On 22 June, there were 69 combat clashes on the frontline
The enemy from the territory of the Russian Federation launched artillery attacks on the vicinity of the settlements of Liskivshchyna, Ulanov, Myropilske in Sumy oblast; Zarechia in Chernihiv oblast; Lemishchyne in Kharkiv oblast.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, Ukrainian soldiers repelled nine attacks by the invaders, and another battle is ongoing. The enemy also launched three airstrikes, using five guided aerial bombs, and carried out 155 attacks, six of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces six times in the vicinity of the settlements of Vovchansk, Stroivka and Fiholivka, two combat clashes are currently ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy tried to advance to Ukrainian positions three times in the vicinity of Stepova Novoselivka, Zelenyi Hay and near Holubivka. The defense forces successfully repelled the enemy attacks.
Towards Lyman, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 offensive actions of the invading army in the areas of the settlements of Novyi Mir, Karpivka, Ridkodub and Kolodiazi.
Towards Siversk, Ukrainian defenders stopped two enemy attacks in the vicinity of Hryhorivka and Ivano-Darivka.
Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces four times in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne and Bila Hora. One clash is still ongoing.
Towards Toretsk, the invaders advanced ten times on the positions of Ukrainian units in the vicinity of Diliivka, Toretsk, Leonidivka, Rusynyi Yar and Yablunivka. Fighting continues in four locations.
Towards Pokrovsk, the enemy tried 20 times to advance to Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Myrne, Promin, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Muravka and Oleksiivka. Five clashes are still ongoing.
Towards Novopavlivka, the aggressor attacked three times in the vicinity of the settlements of Vesele and Vilne Pole, and carried out an airstrike on Myrne.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, says that there were 171 combat clashes. Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy tried in vain nine times to advance in the vicinity of the settlements of Vovchansk, Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Fiholivka and Lyptsi. Towards Kupiansk, there were five attacks. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the vicinity of Zahryzove and Holubivka.
According to the operational-strategic grouping of troops Khortytsia, in the village of Dvorichna, which is located towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian military personnel remain and fighting continues in the town and its surroundings.
Shelling
At about 17:00 on June 21, a russian UAV Molniya hit a courtyard between two five-story buildings in Staryi Saltiv, Chuhuiv region. An elderly man who was near the impact was injured and died in the ambulance.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, says that on June 21, 3 settlements in the oblast were subjected to enemy strikes. One person was killed as a result of the shelling. The enemy actively used various types of weapons in the oblast: 42 unguided aircraft missiles; 7 KAB; 1 FAB-500; 2 Shahed UAVs; 1 Molniya UAV; 3 fpv drones.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
– in Kharkiv region, a private house was damaged (the village of Kozacha Lopan);
– in Chuhuiv region, the windows of an apartment building and a car were damaged (the village of Staryi Saltiv).
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Khortytsia Special Unit reports that russian troops have intensified assaults towards Pokrovsk and Novopavlovka, trying to break through to the administrative borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are inflicting significant losses on the russian army, in particular, at least seven tanks were destroyed in a day.
Andrii Polukhin, a representative of the press service of the 24th King Danylo Motorized Rifle Brigade, informs that russian units are trying to gain a foothold among the ruins of the city of Chasiv Yar and conduct assault operations, actively using FPV drones and artillery. According to him, nothing remains of the residential buildings of Chasiv Yar, but Ukrainian defenders hold all the surrounding areas.
Shelling
The RMA reports that in Kramatorsk on June 21, the enemy hit a residential building and an industrial zone. A russian missile destroyed part of a 4-story residential building. During rescue operations, the bodies of two deceased were unblocked from under its rubble. According to preliminary data, three more people may remain under the rubble.
According to Oleksandr Honcharenko, Head of Kramatorsk RMA, 4 people are in the hospital with injuries, one of whom is in serious condition.


A 17-year-old boy was killed and three people were injured in a russian strike in Sloviansk (the mother of the killed boy and two men). Four russian GABs hit the city on the evening of June 21. According to the State Emergency Service, four apartment buildings and more than three private houses, a dormitory, a hospital, a confectionery shop, three civilian cars were damaged, a private house and a production building were on fire. The city is currently clearing the rubble.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk RMA says that on June 21, the russian military killed two residents of Donetsk oblast – in Sloviansk and Kostiantynivka. Another 13 people were injured during the day. In total, russians shelled the settlements of the oblast 35 times during the day. 422 people were evacuated from the front line, including 57 children.
Operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of June 22:
Pokrovsk region: 2 people were injured in Pokrovsk; 2 cars were damaged in Rodynske; a house was destroyed in Zapovedne, Shakhivka community.
Kramatorsk region: a house and a gas pipeline were damaged in Lyman; 4 houses were damaged in Kaleniki; in Sloviansk 1 person was killed and 3 were injured, over 30 private houses, 4 apartment buildings, 2 administrative buildings and 4 cars were damaged; in Illinivka 1 person was injured, a house was damaged; in Kostiantynivka 1 person was killed and 2 were injured, 9 private houses, an apartment building, 2 gas pipelines and 2 cars were damaged; in Bilokuzminivka 1 person was injured, 6 houses were damaged.

Luhansk oblast
Oleksiі Kharchenko, Head of Luhansk RMA, reports that the enemy does not stop trying to advance near Hrekivka, Krasnorichensk community. There were 21 combat clashes towards Lyman.
In the occupied Khrustalne, russian propagandists plan to supplement the memorial complex “Mius-front” with a pylon with the image of Prince Igor. If the project is implemented, the updated memorial should have images of Prince Igor, a Soviet soldier and a Russian military man who came to Ukraine to kill, placed side by side. According to the head of Luhansk RMA Oleksii Kharchenko, the invaders are once again distorting history.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The Kyiv Zoo reported that since the beginning of the war, it has sheltered, treated, and rehabilitated about 600 animals and birds of various species. Among them are nearly 20 spurred tortoises, for which three separate enclosures were recently built. Each of these animals requires long-term rehabilitation and socialisation in conditions close to natural ones.
The local fire department of the Zolochiv community has added two modern fire trucks to its fleet, which were purchased and donated to Ukrainians by the people of Belgium. The keys to the vehicles were personally handed over to Zolochiv village head Oleksandr Lazarenko by Luc Jacobs, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Ukraine.
Mayor Oleksiy Momot announced that the municipal enterprise Vyshhorodteplomerezha will receive modern cogeneration equipment, which will significantly increase the efficiency of the enterprise and reduce energy consumption.
The head of the Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, announced that the first official regional championship in FPV drone racing took place in the Kyiv oblast. More than 70 pilots from different parts of Kyiv oblast took part in the competition, including military personnel, engineers, drone operators, veterans, athletes and young people. According to him, the tournament was a presentation of a new direction for Ukraine – military-technological sports.
On 21 June, a race from The Hague (Netherlands) in support of veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war finished in Kyiv. In three weeks, Dutch and Ukrainian runners covered 2,600 kilometres and raised almost €130,000 for the rehabilitation of Ukrainian military personnel.
Zhytomyr oblast
On 20 June, demolition began on Lyceum No. 25 in Zhytomyr, which was destroyed by a russian air strike in March 2022. The work is scheduled to be completed on 30 September 2025. According to Vyacheslav Glazunov, head of the capital construction department of the Zhytomyr City Council, the total cost of the demolition work is over 10 million hryvnias
Sumy oblast
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that in Sumy oblast, russian forces are advancing near the frontlines of Kindrativka, Andriivka, Yablunivka, and Yunakivka. The situation remains stable. In Kursk oblast, around 10,000 russian troops are currently engaged in combat. He stated that Ukrainian forces have recaptured Andriivka, and in Yunakivka, they advanced between 200 and 700 metres over the past week.
Oleh Hryhorov, Regional Governor informed that around 11pm. on 21 June, as a result of a russian attack on Sumy, private houses were damaged in Zarichchia region on the outskirts of the city.
From the morning of 21 June to the morning of 22 June, russian forces carried out over 90 attacks on 36 settlements across 16 territorial communities in Sumy oblast. Sumy and Shostka regions recorded the highest number of strikes. The enemy actively used multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) — nearly 20 strikes, over 20 VOG grenade drops from UAVs, and up to 10 guided aerial bomb (GAB) strikes. They also launched attacks using FPV-drones, other unmanned aerial vehicles, and conducted a missile strike on the oblast.
As a result of russian strikes over the past day in Sumy oblast, the following damage was reported:
- In Sumy community: non-residential buildings, a multi-storey residential building (with up to 20 windows shattered), and private residential houses;
- In Khotin community: a private house was damaged;
- In Bilopillia community: a private residential house and an outbuilding were damaged.
Over the past day, 27 people were evacuated by local authorities, in cooperation with State Emergency Service units, the National Police, and NGOs from border communities.
According to Regional Governor Oleh Hryhorov, in Sumy oblast, the deployment and improvement of a counter-drone system — targeting both strike and reconnaissance UAVs — is ongoing. Sumy Regional Military Administration, in coordination with military units, is working in a constant state of cooperation to adapt the defence system to emerging threats. Trained mobile teams are already operating, tasked with detecting, jamming, and shooting down drones.
Chernihiv oblast
Viacheslav Chaus, Chernihiv Regional Governor, reported that on the evening of 21 June, a civilian man was killed in Nizhyn region as a result of a russian drone attack. In the affected village, residential houses were damaged or destroyed, along with a utility building and a garage.
On the evening of 21 June, 14 explosions were recorded on the outskirts of Nizhyn, targeting the premises of a critical infrastructure enterprise. The strikes caused fires, which engulfed several buildings, including a sawmill and other facilities, according to Nizhyn Mayor Oleksandr Kodola. An additional explosion occurred in Nizhynske village, where a man born in 1958 was killed. Two residential houses were damaged there.

Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that throughout 21 June, russian forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast — Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (28 explosions) and barrel artillery strikes (5 explosions), launched FPV-drone attacks (46 explosions), dropped explosive devices from UAVs (over 44 explosions), and used remote mining. A total of 21 settlements came under enemy fire.
According to ‘North’ Operational Command, on 21 June, as a result of russian attacks in Chernihiv oblast, an FPV-drone strike damaged a private house in Mkhy village, part of Novhorod-Siverskyi community. Additionally, one private house was damaged in each of the villages of Liskivshchyna and Lubiane, located in Semenivska territorial community.
Chernihiv Regional Employment Centre announced that since the beginning of 2025, residents of 49 communities in Chernihiv oblast have joined publicly useful work. This includes unemployed individuals who were unable to find jobs in their field, as well as internally displaced persons. Over UAH 42m. from the Unemployment Insurance Fund has been allocated over six months to pay participants in ‘Recovery Army’.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the DOC, says that from evening until morning, attacks on the Nikopol region continued. The occupiers used drones and shelled the area with artillery.
They targeted the regional center, Marhanets and Myrove communities. 2 private houses, a religious institution, an outbuilding, a car and infrastructure were damaged.
About two and a half dozen attacks – the enemy again struck Nikopol region with drones and artillery. They targeted the regional center, Pokrovske, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Myrove communities. A fire broke out, a high-rise building, a gas station, a private house, a gas pipeline and infrastructure were damaged.
The enemy also attacked Mykolaivske community of Synelnykove region with a drone. A private house and an outbuilding were damaged.
Kirovohrad oblast
Two actions were held in Kropyvnytskyi, organized by relatives, friends and acquaintances of the fallen, captured and missing servicemen. Their goal is to remind society of the importance of honoring the fallen and returning home the captured and missing.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, reports that in Cherkasy oblast, the defense forces shot down 3 russian UAVs.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
According to the Regional Military Administration, a utility tower belonging to the PJSC Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo repair brigade was damaged as a result of a russian shelling. The russian forces attacked energy workers while they were carrying out emergency restoration work. There were no casualties reported.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on 21 June, on Orikhiv region, russian forces attempted 3 assaults on Ukrainian defensive positions in Novoandriivka and Kamianske. Also, russian aviation struck Stepnohirsk.
No active assault operations were recorded on Huliaipole region, though russian forces continue regrouping, reconnaissance and logistical activities.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 21 June, russian troops launched 425 strikes on 12 settlements across Zaporizhzhia oblast. These included 308 UAV attacks of various types (mostly FPV drones), targeting the settlements of Mahdalynivka, Lobkove, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka and Charivne.
As reported by the State Emergency Service, 3 wildfires were recorded this week as a result of russian shelling.
According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (HUR), a fuel train intended for russian forces was destroyed by a special forces unit of HUR on temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast.
Mykolaiv oblast
Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv RMA, said that 3 people, including 2 children, were injured in a russian missile strike on Ochakiv. The injured include a 7-year-old boy, a 12-year-old girl and a 46-year-old woman. All are receiving medical care and their conditions are reported as moderate.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that russian tactical aviation was active over southern Ukraine today.
Referring to Mykolaiv RMA, on 21 June, russian forces shelled Kutsurub community by artillery. Several buildings were damaged in Dmytrivka village, but no casualties were reported. Also, an FPV drone attack targeted the waters of Ochakiv community. There were no injuries reported.
Odesa oblast
The Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that during the night, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi region came under russian drone attack. Oleh Kiper, Head of the RMA, stated that as a result, a station of emergency medical services in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi was destroyed. The facility served around 65,000 residents. 7 emergency vehicles were taken out of service – 6 damaged and 1 ambulance destroyed by fire. Emergency medical services will now be provided by teams stationed at other permanent locations and routes have been adjusted accordingly.

Kherson oblast
The Ground Forces Command reported that russian forces launched a missile strike on a training ground of one of the mechanised brigades of Ground Forces of Ukraine where trainings were underway. As of 5:27pm, it was confirmed that 3 servicemen were killed and 11 wounded as a result of the strike. The injured are receiving medical assistance.
According to the SES of Kherson oblast, russian troops shelled Kherson, hitting a high-rise building. The strike ignited a fire in a third-floor apartment. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that in Dniprovskiy district of Kherson, a russian artillery strike killed a man and injured 3 women, 1 of whom is 85 years old. 1 of the injured suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the face and another is in critical condition.
The CMA informed that russian forces attacked Korabelnyi district of Kherson by a drone, injuring a 46-year-old man.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, stated that on 21 June, russian troops shelled 34 settlements in Kherson oblast, damaging a gas pipeline, territory of a national park, 5 high-rise buildings, 11 private houses and vehicles. 3 people were injured.
The RMA informed that a 73-year-old man was injured in Kizomys by a russian drone attack. He sustained a blast injury, traumatic brain injury, concussion and shrapnel wounds to the chest. He has been hospitalised.
Based on the information provided by the State Emergency Service, yesterday evening, an artillery strike in Kherson caused a fire on the roof of a municipal utility building. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

A charity concert and fair Thank you, soldier was held in the village of Sasiv, Zolochiv community, organized by the Warriors of Good CF. The event raised UAH 64,000 for Vasyl Luchka, resident of the community who serves in the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade named after Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky.

Rivne oblast
The RMA reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the region’s residential institutions have accepted 750 IDPs.
Ternopil oblast
In Ternopil, Yevhen and Khrystyna Loza, make prosthetic overlays for the military. This is protection, comfort and adaptation to a new life after injury. As part of the MED3DRUK project, the overlays are created using 3D scanning, modeling, and printing. They mask the technical elements of the prosthesis, protect it from damage and help veterans feel more confident in society.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Another animal was rescued from a dangerous war zone by UAnimals volunteers. This time, 3 injured cats and a dog were taken from Sumy oblast. They were taken to the Save Life shelter in Khmelnytskyi.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA reported that in 5 months of 2025, national resistance training has already covered almost 30 communities of Chernivtsi oblast, over 40 training events were held, in which over 730 Bukovyna residents participated, 330 of them underwent practical tactical and fire training at the training ground.
