It has been the 1024th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

The russian army does not stop trying to advance deep into the territory of Ukraine. On 13 December, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 131 times. It is most active towards Pokrovsk and Vremivka, where it carried out almost half of all attacks.

The border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts continue to suffer from russian artillery shelling – the settlements of Khrinivka, Tymonovychi, Nova Huta, Velyka Pysarivka, Vyntorivka were affected. The enemy carried out airstrikes with KABs on Turia and Mala Rybitsia.

Towards Kharkiv, near Vovchansk, russian terrorists  tried to conduct offensive actions, one battle is ongoing. Enemy aircraft carried out airstrikes with GABs on Hraniv and Vovchanski Khutory.

The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions towards Kupiansk six times. Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy assaults near Kolisnykivka, Bohuslavka and Lozova.

Towards Lyman, enemy units continue to attack in the vicinity of the settlements of Hrekivka, Nadiia, Zelenyi Hai, Shyikivka, Makiivka, Terny, Zarichne, Torske, Dibrova and Hryhorivka. Ukrainian soldiers repelled ten out of nineteen enemy attacks in this direction. Fighting continues. The enemy fired on Serhiivka with anti-aircraft guns.

Towards Siversk, Ukrainian defenders repelled one assault in the vicinity of ​​Bilohorivka. The enemy dropped a GAB on Siversk.

Towards Kramatorsk, the occupiers attacked five times in the vicinity of ​​Chasiv Yar.

Towards Toretsk, seven enemy attacks occurred. The enemy was active in the vicinity of Toretsk and Dyliivka. Ukrainian defenders are putting up a decent fight, two attacks were stopped, and five clashes are ongoing.

Towards The hottest today is towards Pokrovsk. The invaders carried out 32 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Promin, Dachenske, Shevchenko, Novyi Trud, Zelene, Pishchane and Pushkine. The defense forces, restraining the enemy onslaught, repelled 23 attacks. Nine clashes are ongoing.

There are 18 clashes towards Kurakhiv, the invaders are most actively trying to advance towards Stari Terny, Sontsivka, Zori, Kurakhove, Dalne, Dachne, Hannivka and Uspenivka. Seven clashes are still ongoing.

Towards Vremivka, the invaders attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops 29 times near the settlements of Trudove, Veselyi Hai, Kostiantynopolske, Sukhi Yaly, Blahodatne, Storozheve, Neskuchne, Makarivka and Novodarivka, ten clashes are still ongoing.

Towards Kherson, the invader made one unsuccessful attempt to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops.

In Kursk oblast, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks of the invaders, five more clashes are ongoing.

In other areas of the front, no significant changes were noted.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports that during another massive shelling, russia launched 93 missiles and used about 200 drones on the territory of Ukraine. I81 missiles were shot down, of which 11 cruise missiles –  by the F-16.

According to the IAEA, five out of nine nuclear power plant units reduced their capacity due to the russian missile attack on the energy sector. As a result of the attack, the equipment of the DTEK thermal power plant was seriously damaged.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

The General Staff said that over 160 attacks were repelled by the Defense Forces on the eastern front. In particular, towards Kurakhiv, the Defense Forces repelled 51 attacks. Towards Pokrovsk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped 47 russian assaults. Towards Vremivka, russian units carried out 31 assaults on Ukrainian positions. Towards Lyman, the Russian army attacked 22 times.

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff reported that towards Kharkiv, the russian military near Vovchansk attempted to conduct offensive operations, and as of 16:00, one combat engagement was ongoing. Russian aircraft struck with GABs at Hraniv and Vovchanski Khutory.

The occupier attacked Ukrainian positions towards Kupiansk six times. Ukrainian defenders repelled all assaults near Kolisnykivka, Bohuslavka, and Lozova.

The occupiers struck at Myrne, Berestyn region. Civilian infrastructure was damaged. At least 4 people were injured.

At 01:43, russians attacked Kharkiv. Air defense forces eliminated an enemy UAV in the Industrial district. The roof of a residential multi-story building, window glazing, and balcony were damaged by debris. No casualties were reported.

At 13:00,  between the villages of Kupevakha and Hubarivka, Bohodukhiv region,  air defense forces eliminated an enemy UAV.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk, Hlyboke and Starytsia five times today, all attacks were repelled by the Defense Forces.

Seven times, the enemy stormed the positions of the Ukrainian military towards Kupiansk in the vicinity of Synkivka, Zahryzove and Zapadne. The battle near Dvorichna continues.

Donetsk oblast

The operational-strategic group of troops Khortytsia denied information that Ukrainian troops are operationally surrounded near Uspenivka, ​​Donetsk oblast. Ukrainian fighters are repelling assaults on the outskirts of the settlements of Uspenivka, Hannivka, Trudove, Romanivka and are counteracting their capture or encirclement by the enemy.

Orest Drymalovskyi, representative of the press service of the 79th brigade, informs that extremely heavy fighting continues towards Kurakhove. The russian army is changing tactics, using armored vehicles, drones, infantry on motorcycles and buggies, and is also using small assault groups.

Volodymyr Proskunin, Head of Mykolaiv RMA,  and Olena Rudenko, representative of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, inform that russian troops shelled the city of Mykolaivka in Donetsk oblast. Previously, russian troops used the Smerch multiple launch rocket system for the attack. As a result of cluster shells hitting the private sector, windows and roofs in houses, power lines and heating mains were damaged. There were no injuries or deaths during this attack.

The day before, the police recorded 2,384 russian strikes on the front line and residential areas.

The enemy attacked three settlements: the cities of Kostiantynivka and Myrnohrad, and the village of Zvirove.

15 civilian objects were destroyed, including 8 residential buildings.

The russians shelled Kostiantynivka with artillery, damaging 2 apartment buildings and 4 private buildings, 3 garages, 2 power lines, and a gas pipeline.

An infrastructure facility was damaged in Myrnohrad, and two private homes in Zvirove.

Metinvest said in a statement on the website of the European stock exchange Euronext, informs that in Pishchane near Pokrovsk, Donetsk oblast, the coal site of the Pokrovske mine management suspended operations due to the approach of the front line and increased shelling.

Luhansk oblast

The RMA reported that the day before, the russians conducted assault operations near Novoiehorivka, Makiivka and Nadiia. They also tried to advance in Serebrianka Forest. In total, they attacked more than 20 times towards Lyman. They shelled Ukrainian positions, mainly with artillery and UAVs. In particular, 47 drones were used last day. They were hit 10 times with artillery installations.

In the so-called “lpr”, from January 1, 2025, it is forbidden to pay pensions to persons who do not have a russian passport. They have less than three weeks left to receive the document – ​​this is without taking into account a number of pre-holiday and weekend days in December.

In photo reports and television stories, russians like to show cities captured in 2014 that avoided hostilities, or painted high-rise buildings in front-line settlements.

In Borivske, which belongs to Severskodonetsk, but is located quite remotely, there is still no mobile communication. The wired technology of the past has not been brought here either. In order to call the “emergency numbers” – an ambulance or rescuers – you have to walk or drive 7 km to the nearest payphone installed in a neighboring settlement.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the RMA, reported that the air raid alert lasted for 15 hours in Kyiv oblast, from the evening of 12 December to the morning of 13 December. No hits were recorded as a result of the massive russian attack, but the debris from the downed targets damaged 4 private houses, two boxes of an agricultural enterprise and power lines. Debris also fell outside the settlements in open areas.

DTEK has announced new blackout schedules in Kyiv and oblast. The duration of the blackouts has been extended due to a massive russian attack on the company’s thermal power plants. 

US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink announced that an American delegation had arrived in the Ukrainian capital during the massive russian missile attack. The delegation includes Ambassador-at-Large for Cyberspace and Digital Policy Nate Fick and Director of the Defence Innovation Unit Doug Beck. They will meet with representatives of Ukraine’s defence and technology sector to discuss opportunities for future cooperation with the United States.

In Kyiv oblast, 81 housing vouchers were handed out to Ukrainian defenders – residents of oblast who were on the housing register. According to the regional military administration, this year Kyiv oblast has received a total of over UAH 1.1 billion in subventions from the state budget to purchase 478 apartments for defenders and their families.

On 12 December, Kyiv City Council members adopted a decision to establish a municipal non-profit enterprise, Militari Sport, in Kyiv, which will specialise in the physical training and sports rehabilitation of military personnel, war veterans and their families. The new enterprise will perform a wide range of tasks, including organisation of sports events for veterans and military personnel, rehabilitation after injuries and diseases through physical exercises.

Kyiv City Council reported that the city deputies renamed 12 streets and squares in Kyiv. Seven of them received new names as part of de-russification and decommunisation. The city objects will be named in honour of prominent Ukrainian figures and defenders who fought for Ukraine’s independence.

Zhytomyr oblast

The city council reported that in Zhytomyr, on 11 December, the families of the servicemen who died for Ukraine were handed state and departmental awards: the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, III degree, the Orders “For Courage”, II and III degrees, and badges (posthumously). The families of the seven soldiers received the orders and badges.

Training of the first group of specialists in Ukraine to support war veterans and demobilised persons started at the Veteran Development Centre of Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University. The training group consists of 30 people, including veterans, their families and families of fallen defenders from Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions.

The RMA reported that Zhytomyr oblast continues to provide shelter and assistance to internally displaced persons. Today, 325 IDPs are accommodated in 19 temporary accommodation centres, and 535 in 40 compact accommodation centres. However, the majority of IDPs have found shelter in the private sector. This fact demonstrates the active support of local communities.

Volunteers in Zhytomyr launched the Secret St Nicholas campaign for the military. They are collecting warm clothes, food, children’s cards, amulets and sweets to send to soldiers and military doctors at the frontline before the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Sumy oblast

 During night and morning, russians carried out 8 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 15 explosions. The attacks targeted Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Seredyna-Buda communities.

Bilopillia community: an attack by FPV-drone (1 explosion). 

Esman community: the enemy hit by mortals (4 explosions) and by FPV-drones (2 explosions). 

Velyka Pysarivka community: attack by FPV-drones (2 explosions).

Seredyna-Buda community: VOG was dropped from a UAV (1 explosion), attack by FPV-drone (1 explosion).

On 12 Desember, russians carried out 42 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 112 explosions. The attacks targeted Sumy, Khotin, Myropilia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Druzhbivka, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorod communities.

Velyka Pysarivka community: the enemy struck by mortars (3 explosions), artillery (6 explosions) and dropped VOG from UAVs (2 explosions). There was also an attack by an FPV-drone (1 explosion). As a result of the attack, a passenger car was damaged.

Krasnopillia community: there was an attack by FPV-drones (7 explosions), dropping VOG from UAVs (5 explosions), mortar shelling (8 explosions), launching of KABs (2 explosions).

Sumy community: shelling of a Lancet type UAV was recorded (1 explosion). As a result of the shelling, a passenger car and a residential building were damaged.

Znob-Novhorod community: a strike was carried out by an FPV-drone (1 explosion), mortar shelling (4 explosions).

Khotin community: a VOG was dropped from a UAV (1 explosion).

Seredyna-Buda community: russians struck by artillery (14 explosions), mortars (24 explosions).

Esman community: artillery shelling (5 explosions), FPV-drone attack (4 explosions).

Druzhbivka community: russians dropped 8 mines on the territory of the community.

Myropilia community: the enemy struck by artillery (6 explosions), MLRS (7 explosions) and fired by a Lancet type UAV (1 explosion).

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that in Sumy oblast, specialized equipment for mobile fire groups and reconnaissance drones were manufactured and handed over to Territorial Defense fighters. The region-produced turrets were delivered to local air defense units, which regularly intercept russian Shahed drones. Additionally, reconnaissance quadcopters were provided to a Territorial Defense brigade tasked with protecting Sumy Oblast and Ukraine.

Chernihiv oblast

According to Chernihiv Regional Police, during the night of 13 December, russian forces attacked settlements in three regions of Chernihiv oblast: Chernihiv, Pryluky, and Nizhyn — using strike drones. In Chernihiv region, two private houses were damaged. In Pryluky region, the crash of a drone caused damage to residential buildings, outbuildings, and a gymnasium. In Nizhyn region, a farm was hit, resulting in the death of 11 cows.

During the day russian army attacked border communities in Chernihiv oblast. In total, 85 explosions were recorded.

Mykhalchyna Sloboda: 2 explosions (by FPV-drone).

Bohdanove: 6 explosions (by FPV-drone).

Semenivka community:

Semenivka: 18 explosions (by barrel artillery).

Mykolaivka: 8 explosions (by barrel  artillery).

Hai: 3 explosions (by FPV-drone).

Kovpynka: 1 explosion (by FPV-drone).

Hremiachka: 7 explosions (by 120mm mortar).

Yanzhulivka: 4 explosions (by 120mm mortar).

Polissia: 1 explosion (by Lancet type UAV).

Tymonovychi: 2 explosions (by 120mm mortar).

Halahanivka: 1 explosion (by FPV-drone), 1 explosive device dropped from UAV, 2 explosions (by 82mm mortar).

Snovsk community:

Huta Studenetska: 4 explosive devices dropped from UAVs, 4 explosions (by FPV-drone).

Yeline: 2 explosions (by FPV-drone), 2 explosions (by 120mm mortar).

Hrinivka: 2 explosions (explosive devices dropped from UAVs), 5 explosions (by 120mm mortar).

No casualties or injuries among the local population were reported as a result of the shelling.

On 12 December, volunteers from Belgium and the Netherlands delivered humanitarian aid to Chernihiv. The aid included a pickup truck, an ambulance, three generators, medical supplies, clothing, and food.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, the enemy also continued to attack the Nikopol region. They attacked mainly with artillery, and launched a kamikaze drone. They targeted the district centre and Pokrovske community. Seven private houses, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged. The regional centre and the Marhanets community were targeted.

Vinnytsia oblast

Natalia Zabolotna, Head of the defence ministry, reported that ​​seven missiles and five drones were shot down in Vinnytsia oblast during the massive russian army attack. 

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, said that in Kirovohrad oblast,  an enemy drone was eliminated. Minor damage was recorded on the territory of a private household in Novoarkhanhelsk.

Poltava oblast

In Poltava, war veterans and their families were presented with housing certificates. This is the implementation of the Heroes’ Policy clause of Ukraine’s Internal Resilience Plan. 41 certificates were given to veterans, including people with disabilities of groups I and II, and combatants from among the internally displaced persons.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, reported  that in Cherkasy oblast, 17 Shaheds and 2 rockets were destroyed. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On 12 December, the occupiers launched 205 attacks on nine settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces carried out nine airstrikes targeting Stepnohirsk and Mala Tokmachka. Eighty-two drones of various types attacked Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, and Novodarivka. Additionally, MLRS shelled Novodanylivka. 113 artillery strikes hit Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, and Novodarivka. Fifteen reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure. Three men were injured as a result of russian aggression.

According to the General Staff, the enemy made two unsuccessful attempts to attack Ukrainian positions near Novodanylivka towards Orikhiv.

Aerial reconnaissance units of the 3rd Operational Brigade successfully identified an enemy position used for launching kamikaze drones targeting Ukraine’s Defense Forces. The precise location of the enemy was established, and Ukrainian artillery delivered a powerful strike, destroying enemy forces and equipment.

Zaporizhzhia oblast received two specialized vehicles thanks to the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine. One vehicle will assist in assessing building damage in Zaporizhzhia, while the other will provide mobile social services to residents of Bilenke community.

Mykolaiv oblast

On 12 December, at 10:10 a.m., the enemy attacked Kutsurub community with an FPV drone. As a result of the attack, a power line in the village of Solonchaky was damaged but was promptly repaired. No casualties were reported.

On the morning of 13 December, during a massive attack on Ukraine, Viktor, a marksman from a mobile fire group, shot down a russian missile over Mykolaiv oblast. This was his first combat mission using a Stinger man-portable air defense system.

Seven specialists began working in Mykolaiv oblast to support veterans. Nationwide, 411 specialists who passed the selection process are now operating. They assist veterans with obtaining official statuses, accessing social benefits, finding employment, starting businesses, rehabilitation, and other services.

Two underground schools were established in Mykolaiv oblast, allowing students to continue offline education even during prolonged air raids. This initiative was made possible by the international charity foundation savED with the support of donors, businesses, and the global community. On 6 December, the first educational space was opened in the de-occupied village of Tsentralne, Shevchenkove community. The construction of the underground school cost over 5.5 million UAH. On 7 December, another underground school was inaugurated in the regional center. This renovated shelter in a Mykolaiv school was equipped for holding classes and cost over 4 million UAH.

Odesa oblast

This morning, russian terrorists launched two attacks on Odesa oblast. At dawn, the enemy deployed attack drones in the southern part of the region, with no reported consequences. Additionally, russian forces targeted Odesa region with missiles. Air defense forces successfully destroyed all enemy targets. However, fragments of the intercepted missiles caused damage to civilian infrastructure, including an office building of a private transportation company and eight trucks. Relevant services are working at the scene.

During the night of 13 December, border guards destroyed three Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones in Odesa oblast. Fighters from  Odesa Border Guard Detachment shot down two drones, while servicemen from the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Detachment neutralized another.

Odesa Military Regional Administration awarded approximately 50 veterans with certificates for purchasing housing. There are still 22 people on the housing waiting list, and the administration plans to meet their needs by the end of the year.

Kherson oblast

At approximately 7:30am, russian forces used drones to attack Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. Two individuals sustained explosive injuries and multiple burns to their hands and faces. Both were hospitalized in moderate condition.

Yesterday, the enemy shelled Beryslav, Antonivka, Stanislav, Poniativka, Vesele, Inzhenerne, Olhivka, Novooleksandrivka, Havrylivka, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Tomaryne, Lvove, Novoberyslav, Komyshany, Mykolaivka, Tiahynka, Kozatske, Sadove, Tomyna Balka, Shyroka Balka, and the city of Kherson. Three apartment buildings, four private houses, gas pipelines, and private vehicles were damaged. russian aggression resulted in one death and two injuries.

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported the death of a resident of Kozatske from a drone attack on 11 December. Another injured man from Kozatske, a 55-year-old, was hospitalized with explosive injuries, a concussion, and multiple shrapnel wounds to the abdomen, groin, and arm.

On 12 December, the enemy attempted assault operations five times towards Kherson. The Ukrainian Southern Defense Forces eliminated 70 enemy personnel, five vehicles, a cannon, a boat, an ATV, a Murom-M surveillance system, a generator, and an electronic warfare system. Additionally, two bunkers, six observation buildups, a firing position, and an ammunition depot were destroyed.

Two residents of Beryslav community were evacuated to Kirovohrad oblast. Elderly individuals from Tomaryne were transported to safety, with one evacuee currently receiving medical treatment in Kryvyi Rih.

In Kherson oblast, the first housing certificates for purchasing homes were presented to two servicemen and the daughter of a fallen hero. These certificates will enable recipients to choose and buy housing independently. This year, Kherson oblast received 45.8 million UAH from the state, providing 25 defenders and their families with housing opportunities.

Chornobaivka community plans to implement resident-proposed projects by 2025. In 2024, 258 recovery ideas were reviewed, and four projects were selected: constructing a shelter at Kyselivka clinic, repairing health center in Blahodatne, establishing safety classrooms in two schools, installing playgrounds and sports facilities in every village, and setting up 22 bike racks near key social facilities. Preparatory and construction work will continue over the next six months.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council bought necessary equipment for rescuers from Volyn oblast for UAH 1m within the framework of the Civil Defense Development Program of Lutsk City Territorial Community for 2021-2025.

Zakarpattia oblast

During another massive attack, 2 missiles crossed the airspace of the oblast. One of them was shot down by fighters of the 101st Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense of Zakarpattia near the city of Mukachevo. Another missile was eliminated near the village of Kliucharky.

In the forest area between the villages of Pavshino and Kliucharky, near Mukachevo, remains of a rocket with unexploded ammunition of 400kg were found. Due to the high threat of detonation, residents of the zone of possible damage, which covers 2 km, were evacuated. The ammunition was detonated around 1:40 pm. 

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In the morning, Prykarpattia was subjected to the most massive attack during the full-scale war. At dawn, the enemy used attack drones and cruise missiles. Critical infrastructure objects were hit. No casualties were reported.  At the scene, relevant services are eliminating the consequences of the attack.

Lviv oblast

During the morning attack, the enemy attacked 6 facilities of critical energy infrastructure. The fires that arose as a result of the impact were extinguished. Employees of the State Emergency Service and law enforcement officers are working on the spot. There are no casualties reported.

Rescuers eliminated the consequences of the attacks in Lviv oblast. In total, 130 employees and 28 units of special equipment were involved.

The RMA held a meeting with the Alliance Occitanie Ukraine French association. The parties discussed expansion of cooperation in humanitarian, educational, medical spheres and interregional partnership.

Lviv oblast sent 192 Kolos drones, of which 142 are already helping to destroy the occupiers on the battlefield, to the 117th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigades.

Rivne oblast

There are 12 veteran support specialists working in Rivne oblast. Officially, the work of specialists in accompanying war veterans and demobilized persons in Ukraine started on 6 December.

The RMA reported that during the year, UAH 23m will be provided for the regional complex program to support veterans next year as part of the Heroes Policy in Rivne oblast.

Ternopil oblast

During the air alarm signal, there was a hit on the territory of the oblast. Details are not disclosed. There are no casualties reported. 

Ternopil City Council reported that 5 defenders from the city will receive one-time financial aid for treatment and rehabilitation.

Ternopil community sent 20 MAVIC reconnaissance drones to the 55th Separate Rifle Battalion.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, during the air alarm signal, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 1 Shahed UAV. There were no casualties or property damage.

In the afternoon, during the air alarm signal, the Air Defense Forces shot down 6 missiles within Khmelnytskyi oblast. As a result of the attack, the facade of the house and the windows of a private house were damaged.

236 residents of Khmelnytskyi will be provided with financial aid of over UAH 2.5m. 15 families of fallen heroes will receive UAH 530,000, 58 military personnel – over UAH 800,000 for rehabilitation and 118 active servicemen – over UAH 800,000.

Chernivtsi oblast

As a result of the combined drone and missile enemy attack on Ukraine, there was no destruction or casualties in Bukovyna. Enemy targets that violated the airspace of Chernivtsi oblast were eliminated on the territory of the adjacent oblasts.

Chernivtsi City Council reported that UAH 15.6m was allocated to the needs of Chernivtsivodokanal for high-quality water supply and modernization of networks. 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine met with directors of the Departments of Eastern European countries of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Northern Baltic Countries (NB8). They discussed priority needs of the Defense Forces, specifically, modern air defense systems of various ranges to protect Ukrainian energy this winter.

6 European countries and the EU signed Berlin Declaration on Ukraine. The declaration speaks of support for Ukraine’s membership in the EU and NATO, as well as the fact that peace in Ukraine should be based on the Ukrainian Peace Formula. It was signed by heads of foreign affairs of Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, France, Ukraine and the representative of the EU for the Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

In the Czech Republic, $3m is being collected for a Black Hawk helicopter for the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine. It is noted that there are several such helicopters in service, which are successfully used in operations to destroy russian invaders. Two-thirds of the sum has already been collected.
