an educational institution and commercial premises. Two people were injured.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, reports that at night, the defense forces shot down 3 russian UAVs.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, reported that a 58-year-old combine operator was injured in a russian FPV drone strike in Polohy region. The combine harvester, operating in a field, was damaged in the attack.
The russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia city and Zaporizhzhia oblast by Shahed drones. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
Updated data shows that russian forces launched 6 Shahed drones at Zaporizhzhia oblast. One of the strikes hit Yurivka village, where a residential house was damaged and an 89-year-old woman was injured.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on 5 July, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 13 russian assaults in Orikhiv and Huliaipole regions. 8 of these assaults were aimed at Malynivka, while 5 targeted Kamianske region.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, stated that in total, russian forces carried out 532 attacks across 14 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast on 5 July, including 6 airstrikes on Stepnohirsk, Huliaipole and Bilohiria.
According to the State Emergency Service, 5 fires broke out due to russian shelling. In Verkhnia Tersa, a barley field caught fire, and in Novopavlivka an unused farm building was set ablaze.
Mykolaiv oblast
Based on the information provided by Mykolaiv RMA, a morning attack on Tsentralnyi district of Mykolaiv resulted in damage to a building, a cafeteria, a bank and several cars, with windows shattered in nearby buildings. 3 people were injured: a 31-year-old woman was hospitalised in moderate condition and a 35-year-old man received medical assistance on site. In total, 10 residential buildings, a food establishment and a bank were damaged.
Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv RMA, said that during the night of 6 July, russian forces massively attacked Mykolaiv by Shahed drones, hitting port infrastructure. Warehouses and electrical networks were damaged. There were no injuries reported.
According to Mykolaiv RMA, on the night of 6 July, russian forces targeted Kobleve community by Shahed drones. In Rybakivka village, 13 homes were damaged, along with several resort buildings, a Ukrposhta branch and a store. An electric power line was damaged and 531 customers were left without power as of 7:29am. There were no injuries reported.
Air defence forces shot down 26 Shahed drones over Mykolaiv oblast during the night.
Odesa oblast
The Ukrainian Navy reported that as of 6am on 6 July, 2 russian warships were detected in the Black Sea, including 2 carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 8 missiles.
Kherson oblast
Referring to Kherson RMA, a 72-year-old man was injured in russian shelling in Kherson the day before. He sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wound to the leg and was hospitalised.
A resident of Antonivka was injured by a russian drone strike. The man suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the face and abdomen and was hospitalised.
At 12:40pm,russian troops used a drone to attack Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. A 74-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds and were hospitalised.
Vitalii Shanko, Head of the CMA, reported that russian forces dropped explosives from a drone in Antonivka, killing a man whose identity is currently being verified.
The RMA reported that around midday, another drone strike on Dniprovskyi district injured a 62-year-old woman, who suffered blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to her legs and face. She was hospitalised.
Around 8am, a 56-year-old man was wounded by a russian drone in the same district. He sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the legs and chest.
The SES informed that in the morning, russian artillery struck Kherson, causing a fire at a gas station. While emergency workers were extinguishing the fire, russian forces attacked again, damaging a fuel tanker truck. There were no injuries among personnel or civilians reported.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, stated that on 5 July, russian troops attacked 32 settlements in Kherson oblast, killing 2 people and injuring 3. 5 high-rise buildings, 6 private houses, a gas station, a garage and vehicles were damaged.
The Prosecutor’s Office stated that on 6 July, a 68-year-old woman was killed in a russian drone strike in Antonivka. 2 civilians were injured. All were outdoors at the time of the attack. Prosecutors have opened a pre-trial investigation for war crimes.

Volyn oblast
In Lutsk, preparations are underway to dismantle one of the sections of a nine-story building on Ozeretska Street, which suffered significant damage as a result of the russian attack on 6 June. Access to the entrances of the high-rise building remains closed.
Zakarpattia oblast
This week, the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center provided IDPs registered in Uzhgorod with 20 packages with necessary things for children under 2 years old and 50 bags with grocery sets and 80 loaves of bread. During the week, volunteers gave out clothes, shoes, bed linen and dishes (1,800 items) from the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help e.V., Spletinnia Kosice, Valentyn Stefano and other benefactors.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that in Uhornyk, memorial boards were opened for fallen defenders Taras Ivanyshyn, Volodymyr Pylypiv, Dmytro Rymchuk, Yurii Slushny, Bohdan Kvasniuk, Volodymyr Tretiak, Oleksandr Talimonov, Vasyl Stefanyshyn and Ruslan Khmuliak.
Lviv oblast
In Kamyanka-Buzka community, during the festival of spiritual songs, UAH 6,550 were raised. Also, Skhidnytska community sent a Power Station PR-LI500 charging station, 2 kW, 3 kW, 5 kW portable Inverter Generator G200, 2 Starlink satellite modems, an EcoFlow Max charging station, and Lenovo Tab M11 tablets with Tab Pen to the Mortar Platoon of the Infantry Battalion.
15 Defenders from Drohobych region were awarded high state awards (posthumously). Lieutenant Oleh Shturipit was awarded with the III degree Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky. 98 soldiers were posthumously awarded wity the Honorary Citizen of Drohobych Region title.
The memory of the fallen Defenders was immortalized in Lviv oblast. Alleys of memory were opened in the villages of Zubiv Most and Sokil, Kamianka-Buzka community. Relatives of the fallen, representatives of the authorities, clergy and the public came to honor the defenders.
Rivne oblast
21 children from Rivne oblast went to recover to the International Children’s Center Artek, located near Kyiv, in Pushcha Vodytsia. This is the 5th such group this year. All of them are from families of combatants, missing and deceased, from low-income families, from among orphans, children deprived of parental care.
Ternopil oblast
13 soldiers will be allocated UAH 15,000 each for medical treatment and health restoration. In 2025, 249 defenders have already received this assistance.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The 2nd (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian children’s and youth military-patriotic game Sokil (Jura-2025) for the older age category has started in Khmelnytskyi oblast. Participants live, compete and study at the Podilsko-Volynska Sich camp near the village of Lysohirka.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA reported that by decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, soldier Serhii Manzhos was awarded with the III degree Order of Courage (posthumously).
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
The Dutch special services have collected evidence of russia’s large-scale use of banned chemical weapons in the war against Ukraine. According to Ruben Brekelmans, Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, the russian federation is increasing its use of chemical weapons, and therefore called for the imposition of tougher sanctions against moscow.
