The enemy continues its attempts to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory, but the defense forces are holding back the invaders, inflicting significant losses. Today, the number of enemy attacks has reached 85.
Border areas of Ukraine remain under Russian artillery fire. Several settlements have suffered from attacks by the terrorist army, including Uhly in the Chernihiv region; Studenok and Ulanove in the Sumy region; and Tymofiivka in the Kharkiv region.
- Kharkiv direction: One ongoing battle is taking place near Lyptsi.
- Kupiansk direction: The enemy launched two attacks on Ukrainian positions with air support. Ukrainian defenders repelled assaults near Petropavlivka and Nova Kruhliakivka.
- Lyman direction: Russian forces attacked near Kopanky, Nevske, Yampilivka, Zelena Dolyna, Terny, and Kolodiazi. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian troops have repelled seven attacks, while two battles are still ongoing.
- Siversk direction: The enemy attempted seven advances against Ukrainian positions near Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske; four battles are still underway.

- Pokrovsk direction: Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have attempted 40 assaults to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Malynivka, Yelizavetivka, Vodyane Druhe, Novotoretske, Promin, Pokrovsk, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Udachne, Yasenove, Shevchenko, and Dachne. Ukrainian forces have already repelled 33 enemy attacks, inflicting heavy losses on Russian troops.
- Novopavlivka direction: The occupiers launched an attack on Ukrainian positions near Konstantynopol. Rozlyv and Komar suffered airstrikes from guided aerial bombs.

As a result of a Russian attack on a residential building in the city of Sumy, eight people were killed, according to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office. Twelve others were injured, including a child.
Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has approved a document outlining its position on peace in Ukraine. According to a European Pravda correspondent from Strasbourg, the adopted resolution calls for unwavering European commitments and unity in support of Ukraine and a just and lasting peace.

Kharkiv oblast
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched ten attacks. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assaults near Petropavlivka, Novoosynove, Kolisnykivka, Zahrizove, and Lozova.
In the Kharkiv direction, no enemy offensive actions took place yesterday.
On the morning of January 30, a Russian UAV attacked the Kholodnohirskiy district of Kharkiv, as reported by the city’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov. The strike hit a private residential area, damaging the roofs of three houses and 15 windows. Preliminary reports suggest that the attack was carried out using a “Molniya” type UAV.
Around 13:15, the village of Prystin, part of the Kupiansk community, came under enemy fire from Grad multiple rocket launchers, according to the regional military administration. As a result of the attack, two people experienced acute stress reactions. A school, library, private house with outbuildings, and 16 apartments in a multi-apartment building were damaged.
Yesterday, in the Kharkiv region, as a result of Russian attacks, three people were injured, and a private house and power line were damaged, reported the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov.
In Kupiansk, near the city entrance sign, an FPV drone hit near an ambulance vehicle, injuring three emergency medical workers: a 43-year-old driver, a 26-year-old doctor, and a 41-year-old paramedic. Earlier, an FPV drone strike in Kupiansk damaged a private house.
In the village of Cherkaski Tyshky, Kharkiv district, an Iranian-made Shahed-2 UAV crash-landed, damaging power lines.
In a garden society near the village of Cherkaski Tyshky, Kharkiv district, a Russian drone strike on January 29 damaged a transformer substation and a high-voltage power line, reported the State Emergency Service.
In the Starosaltivska community, an unexploded FAB-500 aerial bomb was discovered. According to the Kharkiv Regional Department of Emergency Services, the difficulty of disarming it lay in the presence of a fuse, which meant the bomb could explode at any moment.
As a result of increased evacuation measures from the Kupiansk and Borivsk directions, 37 people were evacuated.
The Prosecutor’s Office and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have identified five Russian military commanders suspected of organizing the attack on a store in Saltivka. According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the airstrike on the Epicenter hypermarket in Kharkiv took place on May 25, 2024, resulting in 19 casualties. The SBU has named the following suspects: Russian military personnel Yuriy Podopletov, Valeriy Solodchuk, Oleksandr Lapin, Oleksiy Loboda, and Oleg Makovetsky.
Donetsk oblast
On January 30, five people were injured as a result of Russian strikes on Bilytske and Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, according to the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
In the evening, Russian forces dropped a 500-kilogram guided bomb on Bilytske, injuring two women and damaging four two-story buildings and an administrative building.
In Pokrovsk, Russian military forces used an FPV drone to strike, injuring three people and damaging a car. In the village of Rodynske in the Pokrovsk district, four houses were damaged.
During the day, Russian troops shelled Kramatorsk, causing injuries to 13 people, including an 8-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl. The attack primarily targeted civilian infrastructure, with significant damage to historical buildings.
On January 30, Russian forces also shelled Chasiv Yar, Kostyantynivka, and Komar. In Ivanopillya, one person was killed, and seven houses were damaged. In Chasiv Yar, one person was injured. In Kostyantynivka, three private houses were damaged, while in Bilokuzminivka, six houses were damaged, and in Komar, seven houses were completely destroyed, with 18 others damaged, as reported by Vadym Filashkin.
In the morning, Russian forces repeatedly shelled the villages of Ivanopil and Bilokuzminivka, part of the Kostyantynivka community. As a result, private houses of local residents were damaged. Additionally, Russia launched two airstrikes on the outskirts of Kostyantynivka, reported the head of the Municipal Defense Administration, Serhiy Horbunov.

As a result of Russian shelling in Donetsk region on January 29, one person was killed and four others were injured, reported the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
Pokrovsk district: Two people were injured in Pokrovsk, a house and a café were damaged. In Rodynske, four houses were damaged. In Bilitske of the Dobropillia community, two people were injured.
Kramatorsk district: In Lyman, seven private houses and five outbuildings were damaged. In Illinivka, three objects were damaged. In Kostiantynivka, 12 high-rise buildings, a private house, an administrative building, eight garages, and a car were damaged.
Bakhmut district: In Siversk, one person was killed, and five houses were damaged.
Overall, on that day, Russian forces shelled 16 settlements in Donetsk region. A total of 232 people, including five children, were evacuated from the front line.
According to the police, Russian troops launched 2,460 strikes on the front line and residential areas of Donetsk region on January 29. The Russian army attacked Bilitske, Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Siversk, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, and Oleksandrivka. 69 civilian objects were damaged, including 40 residential houses.

Since the beginning of 2025, approximately fifty civilians, injured due to Russian shelling, have been admitted to the Intensive Care Hospital in Dobropillia. Most of them are residents of Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Bilytske, and nearby villages, reported the director of Dobropillia Intensive Care Hospital, Vadym Babkov. According to him, the injured civilians are being treated for fractures, contusions, penetrating wounds, and serious injuries, with severely ill patients being transferred to the city of Dnipro.
In the towns of Donetsk region, which are considered active combat zones, about 45,000 people remain, including 220 children, according to the Regional Military Administration. Evacuation efforts are ongoing.
In the past week, 66 children from 49 families have been evacuated from the towns of Donetsk region included in the list for mandatory evacuation of children. In 14 towns, 90 children remain in 65 families, as reported by the child protection service.
In Pokrovsk community, more than 9,400 people remain, with 6,996 in Pokrovsk. The evacuation process has worsened due to the security situation, reported the head of Pokrovsk Military Administration, Serhiy Dobriak. According to him, the city’s hospital, market, pharmacy, stores are operational, municipal services are collecting garbage, and the water utility is distributing water.
The frontline has moved closer to Kostiantynivka, reported the head of the city military administration, Serhiy Horbunov. He stated that around 17,000 people remain in Kostiantynivka, with 1,100 people in the surrounding villages. The city still has gas and electricity supply. However, some parts of the city are without water due to the destruction of one of the water pipelines by the enemy.

Luhansk oblast
On the Lyman front, Russian forces attacked 26 times. In particular, in the Luhansk region, they attempted to storm the settlements of Makiyivka, Novolyubivka, and Novoyehorivka. All of the enemy’s attempts were repelled by Ukrainian defenders. The enemy launched 177 drones at Ukrainian fortifications and fired artillery shells 11 times. This was reported by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysogor.
At eight “state industrial enterprises” in the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” (LNR), wage arrears have accumulated from October 2015 to December 2024. Those who have remained employed, as well as those who were dismissed during this period, have been awaiting payment for more than nine years, according to the head of the regional administration, Artem Lysogor. These enterprises are state-owned in the “LNR.”

Kyiv oblast
Ruslan Kandybor, Director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration, reported that on the night of Wednesday, 29 January, the russian military attacked Kyiv with drones filled with shrapnel (small fragments). According to him, the wreckage of the drone fell on the subway tracks, and the security room was damaged. The accident location is littered with small metal fragments. If people had not been in safe places during the alert, there would have been many casualties and injuries.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko announced that amendments to the Kyiv budget in 2025 will provide for the allocation of more than UAH 5 billion to support the defence and security forces. Of this amount, UAH 4.9 billion will be allocated for the Kyiv Defender programme, over UAH 93 million for social protection of female and male veterans, and UAH 10 million for a subvention from the capital to the state budget to support defence measures.
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration and HD Hyundai XiteSolution signed a memorandum of cooperation to rebuild the destroyed infrastructure of oblast. Creation of a modern training centre equipped with innovative technology will be one of the key areas of cooperation.
The State Film Agency of Ukraine reported that on Sunday, 2 February, at 17:00, the Oscar cinema in Kyiv will host a memorial evening for theatre and film actor Yakov Tkachenko, who died at the battlefield. For over 20 years, Yakiv Tkachenko performed in theatre and acted in films. During the full-scale invasion, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The actor was wounded twice in the battles in the Donetsk sector.
The National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy is implementing a project on energy independence. Thanks to its partners, it plans to ensure energy independence for 75% of its buildings by the end of spring. The campus will also be powered, which will allow four buildings and the University’s Cultural and Artistic Centre to be fully supplied with electricity during the prolonged blackout.
Zhytomyr oblast
Vitaliy Bunechko, head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that on 30 January, as a result of the fall of fragments of a russian army UAV, 6 private houses in two settlements of Zhytomyr oblast were damaged. There were no casualties or injuries.
As of 22 January, positive decisions have been made in Zhytomyr oblast under the government’s eRestoration programme to pay compensation for housing damaged and destroyed as a result of hostilities, totalling over UAH 26.6 million. Residents of Zhytomyr oblast can also submit applications to the International Register of Damages for Ukraine.
The members of the Zhytomyr Regional Council decided to merge the regional medical consultative and diagnostic centre with the Herbachevsky Regional Clinical Hospital and plan to set up a rehabilitation unit on its basis.
Sumy oblast
The Regional Military Administration reported that on 30 January, as a result of a russian ‘Shahed’ drone hitting a multi-storey residential building in Sumy, 6 people were killed and 9 were injured. Rescue operations are ongoing.
Sumy Prosecutor’s Office informed that three couples were killed as a result of a russian attack on a multi-storey building in Sumy. Among the injured are four men, four women, and an 8-year-old child. Denis Zhurba, a graduate of School No. 17, is in critical condition in the hospital.
In the multi-storey building hit by a russian drone, 5 apartments on four floors were destroyed, 12 balconies were damaged, and the glazing of over 80 windows and balconies was broken. More than 20 cars were also damaged. The consequences of the destruction are being clarified. A mobile resilience point of the State Emergency Service has been deployed at the scene (85 people have been assisted).
In Sumy, January 30-31 have been declared days of mourning for those killed as a result of the russian drone strike on the multi-storey building.


The RMA reported that as a result of the shelling of Yunakivka community by GABs (3 explosions), three private houses were damaged.
During night and morning, russians carried out 24 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 25 explosions. The attacks targeted Sumy, Bezdryk, Yunakivka, Khotin, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, and Seredyna-Buda communities.
On 29 January, russians carried out 106 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 131 explosions. The attacks targeted 10 border communities: Khotin, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorod.
In Shostka region, the russian army struck a location where rescuers were extinguishing a fire caused by a russian attack. The regional prosecutor’s office reported that a car driver delivering milk was injured.
As a result of the drone strike, a farm building in Krolevets community was damaged, and cows were killed and injured.
In Hlukhiv community, a civilian was injured, and two cars were damaged as a result of FPV-drone strikes.
Since the beginning of the year, russian forces have carried out over 600 attacks using FPV-drones and UAVs, as well as 147 GAB launches in Sumy oblast. Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artiukh reported that the number of shellings has doubled compared to January 2024. The enemy is massively using FPV-drones against people. The russian military forces are destroying infrastructure, housing, vehicles, and civilian equipment.
Sumy City Council informed that foreign partners have provided Sumy communities with equipment for processing debris left after enemy destruction. The assistance was provided by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Two excavators and a front loader have already been delivered.
Chernihiv oblast
The Department of Civil Protection and Defence Work reported that as a result of the explosion of a russian ‘Shahed’ drone on the outskirts of Chernihiv on the evening of 29 January, one country house was destroyed and nine were damaged. According to Chernihiv Military-Civil Administration, the explosion caused a fire in two non-residential buildings. There were no casualties among the population.
The Operational Command ‘North’ informed that in Bakhmach, Nizhyn region, on 29 January, a private house was damaged as a result of a drone explosion.
Throughout 29 January, russian military forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Horodnia, Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, they fired mortars, artillery, dropped explosives from UAVs, and used FPV-drones. Explosions were heard in the direction of 11 border villages.
State Emergency Service of Chernihiv reported that in Chernihiv oblast, sappers removed a warhead discovered in Koriukivka region forest. The ammunition was transported by a pyrotechnic vehicle to a specially prepared site where it was destroyed following all safety regulations.
In Chernihiv, a construction waste recycling station has started operating. It was handed over within the framework of the UN Development Programme in Ukraine (UNDP) with the support of international donors. Currently, using the station, municipal workers are crushing large remnants of concrete walls, poles, curbs, and asphalt, which were brought to the landfill after the destruction caused by the war. The crushed construction waste is now being used to reinforce roads at the landfill.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, reported that at night, russian forces shelled Myrove community in Nikopol region by artillery. Updated information confirms that yesterday’s attack on Synelnykove region caused a fire. The blaze destroyed a two-story school building and damaged a cultural centre, a post office, a religious institution, an administrative building, a store, 22 private houses, an enterprise and a power line.
The russian forces again attacked 2 regions in the oblast. Nikopol and Synelnykove regions were under enemy attack. Nikopol was hit about 20 times throughout the day by artillery and kamikaze drones, targeting the regional centre, Marhanets, Myrove and Chervonohryhorivka communities. A 37-year-old man was injured and received medical assistance. Damage was reported to 6 private homes, 3 farm buildings, a garage, a car, a gas station, a minibus, an industrial and agricultural enterprise, power lines and a gas pipeline. In Synelnykove region, 7 private houses and a power line were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
According to Vinnytsia City Council, a large humanitarian aid arrived in Vinnytsia from Nancy, France – 2 trucks filled with various supplies. French partners provided medical equipment for ophthalmology, medications, medical supplies, children’s beds, wheelchairs and other essential items for local hospitals.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, informed that during the night, Ukrainian defenders shot down a russian Shahed drone over Kirovohrad oblast.
Poltava oblast
Poltava RMA stated that russian forces attacked Poltava oblast. A Geran-2 drone crash destroyed a stable.
Also, the regional humanitarian headquarters, with support from UNICEF and Poltava Regional Organization of Red Cross Society of Ukraine, provided 48 generators and charging stations to social service institutions and child welfare services in the oblast.
Cherkasy oblast

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that on 29 January, russian forces carried out 401 attacks on 9 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 190 drone attacks of various types attacked Zaporizhzhia, Kamianske, Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novodarivka and Charivne.
Referring to the CMA, in Berdiansk, russian forces organised so-called “educational events” for schoolchildren and students, aimed at fostering loyalty to the occupying authorities.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to Mykolaiv RMA, on the night of 30 January, russian forces shelled the waters of Ochakiv community by artillery. There were no casualties reported.
On 29 January, russian forces attacked Kutsurub community 5 times by FPV drones. One of the strikes damaged a house in Solonchaky village. Also, Ochakiv city was attacked 3 times by drones.
Odesa oblast
Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa RMA, reported that russian forces attacked Izmail region by strike drones. One person was injured.
The attack damaged 5 apartment buildings, with around 15 houses suffering damage to roofs, windows and doors. Also, 2 educational institutions and a regional hospital sustained partial damage – windows were shattered and the hospital’s facade and ceiling damaged.

Kherson oblast
Based on the information provided by the Kherson RMA, around 6pm, russian forces shelled Krupytsia village in Kherson oblast. A 36-year-old man who was outside at the time was injured and hospitalised.
Roman Mrochko, Head of Kherson CMA, informed that at noon, a municipal worker was injured in a russian attack on Kherson. The 62-year-old man, who was at his workplace, suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the chest and abdomen. According to medics, his condition is critical.
The State Emergency Service reported that this morning, a massive shelling of Kherson’s suburb caused 3 fires. A house, ahttps://www.uavarta.org/wp-admin/profile.phpn outbuilding and open waste areas caught fire, but firefighters quickly extinguished them.
Roman Mrochko, Head of the RMA, said that russian forces dropped an explosive device from a drone on a 64-year-old man in Kherson. He sustained a blast injury. A 59-year-old man was hospitalised with shrapnel wounds to the abdomen, arms and legs.
The RMA reported that in the morning, russian forces attacked Beryslav by drones, injuring a 48-year-old man, who suffered a blast injury and leg wounds.
Also, Roman Mrochko said that russian forces struck Zelenivka, near Kherson, damaging numerous private houses.
Referring to the RMA, 2 women were injured in a morning russian attack in Kherson. One woman sustained a concussion, while the other suffered a blast injury and an arm amputation.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, stated that on 29 January, 3 people were killed and 10 injured due to russian shelling in Kherson oblast. The russian forces targeted social infrastructure and residential areas in 40 settlements. The attacks damaged 3 apartment buildings, 22 private houses, a gas pipeline, garages and a car.

Lviv oblast
Lviv City Council approved the Program for Eliminating the Consequences of the Emergency Situation in Lviv Urban Territorial Community Caused by the Armed Aggression of the russian Federation. The new program will be in effect until the end of martial law. The program also provides for the possibility of attracting extra-budgetary funds to the liquidation works – funds from investors and philanthropists. The program describes a step-by-step mechanism for how the buildings will be restored.
The Embassy of Israel in Ukraine sent 8 EcoFlow stations to people from Lviv oblast. These powerful power banks were received by families from Lviv, Sheptytskyi, Strii, Zolochiv and Drohobych regions. All of them are in difficult life circumstances.
Rivne oblast
The RMA held a meeting regarding the implementation of the Veteran Sports project. As part of the project, veterans can receive UAH 1,500 per quarter from the state for sports.
Rivne oblast is ready to accept orphans from Zaporizhzhia. Zaporizhzhia Specialized Children’s Home Sonechko is the only medical institution in the oblast for young children deprived of parental care and who find themselves in difficult life circumstances. Given the difficult situation in Zaporizhzhia, the children are currently in Lviv oblast.
Ternopil oblast
A memorial plaque in honor of defender 19-year-old Vitalii Matychak, serviceman of the Engineer Department of the Tank Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was unveiled in Ternopil. He was killed on 15 October 2022 while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Berestov, Bakhmut region, Donetsk oblast.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
At night, during an air alert signal, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 7 enemy Shahed UAVs. There were no damages, injuries or deaths.
The 36th mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency has begun work at KhNPP. Every day, IAEA experts monitor compliance with international safety standards and confirm that the operation of the power units meets all necessary requirements. In addition to monitoring, international experts provide valuable technical assistance and humanitarian support. Thanks to this, KhNPP has already received: radiation monitoring equipment, modern communication equipment, filtration systems, and medical equipment for the hospital.
Chernivtsi oblast
An important meeting was held in Chernivtsi at the office of the Center for Assistance to Survivors with the families of servicemen of the 82nd Separate Airborne Assault Brigade who have the status of missing persons. The purpose of the meeting was to inform families about the procedures and actions related to the search for missing persons, as well as to establish effective interaction between all parties involved.

Poul Jonsson, Swedish Defense Minister, announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth about $735.7m. The package will include 16 combat boats, 1,500 anti-tank missiles, 146 trucks and 200 anti-tank grenade launchers.
Andrii Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office, met with Martin Harris, British Ambassador to Ukraine. The discussion focused on the necessary steps to implement the bilateral agreement on a century-old partnership.
A unique mobile station for the rescue of library funds Archa 1 has arrived in Kyiv from leading cultural institutions of the Czech Republic. Archa 1 has equipment for cleaning documents from dirt, disinfection and restoration. So it will be used to preserve rare manuscripts, books and archival documents that were damaged during the war. Soon such a mobile station will be able to operate in different oblasts of Ukraine.
