Towards Novopavlivka, fighting continues near Kostiantynopil and Rozdolne. Four attacks by the occupation army were repelled.
Towards Huliaipole, two hostile attacks continue near Novopil and Novosilka. At the same time, the enemy carried out air strikes with unguided missiles on Novopil and dropped four unmanned aerial vehicles near Piatikhatky.
Towards Orikhiv, the enemy tried to advance towards Novodanylivka, but was repelled. The enemy carried out air strikes on the village of Kamianske with unguided missiles.
Towards Kherson, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack.
In Kursk oblast, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six invaders’ offensives, two of which are still ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched five airstrikes using six guided bombs and carried out 196 artillery attacks, including four from multiple launch rocket systems.
The press service of the Ministry of Justice and Minister of Digital Transformation reports that Ukraine has restored the comprehensive eBaby service. Parents of newborns can again submit applications through healthcare facilities, administrative service centres, civil registry offices, or the Diia service.
Berdiansk City Military Administration reports that residents of Zaporizhzhia oblast who have not received russian passports will be able to be deported without trial. These changes will come into force on 5 February.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
The General Staff informs that towards Kharkiv, russian occupiers stormed the lines of Ukrainian troops twice near Vovchansk.
Towards Kupiansk, russians attacked the Ukrainian Defence Forces once near Pishchane.
Towards Kharkiv, there was one firefight in the direction of Liptsi. The enemy also launched an air strike in the area of Kozacha Lopan.
The aggressor attacked our positions three times towards Kupiansk, near Petropavlivka, Zahryzove and Nova Kruhliakivka. The Defence Forces units stopped all the enemy attacks.
Shelling
The press service of the Kharkiv regional administration reported that a 46-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction as a result of Russian strikes on Kupiansk – the city was shelled at around 09:40. The russian attack caused a house to catch fire.
At 10:10, the enemy attacked the city of Kharkiv, Kholodnohirskyi district. As a result of the UAV’s downing, window glazing, the roof and fence of private houses were damaged. A 19-year-old man was injured – acute stress reaction.
At 21:45, the enemy attacked Izium district, Borova community, Borova village. A UAV hit damaged the glazing of an infrastructure facility and a car.
At 13:15, the enemy attacked Kupiansk region, Prystin village. The shelling damaged the building of an educational institution and a two-storey apartment building. A 75-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man were injured.
From 11:30 to 11:50, the outskirts of Kupiansk came under attack. A car was damaged as a result of shelling by a Molniya-1 UAV.
In total, since the beginning of this year, the enemy has fired 218 times at the territory of Kharkiv oblast. Most of the attacks were by drones – 60. The aggressor also used unmanned aerial vehicles almost 50 times.
In the first month of 2025, 472 infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed as a result of the occupiers’ actions. Among them are almost 300 multi-apartment and private buildings.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 21,600 strikes have been made against settlements in Kharkiv oblast using various types of weapons, damaging or destroying more than 75,000 infrastructure facilities.This includes more than 36,600 houses.

Donetsk oblast

The intensity of fighting towards Pokrovsk is comparable to attacks along the entire frontline, with 71 combat engagements recorded there over the past day.
Dmytro Zaporozhets, Spokesman for Luhansk military operation, says that Ukrainian troops have destroyed at least three russian army depots with fuel, ammunition and food that the occupants were supposed to use to storm Chasiv Yar in the last six days.
The General Staff said in a report that the day before, the russian army tried to break through Ukrainian defences near Siversk. ‘For the third day in a row, the occupants have been attacking the positions of the Defence Forces in this area of the frontline, in particular, russian troops stormed the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnekamianske nine times yesterday.
Ukrainian troops repelled most of the attacks near Pokrovsk. The russian army attempted to advance 71 times near Malynivka, Yelizavetivka, Vodiane Druhe, Novotoretske, Andriivka, Zvirove, Promin, Pokrovsk, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Udachne, Yasenove, Shevchenko and Dachne.
Another 13 assaults were carried out by the russian army in the urban area of Toretsk and near Diliivka, Shcherbynivka and Krymske.
Shelling
Serhii Horbunov, Head of the RMA, informs that in the morning, the russian army shelled Kostiantynivka, five hits were recorded in the town. The occupiers damaged a multi-storey building, an administrative building, a shop, bus stations, private houses, a car and power lines.
At dawn, russian troops shelled Novodmytrivka starostat and damaged a building.
Volodymyr Proskunin, Head of Mykolaivka military administration, says that the number of attacks has sharply increased. Over the past week, the occupiers dropped eight aerial bombs on Mykolaivka, Kramatorsk region. Residential buildings and social facilities are being destroyed. In total, 198 apartments in the city were damaged and 58 destroyed.
The day before, police recorded 3,784 enemy attacks on the frontline and residential areas. 14 settlements were under fire. 89 civilian objects were destroyed, including 83 residential buildings.

Other
The 63rd Brigade reported that in the north of Donetsk oblast, soldiers of the 63rd Brigade conducted an operation and retrieved a russian BMP-2 from the water, which the occupiers abandoned in 2022. The armoured vehicle had been in the reservoir for almost two years.

Mariupol RMA reports that in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, russians are selling one-bedroom apartments in new buildings with an area of 39 square metres for $76,000, and offer to take out a mortgage. At the same time, the occupiers are completing the programme of ‘compensation for destroyed housing’, having given out less than 5% of the housing that was destroyed during the occupation of Mariupol, according to their own data.
Luhansk oblast
The CMA said that the enemy sent 222 drones towards the fortifications of Ukrainian defenders in Luhansk oblast. He opened fire from artillery seven times. ‘The enemy attacked in the areas of Balka Zhuravka towards Lyman and Bilohorivka towards Siversk. russian attempts to force Ukrainian defenders out of their positions failed.
Despite their promises, the invaders have not organised regular supplies of technical or drinking water to Popasna, where about 250 people remain – 80 times fewer than before the full-scale invasion. russians destroyed the water supply system and other critical infrastructure in the once 20,000-strong town when they stormed it in 2022. They are not going to restore anything, because, according to the occupiers, it is inexpedient. No water delivery schedule has been drawn up yet. There is no electricity supply.
A site for training and passing the standards of the TRP sports complex, i.e., ‘ready for work and defence’, was opened in Aidar (formerly Novopskov). It is there that the occupation authorities of the region will test physical abilities of local residents. They will lure them with a tax rebate of 2,340 rubles per year. But to get it, you need to undergo a medical examination and pass up to 13 tests.

Kyiv oblast
The National Police of oblast reported that on 31 January, russian troops attacked Kyiv oblast with drones. As of 9:20am, a truck, a fence, and warehouses were damaged in one of the districts.
On Thursday, Kyiv paid tribute to a 19-year-old volunteer from Poland, Filip Antosiak, who was killed near Pokrovsk in Donetsk oblast. He served in the 25th separate airborne brigade in a drone strike unit. The coffin of the hero was covered with Ukrainian and Polish flags, and the Ukrainian and Polish anthems were played near it. The funeral ceremony was attended by the 19-year-old hero’s parents, representatives of the Polish Consulate in Kyiv and Polish organisations in Ukraine. Filip will be buried in the city of Łowicz, Lodz Voivodeship, in the centre of Poland.
The Mobile Rescue Centre of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that 76 mm artillery shells from the Second World War were found in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv during the cleaning of the Lybid River.
Yaroslav Dobriansky, Head of Kyiv City Council, announced that a modern prosthetic and orthopaedic centre will be created in Kyiv oblast. The International Red Cross will allocate 200,000 Swiss francs for equipment and materials for the centre.
International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi will arrive in Ukraine next week for a high-level meeting in Kyiv. The talks are expected to discuss the IAEA’s ongoing efforts to prevent a nuclear accident during a military conflict.
The ‘I’m Ukrainian’ mobile app for Ukrainians who were forced to go abroad due to the military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine was presented in Kyiv. It is a platform for informing and uniting Ukrainians abroad to help them preserve their identity. The mobile application was presented by the Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security in cooperation with the Ukrainian Society of Researchers.
Zhytomyr oblast
The National Police of oblast reported that law enforcement officers found the wreckage of a russian Geranium UAV in the forest near the village. Due to mechanical damage to the detonator, any movement of the explosive device was impossible. Therefore, explosive experts destroyed the munition on the spot by detonating it in a controlled explosion.
In Semenivka community, military basic training for school children continues. Thanks to the support of Berdychiv Training and Production Centre and the initiative of volunteers, high school students receive not only practical skills but also the opportunity to learn from those who have already gone through the frontline.
The Happy HOME integration coworking space for internally displaced people and students was opened at Zhytomyr Vocational Lyceum.
Sumy oblast
Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that emergency rescue operations in Sumy have been completed after the strike by the russian ‘Shahed’ on 30 January. As a result of the enemy strike, 9 people died and 13 sustained injuries of varying severity. For 19 hours, rescuers dismantled the debris, retrieving bodies from the ruins. The mobile resilience centre set up by the rescuers is operating round the clock.
The police have received 129 reports from local residents regarding the aftermath of the russian shelling of Sumy on 30 January. The process of documenting russia’s war crime — a direct strike on civilians — is ongoing. Two apartment buildings and over 20 cars were damaged.
On 30 January, around 10pm, the enemy struck Krasnopillia community using a ‘Shahed’ type UAV. The drone hit a private residential house, resulting in injuries to two people. They were taken to the hospital.
A civilian was also injured in Khotin community, where the enemy struck by an FPV-drone.
The RMA informed that during night and morning, russians carried out 3 shelling attacks, resulting in 13 explosions (2 hits from UAVs, 11 mortar attacks). The attacks targeted Khotin, Krasnopillia, and Shalyhyne communities.
During the night, air defence units over Sumy oblast shot down 5 enemy ‘Shahed’ type UAVs. Since the beginning of 2025, anti-aircraft gunners have already destroyed 257 russian drones.
Throughout the past day, 30 January, the russians carried out 51 shellings in Sumy oblast. A total of 68 explosions were recorded: 25 explosions from VOG drops from UAVs, 14 explosions by FPV-drone strikes, 26 mortar fire explosions, and 3 GAB launches. Ten border communities were shelled: Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Nova Slobidka, Esman, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna-Buda. As a result of the enemy strike on Khotin community, a car was damaged.
The Regional Military Administration reported that 21 defenders from Sumy oblast have been posthumously awarded state honours.
In Sumy oblast, 42 volunteers — members of the Territorial Defence Mobile Fire Groups — received monetary certificates for destroying aerial targets.
Chernihiv oblast
The city council reported that in the morning of 31 January, the russian army struck the outskirts of Chernihiv by a drone. As a result of the shelling, over 20 private houses were damaged.
The russian military struck the border area of Novhorod-Siverskyi region. A 59-year-old civilian man was caught in the mortar shelling, with his house being hit by the russians. The man was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.
According to the State Border Guard Service, throughout 30 January, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast.
Novhorod-Siverskyi community: VOG drops from UAVs and one strike from barrel artillery on Mykhalchyna Sloboda; 5 FPV-drone strikes, 3 VOG drops from UAVs, 2 strikes by unguided aerial rockets on Hremiach; VOG drop from UAV on Krasnyi Khutir.
Semenivka community: 5 strikes by MLRS, 8 strikes by FPV-drones, 4 mortar strikes, 2 VOG drops from UAVs, 4 strikes by unguided aerial rockets. As a result of the strike on Halahanivka by unguided aerial rockets, an administrative building was damaged. Enemy fire was also directed towards the settlements of Uhly, Zaliznyi Mist, Mkhy, Hremiachka, Yanzhulivka, and Leonivka.
Snovsk community: shelling of Hirske and Yeline by barrel artillery — 4 strikes, VOG drop from UAV and 2 mortar strikes in Khrinivka.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, informed that since the beginning of the year, the russian army has carried out 551 shelling attacks in Chernihiv oblast. Over one and a half thousand enemy shells have hit the area. As a result of the russian strikes, one civilian was killed and 17 injured.
Despite constant russian shelling, around 800 people continue to live in the 5-kilometre border zone in Chernihiv oblast. Another 15,500 residents remain in the 20-kilometre zone. According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, over 700 people, including 360 children, were evacuated from the border area in January.
In the oblast, the project ‘Shoulder to Shoulder: United Communities’ has been launched. Six frontier communities of Chernihiv oblast have partners from Kyiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy oblasts. They provide assistance in various areas: culture, sports, veteran policies, health improvement for children from border areas, and financial support.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that yesterday in the evening and at night, the enemy attacked Nikopol region with artillery. They targeted the region centre, Marhanets and Pokrov communities. A 58-year-old man and woman were injured. 11 private houses, an outbuilding, 2 cars and a gas pipeline were damaged.
The occupants attacked Nikopol and Synelnykove regions during the day. There were about two dozen artillery strikes, kamikaze drones, and ammunition drops from drones in Nikopol. The regional centre, Marhanets, Myrove and Chervonohryhorivka communities were targeted. A 47-year-old man was injured. Industrial facilities, trucks and a trailer were damaged. It was noisy again in Sinelnykivka district. Five private houses, a shop and a gas pipeline were hit there.
In Kamianske, three shelters in educational institutions were repaired. The shelters are barrier-free and can accommodate about two thousand schoolchildren at a time. The premises are also equipped with special lifts for people with disabilities.
Vinnytsia oblast
According to Vinnytsia City Council, a subvention of UAH 5 million has been allocated in Vinnytsia to rebuild the critical infrastructure facility in Balakliya. It is about assistance for the repair of the 4th floor of a municipally owned building, which will be used, in particular, for the comfortable stay of those who were forced to leave their homes due to war and destruction.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, reported that in Kirovohrad oblast, defenders destroyed a russian UAV at night.
Two specialists of the veterans’ support service have started working in Kropyvnytskyi. This is a government project implemented in communities with the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. These assistants advise on various issues: how to obtain status and social guarantees, undergo rehabilitation, get an education, find a job, and start a business.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, reported that at night, defenders shot down 6 russian UAVs in Cherkasy oblast. However, in the regional centre, the fragments of a Shahed damaged a balcony in one of the apartments of a high-rise building. Later, a fire broke out there. Law enforcement officers seized the wreckage of the UAV and a warhead.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Yesterday, the occupiers carried out 386 strikes on 13 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy launched an airstrike on Temyrivka. 217 UAVs of various modifications attacked Piatykhatky, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Bilohiria, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Luhivske, Malynivka, Olhivske, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodarivka. Six MLRS strikes targeted Tavriiske, Lobkove, Novoandriivka, and Mala Tokmachka. There were also 162 artillery strikes on the territories of Piatykhatky, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Bilohiria, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Luhivske, Malynivka, Olhivske, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodarivka. Twenty-one reports of damage to apartments, private homes, and infrastructure facilities were received.
As of 4:00 p.m. on 31 January, two enemy attacks are ongoing towards Huliaipole, targeting the settlements of Novopil and Novosilka. Meanwhile, the enemy carried out airstrikes with unguided bombs on Novopil and dropped four guided bombs near Piatykhatky. The enemy made one attempt to advance towards Novodanylivka but was repelled. The occupiers conducted airstrikes using unguided rockets on Kamianske. Yesterday,30 January 30, the Defense Forces repelled four russian attacks towards Huliapole.
Mykolaiv oblast
During the night of 31 January, air defence forces destroyed a Shahed 131/136 UAV over Mykolaiv oblast. As a result of the operation, debris fell in Bashtanka region, damaging windows, roofs, and fences of three private homes. Additionally, 25 households were left without electricity.
On 30 January, at 5:55 p.m., the enemy shelled Ochakiv community with mortars. The russians also carried out an artillery strike on Halytsynove community, damaging windows and doors of a utility building.
Communities in Mykolaiv oblast received five mobile clinics with the support of the German government. These units will restore and improve access to essential medical services for residents. The mobile team will provide the full range of services offered by a stationary Primary Health Care Center, including general consultations, diagnostics, treatment, laboratory services, ultrasound, vaccinations, maternal and child care, ophthalmology, ECG, and more.
Odesa oblast
During the night of 31 January, air defense forces shot down 16 UAVs over Odesa oblast. The russians attacked the city of Chornomorsk with strike drones. The attack damaged a city hospital, a private residential building, an administrative building, a grain storage facility, and trucks. Four people were injured, including a doctor performing surgery at the monent of the attack. All the injured are in moderate condition; two were hospitalized, while the others are receiving outpatient treatment. Additionally, the strike caused power supply issues in parts of Chornomorsk and its outskirts.
As of 6:00 a.m. on 31 January, there were two enemy ships in the Black Sea, including one carrying Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to four missiles. Six enemy ships were in the Mediterranean, including two carrying Kalibr missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to 22 missiles.
Over the past day, four ships passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea in the interests of the russian federation, and three ships entered the Sea of Azov.
Today in Odesa, a memorial event titled “Bell of Remembrance” was held for the first time at the “Fighters for Ukraine” memorial in the “Glory and Will” square to honor fallen soldiers in the russo-Ukrainian war. According to the organizers—Veterans HUB NGO, Mothers’ Hearts of Odesa NGO, and the Family of Angels of Light NGO—the ceremonies will take place at the end of each month, aiming to individually commemorate all those who gave their lives for their homeland.
Kherson oblast
At approximately 4:20 p.m., russian forces attacked a man in Kherson using a UAV. The 56-year-old Kherson resident suffered an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to his legs and chest.
An elderly man from Kherson, injured during the russian shelling of the city on 29 January, sought medical care. The 84-year-old was diagnosed with an explosive injury and concussion.
Yesterday, the enemy shelled Antonivka, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Sofiivka, Pryozerne, Bilozerka, Tomyna Balka, Oleksandrivka, Dniprovske, Zelenivka, Inhulets, Inzhenerne, Kizomys, Komyshany, Mykilske, Molodizhne, Beryslav, Mykolaivka, Mylove, Mykhailivka, Kachkarivka, Monastyrske, Novokairy, Novooleksandrivka, Olhivka, Osokorivka, Respublikanets, Lvove, Krupytsia, Tokarivka, Tiahynka, Khreshchenivka, Chervonyi Maiak, Shylova Balka, Novoberyslav, Novoraisk, Havrylivka, Burhunka, Kozatske, Vesele, and the city of Kherson. Two apartment buildings, 48 private homes, a gas station, monuments, household structures, garages, and private vehicles were damaged. Nine people were injured due to russian aggression.

On 30 January, police evacuated two wounded individuals, a man and a woman, from Beryslav who were injured in russian drone attacks.
The enemy continues to assault positions along the entire frontline, aiming to breach defenses. There were eleven assaults in the past day, primarily on the Prydniprovske axis, particularly in the island zone. After suffering losses in manpower and equipment, the enemy was forced to retreat to their initial positions. The Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine neutralized 83 enemy soldiers and destroyed five artillery systems, three mortars, 12 vehicles, three motorcycles, two boats, eight electronic warfare systems, two generators, one surveillance camera, six UAV control antennas, three communication antennas, two “Starlink” satellite terminals, and three additional antennas. Eighteen personnel shelters, including nine bunkers, and 11 observation posts were also targeted.
Bilozerka community received construction materials for rebuilding damaged homes. Trucks carrying slate, lumber, nails, and other essential repair materials arrived in the community. The assistance will be distributed among families whose homes were damaged in the shelling.

Lviv oblast
Lviv has leased non-residential premises to the Aid to Veterans of the ATO Phoenix CF on preferential terms. On the first floor with a total area of 132.1 sqm. It was leased for a period of 5 years. According to the charitable foundation, these premises are planned to be used for activities related to the provision of rehabilitation services for veterans and military personnel.
A memorial plaque was opened in Strii region in memory of the fallen soldier Ihor Vovk, flamethrower of the Military Unit A2558. He was awarded War Veteran, Participant in Hostilities medals and the Honorary Medal of the commander of the 16th Separate Support regiment. He was killed on 28 January 2024 near the settlement of Kozachi Laheri, Kherson oblast.
Rivne oblast
The RMA reported that Rivne oblast has prepared almost 500 anti-tank hedgehogs for defense needs. They have gone to the front-line regions.
Communities of Rivne oblast submitted 13 applications for funding to build shelters in schools. Of these, 2 are completion projects from last year (Dubno, Lyukhcha) and 11 are new projects.
Ternopil oblast
The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the U-LEAD with Europe program. The challenges and prospects for the development of local self-government in the context of European integration were discussed.
Ternopil City Council reported that 7 Ternopil defenders will receive UAH 15,000 each for treatment and rehabilitation.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
At night, during an air alert signal, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 6 enemy Shahed UAVs. The attack damaged windows, facades, and fences in three private houses. There were no casualties.
294 active military personnel from Khmelnytskyi community received funds. The total amount is UAH 2.3m.
Chernivtsi oblast
Another batch of humanitarian aid, consisting of 190 food and vegetable kits, was delivered by the Orange Women Charity Fund with the assistance of the international organization World Central Kitchen. The aid is intended for civilians evacuated from the frontline areas of Donetsk oblast, who are currently living in 12 temporary shelters in Chernivtsi oblast. This aid provides for three-time food support once a month.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Lithuania sent short-range MANPADS to Ukraine. Since the beginning of the war, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth EUR 767m. Total long-term support has exceeded EUR 1.5bn.
Great Britain will allocate £2bn to Ukraine for the purchase of air defense systems and missiles for them. The government has approved a bill to ratify the Framework Agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom to support the development of our defense capabilities. This agreement provides funds for the organization of repair bases for military equipment and other weapons.
Andrii Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office, had a phone conversation with Ajit Kumar Doval, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India. They discussed current issues of Ukrainian-Indian relations and coordination of joint efforts against the backdrop of the change of the US Presidential administration.
Vladyslav Vlasiuk, Advisor to the President of Ukraine, held a meeting with representatives of the UN World Food Program. The topic was the continuation of the implementation of the Grain from Ukraine program.
