On 13 April, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 82 times. It is most active towards Pokrovsk.

Towards Huliaipole, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks in the vicinity of Novopil and Pryvilne, Vilne Pole and Shevchenko, and five more clashes are still ongoing. At the same time, the enemy launched airstrikes on Novopil, Zelene Pole, Shevchenko, Chervone, Malynivka and Huliaipole.
Towards Orikhiv, the invaders are attacking in the vicinity of Stepove, Shcherbaky and Mali Shcherbaky. Currently, two enemy attacks were repelled, another one is ongoing.
Towards Kherson, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders once.
In the Siversk, the enemy did not conduct active offensive actions.
In Kursk oblast, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 13 attacks by the invaders, and another clash is ongoing. In addition, the enemy carried out 31 airstrikes, dropping 48 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 319 artillery attacks, including 14 from multiple launch rocket systems.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as a result of a russian missile strike on the center of Sumy, 34 people were killed, including 2 children. Another 117 people were injured to varying degrees, including 15 children.

The RMA reported that the day before, the enemy’s DRG activity was stopped twice towards Kharkov near Ridne (formerly Perovske) and Tykhe.
Towards Kupiansk, there were two attacks by the occupiers. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the vicinity of Zahryzove and Nova Kruhlyakivka.
Shelling
The RMA reported that an enemy Molniya UAV hit the territory of a kindergarten in the Kyiv district. The glazing of the building’s windows was damaged. Windows in nearby multi-story buildings were also broken.
Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office reported that at about 12:00, Kivsharivka, Kupiansk region, came under russian shelling: a 71-year-old man was wounded. He was taken to a medical facility. As a result of the attack, an apartment building was damaged. According to preliminary data, russians struck with an Urahan multiple launch rocket system.
The russian military struck with MLRS on Kupiansk at around 10:00. As a result of the shelling, structural elements of a garage with an area of 10m² caught fire. Two women died in the courtyard of a five-story building. According to preliminary data from the prosecutor’s office, the Russian army used Urahan MLRSs to attack the city.
At 06:30, russia dropped a GAB on a horse farm that was not working in the village of Turove, Zolochiv community, as its head Viktor Kovalenko reported. Damaged farm premises, a water tower and power grids.

At 20:41, russians attacked the village of Bratenytsia, Bohodukhiv region. Three guided aerial bombs (GABs) hit the ground near the settlement. Two of them detonated, one remained unexploded.
At 19:38, russians attacked the city of Kupiansk. As a result of the shelling, an apartment on the 9th floor of a nine-story residential building caught fire. The area of the fire was 70 square meters.
At 19:30, russians dropped three GABs on the outskirts of the village of Sosnivka and one GAB on the outskirts of the village of Karasivka, Bohodukhiv region.
At 18:40, russians attacked the city of Kupiansk. As a result of the strike, a residential building was destroyed. A 73-year-old woman, a 26-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, and a 52-year-old woman were injured. A 35-year-old man was rescued from the rubble and hospitalized.
At 18:20, russians attacked the village of Borova, Izium region. The GAB hit the ground, damaging a private house.
At 16:20, russians attacked the city of Izium. A private house was damaged when a Molniya drone hit the ground.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that towards Kramatorsk, the russian army almost quadrupled the number of attacks per day. russian troops stormed 11 times near Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne and west of Andriivka, the day before there were three attacks.
The Ukrainian military repelled the most assaults towards Pokrovsk, where the occupiers tried to advance 31 times, in particular, near Kalynove, Yelizavetivka, Uspenivka, Kotlyne, Troitske, Preobrazhenka, Novoukrainka and near Sribne.
Andrii Shapovalov, a serviceman of the 93rd Separate Brigade “Kholodny Yar”, informs that towards Kramatorsk, the russian army is increasing the intensity of assaults. The occupiers are attacking on the principle of the Wagner PMC.
Maksym Bilousov, Head of the communications department of the 60th Motorized Rifle Brigade, says that in the assaults near Lyman, the russian troops are using infantrymen who have been serving in the occupation army since March 2025. They arrived at the front a month after mobilization.
Dmytro Zaporozhets, Spokesman for Luhansk Military Administration, says that the russian army lost almost 7 thousand soldiers killed and wounded during the month of fighting towards Toretsk.
Shelling
On April 12, the police recorded 3,805 enemy strikes on the front line and residential sector. 11 settlements were under fire: the cities of Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Toretsk, the village of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, the villages of Illinivka, Myrne, Molocharka, Novoandreyevka, Oleksandro-Kalynove. 35 civilian objects were destroyed, including 24 residential buildings.
One person was killed in Pokrovsk.
The second person was killed in Lyman, which the occupiers covered with Smerch MLRS. 6 private houses and 2 civilian cars were damaged.
On Myrne, Volnovakha region, russian troops dropped a D-30SN UMPB bomb – an elderly woman was killed and 5 private houses were damaged.
russia hit Konstantinovka with KAB-250 bombs and drones – two residents were injured, 8 private houses, an educational institution, an infrastructure facility, a civilian car were damaged. The city was attacked again – there was damage in the residential sector.

An agent of the ATESH movement set fire to a russian tank in Donetsk oblast. After that, the position of the occupiers was also on fire, the movement’s page reported. The sabotage was carried out by an agent of the ATESH movement in the russian army.
Luhansk oblast
The RMA reported that towards Lyman, the enemy concentrated its main efforts and carried out assault operations in the areas of four settlements of Luhansk oblast. Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine successfully repelled attacks near the settlements of Nadiia, Hrekivka, Bilohorivka and Tverdokhlibove. In the specified area, the enemy used 301 unmanned aerial vehicles and opened fire from artillery 25 times.
At the same time, in the temporarily occupied settlements of the so-called “lpr”, a systematic delay in the payment of salaries to employees of municipal enterprises created by the occupation administration is recorded. This problem is especially acute in the territories captured in 2022. Despite promises to restore infrastructure and improve living conditions, residents are offered work with a minimum wage, which, however, is not paid on time. In particular, in the city of Svatovo, more than three million rubles of debt to employees of the local water utility have accumulated. Payments have not been made since last year.
In addition, in the city of Severodonetsk, due to tunprofessional actions of a contracting organization involved in the demonstrative restoration of the housing stock, a fire broke out in an apartment building. After the facility was connected to the power supply, a fire broke out in the entrance, as a result of which several apartments were damaged. Despite the lack of mobile communication and Internet access, numerous complaints are coming from the temporarily occupied settlements near the frontline about the unsatisfactory quality of repair work and the inaction of the occupation administration. It is expected that with the restoration of communication, the number of such appeals will increase significantly.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The Regional Military Administration reported that at night the enemy attacked Kyiv oblast with a UAVs. In Fastiv region, the roof of a hangar caught fire as a result of an enemy attack. The fire has been extinguished. There were no casualties among the population.
KCMA reported that on the night of 13 April, 30 enemy UAVs were spotted in the airspace of the capital and around Kyiv. 19 of them were destroyed by air defence systems. Over the past 24 hours, an air alert in Kyiv was announced three times and lasted 4 hours in total. Kyiv State Emergency Service reported that on 12 April, the liquidation of the consequences of the russian attack in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital was underway. At night, a fire broke out in the food and medicine warehouses as a result of a drone attack. The SES specialists were dismantling the damaged structures of the warehouse building and eliminating the smouldering areas. The fire was extinguished.

KCMA reported that last year, in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, 166 objects of the civil defence fund were completed and prepared for use. Work is planned and ongoing to bring another 28 facilities into service by 2025, the construction of 3 dual-purpose facilities on the territory of preschools is underway.
A training session was held in Kyiv for representatives of lyceums of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from all regions of Ukraine. The improvement of the internal system of quality assurance in the MIA’s security and national-patriotic education lyceums was the topic of the meeting.
A race in memory of the fallen defenders ‘Running for a Hero’ was held in Irpin. The event was organised as part of the International Marathon of Heroes. It is open to anyone in Ukraine and other countries. The event organisers said the race started on 12 April in Sydney and will end on 14 April in Los Angeles.
Zhytomyr oblast
The next phase of the SME Support School project is starting in Zhytomyr, where participants will receive free skills to run and improve their own businesses. In particular, the project aims to help integrate IDPs into the economic life of the community. Participants will be taught sales, project management, marketing, and business tool management.
Kyiv branch of the Forests of Ukraine State Enterprise reported that 4 additional recreational areas will be set up in the forests of Zhytomyr oblast in the spring and summer season of 2025 to ensure safe outdoor recreation. Their services will be free of charge for everyone. These locations are safe – the territory has been checked for mines and the remains of downed drones. The recreational areas will also prevent forest fires. They are convenient and comfortable thanks to their gazebos, barbecue areas and playgrounds.
On 12 April, a solemn procession was held in Zhytomyr to mark the 113th anniversary of the founding of the National Scout Organisation of Ukraine, Plast. This is the largest scouting organisation in Ukraine, which aims to promote comprehensive, patriotic education and self-education of Ukrainian youth, forming responsible citizens of society.
Sumy oblast
In the morning of 13 April, the enemy attacked Sumy by missiles, resulting in two explosions in the city. According to the State Emergency Service, as of 6pm, 34 people were reported dead, including two children. A total of 117 people were injured, among them 15 children. The russian strikes targeted the city centre on Palm Sunday, near a church where a blessing ceremony was taking place and many civilians were present.
The Regional Military Administration reported that as a result of the russian strike, university premises were damaged, and windows and doors in surrounding residential buildings were affected. All services, law enforcement agencies, and experts continue to work on-site. The rubble has been inspected—no people were found beneath it.


Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, informed that the criminal strike on Sumy by two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles was carried out by russian crews of the 112th and 448th missile brigades from the territory of voronezh (lisky) and kursk (lezhenky) oblasts of the aggressor state.
Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that the enemy used cluster munitions in missile strikes on the city centre. The missile exploded in the air, resulting in numerous civilian casualties and injuries. He stated that the majority of victims were passengers on a trolleybus, with almost all of them perishing.


According to the medical institution, Kharkiv Regional Blood Service Centre will provide Sumy with donated blood following the missile strike on the city on 13 April.
As a result of enemy FPV-drone strikes on Seredyna-Buda community on 13 April, a private residential house was damaged.
The Regional Military Administration reported that during the night and morning, russian forces carried out 70 shelling attacks of border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast. A total of 200 explosions were recorded. Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Nova Slobidka, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna-Buda communities came under fire.
During the night of 13 April, Ukrainian air defence forces shot down 4 enemy Shahed-type UAVs over Sumy oblast.
The North Operational Command informed that as a result of russian shelling on 12 April, three civilians were injured in Krasnopillia. Additionally, an agricultural enterprise and a vehicle were damaged. In Dmytrivka, Velyka Pysarivka community, a private house was damaged. In Dubovychi, Krolevets community, a private house and outbuildings sustained damage.
According to the city council, in the evening of 12 April, a russian drone attacked Stetskivka starosta region. Preliminary information indicates that the strike damaged windows in residential buildings and outbuildings in at least three homesteads. No injuries have been reported.
Sumy Police informed that as a result of guided aerial bomb strikes on Krasnopillia village on 12 April, a 58-year-old local resident was injured. Police promptly evacuated the victim from under fire and handed him over to medical workers for necessary assistance.
On 12 April, a russian drone strike hit a civilian vehicle. As a result of the attack, two men, aged 49 and 39, were injured. First aid was provided to the victims, and they were transported to a medical facility.
Sumy Regional Clinical Hospital stated that on 11 April, a woman in Myropillia was injured by a strike from russian forces. She was taken to the surgical department of the regional hospital with leg and chest injuries.
Prince Harry was given an Easter cake baked by women in Sumy oblast using flour from the crop at demined fields. The Duke of Sussex visited Ukraine for the first time since the full-scale russian invasion. The Easter basket was decorated with traditional Ukrainian painted eggs made by the mother of paramedic Iryna Tsybukh, who tragically lost her life last year in Kharkiv oblast when her vehicle hit a russian mine.
Chernihiv oblast
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that on 13 April, russian forces attacked a hospital in the border town of Semenivka using strike drones. As a result of the attack, a nurse from the city hospital was injured. The hospital’s intensive care and dental departments were damaged.
Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that on 12 April, russian forces targeted three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar strikes (2 explosions), FPV-drone strikes (7 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (27 explosions). Seven villages came under enemy fire.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, said that yesterday evening and this morning the enemy attacked Nikopol oblast. They targeted the region centre, Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities. A multi-storey building and infrastructure were damaged.
During the day, the occupiers sent more than three dozen kamikaze drones across Nikopol region. In the evening, they shelled the area several times with artillery. They targeted the region centre, Pokrovske, Myrove and Marhanets communities. Administrative buildings, a truck, 4 private houses and an outbuilding were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
In the week from 7 to 13 April 2025, 32 defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were reported killed.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that a 42-year-old man was injured as a result of russian artillery shelling in Bilenke village.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 12 April, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled a russian attack in Orikhiv region, near Mali Shcherbaky village. No offensive actions by russian troops were recorded in Huliaipole region, although Huliaipole was attacked by an unguided aerial mission.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 12 April, russian forces carried out 511 attacks on 11 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. This included 355 strikes by various types of drones targeting Prymorske, Kamianske, Stepove, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne and Novodarivka.
The State Emergency Service of the oblast reported that sappers of the SES destroyed 2 warheads of unmanned aerial vehicles, drone debris and a submunition from a Smerch MLRS discovered in settlements across Zaporizhzhia.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to the RMA, during the night of 13 April, Ukrainian air defence forces in Mykolaiv oblast destroyed 2 Shahed drones.
On 12 April, russian forces carried out 2 FPV drone attacks on Kutsurub community. There were no casualties reported.
Odesa oblast
According to the Air Command South, last night, air defence forces in southern Ukraine shot down 5 drones, including Shaheds and other types of UAVs.
The Air Force reported that in the Black Sea near Odesa oblast, reconnaissance drone activity was observed during the day. Attempts were made to shoot them down.
Kherson oblast
According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, russian forces attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson by a drone. A 53-year-old man sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his leg.
A 58-year-old resident was wounded in another russian drone strike in Kherson. Medical aid was provided, but the man refused hospitalization.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, informed that a 68-year-old woman was severely wounded by a russian drone strike in Kherson during the day. She later died at the hospital.
Referring to the SES, a russian strike caused a fire in an apartment in a high-rise building in Kherson. Emergency services extinguished the blaze and prevented it from spreading. There were no casualties reported.
Roman Mrochko, Head of the CMA, said that a 48-year-old man who had earlier been injured in a drone attack in Kherson died at the hospital.
In Dniprovskyi district of Kherson, a man was injured in a russian UAV attack and hospitalised by police officers.
A woman sustained multiple shrapnel wounds to her legs when a russian drone dropped explosives in Dniprovskyi district. Her condition is critical.
A children’s medical facility in Kherson was damaged by russian shelling. During the attack, staff, children and parents were in a shelter. There were no casualties reported.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, confirmed that a 62-year-old woman was killed in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson as a result of russian artillery shelling.
According to the RMA, at approximately 12:30pm, russian forces shelled Tsentralnyi district of Kherson. A 47-year-old man was injured, suffering a blast injury and a leg wound.
Roman Mrochko, Head of the CMA, said that around 11am, russian forces attacked Dniprovskyi district by a drone. A 48-year-old man sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds. He was hospitalised.
According to the Air Force, russian forces launched 55 strike drones across Ukraine. Air defence destroyed 43 drones, while 12 UAVs were lost due to signal interference.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, stated that on 12 April, 3 people were killed and 7 injured in Kherson oblast due to russian attacks. The russian military shelled 31 settlements. Damage was recorded to an apartment building, 11 private houses and a vehicle.
According to the RMA, a resident of Mykilske village sought medical assistance after being injured in a russian drone attack the previous day. The 54-year-old woman was diagnosed with a blast injury and leg wounds.

Volyn oblast
In the city of Rozhyshche, the Banderivtsi children’s volunteer group came out to sing in the city center to raise funds for reinforcement for the brackets that the defenders use to build fortifications. Serviceman Anatolii Lovin, soldier of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade, from Varash region was awarded with the For the Defense of Ukraine Order of the President of Ukraine. 51-year-old Anatolii was called up for service in May 2023.

Ternopil City Council reported that in 2024, 295 military personnel from the community received assistance for treatment and rehabilitation in the amount of UAH 15,000 each.
