During the day of 27 March, there were 49x tactical engagements.
The enemy launched a total of 7x missile and 60x air strikes, 73x MLRS attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Residential apartment blocks, medical institutions, cars, schools, kindergartens and other civil infrastructure got destroyed and damaged.
Volyn and Polissia axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the russian areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct subversion in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. The enemy continues shelling of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increasing the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Veterynarne (Kharkiv oblast) and the city of Kharkiv. Around 10x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Khrinivka, Hirsk, Mkhy, Tymonovychi, Kostobobriv, Mykhalchyna Sloboda (Chernihiv oblast), Kucherivka, Starykove, Kindrativka, Veselivka, Basivka (Sumy oblast), Veterynarne, Borysivka, Ambarne, Strilecha (Kharkiv oblast).
Kupiansk axis: no enemy offensive operations reported. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novoiehorivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15x settlements, including Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).
Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 2x assaults in the vicinity of Terny (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy made attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The occupiers launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Yampolivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Makiivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Serebrianka, Spirne (Donetsk oblast).
Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 4x attacks in the vicinities of Ivanivske, Andriivka (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders, using air attacks, made attempts to improve their tactical position. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novyi, Druzhba (Donetsk oblast). Around 10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast).
Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 9x attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Semenivka and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers, with air support, maintain their attempts to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions. The occupiers launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Tsukuryne (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Oleksandropil, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Ukrainsk (Donetsk oblast).
Novopavlivka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to block the enemy near Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, where the invaders, using air attacks, made 21x attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Oleksandropil, Velyka Novosilka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 15x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast).
Orikhiv axis: the enemy, with air support, conducted 3x attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast), Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 15x settlements, including Poltavka, Rivnopil, Charivne, Orikhiv, Piatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
Kherson axis: the enemy conducted no offensive operations. The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at the city of Kherson and Mykhailivka (Kherson oblast).
During the day of 27 March, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 10x concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.
The Ukrainian Missile Forces hit 2x concentrations of troops, 1x air defence system, 1x electronic warfare station, 1x important target of the russian invaders.
The UN mission recorded the execution of 32 Ukrainian prisoners of war by russian troops over the winter. The organisation’s experts published a report and also conducted interviews with 60 Ukrainian soldiers recently released from captivity. The UN mission says that the respondents informed that the russian military tortured prisoners: they used electric shocks, committed sexual violence, forced them to stay in an uncomfortable position for a long time, threatened to shoot them or imitated it. The mission also documented credible reports of executions of at least 32 Ukrainian prisoners of war between 1 December 2023 and 29 February 2024.
Based on the information provided by Ukrenerho JSC, power engineers have fully powered critical infrastructure in all Ukrainian cities affected by the russian missile attack on 22 March. In Odesa and Kharkiv oblasts, hourly power outage schedules are in force as there was significant damage to the grid at substations. In Khmelnytskyi and Kryvyi Rih, there are no electricity restrictions at the moment but the JSC will be forced to apply the schedules if consumption increases.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
Ivan Shevtsov, Assistant Head of the Stalevyi Kordon border guard detachment, reported that the russian army command saved equipment by sending 10-20 soldiers to storm the positions of the Defence Forces towards Lyman-Kupiansk.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv RMA, said that the invaders struck twice at Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. The shelling of residential buildings was probably conducted by the D-30 UIPM. It is quite powerful, with an average explosion force between an aerial bomb and a rocket. A 30cm calibre munition can fly up to 90km. It can be used both from aircraft and Smerch MRLs. According to preliminary data, today is the first time the enemy has struck Kharkiv by a large-calibre guided munition.
The shells hit a playground between two apartment buildings and a secondary school. As of 4pm, there is information about the partial destruction of two five-storey buildings, a medical institution, an administrative building and a public place. The building of the educational institution was partially damaged by another hit. In total, at least 14 apartment buildings were damaged.
So far, 19 people, including 4 children, have been injured. A 59-year-old man was killed.
13 people were taken to medical institutions:
- children: the youngest boy is only 3 months old, one girl is almost 2 years old, another girl is 9, and the oldest of them is a 13-year-old teenager. The children had moderate injuries and were treated at the hospital and discharged;
- Women are mostly middle-aged and older – from 21 to 92. They suffered minor and moderate injuries. Of these, 5 were treated on the spot without further hospitalisation;
- 55 and 60-year-old men were hospitalised with moderate injuries.

The police stated that the remains of three people were found in Chuhuiv region, between Hrakove and Mospanove villages: a family probably exploded on an explosive device during the occupation.
The press service of the city council reported, citing Rytual, that cemetery №14 in Kharkiv is temporarily closed as a Shahed drone downed on the night of 27 March fell on the territory. The relevant services are working at the crash site, demining is being performed there.
At 11:40am, Kharkiv was shelled by an X-35U cruise missile. The building of a municipal institution and an apartment building were damaged. A 64-year-old security guard was injured but not hospitalised.
About 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered artillery and mortar attacks yesterday: Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kotliarivka and others. The settlements of Novoiehorivka, Ivanivka and Kyslivka were hit by airstrikes.
At 4:50am, 78 consumers were left without electricity in Chornolozhka village, Krasnohrad region, as a result of hostile rocket attack. There were no casualties.
At 03:15am, an enemy launched Shahed UAV on Izium, damaging the building of an educational institution and a private house. A 62-year-old security guard was injured, but not hospitalised.
At 12:30am, a private house and an outbuilding were damaged as a result of shelling in Kupiansk. There were no casualties.
At 3:40pm, the enemy shelled Kupiansk by Uragan MRLs, damaging a private house and the building of the dairy factory. A 55-year-old man was injured.
At 8:45am, Oleksandrivka village, Bohodukhiv region, was shelled by Grad multiple rocket launcher systems, damaging a local institution building, 9 private houses, 2 private cars and an educational institution building. A 56-year-old woman was injured.
At 8:45am, Odnorobivka village, Bohodukhiv region, was shelled by Grad MRLs. There were no casualties or destruction.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy made one unsuccessful attack near Ivanivka yesterday.
Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 22.38 hectares of mines and destroyed 87 explosive ordnance.
157 children were evacuated from two communities: 37 from Vilkhuvatka and 120 from Velykyi Burluk.
Donetsk oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian troops repelled 62 russian attacks on the frontlines of Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts on 26 March. The russian army attacked towards Lyman, Novopavlivka and Orikhiv with the support of aviation.
Serhii Chaus, Head of Chasiv Yar City Military Administration, reported an increased number of attacks. The russian army is dropping guided bombs and launching drones across the city. However, people are provided with food, hygiene kits, and can receive medicines.
Ivan Shevtsov, Assistant Head of the Stalevyi Kordon border guard detachment, stated that about 100,000 russian troops are towards Lyman-Kupiansk. The russian army has suffered losses, but it is constantly pulling up reserves among the military and equipment.
Selydove City Military Administration informed that the enemy shelled Ukrainsk, two people were injured and hospitalised. The shelling caused a fire in garages and damaged about 29 apartment buildings. According to Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Spokeswoman of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the invaders used a D-30 UIPM, a universal interspecies planning munition with a diameter of 30cm, against the civilian population. As a result of the munition hitting a residential area, a 78-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman, who were in their homes, were injured.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that 14 children from Toretsk and 9 minors from Kurakhove communities need to be evacuated from the settlements where forced evacuation is announced. In total, 3144 children remain in the frontline communities.
One person was killed as a result of shelling of Raihorodok in Mykolaiv community. Also russians shelled the village this morning and according to preliminary information, they used cluster munitions. A 66-year-old man died of shrapnel wounds. 12 private houses were damaged. In addition, Ukrainsk of Selydove community was under hostile attack today and 2 people were injured, 29 apartment buildings damaged.
In Mariupol, the invaders are destroying one of the most famous cultural monuments, the Grandfather tumulus, which was created in the 5th century BC.
In Kostiantynivka, gas companies restored gas to about a thousand customers in less than two days. The specialists repaired underground gas pipelines with diameters of 100 and 150mm and flange connections at the gas distribution point.
The operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of 27 March is as follows:
Towards Pokrovsk, in Kurakhove community, a house in Hostre was damaged, Kurakhove, Trudove, Uspenivka and Hanivka shelled. Ocheretyne was under attack, no one was injured. In Novohrodivka, 2 people were killed and 1 injured.
Towards Kramatorsk, Lyman community suffered numerous attacks: 3 private houses, 3 two-storey buildings and an administrative building were damaged in Lyman; 13 houses destroyed and 1 damaged in Terny; an infrastructure facility damaged in Yampil. In Kostiantynivka community, Dyliivka and Bila Hora were shelled.
Towards Bakhmut, 9 private houses were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. A garage in Toretsk and 2 non-residential buildings in Siversk were damaged. The villages of Soledar and Zvanivka communities were under attack.
In total, russians attacked settlements of Donetsk oblast 18 times. 456 people, including 42 children, were evacuated from the frontline.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk RMA, reported that yesterday russians killed 2 civilians in Novohrodivka. One more person was injured in the oblast over the day.
Luhansk oblast
The invaders attacked from all available types of weapons. Like yesterday, the enemy main attacks were concentrated towards Bilohorivka. The assaults were carried out using aircraft and artillery of various calibres. Currently, all enemy attempts to advance in this area have been repelled.
The consequences of this year’s attacks on our de-occupied villages are also being documented, like for instance, the destruction of a house and nearby outbuildings in Nevske.
According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, in Sorokyne and Molodohvardiisk this week, people started to receive summonses on a massive scale. In an attempt to calm down the population, the russian military claim that they are forming a mobilisation reserve. At the same time, they have not announced any targets for forced mobilisation. Locals believe that what was expected after the elections has begun.
Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk RMA, reported that on Mondays, propaganda lessons are held in educational institutions in the so-called “lpr”. Specifically, they talk about the “unity of the peoples of the russian federation”. According to the order of the director of one of the schools, during such lessons, children have to listen to the unity of the “people of the lpr” on their knees. This is how they break the generation of the future.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The National Police reported that the explosives experts of Kyiv removed the warhead of the rocket that fell on 25 March in the private sector of Solomoanskyi district. A fragment of a rocket with an explosive substance weighing more than 20kg was found several hundred metres from private houses. The law enforcement officers disconnected the detonators from the rest of the combat unit in order to destroy it in the conditions of the training ground.
The delegation of the Riigikogu (Parliament) of Estonia, headed by Speaker Lauri Hussar, who is visiting Kyiv, met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It was about the issue of further comprehensive support for Ukraine and the urgent need to repel the aggressor.
KCSA reported that the members of the Swedish government delegation visited Kyiv City Clinical Hospital for War Veterans and talked with the medical staff and patients of the institution. The Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden – the Minister of Energy, Business and Industry of Sweden Ebba Bush assured of the readiness of her country to continue to cooperate with Kyiv in the field of health care and rehabilitation of Ukrainian servicemen.
During an open meeting of the Internally Displaced Persons Council at the KCMA, Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, said that more than 400,000 internally displaced persons live in Kyiv.
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, said that the UN World Food Program transferred more than UAH 14m to 111 schools in Kyiv oblast to provide students with daily hot meals. In total, the program covers more than 25,000 children of the oblast.
Bucha City Council reported that in the village of Zdvizhivka, Bucha community, they will hold a free training, where they will learn how to provide first aid in emergency situations. Anyone can join the training in Rada Hub space.
Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, announced that the Independence Square appeared in the Fortnite computer game. This is a special map “TheDonationMap”, implemented by Navas Dgtl Kyiv, in which the center of Kyiv is reproduced in detail. The goal of the project is to raise funds for the reconstruction of the outpatient clinic. According to him, the more time the player spends on the map, the more money will go to the restoration of Ukraine through UNITED24.
Zhytomyr oblast
Vitalii Bunechko, Head of Zhytomyr RMA, reported that the development of a deep-echelon defence system on the border of the oblast with belarus has been ongoing since 2022. According to him, in close cooperation with the military command in the north of the oblast, long-term firing positions made of reinforced concrete were built and engineering barriers were installed: anti-tank ditches, minefields, “dragon’s teeth”. Currently, builders are erecting additional fortifications to protect the Ukrainian border.
Zhytomyr RMA added that in four lyceums of Berdychiv, repair work is being carried out as part of the project of the UN Development Program, ECHO4SCHOOLS-UA: Build Back Better. Also, 31 educational institutions of the oblast, which were affected by russian aggression, will receive an updated educational environment. In addition, thanks to the support of the EU4UASchools: Build Back Better project, Berdychiv schools received new equipment and furniture.
On 23 March, in Kyiv, the representative office of the HALO Trust in Ukraine awarded the best instructors for the training of risks from explosive objects for the year 2023. Among those honored are the lifeguards of Zhytomyr oblast, Viacheslav Olishevskyi and Kostiantyn Melnyk. According to the results of the rating, the rescuers, among other specialists of the State Emergency Service, police officers, educators and volunteers, were nominated in the nominations “Best instructor for informing children” and “Best organiser of mass events”.
Sumy oblast
Sumy RMA reported that at night and in the morning, the russian army shelled twice border areas and settlements of the oblast and 16 explosions were recorded. The enemy fired mortars in Krasnopillia community and shelled Znob-Novhorodske community.
Sumy RMA added that in the sky over the oblast on the night of 27 March, the air defence forces of the oblast destroyed 2 enemy UAVs of the Shahed type.
During the previous day, 26 March, the russians carried out 36 attacks on Sumy oblast – a total of 181 strikes were recorded. 10 communities came under shelling: Stepanivka, Myropillia, Khotyn, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putivl, Shalyhine, Seredyna-Buda. The enemy used artillery, mortars, MLRS and UAVs. In addition, the russian military made 4 airstrikes from a helicopter with unguided missiles on the territory of Velyka Pysarivka community and 13 strikes on the territory of Bilopillia community, a guided aerial bomb attack was carried out by a tactical aircraft on the territory of the Stepanivka community.
Liudmyla Biriukova, Head of Velyka Pysarivka community, reported that 25 people, who refused to evacuate, were left to live in a 5km zone of the community. Before the full-scale invasion, 10,000 people lived there. According to her, local authorities, volunteers and humanitarian missions do not have access to the 5km border zone. There is no electricity in 20 out of 24 settlements of the community. There are no medical facilities in the community.
Nova Sloboda and Svesa communities became participants in the support program “Development and implementation of the public budget” from U-LEAD with Europe. As reported in RMA, the work will include a step-by-step approach to the implementation of the public budget of the local government and the development of a corresponding basic package of documents together with experts.
The second anniversary of the liberation of Trostianets community from the russian occupation was celebrated in Sumy oblast. Representatives of local authorities, the military and the public honoured the memory of soldiers and civilians who died defending Trostianets.
Chernihiv oblast
The State Border Service of Ukraine reported that yesterday russian troops carried out 10 mortar strikes on the territory of Novhorod-Siverskyi community and 8 artillery strikes on the territory of Semenivka community.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, announced that in three months of 2024, about 800 local residents were evacuated from the border area of Chernihiv oblast. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than three thousand people have left their homes on the border areas. According to him, settlements in a 20km zone, where more than 15,000 residents currently remain, are under threat of shelling.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Late in the evening, the enemy fired twice from artillery at Nikopol. More than half a dozen shells were fired by the occupiers targeting Chervonohryhorivka and Myrove communities. Fortunately, there was no damage or casualties.
During the day the Air Defence Forces destroyed a missile in Dnipro oblast.
A 55-year-old man was killed and a 49-year-old woman injured due to the shelling in Nikopol. In total, there were 8 attacks on Nikopol region during the day. The enemy launched 5 kamikaze drones and fired artillery 3 times. 2 multi-storey buildings, 12 private houses were damaged, an outbuilding was destroyed, 2 damaged, a truck, a car and a power line hit.
In the evening,.the military destroyed an enemy UAV in Dnipro oblast.
Vinnytsia oblast
Aid package was sent from Vinnytsia to the military unit. The soldiers serving near Bakhmut received powerful Motorola radios and Bandera Power charging stations.
Kirovohrad oblast
According to the RMA, in Kropyvnytskyi, military and veterans who are injured can receive UAH 20,000 from the city budget and another 15,000 from the regional budget for treatment.
Poltava oblast
The Rescue Center in Poltava has been operating for a year. During this time more than 1,500 people have received social, psychological, legal and information assistance. Among them, 70% are IDPs.
Cherkasy oblast
Cherkasy IT specialists are working on orders for the military. It took 4 months to print 150kg of parts on 3D printers. Orders for parts are received from the Druk Army website. This is a community of Ukrainians who print and help the Armed Forces. Volunteers send the finished products to the military free of charge. The finished parts’ cost is lower than the prices offered to customers in stores.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Yesterday russian forces launched 386 strikes on 7 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The russian military personnel conducted an aviation strike on Malynivka. 46 UAVs attacked Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Novoandriivka. 5 MLRS targeted Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne. 334 artillery strikes were carried out on the territory of Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, Levadne and Verbove. There were 39 reports of residential buildings and infrastructure objects being destroyed. Civilians were not harmed.
The General reported that the enemy attacked our defenders’ positions with aviation support 7 times towards Staramaiorske in Donetsk oblast, Robotyne and northwest of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
Zaporizhzhia RMA announced that as of today, the Defence Fund of Zaporizhzhia oblast has accumulated UAH 1.5bn. Expenditures from the regional budget and the budgets of regional communities are directed towards strengthening our army and defence. Plans include filling the Defense Fund of Zaporizhzhia oblast with up to UAH 2bn.
Zaporizhzhia City Council decided that students from 24 educational institutions in Zaporizhzhia will return to a mixed learning format. The next step is to approve this decision at the Defence Council in the coming days. The transition to a mixed learning format will be implemented solely at the parents’ request. Only those institutions equipped with shelters will be able to operate in this format.
Mykolaiv oblast
On 27 March, enemy forces attacked Mykolaiv with ballistic missiles. According to preliminary information, the city may have been targeted with Iskander-M missiles. Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych reported that there were 8 casualties as a result of the terrorist attack. He also added that there were minor damages to 4 residential buildings.
According to Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, russian troops shelled the waters of Ochakiv community by mortars yesterday, without any casualties.
Deminers from the Halo Trust humanitarian demining organisation cleared approximately 360,000 sq m of land in Mykolaiv oblast. It is only ten percent of all mined areas in the region. The work is being carried out using mechanical and manual inspection methods.
A meeting with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross took place in Mykolaiv. Yurii Hranaturov, Deputy Chief of Mykolaiv RMA, held a meeting with a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross, led by its president Thomas Forster. Referring to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, the parties discussed a number of important issues, including support for the population in affected areas, Ochakiv hospital, and assistance to Mykolaiv Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination.
Odesa oblast
Odesa Botanical Garden was damaged by the russian ballistic strike on the evening of 25 March. The blast wave blew out the windows and doors of the greenhouses and adjacent buildings, causing damage to many plants.
Currently, it is known that about 18 vessels are in the port of Odesa, another 17 in Chornomorsk and 12 in Pivdennyi.There are 5 chemical tankers among all the vessels. Also, 5 vessels are heading to the ports for entry and 12 are leaving. A queue of bulk carriers has formed near the Sulina channel, which are supposed to enter the Danube ports. Currently, there are more than 30 vessels in Izmail, Ust-Dunaisk and Kiliia, which are carrying agricultural and metal products.
Kherson oblast
Today, russian occupiers launched a kamikaze drone strike on a residential building in the village of Mykhailivka, Berislav region. A 61-year-old resident was fatally wounded in her own home.
Since early morning, russians have been shelling Kherson. An office building downtown was damaged as a result of the attack. Nearby residential buildings also had windows broken by the blast wave.
Yesterday the enemy shelled Tiahynka, Beryslav, Novoberyslav, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Kachkarivka, Respublikanets, Odradokamianka, Zolota Balka, Lvove and the city of Kherson. Three people were injured due to russian aggression. Private houses, a multi-story building and a car were damaged as a result of the shelling.
The enemy attacked a civilian vehicle in Odradokamianka carrying humanitarian aid, specifically water and bread for the local population, by two FPV drones. The vehicle and its cargo were destroyed as a result of the explosions.

Yesterday in the morning, the enemy dropped ammunition from a drone onto a residential quarter in Beryslav. A 50-year-old man sustained blast injuries and firearm wounds to his upper and lower limbs as a result of the explosion. On the same day, two more residents of the city were attacked by a strike drone. Also russians attacked Dniprovske by FPV, damaging a multi-story building.
On 25 March, occupying forces struck Chervonyi Maiak by guided aviation bombs. The territory of the agribusiness firm and at least 6 residential buildings were damaged as a result of the powerful explosions.
Daily counter-battery battles continue in the operational zone of the Southern Defence Forces. The occupiers conducted 3 assaults on our positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson oblast in an attempt to dislodge our units from their positions. After suffering losses, about 30 eliminated and wounded, the enemy retreated to their original positions. According to the South Operational Command, enemy losses for the previous day on Orikhiv and Kherson fronts amounted to 116 occupiers and 31 units of equipment and military vehicles.
A mobile medical brigade visited Vysokopillia community. Over three days, lawyers, psychologists, social workers and paediatricians worked in Zarichne, Ivanivka and Mala Shesternia. Specialists provided assistance to more than 230 residents, including children with disabilities and large families.
Psychosocial support centres of the Ukrainian Red Cross have started operating in Bilozerka and Muzykivka communities. These centres are safe places where specialists will take care of the mental health of visitors. They were set up as part of the project called “Strengthening humanitarian response in underserved, remote, and rural areas of the most affected eastern and southern regions of Ukraine”, supported by the Danish Red Cross.
The distribution of humanitarian aid to residents of Kherson oblast continues. Yesterday residents of liberated territories received 2285 food kits, 2530 loaves of bread, 250 servings of hot meals, 305 vegetable sets, 305 sets of planting seeds and 24516 litres of drinking water. Additionally, people received 20 pillows, 10 first aid kits, 5 kg of nails, 6 shovels, 10 sets of emergency shelters, 140 hygiene kits, 24 bags of cement, 5 litres of concentrate and 350 LED light bulbs.

Lutsk City Council sent 2 DJI MAVIC 3 Fly more combo quadcopters, 2 DJI MAVIC 3 Thermal quadcopters, 2 Starlink satellite modems, a Lenovo tablet and laptop, a standalone diesel heater, two chainsaws, an EcoFlow Delta Max charging station and an Alientech Duo II signal booster to the National Guard of Ukraine (the military unit 3018), who carry out combat missions to protect the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine from russian invasion.
Zakarpattia oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Oleh Zabarylo, Director of the Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure of Lviv City Council, reported that the Berlin transport company is ready to send 12 used KT4D working trams and their spare parts to Lviv free of charge. Lviv has to pay for transportation, customs clearance and conversion of wagons to the width of Lviv track.
In February of this year, 8,268 IDPs were placed in the private housing sector of Lviv oblast. The Department of Fuel and Energy Complex, Energy Efficiency and Housing and Communal Services of Lviv oblast submitted an application for funding compensation for the costs of accommodation (stay) of IDPs in February 2024 in the amount of over UAH 3.5m.
In January 2024, 8,465 IDPs were accommodated in the private housing sector in Lviv oblast. The total amount of compensation to the owners of residential premises of the private housing fund, who accommodated IDP in these premises free of charge, for January 2024 amounted to over UAH 3.8m.
Medics of the National Rehabilitation Center UNBROKEN Ukraine are improving the rehabilitation of people with visual impairments. Specialists underwent training in two specialised medical centres at once, where they improved their eye prosthetics skills. During the internship, UNBROKEN specialists gained not only skills in eye prosthetics, but also improved methods of effective physical and psychological rehabilitation of patients. Vardizer Clinic and Ichilov Medical Center are known throughout the world for their vast experience in eye prosthetics and rehabilitation of people with visual impairments.
Lviv community sent 875 FPV drones worth UAH 12.7m to the military as part of the Lion’s Revenge initiative thanks to the budget funds. In total, in January-February 2024, Lviv City Hall supported the army for over UAH 119m.
Rivne oblast
Rivne City Hospital received medical equipment that will prevent amputations worth almost UAH 11.5m from the RT Weatherman American Foundation as part of the project to support Ukrainian wounded and victims of the war.
Rivne EUROFORUM: Energy Efficiency, Sustainable Community Development took place in Rivne, during which the Decarbonization Office was opened together with representatives of the State Energy Efficiency Agency. As of today, Rivne is the only city in Ukraine where the decarbonization strategy will be implemented.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil City Council will help defenders from the community to purchase their housing with a mortgage loan under the yeOselia program. This program allows military personnel to obtain a loan for the purchase of housing for 20 years at a minimum interest rate. And the first contribution, which provides for 20%, Ternopil City Council will compensate the defenders, so that they have the opportunity to purchase their housing.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community sent 3 large buses (57 seats) to the Defense Forces thanks to the Volunteers of Podillia CF, the Volunteers of Podillia CF and partners from German Haldensleben.
Chernivtsi oblast
Chernivtsi RMA presented Vadym Hilchuk with the For the glory of Bukovyna award. The veteran border guard in the Ukrainian national team won gold at the powerlifting competition in the weight category up to 65kg. The Air Force Trials 2024 veterans and servicemen competition took place in Las Vegas. Vadym was wounded last year on his birthday in the battles near Bakhmut. He lost both legs, but thanks to his courage and willpower, he does sports.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
The World Bank approved a loan for Ukraine in the amount of $1.5bn to support the Growth Foundations (DPL) development policy. The funds will be provided under the guarantee of the Government of Japan through the Trust Fund of the World Bank in the amount of $984m and under the guarantee of Great Britain in the amount of $516m.
Slovenia joined the Czech initiative for the purchase of shells to Ukraine. Jan Lipavsky, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, did not name a specific amount, but Slovenian media reports that the government may allocate €1m.
Sebatien Lecornu, French Defense Minister, announced that the country will soon be able to supply Ukraine with 78 Caesar self-propelled artillery units, and will also increase the supply of ammunition. In addition, France is participating in the search for existing stocks of gunpowder and ammunition that could be bought in countries outside the European Union within the framework of the Czech initiative.
The Rheinmetall German concern received over €130m from the EU to increase ammunition production. The funds came under the Ammunition Support Act (ASAP).
China, UAE and Turkey strengthened control over compliance with the sanction, which led to delays and refusals in money transfers to the russian federation. Banks in these countries began to require written guarantees from clients that their transactions do not involve individuals or legal entities that are under sanctions.
A UN mission recorded the execution by russian troops of 32 Ukrainian prisoners during the winter. Organization’s experts published a report and also conducted interviews with 60 Ukrainian military personnel recently released from captivity. The UN Mission states that the respondents said that the russian military tortures the prisoners: they use electric current, commit sexual violence, force them to stay in an uncomfortable position for a long time, threaten to shoot them or imitate it. In addition, the mission documented credible reports of the execution of at least 32 Ukrainian prisoners of war between 1 December, 2023 and 29 February, 2024.
